Milo had taken a habit of kissing Sweetheart’s hands whenever and where ever he could. They would give him something and he’d take their hand before it pulled away and kiss their knuckles. If they were holding hands, it was endless opportunities to kiss them. He’d kiss them if Sweetheart was working to much again, soothing the slight ache that he had no don’t was laying deep in them. He’d kiss them during pack meetings when things were slow. He’d kiss them while half asleep, laying together in their bed. They’d cradle his face and he’d be turning his head to kiss their palm. They’d be having a conversation on the couch, facing one another, and Milo wouldn’t let their hands go, smattering kisses across them both every once in a while. He’d kiss them after a long day of worrying after them. He’d kiss them on their dates, a heat behind his eyes that made Sweetheart blush just a bit. He’d kiss them if either of them was rushing out the door particularly quickly that morning.

When Sweetheart asked why he did this, sitting together on the couch one day, Milo would shrug. “It’s you,” he’d say. “You ever hear of cuteness overload?”

Sweetheart nodded.

“It’s like that,” Milo went on, “the only difference is it’s not just the cuteness that gets to me. I’m overwhelmed with the idea of you in my life. I mean, I get to have all of you, and that just about makes me the luckiest bastard in all of Dahlia.” He paused, taking a moment to rub his thumb along Sweetheart’s hands were they lay intertwined. “It’s a surge of love, and appreciation, and admiration, and just about everything else,” he says, bringing their hand up to kiss along it as he did, “Because I love you. I’m over the moon about you, Sweetheart, you should know this.”

“Oh,” Sweetheart breathed. “That’s…”

They didn’t finish their sentence, but the loopy grin that was pulling at the corners of their mouth seemed to say it all.

“It’s also partially a make-out controller,” Milo added, half-serious. “Most of the time when I kiss your hand it’s to suppress the urge to straight up make-out with you. If I had any say, there’s be a one thousand percent uptick in the amount of times my mouth ends up on yours, and-”

Milo was cut off by Sweetheart pulling him down into a kiss. He could feel their smile against his lips and he had the familiar rush through his chest.

“I don’t know about a one thousand percent,” Sweetheart said when they pulled back, “but I wouldn’t mind a smaller uptick. If you can control yourself with this new given power.”

Milo grinned wolfishly. “Oh, I am the king of control, Sweetheart. Do you want me to show you?”

Sweetheart let out a small noise when they were dragged onto Milo’s lap, only for it to turn into a breathy giggle when Milo pulled them in for another kiss.

This was based off of a head canon that Ricky can understand all of the neighbors! Idk, I feel like Pearl and Ricky LOVE to gossip. Pearl gives me such WINE AUNT energy!

As someone who only casually reads fanfics, I am not proud of the significant amount of despair I have felt when Ao3 was down, just simply knowing that I couldn’t if I wanted to. Like the absence of a casual mistress that I had, unknowingly, fallen for as the moon falls for the sun, giving way for daylight, now too far gone, leaving me grasping at empty air and the thought of what could have been. Something so dear to my heart, so undervalued, gone under the currents of wind that slip through my fingers. Like the whispered breath of unspoken words, escaping in moments of thoughtlessness. Unspoken words that carried, for all we know, the meaning of life itself. Nor am I proud of the shameless way in which I have done nothing but eat, sleep, and breathe fanfics for the past several hours, maybe even days. Drinking in her presence like a man left stranded in the desert, with nothing but the hot hot sun to keep his company. Time seems to slip by when she’s in my presence, under my fingertips, tangible, lovable, her presence haunts me in every breath, every movement, every slip of the tongue and every lecherous thought. She’s returned to me, battered and broken, but here, and healing, my love, my light, my reason for living, and dare I say, the one I call home. My love grows ever stronger, and I shall never take her for granted again, even in our cloudiest days and darkest nights, in which we may have spoken but a few whispered nothings for some time, I shall remain forever and truly, hers.

i know that not getting what you need in a relationship is a COMPLETELY valid reason to end it but also. i feel like having a very vulnerable moment where i opened up about my struggles with intimacy and being relieved that i didn't have to keep doing things i wasn't comfortable with, then being dumped a YEAR later because of my lack of intimacy. is something i should be allowed to be very hurt by???

i just feel like abby falls super hard.. and its always on wood floors because she ALWAYS has socks on. like it makes a super loud WHAM sound outside your room, as if she were trying to walk in, but the door was still closed.

and you’re trying to laugh, bc u know she’s probably still laying on the floor where she fell.

no bc this is so abby i might cry! girl is fleating down the stairs with her socks on, so quickly, feet carrying her too swiftly for her own good before she’s slamming into the door slightly. her strong frame slamming into the door, alerting you from your slouched stance in your shared bed. there’s another intruding thump! seemingly worrying you even further.

“abs?” you’re met with silence. “everything alright?” you almost jump out of bed, when she’s silent. carefully, the bedroom door opens as she shuts it behind her again. she’s blushing crimson as she goes to wash up in the bathroom. she comes out showered, golden strands a shade darker, a new oversized graphic shirt paired with her favorite boxers, socks disposed.

abby slides into bed with you, wrapping you up in safe arms, softly kissing your bare shoulders. she nestles into the crook of your neck, hot breath tickling your ear as she litters more kisses along the exposed skin.

“my clumsy angel, did you slip again?” abby grumbles, a murmur, but it’s incoherent. “hm? what was that?” she can’t see it, but she can feel your smirk even if she was a mile away.

“i have no idea what you’re referring to.” she shuts her pools of blue, hoping it’s the last of it.

“i told you to stop wearing your socks in the house, you slip.” abby huffs, pulling you closer to her if it was even possible. a light giggle falls from her lips, reminding you of sunshine and fresh lilies.

when the sun kisses your skin on the first day of spring. rid of the cold and welcoming the warmth, it’s her. all you feel is her. it seems like there’s been none before and will never be anyone after. this is all there can be. the love she’s shown you bottled in the depth of your soul, meant to be indulged on a rainy day.

“baby—” abby chides “shut up. it was, um, intentional.” she bites playfully, nipping your ear playfully.

“uh huh, sure, angel.”
