You know, I feel like an underrated detail about Mairon is that he's not just very pretty and all that, but should also be quite strong physically.

Sure, Ainur can make themselves a big and strong as they want pretty much and you don't have to be a mountain of muscle to be a smith, but Mairon has been doing this for literal ages while also participating in big construction projects, wrangling werewolves, dragons, Melkor and other monsters and occasionally fighting.

Now imagine some drunk idiot Ar-Pharazôn seeing Mairon at a bar or party and deciding to grab a fistful of twink ass, only to be punched in the face with the flaming fist of a demigod who's been doing physical labor for ages and has the arms and shoulders to match

sage green to be loved by you is soft and sweet. your heart is wide open, and it's easy to get lost in all the hope that's in there. maybe you haven't had the easiest go of it in life, but you love like you have nothing left to lose.

Okay I'm going to actually start making these short unless tempted otherwise.

Tom truly amazes himself with his own brilliance sometimes. Two monsters one stone. Utter perfection.

His useful, beloved monster remains safe. And his other monster? The threat to everything he is, everything he stands for? Sent away, where he can never tempt him again, allowing all those inconvenient little emotions to remain safely stowed away in a chamber of their own.

Buried in the centre of that chamber is the raw hurt in his lover's eyes as he watched them take him away.
