The CORRECT third option: G.I.F.
Jee Eye Eff
Tis how you say it
Tis how I say it
Any other way sounds weird.
Now that you have been informed, I expect to see changes.
OKAY TUMBLR. IT'S TIME TO SETTLE THIS ONCE AND FOR ALL.
Reblog this if you pronounce “.gif” as “GIF.”
NOT JIF,

And here is the link for the opposite.
WE SHALL SEE WHICH ONE PREVAILS.

What if Elsa and Anna’s parents survived their trip to Ahtohallan and back?
The thing is, there were answers in Ahtohallan, but they weren't very actionable or useful for your average person.
Elsa gets something out of it because she dies, turns into snowflakes, and is resurrected as the fifth element. The movie tells me this is the same Elsa we know and love but, well, we'll never know.
For Elsa's parents--they might find out Elsa's the fifth element, but probably not as the guardian horsey isn't going to let them get that close. The other part about shafting the natives that Anna and Elsa found out as the story progressed, well, they probably already have some idea/I can't imagine either of them are naive enough to really believe it was all a terrible tragedy given what happened.
And ultimately, the problem Elsa was having wasn't something that could be solved by the Ahtohallan trip in and of itself. Elsa had to learn not to fear herself, which up until this point everything her parents had done to try and help her had only made things worse.
Which means no matter what they find out, we're right back where we started at Frozen 1. Anna and Elsa have a strained and distant relationship that Anna is extremely frustrated about, but their parents are young and Elsa is highly unlikely to be coronated anytime soon. As a result, the gates are still not open for coronation day and there's no impetus to change (in fact, there might be less, as Elsa's parents are going "fuuuuuuuuuuck" upon coming back and not having an answer to Elsa's problems).
Where things get... interesting... is down the line.
Now, the couple has two daughters. On the one hand, Elsa has been preparing to be queen her entire life, she has sacrificed so much to do so. She's very intelligent, pragmatic, and capable of being queen. But, her powers are out of control with no solution in sight. Sooner or later, she's going to slip, and they can't lock up the fucking country forever.
However, the second daughter, has not been trained for being queen at all and is... Anna. I'm sure her parents love her, they seem to from what we see of them, but Anna, especially as of Frozen 1, does not walk around with the comportment of a queen. Anna's a charming but clumsy goof who is also, at that point in time, swayed by romance and fantasy. Anna wants an adventure, a grand romance, that she might get as a princess who could be married off to a foreign kingdom.... but not as a crown princess/heir apparent.
Not to mention Anna has given 0 indications she wants to be queen, at all, and Elsa really really really does want to live up to expectations.
THOSE POWERS THOUGH.
I imagine there's much debate of "do we send Elsa up north to the wilderness where she can make as many snow things as she likes and cover it up somehow? or do we keep her here and hope for the best despite it just getting worse :/"
And Anna, I imagine, is losing her patience. She's getting close to marrying age, she can get out of this fucking kingdom. She wants to meet handsome princes and LEEEEAAAAAAAVEEEEEEE. This is bad because a) it means no backup for Elsa b) Anna you haven't even met these fucking princes.
But Anna also can't be shut up forever and she really should leave and get married, you know, eventually.
So one of a few things happen:
Under Immense Stress, Elsa Causes Eternal Winter
Sooner or later, probably when some public appearance is mandated with no wiggle room, Elsa fucks up as she did in canon. Maybe Anna is insisting she's going to run off with Hot Prince Hans who is so Hot and Of the Souther Isles, but the way things were going--the pressure was unbearable, and she was near her breaking point.
At this point, we pretty much get Frozen as Anna (probably the catalyst) goes after her sister to find out "what the fuck?!" and is also going after her sister to prove a point to her parents "WHO LIED?! THIS WHOLE TIME?!"
Hans may or may not be involved, but if he is, then he has a lot more royalty to go through this time so is probably not scheming to murder absolutely everyone and "I AM SUDDENLY KING!"
Not quite the same situation as when the king and queen were recently dead, the country in a panic over whether Elsa could handle it, then Elsa's suddenly a fucking witch and oooooof Anna's queen... and she just ran off to the mountains...
Anna of the Souther Isles
Anna gets set up with a match just as she wants and ships off to somewhere warm without any fear of being shut out. Problem is, Anna has no idea who these people are or what she's getting into and it will likely be a fucking mess. Except she's also married to a man she doesn't really know and there's now no easy way out.
"hooraaaaaay" - Anna

unpopular opinion but I don't particularly care if the autobots and decepticons in the tfone universe end up going to earth or not
It'd be interesting either way

And even then, are we really sure it's entirely platonic?
I love it when there's a couple but then there's a third guy who's also there and he's part of it but not like romantically he's just a part of the couple but like....platonically

So Silco, Vander and Felicia were friends. The relationship between Silco and Vander crumbled after Felicia's death on the bridge (s1 ep1), but at this point the girls are already quite grown up. Could it be that Silco and Vander have been involved in their upbringing all these years? That's why they approach Vander so calmly on the bridge - they know him. Could Powder have thrown herself into Silco's arms in ep3 because she somehow remembered him and by that time he was the only member of her family?

As someone raised thick in the fundie evangelical when the LOTR trilogy and the narnia films coming out and is now fully realized nonbinary genderfuckery autistic person but raised femme who’s main special interest is LOTR, both Tolkien and Lewis were very idiosyncratic, flawed creatives living through what was also a crazy time. These men were of their time, just like we are shaped by our unprecedented events. We all want to make them these creative gods or saints of either Christianity or academia but they were just human.
What I love about each of them and their works is trying to blend Christianity with mythology which is pagan, each with very different values and perspectives and that even furthers the nuance. Seeing the pagan roots along side very Christian window dressing is very funny to me (it really feels like to me he’s trying to validate Christianity similar to Milton’s Paradise Lost alas that’s a different post all together), but also very concurrent with our own real history. It doesn’t need to be perfect or solve anything because it’s a reflection of our art and history, and invites us to dream of a better world.
Tolkien would probably not be happy about ents and weed and socialism but I think would appreciate the fact that we all can agree that small acts of kindness keep the darkness at bay.
you guys are so annoying. why do i have to see discourse every year that's like "was tolkien really a woke king or was he your conservative uncle?" the guy was a devout catholic and a genteel misogynist who maintained lifelong friendships with queer people and women, and this isn't even paradoxical because that was part of the upper-class oxford culture he was immersed in. tolkien told the nazis to fuck off (and in doing so demonstrated a real understanding of what racism is and why it's harmful, beyond simply "these guys are bad news because they're who my country is at war with right now") but his inner life was marked by internalized racism that is deeply and inextricably woven into the art that he made. he foolishly described himself as an anarcho-monarchist, and it's kind of crazy to see people on this website passionately arguing that he likely never meaningfully engaged with anarchist theory, because...yeah, no shit, of course he didn't. tolkien didn't have to engage with most sociopolitical theory because as an upper-class englishman of his position, he was never affected by any of the issues that this theory is concerned with. what is plainly obvious from reading both his fiction and letters is that tolkien's ideal political system was that the divinely ordained god-king would rise up and rule in perfect justice and humility; he didn't want a government, he wanted a king arthur, even though (obviously) he was aware that outcome was impossible. why is it so hard for people to accept that he was just some guy! his letters aren't a code you have to crack. no amount of arguing or tumblr-level analysis is going to one day reveal a rhetorically airtight internally consistent worldview spanning jrrt's fiction, academic work, and personal writings, thereby "solving" the question of whether he was a woke king or your conservative uncle. his ideology was extremely inconsistent because, at the end of the day, he was just some guy.

Would Bella ever feel jealous that Jacob who used to think *she* was the most amazing now feels that way towards her kid?
The thing about Bella, is that once she decided imprinting was cool, she was completely gung-ho about it. To her, Jacob just occupies a different place in Renesmee's life. And yes, he'll be her best friend, her babysitter, her brother, her lover someday, but that's just what being an imprint means. Bella gets to occupy the role of "mother" that Jacob can never quite touch.
And that's just the "would she be jealous of Jacob's relationship with her daughter" and not the other way around.
But we don't see that in canon. Once Bella's on board, she thinks it's great and amazing that Renesmee is the most important person in the world to Jacob. It's, in fact, kind of relieving/a sign that the universe is in zen because guess who's magically not in an uncomfortable love triangle anymore! This even explains why Jacob liked her so much even though she's soulmates with Edward, obviously that was because he was going to be soulmates with her and Edward's offspring.
"I'm so glad the world makes perfect sense" - Bella Swan.
Bella genuinely barely seems to notice or mind that Jacob spends every minute of every day that he can with Renesmee. She, in fact, encourages this by not saying anything/being pleased as punch when Jacob... gets Renesmee... an engagement bracelet for Christmas...
What matters to Bella is that everyone fits happily together with who they are supposed to and that Jacob remains happily in her life/is no longer upset about the vampire thing.

And now we have reached the 'faithless electors' stage of Democrats trying to do literally anything other than demanding accountability from the leadership that lost them the election in the first place.
"She was a perfect candidate, therefore Trump must have cheated."
We repeat history because we do not learn from it.
