25 August 2025: Queen Rania met with the Amman Design Week (ADW) team, who shared their preparations for the upcoming edition of the nationwide event, set to return in the last quarter of 2026.
Joined by her eldest daughter, Princess Iman bint Abdullah, the Queen was briefed by the ADW team on plans for the event’s fourth edition, which will be held next year with the support of a number of private and public sector partners under the theme of “Accumulations.”
During the meeting, ADW Codirectors, Bisher Tabba and Sarah Hejazin, explained through a presentation how the event aims to deepen design’s impact, build long-term relationships with the design community, and build on collective, accumulated knowledge, drawing on the success of ADW’s three past editions.
Queen Rania and Princess Iman also viewed the prototypes of a number of original projects, created by members of Jordan’s design community.
Launched in 2016 with the support of Her Majesty, ADW was founded to showcase the designs and talents of local, regional, and international designers, and establish Amman as a regional hub for innovation, expression, and experimentation. It also empowers designers and craftspeople year-round through learning programs, direct mentorship, and personalized guidance.

18 August 2025: Queen Rania visited Al Salt, stopping at a number of organizations and initiatives focused on women’s empowerment and social development programs.
While at the Jordanian Family Advancement Association, Her Majesty met with its president, Fatimah Al Nsour, and board members, who briefed her on the association’s activities and programs.
Established in 2019 to support the local community, the association provides humanitarian assistance to families, economic empowerment opportunities for women, and awareness and training initiatives in various areas.
Walking around Al Ain Plaza, the Queen visited Beit Khairat Al Salt and met with its founder, Thaera Arabiyat. Speaking to Her Majesty about the project, Arabiyat explained how the initiative offers workshops on a variety of Jordanian handcrafts - including the art of tasseling the sides of the shemagh - to help preserve tradition and empower local women through skill development.
Her Majesty also spoke with a number of Beit Khairat Al Salt’s beneficiaries to discuss the project’s efforts in helping them market their products as well as providing training and job opportunities to members of the local community through partnerships with local organizations.
The Queen then dropped by Aktham’s 1881, a local coffee shop located in a renovated family home dating back to the year 1881. There, she met with co-founders Aktham and Abdullah Arabiyat, who outlined to Her Majesty the inspiration behind their project and their entrepreneurial vision for its future.

King Abdullah II of Jordan watches the national football team’s World Cup qualifier match against Oman, at the Jordanian embassy in London, during a working visit to Europe, on 6 June, 2025.
“I wholeheartedly congratulate the sons and daughters of our dear people on our national football team’s qualification for the World Cup finals. This historic qualification is well-deserved by our team, which includes stars and cadres of whom we are proud. Special thanks go to our loyal fans who have been our support and encouragement,” he wrote on social media.
This decisive 3-0 victory means the national team's qualification for a FIFA World Cup for the first time as the Jordanians celebrate throughout the country.

5 June 2025: King Abdullah II and United Kingdom Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer discussed bilateral relations and regional developments during their meeting in London.
During a bilateral meeting followed by an expanded one at 10 Downing Street, His Majesty affirmed Jordan’s commitment to continuing to build on the deep-rooted ties and historic friendship between Jordan and the UK.
His Majesty commended the joint efforts by Jordan and the UK to address developments in the region, emphasising the need for coordination at the bilateral and Arab-European levels.
Regarding regional developments, the King stressed the need to step up international efforts to immediately end the war on Gaza, and ensure the flow of humanitarian aid.
His Majesty praised the UK’s support to the humanitarian response in Gaza, highlighting the importance of its efforts to achieve stability in the region, and just and comprehensive peace on the basis of the two-state solution.
The King also warned of the dangers of recent escalations in the West Bank, as well as the attacks on Muslim and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, reiterating Jordan’s position that rejects the displacement of Palestinians from their land.
His Majesty also highlighted Jordan’s readiness to maintain coordination with the UK in service of the two countries’ mutual goals and interests, as well as on regional issues.
For his part, Prime Minister Starmer thanked His Majesty for his leadership and efforts, particularly in the region, in relation to the conflicts taking place, noting that their meeting was an important opportunity to discuss and exchange views on regional issues and bilateral relations.
Starmer pointed out the importance of the two countries continuing to work together, including efforts to immediately reach a ceasefire in Gaza, and ensure the delivery of urgent humanitarian aid as quickly as possible. He agreed that the only long-term solution is the two-state solution.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Director of the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh, and Jordan’s Ambassador to the UK Manar Dabbas attended the meeting.
On the sidelines of His Majesty’s meeting with Starmer, Safadi also met with his British counterpart, Foreign Secretary David Lammy.

5 June 2025: King Abdullah II and President of the Government of Spain Pedro Sánchez witnessed the signing of a joint declaration on the strategic partnership between Jordan and Spain.
The declaration aims to elevate bilateral relations between Jordan and Spain to a strategic level in the development-related, economic, commercial, social, cultural and defence fields, with the aim of achieving goals of mutual interest, and enhancing security and stability.
In addition, a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the agriculture sector, and an extradition agreement were signed.
During expanded talks with Prime Minister Sánchez, His Majesty emphasised the significance of these agreements, which will serve to enhance cooperation between the two countries across all fields, and noted the importance of maintaining coordination, and building on the two countries’ long history of mutual respect and commitment to the pursuit of peace and stability around the world.
The King expressed appreciation for Spain’s support to Jordan’s services to refugees, as well as its economic and administrative modernisation efforts, noting readiness to deepen cooperation in the economic and tourism fields.
Speaking about regional developments, His Majesty praised Spain’s position calling for an end to the war on Gaza, and ensuring that delivery of humanitarian aid reaches all areas of the Strip.
The King highlighted the importance of Spain’s decision to recognise the Palestinian state, a step that will lead to more support for the Palestinian people.
His Majesty said work is underway to gain more European support for the Arab plan to rebuild Gaza without displacing its residents, commending Spain as the voice of reason and wisdom.
The King warned of the dangers of unilateral measures targeting Palestinians in the West Bank, and Muslim and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
His Majesty reiterated the need to step up international efforts to support Palestinians in gaining their legitimate rights to establish their independent state on the basis of the two-state solution.
For his part, Prime Minister Sánchez praised Jordan’s important efforts, under the leadership of His Majesty, to promote security and stability in the region and the world, noting Jordan’s vital role in supporting Palestinians.
Sánchez added that the war on Gaza, which has claimed the lives of tens of thousands of innocent civilians, must be brought to an end.

14 August 2025: Crown Prince Hussein, the Regent, received top General Secondary Education Certificate Examination (Tawjihi) achievers for the 2024-2025 academic year, at Basman Palace.
Crown Prince Hussein, accompanied by Princess Rajwa, congratulated the students on their success, and spoke with them about their plans to pursue higher education in various disciplines.
The Crown Prince urged them to focus on developing a range of skills to prepare them for the evolving nature of the labour market, as well as to participate in cultural and volunteerism opportunities during their time at university.

5 June 2025: King Abdullah II met with King Felipe VI of Spain in Madrid. The meeting covered the importance of continued coordination between Jordan and Spain on issues of mutual concern, as well as keenness to elevate bilateral relations to the level of strategic partnership.
His Majesty commended Spain’s support for the rights of Palestinians, as well as its support of creating a political horizon to achieve peace on the basis of the two-state solution, and the need to stop the war on Gaza and resume the flow of sufficient humanitarian aid to all areas of the Strip.

4 June 2025: King Abdullah II received a delegation from the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO), headed by Director General Qu Dongyu.
During the meeting, His Majesty was presented with the FAO Agricola Medal, in recognition of his efforts and contribution to the prosperity of peoples, and supporting nutrition and food security in the region and the world, particularly through Jordan’s humanitarian efforts in Gaza.
The FAO Agricola Medal honours distinguished global leaders and institutions that play an exceptional role in promoting food security and nutrition, poverty reduction and sustainable agriculture and rural development.
The King expressed his appreciation for the FAO’s ongoing support to Jordan, particularly in the context of Jordan’s National Food Security Information Management System, which was launched in late 2024.
His Majesty affirmed Jordan’s readiness to maintain cooperation with the FAO on food security and agricultural development related goals, in accordance with Jordan’s Economic Modernisation Vision plans.

2 June 2025: Deputising for His Majesty, Crown Prince Hussein attended the graduation ceremony of the 54th class of air force cadets at King Hussein Air College.
His Royal Highness presented the graduates with their wings, and awarded the best achievers in the class. The Crown Prince also attended an air show performed by RJAF fighter jets and choppers.

1 June 2025: King Abdullah II, during a meeting with a delegation from the ministerial committee assigned by the Joint Arab Islamic Extraordinary Summit on Developments in the Gaza Strip, emphasised the importance of continuing to coordinate with active partners to build greater international pressure to stop the ongoing tragedy in Gaza.
The meeting, attended by Crown Prince Hussein, covered the need to step up Arab and international efforts to end the war on Gaza, and resume the flow of humanitarian aid to all areas of the Strip.
The King also warned against the dangerous and unprecedented Israeli escalations targeting Palestinians in the West Bank, and Muslim and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
Discussions also addressed the need to continue mobilising international support to enable Palestinians to receive their full legitimate rights, and to create a political horizon to achieve peace on the basis of the two-state solution.
For their part, the delegation members praised Jordan for its position in support of Palestinians at all levels, regionally and internationally. They also commended His Majesty’s standing in the international community, which has been vital to mobilising world leaders and public opinion in support of the Palestinian cause in relation to the situation in Gaza and the West Bank.
The delegation, headed by Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, included Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Alzayani, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aty, Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit, and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi.

31 May 2025: Crown Prince Hussein bin attended the launch of the third annual Tawasol Forum 2025, held at the King Hussein Business Park.
During his speech at the launch of the forum, held under the theme "A Dialogue on Reality and Aspirations", the Crown Prince highlighted the importance of technology and its role in optimizing services, improving education, healthcare, and public administration, as well as providing youth with job opportunities, and supporting the economy.
The third edition of the forum aims to highlight a renewed approach to national dialogue, based on engaging youth in transparent and informal discussions with decision-makers, and discussing vital areas reflecting the priorities of society and youth. More than 1,000 participants from across the Kingdom participated in the forum, along with more than 22 speakers from the public and private sectors and civil society.

29 May 2025: Crown Prince Hussein met with Mafraq youth to discuss a range of issues related to enhancing their engagement which are closely followed by the Crown Prince.
The meeting, which took place at the Rihab Youth Centre, focused on the fields of technology, economy, tourism, and vocational and technical education and training.
Speaking about technology, the Crown Prince highlighted plans under development by the National Council for Future Technology for new and quality projects that seek to keep pace with the future to serve citizens and support economic growth.
His Royal Highness noted the importance of continuing to enhance economic opportunities and attract investments in various fields.
The Crown Prince also addressed the importance of developing vocational and technical education and training, to empower youth and hone their skills to meet labour market demand for new careers.
For their part, the attendees praised His Royal Highness’ readiness to communicate regularly with young people, and listen to their opinions and ideas, as youth engagement is essential to building and developing Jordan.

28 May 2025: King Abdullah II received members of the United States Congress in two separate meetings. He met with Senator Jacky Rosen, and House Representatives Mike Lawler, Michael McCaul, and Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick.
The two meetings covered ways to strengthen the strategic partnership between Jordan and the United States, and deepen economic cooperation, as well as the need to bolster the Kingdom’s economy in support of its important role as a stabilising factor in the region.
The meetings also touched on the importance of the King’s meetings with members of the US Senate and House of Representatives, and the keenness of members of Congress to visit Jordan on a regular basis in the interests of expanding cooperation between the two countries, as well as exchanging views on regional and international developments.
While discussing regional developments, His Majesty highlighted the pivotal role of the US in stabilising the region, noting in particular the need for de-escalation in the West Bank, and the importance of ending the war on Gaza starting with a ceasefire, while stepping up efforts to ensure the unimpeded flow of humanitarian aid into the Strip.
