pc gaming seems like such a difficult thing to get into like i have never really experienced getting into it consciously (i was raised on it) but it feels so inaccessible? pc parts are expensive and you have to make your own build if you want something good and some parts dont work well with others and some games dont work well with some parts (i know ive had trouble with mass effect glitching because of my modern nvidia gpu which required a mod to fix) and even if you get prebuilt or a laptop youre not safe from the troubleshooting. the "can my pc run [game]". the bad pc ports.

and you know the worst part. most pc people are so removed from reality that they dont even realize you probably have no idea what amd and nvidia and intel even are. you dont know the difference between an ssd or a hdd. "how much ram do you want" when you dont know what that means. they start talking about the difference between a 4070 and a 3090 and all you can see is the fucking price tags.

TRINITY, BAILEY, Y/N AND JACK HAD JUST FINISHED SHOOTING A SCENE. They decided to hang out in Jack’s trailer and play Fifa on his ps5.

“Y/N you are letting me win. Stop it!” Jack groaned, putting his head on her shoulder.

“I’m not!!” she lied. She totally was.

“Yes you do. You totally destroy Jamie when he comes to visit us, and he is really good at his game. There is no fucking way I’m better than you” he accused.

“I’m just tired” she shrugged.

“Your players aren’t even moving!” he exclaimed.

“Okay, fine. I’m letting you win” she confessed “But you just look so adorable when you score a goal, how could I interfere?”.

Trinity and Bailey looked at each other as they rolled their eyes.

“So… the kissing scene is in two days” Trinity spoke up, making the two teenagers separate from their hug.

The kissing scene was something both of them had been looking forward to. As they clearly had no intentions of speak about their feelings, they at least wanted to feel what kissing the other would be like. Even if it was just acting.

“Yup. Promise to wash my teeth that day, Y/N/N” Jack joked.

“Well, I’m not and you will have to bear with my morning breath” she laughed.

“You wouldn’t dare” he looked her dead in the eye.

He sighed in relief “Oh, can you wear your cherry chapstick? I’m fucking addicted”

“She lets me borrow it sometimes” Jack explained them.

“We should go” Y/N said awkwardly.

Y/N FINISHED THE LAST SCENE OF THE DAY AND WENT TO HER TRAILER TO TAKE A LONG-AWAITED NAP. She could’ve easily gone home, but as every friday, she waited for Jack so they could go together to her house and have their weekly movie marathon. It was a little activity they have been doing together for the past months.

Almost an hour later, Jack entered her trailer and his heart melted at the sight. No matter how many times he found her napping, the reaction would be the same. She had her own arms around herself, probably from the cold; her lips were partially open and her face was adorned with a cute frown, she probably was having a dream.

He carefully walked towards her frame and kneeled beside the small couch she was sleeping on. He pulled the fallen hair out of her face, and shook her softly as he called her name in a delicate way. She fluttered her eyes open and scrunched her nose, the light from the outside bothering her. Jack put a hand over her eyes until she grew accustomed to the light.

“Hey, gorgeous. I’m done for today, wanna go to your house?” he asked with a smile. How could someone be so pretty? he asked to himself.

She nodded as she stood up “Can we buy sushi? I’ve been dying to eat all week”.

“Anything you want” he answered with a grin.

When they finally arrived to her house, the discussion on what to watch next began. Y/N wanted to watch a rom-com, while Jack was in the mood for a good horror movie.

“Y/N/N that movie sucks” Jack said, completely against the idea of watching Valentine’s Day.

“How dare you?” she asked offended.

“It’s the truth and you know it. You just forced yourself to like it because Taylor Swift is in there” Jack pointed out.

He had an valid point. The movie was boring and weird, but Taylor Swift made it worth it. “I don’t want to watch Final Destination, it’s traumatising”.

“Not more than fucking Valentine’s Day” he laughed as she elbowed him in the stomach “Ouch, sorry”.

“Let’s just bring new options. What about Lemonade Mouth?” she suggested.

“Mamma mia? I’ve never seen that one” he suggested. Y/N’s eyes lit up.

“Yes! Yes, absolutely” she said excited. “Just a little warning, I take musicals very seriously. So, expect me to make a fucking performance”.

“I’m certainly not complaining, love” he assured her. Y/N tried not to smile as she looked the movie up. It was her favorite nickname and he knew it, he loved seen her reaction everytime he called her that.

He didn’t pay attention to the movie at all. Not that it was bad, but the girl next to him was much interesting. He had a foolish smile on his face, watching with heart eyes as she sang the ABBA songs with passion. He wondered if anything was going to change the next day—the awaited kiss between their characters. He sure hoped so, because holding back from her was getting more and more excruciating each day.

THE BIG DAY FINALLY ARRIVED AND THE EXCITEMENT WAS NOTICEABLE ON THE SET. It was the scene everyone had been waiting for—especially the two people involved in it.

“Stop” Y/N groaned as the girls gushed about the scene “it’s not a big deal”.

“Is that why you have been fixing your hair for the last ten minutes and applying the cherry chapstick Jack loves?” Bailey teased her.

Y/N blushed “Fine. It is a big deal, this might be the only chance I have of kissing him. I don’t want to mess it up”.

“But if you mess it up, then you’ll have to do the scene again” Trinity said.

“Good point, Trin. Then I hope he messes it up” she said. Her friends gave her a look of confusion “Well, I want to kiss him more than once, but I can’t mess the thing up on purpose”

“Stop being professional for one minute” Bailey groaned.

“I’m sure James Cameron won’t appreciate you saying that” Y/N laughed.

“Anyways, even if the scene goes well, we both know it won’t be the last time you kiss” Trinity said “It’s pretty obvious you like each other, maybe this fake kiss is the push you both need”.

Before Y/N could respond, a knock was heard on the door of the trailer. “Hey” Jack greeted them. “Y/N/N, it’s time” she nodded as they started to make their way to the set. “Are you okay?”.

“Not going to lie, I’m a bit tad nervous” she laughed.

“Don’t be. It’s just me” Jack said, putting his arm around her shoulder.

“That’s the problem” she said under her breath. Thankfully, he didn’t hear her. “Yeah, I know but everyone’s going to be there. You know how they are making a huge deal out of this”.

“Yeah, I know. But just focus on me, okay? You are going to be great, as always” he assured her. She smiled, placing a kiss on his cheek “Now I’m feeling more confident than ever” he said cheekily. Y/N rolled her eyes as she laughed.

“Ready?” the director asked. They nodded and then they took their place to start shooting.

Y/C/N was sitting on the edge of her bed, looking at the ceiling as if it were the most interesting thing, when she felt a presence next to her. Diverting her eyes from the grey roof, she found Jack’s—or Spider’s—brown eyes.

“What are you doing all alone?” he asked sitting next to her, his bare tight brushing against hers. Y/N’s breath hitched—well, it was on the script, but she wasn’t really acting that reaction—as she turned into a nervous wreck.

“I couldn’t stand that stupid mask or Neytiri’s glances anymore” Y/C/N sighed.

“Yeah, it sucks being human sometimes” he agreed.

“I don’t know how you did all of this alone” she said softly. It hadn’t been that long since she appeared on Pandora.

He shrugged “Not that I have much choice, but it wasn’t that bad. I don’t regret it, though, I love being around Lo’ak, Jake, Kiri, Tsireya… I have pretty sights and now I’ve got you” he looked at her and raised his hand to brush the hair off her face.

Y/N’s heart started beating at a very fast pace “I’m really glad you are here, Spider. I don’t know what I’d do without you” she said shyly. His closeness was very overwhelming.

“Probably fall from every tree and have multiple broken bones” he joked, making her laugh. “But I secretly enjoy that you don’t know how to properly climb trees”.

Y/C/N looked at him in confusion “What do you mean? It sucks, I feel so out of place. I’m still growing accustomed to the wild life, sometimes I feel like I don’t belong here”.

“I just have an excuse to hold you” Spider admitted, cheeks turning red. “Do you really feel like you don’t belong here?” he asked sadly.

Y/C/N felt a pang of guiltiness in her chest. “I mean the place” she clarified. “But right here… with you, that is where I really feel like I belong. Did you ever hear about the saying ‘Home is where the heart is’?”

Jack nodded slowly, knowing it was coming. His heart beating in anticipation, an electric feeling flooded his stomach. Y/N was so mesmerised by Jack’s beauty that almost forgot to continue her line. “Well, my heart is with you, Jack”.

Silent was heard on the set. Jack’s eyes widened and his mouth fell open. For a couple of seconds, Y/N was confused, not understanding the reactions, until it clicked. She gasped, turning red from embarrassment.

“Shit! I’m so sorry, guys. I-I don’t know. It slipped” Y/N apologised in a mortified tone. Everyone messed up their lines at least once, but she felt a pressure on her chest that only got tighter.

“Hey, hey. It’s okay, it’s not a big deal. Let’s just take five, okay?” James said, giving her a look of reassurance. She nodded and left the set, not daring to look at Jack. But he was not going to let it pass, he decided it was his opportunity.

“Y/N/N! Wait” he ran, stopping right before she entered her trailer.

“Jack, please, not now” she begged.

“No, please. I need to say this before the courage fades away” he said. She thought about it for a minute before finally nodding “Maybe saying my name was just a silly mistake, but the look in your eyes tells me there is something more. Is there something more?” he asked. She wanted to say yes so bad, but she couldn’t get the words out of her mouth. She was still mortified, and Jack noticed it, so he made the first step. “I like you, Y/N/N. And I don’t mean it as a friend. I mean that my heart goes crazy when I’m near you, that I want to hold your hand, shower you with gifts, have silly dates with you, and that I want to be able to kiss you whenever I want”.

Y/N swore her heart was about to explode from love, and that her face was going to hurt from smiling too much “That was so sweet, Jack, what the hell” she laughed “I like you too, so much. As if that wasn’t already obvious from my little slip. And I literally look at you with heart eyes, so…”

Jack smiled fondly “You are so adorable” he whispered, grabbing her cheek. “Can I kiss you?”.

“Please, I’ve been wanting to kiss you since the very first day” she admitted, and Jack fell for her even more. Not wanting to waste any more time, he pressed his lips against hers. They both smiled in between kisses, not really believing that was happening.

They heard a crowd cheering from afar, making them pull away. The whole crew was looking, and shouting.

“This could be considering stalking, did you know?” Y/N told them in a loud voice.

“We have been waiting for this moment since we started filming two years ago!” Bailey shouted, and the cast nodded in agreement.

The couple rolled their eyes. Jack put his arm around her waist, pulling her close to him “Let’s go, love. We have a scene to shoot. And remember, it’s Spider, not Jack”.

“Go to hell” she told her boyfriend, acting annoyed. But the grin on her face betrayed her.

THE AVATAR SHOOTING ENDED ABOUT A YEAR AFTER Y/N AND JACK GOT TOGETHER. And they were doing better than ever. They didn’t keep their relationship a secret—quite the contrary, they loved posting pics of their dates, do livestreams and tiktoks together, lovey post about the other, etc. Everyone adored the couple, which made them very happy. They never hid the love they felt for each other, not even during press tour.

“So, what was the best thing about filming Avatar?” and interviewer asked them.

1. He once screamed like a little girl before because Sun has startled him.

2. He was a terrible cook and a worse gamer. One time, in order to win against Sun, Dark Sun has sercetly reprogrammed the entire game to make it choose him as the winner.

Dark Sun still lost though. He dropped a bunch of viruses on Sun's PS5 afterwards.

3. He liked watching Sun sleep. One time, while staring at Sun, his head hit the glass because he accidentally let his hand slip.

4. Dark Sun doesn't shout as much as Sun. That's why sometimes when he speaks too loudly, he will choke and cough like an old man.

For that reason, Dark Sun always has a cup of water next to him when he speaks. Just in case he coughs and if he feels like he's in a good mood, he will pour the whole cup of water on the face of the person he finds annoying.

5. He and Sun have worn skirts before. These dresses are very lovely, although Dark Sun has secretly made Sun's skirt shorter so he could see more of his legs.

7. He was the slow-reacting type. He would never admit it, but what people said would upset him, and he would think about it when he went to sleep.

You opened the fridge, a soft sigh escaping your lips at seeing the empty shelves. 

“You okay, baby?” Jake called from your shared living room. The echoes of his fingers button smashing the PS5 controller in his hands at the game displayed on the TV. 

You closed the fridge, “Yeah, there’s just nothing in the fridge. We need to go grocery shopping.” 

Jake paused the game, turning around on the couch to face you, “Or you can let me take you out.” 

You leaned against the countertop, shaking your head, “Jake we don’t need to do that,” his smile on his face quickly frowning. You cleared your throat, “You wouldn’t be able to eat.” 

Jake quickly stood up and was at your side in a second, “I can drink some bags before we go. Baby, you need to eat. We can go to the grocery shop after dinner.”

The sound of the shower turned off, and Jake was back at your side on the couch, his wet hair dripping onto his bare chest. 

“Baby, what’s wrong?” He took your chin between his fingers, “You forget we are bonded, I can tell you’re upset.”

I’ve spent my whole life waiting for you, so you having to eat human food on top of drinking blood doesn’t bother me. You’re half-blooded, and I wouldn’t change any part of it.”

Jake pulled you into his lap, gently laying you back against the couch, kissing your neck, “Let me take you out, go grocery shopping then come back so I can worship every part of you.” 

You giggle into his shoulder, pushing him back, “Okay, that requires you to get dressed first, Jaeyun.” 

He pressed one more kiss to your neck before leaving to change. Coming back out in his favorite black ripped jeans and a gray sweatshirt. 

Jake grabbed a couple of blood bags from the fridge and then rushed you out the door. 

You watched your soulmate as he drove you two to the nearest burger joint, watching as he sipped on his blood bags before pulling into the parking lot. 

Jake had the biggest smile on his face the entire time, even while he was ordering your dinner for you. His arm wrapped around your waist and you were pulled close to him. 

All Jake ever wanted to do was show how thankful he is for you every single day. He worshiped the ground you walked on. 

After Dorian took you from him and used every ounce of magic he had to mask your scent so he couldn’t find you, tore him to pieces. The sleepless nights he got, the days of not drinking any blood, and even the days he and Sunghoon would spend sitting with each other side by side staring off into the distance because they didn’t trust the other to be alone. Jake hated seeing Sunghoon hurting like that but knew he was feeling the same. 

The moment Jake had you back in his arms, he vowed to never let you go so easily again and spend every waking moment possible showing you how thankful and appreciative he was of you. 

You were his main reason for living after all, even if he is the undead. 

Jake also didn’t want to put you through anything you had to deal with before, losing your first mate was bad enough, and he didn’t want to find out what it would feel like to lose you or put you through losing another mate. 

You took a bite of your burger, looking up at your goofy boy, seeing him deep in thought, “Jake?” you called his name, waving a hand in his face. 

Jake focused his attention back on you, giving you the beautiful smile that you loved so much, “Yes, baby?” 

“You okay?” you asked, giving him a small smile, “You looked lost in thought there for a second.”

Every dead-end street, lead you straight to him. Every moment from the time you met him and the pack, to the moment you finally let yourself have that second chance of having a mate, every wrong turn, and every terrible moment, brought you to him. He’s all you need.

Jake watched as you finished eating, taking you by the hand, leading you back to the car, and helping you inside. 

“Next stop is the grocery store!” 

Jake followed behind you pushing the cart as you placed everything you wanted and needed into the cart. 

Jake couldn’t wrap his head around why you would even think grocery shopping and even cooking for you would be any kind of nuisance. You’re a dhampir, you need both substances of humans and vampires to survive and that’s something Jake understood. He even got lessons from Jay on cooking so he could cook for you so you don’t have to always do it. 

But he also saw your side and why it would bother you, you’re a bit different than normal vampires, and dhampirs are rare. 

Jake started thinking about the percentages of dhampirs, curious what would happen if you and himself…conceived. 

Jake leaned against the cart, mindlessly following behind you as he was stuck in this thought. 

You stopped walking, seeing a bag of chips you’d want for a snack later, feeling the cart run into you, a quick “Oh shit,” slipping from Jake’s mouth. 

You softly glared at your mate, raising a brow, “You’re deep in thought again.” 

Jake nervously smiled, “Yeah, I had a random thought.” 

You grabbed the bag of chips and placed them in the cart, “And what is that?”

He kind of likes the more nostalgic games, like super mario bros for the wii (this made me look up the game to confirm it's age and it was made in 2009 wtf??)

Stan prefers playing games on the wii (and switch) and or the ps4/ps5. He's a console kind of guy.

Prefers playing video games at your house and he'll even bring the necessary consoles over if needed just because if his dad sees you two playing he's going to whine to Stan about joining in.

Aside from nostalgic games he's also an action game multiplayer fan, lot of games he has is stylized to be fit for multiple people, so think of games like "It Takes Two" or even the multiplayer parts of Pokemon SWSH / Pokemon SV.

If you're a more single player kind of person, he definitely doesn't mind watching you play while cuddling. Would probably fall asleep watching you play.

I could see him playing Stardew Valley co-op with you if you convince him, but doesn't enjoy the whole farming thing too much

He marries Abigail in retaliation for making him play it with you. (Marry Shane and he will IMMEDIATELY divorce Abigail and beg you to marry him)

He still definitely plays multiplayer pc games with his friends, but sees no real joy in playing it by himself (think like valorant or league)

When he loses everyone in South Park knows, he's so mad. However he rarely loses so South Park is safe.

Out of his friends he's for sure got the most amount of kills and wins.

Screams "LETS GOOOOO" when he wins LMFAO. Then gives you a victory kiss.

FPS games is Kyle's specialty. He's def an omen main or something.

If FPS isn't your thing or if you're not good at it Kyle gets it. If you're willing he'll show you how to play (and how to get good fast) however just don't play with him, if you're lagging behind (even if you're new) he's so annoyed, but never mad.

Is willing to play other games with you 100%. Also thinks it's great to game together, even if your guys' gaming genres don't match he's willing to play what you like.

Mario Kart is your guys' go to. You always win against him which leaves Kyle in shock so he often demands rematches.

Ike joins with you guys sometimes and you both initially let Ike win. Ike gets mad though because he wants you both to play equally with him, so when you play fairly he still wins because Ike is just that guy.

Kyle is more of a pc gamer than anything, but if console is up to bat he's an xbox guy. Still is a fps guy on console but it's all single player.

HATES fortnite lol. Doesn't get the hype over it at all, he thinks the mechanics are stupid and won't play it. Might if you beg him to but.. you so owe him.

Is more of the guy that prefers you to watch as he plays, however has no issue if you want to take over playing and he watches, he makes you guys snacks to have while you play.

Avid minecrafter tbh, played it mainly for Ike but then got addicted. So now he makes you play it with him too. He's definitely the "miner". Goes all out on making sure you both have the best armor and weapons. Has a shit ton of diamonds so he made you a diamond shovel for the hell of it even though it's a dumb thing to waste diamonds on. Made you a pink wool heart behind your house when you were gone.

Also an avid tile matcher (think candy crush), begs you constantly for lives. Please give him lives he gives the MEANEST puppy dog eyes.

AVID HORROR GAME ENJOYER LOL

Literally any type of horror game is his go to game. Also likes those RPG horror games (think like ib, the witch's house, misao)

Sets you up by saving right before a jumpscare and then has you come over to play it with him and then you get to experience the jumpscare.

Late night horror game playing with Kenny <3 where you two just play roblox horror games all night, sometimes he puts in the comedic horror ones just so you guys can laugh at how bad it is.

He borrowed Outlast from Cartman to play on your console and you still have nightmares.

Kenny prefers multiplayer games that aren't limited to just two players only multiplayer. Only because Karen can play the game with you two then.

If you do happen to playing a two player only multiplayer game and Karen wants to join he lets her take over for him.

Kenny also loves puzzle like games (think like escape room games or keep talking and no one explodes).

Really he just loves seeing your face get all frustrated when playing these kinds of games. He rarely gets frustrated with things like these because he manages to somehow always figure it out, but doesn't say anything just to watch you get annoyed.

If you start getting really frustrated at the game and he notices, he does one of three things; he takes the controller or your phone away and turns on a new game, he actually solves it to spare your sanity, or he saves the game and helps take your mind off of the game and onto something else.

Joel Miller wasn't one for affection. Years of trauma had him build himself into someone that was completely hardened to everything and that meant giving up the things that softened his heart. But that couldn’t stop his body from showing that he was a touch starved man.

You could read him better than any person and could feel it in the way he held you. You could tell when his hands would skim you a little too softly, a huge contrast to how he would be thrusting into you. Or the way he would shudder when you kissed his tummy and gently held onto his hand. Sometimes, the touch would linger and there were moments where he caught himself so fast that he pulled away like someone had lit you on fire. He craved it badly and you silently let him have it, worried that he would pull back if you teased him about it.

You were sitting at the dining table, awake longer than usual as you waited for him to return. You were nursing a book, slowly flipping through its pages as your eyes threatened to succumb to your tiredness. The sound of the door opening brought you back to your present and you heard the thud of Joel’s boots on the hardwood flooring.

You gave him a small smile and tapped the seat beside you and he slumped onto it, not bothering to remove his coat. You pull it off him and get up to set it aside, before grabbing a bowl of soup for him to eat. You set it in front of him and slid back into your seat, grabbing his left bicep and leaning your cheek against it as he fed himself.

Joel froze at your gesture, but your hand that was holding onto his arm was rubbing soft circles that calmed his racing heart. He finished his soup quickly, and you let him go for him to set his bowl in the sink. He comes back to you almost instantly, turning your chair towards him and scooping you up into a bridal hold. You pressed your nose to his neck and breathed in his scent, smiling all dopey at the fact that you might have just broken Joel Miller’s hardened exterior. He gently set you down on his bed and pulled his large t-shirt that you were wearing around you before shedding his own clothes and lying down beside you.

You would normally turn to your side and lay your head on his chest but he was quicker than you tonight, settling his big head on your tummy, his big brown eyes staring up at you. His calloused hands slid up the t-shirt to rub at your hip bone where your underwear sat and you sighed softly, bringing your hand to caress his hair.

He suddenly pulled the t-shirt up and you were too tired to protest whatever he was going to do but he poked his head inside and laid down onto your tits. You giggled at the way his beard tickled you and how some of his hair stuck outside the t-shirt. His nose was poking at the valley between your tits and he would occasionally move his head to kiss one of them, making you sigh contently.

Some random modern HotD headcanons :)

Hey y’all! So I kept thinking of some funny, and very specific headcanons for the HotD characters, so I decided to just make it a whole post. This will actually be my first “legit” post on here, lol! Anyways, this will include some headcanons about Aemond, Aegon II, Luke, Jace, Daemon, Rhaenyra, Helaena, etc. But hope y’all enjoy lol! :)

Ok, I am convinced that Aemond has a secret stash of tea hidden somewhere. He's even put them all in a very nice ornate, antique box. It's his guilty pleasure. He probably would have some Earl Gray, English Breakfast, maybe even some lavender mint for the evenings. He'd keep it secret because all the teas he's gotten are way too expensive, and special.

Luke is an avid Minecraft gamer. Like he's basically built Dragonstone, and the Red Keep in his server. He'll play sometimes with Jace, or maybe even Aegon. But he doesn't let them into that world. Aegon would probably blow it all up with TnT.

Speaking of gaming, I think some people are on the same page that Aegon would be some kind of gamer. He'd be up to date on all the new systems and gadgets. He'd be one of the firsts to have the PS5 when it came out. He probably plays a lot of Call of Duty. Maybe even some Valorant when he doesn't wanna fire up the PS. He'd definitely be cursing and yelling at the game, to the point where Alicent threatens to take it away.

While Rhaenyra watches her shows, House Wives, Rupaul's Drag Race, etc. Daemon pretends to be not interested, but really he's super invested. He'd be leaning against the couch, or the wall totally sucked in. And when Rhaenyra tells him to just sit down and watch with her, he's all like, "no no I don't even like this show". But then he'd say things like, "Well maybe if her gown was better made she wouldn't have been eliminated last episode".

Aegon gives me frat boy energy. And I know I'm not the first to say that lol. You already know he's planning all the parties, and picking the themes. I like to think he'd be very invested into picking the themes. They would be things like, dragon night, wear your fave dragon scale colors. Or something like, Dragonstone beach night, wear your swim suits and flip flops.

Alicent likes to knit. Or maybe crochet? It's her stress reliever activity after dealing with Aegon, and the rest of the boys. Helaena is always giving her new patterns or designs to try.

I think Alicent also likes to take the occasional Buzzfeed quiz. "If you were a cake flavor, here's what you'd be based on your star sign".

Helaena runs a very successful tik tok account. She'd post her outfits, and maybe some art or cool bugs she's found.

Aegon listens to a lot of Megan Thee Stallion and Kim Petras. He's blasting Kim Petras' Treat me like a Slut at least 5 times a day. He gets ready to it in the morning.

Aemond will get down to some Amy Winehouse.

Jace works at the local animal shelter as his summer job. He only got the job cause Rhaenyra said he needed to get out of the house. Plus Helaena also works there, so she helped him get hired.

Aemond would be a great bartender. Not with like actually interacting with customers, but he can make some great drinks. Like he's over here coming up with all these crazy cocktails. Although, like his tea obsession he keeps this on the low. He doesn't want Aegon asking him to make drinks all the time. Gods forbid he asks Aemond to bartend at one of the frat parties.

Helaena was a Monster High girl growing up.

Aemond has a motorcycle. It was his one rebellious purchase. Alicent hates it.

Luke can kick Aegon's ass in any game, video or otherwise. You name it, Call of Duty, UNO, Valorent, Go fish...

Rhaenyra has a bit of a sweet tooth, but she has to hide her candy stash, cause the boys will steal it in a heartbeat. Who would have thought Daemon would love lemon drops so much.

I really could go on forever, these are just too fun to write. But I'll leave it here for now lol.

Really wanted to write something because this game lives in my head rent free. Following dialogue on a PS5 sucks. @atsadi-shenanigans was an inspiration to introduce a useless earth human, but make it for the moms. LOL

Summary: "I always believed alien abduction was, possibly and, maybe, plausibly, real, but it was for other people. Maybe, aliens like abducting people who are already mentally ill so it seemed like they are lying? Maybe, that's why I ended up on the nautiloid. Or maybe, I wasn't supposed to. Either way, whether by design or by accident, I got to see a world saved. Even if it was technically just a tiny corner of it and not even my own. Sometimes, it takes just a random group of people motivated to solve the same problem to make a difference, one step at a time. As Frodo took to the pen to record his adventures, at the behest of my companions, I will do the same. Excuse the grammar and random inserts from others, I promise to get this edited, so it's not so heinous and more cohesive. Sometimes the Gods really are listening. And sometimes they're just cunts. Cheers to the Heroes of Baldur's Gate and, hopefully, we can get a more accurate retelling down since Volo's was -- please, don't read it. We didn't have a dragon with us, just a dragonborn."

So, I just finished Astro Bot.

I'm gonna get this out of the way immediately: this game is a fucking masterpiece in my eyes. A genuinely flawless game. If you don't wanna read this whole long ass yapfest I wanna just say this upfront. If you own a PS5 and don't own this game, you are doing yourself a disservice. With that out of the way, allow me to glaze the fuck out of this game.

Before I start with the game itself I wanna talk about Production Value because holy shit it is off the fucking charts here. Every inch of this game is fucking gorgeous. Water is so good Mario WiiU would be brought to tears. Particles and physics objects are everywhere, to the point where it feels like Team Asobi was just showing off with what the PS5 was capable of. I have no issues calling it the best looking PS5 game. Sure, God of War or The Last of Us Part 1 may look better technically but Astro Bot's artstyle combined with a locked 60fps that I didn't notice dip once despite the amount of stuff on screen at once pushes it over the edge for me. On top of that, the music is incredible. Every level has a new tune that you'll sometimes just sit down and listen to for a moment before starting a level. Slo-Mo Casino, Crash Site, and Sky Garden are highlights for me but the whole soundtrack is incredibly good.

But that doesn't really mean much if the game kinda sucks, so I am glad to report that Astro Bot might be the best controlling 3D platformer I have ever played. Everything just feels like it has the just right amount of fine tuning. Astro's jump is just right between floaty and weighty, and his hover helps mitigate platforming mistakes without being essentially a get out of jail free card. His attack is basic but you can also damage enemies by hovering, and the game switches it up often enough for it to not feel repetitive. The levels compliment the control perfectly. While Astro Bot is generally a pretty easy game, I don't think that's a bad thing because of how comfortable it feels to play. Everything just feels good. Every time you mess up a jump, it feels like your fault instead of the game's. This rings true even in the face button challenges (which is what im calling them for lack of a better term lol). These little challenges, themed around the Sony face buttons, can be a lot more challenging than the regular game, but they remain fair. Even the final challenge of the game to get the last bot is a fair challenge. The game never resorts to cheap deaths which makes it way more fun than some other "difficult" games. The boss fights are also really good. The wait times between attacks always remained interesting to me because the pace of everything just felt snappy. They never last more than a few minutes and by the time you're done with them they don't overstay their welcome. They're always a nice change of pace from the main game. Also, going for completion never felt like a slog. I got all 301 bots (missing 4 because my playroom file got deleted on accident :/), all puzzle pieces, and all achievements and I was never bored. Just goes to show how incredible the gameplay is.

The story is nothing super complex but I like it for what it is. Basically an Alien just decided to be a jerk and stole the pieces from the PS5 and scattered all the bots and it's up to Astro to fix everything up. Not the most inspired story ever but that's not really an issue imo. The main alien is constantly bullying the CPU of the PS5 and it's honestly really funny to watch the scenes. For a game without any dialogue they really put their all into the story and I personally think they did an amazing job with the story.

Overall, like I said at the beginning of this, Astro Bot is a masterpiece. Everything this game sets out to do, it not only succeeds, but excel's at. This game doesn't have a single bad level or dull moment. I am not kidding when I say I don't even have any dumb nitpicks to muster up. Astro Bot is a perfect game in my eyes and Team Asobi should be goddamn proud of themselves for releasing a game this fucking good.

Astro Bot gets a 10/10 from me. Please go buy and play this game. It's wonderful.

A: I always have a hard time answering this because there are so many styles of games and I think some are better at certain aspects than others. For example, I think Frontiers had the best writing and actor perfomances. I still think Sonic Adventure 2 has the best gameplay and replay value. And Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is my favorite of the classics because I think it's the most visually perfect and the gameplay is a lot of fun. But if I have to choose, I guess I have to go with SA2 because I never get sick of it. My least favorite is Sonic Spinball haha I suck at it.

Here are some fun questions I received from @pccyouthleader about Aurora that I wanted to share:

Q: What are Aurora’s primary and secondary love languages?

A: I had to take the Love Language quiz as Aurora. I got her primary as Quality Time. Physical Touch and Acts of Service were nearly tied for second.

Q: Does she like practical jokes? I remember you saying at one point that sometimes she acts without considering the reactions.

A: Yes! She loves a good prank, so long as it doesn’t hurt anybody. Sometimes she doesn’t realize that not everybody enjoys a practical joke though.

Q: Is Aurora competitive?

A: She is, because she feels like she’s got a lot to prove. But not to the point where she’s going to hurt a kids feelings just so she can say she won at something. She’s always going to let little ones win.

Q: Do she have a guilty pleasure?

A: She loves reading romance novels and sometimes she writes friend-fictions like Amy does in Sonic Boom or Tina in Bob’s Burgers hahaha

Q: What quality does she most value in Shadow?

A: She loves how he is unapologetically himself, if that makes sense. Despite what he was created for, he is his own man/hedgehog and he’s forged his own path. Even when others try to put him down or break him, he knows who he is and he doesn’t back down and she’s in awe of that.

Q: Pet peeves?

A: Closed-mindedness is the main thing. Whether that’s about something important like accepting somebody for who they are, or something small like not willing to try a type of food for the first time. She doesn’t understand how people can be like that and it irks her. She also hates when people agree to something and then they flake out haha

Q: If she were shopping, what type of store would she choose and what type of item?

A: One of those record stores that has a little bit of everything. You go there for music and movies and books and they always have fun, quirky gifts. Even though the world she lives in is futuristic, she can appreciate classic things and finds them fascinating. Otherwise yeah she’d love a thrift shop because there’s always strange stuff in there. Wherever she shops, she can’t leave any store without getting something silly that she found cute.

Q: What is her most and least favorite chore?

A: Her favorite chore is spring cleaning, where everybody rummages through everything and downsizes stuff. She likes it just because of the things she’ll find that she’s forgotten about or never knew was in the house. Her least favorite chore is laundry. It’s boring and it never ends!

Q: Outside of swimming and singing, what others hobbies does she have?

A: She loves to dance, that’s a big one. I’ve also joked in the past that she’d do really well if Shadow ever brought her to a gun range, so with that in mind she’d find things like laser tag and paintball super fun

Q: I remember you saying she hadn’t traveled a lot, so if Aurora could choose anywhere to visit, what place would she most like to see?

A: She’d love to go to outer space. She’d never been to space before meeting Shadow. But she also gets that it’s a “ridiculous” dream since she hasn’t even explored all of her own planet yet. Honestly she would be happy to travel anywhere, she wants to see the whole world and beyond. She wants to experience the most of life.

Q: What is her favorite fairy tale?

A: Thumbelina. She could see herself in that story a lot: a small lady who is loved but doesn't really fit in anywhere, and gets whisked around by others trying to control what she does with her life. In the end she's rewarded for her kindness and finally finds where she belongs.

A: Please don't ever apologize for questions. I'm happy you're so interested! And especially glad you enjoy CC! When she was in her original "drone-like" form she couldn't feel pain but she could feel fear. When she builds her Mobian body, she engineers it so she does have all kinds of feeling-receptors, including pain. Not that pain is enjoyable to her, but it's important for her to be able to have as much of the Mobian-experience as possible. I wasn't expecting AI Art to pop off the way it has so I never thought to include it in my work. CC is beyond the AI form now though, she's a full on person. Just like Sage became a full person, beyond just her programming. So I think she and Sage have the ability to create their own forms of art from their own minds. I think I've address something similar in the past: CC has the ability to just play music from her body like a speaker, but she preferred to learn how to play an instrument because she wanted to experience the art form properly. CC didn't think to include a winter coat for her Mobian body, but upon snuggling with Tails she'd definitely add that to her list of future modifications! He's the fluffiest of them all in the winter so he'd be so snuggly and warm and lovely. Thank you for following me!

A: She likes that she's finally tall, but other than that she doesn't like how she looks. She's very self-conscious about her werehog form. But she loves how Shadow and Sonic look as werehogs.

A: Well, if she was the project she wouldn't be Aurora. She is the creation of Sonic and Amy so without them she wouldn't exist :) As far as her being immortal and Shadow being mortal: If Shadow was engineered in the 50s and he wasn't made immortal then they never would have met. He would have passed away long before she ever came around.

Anon Asked: How good of a fighter is Rory?

A: She is average as far as physical combat. She's better at diversions and dodging, using an opponents' energy against them. If she was playable in a game, I imagine she'd have a lot of QTE actions that allow her to dodge a boss and make them tire themselves out before she uses her light powers to damage them. While she attended the Young Heroes program she learned combat, but Sonic never wants her in harms' way so he instructed her to always try to distance herself from enemies so she can use her long-range light powers. But she won't back down from a fight if it means she can protect someone else.

A: All the kids can go super except for the third litter (Cinder, Diamond and Boon). Those three aren't able to use chaos emeralds at all. The family does not know why.

A: I always make fan kids for everything I'm obsessed with. If you knew me from my Naruto days, I had a huge world of Naruto kids. So naturally I wanted to give my favorite couple of all time (Sonic and Amy) a kid! As far as the name, Aurora is my favorite name in the world. Ever since I saw Sleeping Beauty as a child, I've loved that name. So I gave my favorite name to the child of my favorite couple. Also I think it suits her personality: Colorful, cheerful, hopeful.

A: Piper and Blitz are constantly bickering so a girls' day out tends to involve a lot of yelling and picking on each other haha. It involves a lot of Aurora going "Girls, remember, your sister is your best friend for life. You don't know how lucky you are to have siblings! TT_TT Please stop fighting."

Anon Asked: Has shadow ever taught any or all of his kids how to use a gun and if so how did Aurora feel about it? | And another Anon asked: If Shadow tells his children where babies come from, I am sure that he taught them how to 'defend yourself' with a gun at a very young age ... or at least tried haha I see sometimes short comics in which Shadow tries to teach Cream how to use a gun and I can imagine that this mf would totally try to do the same with his children. Would Shadow succeed if he tried this or would Aurora stop him?

A: Gun-wielding is a part of Shadow's identity so I'd never take that aspect away from him. And Aurora actually enjoys shooting too (targets, not people!) so she doesn't feel weird about that topic. However, I believe that they are huge proponents for RESPONSIBLE GUN OWNERSHIP so they keep all their weapons securely locked up and unloaded at ALL TIMES. And Shadow wouldn't teach the kids how to shoot until they're MUCH older and responsible enough to handle such a dangerous weapon. But you'd better believe he trained them well in marksmanship via laser tag and paintball as kids!

Anon Asked: Hi! I noticed that in your Aurora-comics Sonic grows a mustache as he gets older - what made him come to that decision? And what does Amy think about it???? What about kissing Sonic with a 'stache? I, personally, think he kind of resembles Eggman so, I'm not that big of a fan but that doesn't matter! I'm more interested on their POV. I still love the way you draw them, btw. And it's really sweet to see them together through the passage of time 🥰

A: Hi and thank you so much! Honestly, the reason I gave him a mustache was just to make him appear older haha. I tried multiple ways to age him up but the mustache was the most effective. Originally, I wanted to give him something more distinguished but I ran into two problems: 1 - I didn't want people mistaking him for Uncle Chuck. 2 - I don't see Sonic taking the time to properly sculpt a mustache/beard, so I gave him something rough and simple haha. I have drawn him deciding to grow it out and Amy's reaction to it :) Amy loved it, then didn't like it, then went back to loving it because now she gets the most ticklish, delicious kisses! 🥰 The good thing about hair/fur is that it's not permanent! You can always change it :)

Anon Asked: Omg ur feeding us so WELL with the content I honestly can’t picture actual sonic canon anymore without Aurora like she is completely canon in my mind I love her so much!! Also I have a kinda weird question, if Aurora saw a gay or lesbian couple out in public as a little kid and she was curious about it, how would sonic or amy explain it to her?

A: Aw, thank you! Well the Sonic franchise has been feeding ME well this year so I have the energy to nourish you all hahaha. I'm so happy you accept Aurora 🥰 I like to think that Sonic and Amy are very accepting and loving people and would raise their children to believe that too. Also, Aurora is VERY used to seeing public displays of affection from her parents, so if she saw two people kissing or holding hands in public, no matter their gender, she'd be bouncing up and down "OOH ARE THEY IN LOVE?! ARE THEY IN LOVE??" and Sonic and Amy would be like "That's right, Tiny!"

Anon Asked: What have been going on in Aurora's mind when she was a baby?

A: I'm not sure babies think about much 😉 Just general thoughts of "Mom, Dad, Food, Joy, Sleepy" But hey I could be wrong!

Anon Asked: Out of curiosity, I know that you ship Shadow + Aurora together (and I’m okay with that)… But what if the Time-Travel Adventure never happened?… What if Shadow never went on a Big-Space Adventure and stayed with the Others?… What if he was there to watch Aurora grow up, with the Others?… What would their relationship be like, if that happened?… Would Shadow become like Aurora’s Uncle or be like a Teacher/Mentor to her, in the ways of combat?… Or would they somehow still have a romantic relationship, instead of platonic? 😇?

A: Even if Shadow never left, I don't imagine he'd spend much time with Aurora as a child. He and Sonic are not friends, and though I'm sure he'd consider Amy a friend, I don't think they're close enough for him to want to be actively involved in their kid's life. I don't think he'd even be actively involved in Ruff and Tumble's lives if he was on-world the whole time. It'd be more of a "Oh... hey kids... just here to see your mom... goodbye..." He'd likely be more of an idol to Aurora and she wouldn't mean anything to him. That being said, I do believe in soulmates, and again Shadow is immortal so he does not age. So I believe that once she's grown up, that's when he starts to really see her for who she is and that attraction would come later in life, but that would not happen while she was a child obviously.

Anon Asked: What was the scariest movie that Aurora ever saw and how exactly did it end?

A: Aurora does not like scary movies so she avoids them haha. Sometimes she'll agree to watch a classic horror movie with Shadow because he likes that kind of thing but she still finds it terrifying haha. Aurora can sort of handle movies like Wolfman or Dracula but not anything more intense than that. She couldn't sleep for days after "Night of the Living Dead (1968)"

Anon Asked: i appreciate the effort you went thru compiling all those asks. felt like a free readers digest that was nice to read through! …and now here are more questions 😈 1- how does grandpa sonic feel about shadow’s shadoralets? i wonder if he jokingly calls em faker and lil fakers sometimes haha. 2- whats it like having amassed long time followers of your art stuff? A: I'm so happy you enjoyed my last set of asks, Anon. I hope you return and see your question here! Grandpa!Sonic is wayyyy more accepting of his son-in-law at this point and doesn't hold (much) ill-will towards him. However he does revel in the fact that Shadow doesn't know a moment of peace now that he's got a million children haha! But he loves his grandkids to death and so does Grandma!Amy. I did an old comic (having a hard time finding it right now) where Sonic has a dream about his future grandkids and when he wakes up he calls them "Tiny Fakers" but he would never actually call his grandkids that. They're his family! I appreciate that compliment and I can't believe you've been following me for so long! I'm honored (and blown away haha!). Honestly though I don't really think about the concept of having "followers" all that much. I just look at it as I'm here having fun drawing silly things and I've been lucky enough to have other people come and enjoy it with me. I'm very thankful for the support, especially to those who have tagged along for as long as I've been online.

A: I believe you're asking about Sally Acorn. If so, no I do not ship it and I won't draw it. If you're referring to another character, then I'm sorry but I don't know who that is.

A: That's hard to say, since we've only ever seen Amy have eyes for Sonic. I'm not against it, though.

Anon Asked: In your universe, have Sonic and Amy had any suuuper big fight in the marriage? If so, what would it be like for them and how do you think it’d “affect” their relationship??

A: I mostly avoid heavy topics and fights because we get enough of that in other media and I like most of my art to be a safe place people can go to to just get a good boost of feel-good serotonin! So for my main storyline, they get into little arguments and bicker over small things because all couples do, but I try not to ever put them in a giant blow-out fight that will alter their relationship. That being said, the biggest disagreement I ever have them going through is in Aurora's Time Travel adventure (which still hasn't been published yet, sorry!). Sonic adamantly believes Aurora should not risk her life and time travel in that story and Amy disagrees. This will put tension between them for awhile, but ultimately they will be okay.

The one time I tried to ~shake it up~ and try something different was when I got sushi for RM's docu. I ended up eating the rolls by hand because I grossly underestimated how difficult it was going to be to use chopsticks in the dark HAHAHAHA

What’s a book that you read because everyone else was reading it? That's pretty much how I ended up in the Twilight (supermassive) black hole. It was EVERYWHERE when I was in Grade 4 and offered literally no escape so I ended up saying fuck it and reading it too.

Bird watching or whale watching? Whale watching.

What was your best subject in school? History and any variation of it. Asian history, world history, social history...the required readings were pretty much leisure reading for me since I genuinely loved the subject.

Finished Baldur's Gate, very sweet little epilogue. Still mad we rolled a nat 20 on the 99 DC roll djdbdodnid

Bummed about some things in terms of cuts and whatnot, but still a very solid and fun game. Loved the aesthetic mods on my PS5 that made things just that little bit more enjoyable for me. Top of my list for sure just because the gameplay and I love a game with consequences and the narrative that sometimes your actions have consequences, and they can suck super fucking bad. Also ya'know, you can't save everyone.

Had me waxing poetic about Mass Effect and how I'm a trilogy ending apologist for a moment tonight. Makes me wanna replay it again... ahhhh. Love my kids.

Looking forward to my durge run when I do it eventually, but for now Ophira is my only baby ever and I love her. She's my perfect creation. I was already tooling in the character creator to make my durge and she has a sadness in her but eh. I'm not married to her. unu SHRUG.

But it was nice to really immerse in a game for a while again, fall in love with lore and a set of characters, have fun seeing what fucks up and doesn't. That was nice to do while in recovery ;;

I'm still struggling with my belly button incision causing some wild nausea if I'm sitting up too long, but I'm hoping I can get some art done soon. I just started being able to sleep on my side again last night. I'm a side sleeper and I hate sleeping on my back so I'VE BEEN SLEEPING LIKE ASS. More so Getting to sleep.....

this is just a dumb gen.shin rant idk where else to put

the fact that natlan feels so...not engaging at all i hate it. i've been playing this game since 1.1, i did that event the first time we ever saw scara, i lived thru the zhongli debacle and ayaka's forever banner. and the game is really important to me, during the pandemic it kept me close to my partner and my online friends. literally every other night i would play genshin with my partner and friends and i really do love this game.

but i have not been excited about natlan almost at all and there's so many reasons. like, it feels oddly disconnected from the other regions; they tried to explain it by the tribes staying in natlan, they can leave if they want but they dont, etc etc. but the weird jump in technological advancements like flying guns and an 8bit dragon and (spoiler moderately) motorcycles? leather body suits? unless the story progresses and explains philogisten (however you spell it) has some weird connection to the real world or something, idk. it takes me out of the immersion so badly. and, as a ps5 player, some of the mechanics for like, chasca and oro feel so uncomfortable. like i can't aim shot mid air with oro without physically moving my left hand off to aim it, because you HAVE to hold the circle button to keep him in air. it's hard to explain if you don't play on controller but trust me, it's awful.

ntm the character designs. how pasty white everyone is, and with the excuse of MAYBE xilonen and kachina, i just. don't like them at all. i look at xiangling and neuvi and, despite how vastly different their designs are, they have the same vibe, and i believe they're from the same game. but put chasca next to ningguang and i wouldn't believe you if i didn't already know.

and the fact the exploration in natlan is almost impossible to do comfortably if you don't have a natlan character. i have xilonen and even i find exploring certain regions painful to do. the animals you can use their skills for are clunky and slower than the character, and i know hyv did that on purpose to sell units but i've been ftp since they refused to address the white-washing, and for me it doesn't incentivize me to invest in new units, it just makes me not want to explore. ALSO exploring with natlan characters OUTSIDE of natlan doesnt feel great. they should have gone all in and given the characters the same abilities in all the regions, like furina walking on water no matter where she is. otherwise their 'gimmick' is just that, and has no functional use outside of their region.

the AQ was alright. i enjoyed the end bit, the actual war and how real everything felt, but maybe i'm biased as nothing, to me, can beat fontaine or liyue. some of my favorite quests are in those regions. and the fact half the voice cast is on protest isn't helping? like i know that's not their fault, but i love the eng va's and with my memory and adhd, not having to read subtitles really helps my retention sometimes.

it just sucks. i really love this game and i want to keep playing but natlan feels like a fucking drag. AND THIS ISN'T TO LIKE. be mean to anyone who enjoys natlan as a whole, that's amazing and truly i'm envious. i wish i could, i'm trying, but it's not clicking for me and i hate it. i've been playing this game so long, i don't want to give up on my investments you know.
