I may very well be swinging a bat at a hornet's nest, but I find it very interesting that the crowd that (rightfully) says "Read another book" to Harry Potter fans among the J.K. Rowling bullshit has a not-insignificant overlap with the crowd that has also only read one book (and that book is Whipping Girl).

#and they don't even read it particularly well for how much they insist that everybody reads it #the premise is that transphobia is rooted in sexism. more specifically misogyny #you would think that that the reader would make the logical connection and say 'hey this group of men who grew up as women also experience #sexism and more specifically misogyny due to having been forced to grow up as women'#and instead the prevailing conclusion is 'trans men have male privilege and are oppressing their fellow trans people -#- by virtue of being men'#or bullshit like 'trans men really are the men of the trans community' when we dare to speak on issues that are specific to our section of #the community and the overlap between FTM oppression and overall societal misogyny. the mind boggles #in order to have male privilege you first have to be seen as a man by society at large. and that does not apply to trans men nor to trans -#women. they see trans men as delusional little girls and trans women as whatever slur they can think of. but not as men usually #we are supposed to be playing for the same team and yet some of you are tackling your teammates on the field for no reason other than -#wanting a scapegoat #'read Whipping Girl 🙄' I did. years ago now. but did YOU?#to those i'm discussing: feel free to call me a transandrobro or a theyfab or whatever. Insane over the awakening trio again. We fought a war together, saved each other multiple times, and I know for a fact I can trust you with my life. We have never learned to socialize normally so we can't interact in a normal environment for five seconds without dunking on each other. I would follow you through time and space and abandon everything with you. You are the living reminder of every awful thing that have ever happened to me. Our traumas make us hurt each other at every turn. We're the only ones who know what lead to each other becoming Like That. Our jobs are barely in the same area and we don't even hang out that much outside of necessities. You are all I have left. I cannot fucking understand you. why are my upstairs neighbors always somehow awake and moving around furniture at 3am

#i dont even mind it tbh bcuz i dont wake up easily and im usually awake at 3am but those jokes about upstairs neighbors #were NOT lying idk why houses are built so that like every single sound is amplified x1000 #and then my other neighbors (there are like five total units in the house. i think. maybe four) are always doing laundry or vacuuming #at like 6am on the dot and their laundry area is connected to our kitchen area so its like GIRL WHY DO YOU ALWAYS DO LAUNDRY AT THESE HOURS #its literally always at 9pm or 5am or midnight #i dont even care Btw once again noise does not bother me. i spent most of my teenage years listening to my younger brother jump around #and scream at his friends on discord while playing video games at like 4am and grew up with three siblings #i dont care about background noise its just fascinating hearing their lives going on in the background everyday #txt

#i was about to sleep when i came across the pgc campus rape case reel which ofc yeah that's my feed and now i have to sit with the fact that #not only they did not get justice but many students were brutally beaten up and shot at while protesting ++ they denied everything because #there were suspicions of the ceo of institute being involved #i say the world is a scary for women always has been and won't change overnight but us south asian countries really excel in oppressing our #women girls specially young girls it was bangladesh first then the moumita case here in bengal (not like there weren't other disgusting and #horrifying rape cases & aren't still going on) but the brutality of these just keeps on upping each other #why did i have look into it now it sounds so selfish but atleast being ignorant is better than feeling all this helplessness & dread #i wish i had the 'oh i don't look at news' kind of attitude sometimes ngl because jesus it's just bad after worse after worse #but then i won't be able to live with myself i never had that dumb naive attitude towards world i grew up hearing about nirbhaya #i was terrified of men & our government & all the powerful people who get away with everything since i remember being able to walk to school #i was supposed to be sleeping rn sigh #tw rape

@the-most-pathetic-edge-marquis I was thinking of your tags about María’s outfit in my art and thought I’d share the inspiration behind it.❤️

In case anyone else was wondering where I got the idea for the outfit I drew for María. It was inspired by the dresses commonly worn in Baile folklórico. María loves dance and she has definitely attended many of the “Ballet Folklórico de México” ensemble concerts.

Because I have the hc that she makes her own clothes, often using old techniques (she learned from the best lol) to stay grounded and close to her culture. I also hc that she made that outfit, inspired by the pretty dresses she’s seen in dance but she gives her outfits a more ‘modern’ twist and added her own sense of style to it. She’s a hot girl, would you expect anything less?
