Round Two
Characters: (Post Mortem) Dean King, Blue
Warnings: General violence, death
Notes: I'm the president of the "I fucking hate Blue" club
Tumblr media
Just another spell, thats how it'd been described to Dean by the villager. It was a simple trade, Dean would allow her to test her spells on him, and he would get an emerald... Fine by him, he barely spent them but maybe the others would use them for something. The only difference with this one being the necessity for him to sleep, it wouldn't work awake... Something about wanting to scare the shit out of her brother, Dean barely listened as she spoke.
He did as instructed, laying down on her bed and doing his best to relax. Although he always hated resting in anyone else's bed, and both grew irritated with how long it took for him to actually drift into sleep. It was only when she stepped out of the room that he finally managed to slip away, his entire body easing into the mattress as his mind.
Dean only knew something was happening when his dream became much more... Real. He could feel grass sink further into the earth underneath his boots, the soft breeze pushing through the village- wait, a village? And at that, a very familiar one. But not the one from his recent adventures, no, from his past. Something that felt like it'd been years ago.
Coasty. He could recognize it from a mile away, the houses lining up the paths, the trees he'd slept in for God only knew how long, he could even see the jungle off in the distance. What the fuck was he doing back in Coasty? He'd left that place a long, long time ago, and for good reason. After Adams death and quick revenge, he had no reason to hang around... But this was supposed to be a nightmare, wasn't it?
Even he could admit that seeing the village freaked him out a bit, but nothing seemed particularly out of place. Looking around, he squinted while trying to make out any possible alteration from its original design. Something did stick out as he turned around however, a figure in the woods behind him.
It stood still amidst the trees, something in one hand, from a distance it looked to be nothing more than some tool. At the end of it, something stuck out to the side, but it seemed oddly extended to be anything like a pickaxe or hoe. That's when he caught sight of the other side, something stuck out that end too, but it quickly became hidden as it went behind the figures back.
"Whos that?" Dean called out, standing a little taller as he craned his neck to the side. "Adam? Daisy? Rex?" He continued, naming one after another after a moment of silence with the last. The silence disturbed him, something like that was hard enough to do as is.
His heart practically leapt out of his throat when the figure began moving closer, the darkness beginning to be shined out by the sun, it's light beginning to reveal the figure and it's item. Brown loafers, dark dress pants- a familiar cross.
That was Adams cross.
He'd shoddily put it together himself, sticking it at the end of Adams resting place before leaving for the final time. And there was only one bastard Dean knew here that dressed like that, and as he continued to come into the light, Dean's stare grew into something dark.
A dried red painted the once black suit and shirt into a much more gruesome scene, and that's when Dean saw his neck. It looked as though something forced the head atop it to stay in place, some other unnatural force. He couldn't help how his heartrate began to quicken, thumping harder and harder until it felt like either he or it was going to explode.
Of course he knew it was supposed to scare him, but why did it have to bring Blue back?
"Why didn't I get a cross, Dean?" Blue questioned, his voice rumbling throughout the air and echoing. "Because I didn't wanna waste the wood on you." He shrugged, doing his best to keep a facade of an unwavering ease about him. "...sounds like why I didn't give Ad-AAAm one. You remember that, DONT you? Finding him th-ere-ghh-"
Blues voice broke, practically shrieking at random intervals before finishing. "You keep his fucking name out of your mouth, you son of a bitch, say another fucking word about that- AND I'LL PUT YOUR FUCKING HEAD ON A STICK!" Rage, that kind of murderous rage that now flowed freely through Dean, it was something that he tried to keep on a leash for the most part.
But he figured this could be an exception.
He didn't bother to wait for an attack, Dean knew this was a nightmare- the bastard was long dead, and he wanted to make sure he died to his hands once more. Only one wrench in the gears stopped the initial attack however, and that was the cross itself.
Dean went to swing, his arm cocking back before being launched forward- and that's when the crosses edge blocked his arm and twisted it around, forcing the killer to yelp in a mix of surprise and amazement. Only in death could he finally put up a fight, no matter.
His sheer mass won him the grapple, pulling back onto the cross before sending his entire body forward, slamming into Blue and knocking him backwards. The crosses jagged edge made an unpleasant scraping sound against the path as he slid back onto the grass, "Still can't take a hit, even in my fuckin' mind? Thats-"
He wasn't allowed another word, Blue got himself back to his feet and rushed forward. One swing to the side with the cross, which was knocked back with Dean's elbow, promptly followed by an overhead swing that came crashing down. He'd be damned, maybe he couldn't just fuck around and beat Blue up this time.
The cross coming in overhead was grabbed onto with Dean's right hand, his other delivered a swift, yet powerful, liver shot. Even if Blue was a slime, it would hurt anyone, anyone but him apparently. As Blue responded with pulling the cross back into his control and jabbing it into Dean's chest, making him take a quick step back at the contact.
"What the fuck? SINCE WHEN CAN YOU TAKE A PUNCH?!" Dean shouted, not quite believing just what it was that he found himself staring at. Blue wasn't anything special, some son of a bitch who annoyed him to no end, there was a reason he still didn't regret ending him. So what the hell was that spell doing to Blue in his mind?
That was trivial now, as Blue began to run back towards Dean with the cross raised behind his back. Dean waited until the last possible second to step out of the way of his swing, it came down to the ground ahead of him before raising back upwards, was he trying to take Dean's fucking head off?!
...oh, Christ, was he?
Stepping around him quickly, Dean grabbed onto Blues suit jacket from behind and pulled him in closer, allowing him to wrap one arm around his neck. His elbow locked his neck firmly into place, and he could feel an odd pulse against it. Any pulse from a slime was out of the ordinary, but this one felt- different. It felt as if though it were biting him, actually.
Dean pressed Blue closer to him as he began to choke, staring down at him with his teeth gritting. There were no threats to pass, no witty comments to one another, only a fight that would lead to one of their destructions. And Dean would be damned if he died to BLUE of all people, it'd be easier to say a goddamn sheep ate him alive.
No one would just allow themselves to be strangled however, which is why Blue continued to fight back and struggle. It infuriated Dean to no end, which is what drove him to end the fight at the first opportunity he saw. And that opportunity came as Adams cross was lifted up in Blues hands in a vain attempt to hit Dean with it from behind, perfect.
His free hand grabbed onto the cross and pulled it backwards, the arm that once choked Blue now unwrapping from his throat, a small breather he didn't get the chance to relish. Dean kicked Blue forward onto the dirt before planting the cross firmly into the ground and pushing downwards, making sure it wouldn't budge with the few seconds he had as Blue stood back up.
Blue wouldn't just quit fighting, but that played perfectly in Dean's favor. He grabbed onto Blues neck with both hands and raised him up off the ground, staring for only a moment before turning back around. He stepped towards the cross, and in one rushed movement, Dean slammed Blue down.
The sound of ripping, a scream, and then something dripping, those are the sounds that followed.
That still jagged end of the cross now stuck through Blues chest, tearing right through his jacket and body and leaving him pressed into it. The edges held him up, practically having him on display for Dean to watch, and he shrieked out in pain as he was viciously impaled.
Blood oozed from his large, open wounds, he'd would never understand just how a slime carried blood inside of him but he truly wasn't complaining. That blood ran down the wood and surrounded the grass around the crosses set place, a horrifyingly beautiful sight.
Dean stayed quiet as he stared on, a bright white began to overtake the entire area, blinding him completely and forcefully ripping him away from his handiwork. Instead of being able to stay and admire it, he returned to that bed, the villager staring down at him with a nervous expression plastered onto her face.
"So.." She cleared her throats after a few moments of awkward silence, "Did it- did it work? If not I can swap out one of th-" "It works." Dean assured her, sitting up and getting off the bed.
"Believe me, it fuckin' works."

I love blue beetle and its message and I wish more people had watched it and I understand that the lack of promotion both because of the strikes and because the studios don't give a shit has affected it negatively and the role that racism/xenophobia play in people's disinterest towards the characters in general BUT PLEASE let's also not forget about superhero fatigue

𝐂𝐋𝐗𝐈𝐕. Thinking about the Archon War, even though in-game it's hypothesized by various sources that it started because the gods began battling each other to have one of the thrones in their possession, I think it started as a result of the effects of the Apocalypse in Teyvat. By this I mean to say that if the dragons, higher beings than gods themselves were affected by it and some even died because of it, it's plausible to think that gods were equally affected (if not worse) and started fighting one another due to the effects of the Forbidden Knowledge, messed up as they are.

Okay okay, so Tim finds out Bruce is stuck in the timestream and gathers all his siblings + Barbara for a meeting, presenting his evidence, a drafted plan of action to save Bruce . . .
. . . And asks what to do with this information
They all come to an agreement / majority vote
l e t h i m d i e
=========
Once upon a time they thought that Gotham, the world, that they, all needed Batman
Now that isn't the case anymore
Oh he was mourned, by the Justice League, by his allies, by civilians . . .
But the Batfamily has grown into their own, they've found a way to fight for Gotham, Bludhaven, Crime Alley because they've inherited the Fear of Batman
They've found their own ways to instill the fear of them into the criminal world
Their territories are becoming better even despite their Patriarch being dead
And they feel less dead than they were becoming under his thumb
The Dark Knight is Dead; Long Live The Dark Knights
· · ·
People questioned what would happen with the Prince of Gotham dead
Tim tried becoming CEO, but Jason stepped in himself to take the mantle from right under him, citing he was too young and should enjoy his childhood while it still lasted
That started quite a fight between them
Duke Thomas was adopted by Jason and while not technically joining the family's nightlife, Signal could always be found while the sun was up
Gotham's bones broke, organs failed, and flesh was bitten off
Gotham has never been better since Batman or even The Second Robin died
Praise the Batfamily
This is happiness . . .
?
=========
Somebody finds out they let Batman die
Be it the Justice League, other heroes, their rogues, or another hero's rogues, or somebody else entirely
They find out
Do other groups learn by themselves? Does this knowledge come into the hands of people who would spread it?
Either way, the Batclan is going to have to confront that it's known they let Batman die
Is the knowledge it used maliciously, is the accuser wanting answers, or is it a mix of both
Gosh, what will Alfred think if he learns? I imagine that even if he enabled Bruce's abuse they kept him around, stick close enemies and friends after all
(me thinks personally that Joker is throwing a fit with his nemesis dead, and he may not even be able to abuse the fact his own kids killed him cuz it was a child abuser who was killed by his abused)
(but I'd love to see your take on Joker's pov when he only knows Batman is dead and if he learns his kids left him for dead and if he learns they were abused by him and that's why they let him die)
Now I'm wondering what would happen if it got leaked to the public that the Batfamily knew Batman could've been saved but did nothing about it. There could be so many different reactions from different groups
Crime Alley people, criminals, people outside Gotham, Gothamites themselves, and Bludhaven residents would have different takes collectively methinks
Fucking hell, that isn't even accounting for all the fuckery you could do w/ Bruce Wayne = Batman and I'm not talking about an post-mortem identity reveal, I'm talking identity shenanigans
Like say the bats knowing they could have saved Bruce but left him for dead and somebody/some group learns this and leaks it
And then Jason steps in to say "you know the FUCK what? We knew our old man could have been saved and since he was shit we voted/agreed to let him die!!" And all hell breaks loose
And that's just one example!
=========
Inspired by that ask on Jason calling for a family meeting after learning Bruce is stuck in the timestream to figure out what to do from there
+ the one post where Dick tries and fails to get Tim to give up on Bruce so he doesn't embark on BruceQuest and Bruce dies in the Timestream
w/ Cassandra in particular, it'd be fun to explore her psyche in the Vote branch, if she votes to let Bruce die or not considering her "No Kill" stance
Heck, with both branches they alone bring so much fun to the table, even without the flavor of The Reveal
Agreement: You get the explore a world where all the bat kids + Barbara want Bruce dead, by why is it? You get to see all their reasons for it, and how their reasonings may mesh or clash and how they come to make their decisions!
Majority Vote: You get to see the conflicts between those who want him back and want him dead + what they do and think knowing who voted for what then onwards
Bonus if a batsibling or two start of wanting Bruce back but then decide they want him gone, or the reverse, or they flip flop again and again until they make their choice
Either branch I think would overhaul the Batfamily's relationships w/ each other in a major way and not just because someone has to take Bruce's spot as the family head or whatever, but because they chose/voted for said Patriarch to die
That's a big fucking deal
Oh yeah, Duke; is he ever taught about the (technically not) Patricide committed? Or do they keep him ignorant because ignorance is bliss?
Because if he learns through means other than them, yeah it'll be a shit show the Bats won't be prepared for beforehand
Oh yeah what about Gordon? Do you think he'd be in the know or learn via leaks or a leaker cuz he's kind of Barbara's family
Hello!!!!!!!!!!
Tw: abuse, death, murder, child abuse, suicide (let me know if I need to add more)
I love this idea, and I'm totally up for breaking it down.
If it's not an agreement, then it's likely that the ones who disagree will try to save Bruce regardless of what everyone else wants
This will turn into an all-out war as those who want Bruce dead try to prevent the others from succeeding. It would be like a weird version of capture the flag, clue, and escape the room. The save-Bruce team (whether out of love or duty) would need to gather all the evidence that Tim did while fending off attacks and working against the clock (there comes a point in time that it's too late to save Bruce).
Even if they all agree, it's still complicated feelings wise.
Bruce is an abusive piece of shit (especially in this AU), but it's hard to not love your abuser. The cycle of abuse is difficult to break out of. I think Dick and Jason would be at the point they are more apathetic to Bruce's care/love. They are adults who don't rely on him. They might still love Bruce, but it's easier for them to put a defense against the man emotionally to the point of condoning his murder.
Babs and Steph aren't his kids, so, while their feelings aren't black and white, it's easier to distance themselves from Bruce.
Canonically, I think Tim recently got adopted by Bruce. This makes it harder for him to outright reject Bruce. When given evidence (and shown what Bruce did to his other family members), Tim might come to the conclusion that it's better off without Bruce.
Damian is a child who just got to meet his dad. I doubt he'd be on board with this plan nor, with his hero worship, would he be able to find faults in him. He simply hasn't spent enough time with Bruce (and lots of angst to be explored there. Basically, his "siblings" that he's just met are telling him it's better for him if their dad is dead).
Cass loves Bruce. She trusts his mission, what he's supposed to stand for, and that he does love his kids (she can see that he truly does love everyone). At the same time, he hurts her siblings. She doesn't agree with leaving Bruce to die, but her feelings are complicated on the matter.
How the batkids feel about Alfred is similar (although not categorically per a kid) as they feel about Bruce
If they've reached the point where they have acknowledged that Alfred will never be on their side nor protect them, they still love that old man. They want him to be around, they would be sad at his death, but they know Alfred could and has hurt them. They know Alfred would choose Bruce over them.
The JL find out Bruce isn't actually dead with the Black Lantern battle thing.
Theoretically, other heroes can then start trying to save Bruce. Without canon Tim's information, though, they might not be able to. Bonus points to this batfam au if Oracle and others actively sabotage their efforts.
Gordon would be presented with all the evidence that Batman was an abusive piece of shit.
The Commissioner would try to bury any feelings of grief out of guilt for what he's unknowingly allowed his ex friend to get away with. If he knew that Batman was the same boy he threw a jacket over at the scene of that kid's parents' murder, he would sit at his desk with a bottle of scotch and a lit cigarette trying to figure out where it all went wrong. Jim would blame himself, curse Batman, and, as he curses himself for always allowing, do not a damn thing against what the masked vigilantes tell him to do.
Crime Alley and Bludhaven respectively probably would either not give a fuck, say "good riddance," or whistle at the fact the Bat's own kids refused to save him.
Gothamites know their vigilantes. If the batkids had refused to help Batman, than they trust the kids. There's nothing out there that would turn a man's entire family against him besides the man himself. By the end of the week, all Batman related stuff is burnt and replaced by the many symbols of the birds.
Anyone outside of Gotham (besides Bludhaven) will criticize the batkids. Gotham becomes fiercely protective over their birds after that and will fist fight anyone who tries to talk shit about them or their decision.
Fuck Joker, but here's how I think he felt about it.
Man definitely lost his shit in a fit of giggles. It seems (though Joker is slightly disappointed he wasn't part of the final showdown) that Batman was dragged down to the level of madness he swore he'd never go to. If Batman's kids turned against him, oh that must mean that the furry freak truly did horrendous actions against them!
That clown spends several weeks coming up with twisted fantasies and theories to ask out of the Birds to tease out their reactions for when he next sees them. He wants to know exactly how the Dark Knight fell and what was so dastardly to turn children against their father.
After he solves that mystery? Dealer's choice. He doesn't quite get as much joy without Batman around. He can play around with Red Hood and Red Robin specifically (if JJ happened), but nobody is the Dark Knight.
Maybe his melancholy turns into rage where he starts seriously gunning for all the Birds for not returning Batman to him. That, or Joker kills himself cause his nemesis/obsession is gone. Both are likely responses.
Anyways, I also love the positive notes you had that I didn't address. The hopefulness of them doing better for Gotham and Jason adopting Duke is fantastic. I'd love more of that as well as everything else

Hal’s deactivation is hard hitting across both the movie and the book. It’s been dissected a million times and likely more in the future. Most recently in the way of Hal having little agency…he has no arms to ward off his attacker or means of defense (but I’d argue killing Frank and the others was his defense, especially in the movie when his reasoning is more ambiguous). I do love the idea this is following and hope to see more of it in the future, however the way I’m approaching it is with a more romantic lense.
The entire lobotomy sequence is heart wrenching and almost worse in the novel purely because we get to see Dave’s thoughts on it. Not only do we hear Hal’s frightened pleas for his life but we get the ‘attacker’ perspective and it’s… an act of mercy.
While there is the themes of survival and violence this is approached with a softer touch. It’s much more that he is putting Hal out of his misery. Ending his suffering. Not putting him down like an animal but rather the harsh decision faced when one has an ill/dying lover.
“The only answer was to cut out the higher centers of this sick but brilliant brain, and to leave the purely automatic regulating systems in operation” 155
After the job is done Dave forgives Hal incredibly quickly once all of the facts are in. He can quickly pull together the mental break that must’ve happened and recognizes that Hal had the very human ‘fight or flight’ response to what he had been through. He had always been treated like a sixth crew member, respected and talked to like anyone else but it is only “post Mortem” that Dave recognizes how human Hal was and that true emotion might be more than theorizing.
“And yet, in one very real sense, he was not alone. Before he could be safe, be must be lonelier still.” 153
The fact that Dave genuinely sees Hal as his last true connection. Even after the murders. How he fights and forgives and comes up with excuses to not have to go through with the enviable because then will he be truly alone… but he also knows logically- Hal isn’t right and can’t be left active. Despite his feelings safety and protocol come first.
Hal is human in Dave’s eyes and it makes things all the more tragic, it’s what turns shutting off functions into lobotomy, into murder. He thinks he won’t feel pain, not because he’s machine but because there’s no sense in the human cortex. So human that his “true” voice is unrecognizable and horrifying.
“Bowman could bare no more. He jerked out the last unit, and Hal was silent forever.” 157
It’s not rage which he makes the final blow, it’s sorrow. It’s pulling the plug.
Some of Hal’s lines in the book particularly, as we get more insight into him as well and some of his pleading. His honest to god confusion and panic because he’s so young and has no idea of sleep and …
“I don’t understand why you’re doing this to me. . . You are destroying my mind. . . Don’t you understand? I will become childish. . . I will be nothing. . .” 156
I don’t know, I’m becoming borderline incoherent but there’s something here that’s so tender and sorrowful that I have to address it. I’m a sucker for the violence = intimacy metaphor just as anyone but the unwitting murderer is also an angle I have to adore.
Maybe in another life Hal got to be a little gay Victorian with someone to hold his hand on his sick bed rather than be murdered. I just think he deserves better; they both do.
Computer death sad -> he should be fed soup
This is when you know you should go to bed.

Probably a common Kenny question but how do you think he'd react/feel if someone admitted to him that they're fully aware of his curse but never said or mentioned anything about it?
LMAO you've hit the spot hahahah I literally have an almost finished Fic Wip exactly about this topic so I've given it LOTS of thought.
Tumblr media
Okay first and foremost: Kenny isn't a very reactive guy. He's pretty good at keeping his negative emotions in check, probably owed to his upbringing where he always had to be the sane, calm and collected one to endure his home life (parentification let's go!!!). Instances like in the Coon & Friends trilogy (where he lashes out at Kyle) are pretty unique and rare, the only other time he gets similarly angry and acts on it happens in "Poor and Stupid" where Cartman mocks both NASCAR fans and people in poverty.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Deadass when his friends ditched him for Halloween bc he couldn't afford a phone for the e-scooter (ep "The Scoots") he wasn't even mad, even though he had every reason to be. He was just sad. Similarly in Post Covid; he revealed he'd been pissed at his friends for giving up on their broship, but what did he do? He studied and researched for decades how to go back in time and fix it, and post-mortem he left the option open for THEM to continue his work.
Tumblr media
My headcanon is that he tried and learned to be the calm one so Karen could have some semblance of stability in their home, but this situation you're describing wouldn't require him to stay strong for Karen (unless it's Karen that would remember his death). I'd say this is a pretty solid conclusion, drawn from his behavior in episodes like "The Poor Kid" and "The City Part of Town" (which ig are the only Karen and Kenny centric episodes lol). I still think (because of "Going Native" and how he handled Butters' emotional issues) that Kenny simply defaults to understanding and a rational caretaker role, no matter the person. Heck, he was even kind enough to leave Cartman his PSP (ep "Best Friends Forever") because he feels bad for Cartman's loneliness. If you have empathy with an IRL Cartman, there's no one you wouldn't be understanding with.
Tumblr media
Having an analysis of Kenny's temper tendencies out of the way, I'm gonna move on to the next statement: I think it might slightly depend on WHO this hypothetical person was, the one who "admitted to him that they're fully aware of his curse but never said or mentioned anything about it."
There's two main reasons that this could even happen:
1: The person is so freaked out by this situation that they were afraid to say anything for a long time, they possibly even thought they might be insane and imagining things
2: The person is Cartman
Tumblr media
And because I kinda analyzed this in my fic (not yet published), I'm gonna reference it a little and explain my decisions.
The fic's premise is that in a sudden turn, Butters remembers Kenny's last death. Butters freaks out when he sees Kenny come back and after initially lashing out at Kenny thinking he's a ghost coming to haunt him (like in "The Death of Eric Cartman"), he later apologizes to Kenny, concluding he just imagined his death and is insane. (Butters has been conditioned to not trust his mind & brain, assigned mental disorders when there's nothing wrong with him in the aforementioned episode as well as in "City Sushi", so I felt that this makes sense) This makes Butters a perfect contestant for scenario 1.
Tumblr media
What did I have Kenny do? Well, in my fic Kenny is overjoyed to finally have someone that would believe him about his curse, but that's not the scenario you provided. But given Kenny's temper patterns and savior complex/caretaker tendencies (gestures at the entire Mysterion arc and anything to do with Karen, including the TFBW DLC "From Dusk Til Casa Bonita", and also "Going Native" where he swiftly accepts his role as support system for Butters), I find it pretty solid to assume he would show a lot of understanding for why the person didn't say anything before. It's a lot to digest to watch someone die, even more if they just... come back? And everyone else acts like nothing happened? On SEVERAL occasions?? Like, Kenny is the first to relate to that sentiment. He'd be understanding about everything the person would be confused & distressed about, and also the reasons why they didn't say anything before.
Tumblr media
After Kenny gets his understanding & patient savior complex stuff out of the way, I imagine him slowly going insane trying to figure out WHY this person remembers. That's the second part of the premise in my fic; Kenny and Butters try to figure out why Butters remembers, and why now, and Kenny's main motive is because he wants to find a way for his best friends to remember. The Coon & Friends trilogy proves that Kenny is very distressed by Stan and Kyle not remembering, they mean a lot to him. He feels safer and more comfortable with them than probably with his own family. In my fic, his attempts at figuring out why Butters remembers end up with no results and Kenny slowly starts losing it, lashing out at his friends for feelings of resentment he had long buried and his rational temper control starts cracking more and more. I feel like this is how he'd react in any case of anyone remembering his death, as long as it's not Stan or Kyle. I doubt either Stan or Kyle would ever even wind up as the person to be aware of his curse and not tell him. Especially not Kyle.
Tumblr media
Scenario 2 is if Kenny found out that Cartman remembers, has remembered since forever, and never said a word. In my fic (spoiler alert?) Kenny doesn't even deal with Cartman. He just goes straight home to pull out his gun and shoot himself lmaooo he does this because he wants to talk to Satan in Hell and demand answers, bc he doesn't know who else to turn to. In Chaos Plan I have a bit where I describe my take on Kenny's general feelings towards Cartman canonically showing signs of remembering his deaths, and the quote goes like this:
"Kenny often wonders if Cartman does remember his deaths, but is simply too much of a shithead to say anything about them." (Chaos Plan chapter 17)
Kenny is a big "Do no harm but take no shit" kinda guy when it comes to Cartman. He doesn't fight him when it's pointless and prefers to preserve his energy (unlike Kyle), but he does call him out on his bullshit occasionally (at least when it's targeted against Kenny and/or his family). Kenny is also scarily emotionally mature for a 9/10 year old (makes sense bc of his upbringing) so I doubt he'd get his hopes up about ever getting some kind of compassion or collaborative effort from Cartman to figure out what's up with his curse's mechanics. While Kenny and Cartman have an interesting friendship, and Kenny is kind of Cartman's soft spot, I can still imagine Kenny thinking "sure, my luck that the worst possible person remembers my deaths and no one else" and kind of be apathetic about it, kind of like he is by the end of the Coon & Friends trilogy before he shoots himself lmaoooo
So yeah, that's what I think :)) You said the question is common but honestly if it is, then it's for good reason because it's one of the most interesting ones the entire show of South Park has provided. I'm probably biased lol but still, thank you so much for the ask anon <3 I hope you weren't expecting a short answer ahahahahah

"Stop making them gay"
The main reason a lot of male characters in Naruto didn't have a chance with each other despite being written like lovebirds, is because Shonen doesn't do "gay". Itachi was canonically more attached to Shisui than to Izumi and Naruto more to Sasuke than to Hinata, but Shonen insists to be traditionally masculine, and traditional masculinity rejects what it assumes of homosexuality minus its allowance for "manly tears" or flamboyant outfits. Instead, it exaggerates male friendships/brotherhood to a point that is far from credible and has to screech "no homo" as a constant disclaimer. The Naruto franchise may have started "low key shipping" SNS as a joke, but it's not a baseless one at all.
ShiIta are so similar to Romeo & Juliet, it's ridiculous. While they weren't from warring clans, they were loyal to warring entities and bound to be pitted against each other in the coup if it had gone down and Shisui been alive. The conflict between the Uchiha clan and Konoha was in the way of them being as close as they wanted to be, with Shisui being tasked to spy on Itachi and Itachi tasked to spy on the clan Shisui was loyal to, so they had to meet secretly. Ultimately, they were both sacrificed for peace and for what was left of their respective allegiances (Sasuke and Konoha).
Naruto stepped in repeatedly when Itachi was beating up Sasuke, but kept pushing Hinata to fight Neji against whom she clearly stood no chance and who was intending to kill her, because he is pathologically ready to disrespect Sasuke's wishes to save him, but projected his own, naive ideals onto Hinata with no regard for her life, just because it made HIM mad to watch. I mean, he was visibly shocked when Hinata confessed to him 16 years into their lives... She was never a priority in his life before The Last, and he probably would have equally lost it if Pain had beaten up Moegi that way, because he was already livid over Jiraiya, Kakashi, the village etc. and wasn't about to stand for one more friend getting killed by this terrorist. Hinata, at that time, meant little more to him than his other classmates, Sasuke did and always has. He literally asked her why she'd risk her life for him because he did not see or feel anything that would make that question redundant. Izumi wasn't mentioned once post-mortem except vaguely, by Obito, while Shisui's influence on Itachi, both ideological and emotional, is canon gospel. It's so great that I can't help but wonder if he used Kotoamatsukami on Itachi before giving him his remaining eye. "Friendship" and "brotherhood" are NOT "emotional co-dependency and self-destructive emulation". Neither is a healthy romantic relationship, but people in fiction more typically go insane over or sacrifice their authentic self for, (lost) romance than (lost) friendship or siblings.
There's also nothing platonic about stalking your "friend" to a point where he feels compelled to kill you while you're screaming that you're gonna break all of his bones if that's what it takes to keep him by your side. Nothing cute or sane either, mind you. Sasuke and Naruto are a lot like Sarah and Setsuna of Angel Sanctuary. Sure, they're meant to be siblings or sibling-like, but DAMN that's not a sibling-appropriate degree of obsession.
Shonen has a tendency to exaggerate the importance of bonds and convictions, but Kishimoto took it to a level that has licensing companies make jokes in the form of couple-coded merch or fan service scenes. Even if he didn't do it on purpose, he clearly did it on such a blatantly obvious level that you get shit like this:

♡synopsis: Lee Heeseung loved the feeling of falling in love, wanting to kill or die for a girl he knows would stay loyal to him. He got unlucky thrice, the three cheaters now rotting 6 feet underground, post mortem reports manipulated. Then he laid his eyes on her. Y/n. A girl looking for not just love, but commitment, someone she can trust blindly, knowing he'll be there for her. A match made in heaven right? too bad for her, he's a fucking psycho.
✧♡✧♡✧♡✧♡⁺₊⋆☾⋆⁺₊♡✧♡✧♡✧♡✧
Y/n sat at the café table Criminology book open before her, Laptop just beside, her jaw rested on her palm. A large Matcha bubble tea that was barely halfway finished as she loved to drink expensive drinks like this, slowly. She had been taking notes of what she believes she needs to remember for her exam. 2 hours of revising, and she found herself getting distracted. "Baby I'll be home before you know it, yeah just at work right now" a male said into his phone, hanging up straight after.
Infront of him, another girl too a seat, a sweet smile, looking at him as if he's her world, he leaned into kiss her. Men. so fucking un loyal. Why is it so hard to find a man who could do the bare minimum and not expect something? Was she asking for too much?. the girl heaved a sigh to herself, feeling bad for whoever the unlucky girl was. She got on with typing her notes, not even getting distracted by a rather pretty man who had walked in.
However he was immediately captivated by her beauty. Black hair, a few blonde pale highlights, glossy lips, long lashes, and a very attractive sense in style. One would take a look at her and assume she's some rebellious teenager, only Heeseung saw a girl waiting to be loved, to be held in his safe arms, someone looking for her soulmate. He wants her, he needs her, I mean she's literally made just for him.
Lucky for him, most tables were full, he ordered a drink as he approached her "excuse me... you don't mind me sitting next to you do you?... all the other tables are well... full-" Heeseung said as y/n looked around. There were some empty tables, but she was a bit socially awkward around strangers, not wanting to get on the strangers bad side, she nodded with a soft smile, moving over a little. Heeseung sat beside her, leaving plenty of space. He took out his laptop as he got on with his work. Eventually she went to the restroom, leaving her phone behind with him. Using the little time he had, he bugged her phone and placed it just where it was before.
Since that day, he kept track of all of the people she knew. The girl was walking home one day, looking over her shoulder every few minutes, trying to shake off the feeling that someone was following her. It was late at night, she lives alone, the last thing she needs is to lure a demon into her safe space. So she decided to make sure of that, assuming that singing and vibing to the music she was listening to as she skipped home would de-attract any potential stalkers.
Heeseung found it cute seeing how she was really getting into her music. See to him, he assumed she was acting as if she was in a music video, just because she thought no one was around. She's just so fucking cute in his eyes. So fucking cute. Especially when she's begging and crying, her little brain trying it's best to process what was going on.
Heeseung made a little pouty face as he bent down to her level. He just kidnapped her, the girl now tied up in his basement, her mascara-tear stained face in his view. He wiped away her tears as he planted a soft kiss on her lips. "Oh don't cry pretty baby... I'm only here to protect you... I love you y/n and I know you will love me. but for that you need to stay at home with me." He explained.
5 days had passed since then. Y/n was stick in this ginormous palace-like mansion. Stunning, intricate designs in the walls, golden patterns in the roof, an elegant, dazzling chandelier in the centre of the room. Heeseung was too sweet, he's everything she needs but dangerous. He's fucking perfect, but a sick psycho. Y/n feels herself falling for him, yet she fears him.
Heeseung smiles when he sees y/n, her eyes scanning the window with a pout. There was a little bunny in the garden and y/n wanted to play with it, but now that bunny was no more, either it's been hunted down or it found a better place to graze. "Sweetheart... come here I have something for you" Heeseung called out as y/n silently walked over to him. The man slipped the opaque sheet off of a pretty big square-shaped item.
The item was a fairly big bunny cage, with 2 little fluffy bunnies, one white and one had brown spots. Y/n audibly gasped as she squealed "So so cute!!!!" she said smiling, the girl hugged him tightly as Heeseung smiled, hugging her back, kissing her forehead as she blushed at his acts. He's the one. Others may call her crazy for falling for a kidnapper... but how could she not? in a world full of whores and cheaters, this man seems so... human.
"c'mere bunny~" y/n cooed softly as the small white bunny that was at Heeseung's foot. She stroked the spotty one, playing with his ears. "I'm going to call you.... Rocky!... then I'll call her Reena, because Rocky and Reena are a couple!" she said with a smile. Heeseung snickerred finding her so sweet, her love for animals being so intriguing to him.
Y/n rested upon Heeseung's chest. He had killed quite a few men on the streets today, but you found it romantic, he killed those perverted catcallers just for you. "Baby... I want a pet baby pig" y/n pouted as Heeseung snickerred "I think that's impossible sweetie, we can visit a petting zoo, but I doubt they'd like us since we did eat pork today..." He pointed out as y/n giggled, her eyes meeting his. They kissed, the sickeningly sweet, addictive taste of his saliva filling her mouth. Never has she ever felt so loved before...
✧♡✧♡✧♡✧♡⁺₊⋆☾⋆⁺₊♡✧♡✧♡✧♡✧
Rocky and Reena were my bunnies, but they passed along w their 3 babies, only Suzi survived of the 4 babies they had</3 my poor bbys

Concerning the underwater skeleton army timeloop
Captain, the cadavers are starting to question the morality of their actions, what would you suggest for some good old post-mortem morale?
I will need the full report to administer any advice, lieutenant.
When the tide is low the sun strikes them, hard. Through their stomachs, which aren't there but the memory is almost matter when memory is most of you. They sing hymns but they have forgotten the words, so they're making them up as they go and they always end up being about hope. In any case, the cadavers are starting to question how the passage of time has become a circle and when they're getting off.
When we reign victorious over the ocean, lieutenant.
With all the respect, captain, the ocean is their home more than anything has been before.
Are you implying mutiny?
More that immunity to death has wrought more peace than the likes of us can grasp. The other side is looking marrow soft and awful tranquil. I am implying the waves have smoothed the edges of rocks and grudges both. I am implying the fire is in the blood.
Have you taken disciplinary action?
Spare and sparse, only reaction, nothing drastic enough to shatter their spirits or their bones - you must understand, down here there are few punishments to administer that are more radical than their normal, that with no lives left to fear for. Without light they make song. Without rest they invent a tranquility suitable for their form, and we have yet to come up with solitary confinement that would keep the sea life from making homes in the scaffolding of their bodies. Simply put, what I do is only enough for a distraction.
What?
Oh, just one more thing, sir. Have you taken into account how time flows? The cycles follow the tide and if you're little more than memory it hardly matters how long it's been, there are precious few things to measure and those more often than not the tide carries anyway. Do you think this is the first time we're having this talk?
Won't be the last, lieutenant. That I can make damn sure of.
Trust me captain, I know. Looking forward to it. Maybe next time you'll figure what it is for.

Albedo spent sixty years rescuing Nahida from her cage, because he was looking for a challenge to test himself against. He didn't spend much time thinking about how, after the rush of satisfaction had faded, he would be in possession of a newborn god of wisdom who was so lost she tried to go back into her cage.
"Why are you here?" she asked, puzzled, as soon as the door to her cage opened. "There's so much-- You did so much, so why are you here?"
He stared at her as all of his sense of accomplishment washed away.
She began to gabble. "I knew something was happening, I could see your echoes, the ripples like a fish underwater, and I didn't know what you could want but I helped you when I could, because I wanted to see them beaten so why are you here?"
Because this is the finish line. But he knew better than to say that. Instead, he ran a rapid post-mortem on his plans over the last sixty years. When had the flaw been introduced, and how could he compensate for it?
"Okay," she said into the silence. "Now what?" Her eyes reminded him of glass marbles.
"I don't know what you want me to do," she said bitterly after a moment. "There's nothing I can do."
It was a worldview alien to Albedo. Ever since his mother abandoned him, he'd practiced turning his knowledge into power over the world around him. Before they called him a mastermind, they called him a meddler, and usually he didn't bother tidying up when he was done.
"Oh. I see," she said, drawing her own conclusion and dropping her gaze. "You didn't come for me after all. How stupid I am."
And even then, he struggled. He could see the potential shapes of the consequence he'd created and he didn't like them. He'd done something terrible and he had to repair it, but how--??
Tears began to spill from those green eyes. "I'm sorry, I'm just not good enough yet. I shouldn't... I shouldn't get involved." And, wiping her eyes, she'd turned to step back into the cage.
That, at least, he could respond to. "No, don't do that. It would only make things worse."
"What?" She half-turned, her mouth open in surprise.
"Would you like something to eat or drink?" That was probably a safe thing to ask in the situation. The government imprisoning her had been thoroughly disabled that morning. And newborns were often hungry.
"What?" she repeated, and then ran over to him. "Did you change your mind?"
Pleasantly, he said, "I think you did, but that's not an important detail at the moment. Why don't we sit down and talk about a few things?"
She promptly sat down, looking up at him with clear curiosity. He sat down on the ground too, refining his evaluation of her. "First of all, do you have a name of your own? One that doesn't belong to the Archon?"
"Nahida," she said, possibly for the first time. She looked a little surprised, in any case.
"I'm happy to meet you, Nahida. My name is Albedo." He gave her a friendly smile, and she stared at him like she was decoding his face. "Let's try to figure out what you'd like to do now."
"May I ask a question first?" She spoke with a respectfulness he didn't deserve. Not from her, anyhow. He'd have to earn it first.
"Please do. I'll do my best to answer it." While she formulated her thoughts, he began to synthesize some fish snacks he hoped she'd find palatable.
"Beyond your name, who are you?" It was a question carefully considered, and not the one he expected. But her earnest gaze remained fixed on him.
He considered his own response. It wasn't a question he was in the habit of answering. "Mostly, I plan things for other people. I'm quite clever and I've lived a long time compared to most, so I have certain advantages I enjoy sharing. In quite a few places, I'm considered a criminal, because what I help people do is often illegal. " He offered her the fish snacks. "I also engage in projects of my own, like this one."
She accepted one and nibbled on it. He observed as her eyes widened and she nibbled a bit more before finally making a face and putting it down. "I don't know how to taste it right. I'll work on it later."
"Is that what you want to do?" He saw this as a natural way of leading back to the core topic, but when she flinched, admitted to himself that such directness might have been a little cruel after already thrusting so much change on her unannounced.
"Do you think it tastes good?" she asked him uncertainly.
"Yes, I do."
She thought for a moment. "I'd like to learn to like it too, then. And I want to stay with you, please."
Did gods imprint? He'd never looked into the question. But the truth remained: she might be the god of wisdom, but she was also a powerful and traumatized child. If he walked away now, one way or another, she'd show up in his life again, the worse for it.
Calmly, he said, "Yes, I thought you might say that. Do you also want to rule Sumeru?"
She shrugged, curled up in a ball, rocked back and forth. "Sumeru is a dream to me, a world on the other side of pages and glass." Then she sat up again. "But you are somebody I never imagined existed. That seems more interesting than governing a country that doesn't want me to exist, all by myself."
"I agree," he said. "Still, having Sumeru on a stable footing may be useful in the future, so we should probably sort out the knot I made before we go on our way."

Oil is Thicker Then Blood (Part 24)
TW: Kinda Gross.
It took awhile for the new “Doorman Family.” To adjust to their new living situation, Uzi had begun to pack up her old room, and a few boxes of stuff had already been packed in and sat on the kitchen counter. Tera was spending the day with Khan and Uzi.
While N was doing something… rather unpleasant.
Despite the container Uzi had made him lasting a long time, it did still need to be refilled once a week, and he'd already been out for two days. He just… hadn't felt like going out and getting more, it had been so comfortable to not worry about it for over a week.
But with his internal temperature beginning to pass the double digits and into the triple, he couldn't put it off any longer, he needed to go out again.
And while he could head to the nursery and ask for some, with the amount he would need every week he felt as if he would be taking oil from the mom's and babies who needed it. It was the same reason he never touched Uzi's stash, she needed it, and she needed more when she was the one filtering it for Tera as well.
So instead, he was going to the only other place in the bunker where there was a surplus of oil nobody would miss.
Doll's room.
He didn't entirely love that idea, but Doll hadn't been seen for months, and her room had been completely untouched for that time too, unless V had snuck in for a snack.
Plus, he didn't want to leave the bunker if he didn't have to, his family was here, and trying to go out, find a corpse to siphon from (which wouldn't even fill half his bottle) and trying to be back by morning was going to be a tight squeeze, and he didn't feel like going back to risking his neck every night when he had someone waiting for him to get back.
Heh, someone waiting for him.
Even though he was one of the most dangerous things in the bunker, or even on Copper-9 he still felt nervous to go back there, his footfalls feeling heavy and hesitant as he drew closer to the hallway it was located. The air around him was full of tension, even if the rest of the drones were going about their normal day.
When the door swooped open, the lights were off, concealing what was truly in the room, and he made sure it was closed behind him before he took a deep breath to steady himself. Other drones didn't need to see this, he didn't want to see it, but he had a task at hand, and well, he was already here.
And he turned on the light.
The first thing his eyes landed on was the braided chains hanging from the ceiling, coated in coagulatied oil, various limbs stuffed between the chain links awkwardly, bent horribly as they were forced through without care if they fit or not.
He really didn't like being in here, somehow it was more eerie then the spire, not just because he was used to it, the corpses that made it up were cleaned out and empty, nothing but burned out servos and warped metal. Drained of every livegiving drop of oil long ago.
The ones here still seemed to move. Each coated in it's own oil that had semi-hardened with time, glistening, dripping rhythmicly like a long forgotten sink. Doll was essentially practicing bloodletting, letting oil drip from their wounds and settle into buckets placed below the chains, helped by gravity.
She'd been methodical in her work, she didn't have fangs, so every wound that was inflicted “post mortem” was small, calculated and near perfect, maximized for draining every drop of oil into the buckets below, a part of him was impressed, even J hadn't been this efficient when she was feeding.
He let out a shaky breath, trying not to linger here any longer than required to get this done. He went over to the closest full bucket, the smell (oh why did his creator give him a sense of smell?) was nearly overpowering, so sickly sweet it made his mouth water, and his eyes burn, a conflict between his morality and his knawing hunger.
He pulled out his container and began to gingerly pour out the buckets contents into it, trying to ignore the constant skittering of the robo-roaches above him, clinging to the bodies that were closest to the ceiling.
“Come on, come on, come on.” He whispered to himself, feeling the jitters crawl up his back with every moment he lingered. He felt as though someone or something was watching him
Maybe it was the pungent smell, or the lighting that was somehow bathed the room in red, but he could almost hear… whispers, spoken by the bodies around him, begging him to help them, to save them.
Or to join them.
Finally, his container was full, but by then his hands were trembling and he didn't put the bucket back down gracefully, it clattered to the ground, breaking the relative silence in the room, suddenly all the skittering stopped, as did the whispers.
He froze for a moment, halfway expecting something to jump him for daring to make so much noise. He gulped, glancing to both of his sides before she sighed, he was just being paranoid. Doll wasn't here, no one was-
There was a clatter from the bedroom.
His head and his stinger both whipped in that direction, all his sensors snapping into fight mode, he grabbed his container and held it close to him, an instinctual growl escaping him.
His desire to make sure it was nothing, to make sure it wasn't a threat to his family, drove him forward. His legs pushed him even through his apprehension, and the silence was genuinely deafening, every sensor, every ounce of processing power was being used to take in every single detail. His eyes disappeared, replaced by the iconic “X” that disassembly drones were known for.
As he creeped into the bedroom and flicked on the light, he found, for starters, that it was a completely normal bedroom, it was clean, tidy, and thankfully distant from the oppressive carnage present in the rest of the apartment.
He roamed all seven of his eyes all over the room, finding that nothing was out of place as far as he could tell, but… he knew he heard something, he didn't imagine it.
He took a step farther into the room, before he tripped, his body lurching forward and slamming into the carpet, he yelped, the fall taking the “X” off his face, and a hiss of pain as his visor smacked the floor, producing a very shallow crack.
“Agh…” He groaned, lifting himself up slowly, his nanites already fixing the hairline fracture before he'd even noticed he'd hurt himself.
He stood up and looked back at the doorway, where he felt his core jump up into his throat.
On the floor was something slick, black, and pulsing as if it was alive, he felt his breath hitch as he immediately brought out a sword, ready to fight whatever being it was connected to.
But it only continued to lie there, still aside from the rhythmic pulses as if it had a heart that was beating. His eyes trailed along the… tentacle… vein? to see where it lead, only for it to seem to dissappear underneath the bed.
He'd seen this before, attached to centipede J. But this one seemed… inert. He slowly moved towards it, his sword still drawn from his hand as he brought the tip of it closer.
He poked it, and watched as it flinched away from the sharp tip but didn't move, the pulsing growing more frantic at the contact.
He didn't know wether he wanted to scream like a bitch and run away, or vomit. What the heck was this? This growth in Doll's room that should be attached to something organic, that was just… on the floor.
He poked it again, it flinched again, but still made no moves to well… move.
He wasn't sure what to do, this wasn't normal, what if this thing got out? Was it just deciding not to move or was it stuck there? What was it attached to?
He took another deep breath, this was freaky… but he didn't seem to be actively in danger, so he put his sword away, replacing it with his hand, and leaned down next to the king sized bed, lifting up the covers to peer underneath it.
He found that the vein wasn't attached to anything accept to the underside of the bed, where it was held there by a strange red… mass that resembled moss, if moss smelled of iron, and seemed to squirm, carrying the same pulses the vein was making, a heartbeat, or breathing.
Small black veins ran through the moss, much like the circulatory system in something that was organic and much larger. N gulped before deciding that he wanted to see if this too, was stationary, and unsheathed his sword to prod at the mass.
It too flinched, but it had the added lovely bonus of beginning to seep and thick red liquid, almost oil but… not as thick. He smelled iron, and as he pulled the sword away the tip glimered crimson. Somehow it was familiar to him, and he touched the tip of the blade, smearing the tips of his fingers together.
Blood.
How he knew that, he didn't quite know.
He pulled back, creepiness reaching a fever pitch. He decided it was time to leave, and lock this… thing. Inside this apartment, and he wouldn't ever come back in here, nope, weird creepy flesh moss could have this room, thank you.
He hurriedly made his way back to his apartment with a full canister of oil, and a core full of fear…

Absolutely /adore/ your art and overall take on the Demon Realm world + it's history and the Archivists. Especially coming from someone who adores speculative biology and trying to find logic/science in magic (I'm not sure how to word it so it makes sense - basically almost everything you are doing here)
Curious if you have any ideas on how the titans managed to inhabit the planet, because Papa Titan's hand managed to reach the atmosphere just from lying down. There's no way that planet was big enough for a bunch of titans to walk around comfortably.
Idk much about planetary stuff, but is there some way the planet may have changed? Maybe the Archivists did something?
Sorry this ask got kinda long, hope you have a lovely day doing little gnome things :}
glad you like them!:D
So, one of the gnome things is overanalyzing things and avoiding doing math, but here we are, you actually made me read my biophysics notes from 4 years ago. There are a few things to really focus on and think about, but I gotta preface this by saying I am very much not an expert on speculative biology xD I just have the internet and some books I am basing my theories on
Titans:
First the titans themselves. A while ago, I made an approximation of how large the Boiling Isles titan is and got that it would be around 27 km in height post-mortem. Buuut if the titan was this height during its life is another question because it would run into some biophysics issues
Issues like the atmospheric pressure. At ground level, it is 101.3 kPa, but at 27 km, it falls is 1.6 hPa (titan bless wolframalpha for counting this as exp funtions are the death of me). That is 63 times higher pressure on their legs than on their head! Blood circulation would be shot to the moon. The blood is liquid that in general transports gasses so travelling fron upper body parts to lower ones where there is diffrent dissoving of oxygen would end up in gas bubbles, which are NOT GREAT. Additionally, their ability to stand up or lie down quickly would be pretty much non-existant as that would be super fast change of pressure and more bubbles. But okay, lets say they are like some kind of abyss fishes and keep constant internal pressure.. that would still mean their hearts would need to be either massive or they would have multiple pumping mechanisms to handle their size (maybe like the single-chamber hearts in fish??) And the thing is we saw their heart, it was big but not THAT big so unless it was just one of many, maybe the last beating heart there might be diffrent explanation. And Im not gonna even go into how temperature changes every 100m around 0,6C, lets say their fur makes them warm and cozy and blue blood avoids freezing problems like some arctic critters
bringing those graphs up again cause they show the altitude change nicely
Tumblr media Tumblr media
All of this to say the titans during life were probably smaller. They would still have been massive, but maybe not three times the size of mt Everest massive. So next thing to consider is their magic. Their powers are closely tied to life, healing and creation and so, the demons on the Boiling Isles are said to have originated from it and their evolution waas likely sped up a lot thanks to it. Next we saw size-changing spells affecting King in the carnival episode, so it's not a stretch to believe that all titans could be affected by this kind of spells, with the strength depending on the particular titan's magic. So anyway as the titan was activly dying, its magic could have desperately attempted to save it by rapidly generating more cells to repair its failing systems, ending up in expansion of all tissues and their overall size. (Maybe thats why the vains were so big and empty in the mines, you cant create more energy so maybe the magic going with simmilar concept expanded everything around but not made more of blood?) However, despite these efforts, the magic would ultimately fail to save them. When it reached a critical point, maybe after using up most of its magical energy, the process would stop or change focus. There are some fun grusome possiblities on how that might have went down but this is already pretty long
So in short, I think the titans during life were big but only got island sized after death, otherwise theyd have some wild biological mechanisms battling physics and them becomming bigger would explain where did most of the blood go after death. Not to mention how much food they would need
Planet:
Next the size of the planet. While we don't have many clues to determine whether it's bigger or smaller than Earth, one clue is Luz's lack of reaction to changing gravity after passing through the door. If the planet were larger (or denser I know), she would feel change in g-force, so like the feeling of being on a lift going up in case of bigger planet or down in case of smaller. If the diffrence was significant she would develop issues with circulatory system and fatigue. But thats not the case and I do not have the energy to calculate min change xD
So let's say the planet is Earth-sized. This is still a lot. We don't know if there are any continents on the planet or their sizes, but even if there were same like earth, the scale is immense. If the Boiling Isles were the size of New York (based on titan's height) or even larger, say the size of Hawaii, compared to the world map, that's tiny. If Earh is 510 100 000 km², while NYC covers 1213,3 km² to cover the same area, we'd need 420423 titans lied up neatly next to each other. And thats if they are isles sized their whole life. There can also be landmasses where they can lay on, oceans deep enough to cover bodies, they can be stacked.... I don't think the planet necessarily needs to be much larger to accommodate creatures of this size
TOH as a show:
One thing to remember while analyzing shots from the show is that we we will run into contradictions because it's a show, one that is not focused on speculative biology. While most elements are well-constructed, some details may show inconsistencies. For example, determining the direction of north on a titan becomes challenging when one shot shows the sun setting in one direction and later another. Finding the titan's height poses difficulties when one shot shows their arm reaching the atmosphere while another barely shows them reaching it while standing. But its not due to carelessness, its more about serving purpose of the shot, conveying the atmosphere. They both show the titans are giant, the view from above is beautiful and if they were more focused on keeping them some arbitrery size it might have taken away from it
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And Im pretty sure that I'm wrong around a lot of aspects here, how it wasnt supposed to be interpreted like that or its more convoluted than I realize. Thats just my take on this. World we live in can seem small as we can only see a tiny part of it but Earth is so amazingly vast. It's larger than we can comprehend, and yet, it's nothing compared to the vastness of the universe. So, yeah, some of my thoughts on titans and the demon realms planet xD peace

Confessing Your Love to Someone via Carrier Pigeon Can Go Wrong Surprisingly Fast
Tumblr media

The first time John works a case with you, it’s because the victim send a love note via carrier pigeon to the wrong person. It ended with a double murder and pigeoncide.
“Have you ever seen anything like this?” He asks you, rubbing his palm across his mouth as he studies the crime scene.
“I’ve never seen one, shoved there before.” You remark as you scribble down a couple of notes in your pocketbook. “You just gotta hope it was post mortem for both of them.”
John clears his throat because of the thought of it being premortem gives him the chills.
“Wasn’t there that rumour about Richard Gere…” He trails off because he’s not sure he can bring himself to mention the gerbil.
“Ah someone was watching Conan last night.” You say, the edges of your mouth tipping up into a smile as you flip your pocketbook closed.
“I’m old enough to remember it the first time around, there was even a song by that comedian Stephen Lynch.” He recalls as he crosses his arms over his chest, trying to remember it in more detail.
“Oh right yea” You say the lyrics coming back to you as you sing them under your breath. “If you love your gerbil, don’t stick it up your butt.”
“It was a pretty catchy song.” He says knowingly, his lips pursed together as he tries to repress his smile. “We’re a little messed up aren’t we?”
“Hey, it’s cop humour.” You inform him, tucking your notebook into your pocket before gesturing at the crime scene. “You have to laugh otherwise how would you cope with seeing something like this.”
“Oh I think this is going to haunt my dreams.” John tells you openly. “I’m going to hear it’s tiny muffled squawks in my sleep.”
You laugh then and it is the filthiest damn sound that John as ever heard in his life. Completely inappropriate for a crime scene but it lights up his whole damn world.
“I’m Officer John Nolan by the way.” He introduces himself sticking out his hand. “LAPD’s oldest rookie.”
“Becca.” You smile as you take his hand in yours. “Detective Becca Sinclair.”

Peanut was an eastern gray squirrel found and rescued in 2017 by Mark Longo after the squirrel's mother was killed by a car in New York City. Longo sought a shelter for Peanut but was unsuccessful, and he bottle-fed the squirrel for the next eight months before deciding that Peanut should be returned to the wild. Longo released the animal into his backyard, but about a day later, he found Peanut on his porch with half of its tail missing. Longo said he "opened the door, [Peanut] ran inside, and that was the last of Peanut's wildlife career." It is illegal to keep squirrels as pets in the state of New York, and in the seven years spent in Longo's care in his hometown of Norwalk, Connecticut, no license was obtained to legally keep Peanut. Longo has stated that he was in the process of filing paperwork to have Peanut certified as an educational animal at the time of the seizure, however, he has not explained why he did not pursue a license in the preceding seven years.
While in his care, Longo created an Instagram account sharing videos of Peanut, and by October 2024 the account had amassed 534,000 followers. Peanut's social media following also helped steer viewers to Longo's OnlyFans account, where he called himself "Peanut's dad" and produced pornography, drawing in $800,000 over one month. In April 2023, Longo and his wife moved from Norwalk to upstate New York to found the P'Nuts Freedom Farm Animal Sanctuary. They contributed to half of the sanctuary's expenses, most of which was raised through Peanut's social media presence. According to them, the sanctuary had rescued over 300 animals by November 2024, however, Longo was not licensed as a wildlife rehabilitator.
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) began investigating Mark Longo in January 2024 after complaints were received alleging that Longo was keeping wildlife illegally. In an interview with the New York Post, Longo speculated that the anonymous complaints were motivated by jealousy due to the success of his OnlyFans account.
On October 30, 2024, the NYSDEC took Peanut, along with a pet raccoon named Fred, from Longo's home in Pine City, New York. Two days later, government officials alleged that after his seizure, Peanut had bitten one of the personnel involved, and the pets were euthanized to test for rabies, as there are no ante-mortem rabies testing methods for animals approved by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Longo stated that the decision to euthanize the squirrel "won't go unheard". The incident has been widely criticized as an example of excessive government intrusion into personal lives and pet ownership rights. Longo claimed that the NYSDEC used excessive force during the raid, which, according to Longo, lasted five hours.
Peanut's death triggered widespread public backlash, social media outcry, condemnation from several lawmakers, and a proposed bill aimed at preventing similar incidents in the future.
The death of Peanut was used as a cause célèbre by the MAGA movement, who blamed it on Democrats. Several prominent Republican figures complained about the killing of the squirrel, with some Trump campaign supporters claiming that the Biden-Harris administration was too firm regarding licenses for owning wild animals like squirrels as pets. Both New York governor Kathy Hochul and Vice President Kamala Harris turned down a request to comment on the incident. The Republican vice presidential candidate of the 2024 U.S. election, JD Vance, posted on X that "Don is fired up about P'Nut the squirrel"; the official Trump campaign TikTok account also condemned Peanut's death. Nick Langworthy stated his irritation with the NYS DEC, saying that "instead of focusing on critical needs like flood mitigation in places like Steuben County, where local officials have to struggle just to get permits from the DEC to clear debris-filled waterways, they're out seizing pet squirrels." Former New York governor Andrew Cuomo of the Democratic Party also criticized the DEC, as did actor William Shatner. On X (Twitter), Elon Musk commented that "Government overreach kidnapped an orphan squirrel and executed him."
Jake Blumencranz, a NYS Assemblyman from Long Island's 15th Assembly District, has proposed a bill called "Peanut's Law: Humane Animal Protection Act", an amendment to the New York State Environmental Conservation Law limiting government animal seizures
Really an incredible tale
