the black chara thats the emotional support for a white chara (andys whole thing is that he tells bad puns to rain to cheer her up - his one n only reason for existence is the do wtvr is best for rain is his literally a black chara that exists to prop up n support a white chara)

white feminism/white tears (how rain centers her own pain over the pain she caused andy, rain victimizes herself n openly argues w andy for turning on her n aligning himself w wy even tho she left him first - ofc they work thru this at the end but yk)

i rlly feel like andy has feelings for rain but hes been ‘brother zoned’ n his line abt ‘u can finally see me as a adult’ is what solidified that for me but i do think a mix of ableism n racism r at play there (black man being infantilized by the white woman he has feelings for bc of his blackness n mental (programming???) disability)

white savorism - inb4 rain ran back to andy at the end of the movie andy depended on rain for survival (needing help to fend off attackers at the start of the movie, rain constantly stepped in n defended andy against the anti-synth bigot which could be read as a metaphor for racism here, but its rain using her privilege as a flesh person (again metaphor for racism n ableism here) to constantly save andy that props her up as the Good Person even tho shes willing to use n abandon him)

like dont get me wrong its great to have a black n disabled chara on screen n its great that he gets to be morally ambiguous (my personal fave) n i like that andy n rain have a complicated messy relationship n they hurt each other (like ppl do) but yk … hard not to notice some of this stuff yk

n i do think its on purpose bc synths r seen as not human/subhuman in the same way poc n neurodivergent ppl r (esp for his lack of empathy n emotions) hes viewed as inherently dangerous (like men of color r viewed as being innately violent n aggressive n mentally ill ppl r seen as violent n unpredictable)

Hey I’m the person who actually started the “adult attracted minors” community and i just wanted to say same hat unfortunately. I was being groomed both online by pr-shippers and irl, and was told a lot of messed up stuff and taken advantage of bc of my crushes on adults. i don't blame you, i don't think you're a terrible person, and i don't think you're at fault. for any of this. i went through a wildly messed up pipeline that ended up with me in an extremely dark place because of pr-shippers & others taking advantage of my isolation & my interest in darker topics. there's a LOT of stuff i was pressured into doing by adults who should've said otherwise, and a lot of relationships that weren't okay. there's a lot of stuff i'm honestly scared of being found and dug up because of what i was told was okay when i was 12-14 that left a lasting impression on me.

talking about it is important. i honestly can't blame you for making that a title because as i said, i would've ID'd with it! i was talking to a 20 year old when i was 15 making promises that if i was single when i was 18 we would date! i wanted that community and validation, and it makes sense that anyone would. but it's also important to seek out those communities and try to help them before they're taken advantaged of.

. Do you remember, when doy said he hates to practice with tae, coz he don't knw what is rest nd he nags while monitoring.... Nd it was the biggest reason for them to fight in rookies days..... I agree with you in some places, and disagree in others.

Taeyong is not a vocalist, so he can't be a person to be "afraid" of. To begin with, Doyoung doesn't have untouchable idols of his own. He has artists he loves and respects, but not those he worships. He asked (the) Taeyeon to future (who is way ahead of Taeyong in years of experience, solo works and vocal provess), approached Lucy band members, he got (the) Kangta to give him a song, and said to (the) Kenzie that he wants to be the one who will sing the last song he will create in her career (very arrogant of him, heh, they are that close then). Here a producer who has known Doyoung since trainee days said how Do came to supervise and make corrections with post-productions of songs.

I think it is about "going solo", having an album made wholly by yourself. Mark wrote lyrics for an existing song. A song Doyoung picked and approached his favourite to ask to do a collab. A song with Tae will be Taeyong's vision, Taeyong's song. Not to mention, Tae was very busy with his own solo albums. There was probably no time to write a song from scratch, and one that perfectionist Do will like. Tae has a lot of experience as a song-writer, a rapper, but little as composer. The sound he goes for, his team of producer friends, do very different genres from Doyoung.

I agree that Doyoung pushes Taeyong for independance. He listened to Tae's songs and supported him, but he evaded giving more than "don't worry, do you". Tae said himself he is indecisive and needs opinions of others, their help. Do was always "throwing a puppy into the water to swim on its own" with him. I agree that Do didn't want any judgement from an experienced songwriter/producer, to not get more worries than he aleady had. And, looking at how Tae always praised Do's writing and singing, I don't think Do would believe him, in Tae being objective and not biased (ah, you are saying nice things because you are my friend). So in the end, Tae's help won't be of help. Again, Tae was in the middle of his own comeback and promotion when Do was wrapping up his album. Doyoung prepared his first solo album as a package deal, all the songs are a part of one "youth" theme (a book). I see why he would like for his friends, especially Tae (who he respects as a musician, yes), to listen to the final perfected result.

The closer people are to Do, the more harsh he can be with them. Doyoung letting Johnny listen to some songs before the debut isn't a sign of how close they are, actually. It's more about Do not being able to refuse this time, afraid to offend (after he did in the past with the muscial, Johnny always complained about Do not telling him things, not giving him tickets), or, as you said, wanting the verbal support but not being afraid Johnny will shake his resolve/opinion in any way (as JN not being high on the totem pole as an artist). Johnny is a good cheerleader, he genuinely supports his friends, is proud of them, a sertified Do's fanboy. He is a people person, he knows how to find words. Other members also mention it.

The boyfriend factor. Is also a good reason for Tae's absence on the album. Mark is in the child category. MarkDo is not TaeDo, there is no co-dependance, Mark is not Jae's rival.

One day Taeyong will win, we will get TaeDo duet, I'm positive. Either as a single, or on the second album.

it was around this time that things were starting to look up - his mama met a really nice man named marcel n while things moved really fast for them they seemed to be a perfect match, soon she was engaged and giving birth to triplets and they even moved into his place in aquila drive, everything was coming up roses

unfortunately as soon as things were good they sort of came to an immediate crash - lydia n marcel tried for another bebe before their wedding but she ended up having a miscarriage :( this sort of sent her into a depressive spiral for a really, really long time

it was bad enough that marcel eventually had enough, she wouldn’t take her medication, wouldn’t talk to a therapist, couldn’t even get out of bed, so he said she had to shape up or go back to their place in lilac ridge, and stubborn as she was she packed everything up that night and the 5 of them went back to their little trailer, this time with a lot less room and a lot more responsibility on forrest’s shoulders

since he was about 14 he’s juggled an abundance of jobs to help his family, it was especially hard when they moved back to lilac ridge, he mostly took care of his little brothers and mum when he could but he had school and work on top of it, it rly was the sort of stress no one shld go thru but he did at a rly young age for quite a long time

Ok this has been in my (Twitter) drafts for so long but I wanted to wait till I finish all 500 episodes to post this lol. I love Naruto but God, the writing for its female characters is shit. This is written based only on Naruto and Naruto Shippūden (manga and anime). I think it got better in Boruto but I’ve yet to see it. Anyway

Women are not given the burden of carrying important roles that represent relationships built throughout the series, as if, they are not capable of creating bonds strong enough to drive a character even though it is what Naruto is all about; the importance of bonds between humans. 

Examples of relationships; 

Friends: Naruto-Sasuke, Kakashi-Obito 

Kouhai-senpai: Itachi-Shisui 

Siblings: Itachi-Sasuke 

Student-teacher: Naruto-Jiraiya, Naruto-Iruka, Asuma-Shikamaru 

Patriotism: Itachi-Konoha, Shisui-Konoha 

Lovers to enemies: Hashirama-Madara ( :p )

These relationships as we all know are the basis of the series’ plots and developments. I mean, if not for Naruto’s feelings towards Sasuke, the anime won’t exist... and if not for Sasuke’s feelings towards Itachi, he wouldn’t have abandoned Naruto... and if not for Itachi’s patriotism towards his village, he wouldn’t have killed off the Uchiha clan, which is the reason why Sasuke hated him in the first place. These three related, complementing events are I think crucial instances of what the Naruto universe is built upon. They also are the reason other relationships were able to be expanded (i.e. Itachi-Shisui share the same loyalty and love for Konoha, Naruto became Jiraiya’s apprentice to be able to compete with Sasuke). 

And as u can see, no female characters are involved at all. Only time female characters are seen creating bonds and/or have a role to move the plot is when they are driven by romance (e.g. Hinata-Naruto, Tsunade-Dan, Karin-Sasuke). This paints the idea that women are only concerned of men and romance in the anime?? Even a simple friendship between female characters was almost impossible to be portrayed healthily (i.e. Sakura-Ino are supposedly good friends but they always put down each other). 

The anime itself has agreed that the sole reason a female is present amongst male characters is because they are able to be motivated when a woman is around to be impressed, which will lead them to wanting to improve themselves and become better shinobi. 

When Kakashi asked Hiruzen why were Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura put together in a team, the answer he got was because Sasuke needs someone with the experience of using Sharingan to be there for him when his is activated and in order to be able to control the Kyuubi inside Naruto in case it goes berserk again, Sharingan is needed, which is a sound reason why the two of them are put together. 

And Sakura??? Hiruzen said (omg it still pisses me off), she’s only in Team 7 because that would drive the boys to become stronger because they would want to impress Sakura. Like?? She only exists to be a fucking trophy that could be won is it?? That’s it?? I think this was why at first I was against Sakura and Sasuke’s relationship. IT DIDN’T SEEM TRUE. Yea yea I know there are scenes that have suggested their feelings are mutual but lol let’s be real. Boruto saved it. If not for how they’re presented in Boruto,,, lol. 

Anyway, Kakashi was seen to be on the same page with Hiruzen because he was reminded of how Obito worked hard to catch up to him so that he could impress Rin. The same thing happened to Hiruzen’s team; Jiraiya wanted to beat Orochimaru just to catch Tsunade’s attention. I understand that it is natural for boys (and girls) to improve themselves in order to attract the person they like but to give female characters no role other than to be a trophy?? That’s just dumb and objectifying. 

Sakura got a shit ton of hate ever since Naruto (her character only improved A BIT in Shippūden), and honestly, Idt it’s her fault. Her character writing was so shit that all she ever did was scream Sasuke’s name and when Sasuke is knocked out, she’d call for Naruto. She has a great potential to become a kunoichi of the same level as her teammates but the anime never tried to put the spotlight on her. A lot of times we saw other characters say “wow Sakura has potential” but we never see that being polished on screen. 

If only she was given the chance to take an active role in battles, maybe the anime would’ve appeared better in regards to its treatment towards female characters. The only battle that I remember of with Sakura taking an active part in it??? Her fight with Sasori. Not saying that her role during the war is insignificant but even with that in mind, when Sasuke is present, she could only think of him?? 

And SHE COULD’VE STOPPED MUGEN TSUKUYOMI BY DESTROYING OBITO’s RINNEGAN BUT BECAUSE SHE HESITATED, MADARA MANAGED TO STEAL IT!!

Why did she hesitate?? She’s a medic nin fgs?? This is what I meant by her writing is shit. The Sakura that I know wouldn’t think twice to do what she needed to. AND to think that just a few moments before, SHE SAVED NARUTO’S LIFE?? BY PUMPING HIS HEART USING HER HAND??? And he survived!! With her aid!! The fact that she managed to pull that off but not destroying Obito’s Rinnegan is just pure bullshit. 

But I’m sort of glad they had the filler episodes where they showed Sakura’s (and Ino’s) growth, how they went thru their training and stuff. It’s not much but thanks for the fillers I guess?? The manga can go suck some balls. 

Another mention of a female character being disregarded as an important ninja would be Konan. Throughout the Naruto vs Akatsuki arc, Konan’s skills and determination have been displayed countless of times. And I’m glad she was given the chance to prove her ability but what rubbed me off the wrong way was Jiraiya’s opinion on her. Every time he spoke of the three orphans he took in, he always mentioned Nagato’s strength and Yahiko’s desire to bring peace in a positive manner. But when it comes to Konan, his only adjective for her was “pretty”. 

Konan is more than just a feminine presence with beauty as her only personality?? She’s a strong-willed person who is able to stand alongside her comrades in fighting for what they believe in. She was willing to sacrifice herself in order to defeat Obito/Madara in a heartbeat!! Jiraiya could’ve said better things about her. 

From this, we can say how biased a male character’s view is on other females?? As if, only men would fight against injustices of the shinobi world but women?? uwu she pretty yes she will grow up to be a beautifoOl woman. 

Kishimoto couldn’t write women very well and he admitted this himself but God, I wish he would’ve tried harder. Not able to write women well is such a shitty excuse for a writer... especially when we know his female characters are capable just as much as their male counterparts. 

Also I try to take this positively but you know how during Naruto’s time, the only medic nins are his female characters? (i.e. Sakura, Ino, Tsunade) I think he meant to portray women as healers and that’s a pure intention but lol it also sort of sends the message that to him, no matter how smart and talented a woman is, they shall not be given the duty to fight!! They should just wait and be ready to receive injured comrades while the boys go fight evil and bring peace!! I wanna give credit to him for making women healers but lol does he deserve it??

Suspect Accused Of Killing 3 University Of Virginia Football Players

A former University of Virginia football player is in jail on suspicion of shooting and murdering three football players and injuring two additional students on campus late Sunday night[1]. After a manhunt in Charlottesville, Virginia, the suspect was taken into custody[1].

Jim Ryan, the president of the University of Virginia, revealed the names of the three football players who were shot and killed: junior defensive end/linebacker D’Sean Perry of Miami, junior receiver Lavel Davis Jr. of Dorchester, South Carolina, and junior receiver Devin Chandler of Huntersville, North Carolina[1].

Just before 11 a.m. in Henrico County, Virginia, the shooting suspect, named as Christopher Darnell Jones Jr. was reportedly caught[1]. Jones, 22, was detained and booked with three charges of second-degree murder and three counts of using a weapon in the conduct of a felony, according to University of Virginia Police Chief Tim Longo[1].

Online records show that Jones is still detained at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail[2]. According to James Hingeley, the Commonwealth's Attorney for Albemarle County, Jones was assigned a public defender until his upcoming hearing in December, which will be a status hearing where it will be discussed whether Jones has hired a private attorney[2].

According to a university official, Jones traveled to Washington, DC, on Sunday with other UVA students to see a play[2].

Two more students, one of whom was in severe condition, were shot, according to Ryan, and were taken to the hospital[1]. Junior running back Mike Hollins is one among the injured pupils, according to his father, who spoke to The Washington Post[1]. After being shot in the back, Michael Hollins Sr. informed The Post that his son is in “stable” condition[1].

The shooting happened after the students got back to campus following a field trip on a charter bus[1]. Tony Elliott, the football coach at Virginia, said in a statement that his squad is going through “devastation and anguish[1].”

According to Ryan, the students took a field trip to Washington, D.C., on Sunday to see a play[1]. After sharing a dinner together, “someone among them opted to execute an act of violence,” according to Longo[1]. Longo was informed that Jones had been captured by another law enforcement official 13 minutes into the 20-minute news conference on Monday[1]. Longo took a moment to breathe after reporting the arrest[1].

Chris Jones Sr., Jones’ father, told Richmond TV station WTVR that he was shocked after receiving a call from the police on Monday[1]. “My sympathy is with their families.” He responded, “I don’t know what to say other than on his behalf, I’m sorry and I apologize[1].”

According to the proprietor of Dance's Sporting Goods in Colonial Heights, Jones bought two firearms this year, a semiautomatic rifle and a pistol, in separate transactions[2]. Jones also tried twice to purchase a pistol there, but he was denied in 2018 because he was under the age (21) required to purchase a weapon[2]. Three years later, according to Dance, he attempted to purchase a gun but failed a background check[2]. Virginia State Police Spokesperson Corinne Geller wrote in an email to CNN that an inquiry into the attempted purchase on July 8, 2021 discovered that Jones' request was denied by the state police gun transaction center because of an outstanding legal situation[2].

The court removed the ban on further transactions in October 2021 after reducing the active case to a misdemeanor, according to Geller[2]. University of Virginia Police was contacted by CNN for comment regarding the shooting inquiry and the weapon used, but no response was received[2].

Longo said during the press conference that Jones’ remarks about having a gun on campus were brought to the attention of the university’s multidisciplinary threat assessment team in September[1]. The individual, who was not connected to the university, according to Longo, had never seen the pistol[1].

Longo claimed that there were no threats made in conjunction with the remark regarding Mr. Jones carrying a pistol[1]. He also said that Jones’ remarks concerning the gun were reported to the office of student affairs, which then attempted to talk with Jones[1].

According to Longo, Jones’ roommate told the university that he had not seen a firearm[1].

Later, the university discovered that Jones had faced misdemeanor concealed handgun charges in February 2021 outside of Charlottesville[1]. He was supposed to inform the university of the criminal accusations, but he didn't[1]. Longo stated that Jones was the subject of administrative charges brought by the university through the judiciary council, and that the case was still pending[1].

How do you do the text gradient on your posts😯 i’ve always tried, but i can’t for some reason place it in a whole fic post like you do….pls teach me

hi omg i never thought i'd be getting an ask like this, but sure i'd be happy to help ! btw i do this on pc coz idk how to do it on ios/android </3

firstly, i think i shld say that i suggest this be the Last thing you do for your fic. tumblr editors are kinda weird sometimes so just to be safe, make sure you've already edited and finalized everything about your fic or else you may or may not lose the coding for the gradient </3

anyways so u open tumblr on pc and this coding website on another tab. i suggest you paste your fic first into a post before doing all the codes so that you can just copy paste the codes later.

in the post editor, go to the old one / non beta editor > settings icon > text editor then click on the dropdown button and change to HTML.

from here, you can copy the text that you want to have a gradient (the ones in black color or click preview to find the text easier) then move to the coding website. in the big white box at the bottom right, there are 2 smaller white boxes where you can type. paste the text in the upper box (or you can just type it there if it's not too long).

ok then you need to choose 2 colors for the gradient. click the red box then the up-down button (idk what that's rlly called) twice until 'hex' appears. type the hex code manually or copy paste if that works for you (it doesn't for me idk why). then just do the same with the green box using the second color you want. once you've inputted the colors, just click run and it should look smth like this (below).

then you just select the entire code in the lower box and copy. go back to the tumblr editor and look for the original text in the HTML. select that, making sure you're only highlighting the ones in black then paste the code there.

do the same for the other text you want to have gradient then save draft or post or wtvr you want. make sure Not to go back to the new editor before saving! idk if tumblr still does this, but doing that won't save the codes you just added 💔

altho i said earlier this shld prolly be the last thing you do for your posts, if there rlly is still smth you wanna edit later, you can do one of two things: (1) if it still allows you to change back to the new editor (which recently doesn't happen for me), i usually open a different draft that doesn't have additional codes and change editors there; if it doesn't give you the beta button on the top right, just close (not save draft) then my best suggestion is to (2) edit on mobile </3 the second is the safer choice so i personally do that !

I know what is like to nothave a dad present in your life and resenting him because he abandoned you (orin this case, feeling like heabandoned you) but as I already explained before, that’s not the case here!!Hyun Jae did try in many opportunities to improve their relationship (becauseat the end, he was his future-self’s son). He wanted Ji Hoon to pursue hisdream of being a singer, so in ep 13 he actually tried to him so Gwang Jaewouldn’t know he was a trainee. He actually encouraged him to stand up to GwangJae and Bo Hee and tell them his real wish and actually stood up to Gwang Jaeand told him to allow Ji Hoon pursue his dream (and that actually caused adiscussion between them). In other opportunities he kept on showing his support(and in a lot of those opportunities Ji Hoon didn’t want him close… so don’t putall the blame in Hyun Jae) heck, he even fixed the song Ji Hoon had written sohe and MC Hammer could debut with it. It wasn’t until ep 28 where Ji Hoonactually confessed how he felt towards HJ and where their relationship actuallytook a deeper step (because they were sincere with each other u see?? Developmentis great!)

At the beginning Hyun Jae did encourage Ji Hoon to bepersistent with Woo Seung, but along the way he realized he had feelings forher as well (“this does not happen in real life omg” believe me, it does) and andwhat did he do? He told Woo Seung he liked her, and you know what happened?? TURNS OUT WOO SEUNG ALSO HAD FEELINGS FORHIM WOAAH (but… you know… he “stole” her from Ji Hoon, as in he kidnappedher and put her in the trunk of a car and was like “ B!#CH EITHER YOU LIKE MEOR I’LL SELL YOU TO THE BLACK MARKET aw what a sweet love story”)

NGL at first I did think Ji Hoon and Woo Seung were going toend up together (because I expected a full cliché) but then.. I started torealize things… and started to feel guilty because I liked Woo Seung and HyunJae’s interactions more than hers with Ji Hoon… and then suddenly it hit methat I was rooting for them so fucking hard they became my otp)

P.S Don’t think I’m hating on Ji Hoon lmao, the thing is hisdevelopment started way after everyone else’s and that’s why –at least for me-in most of the situations I quoted he isn’t exactly my cup of tea. However, asI previously said, his development actually began in the last episodes (I couldsay it actually started with Hyun Jae’s conversation in ep 28) and at the endhe was the sweet guy I first fell for in the first episode.
