Me when I play Lesson 11 in Nightbringer and figure out why everyone else hates Solomon

Okay, in all seriousness... I would be the worst person for Solomon to rely on lol

I completely understand and even support what he's trying to accomplish. Solomon wants humans to be viewed as equals because yes, we aren't the weaklings that demons and angels may think we are. We are strong, resilient, tenacious, and special in our own ways. We can be just as cruel and devious as demons, but also just as genuinely kind and compassionate as angels. We all possess those qualities.

From a personal standpoint, though... As disgustingly selfish as this is, why would I as an individual ever choose to turn my back against the demons who have pretty much become my family who I deeply love and cherish just to instigate or support a war where I would be siding with humanity as a whole? Because I'm a human? No thanks, I'll pass.

!! Potential Spoilers Ahead !!

I know in this specific timeline, the brothers aren't close with us like they are in the OG game. But that doesn't change my feelings for them nor all of the events and shenanigans we've been through with them.

Also, maybe Solomon is forgetting or simply ignorant to these very important facts :

How many times did MC risk their life for the brothers?

MC gave a portion of their lifeforce to Beel in the Reaper's Cave. MC (was given the choice to) stab themselves in order to spare Lucifer's life. MC also forgave Belphie for legit killing them/a version of themselves. Just to name a few.

MC also supported all of the brothers so many times, and they all supported, defended, and protected MC in return.

Sure, that was all in the "present" timeline. But it still happened as far as I'm concerned.

And let's not forget the fact that Lucifer and his brother's lowkey threatened to dismember Solomon if he doesn't bring MC back safe and sound. So again... Why would I turn my back on their past versions just because demons or angels as a whole may not view humans as "equal"?

To be perfectly fair, some humans are pretty despicable. I've had more bad experiences than not with humans, some of which who were supposed to love and protect me yet did the complete opposite. I still continue to see the bad in some humans just through their words and actions (or lack thereof). While that may not be all of humanity's fault, it still has left me with deep scars and a long lasting negative/biased opinion on humans, society, and humanity.

And as far as humans being viewed as equal... I think it would be much more impactful and significant for individual humans to directly prove to demons and angels just how worthy of recognition they truly are. Solomon and MC can both do that together instead of instigating an all out war.

Just look at how much MC accomplished in OG Obey Me! Lucifer, Mammon, Levi, Satan, Asmo, Beel, Belphie, Barbatos, Diavolo, Solomon, and Simeon are all "dateable".

Why would a demon or an angel want to romance a human if they didn't view that human as an equal? They all even say how special MC is. That's a perfect opportunity for MC to dangle the fact that they are indeed human in front of the boys, yet they still have feelings for MC regardless. In other words : "admit humans are just as capable as demons and angels, or call yourself a hypocrite right here and now".

Not only that, but their current actions could affect the present, right? Then why would we even entertain the idea of going to war with them? How would that affect the present and MC's relationships with the brothers, Diavolo, Barbatos, and Simeon?

So yeah... You have my deepest apologies, Solomon, but you are completely alone on this one. I could never bring myself to turn my back on the brothers, even if they all wanted me dead.

And honestly, I think the game is also hinting that MC won't go along with Solomon's plan or will at least try to find an alternative solution, considering we were given the choice to hand the grimoire over to Lucifer instead of using it on him (even though he was legit threatening us moments beforehand)

We'll have to wait to see what happens next, but as it stands right now... I applaud Solomon's drive and desire for humanity to stand next to demons and angels rather than remain beneath them... But I'm definitely not on board with what he's asking of us.

He would have a better chance at asking me to side with him directly instead of humanity as a whole, since I wouldn't want anything bad to happen to Solomon. But still, you can count me out, my eccentric and misinformed teacher ~

Obey Me! Nightbringer "Absolute Zero" Pop Quiz

!WARNING SPOILERS FOR EVENT!

Okay sit down. I have thoughs (both good and bad).

This event did not start off not great... I don't mind another festival event persay cause it's cool seeing different events celebrated in the Devildom, but I didn't really get how this one worked. It's for the frost wolf 🐺 guy, to please/honor him. Dance (okay makes sense), Flowers (not surprising), Ice sculptures (Ooo fun), Fasting (alright). Except apparently only a few people need to participate in the fasting????

I personally have never participated in fasting, but I don't think it works that way normally?? (Please correct me if I'm wrong).

And idk this ^^ also seemed odd to me?

However, I do think think the story does improve a bit. I like that the frost wolf is trying to take us away because it wants the bond everyone has with each other. 💜 and there is a lot of cute individual moments.

The side character moments were fantastic! Love squirrels for one thing! Planting with Raphael and hanging up posters with Mephi also super sweet! Like Mephi is trying so hard to help Diavolo anyway he can. What a champ!

Then in the later chapters the support they show you!! Ahhh! I can't wait for them to be dateable 💜

Diavolo was the star of this event for me 🌟 they really showcased his playful side! I was laughing so hard at these parts xD the music change on the ice sculpture one was splendid 🤣

Now back to some negatives... maybe I'm not far enough in the main story, but I think this event implies we live with the brothers. They lay on a bit too thick that they can't live without me. Why do I move to purgatory hall? Why can't I go back to my room in cocytus hall?? They can live without me... I can still visit?

These little 'activities' were fun and I liked how they fit the theme of the festival. But I think it would have been better to fill the lanterns with past good memories or memories of looking back at the festival instead of 'forcing' moments with the intent to fill the memories.

I did this last night and already forgot half of them 😅

My faves were Lucifer and Diavolo's moments.

So sweet of him to notice we would need a rest + cuddle! :3

This activity was just fun! I wanna make ice cream flavors for people I know!

The timeline where we dress up as an ice lion was so ridiculous lmao they were really tossing so many things in this event. As a whole I didn't really like it, but because some individual parts were so good it kinda made up for that lol.

I wonder if MC from obey me would be able to handle the chaos and shenanigans of Twisted Wonderland, in the main story there's like an overblot almost every month over the course of a school year

Overblots in the game are what happen when mages with large magic pools to draw from either 1 use too much magic without recharging(such as relaxing or sleeping to make the blot go away), 2 large amount of negative emotions(usually from bottling it up), or 3 a mix of both

Blot is basically like carbon dioxide when we breathe, but the magic version and it manifests as black inky stuff

I hope this makes sense *faceplants in AuDHD need to clarify*

Sometimes I wonder about obey me MC, Yuu/MC from twst, and MC from Mystic Messenger meeting and/or temporarily swapping with eachother to see how they'd handle the different environments

I'm afraid I don't have much insight into this, as I have never played Twisted Wonderland. I played Mystic Messenger years and years ago, but I don't remember it super well.

Generally I think the OM MC is very passive and just... kinda goes with the flow. They seem to be able to handle all the OM nonsense without losing their mind, so I suspect they'd just take it all in stride. Though with the occasional chaos option because it's funny lol.

I just don't think they'd be bothered by such things? They've gone through all kinds of magical weirdness at the hands of Nightbringer and Solomon and whoever else. They might be relieved even if there's like a known way to deal with it. Since I think most of the stuff that happens in OM is like... okay it's a magic problem but we don't know what's wrong or how to fix it!

When I read your description I thought about all the party lovers like Asmodeus and Mammon but he can be controling in my opinion (style wise. Plus he is really judgmental). He just....lacks the chill that Solomon has.

If it was appearance only I'd have given you Mammon or Beel not gonna lie. You look amazing between ^^.

Solomon is overlooked but he loves going out too. How else would he have gotten 72 pacts??? But his type of outgoing is really spontaneous. He just goes, walk and explore. He joins parties he goes to bars. It's giving la bohème (I don't know how to explain it in english). He is immortal which means he just lives in the present. You two would've met on a party he went to or a night club. Your personalities clicked and you got in contact. At first contact was rather sparse but then he got more and more invested. A relationship with Solomon is more casual than anything else cuz it takes him time to get serious. Getting attached is painful when you're immortal.

He enjoys how protective and honest you are. He doesn't mind you being feisty and often chimes in with you if you're in an argument (it pisses off the other even more but Solomon would win in a fight no cap). He likes letting you speak your mind and would ask questions from time to time. He'd totally start debates with you just to see you getting all passionate.

While he doesn't curse, he doesn't mind you cursing. Hell you'd influence him into cursing more often but his insults are from the middle age. He enjoys all sense of humor and if you're interested he can show you how humor evolved with the centuries....I hope it's funny because I saw some 17th century jokes and they weren't funny in my oh so humble opinion.

When you show him your tattoos he'd just take off his shirt and show you his pacts mark tattoo (there was an artist who drew this headcanon and fuck it looked amazing!) I also think he got some symbolic tattoos besides the pact marks.

People often think that you're the one who they should be scared about because Solomon looks harmless and then they get hit by a spell/curse when they start being disrespectful. Poor ignorant souls.

Solomon doesn't give a fuck about how you dress as long as it makes you happy. If anyone has anything negative to say about it he'll have a word with them. Asmo would also join him on this lol (he'd be your bff trust me). Asmo also loves dragging you both for shopping (he loves making you two buy matching fits).

Anyways the relationship with Solomon is really adventurous. You both just live in the present and I believe he'd introduce you to lots of new things!

Ok, it's about time I talk about this blog for a little bit.

Don't look so scared! There's good news ahead!

Alright, so it's obvious by now that I've kind of fallen out of the Obey Me! fandom. Before Nightbringer came out, I just burned out with the constant events and the difficulty in progressing through the main story and levelling up cards. Plus, I had gotten pretty invested in Twisted Wonderland and Genshin Impact, so my attention just never stuck with Obey Me. Eventually I drifted away to other blogs for other fandoms, leaving this one in the dust. I may have said that I wasn't leaving for good, but inspiration never struck me, so it was kind of like I had given up anyway.

I've been playing Nightbringer casually since it came out, and I'll be honest...it has the same problems as OG Obey Me. However, I am still kind of interested in the main story, and my love for Solomon has been reinvigorated <3 (Not that I ever stopped, of course.) I was hoping I'd get at least a few ideas to toss into the void, but alas...that didn't happen either, and I'm not the kind of person who can or wants to force myself to write.

So, where's the good news?

Well, I'm not ready to say I'm done with Obey Me for good. I'll be honest with you right now: any Obey Me fics will probably be few and far between. This is due to a variety of factors, including but not limited to a general decrease in fixation and the simple fact that I'm older and have a lot more to focus on in my life. But I do still have a soft spot for these boys (mostly Solomon. It's like 99% Solomon.), and I miss you guys! I still get notifs every day and I'm honored and astounded that people still like my works. Even though I have a LONG list of complaints with Obey Me at this point, being in this fandom has never been boring or negative for me. I've genuinely missed the experiences and connections I made here that I lost with my dwindling presence in the fandom.

So, FINALLY, here's where the good news is: I don't think I'm finished with Obey Me. I will still be pretty absent on this blog for a while, but I've decided on a plan that will help me feel less stressed to write whatever I want.

Sometime in the future - so, not right now (and in fact it will probably be a while) - I plan on remaking my blogs. I'm going to start an all-new x reader blog, much like this one, but multifandom. That way, when I feel like writing for a fandom I'm not all that present in anymore, I won't feel guilty for resurrecting a dead account and potentially giving you all false hope.

When this time comes, I'll be a little annoying with the promo to ensure that you won't miss it. There's no guarantee, but I'm really hoping that this blog will be permanent for my reader insert writing, rather than my trend of making a new blog per fandom.

I don't expect you to follow it or even really care, of course. Even though I have built a healthy separation between myself and my online presence, I did still feel a little bad about leaving you all hanging. I'm sure it gets annoying when I'm constantly promoing blogs and changing my URLs, but......well, I apologize for the inconvenience ^u^

Before you leave, let me tell you two more things!

1.) My old NSFW blog, solomonish-afterdark, is no longer a NSFW-only blog. I haven't removed any of my fics, but I reblogged a lot of my old fics on various blogs to that account. It's now sort of a fanfic archive! I was originally planning to use that as my catch-all fandom writing acc, but I just didn't like the organization of that. I can't explain it lol but it was just STRESSING ME OUT. So I changed the url (it's now @/sampologist) and it'll probably stay as an archive forever. Sorry :(

2.) I've gotten a lot of notes and asks about Love Disconnection. Thank you so much for reading it, enjoying it and talking to me!! I do actually really want to continue it, but if/when I do, I'm going to warn you that I'm probably going to rewrite the first part before I add any more. Don't worry, it'll keep the same plot, premise and vibe! I just think I've improved a little bit since I wrote it - and, TBH, there was already a big plot hole I wrote myself into that I was dreading explaining my way around. I'm making no promises! But it does still occupy a slice of my brain, even after all this time.

That's it for now, I think. Sorry if this wasn't as good as I may have gotten your hopes up to be, but I'm looking forward to this change! I'm going to wait until my interest in my current fandoms fades a little bit before I start the arduous transition, so if I get that divine inspiration for these boys in the meantime I'll be sure to post it here! Until then, I hope you understand why I've left and why I've been so reluctant to leave permanently. And I hope you can stick with me through one more move, if that interests you when it's time.

Obey Me Demons’ Toxic Traits

heyyy i know i said i’d write this like a month ago, but i hit some writers block for this lolz. no angels or Solomon sorry :/ anyway enjoy! <3

Lucifer: he’s not used to not be denied. he’s so used to everyone following his orders that being told “no” is new and annoying. he doesn’t like not being in charge so when he tells you to do something and you say no, he fucking loses it. not like temper tantrum but like he’s about to murder you and rip your limps off your body for defying him. have fun with that.

Asmo: asmo has never been in a committed relationship, his entire personality is based on being a flirt and being with multiple people at once. so, if you guys are dating, you’re going to have get used to the sight of him flirting with every pretty person he sees. he doesn’t understand monogamy like why limit yourself to one hot person when you can have a lot of hot people?

Beel: he puts you on a pedestal. you’re virtually perfect in his eyes. no matter what happens, it’s never your fault. you guys never argue because you’re always right…even when you’re wrong. in his mind, you can do no wrong, so if you ever do something that breaks that pedestal, he’ll start realizing that you’re not the amazing person he thought you were. and instead of learning and realizing that humans make mistakes, he thinks that means you guys aren’t meant to be and will break up with you.

Satan: his love language is being mean. he teases you and pokes at your insecurities. he crosses the line multiple time, but calls you too sensitive when you get upset. he gets angry at you for “not being able to take a joke”. he’s used to being mean to everyone he meets and doesn’t realize that being mean is actually fucking mean. he’ll roll his eyes when you get angry, and call you manipulative when you cry at his insults. you can try to tell him that his “jokes” crosses a line, and he’ll try to not be as mean, but it feels fake to you and him and he’ll get angry at you for trying to change him…good luck lol

Belphie: scheduling anything with him is a mess. he’s forgetful and lazy. he either forgets that you guys have something planned or will get too tired and flake. trying to get him out of bed takes forever, so making plans is frustrating for you and him. he’ll get upset that you’re interrupting his sleep and you’ll get upset that he never even tries to show up to your date. either you’ll have to get used to date nights in his room or you’ll have to drag him out of his room and watch as he falls asleep during your date.

Mammon: with mammon, he expects you to know what he’s thinking constantly. he won’t tell you how he’s feeling, but he expects you to know anyway. is he pushing you away? shouldn’t you know that it’s because he’s feeling insecure? is he pouting at you? shouldn’t you know that means he’s hungry? he wants you to tell him everything you’re feeling, but doesn’t tell you how he feels. he just assumes you’re a mind reader. maybe he doesn’t understand that communication is key, maybe he’s insecure and afraid that you’ll leave him if he talks about what he wants. you probably won’t know without sitting him down and talking about how he needs to be more open.

Levi: levi is very, very, very emotional. like he feels the most intense negative emotions with you (not saying there is no positive emotions, but that the negatives ones take over and cause him to spiral). you could mention that you really like the outfit he wore last week, he’ll start stressing about if you like the outfit he’s wearing now. you probably don’t know that every comment you make on anything is stored in his head and used as information to overthink about. if he makes a joke and you don’t laugh, he’ll get sad and start talking about how he’s not funny and how he’s a worthless boyfriend. if you (somehow) win against him in a video game, he’ll spiral and talk about how he’s bad at everything. (kind of reminds me of a pick-me guy) you’ll be constantly reassuring him that he’s amazing and a good boyfriend. (lowkey exhausting for people with a short fuse)

Diavolo: diavolo doesn’t take anything seriously. everything is fun and exciting and nothing is truly serious. you can never have a serious conversation. the only thing he’s ever serious about his RAD and the kingdom. to him, your relationship is supposed to be carefree and something that isn’t supposed to stress him out. so if you guys ever get into an argument, he will not care. he doesn’t think he’s supposed to care. if the relationship is starting to stress him out, he’ll break up. diavolo didn’t sign up for someone that exhausts him, he signed up for someone he wants to have fun with.

Barbatos: barbatos is used to taking care of someone and coddling them. so, when you’re dating, he doesn’t really let you make choices of your own. he does things for you, he does the cooking, the cleaning, the shopping, and won’t really let you do any work. are you at a restaurant? barbatos will pick and order food for the both of you. are you out shopping? barbatos will choose clothes for you to wear. he’s not very good at handing over control. he’s ordered around by diavolo, but also enjoys doing everything for him. he likes controlling you and doing everything for you. (in my opinion, barbatos is super adaptable, so just telling him “hey, chillax” will get him to stop being so controlling)

The season for summer festivals is coming to an end :’) it’s something that I think a lot, but I wish we had something similar to Japanese festivals in the states.  There’s probably something in NYC, or it’s been a really long time since I’ve been to DC’s cherry blossom festival.

Italy has its own style of festivals, so once I make it back there I’m sure the itch will be covered lol

1. Levi uses すんなし (sunna shi) at the end of his sentence, which is interesting because it’s more slang-ish than his negative commands usually are!  すんな (sunna) is more commonly said by Mammon, while Levi usually says するな (suru na).  Also, putting し (shi) at the end makes the command even stronger, which is apparently a feature of the Kōshū dialect.  Kōshū is a pretty small city!  But I read that the 〜し ending was popularized by the morning drama Hanako to Anne. 2. I didn’t know this before, but apparently なんでもあり (nandemo ari) has the meaning of “you can use or do anything”.  It can also mean someone’ll say the same thing no matter what, I think. 3. When I looked this up Jisho told me that Zunou Senkan Galg is a jp-exclusive scrolling shooter on the Famicom, and that was completely useless to me but now I kind of want to try it out lol 4. If you engage in like.  Any Japanese media ever, you probably know this, but yukata differ from kimono in that yukata are simpler, less formal, and less expensive.  Yukata are also usually considered summer garments, so they’re a staple feature of summer festivals! 5. Belphie literally says “I’m interested in that”, but that sounded so stilted that I played with it 6. やがる (yagaru) my beloved.  It’s mentioned in the “Mammon’s way of speech” post, but やがる implies that the speaker is pissed off about the verb before it. 7. Ramune is that soda that comes in those unique glass bottles with the marble!  The standard flavor is apparently lemon-lime, but it’s so sweet it tastes more like bubble gum to me. 8. 糸引きくじ (itohiki kuji) is a lottery where you choose a string to pull and receive whatever prize was attached to that string, if there was one.  I think it’s more commonly called 千本引き (senbonhiki), but 糸引きくじ would make sense for a place outside of Japan like the Devildom. 9. There’s really no way to translate this directly since it’s a people group, so I just go with the localization (though the word “people” is nowhere to be found so I drop it).

Here is My List of LEAST to MOST Favorite of The Obey Me Boys ^^

That I just did on spot because I didn't have one ready because it's hard for me to rate the characters as they all have their traits and even their flaws add something good to the character but I'll be dammed if I don't enjoy deep frying my brain for fun.

Please take note I am taking this literally and all characters in here are FAVORITES, just some will be more and some less, which mean I LIKE ALL OF THEM. Yes, I have changed my opinion on a certain two characters I have said to not like, and I am not ashamed to say I was incorrect.

So let's start this off with the right foot shall we?

#12 | Diavolo

He is still infuriating I won't deny that. And I won't pity him though he is a tragic character that is so lonely he overrates any kind of affection, that doesn't know how to interact with others without exagerating, that has no one to give an oposing opinion because of his status and so it's increasingly hard for him to learn to make good decisions, and with his goal to unite the realms I could almost say he is naive. He's a bit of a puppy always wanting some pets, but as a not dog person, I don't have enough in me to be always playing, so to me an overly needy puppy can end up getting annoying, though of course, I can't help it but at least give it a few pets before going my way.

#11 | Simeon

Yes in the end I actually liked him all along but was just in denial after I thought about it. Simeon is a good character, he's a dick even though he's an angel and he doesn't bother to be any different, he definetelly has his own set of rules he follows and I believe he would be a Chaotic Good just like me. He's well made. And as much as he is pretty unlikeable, the mystery, the questions, the fact that he has always been the same we just didn't get to interact with him much to see it, to have a naturally asshole character put down some of his walls to help us even if part out of possible self interest. And of course he's also fun. Simeon is charming, and I have come to appreciate all of him.

#10 | Luke

A kid. A brat and a tsundere. I Absolutely love the character development and it's extremelly adorable. He's now officially our guardian angel and I love that. He was just a prick that I rolled my eyes so hard whenever I encountered him in the game and now he's just a lil' bratty brother that is fun to tease and squish the cheeks off. He's a really nice kid in the end, just previously ignorant, but still nice because he was willing to learn and change despise saying he didn't want to. I personally can understand Luke as I was pretty alike as a kid. Again, he's a nice kid I would gladly buy some balloons and cotton candy for.

#9 | Barbatos

The number 1 buttler, he's just, a good dude l o l. He has his distance from everyone due to his position but that doesn't make him any less interesting. He is mysterious and powerful and yet he feels, so chill. He's also fun and actually has a pretty soft personality in which he knows exactly when to switch off to strict. He's a character I respect and wish existed in real life so I could be friends with (╥﹏╥).

#8 | Solomon

Shady sorcerer is actually a pretty good guy though mildly insane. He is actually responsable (and takes it pretty seriously seeing he's basically the representative of the human realm). He's kind though again, mildly insane, and diligent. He may have terrible food but the fact he does it with good intentions is pretty adorable, he just likes to follow his instincts and be spontaneous because he likes new and exciting things. He probably has quite a bit of angst to him due to his not only immortality in not aging but also by not being able to be killed but even so it feels that, contrary to how many human immortals end, he still hasn't lost the light in his eyes and can still enjoy things and enjoy being alive, and that is most likely thanks to other immortal/long living beings such as demons.

#7 | Lucifer

Yep. Lucifer is actually a really fucking great character, he's fond of his family, hard worker to the point of destroying himself, self punisher, elegant, pretty af, cute at times. But not exactly my most favorable cup of tea. Seeing I can see through his bullshit all his posessiveness, all his pettiness, all his actions just becomes ridiculous and annoying. And theres also a problem with the fact we always end up submiting to him, I don't want that. For every time he disrespects me I want him to kneel and kiss my feet. His pride collides with my own, and his decisions do too. But even so he is very reliable and so he has my respect for that, I do want to hug him and tell him he deserves nice things and that he can rest now this is not the war anymore you don't have to bow down to anyone anymore you didn't doom your brothers but freed them instead, but then again he makes bad decisions because he has zero braincells for emotional intelligence and that pisses me off and makes me just want to yeet him off a cliff. Yeah Lucifer, I would gladly kick you in the balls with ♡°.•love•.°♡.

#6 | Leviathan

Surprising is it not? But it's true, I often focus on Levi due to him not only being pretty alike to me but also because he's related to many things I have been familiar with since I was born: animes and games. His anxiousness is relatable, the outcastness is relatable, the awkwardness is relatable, the obsession is relatable, the references are relatable, the infodumping is relatable. He's very relatable to me, but not my most favorite, and all because of his envy. He's a guilt tripper, and though I am long immune to it in real life due to extreme exposure to it from my family, it still is enough for his rank to go down. I still love him though, but mostly as the character that represents the thing I am most familiar with in life: myself.

#5 | Beelzebub

Big puppy, he's the type of guy who will talk to plants. He has big and strong hands that could crush anything and yet he will do his best to handle some things gently. He's chill and non judgemental, loyal to the core. Once you win him over, you win him over, he would die for you. He is purposely childish at times and it's cute. He is amazing. I wish I could enjoy eating like he does. He's the only character I truly feel hurt for, as he is deeply inflicted by survivor's guilt and it just pains me I can't comfort him because he isn't real ಥ‿ಥ

#4 | Belphegor

Hoh boy. The brat. The fandom itself is pretty divided on their liking of Belphie and it's understandable lol. But I personally understand Belphie. To hide hurt behind anger, hate and spite, to turn to agression to prove a point but you end up just fucking up. But the guilt and wish to fix things can lead one to giving themselves up, and so it becomes a constant battle of getting close but not too close for the sake of both parties involved. I get this boy more than I wish I ever did, and that's why he's high on the ranking. And because he's cute ngl.

#3 | Satan

H o h b o y, another one that reminds me of myself, only it's the aftermath of the above where one bottles up all their negative feelings because being emotional is not being rational and who the fuck even wants to not be rational. Where you have no fucking idea who you are because all you know is to stomp your feet and scream for the sake of making an statement but that just proved all your enemies a point so now you turn to smarts to prove yourself. To make others angry, to make them frustrated and infuriated with your knowledge because you want to prove yourself, be reconized for who you are, to be someone and also, hopefully, change other people's ways, to make them understand they are wrong because you deep down actually want to get along with them. Yeah, Satan is high on the list, and it's also because he likes detectives uwu.

What a fucking icon he is I love him okay. It frustrates me when people use cheating as a angst prompt for him as he's obviously someone who just isn't made for monogamy, and he's pretty honest and I feel he would have nothing to hide and would talk it all out with all his partners. He's a sweetheart that works hard on daily basis and hour after hour to mantain an image, he likes the attention, he wants to be loved. If anyone mildly self centered ever told me 'I love you as much as I love myself' I would marry them on spot. Asmo is just incredibly sweet and I love all his affection and respect him for all the work he does to make a good impression and look up to that self confidence even though most of it is actually just him trying to convince himself. Also perfect example off gender is an ilusion lol.

Yep, our number 1, The Great Mammon, the most lovable dumbass that has been by our side from the start though with a bit of whining. This man is perfect. He has incredible self control over his powers, and as someone who used to be an angel to be able to use money all you want bro. I wouldn't feel bad either. He's our protector from start to end to the point he focuses on us instead of the queen in the Dame event. He isn't stupid just has selective focus just like me! And all the people with ADHD and many other neurodivergents. When he wants something he does is perfectly and diligently, he just needs the right push at the right time. He's the most good of all demons and even angels and he loves all his brothers deeply, he is always there to support everyone to the point of even allowing himself to be the punching bag for the sake of them not turning too much on one another. He was literally our first SSR card, our first call, our first pact, our first and the best. He IS great, truly.

In My main Miyuno Universe, Miyuno is dating each of the brothers so I will be using the Main Love tag for each lol, but I'll break it down further.

Lucifer - Loves, has a more professional relationship where they go on dinner dates and have planned sexual encounters, Miyuno tries to be spontaneous with gifts and intimacy and Lucifer tries to do the same.

Mammon - Loves, more of a frantic infatuation, they pull the other from the house at all hours of the day, considering it a date whenever they're together. Miyuno likes to tease Mammon with compliments to fluster him and constantly showers him in love and casual PDA.

Leviathan - Loves, a careful romance. They are slow to start every new thing, but when the moments finally occur they happen often afterwards, usually at Levi's pace. Miyuno will approach certain topics with Levi, but will let Levi take the lead and choose when he's ready. Quiet nights in together and dates consiting of just existing in the same room

Satan - Loves, A warm kind of love, they schedule their dates weeks in advance and make grand times of them. Cat cafes, pet shop browsing, library visits, and even trips to the movie theater all have prepared plans. Satan is worried of boring Miyuno but Miyuno constantly lets him know that he loves hearing every single word Satan has to say.

Asmodeus - Loves, Unexpectedly tame and more on the emotional side than the physical. They do self care together: baths, letting out their emotions, cuddling, and sweet nothings between them. Surprise each other with lingerie, candles, perfumes, and clothes that make them think of the other. Shopping trips do turn into makeout sessions in the changing room, but that's not all it is. They both have other lovers and look to each other for calmness and comfort.

Beelzebub - Loves, the average teenage romance you'd think would happen. Cafe dates, arcade dates, buffets, pizza joints, walking in the park. Miyuno tries to help Beel with his hunger, often planning several food stops on their excursions even if the main point is a movie or clothes shopping. Miyuno doesn't know how to cook, but he will help Beel in the kitchen as much as he can. A ton of PDA whenever one or the other is in the mood.

Belphegor - Loves, an expected chill kind of love. If Beel isn't around then their dates include laying around, sleeping, napping, and making out in quiet spots. When they do go out, Belphie hangs off of Miyuno, not so much being possessive as he is just craving that closeness. Miyuno enjoys it.

Diavolo - Respects, He enjoys Diavolo's company and goes over for tea as often as he can. They text occaisionally but Miyuno makes sure that he doesn't get distracted too much from his work.

At this point tumblr decided to refresh and delete all of what I had written beneath :( I'm rewriting from here to Taxike but I'm annoyed and so won't go into as much detail.

Barbatos - Respects, Fears, Miyuno enjoys Barbatos's company and often accompanies him to pastry shops and the grocery store. But Miyuno knows what hides behind Barbatos's hand. When they have quiet moments together, sipping their tea, it can feel like they are the only two in the entire three realms, and that is a terrifying feeling. Miyuno does not know what goes on behind Barbatos's smile.

[With Angels]

Simeon - Close Friend, Miyuno has taken it upon himself to (with Luke and Solomon) Help Simeon with his texting skills. He makes sure to have at least one conversation with Simeon each day and attempts to challenge him with requests for photos or links to webpages. Simeon is Miyuno's first choice in school projects.

Luke - Loves (platonically, familially) Luke is like the little brother Miyuno never had. He adores the little angel and would put himself into danger to protect him. Luke is often invited on his trips with Barbatos.

Michael - Indifferent, Miyuno honestly does not care about the Archangel. If he's not the topic of conversation, Miyuno does not even remember he exists. He is vaguely interested in the person Luke holds so dear and looks up to, but he isn't particularly enthused to learn more.

Taxike- (Adding my own ocs since they interact in certain versions) Friends, Miyuno enjoys Taxike's energy but can't always keep up. He indulges the Angel from time to time in his tricks and pranks on Lucifer but will mainly advise against anything that could get him killed. They have never argued.

[With Humans]

Solomon - Friend to Close Friend, its funny that the two of them never bonded until Miyuno returned to the Human world. They would meet up often and Miyuno became dependent on the access to what was through Solomon. Even once returning to the Devildom, Solomon had become much closer to Miyuno. They often study together and Solomon helps Miyuno learn spells and talismans even if he cannot use them alone.

Kie- (oc) Close Friends, Upon being brought to the Devildom they instantly attached at the hip. Miyuno trusts Kie with his fears and Dysphoria and Kie trusts Miyuno with the truth about his chronic pain and anger issues. At first it was hard to find one without the other, but as they warmed up to the brothers they branched out. They still often sleep in each others rooms.

So cool”) or if you REALLY wanted to Risk (???) using them as actual Tarot cards (Sadly I can’t sell tarot cards so go find a site, they’re gonna be hella expensive though ^^’ at least the images are free!). Obey Me Devilgram Posts and Comments: Cue the Music!/Escape From the House of Lamentation!

I’m kind of surprised they figured out four different cards about finding yourself stuck somehow lol, but this was a fun event to look back on to get these cards done.  Ahh, I remember when I used to actually get the SSR because I wasn’t so burnt out and could actually force myself to log on every day :’)

Anyway, I’m glad the translations have been reasonably easy again, but I’m also afraid that it’s going to build up into negative karma and I’ll end up with a section where Levi hacks into his brothers’ accounts and writes every single comment.

1. むぎゅっと (mugyutto) is a combination between むぎゅ (squeezing) and ぎゅっと ([hold] tightly).  From what I understand, it has a more cutesy feel to it than just ぎゅっと alone, more holding something too big for your hand so you gotta squeeze it a little. 2. Mammon uses コエー (koee) here, which is slang for the standard 怖い (kowai).  Remember to not mix up kawaii and kowai lol 3. Soft as in pliant or easily stretched, but I wanted to use a word that people actually use and I don’t think I’ve ever said pliant before.  I know the translation is “flexible” but that also sounded weird for cheeks imo 4. Next up on “Mammon teaches you slang for scary”, you can also drop the i and just say “kowa.”  There’s a っ at the end to indicate that the word was supposed to keep going. 5.  Lucifer: hey can I copy your homework? ;; Solomon: yeah but cut some parts out I want a higher grade than you

Gosh it must suck for both Sol and his supernatural friends for him to have human memory. Hurtful and sad stuff just happens unintentionally and there’s not really much they can do about it—either Solomon gets reminded of how his memories are fucked or his friends just quietly go with a white lie every time he misremembers something. Sorta makes me think about how a human companion would really complete him because they can mess up remembering things together hskjgshfkjg but that’s also a little sad?

The magic in OM seems so… flexible? That there’s gotta be some way for him to retrieve those memories somehow, but it depends on how you’d write the rules for mind magic with your take. Lucifer can erase memories at will, so maybe the more powerful demons could do something for him? Though uh it seems like he’s not really on good “can you do this major favor for me” terms with the top three aside from Barb and idk if Barb can do memory magic since he can do time magic. It’s gotta balance out, right? Idk :( I wanna believe there’s hope for him.

At most I can imagine him having a little library in his home that’s full of journals preserved with the most effective iteration of a preservation spell he can muster. He’s just gotta make sure nothing happens that the spell doesn’t cover, and that the spell never fades without him realizing it.

(Then I guess there’s just… the pain of knowing and remembering what he can never have/experience again things from the past again? It’s kinda just a loop of hurt for him tbh he really seems like he’s got a soft heart deep down so that no it just aches in the worst way to exist as an immortal no matter what he does to hold on to everything.)

I'm sure there's something to be said about how human nature is just the essence of being temporary (at least, for most people in the OM universe it seems). It's not always a negative thing - it helps humans be more ambitious, live to the fullest and progress quickly - but when you no longer fit into the very specific mold we've built to cater to that, there really is no place designed for you to fit in....

Obey Me had like 2 and a half magic rules, maybe, but to me it just seems like magic that could just....restore memories seems like cheating. Maybe there's like a library of memories and Solomon managed to piss off the archivist more than he did the reaper 🤷‍♀️ he has a habit for doing that lol, you're on the right track....

But damn!!!! He really does just have such a sweet soft heart and immortality just wrecks it 😭 that last part of your ask makes me so sad because its TRUE
