Aside from some cheekiness about the long promised close combat weapon upgrades, there was no real new information shared during the Horus Heresy segment of the preview seminar. It's nice to know that there's at least something new planned every month - there's certainly enough in the Forge World back catalog to migrate to plastic, especially when you diffuse it across three separate ranges of figures.

I'm personally holding out for the alternate loadout Deredeo Dreadnought with Boreas Air Defence Missiles and Volkite Falconet or Aracnhus Heavy Lascannon. Perhaps even a glimmer of hope for my long sought Atomantic Pavaise.

But, realistically, I know that it just means we'll get 28mm versions of the already extant Legions Imperialis tanks.

At NOVA Open 2023, Games Workshop revealed a new figure for the highly anticipated Old World project. Élisse Duchaard is a Prophetess of the Lady of the Lake and is a power Wizard who rides a muscular unicorn. The figure takes inspiration from the classic Morgana the Fay Enchantress figures. It’ll be released in resin.

The Nova Open preview seminar was laughably bad if you're not a fan of Chaos Dwarfs or Stormcast Eternals, but there were a couple of morsels to be gleaned from the roadmap segments.

For instance, a big focus on Death Korps of Krieg in the 2025 Astra Militarum launch. Whether that means alternate heavy weapons teams, Death Riders or some other transplant from the Forge World range is anyone's guess, but if it's early in the new year then we don't have that long to wait and see.

I was surprised to hear that Apect Warriors are going to be headlining Codex: Aeldari. Everything I've heard so far has pointed towards Kill Team as the vehicle for getting out the remaining temples, and with two of the outstanding kits being types of jump infantry that seemed to be consistent with the direction the game is taking with Hivestorm.

If Imperial Knights were mentioned at all, I missed it - and I don't have any rumors I trust enough to share, here, that might even start to suggest what it would look like by the time next spring rolls around.
