You had just returned from a fun night of trick-or-treating in the Neighborhood, when it was time to return to Home. You knocked on Home's Door and a strange, warm glowy mist emerged from the door. Curious, you smiled and entered...

You beheld a beautiful, long dark tail...Probably Home had helped out for that...You beamed in amazment as a beautifully dressed naga puppet man, dressed in raven black with ghostly sleeves and long, branch-like antlers appeared from the shadow...As he sang, he wrapped a nest of coils all around the both of you...

''Sorrow and fear are easily forgotten when you submit to the soil of the earth...''

It was only then that you saw the hues of a rainbow-like nature that you held so dear...And your brain sighed peacefully and let itself be lulled by it...Barely noticing that you were now astride a thick coil and lifted.

Hunter(TOH) x Lorna(Más Allá del Jardín) Lectora (TRADUCCION)

¡OKAY!¡Se que tenia que traer una petición hoy pero se me vino esta ideota y tenía que sacarla lo mas pronto posible!¡publicare la siguiente petición mañana o pasado mañana a mas tardar lo juro!

como, la lectora es una niña que fue maldecida desde muy joven, talvez por magia salvaje, talvez por enemigos de su familia, pero tiene una entidad que absorbe su energia volviendola enfermisa y solo puede ser controlada con una campana especial(es como su equivalente al elixir de Eda).

su tia Susurros la sobreprotege MUCHO, ya que es la unica familia que tiene y porque no quiere que nadie sea víctima de la maldición de Lorna! lectora si se llega a activar, pero también se especializa en el aquelarre de curacion para poder ayudar a su sobrina.

es una de las formas en las que podria conocer a Hunter.

ya sea que Hunter como Guardia Dorado vaya a recolectar algo de la casa de la Tia Susurros o que ella lleve a lectora al palacio para ser tratada por curadores, Hunter queda con la impresion de la chica, alguien bastante debil, si, pero cuando sabe que es porque esta maldecida, no puede evitar empatizar y comparar un poco la situacion con Belos(por más insano que sea, Hunter aun amaba a su tío en ese entonces).

¿se imaginan si Hunter al principio tambien pensaba que Lorna! lectora vivia en un hogar abusivo? irónicamente Tia susurros era mejor tia con el en 1 hora que Belos en toda su vida 🤣

Hunter al principio trataria de hablar con Lorna! lectora por fines de investigación, cree que si puede saber como funcionan las maldiciones de otros entonces podria entender la maldición de Belos, pero como dije su empatia se dispara al ver como es que Lorna! lectora tiene que distraerse de tener un cuerpo enfermo(siendo controlado parcialmente por un demonio) haciendo tareas del hogar para tratar de suprimir la entidad que ahora controla su vida.

Lorna! lectora permitio las interacciones porque 1- Hunter tenia mas o menos su edad y 2- creia que si ella tenia un mejor entendimiento de su maldición, sería mas facil manejarla. ademas, ella queria un amigo.

a partir de esto, Hunter empezaria a monstrar su faceta mas real y no solo la del Guardia Dorado, si el tenía que hacer un recado a lo de la tía Susurros, el ayudaria en las tareas de Lorna! lectora(aún si tuvo que aprenderlas desde cero porque el no tenía NI IDEA del como era el mantenimiento de una casa. solo digamos que ahora aprecia mas al crew de limpieza), si se la topaba haciendo un mandado ahora el cargaba sus cosas o si solo estaba paseando la llevaba de caballito devuelta a su casa ¿no sabe que con estos vientos se puede resfriar? si ella quiere evitar enfermarse deberia hacer menos esfuerzo.

Hunter incluso se llega a sentir comodo contándole a lectora sobre las cosas que leyo sobre magia salvaje, el se justifica diciendo que quiere que ella pruebe todos los métodos posibles para curar su maldición, y en parte es cierto, pero en general le gusta como lectora escucha atentamente a sus rants sin aburrirse y muestra un interés real en lo que tiene que decir.

Hunter definitivamente estaria bastante sacado si tuviera que lidirar con la transformación maldita de lectora, aunque mas que nada estaria muy perturbado por el hecho de que lectora tiene que lidiar con esa cosa a diario..

digamos que dispara su lado mas protector, FÍSICAMENTE PROTECTOR, Hunter sera algo ignorante como Guardia Dorado, pero a este punto tambien es amigo de lectora y no dejara que la linchen por algo que no puede controlar.

siento que mientras Hunter estaba en su etapa de Guardia Dorado le insisita mucho a lectora que se uniera al aquelarre de curacion, no solo porque "los aquelarres eran lo que el titan queria" sino también para ella misma tener habilidades magicas.

aunque a raiz de esto en la actualidad puede que Hunter estuviera abierto a enseñarle magia basica(ya que lectora es educada en casa) y terminaban pasando mas tiempo juntos. es un bonus.

a Hunter le gusta hablarle del mundo exterior a lectora, sabe lo que se siente estar encerrado y sin interacción (aunque en el caso de lectora, es por la seguridad de otros), por lo que termina pasando cuando tiene tiempo libre y le cuenta un par de anécdotas que tiene del trabajo o cuando era un scout, ya sabes, ser esa figura que el hubiera deseado tener.

ya para cuando Hunter se da cuenta que el interés que tiene en Norma! lectora no es el mismo que tiene con, por ejemplo, sus compañeros de flyer dervy, y probablemente son ellos quienes le animan a ser mas abierto con ella.

si hablamos de relación hecha y derecha, es todo FLUFF.

Hunter trata de ayudar en la medida de lo posible a evitar que la maldición de lectora actue, ya sea consiguiendo campanas, ayudando a la tía susurros en sus investigaciones, trayendo remedios para mejorar la condición fisica de lectora y asi sea mas sana, etc.

si la maldición es en efecto CURABLE entonces Hunter alienta mucho a lectora a buscar dicha cura y hacerlo juntos, aun si ella se acostumbro a vivir con la maldición, a Hunter le haría tan TAN feliz ver a su pareja vivir tranquila y sin dolor por culpa de la maldición.

HUNTER DEJANDOLE A LECTORA USAR A FLAPJACK CUANDO TIENE UN MAL MOMENTO CON LA MALDICIÓN NO PUEDO---

si por otro lado la maldición no tiene cura como tal, entonces tratan de encontrar juntos alternativas para mantenerla dormida y que sea mas manejable, aparte de que si alguien intenta juzgar a lectora por su maldicion(EJEMEJEMBOSCAEJEMEJEM) Hunter o 1, les da La Mirada y se callan o 2, usa las viejas tácticas de miedo que utilizaban en el aquelarre del emperador.

Hunter estaria bastante angustiado por Lorna! lectora durante su tiempo en el reino humano, pero al mismo tiempo creo que haria notas mentales de cosas que a ella le hubiera gustado ver(incluso aprende varios de los remedios caseros de Camila para los resfriados y gripes que quiere probar en lectora).

Does anyone remember the show "Over The Garden Wall"? Anyone? Because I had an idea for an au that doesn't strictly follow the show's plot, but has some of the same places and essence.

Imagine that the veils between worlds was pierced, and into the Unknown came someone, a child/teen, who was there as the Heart... Someone who was kind, helpful, even to their enemies... They traversed the woods, the towns, meet the Witches, gained the favor of the Unkown, and even survived the Beasts... Yet one day, they disappeared...

Years later, a new person comes in through the pierced veil, wearing a mask that hides their face, wearinga cloak that flows behind them, and they are on a quest...

Yet the Unknown has changed, and may not be so friendly to wayward strangers...

Come Wayward Souls || The Beast x GN! Reader

PROLOGUE

"Come, wayward souls,

Who wander through the darkness,

There is a light for the lost and the meek,

Sorrow and fear are easily forgotten,

When you submit to the soil of the earth."

These were the verses that once echoed hauntingly throughout these now decrepit forests during the nightfall, an enchanting tune filled with vacant and unfulfilled promises, sugar-coated words sung so tantalizingly by a being that nobody dared to speak of. They did not know of the true name of this entity, but with quivering lips they simply called it by the only thing befitting such an unspeakable monster...

"The Beast".

Yet two of the last wayward souls, a pilgrim and a charming little boy with his slippery, croaking companion, who just as many unwary children before them embarked into the seemingly endless unknown brought with them a shimmer of hope, of life, and were guided through their journey by a single bluebird. It was not long before they stumbled across the mournful woodsman, who was entrapped in the silver threads of The Beast.

The Beast, clever and ceaselessly working behind the scenes, kept a watchful eye on the lost boys for many days and many nights. His pull on the woodsman's strings weakened, and it was not long before the true source of the Edelwood was realized... And for the first time, the woodsman refused to accept The Beast's bargains.

Grow, tiny seed,

You are gone to the trees,

"Give me my lantern." The deep, deceivingly soothing voice of The Beast bellowed from the void of the forest, hollowed milky eyes piercing through the glooming darkness.

"Your lantern...?" The pilgrim questioned, before the bluebird interjected.

"No way, we need this thing!"

Rise,

'Till your leaves fill the sky,

Contemplating for merely a moment, the pilgrim agreed,"Yeah, i'm keeping this! I have to get Greg home."

"Your brother is too weak to go home." The Beast stated firmly, raising his hands to emphasize his words,"He will soon become a part of my forest."

Clutching the lantern's handle tightly, the pilgrim kept his gaze firm on The Beast, outwardly he was determined, but on the inside he could feel the anxiety creeping in, slow like a snake stalks its prey,"I won't let that happen!"

Until your sights,

Fill the air in the night,

The Beast leaned down slightly, his glowing pearly orbs unblinkingly striking deep into the pilgrim's weary soul,"Well then, perhaps we better make a deal."

As the woodsman wailed weakly, limp on the unforgiving soil and barely conscious, the conversation continued,"Deal?" The pilgrim uttered, uncertain.

"I can put his spirit in the lantern. As long as the flame stays lit, he will live on inside." With a hand as black as the starless sky, The Beast extends it towards our pilgrim,"Take on the task of lantern bearer... Or watch your brother perish."

Lift your mighty limbs,

And give praise,

The pilgrim's gaze lowers to the lantern in his hand, a look of defeat crosses his expression as he allows a low sigh to cross his lips. He was willing to sacrifice anything for his dearest brother.

"Okay."

The bluebird tried to gain the pilgrim's attention, however her words were but muffled sounds, empty and devoid of meaning in that very moment. That was, until... The pilgrim came to a sudden realization. Snatching the lantern back before The Beast could hook his claws into him... His stare hardened.

To the fire...

"Wait. That's dumb." The pilgrim argued, taking a few steps away from the shadowy figure that towered menacingly above him.

Although unseen, a sickening sneer appeared on The Beast's expression,

"What?"

"That's dumb! I'm not just gonna wander around in the woods for the rest of my life." The pilgrim continued, keeping his gaze stern.

The Beast loomed closer, his usual deep, hauntingly calm voice turning into something more deadly... Menacing and filled with a promise of the most deadliest of torments. "I'm trying to help you."

Connecting the details, it took only a moment for the pilgrim to put the pieces together, and for The Beast's guise to bleed into a puddle across the cold earth beneath them,"You're not trying to help me. You just have some weird obsession with keeping this lantern lit. It's almost like... Your soul is in this lantern."

Dramatically, the air shifts, becoming deathly cold and suffocating as The Beast let's out an ear-splitting growl that shakes the trees around them with an earth shattering force. His body violently contorts in a mixture of foul, disgustingly unfathomable horrors and the pilgrim is subjected to the whims of his darkness as the light that illuminates from the lantern dissipates abruptly.

A look of terror crosses the poor pilgrim's face, as The Beast's form grows higher and higher, his now distorted voice scathing against his ears like hot coals,"Are you ready to see true darkness?"

Shaking with horror, and voice wavering, the pilgrim does not back down,"A-Are you...?" He cleared his voice, before standing his ground more firmly. He narrows his eyes, pulling the glass open on the lantern,"Are you?" With a deep inhale, he readies to blow out the lantern's intense flame.

Suddenly, The Beast retracts,"Don't...! Don't!" The desperation was clear, and it was abundantly obvious our pilgrim uncovered the harsh truth. The Beast was a liar, a deceiver, and the woodsman was merely a tool to prolong his inevitable end. With a scoff, the pilgrim handed the woodsman the lantern to deal with The Beast on his own. For the pilgrim cared for one thing and one thing only right now: His brother.

Breaking his brother free from the branches of the Edelwood, it was now merely the woodsman and The Beast.

The Beast attempted to ensnare the woodsman into his strings once more, but they were all but cut off, irreparable. No longer would the woodsman be his puppet and him the puppeteer, and in a fit of anguish and seething rage, the woodsman blew out the flame forevermore so that The Beast could never come to harm anyone ever again. He destroyed the lantern and threw it down a river, where it sunk to its depths and was swept away by the currents to never be seen. To never return.

All the wayward souls were finally free, the horrors of The Beast lost within time and soon to be long forgotten.

... Or at least, that was how it should have been.
