I think to an extent this is a valid complaint that some people can't wait, but I would also like to point out that sometimes major plot points go completely unanswered and it's dumb that they do.
A personal example would be in "Masters Of The Universe: Revelation." Which, if you want to watch it, skip the rest of this, serious spoilers ahead.
There was a plot point where Teela and Andra had to go snag a MacGuffin chalice from Tri-klops, Trapjaw, and Blast Attak, who started a cult to a machine goddess. Teela and Andra get the chalice and it turns out the old lady who asked them to get it was Evil-Lyn. And the Chalice was the broken head of the Havoc Staff magically transfigured to hide it.
At no point does the show explain why Lyn did that. At no point does it consider her thought processes or how she knew they were using that specific chalice for the cult's initiation. They just blew by that as a plot point entirely in part 1.
I brought that up and the only defense for it was "Well part 2 hasn't dropped yet." And then part 2 dropped and it was never answered.
My point is sometimes you can tell when something won't be answered from the outset and it can be kinda distracting and take away from the overall experience. You don't have to explain everything but an item central to the plot better have a good reason for being where it is when it is.
My second point is Don't watch Masters Of The Universe: Revelation, it sucks.
I think people have truly lost any ability to be patient with storytelling.
‘I don’t understand this’ They’ll explain it if you wait.
‘I don’t like how this episode left things hanging’ There’s a continuation next week.
‘This character is flat’ Wait for them to be fleshed out.
So many of the complaints I see about shows lately are people being confused by things THAT THE SHOW WANTS YOU TO BE CONFUSED BY THATS THE FUN OF MYSTERY AND FORESHADOWING YOU ABSOLUTE GOBLINS THE MAIN CHARACTER IS ALSO CONFUSED AND THEYRE GONNA DO A BIG REVEAL AND EXPLANATION LATER IF YOU WOULD JUST FUCKING WAIT

Hot take, but…
Anyone else think GUN got off easy? Like, SA2’s and Sonic 3’s entire plot is their fault, yet you don't hear anyone badmouth them in the games, at least not from the general public.
Where are the mass protests?
If anything, I thank Sonic 3 for having Sonic outright tell them to screw off. I don’t think even game/Japanese Sonic would want anything to do with them.
“You know, when all this started, I wasn’t mad at you. Annoyed, but not mad. After all, this was just a simple case of mistaken identity, I thought. Not the first time it’s happened.
But then…what you did to those people…and that girl…and Shadow…
…I can’t believe I’m saying this, but you might be worse than Egghead over there. No, on second thought, you are.
Because at least he doesn’t hide his actions behind a badge and some self-righteous sense of justice, when all you’ve done is cause pain to those you swore to protect.”

Why do you not like Silver having character depth in IDW?
Morphing a canonically rough-edged, largely rude character who has fine control of his PSI and fought Infinite head-on in canon into a preshius smol cinnamon roll who emotes like Tangle the fucking Lemur and fumbles with his PSI as well as being imperiled by an Egg Pawn is not “character depth.”

How about, as a rule, we not only stop idolizing celebs but stop stanning for authors just because we happen to enjoy their work?
I still remember JKR being hailed as a queen in the 2010s, especially around here and in leftist circles. And we all see where that's gone.
one of the most frustrating things about the neil gaiman situation (and others like it) is people who were fans immediately moving to a different person to idolise ('well, at least we still have x author' or 'please tell me y author is still a good person') and in this situation specifically, 'terry pratchett would be furious'. no!!! you do not know!!!you have no idea whether terry pratchett or any author you like was/is a predator! you cannot take a situation in which a man's public persona as a feminist and supporter of women allowed him to prey on vulnerable women without suspicion and then look at all the other men who portray themselves as good people and say 'well, these ones are still okay though.' just stop idolising celebrities!!!!!!!

I want HOTD to make Daeron's absence completely absurd. Like, he won't appear on screen, but the characters will talk about him the same way they did in the second season. "Oh, you know, your son joined the war." "Your brother burned Tumbleton." "Do you see that dot in the sky? Yeah, that's Prince Daeron." I don't know, at least it'll be funny.

Elon Musk’s Five-Pronged Approach to Reducing Government
Elon Musk, the billionaire entrepreneur behind Tesla, SpaceX, and X (formerly Twitter), has long been vocal about his concerns regarding excessive government intervention. Whether it’s through regulatory pushback, decentralization efforts, or technological disruption, Musk is actively working to reduce government influence in five key ways.
1. Challenging Regulatory Overreach
Musk has repeatedly criticized government regulations that he believes stifle innovation. From Tesla’s battles with dealership laws to SpaceX’s friction with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), he has frequently clashed with authorities over what he sees as unnecessary red tape. By publicly pushing back against these restrictions, he aims to set precedents that could lead to reduced regulatory burdens across industries.
2. Privatizing Space Exploration
NASA was once the sole player in space exploration, but SpaceX has shifted the industry toward privatization. By reducing dependence on government-funded programs and proving that private companies can outperform traditional bureaucratic models, Musk is driving a shift away from government monopolization of space travel.
3. Advocating for Free Speech and Decentralization
After acquiring Twitter (now X), Musk positioned himself as a champion of free speech, often criticizing government involvement in content moderation. He has also expressed support for decentralized social media and blockchain technologies, which could reduce reliance on centralized, government-regulated platforms.
4. Developing Alternative Energy and Infrastructure
Tesla’s push for electric vehicles and solar power indirectly challenges government-controlled energy industries. By promoting self-sufficient energy solutions, such as home battery storage and off-grid living, Musk is creating alternatives that reduce reliance on state-controlled utilities and fossil fuel subsidies.
5. Advancing AI and Automation to Limit Government’s Role
Musk has a complex stance on artificial intelligence (AI), both warning about its dangers and investing in its development through xAI. By accelerating automation, he envisions a future where technology reduces the need for bureaucratic inefficiencies, potentially shrinking government involvement in areas like labor regulation and public sector jobs.
Conclusion
Musk’s efforts to reduce government influence aren’t just theoretical; they manifest in tangible actions across multiple industries. Whether he succeeds or not remains to be seen, but his impact is already reshaping the relationship between innovation and regulation.

"The forest was shrinking but the trees kept voting for the axe, for the axe was clever and convinced the trees that because his handle was made of wood he was one of them."
- Turkish Proverb
Okay, trees, I know it's hard to understand but those billionaires? That orange stain now in office? They're the axe, honey. They've always been the axe.
And we've never been anything but kindling to them.

SORRY THIS IS SO LONG On the nature of the bans and the "progressive culture" led by terfs that support this, they've missed a massive point. While we strive to provide space for everyone who wants to compete, liberals seem to have missed the point of feminism completely. The goal of equality is equity, supporting people by providing them a field of fair play. Leagues and other metrics could be used to create tiers of skill rather than arbitrary sex division. Why is this so complicated, and when we go to schools why does it have to be divided by age? is not height and weight important in more than just wrestling?
ex. we see all basketball players start to get taller just to play on the same field, so suddenly short kids are being told they have no chance to play.
wtf is going on with our culture.
Little league, college football... the age and gender needs to matter less than the level of skill if we want to give all kids a good experience and all athletes a chance to shine.
You want join sport, your skill level is judged, you are put on a team and play against people of similar skill until you win [ outperform ] and move up a rank.
Also, if you want my opinion the majority of the people who are queer are repressing it. the presumption based on polls doesn't take into account parental and cultural rearing. so I think that if we had total access to information since we were kids, and shame just didn't happen, our numbers would be closer to 20% being gay, 40% bi, and 30% transgender [ IMO ] - i think a lot of people repress it and would enjoy being open about whatever it is if it didn't make their friends "weird"
People are freaking out because we are starting to see more of the AMAB femboy who likes to go by he even though he dresses like a 'girl' a lot of the time, but what about when women started wearing pants? THAT WAS GENDER NON-CONFORMING. early 1900s ppl. Gender non-conformance of the feminist movement wasn't so different than being transgender.
i think gay got popular in 1980s so information about gayness circulated, but without other information or opportunity to change anything about what their bodies would be later from a young age.
Cisgender as a concept is by nature built on the fear of being different, because of the binary mentality about it all. But literally EVERYTHING is a spectrum, if we just let it be. Instead we create problems that prevent potential.
ex. a lesbian thinks shes transmasc OH but they really LIKE the LESBIAN community and being a man would rule them out of women only spaces.
ex. maybe I am a man who doesn't like competing against the other men, oh i guess i have no space to compete where i enjoy the experience i guess i just won't be an athlete.
Shame, culture, shame.
TLDR ?
[ feminism was supposed to be about opportunity to be equal, and they left "men" behind in terms of equality theology ]
One last note: GSRM means gender, sexual, and romantic minorities and is a far more encompassing term than lgbt or lgbtqia+ imo, being poly and i consider that to be a minority that is frowned upon. i'm also bi but i am with a man. I just don't get why non-physical spaces (i.e. online communities) need to be exclusive. so please use gsrm, and embrace all people who question their gender, sexuality, or romantic inclinations and provide them with love and knowledge.
It often feels like mainstream acceptance of queer people, particularly trans and nonbinary people, is contingent on there being few of us. When I was a kid witnessing arguments about gay marriage, statistics about LGBTQ people were so often presented in such a way as to reassure everyone else that we are not dangerous because we are rare. "It's not going to cause societal collapse ... because such a small percentage of people are gay."
And conservative rhetoric against queer people, particularly trans people, which explicitly refers to us as a "social contagion," really underscores that any perceived "increase" in sexual or gender diversity will be seen as a threat. If queer people are permitted to exist, we must be aberrant and isolated. If we are normal and natural and commonly occurring, it is because something has gone terribly wrong.
So. Forgive me if I bristle at the well-meaning argument that "these trans athlete bans are ridiculous, they're only going to affect a few dozen people!" I understand where they're coming from. But I think trans people should be free and abundant.

Ok this is a bit insane so hear me out but -BSD fandom. I’ve always had this hc of Dazai’s inhumanity, one which is very unpopular. For years. But hear me out, it’s what makes him so compelling.
Inter-dimensionality is something that BSD interacts with frequently. There is a consistent reappearance of reality’s moldability in a meta way, making the reader a literal part of the plot. “The book” is the literal text of BSD.
If the book exists as more than a janky mechanic within the story, then there is some level of shallowness and distortion about their world. Things like death aren’t always permanent, premonition and uncanny future telling are possible, and the concept of the book implies the existence of a destiny in the plot, (or a predetermined outcome), sometimes paradoxically. What is written will happen, and what will happen will be written. The concept of time and of consequence literally exist as an object within this universe. ‘Fate’ or ‘destiny’ can be physically held.
Dazai has been criticized for always knowing things, for having an unreasonable level of foresight about the plot. This is usually attributed to his smarts, but it goes a bit beyond that, and beyond pattern recognition. A good way to see this is to compare him to Ranpo. The two seem to be operating with different tools. Ranpo is almost a little unsettled by Dazai (and Fyodor).
Dazai shows a level of emotional premonition and mastering of reality that’s freaky.
My theory is that this “plot armor” is an actual type of tool used by characters within the story, is their sort of connection with the fabric of the shallow universe (or the pages of the book). This is another layer of interaction with reality that Dazai especially (although sometimes others) have.
Add this to Dazai’s character traits, especially in the manga. He sort of deftly moves the pieces, and we get the sense that this is purposeful. He doesn’t seem to ostensibly do anything besides make outrageous plans which always work, he cannot fight reliably nor really deduce well on the spot (or he never does this out loud), yet, whenever he is around, everything sort of peacefully moves where it should. He has to be forcefully removed from the plot in order to cause the maximum amount of drama in more arcs than not. I think we’re supposed to believe that Fyodor (who is the only one approaching Dazai in this otherworldly aura), against the ADA (without Dazai) would win, and Dazai against the DOA (without Fyodor) would win. Ranpo can see things, but he is ultimately sort of helpless to this progression, whereas Dazai and Fyodor sit above. Everything is in their game of chess.
I believe Dazai is also emotionally unrealistic for a human portrayal, and this is where I’m gonna get flayed, especially because I don’t have the space to go into every detail (maybe later). He seems emotionally distanced from every but a select few characters. His relationship with Atsushi feels a bit groomy (as in the creation of a tool rather than sexually).
I feel Dazai is fundamentally bored. He is a character, despite all of his control, of unfulfilled desire. He wants to die, he desires it in his pursuit of pleasure, but he cannot, in an unsettlingly supernatural way (when removed from the bit). He says, “Everything worth wanting is lost the moment I obtain it.”
He is ultimately active, and acting (in a fundamental sense), but he wants to be acted upon. He enjoys being yelled at, causing anger, he seems to preen under fury, he likes to flirt with the edge, and it never seems to quite take him. His plans are outrageous because they always seem to deliver him into the arms of death, just from something to pull him away at the last minute (often Chuuya) .
Anyways, don’t murder me, just scroll pls TT.

What could happen if mass fraud was found in the 2024 US election? If Elon's Starlink was found to have been used to change votes? Is it too late? Could we do a re-vote?
Why aren't there random audits built into the system?
Musk seems guilty. Didn't he say something about if Trump didn't win that he would be in trouble too? And all the stuff his kid's been saying. Not a single snarky comment back from Trump, he's just taking it like he doesn't have a choice.

What especially sucks about Chelsea in the movie is that she WAS, in fact, supposed to be Nerissa's teenage daughter rather than Nerissa herself and treated more sympathetically in earlier drafts. I'm not a big fan of Cinema Sins, but their video on the movie was totally right about how dumb the Chelsea = Nerissa twist was executed....she completely changes her character just like many bullshit twist villains once the reveal happens, but after being defeated and locked up she's suddenly back to acting like Chelsea for literally no reason. In fact, being locked up at all is nonsensical because if she's Nerissa then she should still be powerful enough to break out. Not to conspiracy theorize, but I can't help but wonder if the filmmakers realized everyone was going to ship Chelsea and Ruby, so the Nerissa plot twist got forced in as a means of stopping it since Nerissa is an adult. Because Heaven forbid people ship Ruby with another girl rather than the butt-ugly guy the movie puts her with.
Joke's on them then, since fans can just ignore the twist and ship 'em anyway! :P
Chelsea Van Der Zee - Villain Re-Write
Chelsea is probably the one thing that makes me feel conflicted the most about this movie:
I love her chemistry with Ruby and the scenes where is just them hanging out is by far the most entertaining parts of the movie
I hate her as a villain because she´s on the level of "I´m evil because the plot needs a villain" (and her twist being Nerissa downright sucked).
With that in mind, this is a bit of my "re-write" of her as a villain to give her a bit more depth:
*Most of the events of the movie remains the same, just modifying the bits with Chelsea
Make her Nerissa´s actual daughter (because that twist was dumb, came out of nowhere and I´m dying on that hill).
2. After her mother´s death on her battle against Agatha, she´s raised by the Mermaid kingdom´s courtiers basically her entire childhood.
3. She´s indoctrinated into believing Krakens aren´t these so called protectors of the sea, but rather they heavily police the rest of the kingdoms so they can´t expand their reach and keep that territory all for themselves (That way, just like Ruby, she´s being told the other side is in the wrong).
4. Through her life she develops a passion for all kinds sea creatures, and isn´t to fond of the idea she was taugth about Krakens controlling how much other sea kingdoms can expand.
5. The courtiers tell her there´s a way to bring her mother back AND to lower Kraken´s power so the sea territories can be balanced, and it´s by spell/ritual that involves the trident and Kraken´s blood.
6. She meets Ruby, and upon realising she´s a Kraken, at first sticks with her to manipulate her so she can retrieve the trident and take her blood to bring back her mother.
7. Over time, she actually starts bonding with Ruby over their shared interest over sea creatures and get to know each other backgrounds, so propose to her to get the trident as a peace sign between both kingdoms to reach balance (By this point, it plays a lot like in the actual movie, only that Chelsea still omitts the Kraken´s blood part because she believes Ruby would not accept if she knew that detail).
8. Ruby brings back the trident, and when Chelsea is preparing the spell, she stabs Ruby´s arm-tentacle, a weakened Ruby is baffled by this and Chelsea tells her it was necessary for the plan and she has to understand.
9. The trident reacts to Kraken´s blood and manifests Nerissa´s soul, to which Chelsea greets her mother as is the first time she sees her since she was a child.
10. Chelsea explains she learnt eveything about her and the courtier´s plan to balance the sea territories, and she even convinced Ruby, the heir of the Kraken´s throne to the plan.
11. When Chelsea asks how the trident could do all of that, Nerissa says that the trident never was intended as a peace sign, but rather a weapon with enough power to kill a Kraken, and when the Krakens are gone, all sea creatures would unite and obey the Mermaid kingdom as the supreme sea kingdom, and the ones to no comply would run into the same fate as Krakens.
12. By this point both Ruby and Chelsea see both of them got played, Ruby by accepting to the spell and Chelsea by trusting the courtier´s plan, now not only Ruby´s family is at risk, but pretty much every other creature on the sea.
13. Chelsea tells Nerissa that the plan is complete madness, and as heir of the throne of her kingdom, she wouldn´t let it happen, to which Nerissa says that she no longer has a voice on it since she was back as queen, and the role she plays on her plan is being her avatar to wield the trident, and that for starters, she was going to get rid of Ruby.
14. Chelsea refuses, Nerissa tells her how dissappointed she is that her daughter is so weak, but she got a contingency plan for that, if Chelsea doesn´t do it herself, then she would.
15. Nerissa´s souls enters Chelsea´s body to control her, but while Chelsea still has some control she struggles against the possesion, tells Ruby to escape and pushes her to give her a headstart, letting Ruby to get into a sea current, pushing her away while she sees Chelsea falling to her mother´s control and starting to grow.
16. Ruby gets to the Kraken´s palace and tells her mom and grandma everything that happened (the big kaiju fight takes place as normal).
17. Once the trident is shattered, Nerissa´s soul vanishes and Chelsea shrinks back to her normal size several meters mid air, to which Ruby rushes to catch her, saving her from the fall.
18. Upon waking up and staring at Ruby´s giant eyes, Chelsea breaks down after realising how she almost doomed the entire sea AND hurting Ruby (This way we can see Chelsea on a phase we never saw her before, instead of being bossy and self-confident, she´s now doubtful of herself and the things she did).
19. Ruby´s grandma tell Ruby to bring Chelsea to her so she can fry her, to which Ruby refuses (Just like in the actual movie, despite everything that went down, Ruby still advocates for Chelsea´s life).
20. There´s a talk between the 3 royal Krakens (Grandmamah, Agatha and Ruby) about what they should do with the trident´s shards, since it´s too dangerous if it´s assembled back.
21. Ruby has an idea and says they could scatter all parts across the sea, so there´s no way someone could find all of them, to which Grandmamah and Agatha recognise it might be a good idea, with the issue that they being as big as they are, that would draw to much attention and would risk to spot the shards.
22. Chelsea still shocked by everything that just went down, overhears their talk and says that she could scatter all the shard, since being smaller she would pass on as a regular fish.
23. Grandmamah and Agatha immediatly turns down her initiative after all that happened and how she backstabed Ruby, to which, Ruby stands up for Chelsea and tells her mom and grandma that she would be dead and couldn´t be able to alert them about Nerissa´s return not being that Chelsea fought back against her mother.
24. After some time pondering about it, they accept the initiative, under 2 conditions, those being that Chelsea must hide the shard where they tell her too being escorted by a guard, even if that includes land as well, AND, once she´s done with it, she must stay at the palace, since they don´t want to risk another betrayal (by doing this, Chelsea is given the chance to redeem herself, without immediatly being forgiven so she can work on her character for a possible sequel).
25. Chelsea accepts her new duty, and after they give her the map and her designated guard to start her journey, she goes to Ruby to say her farewells, hoping that Ruby will forgive her, to which Ruby says it may take some time, but she is grateful that she once gave her the determination to embrace her Kraken self and becoming better, so she will be waiting for her to comeback.
I know that this re-write may come as a long, dramatic and a bit corny (because it´s all of that, I recognize that), but that´s because I wanted to write both Ruby and Chelsea as 2 sides of the same coin:
Both of them were taught about the dangers of another sea creatures.
Both of them had good intentions at heart wanting to make the sea a better place.
Both of them got their trust played with and in consecuence got hurt by it.
I just really like Chelsea´s character and design that much that I don´t want her to go to waste to not be seen again.
___
But sadly, things are set in stone now, and unless they decide to do some crazy retconing for a sequel/series, we will be stuck with Nerissa "NO Chelsea" Van Der Zee.
But hey, not everything is doomed, in the words of Luz Noceda:
...
Hey, if you´re still reading this actual wall of text, you deserve a pat on the back, I knew this was LOOOOONG.

So Silco, Vander and Felicia were friends. The relationship between Silco and Vander crumbled after Felicia's death on the bridge (s1 ep1), but at this point the girls are already quite grown up. Could it be that Silco and Vander have been involved in their upbringing all these years? That's why they approach Vander so calmly on the bridge - they know him. Could Powder have thrown herself into Silco's arms in ep3 because she somehow remembered him and by that time he was the only member of her family?
