This is an idea of composition made up of Ody's bow and the flowers that show up in the Odyssey : i was going to mainly use Anticlea elegans, Galanthus nivalis(moly) and Olea europea (olive). ( Anticlea, Circe and Penelope, they were the ones that helped him ) , the idea was that of a bow with sprouting plants, a big olive surronded of Anticlea and Moly closer to the viewer; but the middle was going to ended up bare and it reminded of a pond so I added Lotus (Nelumbo nucifera).
This is the scketch i came up with:D and the final drawing it's bound to change from this.
The references are from Pinterest/Google
Tumblr media
I May use the idea before this but made it with perspective from the bottom to the top, with a huge olive tree in the middle flanked by Anticleas and Molly closer

It's getting tough and I think the first picture captures best the felling of what i try to do, what do you think?

Clarence explores a project in Western Sydney providing a crucial corridor for native plants and wildlife.
Clarence is in the Western Sydney Parkland, Australia’s largest urban park, which covers 5,000ha of facilities, attractions and bushland, all set aside for public use alongside some of Sydney’s biggest new developments.
It’s quite leafy now but in the 1950s the area was all bare paddocks.
Environment Manager David Kirkland explains how the open spaces are being planned.
In some areas, where a lot of superphosphates had been used and there were lots of weeds, the topsoil was stripped back to remove the chemicals and weed seeds, then it was reseed with native grasses and wildflowers.
The plan is to recreate the original ecology of the Cumberland Plains, much of which has been mostly lost as Sydney has expanded. They cover 1400ha now and are aiming for 2,000ha.
“The other year alone, I planted up well over 60,000 trees,” David says.
Beyond recreational activities, it's also the green lungs of the area, helping to cool the West in the heat of the summer months and reduce heat island effect.
There is even a patch of dry rainforest in a gully where it is protected from sun and wind. David aims to recreate this habitat in other gullies.
One of the biggest threats David and his team face is invasive species. African olive (Olea europea subsp. cuspidata) is a major problem, producing 20,000 seeds per plant per year, all perfect sized for birds to eat and drop, forming a dense monoculture that is hard to eradicate.
However some areas have been cleared, with a lot of effort, proving it can be done – eventually!
Bringing back cultural burns involving by local community is a goal for the team.
About 1500 ha of bushland has been restored, and biobanking local species for conservation is another key goal.
About 20ha is set aside to focus on diversity and habitat, and already some plant species are reappearing and local fauna returning.
Future plans include creating wildlife corridors under the adjacent freeway to link it to other corridors.

Botanical name: Olea europaea
Common name: Olive tree
Name identifiers; Olea meaning olive, europaea meaning European
A stunning evergreen tree with historical ties to the Mediterranean region, opposite lanceolate leaves with a leathery feel topped with deep green and bottomed with silver shades. Axillary inflorescence in clustered racemes, blooming small white clusters in late spring or even early summer. The trees iconic fruit (the olive) is formed as a drupe after this although fruit is a rarity in the UK as winter frost can detract from fructification. Despite this Olea europaea has a wide climatic range and can grow anywhere that provides sunlight and well drained soil.
Fossil evidence dating back over 40 millions years shows the olive trees function and importance has outlasted the ages. This regenerative and durable tree has provided a stable food source throughout our history. Seen as an emblem of purity, abundance and peace featuring heavily in religious and ritualistic offerings as a result. The wood of an olive tree is also incredibly resilient, especially when smooth growth transforms with age into the dark twisted bark it’s known for. Healthily rooted olive trees are even known to regenerate a trunk after severe damage and decay as long as the roots remain!

Self-healing and anti-viral remedies
Tumblr media
As many of us are aware, there is a threat among us being spread at rates faster than anyone can seem to keep up with. Of course there are the top two ways to prevent illness and spread of the Corona Virus and that is:
1. WASH YOUR HANDS (for 20 seconds) as it can remain on surfaces and cling to your skin.
2. STAY HOME. By all means necessary.
Here are a few other homeopathic remedies that are out there to help and are all considered antiviral:
COLLOIDAL SILVER
Silver has been utilized as a medicine since ancient times to treat scores of ailments, including the bubonic plague. Colloidal silver is a suspension of pure metallic silver in water, that is used to dramatically reduce the activity of the HIV virus in AIDS patients, slow down the ravages of the hepatitis C virus and combat other viruses in general. It works by interfering with the enzymes that allow a virus to utilize oxygen thus, in essence, suffocating it so it cannot do damage in the body.
ELDERBERRY
The common black elderberry (Sambucus nigra) has long been used to reduce the length and severity of flu symptoms and studies. Taking 60 ml a day for adults and 30 ml for children helps to facilitate a complete recovery, often in three days. Elderberry extract binds to the tiny spikes on a virus protein that are used to pierce and invade healthy cells and destroys them so that the virus is ineffective. Elderberry may also be effective against the herpes simplex virus and some HIV strains.
ECHINACEA
The herb Echinacea (Echinacea purpurea) is supportive of the immune system and has a direct anti-viral action against colds and viral bronchitis. Preparations that include both the roots and the flowering tops are the most effective at helping the body resist the viruses.
GARLIC
Garlic has been prized for its medicinal properties for thousands of years. The compounds allicin and alliion are responsible for this common plant’s reputation as a triple threat. Garlic is anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal and it is especially effective against viruses if chewed raw.
GREEN TEA
Green tea (Camellia sinensis) contains a group of flavonoids called catechins, which appear to inhibit viral infections by blocking the enzymes that allow it to reproduce. Green tea has been known to be effective in inhibiting HIV, herpes simples and the hepatitis B virus.
LIQORICE
Liquorice contains a substance called glycyrrhizin that reduces the replication of viruses and halts their ability to penetrate replicate inside healthy cells. It has been noted to be effective in the treatment of many viral illnesses including HIV strains and viral hepatitis.
OLIVE LEAF
The leaves of Olive trees (Olea europea) contain a substances called elenoic acid and calcium elonate has been identified as a powerful inhibitor of a wide range of viruses in laboratory tests., including influenza, herpes, polio and coxsackie viruses. These substances block the production of enzymes that allow viruses to replicate.
PAU D’ARCO
Pau d’arco (Tabebuia impetiginosa), also known as lapacho or ipe roxo, is an Amazon tree with healing inner bark that can treat colds, influenza, herpes and viral stomatis. It contains quinoids that inhibit virus replication by damaging the DNA and RNA inside the viral protein that would insert itself in a healthy human cell and replicate.
ST JOHN’S WORT
St John’s Wort (Hypericum perforatum) is ore well-known for its ability to treat depression and neuralgia but it also has potent antiviral chemicals called hypercin and pseudohypericin that proactively fight off viruses that thrive by imitating existing cells through “cloaking”. These viruses that masquerade as human cells include Herpes, HIV and Hepatitis C.
For the most effective results it is highly recommended that at least two or three of these remedies in conjunction in order to vanquish viruses. As always, consult your naturopathic doctor for advise that is tailored specifically to your body. (1)

The Immunomodulatory Activity of Some Maltese Medicinal Plants: Tradition, Science and Future Prospects | Chapter 5 | Trends in Pharmaceutical Research and Development Vol. 1
Aims: To review previous studies conducted on some Maltese medicinal plants for their immunomodulatory effects on lymphocytes. Methodology: Human peripheral lymphocytes were obtained from the whole blood of human healthy volunteers. Several extracts were obtained from Olea europea L., Ephedra fragilis Desf., Aster squamatus (Sprengel) Hieron., Glebionis coronaria (L.) Tzvelev, Calendula arvensis L., Carlina involucrata Poir., Dittrichia viscosa (L.) Greuter, Galactites tomentosa Moench, Inula crithmoides L., Leontodon tuberosus L., Reichardia picroides (L.) Roth, Sonchus oleraceus L. and Ecballium elaterium (L.) A. Rich. These extracts, pure metabolites and phytohaemagglutinin were tested on both resting and stimulated lymphocytes. The blastogenic transformation was monitored by morphological observations and biochemical tests using the WST-1 tetrazolium reagent and the LDH cytotoxicity assay. Results: This current study collates all previous studies. Most of the extracts tested exhibited lymphocyte activation, with the blastogenic transformation. Some extracts exhibited comparable activity to that of PHA. Metabolites showing such effects include oleuropein, ephedrine, cucurbitacin E and flavonoids. Extensive research on cucurbitacin E reveals that, in lymphocyte-cancer cell cocultures, this metabolite induces lymphocyte activation, which in turn provokes cytotoxic effect on cancer cells. Conclusion: The effects of extracts on the lymphocytes was exhibited by several extracts. In the case of oleuropein, ephedrine and cucurbitacin E, the relationship between structure and function can be deduced. However, the extracts from the Asteraceae family contained flavonoids, but no further chemical characterization was carried out. This review recommends further chemical characterization of the extracts and in depth analysis of the mechanisms for lymphocyte activation by plant metabolites. On the other hand, this study shows the potential use of these extracts to boost the immune system, alongside chemotherapeutic agents.
