Laundry in Kuraigana (x f!reader)
Masterlist
Tumblr media
Pairing: Dracule Mihawk x f!reader Summary: Living in Kuraigana comes with its own set of rules, and with a master as inflexible as Mihawk, they must be strictly adhered to. Frustrated by his lack of attention, you craft a plan to exact revenge through household chores. Word count: 600
Circumstances have brought you to call Kuraigana your home. And it appears you'll be staying there for quite some time until the situation you've found yourself in is resolved.
It's been three months since you arrived and during this time, Mihawk has set up rules and a household routine, creating a semblance of family life with his apprentice swordsman, the ghost girl, and yourself.
Mihawk doesn't employ domestic staff in the castle, it would compromise his privacy, tranquility and security (already quite compromised considering the castle's new occupants). Therefore, you must organize yourselves very strictly following a schedule of tasks that he has assigned to each of you.
Everything must be neat and tidy, nothing can be left for the next day, and unnecessary items must be discarded to avoid clutter.
Like everyone else, he must also contribute to maintaining the castle: the garden, the orchard, meal planning, cleaning the rooms, washing the dishes and cutlery... and doing the laundry.
Laundry is done three times a week. Once with black clothes, another with colored clothes, and another with white and light-colored clothes. Mihawk will not tolerate, under any circumstances, mixing colors or washing delicate fabrics like silk in a non-gentle cycle. Everything must be carefully planned and each week it's someone's turn, expected to separate the clothes by color, select the appropriate wash cycle, hang the clothes, and fold them, dividing them into four different piles, one for each owner. Each person will collect their own pile, clean and dry.
A few weeks after arriving at Kuraigana, you realized that you were starting to feel attracted to the castle's master. His fierce appearance and strength in combat contrasted with the delicacy and perfection with which he organized something as mundane as household chores.
Without daring to confess your attraction, you have been trying to be subtle, taking small steps like lightly brushing fingers when passing the salt, trying to hold his gaze for a few seconds longer than usual when you spoke, or making comments that you thought he might find amusing or intellectual. Nothing seems to work, always so serious, so stoic, completely focused on whatever task he was doing. It is hard to get his attention. Very hard.
For this reason, you begin to feel frustrated. Is this man simply too difficult? Or are you not attractive enough? In any case, this frustration turns into anger... until you devise a plan to teach him a lesson and get revenge.
Knowing that it is his turn to do the laundry this week, you select your most scandalous and provocative lingerie to place in the laundry basket.
And, to be honest, you have quite a collection.
So, you choose shameless bras of several colors and transparencies, daring black stockings and garters, suggestive thongs, and exciting lace bodysuits. If this man isn't willing to pay attention to you, he will realize what he could have had and didn't. The opportunity he missed.
Throughout the week, you watch as your clothes appear hanging in the sun in the garden, alongside those of Mihawk, Zoro, and Perona. Thus, next to a pair of training pants, a simple white shirt and some socks, there is a sultry red lace bodysuit with transparencies.
As your clothes dry, they appear in your pile carefully folded, smelling clean and ready for you to pick up.
"Don't you think Mihawk is more grumpy than usual?" Perona asks one night, watching as Mihawk tries to concentrate on reading a newspaper, with a furrowed brow.
"Grumpy and... distracted?" Zoro adds, also observing him from afar.
"Yeah? I wonder why," you smile.

1. Zoo hails birth of 'one of world's rarest animals'
Tumblr media
“[Jasper] the Persian onager was born to mum Azita after a year-long pregnancy. […] Conservationists at the zoo said there are less than 600 surviving wild onagers[, … which] only survive in two small, protected areas in Iran, a Chester Zoo spokesman said. […] Mike Jordan, animal and plant director at Chester Zoo, […] said Jasper is "doing very well" and added that "mum Azita is doing a fantastic job of nurturing and bonding with her new charge". "He’s full of energy and enjoys playfully kicking up sand as he races around his habitat", Mr Jordan added.”
2. Charity creates 50 community orchards in city
Tumblr media
“Community orchards are returning to Birmingham, with the aim of teaching people how to grow their own food and be part of the solution to climate change. […] Once established, the long-term aim is to distribute the produce to those most in need, but local people are also invited to pick the odd bit of fruit. […] By planting trees and plants and encouraging biodiversity back to these areas the charity is also doing its bit to help climate change. They even use locally sourced wood chip which helps to put carbon back into the soil. […T]he hope is that these edible landscapes can also be enjoyed by local people for years to come.”
3. Farmer-led badger vaccination could revolutionize mission to tackle bovine TB
Tumblr media
“[… T]he results of a four-year pilot badger vaccination program co-managed between farmers, scientists, and conservationists […] show the percentage of badgers testing positive for bovine tuberculosis (bTB) in the study area dropped from 16% to 0%[….] While most bTB incidents in cattle are caused by transmission between herds, transmission from wild badgers plays a role in the persistence of the disease. […] Blood sampling showed that the proportion of badgers with bTB fell even though overall badger numbers remained high[….]”
4. Every Colorado Anti-Trans Ballot Initiative Fails To Collect Enough Signatures
Tumblr media
“Anti-transgender politics are becoming increasingly unpopular in polls. […] A recent LA Times/NORC poll found that 77% of voters believe elected officials use transgender debates to divert attention from more pressing issues. The poll also showed significant opposition to forced outing policies. […] A Gallup poll published in June revealed that while Americans have mixed views on the morality of transitioning, the majority oppose bans on gender-affirming care for trans youth. […] “The fact that they could not get enough signatures, barely half, to be placed on the ballot shows they lack support from everyday voters.”
5. In a fight to save a rare bird, Indigenous communities in Guyana are winning
Tumblr media
“The partnership [between Indigenous communities and Smithsonian researchers] sparked a decades-long community-led conservation movement that has protected the red siskin and helped locals reconnect with nature. [… T]he South Rupununi Conservation Society […] established one of the country’s first conservation zones to protect the species, covering 75,000 hectares (185,000 acres) of Indigenous land. […] To plant the seeds of conservation, they’ve implemented an after-school program in more than 16 communities, [introducing children] to ecological research and surveying, and also [teaching] about Indigenous culture and tradition, including fire management skills.”
6. North Adams hospital gets federal designation which pays for health care in rural areas
Tumblr media
“[The hospital] received a federal designation on Wednesday that is key to its long-term financial stability. […] The designation pays for staffing regardless of the number of patients[… and] “works to resolve stark inequities in rural and underserved communities as it relates to our nation’s health system."”
7. Andrea Vidaurre: Leading the clean transportation revolution
“Thanks to Vidaurre’s relentless advocacy and strong community support, these regulations introduced the first national standards for train emissions and set a groundbreaking goal for all freight trucks to be zero-emission by 2036. This initiative promises cleaner air for Californians and paves the way for a zero-emission vehicle future across the country. Studies predict these measures will prevent thousands of respiratory illnesses and save countless lives in the coming decades.”
8. Boston announces a new climate resilience office
Tumblr media
“Through its Climate Ready Boston initiative, the city has worked to […] design creative adaptation plans with community input[, …] includ[ing] everything from redesigning waterfront parks and planting more trees, to modernizing the city’s underground sewer system[….] The Office of Climate Resilience will be in charge of coordinating work across city departments and with community groups[….]”
9. Combining Green Thumbs and Sustainable Fashion in a Swap Event
Tumblr media
“This unique plant and clothing swap event in NSW is championing both environmental and fashion sustainability through native plants and preloved clothing. […] To participate in the plant swap, attendees brought their environmental weeds in a bag to the Council stall and exchanged them for free native plants. […] The event sparked valuable community conversations about the benefits of plant and clothes swaps, the impact of textile waste[, …] support a circular economy and combine a love for nature with practical, eco-friendly practices.”
10. Growing Green Spaces to Protect the Endangered Regent Parrot
Tumblr media
“On Schools Tree Day, celebrated on 26 July, students from a local NSW school planted trees and shrubs to create crucial forage habitat for the endangered Regent Parrot, enhancing local biodiversity. […] Approximately 50 [… plants of] native species were chosen for their ecological benefits, helping to attract native birds, bees and butterflies while providing essential habitat and food. […] They [also] raise awareness about the regent parrot, encourage conservation efforts and emphasise the importance of protecting local wildlife. Additionally, conserving [the regent parrot] supports the health of their ecosystem by helping with in [sic] seed dispersal and maintaining plant diversity.”

Hey all!
First off, I want to disclose with full transparency that I’ve had a pretty severe case of “long Covid” for the better part of a month with a co-morbid case of bronchitis and a general throat infection. This put a lot of things out of whack and I do apologize. I got hit with the "tri-power beam."
Without getting into the weeds on details, I had three scary hospital visits and a bedbound holidays, which greatly impacted my ability to work with the team and did set us back. I’ve since mostly recovered, but I still have a nasty cough, a general wheeze, and cannot use my full voice. I believe this may unfortunately end up impacting my breathing for the rest of my life, but hey I'm still kicking!
Please stay safe, sanitary, and wear protection around other people.
Full disclosure! This also impacted my ability to address this earlier, and to give updates, but after recovering I took some time to speak with people and conduct research.
After speaking with experts, we’ve decided that our best course of action is to refund all previous raffle tickets and instead conduct the contest as a free sweepstakes!
There seemed to be conflicting information on our best steps forward, and at times we had experts who gave us conflicting advice or weren't certain, so we decided it was best to not base any further action on uncertain information.
What does that mean for you? If you previously purchased a ticket, you will be refunded within 24 hours. If anyone attempts to purchase tickets, they will immediately be refunded and given a note to the sweepstakes.
Overall, we do apologize for this flip which we are at fault for. My sickness in general made it more difficult to tend to these things earlier and I realize that is quite inconvenient. Thank you so much for your patience.
Onto the re-host!

Can I Still Financially Support the Project?
We’ve gotten this question a few times, and for now simply donating to our PayPal and telling your friends about us is the best way to support. We’ll look into support bundles in the future!
Unrelated Check In
Lastly, I want to fill in on where we are with Longhairs!
Unfortunately, I got sick basically right before the final sprint to get them to the creator. Our goal now is to have them this month as we make up for the lost time, but once again I do apologize. It is frustrating beyond belief that this happened in the middle of work!
We’re doing our best to catch up now. I got put really out of commission and it's quite regrettable for a small team. But we're bouncing back!
This next official check in, we'll be discussing dedicated alpha and our plans for the year. Lots of exciting things as we go into this new year!
Thank you!

As a former underbite haver, I feel a bit of solidarity towards Dylan. It wasn’t anything severe like Kelly Fleming (no offense to her RIP), but sometimes I see myself in his face. I have grown quite fond of him, though there are no sexual urges or desires. He comes to me as a long-lost friend with whom I once picked apples with in Papa's orchard.

honestly, i interpret lily's "give me $600 to stop using orchard or shut up" not about using the money to legally change her name back to peet, but more of a "if you care so much about the name i use, pay me to stop"
still think shes a scumbag for using the last name of the women she abused and faked cancer, dont get me wrong
why would we pay her to stop using her name when we can call her out for the creep that she is for it for free? we can make memes around it, we can have jokes, we can use it to point out her hypocrisy when she has any reaction to Courtney using the name Orchard. that's a lot more fun. free fun too, the best kind there is. if she wants us to stop calling her a creep over it... well, she can't really pay me, but she can offer. at least that could be more free amusement.

Apple Day
Apple Day is mainly celebrated in the United Kingdom, where it was started. Common Ground, a group dedicated to building strong communities, strengthening local distinctiveness, and connecting people with nature and each other, held the first Apple Day in 1990, at Covent Garden in London, England. Their goal was to create an autumn holiday that would not only be celebrated in London, but also in other cities, villages, parishes, markets, and even orchards. They wanted to demonstrate the richness and diversity of apples, but also the diversity of landscape, ecology, and culture as a whole.
Many different activities have taken place on the day. First and foremost has been the buying, tasting, and eating of apples. Other activities have included juicing, pruning, grafting, and identifying apples, and games, songs, and poetry about apples. In England, many groups such as museums, shops, restaurants, horticultural societies, Wildlife Trusts, National Trust properties, and schools organize activities for the day. By the second year of Apple Day, there were over 60 events. There were over 300 events in 1997, and 600 by the new millennium. Not all "apple days" are held on October 21. Some groups hold these celebrations on other days of the month.
Through the day's success, it has not only demonstrated the importance of the apple but the importance of local celebrations as well. The day has germinated local pride and grown interest in local distinctiveness. Apple Day has also led to an interest in raising awareness for the origins of food and to encouraging healthy eating.
The apple tree is a deciduous tree from the rose family and is cultivated around the world as a fruit tree. It originated in Central Asia; its ancestor is the malus sieversii, which still grows today. Apple trees grew for thousands of years in Asia, as well as in Europe—the starting place of Apple Day—before being brought to North America by European colonists in the seventeenth century. They are possibly the oldest tree to have been cultivated. The only apples native to North America are crab apples. Reverend William Braxton of Boston planted the first apple orchard on the North American continent in 1625. Apples were cultivated on colonial farms and spread along Native American trade routes. Johnny Appleseed introduced apple trees to the western frontier. Today apple trees are prominent in Eastern Washington, where apples are their leading product, and more apples are grown there than any other state.
If grown by seed in the wild, an apple tree can tower up to 30 feet, but they are generally 6-15 feet in height when cultivated. The height of the cultivars depends on how they were grafted onto rootstocks. There are over 7,500 cultivars of apples, which are grown for various purposes such as eating raw, cooking, and cider making. Apple tree flowers blossom in the spring, and the leaves bud at this time as well. Flowers cluster in groups of four to six and the center flower is called the "king bloom." It opens first and can grow into larger fruit than the other flowers. The fruit is ready to pick by late summer or fall.
How to Observe Apple Day
The best way to celebrate the day may be to attend an Apple Day event, most of which take place in England. You could visit Covent Garden in London, where the first Apple Day was held. One of the other best ways to celebrate the day may be to try as many different varieties of fresh apples as you can find, identifying them, and noting the differences and qualities each has.
Besides eating fresh apples, you could celebrate by eating apples in some of their many other forms as well. Have some cider or apple juice; treat your sweet tooth to apple dumplings, apple pie, apple cake, or a caramel apple; and find a use for apple cider vinegar. There are so many ways you could enjoy apples. Not only could you eat them, but you could plant an apple tree. Plant a cutting, or get a tree from a nursery.
As the heart of the day is about finding ways to connect with others and nature in your own community, the day can even be celebrated without apples. You could spend the day at any sort of community event, or by doing something to improve the place you call home. You could support small local businesses, join the committee for an annual festival, or work with others to clean up parks and waterfronts.

Do 1975 r. wspólnie z żoną Marią uprawiali pół hektara ziemi. Do najbardziej interesujących prac Jana Bernasiewicza należą: „Kapliczka na kasztanie”, „Pomnik poległych Żołnierzy Polskich w walce 1939-45 r.”, „Kopernik”, „Herody”, „Husarz”, „Mikołaj Rej”.
Artysta tworzył przede wszystkim w drewnie, rzadziej w kamieniu. Dłutem nadawał rzeźbionym twarzom indywidualne rysy, dolną część kłody zostawiał zazwyczaj nieobrobioną, z jej krzywiznami i sękami. W 1979 r. przyjęto go do Stowarzyszenia Twórców Ludowych, otrzymał również prestiżową nagrodę artystyczną im. Jana Pocka, a w 1980 r. nagrodę miesięcznika „Przemiany”. Na krótko przed śmiercią artysta przekazał cały swój dorobek Muzeum Wsi Kieleckiej.

In 1991, an exhibition of Jan Bernasiewicz's sculptures was arranged in the homestead, entitled: „Save from oblivion. Jan Bernasiewicz, creator of the Sculpture Garden”. There are over 600 sculptures, numerous photographs depicting master Jan, as well as memorabilia that remained after him.
Jan Bernasiewicz was born on June 1, 1908, died on November 24, 1984. He lived and worked in the village of Jaworznia-Gniewce in today's commune of Piekoszów, 15 kilometers from Kielce. Until 1975, together with his wife Maria, they cultivated half a hectare of land. His idea of preserving the cultural heritage for future generations found expression in the museum of sculptures in the orchard, invented by the artist, which he called the "Small Museum in Jaworznia". He created them for 19 years (1966-1984). The most interesting works by Jan Bernasiewicz include: „Chestnut shrine” „Monument to the fallen Polish Soldiers in the fight of 1939-45”, „Copernicus”, „Herody”, „Hussar”, „Mikołaj Rej”.
The artist created mainly in wood, less often in stone. He chiseled the carved faces with individual features, usually leaving the lower part of the log unprocessed, with its curves and knots. In 1979, he was admitted to the Association of Folk Artists, he also received the prestigious artistic award of Jan Pock, and in 1980 the prize of the monthly „Przemiany”. Shortly before his death, the artist donated all his achievements to the Museum of the Kielce Countryside.

Four Hours in Trucks
The men are boarded into trucks and their trip to and from the ranch might take all of four hours. There they put in a nine-hour day receiving wages from 17 to 25 cents an hour for the time actually spent in the fields. Laborers admit that the farmer has no direct contact with the men in such a set-up, as the work is handled through labor contractors.
(Next: Resettlement Camps for Transitory Workers.)
Charges that farm maintained camps were in the same condition as those of the squatters were made by Mr. Brumm, who charged the State Division of Immigrants and Housing "had failed to establish any kind of system of adequate housing facilities. The commission apparently prefers to act only in an advisory capacity rather than attempt strict regulations." He said. Supporting this contention he quoted a statement from Earnest C. Hehr, a director of the Associated Farmers:
"Due to the general slump in fruit prices for many past years, the matter of proper housing has been greatly neglected. The fact has been recognized by the Department of Immigrants and Housing and they have purposely been very lenient. Housing conditions in most orchard areas are in need of improvement or correction."
Whether immigrant workers 'squat' or pay rent cabins on a ranch, problems are the same. Families are crowded into limited quarters: water, toilet facilities are either insanitary or dangerously inadequate; garbage disposal is often neglected.
606 in One Camp
Following the crops through the state, Irving Moore observed that many of the squatter camps were established on the edge of irrigation ditches. The heavily silted water was used for bathing, drinking and laundry work alike. The water problem proved even more acute in the Imperial Valley where workers had to buy water from service stations, occasionally involving long drives in their dilapidated autos to and from their camps.
County camps, notably the one at Shatter, Kern County, offer few comforts to the transit worker as some 600 people camp out in the sandy fields without bathing or washing facilities, it was reported. No shade is theirs as they trudge across the barren fields to the single well.
Near larger valley towns the whole issue of camp facilities is deftly side-stepped by the system of hiring the men by day, driving them out to the fields and returning with them at nightfall.

These things are dogshit btw. They might work okay-ish in the southeast US or maybe somewhere tropical- somewhere warm with frequent summer rain and a huuuge nectar season. (Manufacturer appears to be out of Australia). But for the rest of us the honey definitely won't "flow" like that. Plus I'm not disturbing the bees really much more to harvest honey than I already was by inspecting. Like I hate that people think that you just won't have to maintain your bees lmfao?. Do people think you only open a hive and/or pull frames to harvest? My guy there are years you don't get to pull honey at all and guess what you still gotta be in there anyways. Is your queen alive? Is her laying pattern consistent or spotty? Do you have brood at all? Are they raising a new queen to replace her (or possibly swarm?)Are they making drones? Do you have a highly contagious disease like American foulbrood? High loads of a parasite like varroa that can spread to native pollinators? Beekeeping is always about chasing this balance of checking on them often enough to know whats going on and disturbing them as little as possible.
Beekeeping is not a cheap hobby and I don't recommend getting into it if you want to make money- industrial beekeepers who make money renting bees out to orchards and shipping them all over north America is a whole other rant I have locked and loaded But that aside these things are definitely not cheaper lol They tend to run $600-$1000 Whereas comparable pre-assembled (and no one buys pre assembled let's be real) hives from other retailers run mostly $200-$350 $400 if you want get real fancy.
That's before getting into the inside of these being entirely plastic. Which besides the whole microplastics thing - bees actually really don't like to build on plastic at all. Plastic comb isn't new and you can convince them to do it by covering it in a good layer of wax but iirc these are unwaxed and will tear apart any wax the bees make on it anyway when the comb unlocks.
Its a neat idea but it hasn't worked for 90% of the folks I've spoken to. For the 10% It sounds great and I'm glad it works for them! Idk these things just went super viral and the number of people who storm into our beekeepers association meetings upset and jaded because they dropped 1grand and it doesn't work and the bees don't even want to stay. Be warned and ask around locally to see if theyre feasible in your area

"A REPORT ON QUALITATIVE ANALYSIS OF SECONDARY METABOLITES"
ABSTRACT: The present study was conducted at the plant biotechnology laboratory in S. Thangapazham Agricultural College, Vasudevanallur, Tenkasi District by the Department of Crop Improvement. The aim of this study wasto analyze 25 plant species with potential medicinal values based on traditional knowledge for presence of secondary metabolites. We analyzed and screened the presence of secondary metabolites in most grown weed crops in our region. The weed crops that used to analyze were Phyllanthus niruri, Andrographis paniculata, Centratherum punctatum, Andrographis paniculate, Euphorbia heterophylla, Calotropis procera, Cyperus rotundus, Acmella oleracea, Echinochloa colona, Lantana camara, Tridax procumbens, Chloris barbata. From this, we concluded that these weeds can be used for the medicinal purposes.
KEYWORDS: Secondary metabolites, Medicinal plants, Qualitative analysis
INTRODUCTION Medicinal Plants and secondary metabolites A Medicinal Plant is any plant which, in one or more of its organs, contains substances that can be used for therapeutic purposes or which are precursors for the synthesis of useful drugs. The term “Medicinal Plants” includes various types of plants used in herbalism. According to WHO, around 21,000 plant species have the potential for being used as medicinal plant. More than 30% of the entire plant species, at one time or other were used for medicinal purposes.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: The present research work was undertaken with the aim of qualitative analysis of secondary metabolites for 25 plant samples using aqueous and alcoholic extractions, and establishing tissue culture in five selected plant species among the 25 species. The experiments of the present studies were carried out at the plant biotechnology laboratory at S. Thangapazham Agricultural College, Vasudevanallur. Details of materials and methods used were as follows.
Plant samples: Totally 25 plant samples were selected from mini-orchard medicinal garden, some from Nursery garden and some of the weeds from fields of S.Thangapazham Agricultural College Campus.
Aqueous extraction of plant sample: Weight of fresh leaves were taken and washed thoroughly and left for drying. Later after complete drying. Dried samples were completely dried in incubator at 60˚c for 8 hours and then the dried leaves were made into fine powder in mechanical grinder, powdered leaf sample of plant taken into a butter paper cover (Kumari and Bhatnagar 2016). And some modification are done from the known procedure after several trials, For 5g of sample 50ml of distilled water added in the ratio of 1:10.Boil it under 600 c for 30 minutes for secondary metabolite content in the leaf powder dissolve into the aqueous, then filtrate through whattman no.1 filter paper to getting clear extract. After filtering, the extracts were centrifuge at 2500 rpm for 15 minutes and store it in sterile bottle at 50 c for further use. Ethanolic extraction of plant sample: 250 g of fresh leaves were taken washed thoroughly and transferred into a round bottomed flask and it was added 500ml of ethanol and 500 ml of distilled water and was preserved carefully until 10 days, the extraction was taken and was filtered using whattman filter paper and feature pure sample was obtained using the Soxhlet apparatus (Das 2016). And modification taken are, For 10g of air dried powder macerated with 100 ml of ethanol, kept in the shaker for 72 hours, then kept at reduced pressure concentrated to 100 ml, Redissolve with alcohol and store it for further use.
Qualitative analysis of secondary metabolites: Alkaloids (Stochmal et al., 2022): 1ml of 1% HCl was added to 3 ml of extract in a test tube and was treated with few drops of Meyer’s reagent. If the creamy white precipitation occur which indicate the presence of alkaloid. (Mayer’s reagent: Freshly prepared by dissolving a mixture of mercuric chloride (1.36 g) and of potassium iodide (5.00 g) in water (100.0 ml).
Saponins (Kumari and Bhatnagar 2016): 5 ml of extract was shaken vigorously to obtain a stable persistent froth. The frothing was then mixed with 3 drops of olive oil and formation of emulsion which indicated the presence of saponins.
Flavonoids (Kumari and Bhatnagar 2016): A few drops of 1% NH3 solution was added to the extract in a test tubes. If a yellow coloration was noticed for presence of flavonoids.
Tannins (Kumari and Bhatnagar 2016): To 0.5 ml of extract solution, 1 ml of distilled water and 1 to 2 drops of ferric chloride solution were added. If the extract color change into bluish black or brownish green indicates presence of tannins.
Glycosides (Kumari and Bhatnagar 2016): 10 ml of 50% H2SO4 was added to 1 ml of extract in a boiling tube. The mixture was heated in a boiling water for 5 minutes. 10 ml of Fehling’s solution( 5 ml of each solution A&B) was added and boiled. Formation of brick red precipitation indicates the presence of glycosides.
Phenols (Kumari and Bhatnagar 2016): 3-4 drops of 1% ferric chloride was added to extract. If the extract color change into bluish black indication of phenols.
Steroids (Kumari and Bhatnagar 2016): Add 1 ml of crude extract with 2ml of chloroform. Add few drops of conc. H2SO4. Presence of red color upper layer indicate the presence of steroids.
Terpenoids (Kumari and Bhatnagar 2016): 5 ml of extract was mixed with 2 ml of CHCl3 in a test tube. 3 ml of conc. H2SO4 was carefully added to the mixture to form a layer. If the formation of interface with a reddish brown coloration for the presence of terpenoids.

CONCLUSION We analyzed and screened the presence of secondary metabolites in most grown weed crops in our region. The weed crops that used to analyze were Phyllanthus niruri, Andrographis paniculata, Centratherum punctatum, Andrographis paniculate, Euphorbia heterophylla, Calotropis procera, Cyperus rotundus, Acmella oleracea, Echinochloa colona, Lantana camara, Tridax procumbens, Chloris barbata.
We got positive results for all the tests like Alkaloids, Terpenoids, Saponins, Flavonoids, Tannins, Glycosides, Phenols and steroids in the plant species such as Cissus quadrangularis, Calotropis procera, Cyperus rotundus, Acmella oleracea, Ocimum sanctum in aqueous extract. From this, we concluded that these weeds can be used for the medicinal purposes.

October 19,2024
It’ll be tomorrow in 20 minutes.
Tomorrow is the watch party.
I have lost nothing and have in fact gained weight since October started.
Starting 442 hr Liquid fast again.
Tomorrow just worried about staying under 400 cal that means have a monster before we go shop around alongside lemon water and saving my calories for two angry orchard ciders to get me through the social ordeal and meeting three new people.
So I want to castle cause I’m not thin, but this just means I can lose weight so that next time they see me they can comment like they do when friends aren’t around and bring up concern for my weight. Once it’s dramatic enough. I’m getting the ball rolling by not having stew or mash potatoes. Food is the enemy and my two ciders will keep me full enough. I wish my boyfriend was coming with me. He makes me feel better about being short. I work on the morning but it’s putting away books so should be fine… I’m missing my Dr appointment… so I’ll need to call after work to get it set up again…
All that is complicated tho cause my work days vary. but don’t come out til Friday.. but I want to call and schedule… I’ll just do it for after… god no.. I’ll ask her what morning is best for her and try it for then BUT ANYWAY tomorrow night hopefully we get home like 11 so I can just head to bed… or I can leave early to go sleep or at least get settled and someone can drive her home…
I’ll look right soon.
4 days of work coming up and walking one of the days with a coworker at the park soo extra steps is good. Maybe I’ll do 3 important things a day and they don’t even have to be that wild… but one at the least. I have 12 days til October ends.. let’s assume my shit averages out to be 350.
I could be doing: 112.6 ( assume the scale is saying like like 116 and I wanna die cause I’m short af
-5.8
I could be 106.8 Nov 1
I will be.
Let’s say my average for all 30 days of November is 600:
-12
I would be about 94.8
I’ll take that in a heart beat. It’s just sticking to all of these limits and being thankful and smart about every calorie I do get to intake.
I’ll show them.
I’ll look how I want.
