Hiya! It's been a bit since I've done fic prompts so here are a few today. These are from Bungo Stray Dogs which is new ik. Also a fun fact yesterday was my birthday. I'm not liking the responsibility and expectations that come with this age lmao. Oh, some of these have probably already been done but 🤷

What if the ADA switches places with the Port Mafia?

Oda is killed by someone different who had a grudge against him. Maybe they have a time rewinding ability? Idk but Oda didn't kill them sadly.

And instead of making his dying wish for Dazai to be a good person he asks him to avenge him and his kids.

And Dazai agrees...

They all have practically the same personalities (and abilities) just the Mafia who are now ADA aren't straight up murderous.

Just imagine the ADA commiting crimes

Like Ranpo coming up with the strategies, Kunikida as an executive, Yosano as an executive, Fukuzawa being a mafia boss, Junichiro being an assassin who is always up for murder, Naomi being a secretary who knows how to fight but is severely underestimated, and KENJI BEING IN THE MAFIA

Oh, mori isn't a pedo bc I think if Chuuya got to be the good guy he wouldn't let that slide.

Yosano still has the same backstory but maybe mori was a bit better but still felt pressure from war and the higher ups and stuff idk

Beast!Atsushi kinda idk if it would be Beast!Dazai sooo

Beast!Akutagawa but Chuuya is his mentor and Higuchi is like his partner. Kinda like Kunikida and Dazai

Chuuya used to be in the Port Mafia

Idk how or why Fukuzawa became the mafia boss???

Gin is in the ADA too

I think Tachihara would still have to be in the mafia?? Or maybe bc the ADA is always bumping heads with mafia that it would still be a place where he can gather info. Maybe the ADA is also under suspicion for something??

Idk wtf Hirotsu or Kouyou would be doing at the ADA tbh

Chuuya and Ango still have beef

What if Nakajima Atsushi tried to run away from the orphanage? Way before he was kicked out. What if Oda Sakunosuke found him?

Oda would have Atsushi stay where the other orphans were living.

Atsushi would also have a job at that diner or whatever it is.

And then he would help babysit his fellow little orphans whenever they arrived.

Atsushi saved the kids but he got hurt and lost control of his ability. He killed some of the Mimic members before passing out to heal from the bullet wounds. The tiger has never had to heal from anything so severe before. So, as the tiger had control she made him hide until he healed.

Oda finds him though with the help of the kids.

Dazai Osamu as Fox Mulder and Nakahara Chuuya as Dana Scully.

Kunikida Doppo can be one of Mulder’s alien hunter friends or maybe two Scullys??

Atsushi and Akutagawa could be newbie agents that were assigned to the X-Files

Katai would definitely be one of the alien hunter friends

I don't think abilities should exist but if you could spin it in a good way go for it

Yosano could be a doctor or former doctor turned dominatrix friend that Dazai has

Ranpo could join the X-Files bc normal cases are boring or he could be an alien hunter friend

Fyodor is an alien

Sigma was abducted by aliens and doesn't remember anything from before

Chuuya had been abducted by aliens as a child but doesn't remember it. And thinks he was kidnapped by regular old people and hit his head or trauma blocked it out

Author's note: Chapter one came out quicker than expected so I hope you'll enjoy it and sorry if it's too short, also half edited.

Summary: Dazai is intrigued with you but there is only one problem… you're not happy about it.

Word Count: 2k

Warnings: Blood, death, gore and mentions of suicide.

"So are you going to tell me?" Odasaku didn't have to look at Dazai to indicate what he was talking about, they both knew what he was asking.

Dazai only stared ahead, the emptiness he felt inside out somewhat ceased but it wouldn't fully go away… ever.

But truth be told, now he at least had something to keeo him intrigued enough until it either go away or simply… die and that something happened to be you.

Someone they called Time Weaver, a being able, to not see ahead into the future like Odasaku, but to manipulate time itself, go back in it or apparently slow it down, if what Chuuya told him was true.

She was a ghost to everyone, wherever she was, death followed and not a single person had seen her face before, at least not people he knew until Chuuya jumped in one day and claimed that he knew what you looked like but the slug refused to elaborate on when or why or how.

That was how he managed to corner you when he saw you at the bar which unfortunately proved that he was right, that he knew what you looked like but the idiot didn't think his actions through or how powerful you were and if it wasn't for Dazai then at least half the port mafia would've been attending his funeral right now.

Dazai was a curious being even though the abomination he was… it was human nature to be curious and he needed to know more about you, your ability, what it could and couldn't do.

He desperately needed a distraction from the dark shadow looming over him, fucking with his mind and pushing him to a terrifying point that hadn't came in a very long time and you were that distraction whether you wanted to be it or not.

"Dazai?" It was Ango's voice that pulled him back go reality, the music from bar Lupin returning to his hearing and he turned to look at the two men looking at him and wondered if they saw into his thoughts…

Still, keeping appearances, Dazai sighed dramatically and finally answered. "She can control time."

Odasaku looked like he was going to jump to the conclusion that you were like him but Dazai spared him the confusion after taking a swig of his drink.

"Not see into the future but she can slow time down, rewind it, shoot ropes from her body and who knows what else, she still didn't wake up yet." He clarified nonchalantly as if he didn't give a shit about the ability user or the ability itself but only a blind man wouldn't see the intrest he had in both.

Ango scoffed, his disapproval obvious "Yeah because you thought it was a good idea to have Kouyou as your plan B."

Dazai pouted and shook his head. "I didn't know she was going to hit her that hard."

"What do you expect from someone with the Golden Demon?" Ango barley moved an inch when Dazai hid himself behind Odasaku as if Ango was coming for his head.

Dazai tightened his hold on Odasaku's coat as he chanted. "Be gone, Devil."

Oda only shook his head at the weird argument before an alarm went off on all their phones, indicating an attack on the port mafia.

In a blink of an eye, the childlike behaviour disappeared as they all stood up and got inside Ango's car as he drove them to the port mafia HQ while Dazai tried to contact Chuuya, his mood ruined thanks to the sudden emergency.

When Chuuya finally answered after the fifteenth call attempt, that was how he started the conversation. "You waste of bandages! I told you we should hold her at a warehouse and not here!"

Dazai's eyes lit up like a kid on Christmas day, hearing that you were awake, wrecking havoc and probably ruining Chuuya's outfit and mood… this night was starting to get better.

"That's why an emergency was called?" Dazai asked as Oda eyed him curiously, especially with the creepy smile Dazai had on his face.

Chuuya let out a trail of curses and the sound of things breaking, glass shattering and guards groaning in pain painted a nice picture for Dazai of the situation.

"Yeah she woke up and chose violence and half our men are with the boss and the other half is dead or dying so could you make it here quicker, you dickhead!" Chuuya yelled on the other line as shuffling was heard.

Probably moving to a better hiding spot. Dazai thought to himself before ending the call and telling Ango to go faster while smiling like a madman.

This night was going waaaaay better than his expectations.

A few minutes later

When Dazai and Oda arrived at the higher floors of the building he expected wreckage and perhaps a few bodies here and there but what he didn't expect was the bloody massacre all over the place, blood covering every corner, bodies and body parts all around…

Oda looked at Dazai as if he was waiting for an explanation but how was he to explain when he himself didn't understand.

Dazai's intrest in you was increasing by the second and he didn't even have to look for you, a body flying past both him and Oda told him all he needed to know and he rushed in that direction, his coat flying with every step until he reached his destination where Chuuya was fighting you.

The young executive took you in, the unhinged look in your eyes, the blood covering your face and clothes, ropes shooting out in every direction to get hold of Chuuya who was barley using quarter of his ability on you, holding back with all his might.

You were the very image of every emotion that Dazai ever felt, painted in one being and the stupid waste of bandages as Chuuya called him stepped closer to you, ignoring Odasaku's protests.

You body went rigid for a second and you were right in his face in a… mere parts of a second, a rope shooting its way out and wrapping around his bandaged throat, lifting him off the ground.

"No guns this time?" You questioned, voice steady and booming with authority granted by your ability.

Chuuya was beginning to move your way, ready to knock you out clean off when Dazai's hand shot out, ordering him to stop as he gazed into your eyes and he shook his head to the best of his ability with your rope tight on his throat.

"No guns." He barley let out and you smirked at him, expression holding every evil in the world.

"Wrong move." You moved a new rope, ready to strike him with it.

"But a man near Keisuke has one." He used the ace up his sleeve even though he wished he wouldn’t have to use it this soon, it could have came in handy later.

"What?" You were taken a back, shocked with what he said and Dazai took the opportunity to use the rope you had around his neck.

He pulled it forward, pulling you with it and placed his hand on your cheek, nullifying your ability and you both stumbled to the ground and he could only watch in amusement as you didn't understand what happened.

His chocolate brown eyes pierced into your lost ones and he almost felt bad for his next words… almost. "If you don't want Keisuke to have a bullet in his head in the next minute, you will listen."

Dazai could swear that he had never seen someone dare glare at him with so much visible hatred the way you were doing, you eyes fiery unlike any he had seen and maybe you could compete with the way Chuuya's looked in corruption.

Yet, you didn't attempt to move as you took in the damage you've done and the three men surrounding you, one of them who didn't kill unless necessary, one who pretended that he was the baddest soul to ever walk the earth but he was entirely different and one… who didn't have a soul, much less empathy, much less trouble with killing you if you tried anything funny.

At last the weight of the situation you were in dawned upon you as Dazai saw how your body language changed from hostile to wary as you spoke. "He doesn't have anything to do with it."

Dazai chuckled, unable to content himself at little naive you… no man, would get himself into taking care of an ability user like yourself, without having anything to do with it but he wasn't surprised you didn't see it.

It was obvious that you led with your heart and emotions more than logic which would cause trouble if he managed to do what he wanted, which itself would be a miracle for you.

You almost stumbled backwards when Dazai knelt down, on the same level as you and his eyes looked haunting as he talked with so little emotion, as if he didn't even know them.

"He has everything to do with it but if you cooperate… his involvement could decrease if I say so."

For the second time, you made the mistake of maintaining eye contact with him and he too was making mistakes right now, the mistake of letting himself deal with you directly, he could feel the invisible web of yours, luring him in and he was letting it.

"What do you want from me?" You asked, or rather demanded as you brought yourself closer to him to the point where you were breathing the same air.

He smirked, leaning in closer. "You will join the port mafia under my command and together we will learn your ability."

He knew that if you fell in the hands of someone else, the port mafia wouldn't last much, if you were against them even if you and chuuya fought each other, it would lead to a destruction like the arahabaki one and the death of both of you.

Your voice shook with fear or rage, who knew. "And if I refuse? I could kill myself and then neither you nor anyone else can have any use of me."

At that, Dazai had to pause everything momentarily and observe you for a minute.

A girl who had abilities that were probably not naturally given but forced upon you, no home, no one to call family… all these would probably be enough reason to suggest that you might actually off yourself but there was one thing that changed the whole equation… Keisuke.

The young executive had sent people all over where you usually appeared and managed to gather information.

Tanaka Keisuke, a man who owned a market but it was actually a front to what or who he truly was, he found you around two years ago, saved you from a certain fate at that time and ever since, you became his protector and saved him at every turn… treating him like a brother you never had.

But someone like Dazai knew better than that saviour story but you were naive and someone who could be drained emotionally which Keisuke used on you perfectly but that also was why Dazai decided his answer to you question.

With all the confidence he asked. "And leave Tanaka Keisuke all alone for the people who are after you to kill him? You wouldn't be that cruel, right?"

The fury returned to you features. "As if you're letting me protect him? You're blackmailing me."

"I didn't say I was a saint, Belladonna, but it's a give and take situation. You give yourself to us, and you take our protection to Tanaka. It's a win-win, don't you think?"

He could see it behind those eyes of yours, the gears slowly turning and thinking of every possible outcome to any answer you would give.

"So what will it be, Bella? Us or Tanaka's death?" Dazai questioned.

Your gaze drifted to Chuuya, who was watching the scene unfold with a frown upon his face, not liking Dazai's plan but he could see why you turned to Chuuya, to you he probably looked like someone who might ensure his word.

Chuuya came closer, tone soft, meant to lure you to their trap. "I will be in direct control of his protection, he will be safe if you agree."

You fell silent as your eyes were stuck on the floor but Dazai saw it, he had already won and you would be agreeing.

Step one was complete, now to the more complicated step… convincing the boss to take you in…

All of them have heard your voice. All of them have felt your emotions towards them. They don't have name or age, but it doesn't matter. The most important thing for them is that you are a good person. And they adored you because of that.

But, still, they want to learn more about you. And, one day, they got some of their answers.

When the purple moon shines above Yokohama once again, it could mean two things. First, someone will get a new outfit. Second, someone new, a ghost from the past, will appear.

When purple moon faded, Kirako Haruno finally become truly self-aware.

BSD cast heard the voice of Their Guiding Light.

"Yea! I got Haruno! All ADA team is there!"

Kirako blinked and laugh quietly.

"[Y/N], you are so energetic."

Everyone was quiet. [Y/N]? Fukuzawa was the one, who broke the silence.

"[Y/N]? Is that...?"

Kirako nodded.

"Yes. It's their name. I have learned it during my... stasis, let's call it that."

Yosano spoked next.

"Have you learned something else?"

Kirako nodded again.

"Yes. About their interests. And some bits about their school life."

"School life?" Echoed Yosano. Kirako looked around. Everyone was looking at her.

"Yes. [Y/N] are still going to school. They are a teen."

🐾 One time, Mori took you on a shopping trip. Chuuya accompanied you two. And Mori has decided to visit all shops to buy you as many cute clothes as he can. And he didn't have a car at that moment. At the end, Chuuya had to carry exhausted you and few dozen bags.

Summary: Dazai accidentally remembers Oda and takes your advice to cope with his grief in healthy ways... or at least in a way he deems healthy

It was a peaceful Saturday afternoon. You had slept in Dazai's small apartment last night and just like you always did, you were going to spend the weekend with him as well. Unfortunately that meant taking your work with you as well, at least when you couldn't avoid or postpone what your duties as a Port Mafia executive.

That being said, that was exactly what you were doing, leaning against the wall with your laptop placed on your lap. Dazai had been kind enough to move the mattress he was sleeping on close to the wall so the both of you could lay together under the warm covers you had bought for him.

Dazai was sitting next to you, his book long forgotten in his hands. He couldn't help himself, he was curious about what you were researching. Also he couldn't help but find the way you had began getting frustrated kind of cute.

"Do you remember our first time?" He asked out of the blue. Don't get him wromg, he didn't mean to distract you from your work... he actually did want exactly that. But he only did it because he was sure you would soon throw the laptop across the room if you didn't get a break.

"I do, your bed in the shipping container wasn't the most comfortable thing I have ever slept on..." You replied, not taking your eyes away from the screen.

You and Dazai had met during his days in the Port Mafia. Kouyou had brought you in after witnessing your ability in a fight you had just happened to participate -wrong place wrong time. After bringing you to Mori, you immediately became a Port Mafia executive.

Your meeting with Dazai was inevitable. The male had actually visited you in the training room, doubting your ability was as strong as he had heard. The Poisonous Belt -your ability's name- was amongst the most dangerous abilities out there, if not the most dangerous, with it allowing you to use any ability within a range of three kilometres.

And that was when his fascination with you began: the moment a question was formed in his head. Could you use his ability as well or would just the mere nature of it cancel yours? That question remained unanswered because you decided -according to him- to make his life even more miserable, you simply refused to use your ability on him.

Anyways, the rest is history and after two years of knowing each other, when you were both eighteen, Dazai just asked you to date him and soon enough you became the only thing he treasured in his world of darkness. Cliche, I know and Dazai knows it too, but that was the truth.

"I can't do this!" You sighed. "I should just tell Tachihara to go and find information on that bastard."

"Tachihara?" Dazai raised an eyebrow. "I mean he is a good option but I think Akutagawa is better." You didn't question his suggestion to be honest. Akutagawa was indeed a great detective. "Or maybe Oda-"

The two of you froze the moment Oda's name left Dazai's lips. He had said it on impulse, you knew, and that was what made it worse. Slowly, you turned you head to look at your boyfriend. His eyes were fixed on the wall opposite from the mattress.

To say that you were scared when moments like this would occur was an understatement. You were terrified. You were terrified because on the outside it felt as if progress had been made. The truth was that every step forward put a little more sword in Dazai's heart. And you didn't know how to help so you would always let him go to walks, or leave if he wanted to stay alone.

Sometimes he would ask you to stay and you would let him lay on your chest. The truth was that if it was in your hand then you would always stay by his side because that was the only way you could guarantee his safety. The times you had found dozens of empty bottles of sake around his apartment or small blood splatters unfortunately weren't few.

One time you had managed to voice your opinion saying that he should try coping with his grief in healthier ways. Whether he had ever followed your advice or not, you didn't know.

"Get dressed." His voice was cold. Your eyes closed as you desperately tried to keep yourself from telling him that you can stay by his side. But you knew Dazai and as much as you hated it, you always wanted to give him space. Knowing when he was lying or when he was hiding things from you didn't mean you had to force him to tell you anything. Unless he wanted to speak to you of course.

"Do you want me to leave?"

"No, we'll go for a walk."

You obliged, thinking you would be going to Oda's grave. You even got your wallet with you in case Dazai wanted to buy flowers for his friend.

So why were you know standing in front of the Port Mafia building?

"Do you want to explain any of this, Osamu?" You were standing far enough from the entrance so the guards couldn't see you.

"Which part exactly?"

"Lets start with the gasoline."

"Oh you are right, my love!" His demeanour went from stone cold and serious to playful in a matter of seconds. "I should use his precious wine collection instead!"

"Yeah..." You nodded, your eyes still glued on the bottle containing gasoline. You didn't want to know how he had obtain it. "Wait what?"

"You told me I should cope with my grief in ways that wouldn't hurt me and my body."

"I did..."

"That is why I am going to set Chuuya's hat collection on fire."

You looked at him and the smile -a rare genuine one- that had returned on his face. But soon your eyes widened upon realising something. "Please don't tell me you are the one behind his motorcycle exploding, some of his wine bottles going missing and his clothes being bleached."

"The bleached clothes were just a product of my boredom. Lets go!" And with that he ran towards the entrance of the Port Mafia building. You weren't surprised that the guards let him in. He would usually visit the organisation just to see if they remember him.

"What is he planning to do this time?" You almost jumped at the voice. You had stayed behind, deep in thought. Just how many of the strange occurences in the Port Mafia building was Dazai responsible for?

Chuuya was standing next to you. "He is going to set your office on fire."

"Ugh this idiot..." He sighed and turned around, waving you goodbye.

"You're going to let him?"

"If it is the only way for him to move on then yes." Chuuya abruptly stoped. "But you owe me."

"I'll pay for your hat collection."

"And my wine."

"Deal."

Ok i am slightly further into this book now and I have some amends to make.

Kunikida is more similar to Linus and he has this slightly unhinged energy that just screams Kunikida to me and linus in constantly battling his Gay Urges whenever he sees the orphanage director so. I am keeping the skk but skk are now happily? married and running the orphanage and this is gonna be kunichuuzai because I think all three should kiss.

Also on the issue of kouyou and yosano. They are both kids now. They are in love. I don't make the rules (who am i kidding i DO make the rules). Kouyou is like Chuuya's little sister or smth and Yosano's an orphan.

Ok y'all, I'm in the middle of reading The House in the Cerulean Sea (an actual published book, shocking, haven't read on of those in years, well it's not physical tho, it's on overdrive) and because bsd brain rot is still going strong my mind won't shut up about doing a THitCS (I am abbreviating for my sanity ok) au for bsd so here we go.

Dazai shall be our mc Linus here. Why? Because I said so. I feel like Linus's no nonsense attitude fits well with Dazai and Linus's zero social life and (secretly) being lonely is very reminiscent of 15 Dazai and Dark Era Dazai.

Oda is going to be Dazai's pet cat or dog idk yet. No I do not make the rules.

Chuuya is going to be the orphanage director because Chuuya canonically looks at bsd kids and just, adopts them. (And because skk) And

Fukuzawa is going to be the island sprite because I Said So.

And by this logic Ranpo is going to be the super powerful younger sprite because in THitCS the younger forest sprite is mentored by the older island sprite and I think the these two deserve this ok.

The resident crazy antichrist kid goes to Q because its Q.

Rest of the kids are Atsushi, Kyouka, Akutagawa, Gin, Kenji, Junichiro, and Naomi

Anyways I kinda wanna make Yosano and Kunikida kids too, but that feels wrong. idk I'm only like 8 chapters into THitCS I'll figure something out for them.

AND KOUYOU IS GOING TO LIKE CO RUN THE ORPHANAGE OR SOMETHING WITH CHUUYA BECAUSE YES.

Bungou Stray Dogs Roleplay Request

Hello! The name's Azul. I'm an 18 year old who loves Bungou Stray Dogs. For a few days now I have been trying to find long-term roleplay partners who knows the fandom of Bungou Stray Dogs.

I have been in the Bungou Stray Dogs fandom for almost a year now, and let me just say I really adore all of the characters except for Mori.

The problem is that I have never experienced roleplaying the fandom BUT I am now wanting to experience roleplaying the fandom and possibly explore the AUs.

I have cosplayed a character from the fandom before and that is the one and only; Chūya Nakahara.

My future cosplay would be Ranpo and I'm excited about it but at this very moment I am working on collecting all of the books.

BSD rant? (MANGA SPOILERS!!)

When will BSD fans stop babying Dazai? When will they finally understand that they are projecting themselves on him and don't really "kin" him? (Cuz if you kin Dazai, then ya'll should be in mental hospital).

When will they understand that Dazai is a nihilist person who doesn't care about life or death, good or evil? When will they realize that Mori didn't abuse him or experimented on him (where did that idea ever came from?)?

When will they learn that in BSD no one is good or evil? It's a place for morally grey characters!!

Kunikida and Ranpo were ready to let Atsushi die when he was kidnapped by Akutagawa. Tanizaki was very murder happy with killing Mori. Even Fukuzawa used to be an assassin!!

ADA Dazai is still PM Dazai cuz he doesn't care about anything else besides Oda's wish for him to be on the side that saves people (see how he doesn't say "be on the "good" side"?)

Oda himself said that for Dazai good or bad has same meaning, so why do these so-called fans and "kinnies" pretend that they know him better than Oda? As if Dazai won't kill someone in cold blood? He tried to drown Dostoyevskiy to win against him in latest chapters!

He doesn't hate the mafia, he hates Mori because Mori killed his friend!! That is a reason why he hates Mori.

"He left toxic and abused place" — Dazai is toxic and abusive himself. That toxic relationship between Dazai and Akutagawa and Akutagawa and Kyoka began with DAZAI, NOT MORI! (Unless Asagiri tells us it was Mori.) He didn't care about Akutagawa. No one went and forced Dazai to shoot or beat the shit out him. He did it on his own!

When will they stop babying him? As if Dazai would let anyone abuse or manipulate him, let alone his boss. He did what he did on his own.

It gets so annoying reading BSD fanfics cuz most of writers have him written "sad uwu boy who didn't want to be in Mafia but because he was abused, experimented (simetimes even SA'd) by Mori, he finally left the toxic space, hates Mafia and really wants to be a good person" 🙄

Do they even understand that all these are just "headcannons"? To them if you even say that you like Mori, you are a p*do excuser and abuser lover? Like, do these people even know how to think???

None of whatever they have deluded themselves with is Canon! Dazai is in ADA because of Odasaku. Mori isn't a p*do cuz Asagiri hasn't confirmed anything. Chuuya isn't a feminine uwu boy who can't function without Dazai and Mafia is actually very important to Yokohama.

"Mori doesn't deserve Elise" — Elise is Mori!! She is like Demon Snow and Golden Demon. She doesn't even have a personality unless Mori gives her one. She doesn't have feelings on her own. She isn't a human being.

"Mori said she was his wife" — well she is a part of Mori, so he can call her whatever he wants. Mori probably had her since he was a child. I wouldn't be surprised if he were to love her 🤷‍♀️

"The name of his ability is sus" — well, if they had read real life Mori's book "Vita Sexualis" they would have realized that the book is about a man who has very low s*x drive, probably an asexual — there, a simple answer. So, no we don't know anything about how his ability works and wiki page that says Vita Sexualis is projecting his own sexual wants on Elise isn't canon!

"He said he like his women below 12" — yeah, as a joke, both with Kouyou and Fukuzawa. Elise calling him a "lolicon" is Mori calling himself a "lolicon". Elise hating Mori is also self hatred 🤷‍♀️ Because, once again, Elise doesn't have a personality on her own, do we even know if she can think on her own? BEAST and Yosano’s past kinda raise this question.

They can hate him for what he did to Yosano but if my country was in a war, I, probably, would do the same if someone had that ability. It's one person versus a whole country. It's called necesasry evil.

BSD fans have to realize that what they want to sell as canon is just a headcanon, not everyone has same headcanons and that they are reading a Seinen not Shounen.

My Opinion On Every Single Bungou Stray Dogs Ship

Part Four- Het Ships IV

Parts One, Two, & Three

Kyoukenji/ Kyouka Izumi x Kenji Miyazawa: I think people ship this primarily because they’re the only 14-year-olds in the Agency. There’s also a bit of the “sun and moon” trope with them. Because they are the same age I do want to see them interact more. I also want to see Kyouka interact more with people who are not Atsushi. I would feel pretty eh about the ship, but as I said the primary reason people ship this is because they’re the same age… because it’s in response to a better different ship with an age gap. And ships created to counter other ships annoy me. 3/10

Marklucy/ Mark Twain x Lucy Maud Montgomery: I don’t understand this one. Is it because they were both redheads in the Guild? I don’t get the appeal 😭 0/10

Marksano/ Mark Twain x Akiko Yosano: My mind is just doing “?” What’s up with these random af ships. We don’t even know anything about Mark, why do we care about him so much we’re shipping him with quality ladies. What’s going on here. 0/10

Morizaki/ Ougai Mori x Kouyou Ozaki: I’ve seen people complain about this ship, but I’ve never actually seen anyone ship them. I might have to rewatch/reread, but isn’t there a subtle joke about them being together and it was answered with a rejection because… yeah. 0/10

Odasaki/ Oda Sakunosuke x Kouyou Ozaki: Ooo I’ve never heard of this, they are both almost the same age and in the Mafia, but it is still random since they have nothing to do with each other. I guess I could see something in their characters that could make them have an interesting relationship (even if not romantic), but we’d have to know a little more about Kouyou first. 2/10

Odasano/ Oda Sakunosuke x Akiko Yosano: I think y’all are just shipping her with any man she interacts with or y’all like. Which is really unexpected considering how many people slap the “lesbian and hates men” label on her lmao. Uh, I don’t think this ship would work, but I don’t think it would be bad. It’s just eh. 1.5/10

Poecott/ Edgar Allen Poe x Louisa May Alcott: The two socially awkward people from the Guild, see I can see where y’all are coming from with this. While I think they’d get along, they’d definitely be those two people who go on one date and since neither one managed to bring up the other’s interests they have nothing to talk about and just talk about the weekend or weather or sit in silence for one painful hour. Maybe if they got talking about what the other was interested in they’d really hit it off. EDIT: Y’all, I completely forgot their ages I thought Louisa was 19 and Poe was 25. But she’s 18 and he’s 28 💀 so this ranking/opinion is for a few years in the future. 3/10

Ranposano/ Ranpo Edogawa x Akiko Yosano: This is another ship where I understand why people ship it, they have a good platonic relationship in canon, but I just don’t see it. I like their dynamic better as friends, I don’t see anything romantic going on between them. I really wish I could give it a higher rating, but I just can’t get behind it. 3.5/10

Shiruan/ Shirase x Yuan: This one actually makes a little more sense. But I don’t really care one way or the other, and I doubt anyone else really does. 2/10

A Lost Chance

CW: Angst, betrayal, PM!Dazai, Dark Era Spoilers!, Mafia stuff ig?

Pairings: Akutagawa x reader, Platonic!Oda x reader

Author's note: A little OOC sorry! I don’t think I’ve really got Akutagawa down yet in terms of character. Trying to expand beyond writing just for Dazai and Chuuya - though I have loads more fic ideas for them!

Anyway hope you enjoy :)

You had been with the Port Mafia ever since you could remember. Kouyou had recruited you at a young age, seeming seeing, as she put it, “a darkness in you akin to the flower of darkness being nurtured in me.” She trained you and showed you how to flourish in the darkness. You’d never questioned it; never asked why.

You took it all in stride, stayed in the darkness and even became comfortable there. Making friends in the mafia was easier than it sounded. Despite it being a criminal organisation, there were surprisingly many people your age. The Akutagawa siblings were surprisingly who you’d grown closest to over the years. Although each of you trained under different executives, in different factions of the organisation, you became really close.

Ryunosuke in particuar you felt you gravitated to. He was angry and brash, so desperate to prove himself to Dazai as strong that he was often blinded to things around him. However, you admired how driven he was and how hard he worked. Though, he wasn’t always so rage-fuelled. Sometimes he could be gentle and sweet, especially when it came to Gin. He was always soft and considerate of his sister and protective of her as well. It was incredibly sweet.

He was also soft with you, and just as protective of you as he was of Gin. He had grown fond of you, as you’d pretty much grown up together. You always stuck by him and seen his worth even when Dazai did not. You were one of the few people he completely trusted and allowed himself to open up to. It was not until his early teens when he realised he was falling for you, or rather, until Gin realised and told him. He was never good with his emotions, often acting on whims, usually in violence or anger.

However, unknown to the Black-Fanged Hellhound of the Port Mafia, you were just as smitten with him. Though, on your side you were aware of his short temper and inability to confront any emotions outside of the negative. So, you were content to wait until he was ready for the next step in your relationship. You had always been content within the darkness of the mafia’s walls.

Until you weren’t.

When you met Oda Sakunoske, it was supposed to be a simple job. You were there as extra muscle and firepower during what was later called the Dragon’s Head Conflict. You were only 14 at the time and so had been kept out of the main action. Though the mafia was desperate, so still they sent you in. That’s where you first saw him. Picking up any stragglers he could find, rescuing children and protecting them from the conflict. He seemed determined to keep the kids out of the darkness - a concept completely mysterious to you. At first you had been confused, but curious.

The second time you met him was when you sought him out. He had sparked your curiosity and you wanted to know more. You hung around with him; you asked him questions. He always gave you the same blunt answers about wanting to help the kids. He showed them kindness, a kindness that stemmed from light. You had never been exposed to light before Oda; it was then that he opened the door for you, leading to light.

From then on, you had decided to help him, to be more kind. You would look after the orphans when he was gone too long on mafia jobs and contribute to their living costs. Eventually, they began to see you as an older sibling and, eventually, you became very attached to them.

Regardless of how kind you were when it came to the kids, you never forgot where you worked, where you believed you belonged. In the darkness. You continued to work as a member of the mafia, alongside your friends. You still cared for the Akutagawa siblings, still infatuated with Akutagawa, though you now attempted to prevent any excessive violence he attempted. Life went on with only a few changes.

It was when you were 16 that Akutagawa finally told you he loved you. He had just had an intense training session with his mentor and he returned to his and Gin’s shared abode battered and bruised, coughing and spluttering. You had already been there, waiting for one or both of the siblings to show up to hang out, when he walked through the door. You stood up to help him, only for him to fall on top of you, sending you both to the floor with a thud. You gently rolled him off of you and rushed to get the med kit before tending to his injuries.

It was then that he realised he did not want to lose you, you who treated him with respect and love, who showed him his worth was not just based on Dazai’s opinion of him, who reassured him of his strength when he believed himself weak. He had been aware of his feelings for you before, but now he had no choice but to act on them and let you know of his feelings. So he told you. He communicated exactly how he felt, as he placed a soft kiss on top of your forehead, thanking you for loving him andf taking care of him. That was the beginnign of your wonderful and short-lived relationship as lovers.

The two of you remained professional as ever within the realm of the mafia, but outside you were much less hard and cold. Akutagawa was warm and loving, though he showed it in his own way, and you in turn took care of him. He had never been taken care of before, not like the way you did - intimately and without any sign of disgust or regret. You loved him and he loved you, and, though you had been exposed to the light, you were content to live in this realm of darkness if it meant the two of you could keep on loving one another.

And then everything fell apart.

Akutagawa had stormed into the room furious one day, frustrated at the new enemy, Mimic, and his lack of usefullness to his mentor, the Demon Prodigy. He had ranted about Dazai and how he had reprimanded him for botching the trap he had set up. He went on and on about how Dazai’s friend was so much better than him. Placing your hands around his, you attempted to calm him down, to no avail, as he shook your hands off and got even more worked up. This time, however, his anger turned towards you. He had never been angry at you before, not seriously anyway, not like he was then, with fiery rage burning in his eyes, brows scrunched together and lips tightly pursed together. He had yelled at you, blamed you for making him weak, for allowing him to be soft, to let down his guard. He screamed and shouted about how without you he would finally be strong, Dazai would finally recognise him as strong.

Eyes full of tears and withou response, you sidestepped the mafioso and stormed past him. You would not hear him say those things, although you knew that his anger was not truly directed at you, but it still hurt to listen to the boy you loved berating you. You were aware of his lack of control over his emotions from the start, you just needed some time to cool down, and to let him cool down.

It was a couple days since your fight with Akutagawa when it happened. You had thought he was going to visit you, but he simply still needed time. Ryunosuke regretted lashing out and losing control, but he didn’t know how to make it right, so he opted to leave you alone, deciding until he could figure out how to fix it, he would let you have your space.

That was his mistake.

The news of the mafia’s success defeating mimic, whilst also attaining a permit allowing the mafia to legally operate with Gifted individuals. However, few knew how it had been done. You had been celebrating on with Gin in your apartment after hearing the news. It was only when they left, late that night, that you started asking youself the questions of “who”, “what”, “where”, “when” and “why”. That’s when you heard a knock at the door. There stood the Demon Prodigy himself, Dazai Osamu, eyes slightly puffy, though his attempts to conceal it was commendable.

You had met him a few times throughout your time in the mafia, through missions and jobs. However, your interactions grew slightly more after meeting Oda. You were aware of their odd friendship and that Oda trusted him, considering him a true, genuine friend. That said, your respect for him was only for him as a superior, given your relationship to his pupil. You were wary of the man at the door, unsure of why he would seek you of all people out, why he would come at such a late hour.

“Odasaku is gone.”

It was the only thing he said before he dragged himself into your apartment, plonking himself down on your couch.

Your ears rang with the words, your face displaying obvious disbelief. He couldn’t be gone, that couldn’t be true, right? But you knew that Dazai would not be in your presence if it was fake. Your mind raced, what would you do without your mentor of light? What would the kids do? You hadn’t even thought about them yet, how would you break the news...

“They’re gone too.”

As if reading your mind, Dazai lifted his head. He recounted the events of Oda’s death to you and the death of the orphans. As he spoke, he stared at the wall, it was apparent how desperate he was not to cry. He looked almost innocent as the sorrow crossed his face. He turned to you.

“I’m leaving the mafia. His last wish was for me to do something good, to live in the light and help people. He asked if I could bring you with me.”

The former Demon Prodigy extended his hand to you, an invitation.

And, without looking back, to honour the person you most looked up to, you took it.

Akutagawa knocked on your door. One. Two. Three times. No response. You hadn’t been seen in days, he came to check on you. The rest of the mafia was busying themselves with finding the former executive, now suspected traitor, but all he could think of was you. He was finally ready to patch things up, ready to tell you how sorry he was. Another knock. No response again, so he busted down your door. He’d apologise later but he had to talk to you first.

Your apartment was empty, blank and cold - nothing like the warm environment it had been while you lived there. Akutagawa tore through the apartment, room by room, still no sign. You were gone.

You had left and taken with you the last part of his soul that was not rage and despair.
