heehee hoohoo. nobody ask me about this au (?) my brain is mush i cant put it into words, ask @thedemonscrawler @crazedauthor and @shirajellyfish , this is their fault!!! this is nothing official lmao we were just throwing around ideas about like;;; moon thinking of being the daycare attendant as a "role," because he's an actor, but instead he's sticking more with the role he knows.... a villain! :D and y/n helps him figure that out somehow???
THE IMPORTANT THING
is that basically, y/n does cute little skits with sun and moon, because they like to act, they are!!! actors! its what they were built for. and eventually the dca catches feelings and hmmmm why do they love doing these scenes with y/n as the love interest so much HMMMM. unfortunately for them y/n is STUPID <3 moon has plans tho
#fnaf sb#fnaf dca#moon x y/n#sun x y/n#fnaf daycare attendant#fnaf sun#fnaf moon#fnaf au#UNOFFICIAL#WE WERE JUST THROWING ADOUND HEADCANONS THERE IS NO PLOT#OR OVERARCHING ANYTHING#JUST GOOFING AROUND#idk if there will ever be anything more i draw for it SO!!#enjoy this comic pls <3#funky little jester boys#stream art#comic#fnaf comic#my art

what's the threshold theory
There was a post about how Tom is the only crew member who isn't really affected by the Borg, and there's a theory that he has so much luck because he saw the past and the future when he crossed the transwarp threshold. He saw the past and the future, all of time and space. There's some subconscious part of him that remembers that experience. In fact, Tom refused to play a part in Chakotay indulging Annorax's temporal incursions, probably because a part of him knew nothing good could come of it.
If we extend that same theory to Janeway, some of her wild luck with time travel and other crack plans starts to make sense. She doesn't verbally hate time travel until after the events of Threshold, since it happens in Time and Again without complaint. Janeway has an uncanny knack for time travel, as evidenced every time she deals with it. She hates time travel, but it might be because part of her knows exactly how to manipulate the timeline. She manages to avoid the "inevitable" temporal explosion in Future's End, saving both Voyager and Braxton. She resets the entire timeline in Year of Hell, and no one else followed her reasoning. She pulled it off flawlessly. In Relativity, she senses the incidents are all related, despite it being just one reading that connects them. By the time she's involved, she has a temporal incursion factor of .0036 and a time travel protocol named after her, even if that may just be Braxton's personal grudge. Then there's Endgame, where she intentionally changes the timeline. Up until this point, she has been dragged into time travel, but for the first time, she jumps in on purpose. How does Admiral Janeway know how to get them home sooner in a way that completely avoids the Temporal Integrity Commission? It's because she has seen all of time, and part of her knows exactly what needs to happen so she can get Voyager home and do it in a way that becomes baked into the prime timeline. Maybe she doesn't consciously remember what happened during her transformation, but the experience lives in her mind somewhere, guiding her decisions.
#every day is threshold day#tldr threshold cemented the time travel shenanigans#we're not counting her disparagement of time travel in relativity i know it's technically before threshold#but they've messed with the timeline so much that her past timeline is also changed.#Time travel is funny because the past is the future the future is the past#so while relativity comes before threshold in the prime timeline her timeline has also been changed in a way that it wasn't before threshol#we could chalk it up to a writing oversight but this is more interesting#not to mention her uncanny luck with the Borg which I think ties in as well#it's part of why her instinct is so strong#also the bio neural gel packs but that's a different theory#listen she's amazing with or without having seen all of time and space but she has seen all of time and that must have affected her somehow#those little salamander babies also have all of the cosmos in their mind#tried to explain as concisely as possible but it is part of my overarching theory#she doesn't second guess herself nearly as much following their jaunt into transwarp#I have more but I'm trying to be brief cause it's written up partially in my drafts somewhere and i have some things i need to do today lol#meta#Star Trek voyager#Kathryn janeway#threshold day#did you expect me thresholdbb to not have a serious threshold theory?#listen I can make anything nonsense and turn anything into a serious theory I was known for this kinda bs in grad school#I wrote a 25 page paper on NOTHING once#I wrote a paper about how corn fields were super gay and it made my professor cry I can spin the bullshit it is one of my skills

Senior Indah: Do you have any experience solving murders?
Murderbot: .......... Yes.
#murderbot#the murderbot diaries#fugitive telemetry#tmd#I'm kind of obsessed with Fugitive Telemetry being just a straight up murder mystery.#(for the sake of honesty I did decide to read it before Network Effect because I knew chronologically it happened before it)#And as much as it is a bit separated from the overarching plot of the series I love getting to see Murderbot working with other people#who arent the Pres Crew as itself and not pretending to be anything else in a much lower stakes scenario than in Network Effect and beyond

Genuinely hoping Peri's blowup will convince people to give A New Wish a chance honestly it's such a good show
#it somehow captures the magic of the first fairly oddparents seasons while being fresh and new#cosmo and wanda are as amazing as ever and they're once again a very loving married couple we love to see that#they keep mentioning Cosmo's mpreg arc too..........#hazel is a fun protagonist#if anything I'd say she's not miserable enough to have fairies since her life is pretty okay but ehhh we'll see#dev's. development seems really interesting so far#AND OF COURSE COSMO AND WANDA'S DYNAMIC WITH PERI. THEIR SON WHO IS NOW AN ADULT#i wonder if they're gonna ever mention Timmy by name considering Peri was raised alongside him#god Peri is a fun character too#anyway#fairly oddparents#fop#fairly oddparents a new wish#cosmo and wanda#fairly oddparents peri#fop peri#oh yeah not to mention it almost seems like they're cookin some continuity related overarching plot#i already feel strange with the continuity they have so far with almost every episode changing the status quo ever so slightly#it would be fun to see some sorta longer story with these characters#either way its such a comfort show for me right now its so funny and cute

out of curiosity, because i like random statistics and data collection - would anybody be interested if i made a blog in the style of those "do you like this song" blogs except it runs polls on submitted riordanverse ships? like people can submit whatever riordanverse ship and then people vote on it and then we tally up all the stats to see like, fandom's most liked or disliked ship(s), most neutral ships, most voted ships, ships with the best and worst ratios of like-dislike, etc etc.
#pjo#riordanverse#i know this project has the potential to go absolutely horribly. i thought of it when i was ill and actively taking a nap#so know that it arises from a sickly stupor#but i mostly just wanna see the numbers. also i think its just be interesting perspective-wise to see#like we can make some vague assumptions and i have *some* data for nico ships specifically#but we dont have any overarching data for the fandom's opinions as a whole of various ships and that could be fun#i am certain i would get anon hate for it regardless of anything but i wanna see the data! i wanna make a stupid spreadsheet!#i wanna see the weird numbers and statistics of obscure ships! or even more well-known ships!#riordanverse ship polls

i will cashapp $10 to the first person who can name 3 real life harmful things bob bryar did without accusing him of thought crime
#wordvomit#this isnt to say the things he said or thought are good or justifiable- just to point out that he never ACTED on them in any capacity#meanwhile he is being socially prosecuted to the extent as if he has. during such an awful time for his loved ones who are the only ones#who will be exposed to all this hate. possibly including the members of mcr#i understand thinking the things he said are sick and disliking him and being uncomfortable at the discussion but.#i dont understand how you can honestly morally justify half of the stuff people have been saying- like 'he deserved it' and whatnot#without contradicting the 'thoughtcrime isnt real' sentiment i see get thrown around so often ?#isnt the Overarching issue with conservatism as a whole not the idea of . moral purity and puritanism and#'everyone. everything and every idea ontologically different from mine and my communities-#they are objectively worse and i deserve power over them as retribution for what they've done'#ie colonialism. racism. yadda yadda#these are false comparatives bc discrimination based on unchangeable factors vs backlash to opinion is vry different but i still think#the core idea of 'no one who has not enacted harm deserves harm wished on them' kinda shines through it all#and there is a semantic debate to be had about the definition of harm but in this case i am using it to mean anything more Tangible#something that has a wider influence than 'the people who read/heard it were upset and uncomfortable' yea ?#im been waffling about this a lot and why it hasnt been sitting right with me as someone who is incredibly uncomfortable with a lot of his#final statements#it just reminds me so much of my dad and what ive watched him go through#as well as other people in my community during the pandemic#i cant disconnect myself from the humanity of that. especially while condemning him for lacking humanity

I know people like to give Hylia designs a lot of eyes because Christianity™️
But consider instead: Mouths
her statue has only a smile visible
her whole thing is about hearing her voice
Godess Harp + Music
Zelda tends to be capable of telepathic speak in some form
the two games where Links connection to Zelda is important to the plot both put an emphasis on her smiling
her big statues in Skyward Sword straight up mechanically sing
and also: Eyes are Ganon's thing (and by extension Demise)
Also the juxtaposition between the "classic Christian divinity" symbol of eyes on Demise/Ganon and the "classic eldritch being" symbol of mouths on Hylia would be pretty neat
#legend of zelda#the legend of zelda#hylia#also she's based on Amaterasu not Jesus#and idk about everyone else#but the ^christianity with a paint coat^ type of fantasy divinity is lowkey tiring to see#you can do Literally Anything#why not something new#if there's a standin divinity for Courage#that could be Hands methinks#Link being left handed usually#sword has no strengh unless the hand that holds it has courage#the master sword burning unworthy hands#Tears going ham with the hand imagry#though hands could also be seen as the ^overarching^ symbol of all three#because triforce#3 godesses creating the world#and also 3 wise monkeys all using hands to symbolize their thing#which would make give Courage...mind symbolism?#not sure how that'd work tho

i think the biggest problem of season 3 (of which there are Several) is the shift away from football being the crux of the story, which has undoubtedly resulted in the aimless, overstuffed, unfocused narrative we've been seeing for the last eight episodes. season one was as excellent as it was because whether richmond won or lost a match actually mattered; if they lost too many matches, they'd be relegated, and relegation was always treated as a distinct, tangible threat. there were stakes. and while season two had its issues with pacing and unnecessary subplots, no one would call it aimless. the characters had a goal (pun intended): to get promoted back to the premier league. if they lost too many matches, they would stay in the championship league. we as the audience were invested in whether or not richmond won or lost, and the narrative was all the stronger and more coherent for it.
season one asked us, can afc richmond avoid relegation? and we were invested in the answer. season two asked us, can afc richmond be promoted? and we were invested in the answer. now we're eight episodes into season three, and the overarching goal of the season, the question it is asking its audience to remain invested in, is...what? what are we building towards? is afc richmond's goal to win the whole damn thing? to beat west ham? to beat man city? to do just enough to avoid relegation again?
and because we can't answer this question, the narrative has suffered greatly. how are we supposed to believe beard when he says man city is the team's white whale if we haven't even seen them play each other yet this season? if ted's total football epiphany was so life-changing for richmond, why did we speed past all the matches this episode where the team won using that strategy? if this is all leading to a final nate-ted west ham-richmond match, why haven't we spent any time with nate at west ham? why haven't we gotten to see him grow and develop as a coach? at one point, the team was doing so badly that higgins suggested firing ted, who has been visibly struggling on and off the pitch - and the narrative did not give that suggestion the weight it might have had in season one or two. we spent an entire episode watching rupert, rebecca, and chelsea fight over zava - and then two episodes later he was gone, and we haven't so much as mentioned him since. just last season, sam was being heralded as the star of afc richmond, highly sought after by other club owners - but we haven't gotten to see any of his alleged brilliance on the pitch this season at all. i have to kick a little ball around, which those same people love me for, sam said in 3.07, that is, until i fuck up or miss a penalty, or i decide to fight back - a speech that was excellently delivered by toheeb, but loses some of its weight because we haven't actually gotten to see any negative reaction to sam missing a penalty or fucking up or deciding to fight back (not even in season 2 after the dubai air boycott).
(all this to say: i do enjoy the show. i love the characters, i've been enjoying the episodes as individual units, and i'll continue to tune in week after week. but for a show that once boasted football was life, it's sure been suffering since it decided to stop focusing on that.)
#ted lasso#ted lasso spoilers#ted lasso critical#been thinking this for a few days now and had to get it all out on paper (so to speak)#yes this season is just as punny and heartwarming and quirky as usual but like. what is everything building towards here#like the only overarching plotline so far is colin's coming out arc and it's being handled great so far#but that can't be the overarching question of the season you know???#too many questions not enough answers#they should have kept the episode lengths at 30 minutes; forced the writers to keep the plot as tight and focused as in s1#45-60 minutes is a lot of time when you aren't building towards anything

my clone culture headcanon is that they have almost no traditional mandalorian ties, they picked up almost nothing culturally/linguistically from the mandalorian trainers, but the one thing they DID get were endearments/affectionate and-or comforting words/etc.
b/c 1) that was the only way the trainers could somewhat express affection for their favorites without getting dinged for being too attached to them since no one there actually spoke mando’a 2) kaminoans would be Unhappy if the clones expressed affection openly so secret language words were the only way to safely verbalize caring and loving, so they picked up on those few kind words VERY quickly
(The way I see it working is that the trainers had favorites, would occasionally say something like “chin up, hang in there, good job kiddo,” and said favorites picked up those terms without actually ever getting Direct Translations of what they mean. So they get the words and some context but have to jumble it together themselves and pronunciation and meaning change the further away it spreads from the original favorites - because all of this is spread in private, quietly, until it grows its own legs in different iterations with different battalions imho
like they know adding -‘ika to a name is affectionate and feels like a diminutive but they don’t know what it means exactly and sometimes plug it into names in grammatically odd ways, so instead of “Trap’ika” you get “Trapper’ika” which sounds more like “Trapperka” when you’re talking fast.)
(i’m just a fan of gentle soft pet names and showing affection quietly and how love finds a way and how the clones can take what little scraps they were given and make it their own)
#starlight fandom#star wars#clone troopers#clone trooper culture#mandalorian culture#the clones didn’t get much of anything they had to take and mold what little they did receive#the few kind words they received would be hoarded and built upon I feel that strongly#and I’m v much a ‘I don’t see them getting much of mandalorian culture even if the trainers had tried to teach them’#which I don’t think they would#but even if they did I think the clones would have enough ‘the galaxy doesn’t care about us we are our own people’ that they#would create so much of their own beliefs and culture based on their circumstances rather than what little they were fed by others#all of the posts about clones picking up Jedi beliefs make me feral tbh because the thought of them choosing Jedi compassion -#after being bred for war is very chef’s kiss to me#(I also hope this doesn’t come across anti-mandalorian that’s not what I’m aiming for at all)#(I just don’t think the clones are mandalorian and I don’t think most of them would want to be)#(I also don’t think the clones would ever be a ‘one size fits all’ in these beliefs like there’s probs at least a dozen of them who do want#mandalorian culture and a handful that would want to be more traditional and a handful that would want to melt beskar down for scrap)#(I just find it unlikely that there would be one overarching clone culture after they left kamino I think there would be a base/foundation#but they’d develop in different directions and different dialects and different beliefs almost immediately due to 1) war 2) separation#3) sped up aging that means their development is fast tracked - a month in war is like aging 10yrs for them I bet)#anyway I’ll shut up now this is my personal headcanon supported not at all by canon I just like playing in the sandbox :)

Hot take but assuming someone is “too mentally sound” to be part of a subculture or going through photos of that person to find old sh scars to “prove they’re jirai” is disgusting behavior, block me over it
You literally do not know what people are going through you just assume and then bully them based on your own assumptions. You’re not entitled to anyone’s history or struggles or diagnoses or anything. Mind your own fucking business and quit trying to armchair diagnose people because they wore a fucking outfit.
#excedrinpm#and before y’all come crawling out saying that I should kms bc I’m a fashion jirai or whatever#1) I literally do not claim to be jirai kei#2) I am very fully aware that jirai kei & dark girly kei are two very different things#I am very fully aware that jirai kei is the overarching subculture and not the clothing itself#but LOTS OF PEOPLE DONT KNOW THAT and also when the clothing brands selling the items label it as “jirai can you fucking blame them#?????#and you can say oh they should educate themselves and yeah that would be nice#but it’s also lowkey unreasonable to expect everyone to especially bc there is so much misinformation like#most of them literally mean no harm and don’t do anything outside of mistag an outfit#and then y’all fucking rip them to shreds

Literally as soon as I saw your far-out webtoon ocs, I immediately went to webtoon to see if I could read it and was sad when it wasn't there
LOL Bro I'm so happy the concept art roped you in!!! Im hard at work on it, so it should start being published relatively soon.
The comic itself is coming along Pretty Nice. It's a comedy/romance about a farmer and her new alien GF who whisks her away to crazy alien parties. It's gonna be a little mini story (I'm talking like 30 chapters max), but they're some of my fav characters I've ever made. They're so funny. I can't post about my favorite bits because they're spoilers, but I hope the comic lives up to your hopes and dreams!!!!!!!
#its like 60% comedy. 30% romance. 10% existential dread#its gonna be so sick#im keeping it as a very small cute story because i would like to get back to motley asap#i just need to do something else for a bit#Far Out is focused on being silly and cute. so im not getting as hung up on any insane overarching story or anything#its super fun. im a big fan of it#far out

it's frustrating reading a book, good or bad, and then it drops some casually offensive shit in your lap.
#c'mon Dresden Files did it HAVE to be something from Native American culture that they have asked us not to use?#really couldn't think of anything else?#I'll keep reading the book but only for the overarching plot stuff#it could be worse (though it might get worse) like they haven't used that term yet#and it puts me in mind of Handbook for Mortals and the repeated casual use of the g-slur#(not to mention that book's tone-deafness about what it means to be from a family that has owned land in Tennessee since the 1700s)#I often joke that The Dresden Files is like Handbook for Mortals if Handbook for Mortals was good and had a story#but apparently some authors just can't resist using things they really shouldn't touch

i really lost all hope for wc fans back in 2021 when they killed off TBC's only female protagonist while making her last dying thoughts be about the potential family she could have had with her boyfriend and people loved it because it was "different" as if they haven't been killing off women to give their partners manpain for over 20 years now
#no it wasn't different you just got to read it from her POV this time#like sorry not to be dramatic and mean but you people will eat up anything#her death didn't have any rhyme or reasoning to it either but that's another problem#well no it's all connected. it's all a part of the same overarching problem#and isn't it depressing. how do you not see the issues at play here
