Something that makes me believe in destiny is that evening in the summer when I went out for a late run and didn’t feel quite so good because I usually go out much earlier in the day. what should have stayed as a simple walking cycle excercise ended up getting a bit out of hand and frankly out of my grasp. and i am more than happy to explain to you about it below the cut

this was very much a circumstance where i bit more than i could chew and there were multiple times where i was more than ready to throw this entire thing to the garbage.

the main problem was the background. ideally when animating a background what you do is that the farther away from the camera something is the slower it moves, which should be easy enough to animate except i could not make it sync with the walking speed of the characters and i couldnt find any tutorials that could teach me how to do this one angle in particular. so i had to end up with a really awkward compromose that frankly doesnt look very good.

originally the background was actually going to contain objects, it was going to be an actual scenario, a place, maybe a hallway or a temple or an alley, but it couldnt be.

but i pulled through, is not a shadow of what i envisioned but its done and i can move on to better things.
