Goin into detail ‘bout noncanon “backstory”shit

usually I would just put this in discord but 1. It has a word limit and 2. I need to post here more. yapping under the cut

ok first things first, where I grew up:

I lived in some Ready Player One type of trailer park. Huge metal cargo boxes stacked on top of each other and heaps of metal and trash were all around the “neighborhood”. I think it was on some sort of bay (or port, I forgot the word)? Thats the only way I can really explain the cargo boxes, plus I vividly remember the smell of the ocean and being able to dig for clams and crab.

My family was small but since the “houses” were so close together the other kids in the port were practically my siblings. I had…2 older brothers I think? The number and age keeps getting mixed up in my mind, but I only ever played with the kids in the family next to us, they were 2 twins and they had 3 sisters I think. They were a bit younger than me but I liked having the big brother role.

My parents and aunts weren’t…the best guardians ever, I don’t remember mich about them but I do remember a bunch of moments where me and my siblings were denied food because “we didn’t have enough”. I won’t dwell on that part too much because my dads sister was amazing, she took a lot of the kids in the port to aquariums and even the other districts.

I vaguely remember how I got my metal arm. I think me and a couple other siblings were running away from the port, our families, by jumping onto a train and I missed the car by an inch and got it stuck on something, which ripped it off blah blah. I don’t remember exactly who i went to when I got the prosthetic though. Maybe Chris or someone in the pink district

i have so many questions like?? why did he get so angry??? did laxus break a rule that enraged him?? like maybe threatening the safety of others??? did freed give laxus a good fight?? were bixlow and evergreen involved at this point??? and what does that mean freed only wanted laxus for his strength???? elaborate??????

Thoughts on Gravity Falls fandom for no reason

I genuinely love watching the Gravity Falls fandom now. Like I cannot put into words how much the humor there has changed my brain chemistry. I feel bad for my buddy Lucid, because they've had to hear and see all these dumb memes.

I don't ship anyone, I don't really have any of that in mind. I just keep looking at the guys and going "THATS SO ME! Wait, that's probably not good" especially because it's FORD. GET OUT, OLD MAN. And Dipper, who I just like as a character better.

So Stan is for sure my favorite old man. Like every reason points to him being the best in my eyes with my stupid little brain. But Ford is just there. I've drawn Ford a handful of times. And Stan? ZERO. ITS A CRIME AND IM UPSET

Watching y'all fight over stuff is really funny btw keep it up please it entertains the simpletons who don't fully get it like me

The art, god the art is so freaking amazing. I WISH I could draw like you lot, the expression and just. Emotions. Ough. So good, I love it. Another note about the art, I can see little bits of the Gravity Falls style in every fanart. It brings me joy to notice.

1. i am EXCEPTIONALLY proud of the 'stillborn' passage. the whole 'aging backwards' idea is one thats always lived in my head since i was a kid and it felt so good to finally put it to paper. the passage about how davey stores words for people is also a favourite, though heavily inspired by alys conrans 'pigeon'. im also quite fond of the group scene at jacobis before jack shows up - i wasnt previously, but the response to it has made me appreciate it a lot more. and i really love all of florences scenes, she is SO fun to write. as for what im looking forward to, there is obviously going to be a conversation between florence and davey about what happened, and im very excited for yall to see it - pairing florences absolute no-nonsense, say-it-like-it-is mentality with daveys avoidant tendencies makes for a very fun dynamic that doesnt let davey run away from the problem anymore. im also very excited for the inevitable conversation between jack and davey, and - no spoilers - a few domestic scenes that come after in the epilogue. its comforting to write davey as a person again.

2. fun facts about florence! her parents are middle-class progressives who are readying her to take a position in her fathers publishing business, hence why florence doesnt see any problems in a potential courtship with davey; neither she nor her parents think it necessary for her to marry a wealthy, providing man, just one with good intentions. she has a cat named Chief Mouser Percival (or just sir percy for short, but you must remember the sir or he gets quite upset); when she was a little girl though, she had a worm-heap in the garden who she considered her pets. her favourite book is jane eyre, and while she finds mr rochester far too byronic for her tastes, she is eager to find the benedick to her beatrice, someone who is able to challenge her with intellectual argument. while she is in the privileged position of not being pressured to marry, and while she does know that a relationship is not the be-all-end-all for her, she does have a lot of insecurity around being just a bit too off for anyone to really like her - she knows shes right, she knows shes allowed to demand a good life for herself and advocate for her wants and wishes, she knows being a girl doesnt make her property, but it gets quite lonely when everyone around you acts like thats ridiculous. given that davey was more on her wavelength than anyone she'd met before, she's taking the whole situation quite hard. they will discuss things and bury the hatchet and florence will get her appreciation! just. not quite yet. everyone's suffering at this point.

saki tenma. ough i habe so many words about her.

she is so strong. she lost her entire childhood to the hospital, she lost her friends, sometimes she’d wish she would never wake up in the morning. only ichika came to visit, and even then that was rare. yet

she still went into highschool with a determination and a spring in her step. despite shiho and honami never visiting she had no ill will towards them going back into school qnd i think thats an interesting aspect about her. she knew the hospital was far away from where they lived sure but i would not doubt that at least once she thought “ichika is here, why cant they be too?” yet going back into school instead of just leaving them because they chose to split from ichika and herself she was determined to bring them back together and i think thats so lovely of her.

i can sympathise with her a bit too. no, i wasnt hospitalized my entire childhood, but sometimes i wish i had it back. sometimes i feel like it was robbed from me at the hands of those two. but this isnt about me, i just understand how saki feels. you wish and wish that you could have it back, to change the course of fate, but theres no way. what i admire about her is that instead of sulking about it she takes advantage of it. she has her 100 things i want to do list, shes jumping at every chance she gets and i thihk thats also great of her.

i alsp like how she doesnt let her sickness define her. someyimes the conversation will turn into her hospital days or how shes feeling but shes quick to change the topic becaude thats not all she is and i thihi the fandom shpuld realise that too. i saw this one post and i think about it a lot. “i cant relate to saki i havent been hospitalized that much” while yes its a big part of her character she is so much more than that. you can relate to her determination, her bubbliness, her kindess, her strength. you can relate to her childhood being robbed from her, you can relate to the situation with her friends, and you can also relate to her determination to keep going.

saki is such an interesting character to me and i think she’s overlooked a lot. there just something about her; constantly shes so bubbly and happy and bouncy that you have to wonder if theres something under that mask, that maybe those bright sparkling eyes really do hold an abyss of memories. it also makes you wonder that maybe that abyss isnt completly endless, maybe there’s something at the bottom. maybe theres something at the bottom of your abyss, too.

Oh, thinking about it, I like to think that loopified mari has kind of just, completely dropped all pretense of trying to be perfect and it's more ... Abrasive? Not that Mari is Secretly Mean / Evil or anything obviously, but she's just so exhausted with performing perfection that it's overcorrected and now just basically doesn't really (or cares to have) have a filter anymore.

Your assessment of Tigerclaw is spot-on. I would say he THINKS he thinks of himself as a normal, good husband and warrior who's doing his best and having a humble life. There's only so real that can be when he also has the constant thought of "I am the only one who sees the truth and I need to Fix Things because no one else can". He thinks he's so much more honest and realistic than he is. You know people like that. I know people like that. The most dangerous person is one that can fool themselves.

SO. im sorry ahead of time that this will get longwinded and probably not gonna make a lot of sense but i have A LOT of thoughts regarding this whole situation

so this has been a very common thing to discuss in my dms ever since the shades of the best friends betrayal started when trent and oc entered into the tag team tournament (also shoutout to bugs for dealing with my shit constantly cause i know i can be unhinged ough), and what we dubbed as savior!kip has become a very intense hope in this storyline so... yeah ive been thinking about this possibility a lot ngl

im gonna put the rest of this under the cut cause lmao yeah. im gonna go off the rails

i wanna start this by saying that while i do want chuck to come back, im specifically hoping that he'll come back to team with trent again and to torment oc, that all of this has been one big ruse to see if oc really is their best friend or not (spoilers: hes not. trent is right about everything he said dont @ me). and oc is slowly starting to lack friends; seeing how things are going, things with kris arent that great. shibata and hook have their hands full with so many other things. rocky is obviously siding with trent, even if he doesnt say it directly out loud but roppongi vice forever basically, and the rest of chaos is mostly in japan (and okada is evil now so...). danhausen basically doesnt exist anymore. everyone oc has had around him has slowly disappeared, for one reason or another

so where does that leave us, exactly? you turn to the other side (or more in this case, the other side turns towards you to help out)

kip has been critical on twitter about the don callis family, and basically saying he would never join them due to disrespect from don. and we all know how much kip loves and cares about oc (i dont have to proof this to you you have seen all the sweet tweets and other stuff. this man used to use the kissy face emoji frequently while tweeting at or about oc come on now), so seeing these two words colliding would probably not sit very well with him, i'd imagine. while someone could argue that kip has lost interest in oc since he has dropped the title and thats all that was ever about...

first of all, the "sweet little clementine" nickname has been used multiple times throughout the timeline. this wasnt just a mind game trick to get into ocs head during the title feud, it was in there way way before that ever happened (i believe we are talking about full gear 2020 if i recall my timelines right [its around 3 hours and 9 minutes]); he has always been affectionate about oc in a really weird way (hes british tho so thats probably why). second, how many times has kip been after anyone else between ocs title reigns and after? exactly zero. when mox and fenix were champs, he didnt say a peep (he did, whoever, put out my favorite tweet of all time when oc lost the title to mox). after oc gained the title, he started tweeting again about it. and again when oc lost it, not a word. kip hasnt said anything about the international title or rodney since then; the only time he did post, he told rodney to fuck off cause clementine was his. and since then? kip has been keeping an eye on the best friends feud so... do whatever you wish with that information (1, 2, 3)

the point is, the obsession was NOT with the title; hes just always been affectionate about and towards oc, but in a really weird and obsessive, kind of a destructive way

why is this necessary to bring up? well...

do you really think he would stand idly to the side to watch oc align himself with someone like don callis when all his other friends have abandoned him, all these things considered?

do i need to remind you of something? cause i will remind you of my favorite post

throughout this entire time, kip never gave up (im aware this is technically non-canon as this is a quote from stream but. if you know their history over on twitch, it counts. the feud bled over there during its prime too). yes this technically had everything to do with him tearing ocs friends away from him when this was posted, but.. dont you think its fitting tho? considering the situation oc is in now? and while yes it might seem that kip is taking the side of trent in this whole thing, this was specifically before don callis inserted himself into the situation by whispering whatever the hell into ocs ear

and what better time and way for kip to insert himself back into ocs life as the one person he can still rely on than right here and right now, when oc is so desperate for a connection and friendship that he'll take don callis of all people?

if we want to dig more into my personal observations, kip has never felt as respected or perceived as he did/does when hes across the ring from oc. this feud was the highlight of his career since the comeback (and arguably, his [and miros] feud with the best friends ending with arcade anarchy was the other, so these two have always been connected more or less), its the one thing people keep talking about in reference to him apart from the box; how he should have been the one taking the title from him, how kip should have been elevated from that point forward too. how people talk about him almost only when he has faced oc in the ring afterwards (which has been at least three times if i recall right from the top of my head) or had a chance to challenge again for that title before oc lost it entirely

so what is the conclusion i wanna draw from this? kip keeps bringing him up. he keeps on leeching on him. he wants that attention off of oc, but also from oc. and what better way to do that than to now befriend him, show him support, be there for him when everyone else has abandoned him?

except its not entirely malicious. it might start as such, but its definitely mutually beneficial, more so than intended; sure maybe kip takes the chance to get to oc when hes down and vulnerable, but theres also that high chance that he'll see he can actually help. kip can help pull oc back up and help rebuild him. kip can be useful and important in this equation too, not just oc (which.. its gonna show kips true colors tbh. considering how kip treats oc as a whole, but he was taking trents side earlier about everything when best friends broke apart so...)

i think this is enough of me rambling, so im gonna get to the point of the ask lmao; but yeah, while i'd love for chuck to come back, i dont think he needs to be the one to uncorrupt oc from under kips spell. cause there wont be a spell to begin with. while yes it might start more or less as a corrupting relationship if they got to tag together with oc, i dont think ultimately it would be harmful to him. just like kip would be there to be supportive of oc, eventually he would return the favor by helping kip flourish, like he has done more indirectly in the past. they are mutually beneficial to one another, for better or worse maybe, but its not going to lead oc down a dark path in my opinion. if anything, oc is uncorruptable at this point (especially without the belt but i feel like that story has completely died by now with roddy holding the title so im not going to touch that rn), and him getting love and support from someone genuine, although surprising in this case, it would just make him more likely to return that favor than to turn against it. what i mean is, oc would be the one to uncorrupt kip, if anything

I miss the first maze stream!

It was so funny, I remember dying laughing while i was watching them argue, and it was new and exciting and seemed like an Actual lead on the eggs and we weren't sat just waiting anymore, and even though in the end it wasnt really any help (or at least not that first day) the whole wheel thing was fascinating too! Tubbo sacrificing himself for the eggs and in the process being terrified that he'd killed Chayanne symbolically and phil would kill him

I feel like we never really got roier and tubbo interactions that much again and they were so funny with charlie!!!

Also the way everyone rushed to tell Cellbit as soon as word spread a bit more... ough i miss ordem theoritas with cellbit being told Everything constantly

And the map! When they told cellbit about the maze and he went 'oh yeah i found a map of that' and you could feel them dying inside after running aimlessly through that thing for hours

Honsstly thats probably kinda why i always liked the maze, even when it couldn't tell us anything new and people got frustrated. The nostalgia from that first stream was always in the background

-No wonder a lot of scythes (esp young ones in the new order are bloodthirsty, it’s this cycle of encouragement and being exempt from the rules of society, sure the older scythes preach about gleaning with honor but when you’re young, especially around citra and rowan’s age, you’d be hard-pressed to listen and be much more interested in the bloodsports of Goddard. That’s how he gets you!!!

-Also as someone who has started journaling my scythe journal would be UNREADABLE I have AWFUL handwriting

-Killing 5 people a week, and 260 a year is INSANE!! Again it’s no wonder a lot of scythes are so desensitized to this shit, and even revel in it, you kind of have to, just for your own sanity

-GOD you can FEEL his guilt of having to choose between these 4 people!! How horrible and awful he feels to take their lives away as he learns more UGH

okok so i think its really funny how much theyre complete fuckin opposites ( with the person they dance with ) .

and yk . scc are energetic smooth and silly . its in their check dialogue . stated outright

real interesting thing about capn and ralseis that isnt really important . . theyre both an adjective referring to a personality trait and a surface

ummm ill just go through them in sccs order . soooo,,, sweet / kris, cap / ralsei , and k_k / susie

sorry if this doesnt make sense im bad with words .

sweet / kris . . . . so much to say . mainly about sweet .

kris isnt shown to have much of a personality atleast in game ... which makes like a lot of sense considering they dont have free will for most of them . all we reaaally know is that theyre an introvert . theyre described as not being very energetic by tori, rarely ever waking up on time for school, usually sleeping through the start of class, and preferring tori drive them to school rather then walk . noelle also makes a comment about how kris isnt usually so talkative when you select the "anything" option in the hospital and as previously mentioned, theyre described as a quiet person

sweet on the other hand, is literally "the energetic one" . their movements are a lot more exaggerated and bouncier then the others, their way of speaking is a lot more upbeat then the others, and theyre the one who follows you around for ( most of ) cyber field ,,, they also have the most dialogue out of the 3 and are real passionate about their interests, being the most into the whole rebellion thing and likely being the one who started it all . they also use multiple exclamation marks in most sentences as a way of showing how enthusiastic they are about most things !!!!! this is a little small detail i noticed but.... they r also slightly off sync with the others whenever you ask them to play a song 4 you .

cap / ralsei,,,,,,, capsei shippers dee en eye you guys are weird

ough . i have so little to say about ralsei im sorry ralsei fans . ok anyways

ralsei is "the nice one" of the group i think . he tries to convince you to spare everyone, hes generally the most polite, and is maybe the tiniest bit naive in chapter 1, having to learn by the end that he cant trust everyone . even though hes nice, hes never exactly shown to be cowardly unlike most "nice" characters !!! he doesnt stand down to most enemies and is generally a lot less scared of . actual life threatening situations then a teenager should be .

cap'n on the other hand,,, is . the reason the game got a higher rating in japan because he says a statue looks like shit . capn is,,, from what ive seen, the least liked of the trio for coming off as rude in a lot of his dialogue ( hes just some guy i think ) . hes the most upfront about thinking you helped kidnap noelle, mocking you and making comments about it all throughout the first part of the game ( even trying to scam you because of it !!! ) . he also talks in a less formal way then ralsei does and makes several comments that are accidentally taken as flirty towards noelle ( hes just a little bit of a dumbass hes not a p/do . . targetted i see you freaks ) . hes basically shown to be willing to do anything if it benefits him and the others, trying to scam, trick, and appeal towards girls in an attempt to earn more money . hes also not a fan of fighting, and is reffered to as a coward by sweet for not really wanting to fight physically, even suggesting towards the start of the fight to just wait for other bad guys to come around . hes silly i love capn he reminds me of my best friend

cakes / susie .... i have so much to say about k_k you have no idea so many people get his character entirely wrong and it pisses me off . infact im breaking the pattern and starting with him because i have very little to say about susie and also fuck you

k_k is, in every way, kind of a doormat . they let people shortchange them, purposefully try and make themselves shorter to be less intimidating, and dont really wanna cause any trouble like at all . they try and make themselves sillier so they arent perceived as some sort of threat or something to be scared of ( considering theyre like 10ft tall . i did the math hes like 7 in his sprite and based on nelnals art, like 10'2 ) . hes the exact opposite of susie in every way !! k_k is tall and tries to make himself more approachable, giving you bagels for free if you dont have the money, trying to appeal to everyone by never really giving sweet or capn an answer that supports eithers argument, and just,, generally being a lot more polite then the other 2, despite the others best efforts . theyre also the first to try and cheer sweet up after they lose their battle, saying that they won because their dancing was better !!! a lot of trying to be smaller and appear as less mature likely comes from a place of anxiety,, as they only ever really speak whenever spoken to directly, try to stay on everyones good side, and have the least amount of dialogue out of the 3 by, like, 10%, most times them speaking being short, straightforward answers rather then them talking unprovoked

susie is,, kind of a smaller person trying to make herself seem bigger and scarier . she puts on a tough persona and is an asshole to most people who arent her friends, getting aggressive whenever people she perceives as threats bother her or the others and being a lot snarkier then the other 2 . towards ralsei and kris shes,, still pretty aggressive but its more in a playful way . she teases them often and is the only reason ralsei and her ever get an act option, because she points out how theyre not dumb and they can act by themselves . shes,, pretty much just any teenager with her friends

scc also think of themselves as the main characters . they make a constant attempt to act as so, trying to fight the fun gang because they think they helped the queen kidnap noelle, but in the end they just arent ,,, enough .

the fun gang r kinda just. kids who probably just wanna be kids but Cant because they kinda have this whole prophecy thing on their backs (susie and kris especially) and didnt really . choose to be the main guys .

i think,,, them being opposites is also a huge reason why scc being adults is so important to me . of course you can hc them as any age !!! but thinking of them as kids because theyre immature is,,,, boring as fuck . making them adults ties in a lot more with all of these opposites . thinking of them as adults who never really grew up would act as a sort of antithesis to the fun gang being teenagers who r growing up a little too fast and its soo... fun to play with . its fun to explore why they never matured like a lot of other people or if theyre just a little immature naturally !! theyre silly and theyre fun and theyre so entertaining to me i wanna put them under a microscope and study them ...

scc being adults who never grew up and the fun gang being teenagers who r growing up too fast is so fun to me i think . scc try so desperately to be the "main characters" . to be important . to be those guys . while the fun gang didnt even really try !!!! kris and susie just wanted to get chalk and got sucked into a huge prophecy thing in a world they didnt even know existed and i just . idk this is probably incomprehensible at this point sorry . i jusy think the fact theyre opposites is really fun and i dont think enough people notice it

tldr kris is quiet and introverted , sweet is energetic and ( likely ) loud judging from how they talk

ralsei is nice but not timid or cowardly at all, while a lot of capns dialogue is accidentally rude and hes literally called a coward ingame,

and susie tries to make herself bigger and scarier while k_k wants to be viewed as non-threatening and friendly as possible
