"It's called a shower," I moved to elbow him off, "you should try it sometime."

Finally, we say our goodbyes and I immediately shut my computer before any other fiasco happens.

Pedro throws his head back and laughs. He sucks in a sharp breath, "like," he says with his exaggerated LA accent, "I have to be sad when I feel like I need to be sad."

He continues, "I also will totally not smile at your lame jokes," he purses his lips and makes a face.

"Wait, that's what that means?"

Pedro nods at me, "yeah that's what that means."

"I thought that meant, like, I'll cry when I want to and smile when I want to."

"Well," he caresses my cheek, "you're not too far off."

I wave my hands, "ok, ok, now do the rest, and do it properly this time."

He playfully growls at me, "well, it's kinda hard to do Shakespeare when this cute lil thing is distracting me."

Departamento Estadual de Estradas de Rodagem chega ao fim de 2023 com obras realizadas em todos os municípios de Rondônia

Ponte no rio Cabreúva, na RO-370, entregue pelo Governo de Rondônia para a população   O Departamento Estadual de Estradas de Rodagem e Transportes (DER) termina o ano de 2023 superando as expectativas na realização de obras nos 52 municípios de Rondônia. Responsável por cerca de seis mil quilômetros de vias com e sem pavimento, o Governo do Estado trabalha para melhorar, a cada ano, a infraestrutura viária. Serviços de recuperação e melhoria da RO-399, na Serra do Bosco O DER desenvolveu ações de manutenção da trafegabilidade devido ao período das chuvas, em janeiro, com obras nas Rodovias 420, 140, 133, 010, 408, entre outras. Por meio das Residências Regionais, foram executados os serviços de retirada de pontos de atoleiro, manutenção, restauração e substituição de pontes de madeira, abertura de saídas d’água. O Departamento ainda otimizou o trabalho com manutenções preventivas e corretivas periódicas do maquinário pesado, caminhões e frota de veículos leves. Ao mesmo tempo, as Usinas de Asfalto, responsáveis por cerca de 1.500 quilômetros de vias pavimentadas, iniciaram a recuperação asfáltica de rodovias como a RO-383, na região de Cacoal; e a RO-135 no distrito de Vila Marcão, pertencente a Alta Floresta d’Oeste, conhecida como Linha P50, na região de Rolim de Moura. O trabalho de reparação no asfalto é fundamental para maior vida útil das vias. Frentes de serviço fizeram a limpeza de vegetação nas laterais das rodovias, proporcionando melhor visibilidade e mais segurança. Também foi realizada a abertura de uma terceira pista na RO-010, com instalação de sinalização horizontal e vertical. Consolidando o objetivo de uma administração municipalista, o Governo do Estado, por meio do DER, fez a entrega de 52 retroescavadeiras e sete escavadeiras hidráulicas para 27 prefeituras, ainda no início do ano. A pavimentação das vias internas do Parque Tecnológico Vandeci Rack (em Ji-Paraná), onde é realizada anualmente a feira de agronegócio, a Rondônia Rural Show Internacional. Outra ação do Governo de Rondônia voltada aos municípios, foi o aumento do repasse do Fundo de Infraestrutura e Habitação (Fitha), totalizando R$ 50.521.925,00. São recursos que as prefeituras podem utilizar, principalmente, na recuperação de vias vicinais, substituição de pontes e aquisição de maquinário, melhorando a capacidade de realização de obras infraestruturais. Em abril, durante cerimônia de anúncio dos valores do Fitha, o governador Marcos Rocha destacou que cada município recebe o valor que condiz com a sua realidade, para que possa investir em projetos e ações que melhorem a qualidade de vida da população e impulsionem o crescimento econômico da região. “O Fitha é um Fundo essencial para o desenvolvimento dos municípios de Rondônia, que se pode assegurar recursos para melhorar a infraestrutura da malha viária, contribuindo para o escoamento da produção agrícola e pecuária, além de garantir a melhoria das condições de tráfego às pessoas que utilizam as estradas, diariamente”, salientou. RITMO ACELERADO Terminado o período das águas, o DER acelerou o ritmo de trabalho nas rodovias sob sua responsabilidade, assim como nos aeroportos do interior do Estado, como em Vilhena, Cacoal, Ji-Paraná, Ariquemes e Guajará-Mirim. No aeroporto “Capital do Café”, em Cacoal, foram investidos aproximadamente R$ 4 milhões para a obtenção da certificação operacional, emitida pela Agência Nacional de Avião Civil (Anac). Aeroporto de Cacoal recebeu diversas melhorias em 2023 Segundo o diretor-geral do DER, Éder André Fernandes, para alcançar esse objetivo, foram realizadas diversas melhorias na infraestrutura do aeroporto. “Por exemplo, a implantação de uma Estação Prestadora de Serviços de Telecomunicações e Tráfego Aéreo (EPTA), Estação Meteorológica de Superfície (EMS), Indicador de Percurso de Aproximação (PAPI) primário e secundário, execução de faixa de pista e faixa preparada, implantação RESA, supressão vegetal, sinalização vertical luminosa e sinalização horizontal da Pista de Pouso e Decolagem, construção de cerca operacional padrão ICAO, além da elaboração de planos e programas para a aprovação junto à Anac”, concluiu o diretor-geral, ressaltando que, tais melhorias foram essenciais à certificação do aeroporto e vão contribuir para o desenvolvimento da região. Dentro do escopo de infraestrutura viária e com o objetivo de atender às demandas municipalistas, o DER, ainda no começo de 2023, concluiu e fez a entrega de mais uma ciclovia no interior do Estado, no município Novo Horizonte do Oeste. Enquanto isso, as obras de asfaltamento interno do Parque Vandeci Rack seguiam. Até o início da feira anual de agronegócios, ao final de maio, equipes integradas do Departamento executaram a pavimentação de mais de 1800 metros de ruas no interior do parque, em um investimento em torno de R$ 3 milhões. Para o governador Marcos Rocha, “os investimentos no parque têm como objetivo, fomentar ainda mais o agronegócio, incentivando novos participantes, e impulsionando a economia do Estado. Com isso, é essencial todo o trabalho de infraestrutura, para possibilitar uma seguridade ao local e proporcionar amplo acesso aos rondonienses”, ressaltou. ABRAÇANDO DESAFIOS Trecho de asfaltamento concluído na RO-370, Rodovia TransRondônia Com todas as residências regionais, usinas de asfalto, coordenadorias e demais setores, executando as determinações do Plano Anual de Trabalho, o DER avançou também no que pode ser considerada uma das maiores obras da atual administração, o asfaltamento da RO-370, popularmente conhecida como Rodovia do Boi e ainda TransRondônia, em um investimento que supera os R$ 330 milhões e que é considerada estratégica para o escoamento da produção na região do Cone Sul e integração com as demais regiões de Rondônia. Na região de Rolim de Moura, conhecida como Zona da Mata, outra obra de impacto é a pavimentação de 25 quilômetros da RO-491, entre Santa Luzia d’Oeste e São Felipe d’Oeste. Na oportunidade de retomada dos serviços, ainda em maio, a agricultora Maria de Lurdes expressou seu alívio com a retomada das obras, que vão finalmente livrá-la dos problemas recorrentes de poeira e lama. “Esta obra é muito importante, porque só quem usa a Linha 45 sabe das dificuldades e dos transtornos que enfrentamos durante o período de chuva, com a lama; e no período seco, com a poeira”, declarou. Bem começou o segundo semestre, o Governo do Estado deu início à segunda e última etapa de pavimentação da RO-460, que interliga Buritis à BR-421, em Ariquemes. O DER já havia executado a pavimentação de 32 quilômetros da rodovia e as equipes em 2023 trabalharam na conclusão dos 23 quilômetros restantes, garantindo melhor trafegabilidade, mais segurança e menores custos aos produtores da região. CONSTRUÇÃO DE PONTES Um dos desafios da atual Administração Estadual está no objetivo de substituir pontes de madeira por estruturas de concreto. Paulatinamente e com muito planejamento na utilização dos recursos públicos, as metas estão sendo alcançadas. Por exemplo, cinco pontes de concreto, sendo uma na RO-133 e quatro na RO-257, na região do Vale do Jamari, foram entregues à população, ainda em julho. Ao todo, durante este ano, nove pontes de concreto e aço já foram entregues pelo Governo de Rondônia. “São obras que impulsionam a economia e garantem uma trafegabilidade segura aos usuários das rodovias. Com a construção dessas novas pontes de concreto, estamos proporcionando uma solução definitiva para a região, oferecendo uma infraestrutura mais durável e confiável, que trará benefícios a longo prazo aos moradores, produtores rurais e empresas locais”, explicou o diretor-geral do DER, Eder Fernandes. SUPERANDO EXPECTATIVAS Ao longo do segundo semestre, o DER, por meio de todas as suas residências regionais e usinas de asfalto, vem trabalhando na recuperação, manutenção e melhoria dos cerca de 6000 quilômetros de rodovias com e sem pavimentação, juntamente aos aeroportos de Vilhena, Cacoal, Ji-Paraná, Ariquemes e Guajará-Mirim, além dos Termos de Cooperação estabelecidos com diversas prefeituras em todo o Estado. Pavimentação urbana no município de Pimenta Bueno Tendo como base o Plano Anual de Trabalho, o Departamento vem executando o que está estabelecido no plano, otimizando recursos e entregando obras que garantem maior durabilidade e mais segurança para a população, além de auxiliar nas condições de melhoria na produtividade e no desenvolvimento econômico de Rondônia. De Porto Velho a Colorado do Oeste; de Guajará-Mirim a Ji-Paraná; de Vilhena a Buritis; de São Francisco do Guaporé, passando por Rolim de Moura até Pimenta Bueno.  Todos os 52 municípios estão sendo atendidos por obras do Governo do Estado executadas pelo DER, inclusive na infraestrutura urbana, reforçando o caráter municipalista da atual gestão. Exemplos são a recuperação da RO-475, entre Ouro Preto do Oeste e Vale do Paraíso; a reestruturação de 40 quilômetros da Linha-47, em Alta Floresta; a recuperação e melhoria ao longo de toda a Linha-78 em São Miguel do Guaporé; as ações de manutenção das Rodovias 133 e 472, além da RO-411, que está em processo de estadualização e conhecida popularmente como Linha do Km-12, em Ji-Paraná; entre centenas de obras executadas ao longo de 2023. Com o ano terminando, a direção-geral do DER e o corpo técnico de servidores e engenheiros já estão estruturando o Plano Anual de Trabalho de 2024, para que o órgão possa entregar mais obras, garantir maior segurança, trafegabilidade e contribuir para o desenvolvimento econômico e social de Rondônia. Well… I knew that Sanderson had more books, but didn’t know that he had a whole interconnected universe surrounding them! With my declining interest in Destiny, that was such a fun game but some people at the top, this will be worth looking into. If they’re as consistent quality as Mistborn, then it’ll be fun!

Nice bike. Horse themed to go along with Jaune’s usual knight getup, looks expensive, but a little gaudy and too spiky for my taste and not much room for passengers. I was thinking Cloud Strifes bike from Advent Children if he ever got one.

Jaune was inspired by Cloud as well. That one can hold his gear and then some. Unfortunately none of these bikes are much use in the city, like None said. Too many buildings, too noticeable, too traceable, not enough room. I can see Atlas having a few prototype-ish Sparrows though, to go along with their Super Soldier squad. Or one of Watts’ side projects. Haven’t seen Air Gear yet, but that can also be part of the projects. (it’s on my watch list!) Can’t let the general public know about these cool toys. Or the Gears can be an up and coming inventor project that Jaune sees the potential and uses Bears money to invest in. But unfortunately I don’t see any regular use of these rides.

Unless we make a mini-arc where Jaune and others have to do a Mad Max styled chase/fight through the Webway to stop some raiders or something. The magic girls flying and everyone else in kitted out vehicles like from Twisted Metal. With no regular gravity allowing everyone to ride on any surface, the ever changing nature of the Webway, it could be a fun ride. Quick question though, why are they all green and what’s a ‘waaagh’?

I was curious how Ruby was a magic girl when the storybook only had four Stars. But I probably just missed or forgot something, no biggie. I’m sure I’ll find it on rereads. Instead of mama Arc bugging Jaune to give her grand babies its mama Rose badgering Ruby! God help these kids if the mamas ever meet. The dads will be no help, just walking out back to fire up the grill. I can imagine Summer when Ruby brings Jaune home. She sees a good looking young man with her daughter practically hanging off him and her first question is “how do you feel about kids?”

Ruby: Mom! No! He’s just my bestie! Just friends!

Summer: Oh, my sweet summer child. You have no idea.

Ruby: Mom!

She’s over the moon when she learns he’s an Arc. So many grand babies to spoil! And if Ruby has any boys with Jaune, those Arc and Rose genes, SEW population explosion.

That can also be a story beat for Yue and Bluby. Blu has the ability but can’t use it because she wasn’t taught how and doesn’t follow the SEW Love Oath. Since she’s pretty selfish, jaded, closed off to prevent getting hurt again she can’t access her powers properly. It’s only after learning from Summer and getting some love that she didn’t growing up that she learns how to harness it. People can take Bluby more seriously than Ruby, but Ruby is more useful in fighting Grimm than Bluby is. She also learns that the SEW Oath isn’t something you can just trick or follow halfheartedly either, like how she Jack Sparrows it usually. It’s a slow growth, trauma like that doesn’t go away overnight RT!

And then Summer being the mom that she couldn’t be to Yue and Ying in their world. Tai being a better father too. Not either of their faults though. Aiko and Blake can team up to find Kali too. It may not be Aiko’s real mom but it’s still her mom!

@lar-mx the cavern system can be a good dungeon crawl. There was a cavern system in the Mountain Glen episode, so why not? Make the magic squad really handicapped since they can’t just blast their way through without compromising the caverns. Give them some irregular underground specialized Grimm to fight. Clearing it out can lessen the pressure on Vale. This can also be where Jaune earns his first Android(s) at the end of it. I can see the chaos that happens when a drop dead sexy Sekirei Servant follows him home.

Just to clarify with the Hive-doll, are you making all the androids connect to the hive mind or just that particular model? I think that it should only the one doll model, to make her special compared to her bigger and more combat capable siblings. Make it so despite on how the Hierarchy is structured, there is no demeaning the mini Dolls since they can’t emulate that particular ability. But yes, it can be very creepy with how small and quiet she is, or just mimics a doll, she can eavesdrop on near anyone and report back to Jaune. One of them can just lurk on the web, finding all kinds of juicy tidbits that even Nora hasn’t seen. As a bonus, the Hive Dolls can have a sixth sense on where the others are and what they’re doing at all times. So a form of gps between them.

To my understanding of Enuncia, if you speak the words correctly/perfectly then you don’t have any recoil. It’s when you mispronounce, enunciate the wrong parts, wrong cadence, or something similar, then it hurts you. I recall a few speakers, not perpetuals they don’t count, that used Enuncia without any problems. Who exactly, not sure. It was briefly mentioned on one of Majorkills videos, that’s all I know. We can also mix this with the Thuum as you have to possess a deep understanding of the word before you can even begin to train with it. And like I said Jaune wouldn’t use any in this story. Too long to learn and too overkill. I like the idea that gramps has an idea of the Words, or Old Tongue here, but not enough to be of use.

If he learns any it’ll be as old Hopebright Jaune and not this young Grimdark Jaune. By that time he’ll have mastered his fighting capabilities, learned to use his Starsteel weapons specialties at will, perfected his Semblance, gathered powerful allies, collected lots of magic tools, perhaps learned a few other almost magic styles, had a small army of kids, and so on. He can almost take on the world and win by this point. Some of those Arcs really take ‘duty til death’ seriously.

For the Grimm Ship finale, I was thinking that since they can’t beat the ship at its own naval game, they force it into their land one. Draw it out, Weiss and Bleiss freeze the waters to make a big enough area to actually have all hands be able to fight, Ruby and Bluby or Blake and Aiko stand guarding the two so they can keep the land up, and then just go to town. Perhaps even the Black Pearl gets fixed up enough to fly for short periods of time and have it bombard the Grimm from above.

By this arc the gang would have to know the other’s identities and assembled a crew before they even get there for the length of time they’d have to spend on that world to fight the ship. It could’ve even started with a couple of the gang literally dragging Jaune there for some time off, because everyone but him can see he needs it however not knowing what problems that lie ahead. Given Jaune’s luck, every ‘vacation’ the girls make him go on would only turn into another problem that needs fixing or something to give him more headaches. Like how the Scooby gang always get wrapped up in some kinda mystery even when they aren’t looking for one. Neither Jaune or Scooby can get a break can they?

Grimm, civil wars, bandits, corrupt kings, Grimm, gods, Fey, elves, devils, Grimm, dragons, uprisings, apocalypse, slavery rings, Grimm again, prophecies, debts, outer gods, Grimm, aliens, artifacts, warlords, more Grimm, possessions, evil robots, revolutions, Grimm, werewolves, vampires, mages, extra Grimm, is Death itself having a coffee, that’s a lot of monster girls, do these guys really solve problems with card duels, what’s a Pokémon, was that a R63 version of Jaune, why are there dust dammed Grimm everywhere we go?! I’m trying to have a vacation dammit!

For Sun, if he becomes a warlock, to have a pact with his ancestor gives me a question/idea. The common thread for such legendary figures is an Aura Awakening. So what if those who Awakened, not Unlocked, join a sort of spectral club that lives in a sort of spiritual/ghostly form to continue to aid and protect the living. Like with spirits so strong to Awaken their own Auras, they don’t rest the same way that everyone else does. Just a thought.

A new student usurping Ciel’s role as president, forcing Jaune to confront and overcome him as Jaune is an interesting arc. Make him fill those Captain America shoes instead of his usual Batman ones. Bear only wanted him in the top percentile and not necessarily President, but this upset is a good opening for him to push Jaune in that direction. Him becoming a Vale councilman would be a natural progression of that situation. Jaune could see through the guy since the guy uses a magic item that alters perceptions. This happens in the first episode of Fairy Tail and the counter is awareness. Or rather Jaune’s regular exposure to magic can help him develop a sort of awareness to it. PRWBY being aware of the foul play could also support Jaune in his run for president. Or Jaune may not even be trying for the position, and his resistance against the guy and eventual win could ‘convince’ the student body volunteer him for it. ‘What do you mean I was elected as the SCP? I didn’t put my name on the ballot.’
