god I love how ed keeps subverting gender norms and expectations. he's literally named for his beard, he's the most feared pirate on the seven seas, the legends describe him as some sort of devil-like figure with glowing eyes and a head of smoke, all the portraits of him are these hypermasculine caricatures, so you'd expect him to be toxic macho man but NO. he's ed teach. he's queer. he ties his hair in a bun. he has a shiny dangly earring. he paints his nails pink. he loves soft fabrics. he drinks his tea with seven sugars. he wears pearly necklaces. he cries a lot. he paints the bride cake topper to look like him. he wears eye makeup. he's emo. he writes a sad breakup song. he actively dislikes being blackbeard and putting that mask on anymore. he's everything to me he's one of the best characters of all time

“Wait,” Steve propped himself on his elbow, getting into a half-lying, half-sitting up position, “you’d do that for me?”
“Yeah man,” Eddie replied. He shimmied a little bit closer to the middle of the mattress and snuggled to his pillow. His eyebrows furrowed as he yawned. “I mean, I kind of did that already, didn’t I?”
Steve just kept on looking at him, stunned. It felt so strange to be cared for; to be remembered, known. He’d never had been, not like that—with Robin, sure, but that was different. He’d never felt like that with Nancy. With anyone. He hadn’t had to try and make out someone’s silhouette in the darkness, just to read their face and decide whether they were just selfless and nice or doing something for him. Truly for him, for the sake of doing it for him. It had never been an issue, because there had never been anyone about whom he’d had to wonder things like that. It had always been an exchange of sorts in this context.
But not with Eddie.
Steve’s head started to spin.
“Honestly I can’t wait for you to see it. You know she’s not really my type, but even I can see how fucking cool this car is. It felt a little like tuning my guitar or—”
Steve didn’t even register it when he reached for Eddie’s face, his consciousness wasn’t in the room when he lowered himself down and sank even closer to the boy who’d put his heart in a wrench. He just kissed him, and when he did – momentarily, it was a complete bliss. As long as his lips were gently pressed to Eddie’s, no matter how hard his heart was beating, it felt like he would be okay after all. Nothing else was important; he was kissing Eddie. He felt warm and cared for; he was kissing Eddie.
Eddie.
Steve felt a finger hook at the rim of his shirt, he felt himself being pulled closer.
The panic came approximately three seconds later.
Their lips parted with the softest tsk, but Steve heard it several times louder. His senses were screaming at him, all alarms set off; the smell of Eddie’s shampoo lingered around his face, the sensation of chapped lips lingered against his, his fingers were tingling where they came in contact with Eddie’s slightest stubble.
It was curious how much Eddie reminded him of a cat at that moment. He was rigid, but ready to spring into action whenever, and his eyes were ridiculously big, almost fluorescent in the dim moonlight that was seeping through the trailer’s curtains. The longer Steve looked into those eyes, the more he felt like he might have fucked up. Bad.
“Should I—I should, I mean I…” He trailed off, getting a little further away from Eddie with every word. “I should, yeah, probably. Go.”
He practically jumped out of the bed, and it pained him how cold it was without Eddie close to him. He’d gotten so used to sleeping here, just sleeping, whenever Wayne was out and no uncomfortable questions would be asked, so that they both could feel a little less alone.
“I’ll take the van, we’ll exchange cars later today, alright?” Steve looked for his change of clothes in the darkness. They were, as usual, neatly stacked in his designated space at Eddie’s desk. “I’m sorry, I didn’t—I mean, I did, but I’m, uh. I’m…” He trailed off, his cheeks getting embarrassingly hot and pink, he supposed, even though he couldn’t see himself in the mirror.
It felt wrong to say he was sorry. He was, obviously, he just kissed Eddie out of nowhere, but it didn’t feel like a mistake. His lips were still warm. He wanted to purse them tightly to keep the memory of Eddie’s lips on his firmly in place.
“We should do it again.”
Steve froze.
“What?”
He turned back towards the bed. It was much easier to make out Eddie’s form now. He was sitting up, chewing his thumbnail, his eyes barely flickering to Steve. His hair stood out against the white-ish wall and Eddie’s gray T-shirt. The waves were quite disheveled, but still cascaded beautifully over his shoulders.
Damn, Steven.
“We should do it again. If you’re not sure, we should do it again.”
Not sure about what? Steve did not dare ask. Eddie looked so nervous, maybe even more nervous than Steve felt. Both of their breaths were coming short now, as if they’d just run a marathon.
Apprehensively, Steve sat back down on the edge of the bed. The mattress dipped underneath him and he swayed a bit forward.
“We should kiss. Again?” That really was what it was, right?
Eddie nodded his head quickly. Steve’s breath hitched when the smell of Eddie’s shampoo reached his nose once again.
There were very few thoughts in Steve’s head. There was just Eddie, right in front of him, chewing his nail, nodding away. Wanting to kiss him, again, having been kissed once already. Steve was confused and more than a little queasy, but his willpower wasn’t quite strong enough to get him questioning things.
“Okay,” he mumbled. Eddie finally looked at him, lowered his hand to his lap and nodded.
Some sort of nervous sound rumbled in the back of Steve’s throat. Okay. It was okay. He leaned in—and Eddie leaned in at the same time. Warm breath tickled Steve’s lips, and he stopped just before meeting Eddie half-way.
“Are you su—”
Eddie was kissing him before the sentence got out of his mouth in its entirety. Really kissing him, not just pressing their lips together, kissing him, still incredibly stiff and distanced, but kissing him. Oh, with something more than just curiosity, Steve could tell. He let out one heavy breath through his nose and felt Eddie relax right away with him. Their lips were in perfect harmony; Steve’s chest tightened. His stomach felt heavy and full and squirmy and for some reason Steve had never felt better than in this moment, even though his eyes stung and he could barely breathe.
His hands acted on their own accord, one settling on Eddie’s shoulder, the other on his cheek, keeping him close, closer, closer still.
Their lips parted. Steve felt the loss immediately.
“I’m gonna…” Eddie whispered huskily, untangling his legs from the cover and shifting his position. It was funny how one of his knees kind of hovered over Steve’s lap in silent question – it was even funnier how long it took Steve to process that.
“Yeah, feel free, please.”
What the fuck, Steven.
Eddie straddled his lap and leaned right back for another kiss, pressing their chests together. Their hearts kept thump thump thumping loudly against their chests, and Steve was kind of actively losing his mind over that. Eddie, in his gray T-shirt and stupid plaid shorts, was straddling his lap, kissing him, making him believe that he had the whole world in the palm of his hand. Was it even real? Could Steve touch him? Would it really be alright? He laid his hand on Eddie’s thigh, feeling hair and goosebumps underneath his fingers. Another conclusion from that night: Eddie was hot. Steve kissed him harder, and he reciprocated, grabbing Steve’s neck.
Steve had no idea for how long they had been kissing, until Eddie swayed dangerously close to the edge of the bed and Steve’s neck started to hurt. It wasn’t nearly enough, but that was it.
For now, hopefully.
“It’s getting late,” he mumbled against Eddie’s lips, “and you’ve got to be at the shop at 8 sharp tomorrow.”
“Yeah,” Eddie said and stole one more peck. “You wanna sleep?”
Fuck me if I can, Steve thought, but nodded yes.
“But let’s talk tomorrow? Okay?”
Eddie’s hands were still cupping his cheeks. His lips seemed sleek and shiny, shinier than his eyes, even.
“We must,” he replied. They both nodded. For some reason Steve’s heart started beating even faster now.
Eddie scrambled from his lap, cleared his throat and rearranged the covers, getting back into his favourite position. Steve followed suit. The gap between them seemed enormous and immediately got filled with anxious energy.
Steve reached between them hesitantly. For a few seconds his hand just lay there, empty and suddenly very cold. Eddie’s open palm touched his. He let out a big breath.
They would figure it out. For sure. Tomorrow.

Unedited btw, plz dont crucify me ill die :(
Tumblr media
It wasn’t unusual for you and Miguel to wind down after the sun had set. Movie night was a must, whether it was cheesy romcoms for you to sob to, horror movies for Miguel to be annoyed at, or even action movies to make fun of–as long as it was together. Still, Miguel teased you by holding the remote up above his head and out of your reach. He grins with one hand on his hip and watches you reach up with no progress in sight. “Give it!” You laugh, trying to keep your anger believable. “No, first you take my clothes and I know you’re gonna pick one of those creepy knock off animated movies.” He chuckles and he walks off. Due to the size difference, every step of his was three of yours–practically chasing after him. “Put respect on Over the Hedge’s name! It’s not even a knock off!” Miguel plops on the couch on one side with a huff of laughter. “Fine, fine. Here–take it!” He throws the remote above your head and you pause and stumble back.
You reach high up to grab the remote. “You asshole!” You laugh. The remote hits your fingertips and bounces a bit farther back. Your crop top rides and flows up as you lean back onto one foot to finally grasp the device in your hand.
Miguel could feel everything happen in slow motion. The small glimpse of your underboob before your nipples finally come into view. The grin on Miguel’s face slowly drops and he could feel drool slipping from his lips. He watched your boobs bounce, the roundness of your flesh and perky buds making his cheeks go red. He can’t help the disappointment in his face when your arms fall back down, shirt hiding the glorious view of your tits.
“Caught it!” You smirk at him triumphantly. His eyes continue to glance at your tits.  “Yeah, uh…” He gulps. “Nice catch.” He adjusts his shorts, hoping his growing bulge wasn’t too apparent.
You don’t notice, too engrossed in your victory and making Miguel speechless. So, you crawl in his lap, Miguel’s hands suspended in mid-air as you nestle yourself in his arms. You feel his muscles surround you like a warm comfortable blanket, leaning your back on his firm chest while you click the buttons to turn on the TV.
“So what are we picking this time?” You ask, flipping through random trailers to find what you’re looking for.
“Huh? Oh, uh, anything’s fine.” Miguel shrugs half-heartedly. He’s too focused looking down at your crop top. Slowly and gingerly, his fingers caress your stomach–light and feathery as if trying to be discreet.
“Yeah sure, whatever. Don’t complain if you don’t like it.” You laugh softly, clicking on a random movie that looked good enough.
“Mhm.” Miguel mumbles, not even hiding his disinterest in a damn movie right now. While your eyes are on the opening scene on the TV, Miguel’s eyebrows scrunch together, his lips into a tight line as he resists his urges.
He can’t help it though. He gets handsy, Miguel carefully caressing your stomach. You barely notice it since the two of you always get snuggled up like this.
You only notice when he hikes higher up, his hips shifting slightly while his fingers run up and down the valley of your tits. You smack his arm around your waist with the remote.
“What are you doing?” You ask, trying to sound annoyed but the smile seeps through your tone.
“Nuthin’” He murmurs. Miguel then feels the curve of your breast, his fingers itching for a squeeze.
“We’re supposed to be bonding.” You move to turn your head up at him. You try to meet his eyes but he stays glued downwards to your chest.
“We are.” Miguel insists, his lips slightly parted. His thumb swipes across your nipple and you gasp, feeling your cheeks burn. He can feel the nub perk up and his tongue darts out to lick his lips, biting his bottom lip to hide the satisfied smile on his face.
Miguel takes his chances, bending down to kiss along your neck, tugging you closer to him and making you melt. His body moves against yours and your eyes flutter shut. His mouth gently sucks and licks your skin and you shiver. Miguel grabs your left tit, the plump flesh squeezed in his palm. His fingers flick your nipple, circling around before gently twisting it.
You back arches and you moan. “Ah–fuck, Miguel!” You hissed, a burning heat crawling up your neck. Your hand lifts up to curl in his hair while he attacks your neck, his other hand running down to his boxers you were wearing. He slips his fingers in the front hole of the boxers, using his index and middle fingers to spread your folds apart. You feel him nip your neck with a smile as he smears your slick around your clit.
He then uses both of his hands to lift your shirt up and over your head. Your breasts are now out in the open, the cool air hitting your chest and making your nipples hard. You barely get a word out, Miguel already cupping your boobs and squeezes them. Your hips buck back to grind on his crotch, eyes closing as he plays with you. Miguel used his fingers to tease your nipples simultaneously, flicking and tweaking them. He lifts them up and watches them fall down before squeezing them again. Your pussy is soaking through his boxers, aching for more stimulation that’s making you feel empty.
His eyes are dark watching his own hands play with your chest, the memory of the bounce of your tits as you caught the remote high in the air. He wanted to see that again.
Tumblr media
Miguel could feel his cock swell and twitch along with each bounce of your breasts. You have your body arching, hands behind you and holding onto his thighs. He plays with your tits switching with his hands or his mouth–but if you asked him, he preferred sucking on them. So that’s where he was now, lips attached to your right nipple and his right hand playing with your left. You slammed down on his cock, whining since you barely felt him thrust up. But in all honesty, Miguel could do this forever with your tits in his mouth and his cock buried in your cunt. While his tongue sucked and lipped your nipple, he knew if he didn’t focus, he’d cum instantly. He looks up at you after playfully biting down on your nub, your squeaks making his dick twitch against your walls. You look down with glossy eyes, hips stuttering and pussy throbbing when you see him smirk up at you with your boob in his mouth. One of his hands that was on your waist comes up to your back to keep your body arched. Miguel scrunches his eyes shut, eyebrows furrowed while he sucks on your nipple, his hips jerking and balls slapping against your ass. You wail with each thrust, falling forward and holding onto the backrest making your boobs squish in his face. Miguel groans as he lets you fall on top of him, hands falling down to your ass as you grind on him. His cock slips in and out of your wet cunt with a wet squelch. It makes you bite your lip with a loud whimper, the action making your man under you tug on your nipple with his teeth. He’s obsessed with you, Miguel pulling away just enough to make your tits swing in his face. He glances up at your pleasure filled face, sweat glistening down your face and body while you panted and whined. He’s entranced, eyes falling down to follow the way your boobs bounce as he fucks up into you. Miguel trusts you to keep fucking yourself on his while his hands leave your ass to come up and cup and squeeze both your breasts. He kneads them and watches your mouth drop open to moan. Your head hangs and your foreheads almost touch. Miguel doesn’t need to tell you a damn thing, his lips parted while he looks at yours. You lean down to kiss him, Miguel immediately slipping his tongue past your defenses with a low groan. He continues groping you, his hips smacking up with your thrusting and he can feel himself about to cum. He can tell you’re about to too by the way your pussy spasms wildly, sucking him in deeper and soaking him in your slick.
So he hammers into you, grunting as he puts all his strength in making you cream. Your eyes roll back, mouth separating from his to dig your nails into his shoulders and roll your hips. You can barely get a word out, garbled moans of his name escaping you while your body twitches, ecstasy flowing through from top to bottom. Miguel watches your chest heave as you catch your breath, your juices dripping out of your a making a sticky mess in his lap. You’re dizzy and weak, body flopping forward on his chest. Miguel soothes you, curling his hand in your hair and pressing you into the crook of his neck. He kisses the top of your head and you’re too numb to feel him take your body off him. He places your back down on the couch, hair sticking to your face with sweat, lips plumped from kissing. You’re whining when your sensitive folds feel his still hard cock rub in between them, accidentally slipping his tip in a few times. You swallow to get the dryness out of your throat. “Mig…Mig…” You’re cut off when Miguel slams into you, your body jerking and tits bouncing with the hard thrust. Your hazy vision rolls onto his face, Miguel glued onto your chest still. He gives another few soft thrusts and watches your boobs jiggle around. You feel his cock jump inside your walls, a soft hum of approval coming from deep in his throat. He bends down, biting and licking the side of your tit to add another mark to his collection. His teeth marks littered around your plump and round flesh–his favorites being the ones around your areola.
His face is buried in your breasts while he pounds into you, your head thrown back and legs locked around his waist. Oh, he’s in heaven.

Fire & Ice 🔥🧊 | MCU!Johnny Storm Imagine
Tumblr media
Link to my Marvel masterlist
Characters & Pairings: JosephQuinn!JohnnyStorm x enhanced!reader (romantic), the Fantastic Four (platonic), The Avengers (platonic).
Content Warnings: fluff, profanity, mentions of canon violence and death, canon divergence, light angst | female!reader (she/her) | wc: 7K
Requested 📨 yes/no
Premise: Earth-616 is no stranger to the multiverse. Since the defeat of Thanos in 2023, the Avengers have had their fair share of visitors from other worlds and know what to expect when they do. But when a man wearing the same face of their late comrade arrives, the Avengers are in for the shock of their lives when a group of heroes tailing the individual fall through the portal behind him. And for the flying, fire-wielding, and sometimes charming Johnny Storm, he meets his match in the form of a woman whose power and reputation matches that of her cold, steel, heart.
Note: Happy 2025 everyone! To kick off the year I am gifting y'all this damn idea that's been stuck in my head the past two weeks. Now if you've been following my work since I started, then you know I was pumping out Marvel fics back in the day. Phase 1-4 of Marvel have my heart, and unfortunately the disappointment of Phase 5 (with few exceptions) had me lose interest. BUT if there was one thing I absolutely loved when I was a kid, it was the OG Fantastic Four movies with Chris Evans, Jessica Alba, etc. I watched those literally every day and before the Avengers/MCU I rolled hard with the FF, Blade, & X-Men (I've got another idea involving Deadpool & Wolverine cooking). So I have a lot of expectations for FF: First Steps especially because the MCU has had so many misses the last two years. I love Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, and Joseph Quinn, I haven't watched The Bear, but I've heard great things about Ebon Moss-Bachrach and I look forward to his and the rest of the cast's portrayal of the FF.
I've been a fan of JQ since 2022 because like majority of people I discovered him by his performance as Eddie in Stranger Things. I'll admit I haven't seen much of his filmography, but I did watch A Quiet Place: Day One and he was phenomenal. And don't get me started on Gladiator II. I was pleased to hear he'd be playing my first love Johnny Storm and I know he'll do amazing, not to mention he has said that he was a fan of the OG movies and Chris' version of the character. Whenever I hear an actor is a fan of the source material, I know they're going to deliver.
The movie hasn't come out, neither has the trailer, so I don't have much to work with. But we know that FF:FS is following the origin story of the FF and will feature the Silver Surfer. AND it's rumored to be where RDJ's Doctor Doom will debut, setting up Avengers: Doomsday and he will be the big villain of the MCU. This obviously is diverging from canon and pretty much an AU story, remember that please. SO here's my treat to my fellow Johnny Storm lovers to feed y'all since we still got months until FF:FS. Enjoy.
----------------------
The blinding light of the sun peaking through the curtains pulled Johnny from his sleep before the alarm was set to go off. Had it been any other day he’d be upset. Wishing nothing more than to curl into the comforter and get the extra minutes of sleep. But thankfully it was Sunday--the day reserved for rest. No agenda. No training. No missions. Completely free and dedicated to recoupling after a week filled with non-stop action.
And if there was anyone who would be displeased at waking up earlier than needed, it was the woman lying beside him. Fast asleep on her back with one hand curled beneath the pillow and the other clasping his on her chest. Body cooler than the average person, which made the atmosphere of the room comfortable considering Johnny’s was hotter than the average citizen. Figuratively and literally.
Johnny smiled, happily tucking himself further into her space, chin leaning on her shoulder as he snuggled against her side. Allowing his eyes to flutter close and accept the slumber his body itched to claim. The fresh scent of shea butter from her shampoo and body wash filled his nostrils, and he sighed in content.
This was what life was worth living.
But just when Johnny welcomed the darkness, the annoying, blazing sound of their alarm clock echoed against the walls, disturbing the peaceful moment and making him flinch and groan. “Dammit,” he rolled onto his back, arm reaching to slap at the air until his fingers grasped the device. Snoozing it asleep with a press of a button.
Now he was fully awake.
Flinging himself back onto the mattress, he felt her body shift before letting out a soft chuckle, “Had you turned it off when you first woke, you’d have spared yourself this torment.” Her voice was laced with tiredness, and Johnny turned his head to find her eyes still closed but clear amusement painting her visage by the smirk on her lips.
Rolling his eyes, he moved to lay on his side and brought his arm around her waist, “Why didn’t you? Seeing as you were also awake.”
“Too comfy.”
“Well, so was I,” he sassed, mouth hovering over her jaw before leaning down to kiss the skin, the coolness sending a chill along his spine. She hums, nuzzling into the touch, seeking it.
“The alarm is also on your side.”
Johnny smirks against her cheek, mischief coating his gaze, “you could’ve reached over me, you know. Saved us both the hassle.” His hand reached up to stoke her jaw, trailing to tangle his fingers in her hair. Soft and silky. He takes a moment to appreciate the beauty before him. From her thick eyelashes, to her lips. Her cheekbones and kissable lips.
“Oh you would like that, wouldn’t you,” she challenged with no actual bite to her tone, one eye peeking open. “Me on top of you in the morning.” He didn’t even deny it, flashing a toothy smile
“Very much so.”
Instead of replying, Y/n moved to push the man onto his back, throwing her leg over his waist to lay herself on top of him. Johnny’s hands immediately grabbed her, keeping her body pressed against his with one hand on her back and the other firmly on her hips. The heat radiating off his complexion clashed against the frostiness of hers. Two polar opposites coming together in an explosion of love and devotion.
Johnny welcomed it with open arms, bringing her mouth to his in a tender kiss. Chuckling as she fought away while mumbling about morning breath to which he didn’t care. He kissed her like his life depended on it. Like they were the only two people in existence. For there was nothing sweeter on the planet than the taste of her lips on his.
And thanks to the fire that consumed his veins, Johnny was spared from getting frostbite.
“Happy?” She asked while pulling away, but not getting far as Johnny cupped her jaw in his hand to keep her close. Kissing her once more after mumbling, “exceptionally.”
The tale of the Human Torch falling in love with the Ice Princess begins long ago, three years to be exact, when the Fantastic Four find themselves sitting across the table of Earth’s mightiest heroes, the Avengers.
Everything leading up to the moment was still a blur to the young Johnny Storm. One moment he and his team, the Fantastic Four as they called themselves, were fighting the formidable Doctor Doom in their 60s-style futuristic Earth. And the next they are pulled into another universe while tailing the bastard to prevent him from bringing utter destruction to the world. It hadn’t even been five minutes and the Four were surrounded by armored trucks and individuals donning costumes similar to their own.
“Hands where we can see them!”
“State your name and purpose!”
“Who are you and where did you come from!”
Johnny’s heart pounded against his chest. The anxiety piling up like a volcano ready to explode as he took in the scene before him. There were guns pointed at him and his friends. A man in a blue tunic and red cape with his hands raised in defense next to a young girl wearing a brown tunic. Another man in a red, white, and blue tactical suit with wings who landed in front of them. His shield reflecting off the light. Next to him was a man in a similar attire with wings but in grey. Then there was a woman in all purple, bow and arrow trained on the Four. A man with five golden rings on either wrist. A masked individual in a bright red and blue suit with spider webbing detail crouched on top of a car. And finally, a woman in a striking gray tactical ensemble stood closest to Johnny with a cold look in her eyes.
Upon making a flame with his hands, ready to defend himself and his friends, Johnny watched her face shift to amusement. Raising her brow as though unimpressed by the trick, “Don’t even try, hotshot.” And without taking her eyes off his, her palm raised up to form an icicle in the shape of a dagger. Her other arm extended to show her skin turning completely into ice.
Yeah, Johnny wasn’t sure if it was fear or arousal that consumed him. He often confused them at times. All he knows is there was a pretty woman before him with ice powers with cold eyes ready to strike him down with God knows what laid in store for him should he dare tempt her.
But now wasn’t the time to flirt. There were more important matters at stake. Like the fact they were surrounded by highly advanced, highly enhanced, people with an army of soldiers at their command. In a place that looked like New York but lacked the 60s style he was accustomed to.
“Cuff them and begin transport to HQ!”
“Find me Banner and clear this area at once!”
The Four were at a loss. Outnumbered and confused, none able to process what the fuck was going on. They lost Doom. He was God knows where and they were not a match against these strangers. So they took their loss and compiled as they were restrained by agents.
“What the fuck is happening, Reed?” Johnny demanded, struggling against the cuffs on his arms and ankles. His power seemingly unable to melt the damn things which both intrigued and terrified him.
“I don’t know?”
“Where are we?” said Sue from beside the genius, expression full of confusion and slight fear. The last thing she remembered was falling through a glowing yellow-orange light in the shape of a ring and the feeling of nausea hitting her full force. Giving her whiplash.
But before anyone could answer, the blinding light of the sun hit them as the door whipped open and agents ushered them out of the vehicle. Clashes of voices, cameras flashing as news crews desperately tried to breach the barrier guards had formed and even a helicopter flying above. Johnny glanced up to take in the chaos, gaze falling onto the large building before him with a giant ‘A’
The Four are led to a large glass encased room, still cuffed, and ordered to sit and wait while armed guards post themselves outside. Expecting someone to come in and interrogate them, they take the moment to assess the area. Noting that the glass room sat perched above a large space, like a bullpen, where people were rushing to answer phones, type on computers, or stood watching the vast tv screens splayed on the wall. The news channels played footage of what transpired on the streets moments prior. The Four tense when they see an image of Doctor Doom, disappearing after falling from what appeared to be a portal in the sky.
Just like they did.
The sound of the glass door opening captured their attention, turning to find the man in the wingsuit and the woman in gray. Their body language showed they were on high alert, analyzing the Four for any potential threat, and they exchanged a look before the man set down his shield on a free chair while the woman placed a stack of files onto the table.
“I’m Captain Sam Wilson, this is Agent Y/n L/n,” The man spoke first, cutting right to the chase, “You’re not from here, are you?”
“Here?” Reed repeated, perplexed.
“Earth-616,” Y/n answered, locking eyes with each of the Four, lingering on Johnny before falling onto Reed. “At first we suspected you’re with Hydra, or part of the team Fontaine has been cooking up. But ruled those possibilities out once we saw the footage of your friend who preceded you in the portal.”
The Four processed her words, unable to identify the names she spoke of.
“Hydra?”
“We don’t know who this Fontaine person is, but we can assure you we’re not involved with them.”
“You saw Doom? We have to find him immediately!”
“I’m sorry, did you say Earth-616?,’ Reed reeled back to her initial answer. Y/n crossed her arms over her chest with a nod.
“I did,” she then turned to Sam, lowering her voice but they were still able to hear everything, “This isn’t going to be easy, Cap. They obviously hadn’t discovered what we know and that makes them a liability.”
“We have no choice. Whoever traveled with them is still out there and they know what we’re up against. We need them.”
“And how exactly are we going to send them back to where they came from?”
“We’ll figure it out like we always do,” Sam’s tone grows stern, but Y/n holds her ground and doesn’t reveal any ounce of intimidation. “Strange and Banner can find something.”
Johnny, having had enough of them talking about them as though they weren’t right there, spoke up with annoyance, “Can you two please tell us what the fuck is going on? What do you mean “send us back where we came from,” and that we hadn’t discovered what you apparently know?”
Reed pitches in, “Sounds like you’re suggesting the theory of the multiverse is real and that we’ve somehow breached the gap between space, time, and reality and have fallen into a parallel universe,” the genius scoffs, gaze flicking between the two as though waiting for them to say, ‘Sike!’ only for his stomach to plummet in fear as he saw how serious they were. “Oh my God.”
Reed’s reaction to the implication was enough to cause the same in his friends. Sue’s face paled, Ben froze, and Johnny felt a sudden urge to throw up. They were in another universe.
They watch as Y/n removes a device from her utility belt, stiffening as she points it at the man, a buzzing sound emitting from its speakers causing her brows to furrow and the man leaned over to read whatever it was on the screen. “You’re human, like us, and your DNA appears to be altered with enhanced biological traits.” Glancing up from the screen, her head tilts with suspicion, “but that’s not the interesting part…..your readings indicate you obtain multiversal particles.”
The revelation sent the Four into hysterics. All denying at first the inevitable truth, speaking over each other, struggling against their cuffs--which Sam removed once they calmed down. Reed was dealing with shock and excitement, for the scientific discovery was something he always theorized was true. Meanwhile the others were more fearful of what this meant for their world and the one they were in.
For hours after the initial shock wore off, they stayed in that room until all information was exchanged between the groups. Sam infomed the Four they were at Avengers campus, headquarters for the Avengers. A team consisting of biologically or technologically enhanced individuals responsible for the safety and order of Earth-616 against domestic, international, and intergalactic threats.
“Well now we can add multiversal to the mix,” Y/n crossed her arms over her chest, seemingly annoyed with having to deal with another damn enemy after they’d finally defeated an adversary not long ago.
Part of Johnny wanted to laugh at her irritation, but that probably would’ve made things worse on his end. So he kept his mouth shut.
Sam and Y/n were soon joined by the man in the tunic, who introduced himself as Doctor Stephen Strange. A Master of the Mystic Arts who had experience traveling the multiverse, and had even met a variant of Reed years prior.
He didn’t go into detail obviously of how that ended.
Not long later he was followed by a large man who’s physique rivaled Ben’s and was green. “Dr. Reed Richards, meet Dr. Bruce Banner,” Y/n did not look up from her tablet, full focus on the screen. “You two will surely get on well with figuring out what the fuck it is this Doctor Doom wants with our world.”
While they didn’t join the group, Sam explained who the other team members were that helped attain the Fantastic Four. Stephen’s protegee, America Chavez, who had the power to travel the multiverse--which had Reed’s eyes bulging from his head. He definitely wanted to have a conversation with her. There was Kate Bishop, the purple archer who trained under former Avenger, Clint Barton. Sam’s wingman, Joaquin Torres, and Shang-Chi, who possessed the Ten Rings. Lastly there was Peter Parker, the boy donning the red and blue webbed suit.
They mentioned the Thunderbolts, another team of enhanced individuals who were more anti-heroes and had once been adversaries of the Avengers but are now allies. Then there was the Guardians of the Galaxy. A team of intergalactic heroes traveling space and protecting the galaxy from threats not on Earth. The Norse Gods of Asgard, now living on Earth. Shuri, Scott Lang, Hope Van Dyne, and the Marvels. Lastly, they touched on former Avengers. Ones who retired, like Barton, and the ones who perished.
Finally, when things seemed to settle, Johnny decided to lift the mood by saying, “So do you guys have nicknames? Or like code for when you’re on missions?” Sue shot him a look that read, “For the love of God, Johnny.”
Y/n lifted her eyes from the tablet, giving him a once over, “Are you serious right now?”
“What?”
“Aye, take it easy, L/N,” Sam pitched in, waving a hand for emphasis. “Can’t blame the kid for being curious.” All he receives is a mock scoff.
“Okay, Captain America.”
Johnny’s ears perked up as he looked at Sam with interest. Boyish grin plastered on his face, “You’re called Captain America? That’s really cool.” He motions toward the suit and shield, “Should’ve guessed as much though with the colors of your suit and stars.”
“I used to be the Falcon, but Torres has taken on that mantle. Strange is just strange,” Y/n snickered under her breath, causing Johnny to bite back a smile. “We call America, Miss America.”
Ben nods his head in approval, “fitting.”
Sam continued listing off the aliases of the team, finally coming to Y/n who narrowed her eyes with a frown as he said, “And she’s the Ice Princess.”
Honestly she should be grateful for the nickname and that it sounded quite regal in comparison to other ice related names. Hell, they could’ve dubbed her Frost. Or Snowflake. Or God forbid Icicle. At least with the Ice Princess it made her sound both menacing and dauntless. Still, it was too on the nose. And it didn’t help that before the accident that granted her the powers and the Avengers, she was a socialite in America. Before they died, her parents were wealthy investors and friends with the late Tony Stark.
Johnny didn’t try to hide his grin, “The Ice Princess,” earning a glare from the woman, obviously not amused by the nickname nor his delight from it.
“And what do they call you, hotshot? Firestarter? Flame-man?”
He shrugs sheepishly, cheeks a tint red, “Human Torch.” Now that has Y/n’s lips curl, fighting back the smile as she hums.
Setting the Four up at campus, they were given rooms and full access to the labs and training facilities. Reed and Ben immediately joined Banner, while Johnny and Sue decided to observe the Avengers and learn from them. Their dynamics. Their history. The way they train and how they come together to develop strategy. How they are able to make a team consisting of individuals with different levels of abilities, experience, and ethics work.
Johnny would be lying if he said he wasn’t the most curious about Y/n. Not only was she the most beautiful, and quite terrifying, woman he’d ever met, but he was drawn to her aura. The power she held, both physically and on the team. She was extremely intelligent, a mentor to the young members, witty. Unafraid to go toe-to-toe with Sam or Strange.
And her powers….they were exact opposites. Fire and ice. Hot and cold. Where he controlled flames, she manipulated glaciers. He turned himself into a human torch, she transformed to a human icicle.
Talk about opposites attract.
Days passed, and the two teams merged together with the goal of locating their common enemy. By keeping up with the news and reports of suspicious activity, they were able to narrow down the search for Doom. Suspecting him to be hiding somewhere in the New England area.
The day before planning to scour the location, the teams trained with each other, none holding back. Showing off what they were made of. An enthralling experience considering the Fantastic Four had only been a team for a couple years in comparison to the fifteen plus of the Avengers. Banner being the only founding member there, Sam and Y/n not far behind.
“I like her,” Sue whispered to her brother when Y/n sideswiped Joaquin and put him on his ass. The group made a circle around the matts in the gym and were taking turns going against each other. Sue caught the way the man’s gaze followed the Avenger. Mesmerized by her skill and ability. And Sue always knew when her brother had a crush. “You should go next when it’s her turn again.”
Johnny didn’t respond, but the look on his sister's face, a cheeky smirk told him he wasn’t being conspicuous as he thought he was with his feelings. “Shut up.”
The most tense, and nearly destructible moment, came when the Four discovered a photograph of Tony Stark on the wall of a different debrief room alongside the founding Avengers. Who bore a striking resemblance, well actually he was identical, to Dr. Victor von Doom. The man they were after.
There was screaming. Accusations thrown at each other. Of course suspicion and confusion from the Four. Up until that point the Avengers only saw Doom with his cloak and mask from the footage, and the Four hadn’t described his appearance. And while the Avengers mentioned Tony Stark, they didn’t show any pictures.
It calmed when Strange had to remind them about the existence of variants. He met Reed’s when traveling to Earth-838. Peter Parker met two of his. It was completely possible that their Victor von Doom was a variant of their Tony Stark. Were they the same man? Not really when one thinks about it. But they shared a face. The Reed Richards Strange met looked nothing like the one standing in front of him. While in Earth-838, Strange met a young lady who worked with Christine, that world’s version of the Ice Princess, who was not Y/n. Peggy Carter was their Captain America!
Oh, and there was the big detail in the fact that Tony Stark was dead.
When the commotion settled and the two groups lost their steam, Johnny noted the deflated appearance of the Avengers. All falling quiet with unreadable expressions. Peter excused himself, “I-I don’t feel good. I’m gonna go lay down,” but the blonde saw the way his lip trembled and eyes watered. Rushing out of the debriefing room on a mission to get away from everyone before he burst into tears. A feeling of guilt suddenly consumed Johnny, glancing at his friends who shared the same concern.
Banner was quiet, as was Strange. The others, who didn’t know Tony personally, shuffled on their feet and quietly excused themselves as well. Sam had his back to everyone, a distant look in his eyes as he gazed down at the bullpen below.
And then there was Y/n. Sitting in silence with her hands clenching the arms of her chair, white knuckled and jaw so tight he swore he saw a vein protruding. Her breathing was shallow, eyes staring blankly at the wall.
Johnny felt unease, unsure of what to do. Should he say something? Should they leave the room? Nothing felt right at that moment. It didn’t take a genius to figure out that this new revelation changed everything. This was no longer just containing a multiversal threat, this was personal so to say.
He was spared the ordeal when Sam finally spoke, only to be interrupted by Y/n, “You know you don’t have to--.”
“Do not finish that sentence, Sam.”
He turned away from the window to look at her, tone serious, “I’m trying to look out for you, Kid.”
“What’d I tell you about calling me that?”
“And Peter,” Sam continues, not letting up, “No one will fault you two for wanting to pull out of this.”
She scoffs, offended by the insinuation as she stands from her chair. The atmosphere in the room heated up again, and Johnny tensed, watching the woman step forward so she was nearly chest to chest with Sam. “There is a multiversal madman out there and you’re suggesting I stay grounded?” She couldn’t believe what she was hearing, “What the fuck, Sam?”
“This is different, Y/n,” his voice was steady, willing her to understand. He wanted the best for his team. And their situation was unlike anything they’d ever dealt with. “You have to realize that. This Doom is--.”
“Not him, Sam! Y/n threw her hands up, yelling as the anger she had tried to contain began to unleash, “I’m not fucking stupid! For Christ’s sake, I know that’s not Tony and I’m not going to compromise this team because the man we’re up against has the same face as him!”
“Y/n--,” Strange attempted to intervene but she shot him a look and he immediately backed down.
“If you think Peter and I should back out, then so should Banner,” she pointed to the man who had yet to say something since the news of Tony’s variant was revealed. “Him and Tony founded this team. And let’s not forget your history with the damn Accords. Should I go call Rhodey and see what he thinks?”
‘Accords? Rhodey?’ Johnny thought to himself, not familiar with the term as he thought back to the lessons on the Avengers. They must’ve omitted that detail, assuming it was a rather dark part of their history. A confirmation he got from the reactions of Banner and Strange, who’s expressions were complete shock and appalled.
Sam’s demeanor shifted to that of hurt and exasperation, her words hitting him like a bullet from a gun. “That was low, even for you.” Yeah, whatever it was they were references, the Four gathered it wasn’t good.
Y/n stepped back as though he struck her, a flash of regret in her eyes but she kept her head up, willing herself not to break. “I’m an Avenger. I took an oath, the same as you, and made a promise to Tony that I’ll do whatever it takes to protect this planet against any and all danger. I will not break that promise, and nothing you say or do will stop me.” Y/n backs away, moving toward the door, “I’ll see you on the quinjet tomorrow, Cap.”
An eerie silence remained as the door slammed shut behind Y/n. Nobody moved. Nobody made a sound. The air was thick, and full of tension. The Four glancing at each other with uncertainty.
“Wings up at eight,” Sam announced, voice strong with authority as though the last five minutes never occurred. Or didn’t bother him, though Johnny noted the pinched look of his brows.
The Captain then departed the room, Strange and Banner following out with a nod to the Four. Left to their own devices, the Four spent the next hour in the debrief room watching footage of the Avengers. Particularly ones with Tony Stark, the Iron Man, and the several catastrophic missions he dealt with alongside the Avengers. Provided with the mountain of videos from news channels and social media of people who experienced it first hand.
New York 2012. Ultron 2015. The Superhero Civil War of 2016. That’s where they learned of the Accords Y/n referenced and how she and Sam were involved. The two on opposite sides of the scale as Y/n pledged allegiance to Tony while Sam supported former Captain America, Steve Rogers. Witnesses flying a private plane around the airport captured the fight between the two teams.
Johnny watched with a frown as Y/n battled against her colleagues and friends. He could tell she was holding back on using her power to the highest degree, not really wanting to hurt them, but enough to send a message. For example, when Steve and Bucky attempted to flee to the hangar, Y/n created a layer of ice on the pavement, causing them to tumble and fall. Then she made a wall of ice to contain Scott Lang in his giant form. But that was a failure, as the wall wasn’t thick enough allowing Scott to break free, sending chunks of ice toward the ground, knocking the hero unconscious when one collided with her head, blood spilling from her temple. To prevent her from being crushed, Tony flew in a record speed to gather in his arms and rush her to safety.
Later that night when Johnny was wandering the building, he found Y/n on the balcony overlooking the main grounds. A hue of orange and pink painting the sky as the sun set on the horizon. The dark blue of nightfall taking over lurking in the background. She was out of her suit, dressed in casual clothes consisting of a hoodie and sweats. A faint expression on her visage as she stared out in the distance.
Gathering courage, Johnny took a deep breath before gently sliding back the door, the cool breeze hitting him in the face as he closed it behind him and approached the woman. Her head tilted slightly, acknowledging that she heard him, but made no move to address.
They stayed like that for a minute. In silence, basking in the peace they were afforded before the impending danger they were to face.
“I’m sorry you all had to witness that,” Y/n eventually spoke, tone neutral as her expression. “That was unprofessional of me.”
Johnny shook his head with a shrug, “You don’t have to apologize. I can’t imagine what you and your friends are feeling. And I’m sorry we jumped to conclusions--accusing you guys of--.”
“Considering what you told us of Victor von Doom,” She sent a pointed look, her voice one of understanding, “you had every right to be cautious. Plus,” she sighs, gaze flickered down to the railing, “you four are still new to the Multiverse. We’ve known about it for five years, and I remember that feeling of confusion and uncertainty. America told us all about her experiences traveling through various realities.” Y/n’s frown deepened, shuffling on her feet with unease. “In one world, she met a version of me that hated the Avengers--and tried to destroy them.” Her body shudders, and not from the wind, “That stuck me for a while. I couldn’t imagine a world where I was the enemy. Whose goal was to hurt the people I cared about. Steve, Nat, Tony.”
Johnny nodded, leaning his elbows on the railing as he pictured it. Surely there were versions of himself out there in the multiverse. He wondered what they were like. Did they have the same power? Did they get to live a normal life like he once thought he would? Was he a hero? Or was there a version of Johnny who went against all he stood for?
He too, refused to imagine a scenario where he’d want to harm his sister and friends. It saddened him to even think about such a thing. And the way Y/n said Tony’s name, showed him she felt the same.
“Was he your father?” the question left his lips before he could stop it. Immediately regretting upon the distant look that encompassed her visage along with the glossiness of her eyes.
“He was the closest thing I had to one after my own died,” Y/n bit her lip, scoffing lightly, “actually even when mine was alive. Met the man when I was five--my father invested in Stark Industries and the two were good friends. I have fond memories of going to Stark Tower and watching Tony’s expos.” A small smile appeared, but it soon turned to a frown. “My parents profited off the sciences and technology, but didn’t really care to understand it.” There was a bitter taste in her mouth as she spoke, and Y/n was a bit surprised she was being so open with Johnny. A rare feeling, for she was hardly this vulnerable about her past with her teammates. And she’d known them for decades almost.
“I was always smart growing up but they never acknowledged or praised me for it. Told me college wasn’t necessary since we were wealthy and what good would higher education be when we were well set. Mind you,” she shoots a glance at Johnny, who was watching her intently. “My father went to business school in Chicago and my mother was a journalist before they got married.”
“The pot calling the kettle black,” he muses, tone laced with disappointment on her behalf.
“Exactly,” she sighed, shaking her head as she looked back toward the city. “My father laughed when I told them I wanted to pursue physics at MIT. Told me if I was going to go to college then I should do business where the money was at--as if I needed more fucking money,” Johnny heard the frustration and sadness in her voice, picturing a young Y/n with dreams who just wanted the support of her parents and was denied. Thinking about it made his heart strain.
“Anyways, Tony was the one who helped me get to MIT. It was my freshman year he got kidnapped and became Iron Man. Barely saw him after that because his partnership with my dad ended.” Fiddling with her rings, Y/n closes her eyes briefly while taking a breath, then shrugs nonchalantly, “My folks were among the casualties in New York, my accident happened not long after….” she straightens up with a sniff, “Tony Stark helped me find purpose. Told me there were greater things for me--and my powers could be a tool to help people. He took me under his wing when the government advised him not to. I owe everything to him.” Turning to lock their eyes, Y/n’s gaze is filled with determination.
“As he died I promised him to continue his legacy. I intend to keep it, until my last breath.”
Defeating Doom proved itself to be the most defining moment for the Avengers and Fantastic Four. Lasting months on end, for each time Doom was in their grasps he managed to get two steps ahead of them. Thankfully the integrity of space, time, and reality didn’t seem to disintegrate with the Four in Earth-616. Something the geniuses of the team were concerned about.
When it was finally over, Doom neutralized and the multiverse saved, the Avengers and the Four--bloodied, bruised, and covered in grime, dragged themselves to a nearby shawarma joint to pig out. Beer flowed, music sounded from the jukebox beside the round table they took claim to.
And after months of tip-toeing around feelings, Johnny and Y/n finally said ‘fuck it,’ falling into step together as a unit they both craved. The Ice Princess seated firmly in his lap with her head tucked under his chin, eyes fluttering closed as the exhaustion kicked in.
For Johnny, he’d been crushing on the woman since he first laid eyes on her. Keeping his affections hidden as he knew deep down it would be unwise to pursue anything with someone who 1) was from another world; and 2) he needed to focus on the task at hand.
The same went for Y/n, who realized her fondness for the blonde about a month after he arrived. She’d be lying if she didn’t find him attractive during that first meeting. Anyone with eyes would agree. But she knew better than to be involved with him given their predicament.
Yet, by a power greater than universe, the man of fire melted her frozen heart. He wasn’t put off by her cool attitude, unlike most people when they first meet Y/n. Yeah he got under her skin with his boyish charm and flirtations, but he never crossed any lines. Always respectful. Always mindful.
Neither were sure when things changed between them. Maybe it was when Y/n pushed him out of the way of a line of fire from a Doombot causing her to take three bullets to her back and nearly bleed out right there in the middle of the street. Or when Johnny spent a week in a coma for exposing himself to a deadly dose of radiation to prevent Y/n from doing so. Whatever it was, the two could no longer beat around the bush. And the night before the final battle against Doom, they confessed their feelings on the balcony overlooking Avengers campus. Sealing their promise to stay alive with a kiss.
“You sleepy, darling?” Johnny murmured against her hair after finishing a conversation with Shang-Chi. Tightening his arms around the woman when she nuzzled his chest before laying a sweet kiss to her forehead.
“Just resting my eyes.” His finger brushed her cheekbone, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear, making Y/n sigh in content.
“Rest,” he told her, not buying it at all, and by the tone of his voice she knew he was smiling. “I’ll wake you when we’re ready to leave.” All he received was a hum, the man beaming as he carded his fingers through her hair. And when Johnny lifted his gaze he met his sister’s, who’s expression was full of fondness, shooting him a wink as she gestured toward the sleeping Avenger in his lap.
‘Told you so,’ Sue mouthed, grinning at his pink tinted cheeks.
‘Shut up,’ he mouthed back, though he returned the smile.
In the days following their victory, one question remained: Will the Fantastic Four return home? America was their ticket out. All she had to do was open a portal. It may take time, but eventually she’d shuffle through enough realities until she found theirs. Luckily in the months they’d been away, the fabric of reality remained intact.
In all honesty, that fact alone is what made them contemplate leaving.
The Fantastic Four didn’t belong in Earth-616 having landed there by mistake, but it had been almost a year. Integrating themselves into the Avengers and developing bonds. Besides the romantic feelings between Johnny and Y/n, the remaining Fantastic Four were not sure if they wanted to leave. Reed and Ben enjoyed working with Banner and Strange. Sue longed for female companionship, and found that with Y/n and the other women of the Avengers. And Johnny connected with the guys. They all became friends.
They became a team.
And since they weren’t leaving anyone behind in their world, what harm was there by staying? The Avengers could use more allies. And who knows another high level threat would appear. Threatening the existence of the universe. They needed a strong team, and defeating Doom proved they were one.
Yeah, it was a no brainer.
Now here they were two years later. The Ice Princess and Human Torch cuddled in their bed, in their apartment in Avengers campus, on their day off where they could enjoy the peace as no new threats had emerged in the last two months.
Johnny groaned when Y/n pulled away from the kiss, moving to sit up so she was straddling his hips. The comforter falling behind her as she fought against his firm grip when he attempted to pull her back down.
“Sorry, hotshot, no sleeping in for me today. I have to get ready.”
He tilted his head, partly confused, partly offended, “For what?”
“I promised your sister I’d have breakfast with her.”
“But it’s Sunday,” He sat up, hands gripping her waist as he moved to press kisses on her neck. “We don’t do anything on Sundays. Except sleep….” he trailed off, pulling away to give her a cheeky smile, “and give each other some lovin’.”
Y/n chuckled, tilting her head back as his plush lips captured her chin, trailing down her jaw until he found the place behind her ear. “Baby, I’ll give you all the loving this afternoon until the sun sets and the moon rises,” she feels him shudder against her, smirking in satisfaction. “But I’m a woman of my word.”
Lifting herself off him, she leaned over to her side of the bed to grab her rings off the nightstand. Returning to his lap as she placed them on her fingers. Her college ring on her right hand, and the beautiful Cartier stack consisting of her engagement and wedding rings. Once all were placed on her finger, Johnny lifted her hand to press a kiss to her knuckles just below. His own wedding band shining against the sunlight peeking through the curtains.
“Don’t keep me waiting too long now,” Johnny flirted, chocolate eyes sparkling while pressing her hand to his chest where his heart laid. Heat radiated off his body. “I might come looking for ya.” The words earned him a playful glare.
“Behave,” she scolded without any bite. “Or I’ll punish you.”
“I want you too,” Johnny challenged, winding his arm around her waist to hold her closer.
All she did was shake her head, laughing at his behavior while he continued his assault on her neck, allowing him a few extra kisses before she really had to get up. “You are something else, Johnny Storm.”
“And you love meeeee.”
“I do,” she breathed out, tilting her head down to meet his lips halfway, hand cupping his jaw. He sighed in victory, chasing her mouth each time she pulled away, causing her to giggle. “Johnny! The sooner you let me leave, the sooner you get to have me all to yourself.”
He groaned again, loosening his hold but not completely letting Y/n go. “Fine,” he mumbled, pouting, but smiled when she kissed his cheek. “Bring me back a coffee, please?”
“Of course, my love.”
With that he reluctantly let go of her waist, allowing his wife to get up from the bed. But before she could make her way to the bathroom, Johnny caught her hand, making her turn back to him with a raised brow.
“Some say the world will end in fire.” He begins to recite the famous poem by Robert Frost. What started as a joke between the two because of their abilities, transformed into something far more intimate. The poem itself was about human emotions, and their power to lead to self-destruction. Fire was fast, Ice was slow. Together they were each other's strength and weakness. And despite being complete opposites, they both played a role in dismantling humanity.
But for Johnny and Y/n, they managed to do the impossible. They bridged the gap between fire and ice.
Y/n smiles affectionately, lifting her free hand to the back of his neck to scratch at the nape of his hairline. “Some say in ice.”
“From what I’ve tasted of desire, I hold with those who favor fire.”
“But if it had to perish twice, I think I know enough of hate, to say that for destruction ice.”
“Is also great,” They both recite, leaning in to capture each other's lips as they whisper the final line of the poem.
“And would suffice.”

Beg You to Love Me
"I'm surprised you even remembered, Harrington," Eddie shrugs, hoping he comes off as aloof as he wants to, instead of shaky and unsure like he feels. He was sitting atop the picnic table, arms behind him trying to look as unaffected by Steve's presence as he can, but he's been thrown for a loop ever since Steve emerged from the woods instead of Robin Buckley, like he was expecting.
"Of course, I remember. I- I've never forgotten," Steve whispers, head down and fists clenched at his sides. He looks more like a child being wrongfully scolded than a man defending himself.
The words pull a scoff from Eddie, though. Never forgotten? What the fuck ever. "Right. Something to hold over me, then, if I'd stepped too far out of line? Mutually assured destruction?"
Steve's head snaps up and he looks horrified, which Eddie will admit to almost believing. Steve doesn't seem like the type to join the drama club but his acting's pretty fucking good. "What? No! I would have never- I would never have said anything about us to anyone."
"Right. Sure. Of course. Your own reputation to think about there."
Something like hurt flashes across Steve's face before it frosts over. This is the face he's used to see on Steve. Cold and distant. "I- whatever, man. I don't even know why I thought..." but Steve doesn't finish his sentence. He just shakes his head and turns his back on Eddie, heading back the way he came.
He doesn't know why that sparks a rage from deep within him. "Yeah, that's right. Tuck tail and runaway again!"
"I ran away?" Steve shouts back, turning sharply on his heel to glare at Eddie. "You think that I ran away?"
Eddie just spreads his hands to the empty clearing as if to say 'look at all this room around me you've never occupied'. "You weren't here, were you?"
"Because you told me to not be!" Steve stomps back to Eddie but stops a couple yards away.
"Like fuck I did," Eddie argues back, because he didn't tell Steve to go away. He'd told him-
"'If this isn't good enough for you, there's the fucking door.' That's what you told me," Steve quotes, "I thought it was pretty fucking clear what you wanted."
"Yeah, I fucking thought it was clear what I wanted," Eddie snarls, lunging from the picnic table, closing those last few feet to get into Steve's face. "Yet here we are!"
"Don't act like this is my fucking fault. Like you weren't the one who forced it to be my fault. My decision-"
"Yeah, it had to be your damn decision! You were dragging it out-"
"-because you were too much of a coward to do it your-fucking-self-"
"-acting like you were. Acting too good to actually slum it with the trailer trash-"
"-so of course I made the choice that was best for me. Because I deserved more-"
"-like what I had to offer you would never be good enough for the goddman King-"
"-than just being your hookup when I wanted to be-"
"-like I wasn't good enough to be your friend, much less-"
"-your fucking boyfriend!"
"-your fucking boyfriend!"
The contrast of this sudden silence that falls following their screaming match that ends with identical sentiments is jarring. Eddie feels wrong-footed and lost. Confusion and hurt mixing in him that he can see reflected on Steve's face.
"What?" Steve is the first to break the silence, drawing into himself. Arms crossing to hold himself at the elbows as he takes several steps back, as if to be able to see all of Eddie will clear the confusion he's feeling.
Eddie just stares back, slack jawed for a moment. That's. What. No, wait. Really, what? "What what?"
"You- you said 'if this isn't good enough for you, there's the fucking door'. How was I- I thought you- you were breaking up with me!" Steve cries, "you. You said that to make me pick, because you knew I wanted more and you didn't. That's- you were breaking up with me!"
Eddie's in just as much disbelief. "No, you broke up with me! I said if this isn't good enough but, like, I meant if I wasn't good enough. And you left! You walked out because I wasn't good enough to be with you!"
Steve looks stricken and he claws harder at himself, sort of folds into himself like he's going to be sick. "No. No no no, that's- then that means I- it's all been my fault. No no no no."
Eddie stares wide-eyed and frozen as Steve talks to himself. Eddie kind of feels nauseous. There's no way that this is possible. That these last two and a half years of heartbreak have been because of miscommunication. That they both thought the other was breaking up with them and neither actually wanted to.
"Why didn't you- Why didn't you say something?" Eddie asks.
Steve laughs at that, sounding a bit hysteric. "Me!? Why didn't you! I wasn't- I wasn't going to beg you to love me like I had with my parents. You were the one who told me I shouldn't have to do that!"
Yeah. He had. When Steve had broken down and cried on his bed, in his arms, wondering what it was he had done to lose his parents' love. Eddie told him it wasn't his fault, never would be, and that he would never need to beg for love from someone who does love him. It was the same advice Wayne had given him when he'd taken Eddie in.
"I already thought you were wanting to break up. You were being so distant, I thought..."
Steve sucks in a deep breath and nods, "Yeah. Yeah I was. I was scared of scaring you away. Of being too much. Because I- what I felt for you was a lot. I was afraid I'd chase you away if I continued to be so clingy. I pulled back, to reign it in but. Fuck. Fuck!"
Eddie drops to a squat. His legs feel like jelly and he can't keep standing. He squats and looks down so his hair becomes a curtain separating him from the reality of the situation, if only for a moment. Fuck is right.
He's spent his junior and first senior year being pissed at Steve. Hurt by him and what he thought happened. And it's- if Steve's being honest, it's all been for nothing. If they both wanted a deeper relationship, they could have had it. They might still be boyfriends if Eddie hadn't been so wrapped up in his Munson Doctrine. He'd been convincing himself Steve was embarrassed of him, and was working on breaking off their- whatever they were. But he hadn't been.
He's thought such terrible things about Steve over the years. God, what has Steve thought of him over the years? No. He doesn't want to know, actually. That's not what he cares about right now.
He lifts his head to see that Steve's plopped himself onto the ground, sitting cross legged, elbows on his knees and head in his hands.
"Steve. Steve!" He calls Steve's name out until he looks up, looks at him, "why'd you come out here?"
He laughs again, slightly less hysterically, and he's shaking his head like he can't believe what he's about to say. "I. Fuck, I was coming out here to beg you to love me."
"No you fucking weren't!" his tone is filled with disbelief.
"I was," Steve repeats, sounding amused and heartbroken at the same time. "I really, really was. Graduation's coming and I know you want to get out of Hawkins the second that happens and I'm. I was running out of time trying to get you to notice me again, so I was going to beg."
Notice him again? As if Steve doesn't haunt his every waking thought. As if he doesn't dream of Steve every night while his eyes seek him across the halls and in their few shared classes like he's the goddamn night sky and Eddie is a sailor lost at sea needing the north star to guide him home. Eddie's never not noticed him, and he thinks he has to come out here and beg? "When someone loves you, you don't have to beg."
"Yeah, I know," Steve sighs, defeated, which lets Eddie know that Steve does not, in fact, know. He looks away from Eddie, down to his lap.
Fuck, it's like every fantasy Eddie's had of them making up and then making out has been handed to him on a silver platter and he's blowing it. His words are too vague, too easily misinterpreted. Again. He falls forward on to his knees, hands catching him so he's on all fours like an animal. "Steve. I mean it. You don't have to beg."
"I get it, Eddie," Steve huffs, not looking at him. Not actually understanding.
Eddie starts to crawl the distance between them. Steve looks up then, probably to see what the fuck Eddie was doing with the shuffling sounds and the chain on his belt clacking. Eddie watches Steve's eyes go wide, mouth dropping open to a small 'o'. "See, the thing is, Steve," Eddie says, pulling himself up to be just on his knees to shuffle the last few inches closer. Steve leans back to keep his eyes on Eddie's face, which opens his lap up. "You said you know, but I don't think you do." Eddie brings his hands to rest on Steve's shoulders and Steve lets him. "You don't have to beg." He uses his hold on Steve's shoulders to balance himself as he swings a leg wide, to straddle Steve, then shifts his weight to repeat the process with his other leg before settling himself into Steve's lap. Steve's hands land on his hips and Eddie isn't sure if it's intentional or a reaction to Eddie plopping himself in his laps but he's going to believe it's the first one. "You've never had to beg with me."
Steve sucks in a sharp breath and then he collapses into Eddie. Steve's hands on his hips slide up and pull him into a hug, as close to Steve's body as he can get, while Steve shoves his head under Eddie's chin, into the junction of his neck and shoulder and breaths him in like it's the last breath Steve will ever take. "We're so stupid."
"Yeah," Eddie agrees, as he lifts one hand to hold the back of Steve's head while the other drops to rub soothingly at his back. "Yeah, we are."
They sit in the dirt, the closest they've been since that summer between '81 and '82. They should probably talk about. They're going to have to, if they want this to work. Full sentences with no hidden meanings, even though the thought of that kind of vulnerability makes Eddie skittish. It's going to be difficult, but it'll be worth it. Steve has always been worth it.
Eddie wants to say 'I love you', just to get it out, in the open, and not just implied, but there's a different first step to take. One that's actually a little easier. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."
"Me too," Steve whispers, "I'm sorry. I should have-"
"Shut up," Eddie cuts him off, voice quiet and soft as he can be. "This is, and I cannot stress it enough, a we situation."
The huff of laughter on his skin from Steve feels like the start of something. A new beginning, a start over. A re-do.
A goddamn miracle.
Later, they'll drag themselves apart and up. Make it to the back of Eddie's van in the school parking lot to talk. Going to either's house feel too much, too soon. Their big fight happened at Eddie's home, and Steve's house isn't warm enough for the kind of comfort they want to share.
They'll have a talk. Filled with long pauses, stumbling over words and fears and insecurities because this is the hard part of a relationship. Getting it all out in the open so they can learn if they'll even work. The fear that they aren't going to be compatible anymore looms but doesn't deter. They both want a second chance, to give it a real shot, by the end of that first talk. But taking it slow.
They'll discuss what went wrong the first time (diving in without talking about anything certainly played a big part) and how to avoid that.
But that's later. Right now, Eddie just holds Steve, and Steve holds him back, and it certainly feels like the beginning of something good.

“I’m willing to bet you’d make some pretty little noises.” — Austin Butler x reader
Tumblr media
Summary: You and austin are co starring in a movie which you’re currently in the process of filming for. After a particularly long day, he walks back to the hotel with you. You confide in him, explaining that you’re nervous about the sex scenes you have to film. You invited him to have a drink with you before he headed back to his own room, and one thing lead to another. Needless to say, filming a sex scene will no longer be the most intimate you and Austin have ever gotten.
Pairing: Austin Butler x fem!reader
Word count: 1,600
Warnings: SMUT, 18+, mature language, she/her pronouns, unprotected sex, p in v, oral (f & m receiving)
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
“Hey.” Austin greeted you as he pushed open the door to your trailer, letting in some of the cool night air. It was late, it had been a long day shooting and you and him having leading roles meant you had the most screen time, and consequently the most hours on set.
“Hey.” You replied, sighing.
“Just came to ask if you wanted to head back to the hotel together? I don’t feel right letting you walk back alone this late.” He spoke as he sat down in your hair and makeup chair, as you were doing up your shoes.
“I’d really appreciate that. I have an unopened bottle of wine there, if you’d like to have a drink with me.”
“Of course.”
He fiddled around with all the things scattered over the surfaces, opening and closing a compact as he waited for you to get your coat on.
The pair of you left your trailer and began your way back to the hotel that most the cast and crew were staying at, which was barely a 10 minute walk from your shooting location. You could’ve had a car pick you up if you really wanted, but it seemed sort of pointless, especially now that he’d offered to walk with you.
You accidentally let a heavy sigh slip from your mouth, lost in thought.
“What’s up?” He asked.
Damn, didn’t mean for that to be out loud.
You decided to fess up to him. “I’m nervous for tomorrow.” You sighed again, looking up at him.
Tomorrow was day one of two, of shooting the few intimate scenes your character and his shared. The thought of having to pretend to— it was just slightly humiliating to think about. Austin smiled a little, placing a hand on your hip momentarily to guide you towards the lobby of the hotel.
“It won’t be any different to rehearsal,” he chuckled, “and we can have a closed set.”
“It will be different, there aren’t cameras in rehearsal,” you argued.
“You do know we’re not actually going to have sex?” Austin teased as you headed to the elevator.
“Obviously!” You gave him a playful shove, “it’s just embarrassing. I don’t wanna make those weird faces and noises.”
He laughed as he pressed the button numbered ‘14’ after you stepped inside. “What weird faces and noises?”
“I’m not doing them in front of you.” You protested.
“Why not? You’re gonna have to tomorrow.”
“So will you.” A wry smile tugged at your lips as you exchanged glances.
“I know, I’m not embarrassed,” he took the keycard out of your hand, scanning it at opening the door for you.
“Besides,” he paused, “I’m willing to bet you’d make some pretty little noises.” His demeanour changed as he dropped the keycard down on the table, looking over at you, sitting on the end of the bed.
You looked up at him, “how much?”
Your heart pounding in your chest as he knelt before you. He extended his arms out, undoing of the buckles on your heels, gently sliding them off your feet.
Austin's smile widened, a mischievous glint in his eyes. “Enough to make it worth your while.”
He stared at you for a moment longer, trying to read your expression.
The room was bathed in a soft, warm glow, the muted hum of the air conditioning providing a soothing backdrop. Austin stood up and moved towards the kitchenette. He reached for the bottle of wine sitting on the counter, the one you mentioned earlier, pouring two glasses.
He handed you a glass, his fingers brushing against yours, sending a jolt of electricity through your body. You took a sip, the rich, velvety taste of Cabernet washing over your tongue, before setting the glass down on the table.
Austin moved closer, his eyes locked onto yours, a silent question in his gaze. You nodded, your heart pounding in your chest as he closed the distance between you. His arms wrapped around your waist, pulling you close, the heat of his body radiating through your clothes.
His lips met yours, soft and tender, a gentle kiss that helped your body relax, the tension of the day releasing as your lips parted to make room for his.
Austin's hands roamed your body, exploring every curve and contour, as if committing you to memory. You ran your fingers through his hair, his soft strands falling through your fingertips like silk.
He pulled back, his eyes dark with desire. “Are you sure about this?” he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
You nodded, your heart pounding in your chest. “Yes,” you whispered, your voice barely audible.
Austin's lips curled into a soft smirk, a mischievous glint in his eyes. “Then let's take our time.”
He picked up both glasses, handing you yours. After sharing a couple more drinks, he scooped you up in his arms, carrying you towards the bed, the weight of your bodies sending the mattress sinking beneath you. He laid you down gently, his eyes never leaving yours, before joining you, his body pressing against yours, as you both relished in heat and want.
As the night went on, your bodies grew clumsy, your movements slow and deliberate. Austin's lips met yours again, his kiss deep and passionate.
Austin pulled you into his lap, his hands settling on your hips as he ground against you, still fully clothed, apart from his shirt which you encouraged him to take off earlier. You let out a soft moan, your body responding to his touch without a second thought. Austin's breath hitched as he felt your body move against his, his hips rolling up into yours.
“I'm not gonna last very long,” he whispered, his voice strained with desire.
You tugged on his pants, urging him to stand up. Austin obliged, guiding you to your feet as he did the same. You watched as he freed himself from his pants, his cock slapping against his stomach as he did so. His body was perfect. It was exactly as you imagined.
Without hesitation, you undressed yourself, shedding your clothes until you were standing before him, bare. Austin's eyes widened at the sight, his breath hitching as he took in every inch of your exposed skin.
He laid you down on the bed, settling over you as he brushed his lips against yours. “We can stop at any time, remember?” he mumbled, his voice soft and gentle.
You nodded, your hands reaching up to tangle in his hair. “I know, Austin,” you murmured, your lips meeting his in a soft kiss.
Austin slowly inserted himself inside of you, your body tensing as you adjusted to him. He waited, his lips brushing against your cheek as he held still, giving you time to become comfortable with him inside of you. Once you were ready, he began to move, his hips rolling against yours as he thrust into you. His cheek brushed against yours, each other’s skin feeling hot to the touch. Each of his thrusts came with a soft, yet masculine moan.
“Where do you want me to cum?” Austin asked, his voice strained with pleasure.
You looked up at him, your eyes meeting his. “My mouth,” you whispered, your lips brushing against his.
Austin nodded, pulling out of you with a soft moan. He settled onto his knees, his cock in his hand as he stroked himself. You knelt before him, your lips wrapping around the head of his cock as you took him into your mouth.
As you sucked on him, his lips released a strung-out groan, and Austin came undone, his body shaking as he spilled himself into your mouth. To his surprise, you swallowed it all, your eyes meeting his as you did so. He chuckled a little at you, he wouldn’t have expected that from you.
You smiled, settling onto your back. Austin looked down at you, his eyes filled with desire. "Do you want to sit on my face?" he asked, his voice filled with need.
You nodded, your body trembling with anticipation. He laid down, propping a pillow up underneath his head. Without hesitation, you straddled his face, he rested his hands on your thighs, your pussy hovering over his mouth. Austin's tongue darted out, licking at your clit as you moaned with pleasure.
You gripped the headboard, your body shaking as Austin held your hips, his tongue exploring every inch of your pussy. You ground against his face, seeking out the release that you knew was coming.
As Austin licked and sucked at your clit, his fingers exploring your pussy, you felt your body trembling with pleasure. You closed your eyes, your head thrown back as you rode his face, your body moving in time with his tongue, moans and profanity falling from your lips.
With a loud cry, you came undone, your body shaking as Austin held you against him, his tongue lapping at your juices as they flowed over his lips and chin.
As you caught your breath, you looked down at Austin, your eyes meeting his. "Shit, you taste amazing," he whispered, his lips brushing against your pussy. He helped you off of him. He brushed his thumb over your cheeks and your chest, both of which were bright red and hot to the touch with sex flush.
“You’re beautiful,” he mumbled, taking in the sight of you in your post-orgasmic state.
"Will you stay with me tonight?" you asked, your voice soft and gentle.
Austin smiled, his arms wrapping around your waist as he settled beside you. "Of course, I will," he whispered, his lips brushing against your forehead.
“By the way,” he spoke, “I was right.”
You buried your face into the crook of his neck, shyly.

Drabble Roulette: Bonfire
Hey hey! This weekend I’m doing more drabble roulette. I’m still recovering and I’m feel a bit blah and foggy.
I randomised a list of characters, then I spin a wheel and write for the character beside the number. Then I spin the wheel to choose a prompt from a list.
Character: Captain Syverson
Warnings: this drabble includes insinutations of noncon, age gap, alcoholism, and allusions to abuse.. Please mind these warnings and take care.
Prompt: Him finding your "escape" bag and burning it in front of you.(source)
Explicit, 18+. Please reblog and leave some feedback.
Tumblr media
You sit up as the front door closes. You scramble to shut off the TV and grab your plate off the coffee table. Shoot.
Your husband stalks in as you flit into the kitchen. “Babe,” he calls after you.
“Just tidying up,” you holler back.
It’s not a lie. You were going to start right after a nap. Eventually.
It’s not like you hadn’t done anything. You gathered up all his empties and put them by the sink. You put the plate to the side and focus on rinsing out the brown bottles. His shadow appears in your peripheral, filling the doorway.
“You’re early,” you say.
“Am I crashing the party?” He crosses his arms as he leans on the frame.
“No,” your voice piques. “Not at all. I just wasn’t expecting you.” You shrug. “I would’ve started dinner by now.”
“Nah, don’t do all that,” he says. “I’m early ‘cause I got a surprise for ya.”
“A surprise?” You peek at him cautiously.
“Sure do,” he winks and his lips curl to a grin.
You gulp. Something’s off. Last night he was ranting about the dishes until you got them all clean and stacked away; now he’s not even batting an eye at the overflowing garbage bin and your basket of clothes still waiting to go to the laundromat.
“Oh, um, okay.” You shut off the sink and put the bottle in line with the rest. You look at him expectantly.
“Go get dressed.”
“Are we... going somewhere?”
“It’s a surprise,” he puts his finger over his lips.
“Right,” you nod and turn away.
“Doll yourself up a bit. It’s a special occasion.”
“Okay, Sy.”
You head into the bedroom and slow as you enter. A special occasion? Did you forget something? No, he’s the one who forgot your anniversary. And your birthday. So what could it be?
You open the dress, the drawer scraping on the frame. The damn thing is busted. You fish out a fluttery pink top and a denim skirt. Glamourous, you know.
You put them on the bed and sigh as you undress. This isn’t the married life you expected. Not the one he promised either. His drinking, his mess, his anger; all of it is yours to clean up after.
You should have listened to your mom. Too old for you. What did you know? Nineteen and googly-eyed over the vet in his pickup truck.
You shimmy into the skirt. The top is tight and squeezes on the belly you didn’t have when you got married. The top helps distract with the frills.
You dip into the bathroom and rinse your face. You wrangle in your undone hair to something decent. A touch of makeup. You stopped buying it a while ago. Couldn’t afford it. He bought beer first.
You come out into the front room. The single-floor home is barely more than a trailer on a foundation. There’s not much to it. It’s a roof and four-walls.
“What’s this surprise?” You ask.
“You look good,” he smiles. He looks the same as ever. A camo ballcap with a curled brim, a band tee and cargo shorts. His eyes are already glazed over. He was probably at the bar.
“Thanks, Sy,” you say.
“Why don’t you wear those shoes that make your legs look so nice? With the big bottoms?”
“Sure,” you go to the shoe rack. The pair of platforms are weathered. You haven’t bought a new pair since the wedding. You step into them and stand straight. You face him.
“You’re so sexy,” he charges you. You barely keep from tipping over as he grabs your hips and draws you in. Shit. Usually you turn around. It makes his drunken fumbling easier. He kisses you but stops himself from more. “Come on.”
He grabs your hand and drags you out the door. You stumble after him. He gets you into the passenger side of his truck and snaps the door shut. You flinch and buckle in. As he climbs up in the driver’s side, you get a waft of beer.
“You want me to drive?” You offer.
“Wouldn’t be a surprise if you did,” he turns the ignition.
You bite back your protests. He’s got a problem, you know it. It doesn’t make it better. Not any less his fault.
He backs out and swerves straight. You grip the sides of the seat. You brace yourself as the truck rumbles. He’s never been a patient driver.
He steers down to the country roads and you watch the fields blow by. You frown and turn straight. It’s been a while since you went out this way. Him and his pals from serving used to get together out here, drinking and shoot the shit.
He steers around the abandoned farmhouse where you fucked for the first time. It was one of those get togethers. Right up in the loft. You nearly fell through the rotting wood with how hard he went. His friends teased you after even though he promised they wouldn’t hear.
He stops and you hesitate to get out. He lurches from the driver’s seat and you open your door. He helps you down. You let him lead you forward. The sky dims little by little.
There’s a big metal vat and a picnic table. On the table, there’s a basket and a cloth covering the splintered wood. It’s almost sweet.
“Sy?”
“Last night was... a lot,” he says. Still no apology.
“It was,” you agree.
“Go on, there’s something in there for ya,” he points to the table.
You near it and open the basket. There’s a bottle of wine. Good wine. You take it out and read the label.
You look at him as he drops a match in the vat. It crackles a fire starts in the base. Slowly the flames build. You twist off the cap of the sparkling wine and take out the small paper cups inside the basket.
“Huh, not burning too well,” he mutters.
You turn to him and offer him some wine. “Want some, Sy?”
“Sure, honey,” he accepts it, knocking it back in a single swig. He crumples the cup. “You like it?”
“It’s... thoughtful, Sy,” you say. Maybe he’s ready to try. “Really--”
“You know what, I think I saw something ‘round back. Gonna get chilly soon.”
“The fire looks good,” you assure him and step closer to the can.
He ignores you and lumbers off. You chew your lip. Maybe you shouldn’t have given him the wine. You nurse the cup in your hand as you watch the tips of the flames. Something’s strange.
You hear him coming. You look up and before you can react, he drops the duffle into the vat. It smothers the fire to smoke. You gasp. The daisy charm on the zipper makes your chest plunge.
“Sy?”
“Not really smart. That crawlspace is full of mice,” he goes to the table and reaches beneath. He grabs a bottle of lighter fluid. “Things will chew up all your nice shit.”
He squirts the liquid all over. The flames below puff and burst up around your go-bag. You cringe and drop the cup of wine.
“Sy, it wasn’t-- it was only... a thought--”
“Don’t worry, I got this before the vermin did,” he reaches into his pocket and pulls out the bank envelope. It’s not much. A couple hundred scrounged here and there. He tosses it on the ground next to the spilled wine. “I’d say you were more than thinking.”
“Sy--”
He barrels towards you. You stagger back. You spin and your ankles twist before you can sprint away. That’s why he wanted you to wear those stupid shoes.
He tackles you to the ground. You cry out as his weight knocks the breath from you. You reach out desperately as his alcohol-laced breath storms around you. You squirm as pushes his knees between yours and pushes your legs wide. Your skirt rolls up your thighs as he does.
“You remember our first time?” He growls into your hair. “Why don’t we go back, honey? Why don’t you remember what you told me that night?” He nuzzles your scalp and snarls. “What was it you said? Forever?”

THE BABYSITTING TRAP (18+)
Tumblr media
Summary:  the gang made  a plan to set steve up and Y/n hopper up, did they expect it to go so well ?
Warning : smut , soft dom steve , praise kink , daddy kink , hair pulling   , spanking just steve unleashing his inner eddie to be fair . also everything nancy did and tension during season 4 we're just going to pretend it was us instead.  steve being fluffier than his hair . this is 18+ minors not welcome
As far as failed night go , he was starting to think this was possibly could be the best night of his life.  All he had to do was well  tell her how  he felt . which kinda was hard to do watching to move around her trailer wearing his t-shirt  making them popcorn  to watch a movie alone , together . the girl of his dreams , one that stood by everything , one who appreciated him .  little thing she would do told him as much  when they were hanging as group. she stop them teasing him about his failed love life , made sure eddie didn't eat his favourite snacks if he was running late , hell even having his favourite snacks there .  how she would actually listen to what he had to say during the whole upside down situation .  checking his wounds and making sure everything was healing  or cleaned properly.  how when he was pulled under water she was straight in after .. maybe shit he was idiot . the kids were right and it was right in front of him the whole time . he for once didn't think of his action , when she came over he helped her with placing the things down not before pulling her on to his lap and  cuddling her close , god her giggles made his day, a melody he could listen to on repeat he was sure of it .  " what has gotten into you harrington, not that i'm complaining  " her smile , that damned smile could make anyone's day brighter  . " something that took me way too long to do " he said proud his voice didn't squeak or waver  . " and what would that be " god he had the usually confident teasing yet kind and caring y/n nervous.  " taking that step   ,  a step we both wanted , to finally stop kidding myself and finally go after the girl i want so bad it physically hurts sometimes , making sure no one can take her away " he smiled leaning up and capturing her lips with his .  she wanted to punch herself the shit she  used to say about how ridiculous movie kissing was bullshit . she could literally eat her words with how wrong she was .  how his lips against hers felt like they were meant to be there . two puzzle pieces connect to reveal the whole picture. souls reconnecting after eternity searching for  each other , nerves coming to life , fire work the lot .
Needing air they reluctantly pulled back , both shit eating grins on there faces .  " about time harrington i was beginning to lose hope " she sighed dramatically head falling against his chest. " hey you could have said something you know " he defended finger lifting her chin to make her eyes align with his . " maybe i was scared " she bit her lip which wasn't a lie  , she'd been the same telling the group they were seeing things .  " well i was was terrified , i mean imagine losing this beautiful , kind , sweetheart , kinda an asshole sarcastic woman and one of my best friends because i told her i love her so much it drive me insane" he bared it all everything he was feeling over the years . " wait love " she sat up looking at him fully searching his eyes  making sure it wasn't some stupid prank between him and the kids or eddie .  " love like full blown burn the world down for you love " he  repeated .  what words failed , actions didn't she crashed her lips against his  hungrily showing him how much she loved him , how he made her go on when she thought she couldn't , how he gave her the strength to fight when she felt weak . steve harrington held a place in her heart  since the moment she met him , those puppy brown eyes had her locked , hook , line and sinker .  she pulled the back of his neck in a bid to get closer , while her skin burned with a need  only he could satisfy .    a quick turn of positions and she was now straddling the man she dreamed about for so long .  steve kissed back harder like she was his only source of oxygen while his hands land on her hip pulling her closer .  like it was on instinct her hips rolled making the man  under let out the sexiest almost primal moan she had ever heard . it was surreal she had steve the hair harrington moaning beneath her .   " if we gonna do this baby girl then we are going to need that bed of yours " a husk almost whisper against her ear making her whimper. steve harrington made her  give out the neediest whimper  something she wasn't aware could happen.  " take me to bed steve " she moaned feeling his strain against his jeans .
without be breaking the kiss , he lifted her effortlessly up off the chair , holding her steady as he kissed down her neck  the t-shirt he love seeing on  her was now in his way . she could feel her skin almost burn with desire pulling the shirt over her head showing  the pink lace bra hiding underneath . " i definitely died and now in heaven" he teased kissed down her chest as he hand pushed her bedroom door open and kicking it closed . laying her softly on the bed as she pulled her shorts off . " eager are we " he smirked seeing the lust blown eyes , kiss bitten lips and it was all for him .  " please steve fuck touch me , kiss me do something " she kneeled before him pulling him by his waist band .    "yeah i died and this is heaven " he growled pushing her on her back while giving her almost a bruising kiss .  licking , biting down her neck as he unclasped her bra sitting up to admire her , the dream he had were nothing in comparison to the real deal. " fuck you are so beautiful baby girl " his hand giving teasing pinches to her now hardened peaks .  " oh you like that huh baby" he grin bowing his head . at first it teasing kitten licks , before a hiss broken moan came from her lips feeling him sucking and  biting her nipples soft mouth making her core throb with a need . her panties drenched at the way he handled her in such as short space of time.  she felt a fire burn deeper when his kissing began to continue down her body .   even touch of his lips felt like her wildest dreams coming to life yet it still wasn't enough she needed more of him , all of him . " can i take these off"  he asked a false coyness lilt to his deep husky voice. " fuck yes please i need you " she whimpered . " oh baby girl daddy's gonna take care of you , be a good girl and sit back while i eat this little pussy of yours,  can you do that " fuck this was definitely a dream ." yes daddy i'll be good " .   she hissed feeling his finger sliding up and down painful slow yet not even where she wanted . " all this for me such a good girl ..mmm you taste fucking heavenly i knew you would my sweet beautiful girl " he moaned tongue swirling tasting her slick . never did he think he would have her  tasting so sweet on his tongue dancing on his taste buds it was safe to say he was already addicted. " mm fuck daddy " she cried feeling his tongue swirl around her puffy clit sending her head crashing against the pillow  the pulling his hair and her back arching at the sensation . steve harrington ate pussy like it was a five course meal and his last meal all in one . she felt her coil tighten and windup so tight she almost screamed when it snapped making his actions faster lapping up her orgasim . " fuck i'm doing that daily fucking hell baby you taste so good " he groaned wiping her juices from his face.
" now i need to be in that pussy because i near damn came in my fucking boxers like a little virgin , can i fuck you my sweet girl " he smiled down seeing her blissed out face.  she couldn't speak all her mind consisted of was him and him needing to be inside her . " too cock drunk speak  that's ok daddy will take care of you " he growled teasing his cock through her folds coating him up ,underestimating his own control but slowly he began pushing in , feeling the softness of her walls  it was like she was made for him and him  alone .  she couldn't help the pleading and begging that flew out of her mouth nor if someone told her this would happen she'd laugh in their face yet here she was doing just that  .  " FUCK" she cried as he began to thrust hitting spots in her body she never knew where there ,  her nails  scraping down his back in a bid to pull him closer anyway she could but what surprised her most was when he pinned her hands above her head , fucking her into the mattress like it was his main goal in life  turning her on more that she even thought was possible . babbles and moans filling the room along with the filthiness spewing from the  mans mouth .  " daddy fuck just like that " she cried wanting to grab him but hell even the restricted movement made it better somehow. he let go of her hands gliding them down pinching her nipples as he passed them before he began circling her clit  . " we cum together baby i can feel it  " he growled as she clenched around . " now " his thrust sloppy then she felt his cum filling her up painting ever part of her cervix as she herself clenched down milking ever part of it .  " fuck that was...." she panted . " totally happening every chance we get .. i totally agree" he joked pulling out of her. " steve you know i love you too right .. so much it drives me insane " she leaned up lasily kissing him as he pulled her to his chest .
bonus :
" i'm not going in there but it's safe to say the plan worked and dustin is traumatise " robin nodded face in pure disgust. " who knew harrington was a kinky fuck " eddie smirked . " can we please just go " dustin whispered . " come on we can get the money of steve for therapy " robin led him toward eddies van . " HARRINGTON YOU ARE MY HERO " eddie yelled in . " munson come on before henderson barfs in your van " robin hissed.

This is a direct follow up to #391

“Fuckface, I don’t care what demons your preacher dad put into your head.  The fact that you are coming to the realization that that part of your life is over.  He must have really fucked you up, cause I have never seen a twenty-year-old take a beating like that.  I shredded your back to ribbons, and all you did was say you were sorry over and over.  You almost make me feel sorry for you.  But I don’t….
“But the sad thing is I do care that I have the son of a vehement anti-gay preacher in my cab.  A son that was rock hard and leaking while I was laying my whip into you.  Did you know that?
“Yeah, while you were crying, your dick was loving every minute of it.  Let me ask you.  You want this?  You want to suck dick, take it up the ass, and get smacked around for a life?
“You are going to have to do more than nod.  Here, come back with me to my bunk.  You are going to suck on my dick a bit….  Kneel there between my legs while I lay back….  Yeah, I know you’re still sore, but oh well.  Help me get these pants off….
“Ok this is what I want you to.  I’m going to be filming you.  This will be your confessional and coming out video in one.  You are to suck my seven-and-a-half-inch fat dick, but I want you to pull off and talk to the camera from time to time.  But when you do, I want you to jerk my dick and rub it on your face continually as you talk.  You are to tell the camera that you love cock.  You can’t get enough of it in your mouth and  in your ass.  Tell the camera that you’ve been living a lie, and you denounce your previous life—a life you have no intention of returning to.  Also, tell the camera that you ran away from the first driver at the first chance you had.  He needs to be washed free from any responsibility of you.
“You got all that?  It is important that you hit every one of those points.  And when you are done sucking and talking, I’m going to lift my legs.  I want you to move down to eating my hole.  Make sure you moan.  Still stroke my cock.  I want to show the viewer how much of a pig you are.  You ready?  Look at the camera.  Go!…
“…
“…Atta boy.  That was good.  That video will definitely make a statement.  And I love that your gold cross from your necklace was able to make an appearance or two.
“You can stop slurping my shit hole now.  You’ll have plenty of time to do that later.  Help me get my legs down.  We need to get going, and I need to install you.
“Install is the right word here.  Here, put these wrist restraints on….  Yeah, you ain’t the first faggot I have bound up in here; you ain’t going to be the last either.  Normally I would just hogtie you to the bunk, but since I am bobtailing, it would be very rare that we’ll be pulled over by the DoT.
“Here’s some ankle restraints for you to put on as well.  I own this trailer outright.  I have made a few modifications for my transport of fag meat.  These heavy-duty bungee restraints are better than chain or rope.  As we roll down the highway, they will keep you in place with your legs spread and secured to the sides.
“Move aside; I need to be behind you.  This third bungee will connect your two ankles together.  All three will keep you centered with your legs apart.
“Give me your hand.  Your wrists will be attached to bungees as well.  I’ll have you standing spread eagle naked as we drive the next few hundred miles.  When I bought this tractor I made sure that there was a little extra room.  Some of these cabs can be so tiny.
“That one went on easy.  Now the other.
“…There!  How does it feel?  No, don’t bother answering.  I don’t care.
“Damn you look good, being all stretched out.  Your back and ass are nicely welted up.  The bleeding seems to have stopped.  This is so hot.  Arch your back and stick your ass out.  I need to fuck it.
“I don’t have much time.  Damn you are still loose from earlier.  Fuck.  This cunt was really made for cock.  It’s not going to take me much time.  Oh yeah.
“…Mmmmm.  Oh yeah.  This cunt is going to be used tonight.  I contacted my riding buddies.  You ever been gang banged by a bunch of gay and bi bikers?  They know how to use faggot piece of shits like you.  They know who you are and who your papa is.  They won’t care that you made those videos demonstrating your love for cock.  They’ll probably make their own videos too.
“I’m getting close boy.  Tighten up around my dick.  Fuck yeah boy.  You ready?  You ready?  Here it comes boy.  Ahh. Ahh. Ahhhhhh!!!!
“Damn faggot.  You have a righteous cunt.  Clamp down as I pull out.
“We got to get going.  I still have a few things to add.
“This is one of my creations.  It’s like an anal hook except that it’s got a butt plug on the end instead of a steel ball.  It goes in your cunt like this.  Normally faggots like you struggle, but with the amount of dick you received today, you have one giant gape.  It’s affixed to a metal rod that goes from your cunt and up your crack to the small of your back.  There this heavy chain will suspend you from the ceiling.
“There’s no bungee on this.  It should help you deal with the truck movements.  I used to have a slave mounting post with a dildo mounted on the top, but it was too cumbersome to work with in this tight space.
“This collar gets secured to the chain as well.  Nothing puts a fag slave in its right frame of mind than a collar being locked on.  Well, excluding a back full of welts and cuts.
“This necklace and its gold cross is coming off.  You don’t need it anymore….
“Shut up!  That was a statement of fact, not an invitation for an open discussion….  I don’t give a shit who gave it to you.
“…Open your mouth.  …You are the reason why God created gags.  Hold still, I just got to buckle it on.  …There!  No more talking for you.  You’ll be blindfolded, but there are other things I need to show you.
“Hold still.  I need to get in front.  Can’t much drive while standing behind you.  Oh, I should hang this from the roof as well.
“OK move aside, now.  …There!  You look good there all spread out.
“But I’m not done.  You need to be wearing my jewelry….  The first is a pair of titty clamps, and not just any titty clamps.  These have weights dangling from them.  It hurts, doesn’t it?...  Good.  Second set goes on.  Ha!  You can’t pull away.  Those bungee cords and the anal hook pull you right back in position.
“They’ll be tight, but you will still have blood flow.  Damn that looks better dangling on your chest than some gold chain with a cross.
“Oh lookie there!  With all that I am doing to you, your pecker is semi hard.  And look at those balls!  They are just hanging there.  Don’t worry.  I have something for them too.
“This is a ball collar.  It’s flat and wide.  It opens, closes, and locks in place rather easily Your sack fits in very comfortably in the half-inch space between the front and back pieces, but there is no way that either ball will be able to squeeze through.  Once it’s on, like I just locked it in place, there ain’t no way it’s coming off unless I allow it.
“Feels fine, doesn’t it?
“The other interesting feature is that it has a ring in the center of the front and a matching one in the back.  And wouldn’t you know, I have weights to attach to it.  That’s one, …and that’s the second.
“Oh look at those balls getting pulled away.  Fuck that’s hot.
“I should say that the weights on your titties and your balls are attached with a strong elastic connector.  So they are going to be bouncing around.  Every pothole I hit, every uneven part of the road, every gear shift, this cab rocks back and forth.
“We are bobtailing.  That means that there’s no trailer, no trailer to stabilize the movements of the tractor.  It’s going to be a bumpy ride, and those weights are going to be bouncing all over the place.
“You ready to get rolling?
“Oh wait.  There’s one more thing.  I need to show you this….
“…You look puzzled.  I bet you are thinking, why does a truck driver have a toilet brush?  There are no toilets in this cab…  well no porcelain ones.  I can’t speak to your talents… yet.
“And look at it.  It’s an expensive one.  Solid metal handle.  The bristles are firm.  I would hand it to you to feel, but your hands are otherwise occupied.  Trust me when I say this.  This fucker is heavy.
“Before coming to stand in front of you I hung a very elastic cord from the roof about 6 inches behind you.  This brush now hangs from it.  With every movement of this cab, it’s going to bounce and swing all around behind you.  It may even strike you, reaching anywhere from your thighs to your shoulders.  Your bloody welted back is a certainty.
“Hey!  I just had a great idea.  Let me take your necklace and wrap it around the bristles.  That way as it strikes your back, you can thank your dad and thank Jesus.
“Ok blindfold on.  My secondary dash cam is filming your struggle.  And lastly, my noise canceling headset will be on.  If I can find one of your dad’s sermons on the evils of the gays, I will blast it for you to hear.  Found one. “Let’s get rolling.  Damn, not even into third gear and the screaming have begun.”

Her hands tremble as they reach out to him. His eyes close from her gentle cup of his cheeks, though the tender sweep of her thumb across the apple of his right one has them fluttering open.
He wraps an arm around her waist at the sight of her distress, clutching her skirt in fistfuls as he pulls her closer and graces a gentle kiss to her jaw, catching the singular tear fated to drop with his lips before it can.
“I’m gonna be fine.”
His gruff voice against her skin doesn’t sound like he believes it, nor does the way he savors her beneath his mouth, kissing down the side of her neck like he knows he’ll never taste her again.
“You don’t know that,” she whispers into his temple before granting a kiss of her own to the same place.
Her shaking hands lift his jaw so he must look at her, unwaveringly, as she commands, “If you die-“
“I’m not gonna-“
“If you die,” she begins again, stronger, louder, clear in her decision. “I die.”
He knows she means it, her severe gaze promising and threatening and so unbelievably hot-
“Boy!”
Eddie blinked awake, finding his uncle shouting above him and smacking two pot lids together.
His alarm clock flashed red, 12:00 over and over again and he yelped, shooting out of bed as he shouted, “What time is it?!”
Wayne started to retreat down the hall, yelling over his shoulder, “Seven thirty!”
“Fuckfuckshit!” He scrambled out of his room, slipping on open notebooks and campaign books he fell asleep with as he went. Knocking over Old Spice and knickknacks on his dresser when he used a steadying hand against it.
“Why didn’t you wake me sooner?!” He accused his uncle as he squeezed too much toothpaste on the brush. He pushed the glob of paste back onto the bristles and shoved it into his mouth and began running the shower.
“Boy,” his uncle came into the doorway just to point a hand holding a pack of cigarettes at him, “You know damn well I go to the diner after my shift. And you’re jus’ lucky I got home when I did, Fran was real chatty this morning.”
Eddie rolled his eyes at the sink as he spit, then muttered, “Fran’s always chatty.”
Wayne leaned against the doorframe like he needed it to hold himself up. He shook his head. “You don’t have time for a shower, you’re already late.”
Eddie threw his arms out wide as if to say look at me, then actually said, “I smell like an ashtray.”
His uncle scratched at his chin, then suggested, “Quit smoking.”
Eddie pushed past him, flicking the pack of nearly empty Malboro’s in his hand as he went. “I’ll quit when you quit, old man.”
That got him a flick of his own to the back of his head and a gruff, “Don’t let the water run! We can’t afford it, especially since you’re getting fired today.”
“Har-har,” Eddie grumbled as the water turned off behind him. He jogged back into his room and scanned the contents of his floor for the clean pile.
He lifted a turquoise and black polo and sniffed it, recoiling from the garment and tossing it over his shoulder as a metal screech of the screendoor echoed down into his room.
Not the clean pile.
He quickly found a new one that didn’t smell as bad and pulled it on as he raced towards the laundry basket in the hallway in search of clean boxers and socks because he at least washes those on a semi-regular basis.
Fully dressed, he shoved his feet into his dirty sneakers and snatched the keys from the bowl by the phone, moving so fast he’s sure he’s created enough wind to actually stir up a cyclone to explain the mess he’s left behind.
His feet stamped against the rickity steps and crunched the gravel beneath them as he spun to yell back at Wayne.
“Thanks for waking me,” he nodded towards the trailer as he walked backwards to the truck, “Casserole in the fridge. And stuff for a salad.”
Wayne’s nose scrunched up at that, smoke billowing of of his mouth as he grumbled something under his breath while Eddie hopped in, rusty blue door protesting the whole way to closed.
“Salad!” Eddie pointed a finger out the open window of the truck at his uncle who waved it away before tapping at his watch. But there was a smirk of a smile on his lips wrapped around the burning cigarette.
The truck rumbled to life on the first try and he kissed the center of the steering wheel, “Good job, baby.”
Balled tires kicked up dust as he spun the wheel and whipped out of the gravel lot and onto the highway. He fumbled with the steering wheel, knee keeping her steady as he pulled a hair tie from around his wrist. He held it between his teeth as his hands worked at the mess on his head, pulling into something manageable as he sped down the two lane blacktop.
And then red and blue lights swirled to life behind him and a siren chirped out into the air once.
Eddie groaned as he spit the tie into his lap and grabbed the wheel with two hands, hair falling limp again. He guided the truck to the shoulder and turned the key. He let his head fall to rest on the steering wheel while he waited, forehead furrowing against the cracking leather.
This girl was good, but he missed his van.
Footsteps stomped towards his open window as a voice too eager to be pulling someone over greeted, “Good morning Mr. Munson! You know why I pulled you over today?”
Cause you’re a dick.
“I haven’t the slightest clue, officer.” Eddie lifted his head to look out the open window at Callahan’s smug face.
He pointed a meaty finger in Eddie’s face, “That’s sheriff to you, Munson.”
“Sorry, sir,” Eddie gritted out, wrapping his fingers around the wheel tighter so he wouldn’t lean out the window and rip each hair of Callahan’s mustache out one by one just to watch him suffer.
Callahan looked amused as he asked, “Were you aware of your speed leaving the park this morning, Mr. Munson?”
“Dude, were you just sitting outside the trailer park waiting for me? I could have you written up for stalk-“
Callahan tapped the roof of the car twice, making Eddie’s teeth grind together in silence again.
“I could have you written up for a number of things, Mr. Munson,” Callahan started. “Calling a member of the police force, dude, for one.”
Eddie stared ahead through his windshield and thought of all the places he’d rather be.
“Or maybe write you a ticket for speeding. Or how about that taillight you haven’t fixed yet?” Callahan crossed his arms, but lifted a finger and pointed like he was onto something, “Or maybe, if I search the cab of this…” he trailed off and gave the truck a grimace before continuing, “Fine vehicle, I’ll find some illegal drugs you have the intent of selling.”
“I don’t do that any-“
His volume and argument quick to die off when Callahan raised his eyebrows like he was just waiting for an accuse to arrest him.
“Please, man,” Eddie tried to get an ounce of patience squeezed out of himself to continue, “I’m already late for work. Can you give me whatever ticket you’re planning to give me so I can just be on my way?”
Callahan glanced at the logo on Eddie’s wrinkled polo and clicked his tongue. “Such a heartwarming thing to name such a fun place after such a nice girl. It’s a shame what happened to her though…”
Eddie’s hands twitched on the steering wheel with the thought of what Callahan was insinuating. Like he had something to do with the mall fire too somehow.
“I thought that the Chief told you that if you made any more comments about the rumors about me somehow being involved in that-“
Callahan raised his arms in surrender, “Woah, woah, woah,” he pressed a hand to his chest, “Mr. Munson, nobody is making any comments here. You have an alibi for that night, as we’re all well aware of.”
Just one mustache hair would be satisfying. No harm, right?
“Well,” Callahan squinted at him, pleased smile on his face, like he was god’s greatest gift to this earth for what he was about to say, “I’ll let you off with a warning today, how ‘bout? No need to make all the kiddos at Holloway’s wait for their fries and skates, right?”
Two mustache hairs. And a punch to the face.
Callahan’s grin widened, like the look on Eddie’s face was all he wanted out of the interaction. “But if you don’t get that tail light fixed and learn to slow down, maybe get to work on time, I’ll have no choice but to bring you in.”
He tapped the top of the truck, grimaced, then rubbed his hand on his pant leg.
Eddie saluted two fingers at him and watched him walk away in his side mirror, rolling his eyes at the way he whistled and walked like he was in a John Wayne movie.
“Prick.”
Once Callahan drove away in the opposite direction, he slammed the stereo on and cranked the tape he had left in, and started to dig around for his pack of Camel’s he swore he wouldn’t break into today.
His tires screeched when he peeled onto the road again, speedometer quickly going much higher than ten over now.
📻 “I’d spend my days alone. I used to stay at home. Lost in seclusion there, like I was in a cell.”
Tumblr media
The Judas Priest that had been on in the car was quickly taken over by Top Hits, and his shoulders hunched as Madonna started to play.
Again.
He spun around and handed two pairs of skates to two teens and dully said, “Enjoy.”
One smacked her gum as she pushed the scuffed up pair back over the counter and said, “I said sixes. And these smell.”
“You-“ Eddie bit his tongue as the teen blew a bubble and popped it loudly. He rubbed at his temple, “You said six. So I gave you sixes. Then you said they were too small. So I gave you sevens.”
“Yeah but these are too big,” she put her hands on her hips and rolled her eyes.
“How do you know?” He held his hands out to the pair he had quite literally just slid across to her.
“I just know.” She snapped her gum again and his eye started twitching.
“You just know?” He grit out, closing his eyes as Madonna sang about it being time for the good times and he hated that he knew the next lyrics.
When he opened his eyes and his lips parted to say something he hadn’t thought through, you slid up next to him behind the counter.
“Hi there!” You greeted the girls, bubbly and tossing your hair as your hip bumped his. “How about we try a different pair of sixes then? Those other ones might not have been broken in yet.”
“That’d be great,” the teen smiled at you and then let her features fall slack again as she looked at Eddie.
His fist balled on the counter and you slid a shiny pair over to her and exuberantly told the girls to have fun.
Your features shifted as you turned your back to the rink. Your face now turned from perfect customer service ‘pleased to be here’, to more of a dulled delight as you looked at him and gestured to the snack bar with your head. “Go take a break, Mr. Sunshine.”
He shook his head and started grabbing skates for the boys who came up to the counter practically drooling over you and unable to say anything other than their size without taking their eyes off of your profile.
“No way, I was late, I don’t deserve a break. Plus my shift is almost over anyways. You should take one.”
The skates rolled across the glass countertop and the boys continued to blink at you until Eddie flicked one of their foreheads and pointed to the rink, “Beat it, pervs.”
“Be nice,” you laughed, glancing over your shoulder at the boys retreating, causing one of them to trip and take the other down with him.
Eddie gestured to them, “Me? You’re the one out here taking down innocent men without even trying.”
“Shut up.” You knocked his shoulder with yours as you spun around, but smiled at the counter.
He leaned on his forearms and you did the same, and he stared at your profile for a little too long as he said, “Thanks again, for covering for me for being late.”
“No problem,” you smiled at him and then turned to look at the rink again, chin in your palm as you hummed along to the end of Holiday but then added, “I should have came and knocked when I didn’t hear your stereo this morning.”
Eddie looked down at the counter and grimaced, painfully aware of your bedroom window that faced his bedroom window and he mumbled, “Sorry, I’ll keep it down.”
Your shoulders shrugged, polo sleeve catching his as you turned to look at him again, “I don’t mind. I’m not a huge fan of silence anyways.”
He stared at your eyes, something in them duller from the words you’d just said.
Eddie didn’t know much about you yet, it’d only been about a month since your family had appeared next door one morning and you’d waved with a small smile on your face to him and Wayne. Came over and introduced yourself that evening with a plate of brownie squares.
He did know that you rode a bike with a little basket to work every day, that you sat outside at the picnic tables doing something for hours on the days you didn’t work. That you hung up pale yellow sheets on the clothes line in the moonlight as your radio trilled quietly next to you and your parents voices carried over into his open window.
So he swallowed and asked, “Any requests?”
Your eyes lit up again as you nodded and held up our fingers to list your demands.
“You gotta get some more Hall and Oates in your life, Munson.”
Eddie shivered and you laughed, adding on, “Oh and Queen. Fleetwood Mac! Whitney Houston!”
He moaned until your laughter subsided and you continued, “Oh, and you.”
“What?” He blinked at you as you smiled warmly at him. Looked at him in a way that made him think he’d never actually been looked at before, suddenly all too aware of the wrinkles in the shirt that smelled like weed and his hair all pulled into a low bun and frizzy.
“You, I request more of you,” you tilted your head, as you clarified, “Your guitar?”
“Oh,” he cleared his throat and blinked at the counter, “Right, yeah-“
“Are you in a band? I saw you hauling all sorts of…” You trailed off and stood up and nudged your hip against his and hissed, “Save yourself. Take your break.”
“Wha-“ The teen with the gum and size sixes was returning, and he didn’t need to be told twice. “I owe you. Big time.”
“Yeah you do, I like strawberry milkshakes and really expensive shoes,” you pointed at him but then smiled and waved him away. You turned your attention to the counter again and put on your best older sister kind of voice, “Darn it! Those didn’t work either?”
He was fairly certain you were an angel, sent down to earth to somehow outweigh the devilish goings on of his life.
So when he was sitting at the snack bar and watching you, thinking about how he was rudely woken up this morning before anything good could have happened in his dream, it was even worse when he was knocked in the back of the head and told he was drooling.
Steve flipped a chair around and straddled it, sitting across from him and yanking a fry out of the tray. He spoke around the hot potato, “You ass her out yeb?”
“Quit it,” Eddie groaned, yanking his fries back over to himself while he risked a glance back up at you. Watched as your hips swayed behind the counter while you put skates away and sang along to the music playing in the rink.
“God,” Steve snorted and pulled at a loose fry, “You’re down bad. I feel for you, man.”
“I know,” he moaned, head hitting the tabletop in defeat. He sat up and crossed his arms, watching you pull a teddy bear down for a kid who approached with four tickets and he knew you were giving it away for less than what was needed. He quietly admitted, “I had a dream. Last night.”
“Yeah?” Steve sat up eagerly, munching on a fry as he raised his eyebrows.
“You’re such a perv,” Eddie flicked his straw wrapper at him.
“You sicko,” Robin concurred without evidence as she sat next to Eddie with a large lemonade and a boat of popcorn.
Steve frowned when she smacked his hand away from the popcorn as he defended himself, “I did nothing, here. He’s the one who had a sex dream!”
“Shh!” Eddie swatted at him as Robin perked up, straw between her teeth as she asked, “Oh?”
“I didn’t-“ Eddie rubbed at his forehead, Steve and Robin together somehow worse for his head than the teens or pop hits, “It wasn’t like that. It was…a campaign. I fell asleep working on it, and she just happened to be…in my dream about it.”
“Yeah?” Robin asked eagerly as Steve frowned and asked, “That’s it? Did you even kiss?”
Eddie shrugged, “Not like, on the lips. I was going off to fight this…” he waved his hands around as Robin’s lips split in a grin and Steve’s nose wrinkled, “It doesn’t matter.”
“What was she wearing?” Robin asked, chin perched on her interlaced fingers as she batted innocent eyes at him.
“Don’t…” Eddie moaned, covering his eyes as his ears turned red.
“Was it…Return of the Jedi like?” Steve asked quietly, then added, “Because if it was like that dream, then you get a few more points back.”
Eddie opened his eyes to glare at him, “I didn’t have the Leia dream. Robin did.”
Steve raised his hands in surrender. “Listen. You both are nerds okay, I’m just trying to keep up.” He grabbed a fry and waved it around, “Is your warrior elf princess or whatever coming to the party tonight?”
“Is your lady coming tonight?” Eddie threw it back at him with raised eyebrows.
Steve rolled his eyes, perfect little curl over his forehead bouncing as he shook his head. “She’s not-“
“My lady,” Robin and Eddie chimed in together, loudly as Steve sighed.
“And bold of you to call her your lady, when you can’t man up and ask her to be,” Steve poked his forehead with a fry. “No guy who looks at a girl like you look at her should be over here talking to us when he could be over there, with her.”
You seemed to time it perfectly, coming onto the intercom just then, “Happyy Fridaayy! Don’t forget that here at Holloway’s we get that everybody is just working for the weekend. So grab one of our punch cards today! Every ten weekday punches you get a free snack pass! We also know that, everybody wants a new romance - well, Holloway’s is now pleased to offer Skate Date! Saturday nights from five to eight is couples skate. So to grab a piece of her heart, bring her to Holloway’s! We’ll get back to our regular skating, now, but don’t forget! No street shoes on the rink, laces must be tied at all times, kids under the age of five must have an adult with them, and no jumping over the walls. To skate here at Holloway’s, you gotta start from the start!”
Your voice crackled over the speaker, then a cowbell loudly played overhead and Eddie grinned.
He watched as you spun away from the mic and pointed directly at him, mouthing the words along with Loverboy.
📻 “Everyone’s watchin’ to see what you will do. Everyone’s lookin’ at you, oh. Everyone’s wonderin’, will you come out tonight? Everyone’s tryin’ to get it right, get it right.”
Steve stood up abruptly and said, “Let’s go. You’re asking her out.”
“Wha-“ Eddie sputtered as Steve yanked him up under his arms. “Get off me, man!”
“This is pathetic. She’s clearly into you too. Ask her out.” Robin snorted at Steve’s words while Steve straighted out his polo for him, spun him towards you and called out, “Go get ‘em, tiger!”
Eddie glared at him over his shoulder as he stumbled back towards the counter.
He stood on the opposite side though, like he was a customer, hands sweating at his sides as you smiled at him.
“I think that one was my best yet, what’d you think?” You asked before slipping your lips around the straw of your coke.
“Ye-yeah, it was good,” he cleared his throat, wincing at the squeak of it as he watched your cheeks hollow.
“I think Loverboy should definitely be on your evening rotation.”
Eddie winced, playing along and grateful you were easy to slip into conversation with, no matter how nervous he was. “I draw the line at leather pants, sorry.”
“Not a fan of leather,” you nodded, slipping your drink under the counter again, “Noted.”
His mind started to melt thinking about you in leather. Like in his dream. Leather battle vest laced up the back and corset like and-
“I mean…you, if you were wearing it, I’d…” He stumbled over the words and felt a billion degrees warmer than the eighty degree day when you grinned at him all knowing.
“Noted,” you said again, though this time you tilted your head at him before glancing down at the counter.
“Um, so you-“ Eddie tapped the counter, he spun his rings and rocked on the back of his heels before spitting out, “There’s this party tonight and I was wondering if you’d want to go?”
He watched your eyes sparkle, your mouth parted to answer when a customer came up and interrupted.
You apologized to him with a smile and helped the kid with their tickets and prize for the small arcade attached to the rink. He risked a glance back at the table to only find Robin and Steve sharing her popcorn and out right starting. He waved them away, mouthing for them to get lost when your voice made him freeze.
“So…” you drew it out, “This party…is it like a date?”
Eddie spun back to face you, face heated from the smirk on your lips and your gaze cutting to behind his shoulder. He had no doubt in his mind you were watching Robin and Steve do something insanely stupid like pretend to read invisible newspapers or have a wildly animated and over the top “conversation”.
He closed his eyes, and winced, “I mean, not if you…I’m not sure…”
“You’re not sure? If it’s a date? ” You asked and he opened his eyes to find you smiling sincerely at him.
Maybe you weren’t a princess or angel, but a witch, casting a spell on him, determined to have him make deals with the devil instead of preventing them.
“I’m sure that…” He swallowed and took a step closer to the counter, “I’m sure that I don’t think you deserve a shitty house party for a first date so no, it’s not a date. But I’d love to get to know you more. And I’m going, and I know you haven’t met too many people probably so maybe you could do that. And also just have fun. With me. There.”
He stared at you, watched you seem to inflate and deflate in a matter of seconds.
“I have a shift at Family Video after this,” you whispered to the counter, fingers fiddling with the hem of your polo. When you looked up at him, you seemed like a smaller version of yourself as you asked, “Maybe if it’s not too late and I’m not too tired, I could meet you there?”
“Yeah, yeah,” he nodded, suddenly feeling like a thousand rocks were in his stomach. He had no idea you worked two jobs. “Do you…you ride your bike home after that shift? At night?”
“I get the car at night,” you shook your head no, explaining, “I bike home, drop the bike off, my dad gets home from work and I take that to Family Video.”
“Oh, okay,” Eddie gestured to you, “Well if you ever need a ride…I have a semi-reliable truck.”
Your smile was mind meltingly sweet as you looked down at the counter then back up at him again. He swore there was a choir singing when you made eye contact that time.
“Noted,” you said it softly, the third time the best of all. Like you were really taking little facts about him and noting them down.
“So,” he drummed his fingers against the countertop then started to back away, “I’ll see you tonight…hopefully?”
“I’ll be the one in leather…possibly,” you offered and flashed him an even more dazzling smile and he stumbled, turning his back to you as he tried to hide his grin.
“Eddie?”
“Yeah?” He spun to face you, too fast, cheeks warm as you laughed.
“Where’s the party?”
“Oh shit!” A mom walked by with a small child, frowning and he bowed from the to pass, “So sorry, ma’am.”
You laughed as he returned to the counter and quickly scribbled the address on a ticket you passed over.
“Have a good rest of your day, Eddie,” your fingers brushed his as you took the ticket and slipped it in your back pocket.
He offered a discreet thumb’s up to Steve and Robin as he faced them again, and they fist pumped, and he floated back to the table on the sound of your laughter.
Maybe this Summer, working this shitty job, wouldn’t be that terrible after all.
Tumblr media
📻 “She didn’t know it was his last cigarette.”
Eddie’s face, hopeful for you to come to the party that night, was all you could think about. Butterflies cracked out of cocoons in your stomach as you remembered how flustered he got from the mere mention of leather.
Allowing the hot Indiana summer night and boy making your sheets cling to your skin wasn’t worth lying in, you decided, especially just to do so while listening to them argue and ruin the giddy hope filling you.
So you climbed out of your window, as you’ve done most nights since moving to this odd town, sketchbook and pen in your hand and the image of Eddie’s hair all tied up today itching to come out of you and onto the paper.
The wet grass clung to your bare feet as you quietly snuck out towards the picnic table in the back field, the moonlight, crickets, and bats your only company.
Or so you thought.
Your hand flew to your chest in shock, your body warmed even more as you became increasingly more aware of what you were wearing and who was sitting in your spot to see you in it.
“Hey,” he spoke first, all shadows and a smile that looked sleepy even from far away, an acoustic guitar on his lap.
You didn’t know much about Eddie Munson yet, but you wanted to. He’d filled more of the pages of the book in your hand than anyone had in awhile. He had a story, one you were desperate to draw out of him, literally on the page, as well as to learn from listening to him tell it in a way only he could.
You knew he had two very close friends in the boy everyone called Harrington who worked at the theater and the girl, Robin, who loved to chat with you whenever she came in. Knew he had a group of boys that followed him around that he pretended to be annoyed by. Knew he brought food over to the girl Max and her mom. Knew he listened to music you didn’t necessarily care for, but loved when he plucked things out on his own guitar, even if you didn’t know for what genre. You’d heard of some rumors surrounding him and the town that you didn’t really believe, because of the things you already knew.
The most important thing that you’d learned about him, was that if he already intrigued you this much, he was dangerous - a risk to all of your plans that you weren’t sure you were willing to take.
So each step forward was a timid one, the summer breeze drifting by fluttered the hem of your shorts, and from the quick glance he gave down at your chest then back up, it seemed to have peaked your nipples as well.
“What’re you doing out here this late?” You asked quietly, though you were far enough away, and they’re loud enough, that you weren’t sure why you bothered to lower your volume.
“I could ask you the same thing,” he offered just as softly.
Now that you were closer, you could see he wasn’t wearing his typical uniforms - his literal uniform or his almost imperceptibly different daily outfit of a different but similar shirt and the same jeans. Tonight it was a cotton white shirt, that ached to be wrinkled by your fingers. There was something about it that made you long for your pencils, to sketch him for hours, like this was the most vulnerable you’d ever get to see him.
“Can’t sleep,” you shrugged, holding up your sketchbook.
“Same,” he nodded to his guitar he laid across the tabletop gently, his notebook, scribbled words taking up a majority of the page.
“You write your own lyrics?” you asked, eagerly taking more steps to close the gap between the two of you to catch a glimpse and Eddie promptly folded the notebook closed as you got within sight.
“Oh come on,” you teased, reaching past him for it, “Can’t I read it?”
Eddie looked up at you, down at your sketchbook, then in a low tone of voice that should be illegal, asked, “Show me yours and I’ll show you mine.”
Your thighs pressed together when, despite his confident delivery, the tops of his cheeks turned pink, daring you to take a bite out of them. You didn’t have a doubt in your mind anymore:
Letting yourself have Eddie Munson was dangerous.
“I don’t know you that well,” you shrugged, like you were sorry, taking a step back.
“You could,” Eddie offered.
It sat like a bubble waiting to burst between the two of you. His hopeful eyes and your butterfly infested stomach, waiting for the other one to blink first.
He looked back at the trailers when a particularly loud slam of a door made you flinch.
“How was work?” He changed the subject, body shifting to face you fully and smiling. “I mean your other work?”
He pulled out a pack of cigarettes, a lighter sandwiched between the sticks and he leaned forward. His elbows on thighs covered in gray sweatpant material, cut with little care and revealing black ink on one of his thighs that dared you to get closer and inspect him.
“It was,” you cleared your throat and looked up at the stars, “It was fine. Typical Friday night rush. How was the party? I’m sorry I couldn’t make it.”
Eddie shrugged. “A party.”
“Not a fan?” You spun slowly, looking at the sky.
Eddie inhaled sharply as you turned slowly, your profile to him and his gaze on the hem of your shorts as he forced out a quiet, “Drunk idiots playing truth or dare and spin the bottle as adults, cheerleaders dating the jocks, still? No, not really.”
You hummed, head on the stars as you got an idea and timidly asked, “Truth or Dare?”
“Yeah,” he sighed, “I just hung out in the basement with Steve and Robin for most of it.”
He placed the cigarette between his lips and started to fiddle with the lighter. Your heart thrummed as you spun to face him fully and nervously laughed, “No, Eddie, truth or dare?”
You inched closer to him as he looked up at you, unlit cigarette between his lips still, and asked more than said, “Truth?”
Your stomach swooped a little, hoping he would have said dare but a little glad he hadn’t, not sure if you could have followed through. Your knee knocked his as you took a step closer, then closer.
Eddie’s hands caught your waist as you leaned forward and pulled the cigarette from his mouth. His breath grew shallow, chest rising and falling fast in front of you when his hand slipped between the thin shorts and thinner top, resting against your skin. You were close enough to see few freckles across his nose, smell mint on his breath and something woody and spicy in his hair.
Despite knowing it was dangerous, you were starting to not care.
His fingertips buzzed along your hipbone, sending shocks all the way up your spine, like a lit sparkler was cracking and fizzing inside your chest.
Eddie swallowed thickly as the tip of your nose brushed down the bridge of his, his hands flexing on your waist and the way his legs spread to make room for you to wedge between gave you a confidence you hadn’t had before.
“Do I make you nervous, Eddie?” Your question whispered in the centimeters of space between his lips and yours.
“Jesus,” he breathed it out through a rough chuckle, “More than you know, sweetheart.”
Your smile pressed your top lip to his bottom, a quick brush of your mouth against his that he sighed into.
“Good,” you murmured against his plush and pouty bottom lip that was ready to catch you and keep you there.
Then you turned and promptly walked back towards your trailer without looking back at him.
Your tingling lip caught between your teeth suppressed your giddy grin as he called out, “Don’t I get to ask you now?”
Maybe this Summer, in this town, wasn’t going to be so bad after all.

About Scars (on the face and the soul) Part 1
I've seen a lot of fanfics and fan arts where post-Upside Down Eddie struts around with badass facial scars. And sure — it’s cool, it’s hot, I love scars. I’ve got some myself (just not on my face). But here’s the thing: people seem to gloss over the fact that Eddie is a twenty-year-old, painfully single, possibly canonically gay guy living in a tiny town. And now he’s got a big, “ugly” scar across his face. Let’s not forget — most of that town already thought he was a freak, a weirdo, a satanist. Now, when he looks in the mirror, those insults aren’t just words — they’re his reflection. Who would want to be with him? With all his baggage, with that “ugliness,” with the nightmares that don’t end when he wakes up? We need to explore that side of the story more.
After everything that happened in the Upside Down, Eddie simply vanished.
The last time Steve saw him was in the hospital, though calling it a “visit” was generous—Eddie was unconscious, and all Steve could do was sit there, watching the twitch of his eyelashes and the gentle rise and fall of his chest. It calmed Steve, the way the ocean or a crackling campfire might calm someone else. He clung to the sound of Eddie’s breathing, to the warmth of his hand, letting himself drown in the relief that Eddie was alive.
There was only one thing Steve wanted more than that—he wanted Eddie to wake up. He wanted to finally talk about the endless, desperate flirting that happened between them in the rare lulls between saving the world. Steve had things to say. Things to offer, if Eddie was willing. They’d survived another apocalypse, and Steve wasn’t such a damn coward that he’d let something real slip away because of a crisis over labels. Especially not after all those late-night talks with Robin. Lots and lots of talks, if we’re being honest.
But the moment Eddie opened his eyes, everything fell apart.
First, he stopped allowing visitors. Nurses just shook their heads and said he’d insisted—only immediate family. And when he was discharged, he disappeared from the Party’s life as abruptly as he’d entered it. Not even Dustin could reach him. The trailer park was gone, and no one had a clear idea where the government had relocated him. But Steve had a guess.
Which is why he’d spent the last forty minutes knocking on every door in this block of identical gray houses, asking if anyone knew where Wayne and Eddie Munson lived. No luck so far.
He wasn’t desperate—really, he wasn’t. If Eddie didn’t want to see him, that was fine. They hadn’t made promises. Eddie had every right to cut him out. But Steve, who had been through four apocalypses now, knew what the aftermath could look like—panic attacks, nightmares, the cold, creeping terror that never really leaves. He knew those things well. He just wanted to make sure Eddie wasn’t drowning in them.
He lifted his hand to knock on yet another cardboard-thin door when it suddenly swung open—and Steve found himself face to face with a balding man. He recognized him instantly. He’d seen him during those long hours at Eddie’s bedside.
He and Wayne hadn’t talked much—NDAs, age gaps, entirely different worlds—but they’d found a quiet rhythm. Trading vending machine coffee, sharing energy bars, draping each other with hospital blankets when the steady beep of a heart monitor lulled them into sleep in front of Eddie's hospital bed.
Steve: Uh… Wayne? I’m really glad I found you. Is Eddie home? Wayne: Steve? How the hell—did Eddie call you? Steve (awkwardly): No, not exactly. I’ve been… looking. I needed to make sure he was okay. Is he? Wayne: Hm. Look, kid. I don’t know what the hell happened with you two, and if I hadn’t seen you in that hospital, I wouldn’t let you past the porch. But… it’s you. Maybe he’ll talk to you. I’ve got to head out for work now, but promise me—if it looks like seeing you’s doing him more harm than good, you call me first and then you go. Deal? Steve: Yeah. Of course. I promise.
Wayne nodded and pulled a pen from his jacket. No paper—so he just scribbled his work number across the back of Steve’s hand and stepped aside, giving him a silent nod to enter.
The apartment was... empty. Gray. Bare, like it had just been moved into. Maybe it had. Steve didn’t know. But he’d expected more life here—more of Eddie’s chaos, his color, his fire.
Steve (clearing his throat): Eddie?
Something clattered behind a closed door. Not quite an answer, but not silence either. Steve walked toward it and knocked gently.
Steve: Eddie? Can I come in? Eddie (strained): Steve? No. Don’t come in. Steve: Okay, man. I won’t, if that’s what you want. But... we’re worried about you. I’m worried. Are you really okay? Eddie (softly): I’m fine. Now leave. Steve: Look, I’m not going anywhere until you look me in the eye and tell me that. I’ll wait. Eddie: So what, if I don’t come out, you’re just gonna sit there forever? Steve (seriously): Yeah. Eddie: ...Sure you will.
(Twenty minutes later)
Eddie: You’re not giving up, are you? Steve (quiet but firm): No.
Another sound from behind the door. Shuffling. Hesitant steps. Then—a click. The door opened a crack, just a few inches. Steve instinctively moved forward before Eddie’s voice stopped him.
Eddie: I said don’t come in.
Steve: Sorry. It’s just... I’m glad to see you. Even a little.
He couldn’t see much—just a glimpse of Eddie’s eyes, the curve of his mouth. Not enough to make out details in the dim room, but enough to know: Eddie was alive.
Eddie (with a bitter laugh): Yeah. Sorry, big boy. You probably don’t want to stand too close. I’m fresh off a tour of Hell, now with added undead vibes. Real charming. We could cosplay Beauty and the Beast for Halloween. All the candy’s mine.
There was something in his voice Steve didn’t recognize. Bitter. Self-loathing. And it pissed him off.
He pushed the door open and stepped inside.
Eddie flinched, turning away, shrinking into himself. Not meeting Steve’s gaze. The first thing Steve noticed was the cane. Then his eyes moved upward—met Eddie’s eyes, skimmed over his nose, those full lips—and relief crashed over him.
He was alive. Eddie was alive.
But then Steve saw what Eddie had tried to hide. Jagged red scars slashed across his right cheek, stretching to the corner of his mouth, up toward his eyebrow. What bandages had concealed in the hospital was now exposed in raw, brutal truth.
Eddie (choked, fighting tears): Get out. Steve: Hey—it's okay. What’s going on? Eddie, talk to me. Eds…? Eddie (angrily, desperately): You found me. Happy now? You see it? The limp, the scars, the phantom pain that never lets up? I’m stitched together with fear and agony. I was a freak in high school, and now I look the part. Forever.
Steve (gently): Eddie, shhh... Can I—can I touch you?
Silence. Steve thought Eddie might be holding his breath.
Steve (softly): I don’t know what this feels like for you. I can’t take it away or fix it. But I saw you fight. I saw you save people when you could’ve run. You saved Dustin—he’s alive because of you. That matters. That never stops mattering. You’re not just your body. You’re... everything else.
Eddie (hoarsely): Jesus, you’re good at speeches, Harrington. But you forget something—I have to live like this now. Who the hell is gonna want this?
(He gestures bitterly at himself.)
You know, I used to have this stupid dream that one day I’d find someone. Someone to share my life with. But that dream ended with this goddamn scar.
Steve (smiling): I didn’t even notice it at first. Is it weird to say... it kinda suits you? Very metal.
Eddie: …
Eddie (finally, almost in a whisper): You really didn't notice the scar? Steve: No. I noticed you were alive. And… I noticed I missed you like an idiot.
Eddie let out a breath, quiet and shaky, like he'd been holding it this whole time. He didn’t smile—not really. But there was something in his eyes, something that flickered and caught light, like the last ember refusing to go out.
Eddie (quietly): You’re late.
Steve took a step forward, then stopped, his voice just above a whisper.
Steve: I got here as fast as I could.
Another pause. A heartbeat. Eddie’s fingers tightened slightly on the handle of his crutch, knuckles paling. But he didn’t move away.
Eddie: You still... drive me crazy, you know that?
Steve (softly, with a half-smile): Yeah. I was hoping that part hadn’t changed.
Their eyes locked again—no fear this time, no pretending. Just the quiet, aching truth between them. And then, so slowly it was almost imperceptible, Eddie gave the tiniest nod.
Steve stepped forward, closing the distance until their noses brushed. His eyes locked onto Eddie’s, catching the dilated pupils and the faint flush rising to his cheeks.
And this time, Eddie didn’t stop him.

Something About You Baby
Tumblr media
Summary: You watched behind the scenes as filming for In The Closet began. Michael in work mode was one of your favorite things, but there was something different about this time.
Pairing: Michael Jackson x Reader!
Warning: AWKWARD TENSION, ARGUING AND CURSING
Requested: yes
Tumblr media
*Y/N’s POV*
It was hot. Everything. The weather. The onscreen couple. The wardrobe. Everything. It felt like only yesterday Michael jumped out of bed and began scribbling notes in the notebook I’d put in his nightstand for moments like this. I laid on my side watching him hum and beatbox until he found the right melody. His process was incredible to witness. It was so damn sexy when he lost himself in the music.
“What do you think?” Michael smiled, standing still as I eyed him up and down— taking my sweet time of course.
“Very handsome.” I leaned in, my lips molding to the curve of his cheek. “Aren’t you going to be hot in those jeans?”
“Yeah, but I don’t have many other options.”
“You could wear a speedo.” I teased.
“I think that would negate the subtly I was going for.”
“Boo. You’re no fun.” I giggled, wrapping my arms around his shoulders and twirling my fingers through the strands of his ponytail.
“Plus, those don’t seem very comfortable or supportive for that matter.”
“Must you always overthink my jokes?”
“How about… I give you a private show later. I’ll pull out all my best moves and definitely no speedos.” I could feel his fingers slip under the hem of my shirt, tracing my hipbone.
“Oh, I wouldn’t miss that for the world.”
“Only the best for my lady.”
“We should get out there… the longer you look at me like that the closer we are to getting this trailer rockin’. I only have so much self control.” I pouted, dragging the pads of my fingers along the details of his shoulder muscles.
“I love the hell out of you. You know that?”
“I had an inkling.”
“Come on. They’re waiting for us.”
Michael held out his arm for me to take before guiding me with him to where everyone was waiting. After quick pleasantries, I looked on silently as they begun talking business. Michael spoke with the director about some last minute ideas. I took the moment to look around, it was a simple set and I was looking forward to seeing how they’d utilize everything.
“This is Y/N, my better half.” Michael’s voice brought me back into the conversation. When I turned my head I was face to face with his love interest for the day.
“Hello, it’s great to meet you.” I smiled, trying to hide how utterly intimidated I’d felt. The more I looked at her the more I felt myself shrink— she’s like a fucking goddess.
“Hi, I’m Naomi, it’s exciting to finally meet you. Michael talks about you constantly. I feel like I already know you.” She was tall with long hair and a costume which showed off her toned physique. She was absolutely beautiful.
Michael whispered in my ear about needing to take care of something and left me alone with the supermodel. We continued talking and laughing together. She was actually pretty easy to talk to. It wasn’t long until I didn’t feel so insecure anymore. I mean she’s still stunning, but she also seemed kind. She’s Michaels friend— good friend. He doesn’t have many of those, people he can trust, so that’s another plus in my book.
“Mike should’ve just had you in the video.” She nudged me with her elbow. “I think that would’ve really brought the shock value. No one would expect it, since he’s so protective of you.”
“Yeah, I don’t think he’d go for that at all. Plus, I couldn’t— I get a little camera shy.”
“Don’t be shy. Own it, I know I would. You’re with the most successful man in the world. He chose you, don’t be shy, don’t hide. Who gives a shit what they say. If you ask me, you’ve already won.”
“I’ve won? Won what?”
“Seriously?” She laughed, shaking her head and gesturing with her head in the direction of where Michael was. “Happiness.” She stated simply. “People would do anything for true happiness. You’ve got it. It brings out the envy in most.” I stared at her for a moment, my eyes searching hers for understanding. She didn’t smile this time. She looked at me with this expression that sent a shiver through my body. By the time I’d figured out what to say to her, we were interrupted before I could get the words out.
“Excuse me, Naomi, we need you.” She excused herself and walked off to the makeshift church, posing in front of it as they checked the lighting.
She’s really fitting for the role. There’s no way I could’ve done that— the outfit alone. She looked more comfortable in it— in front of all these people more than I ever could.
I was left with this uneasy feeling. Nonetheless, I watched on as they got in position. She smiled, batting her eyes when Michael emerged from his trailer. I recognized the excitement, the hitch in her breathing, but the real give away was the way her face fell when he made his way to me. She had no idea how to mask her emotions, which made it difficult to brush off.
“Y/N, baby.” His sweet voice sounded from beside as I felt his embrace.
“Hi.” I said simply, pulling my focus away from her and the anger I felt— it wasn’t important. It’s not worth it. Michael has had many admirers. This won’t be any different. Like she said, I shouldn’t hide. I should own it.
“We’re about to start. I need for you to stay right here, okay?”
“Here? Okay. I can do that.” I crossed my legs and sat back in my chair. “Oh, I love it when you give me orders.”
“Stop it.” He jumped towards me, covering my lips. “You really want me to break your back in the middle of a desert?”
“I mean if you’re offering.” I couldn’t help myself I loved the look on his face when I flirted with him, especially in public.
“You’ve gotta stop getting me started when there’s people around.” He muttered under his breath, adjusting his jeans discreetly. “Naughty.”
“Fine. I’ll be good.”
“I’ll be right over there.” He pointed over to where a dusty old car was parked. “I need to have you in my eye line, so I can sing to you. I need you there. It’ll help my nerves— seeing you will help me.”
“I won’t move.”
“Thank you.”
Tumblr media
I did exactly as I was told. I didn’t move.
Every time they took breaks in between filming, Michael was right by my side acting a fool. He was so amped up, everything I said only added to his craziness.
“Put ‘em up!” Michael yelled from behind me.
“You scared the shit out of me!” When I turned around he had a bright green water gun pointing at me and a brown cowboy hat on.
“Hands in the air fine lady!”
“You don’t have to yell—” That’s when I felt cold liquid hit me in the forehead. “What is that? It’s burning my eye.”
“I’m Sheriff Jackson and you are under arrest. Put your hands in the air.”
“Sprite?” I asked as the substance dripped down onto my lips. “You goon, did you really fill that water gun with soda?”
“Stop resisting arrest, ma’am. Don’t make me handcuff you.”
“Where’d you get that from?” I laughed, poking the shiny badge clipped to his chest. “You’re silly. So, you’re the Sheriff?”
“Yes ma’am and I suggest you start cooperating.”
“Can I ask what I’m being charged with?” I teased, tilting my chin up with my hands in front of me— cooperating.
“Being sexy.”
“That’s not a crime. It seems to me like an abuse of power on your part.”
“Yes, I use this badge to get near beautiful women. You caught me.” He grabbed my wrist, pulling me out of the chair and into his chest. “If you give me some lovin’. I’ll let you go— charges dropped.”
“You’re so damn annoying.” I kissed him roughly, sinking my hands slipping through the strands of his hair. “You’re lucky you’re so scrumptious, Sheriff.”
“Having fun?”
“I would be if I wasn’t all sticky from being shot at with sprite.”
“Don’t worry, I’ll lick it off of you later.” He winked, dancing around me and pinching my butt. “I’ll have an hour for lunch, if you’re interested.”
“I’ll go pick up your favorite.”
“You’re my favorite.” He walked me over to the car and kissed me. “I can’t believe I’m helping a fugitive escape.” He murmured against my lips.
“Sheriff, the only thing I’m guilty of is having dirty thoughts about you.” I kissed his cheek, his jawline then his neck as I felt his heart begin to race. I pulled away, smiling up at him. “I should get going.”
“Tease.” He huffed, smacking my butt as I turned to get into the car. “Drive safe. I love you.”
“I love you.” He shut the door softly, leaning through the open window to kiss me one last time before I drove off.
Tumblr media
When I pulled up to set, paper bags in hand everything felt the same. It wasn’t until my eyes landed on Michael that I realized I was wrong. He jumped slightly when I greeted him and was painfully quiet.
“Are you alright?”
“Yeah, thanks for getting food.” He sounded genuine in his tone, but the way he was pushing food around his plate with a fork told me there was more.
“Michael, you can—”
“Please!” He jumped up, dodging my hand as I tried to reach out to him. “Just drop it.”
There was so much I wanted to say. I had so many questions, but I stayed silent. When I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror I immediately felt sick, I looked like a scared kid who’d just been grounded. I felt so damn confused.
“I gotta get back.” I watched as he left the trailer, his head hanging forward and his steps small but steady.
“Okay.” I said after the door shut. I felt helpless. I had no idea what the hell was going on. I thought about how clear he’d been about me taking my spot behind the camera, but right now it felt like he didn’t want me there.
Yet, my feet still carried me outside where the atmosphere had dramatically changed.
“3… 2… Action!”
I stared at my hands, resting in my lap, trying to think over the events of today. I had no idea what could be bothering Michael, but it was serious. I could feel it. When I finally built up the courage to look at him he spun around quickly avoiding my eyes. I don’t think I ever felt more devastated than in this moment.
“How was that?” I heard a voice speak near me. I looked up in time to see the crew walking towards the equipment. This meant they were taking a break— yet Michael was— I didn’t know where he was.
Great. He’s hiding from me now. What’s going on?
The crew had huddled around one of the monitors as they viewed the scene they’d just filmed. They were cheering and applauding at the performance Michael and Naomi were putting on. Even I had to admit, they were doing a great job, very convincing— almost uncomfortable to watch since they were having so much fun groping each other. Truly every girlfriend’s dream to witness her man dry hump in the open desert for a dozen cameras. I’m a lucky girl.
“Look at them. This is going to be hot!”
“That’s a star couple if I ever saw one.”
“People are going to go crazy over this video.”
“They’d be absolutely stunning together. Imagine their babies. Oh, they’d have beautiful babies.”
What the fuck. They’re having babies now? I can’t take much more of this. It’s getting difficult to keep up the supportive girlfriend act. It was easy to tell myself it’s just a job and Michael deserves to have me here cheering him on, but now it felt like I was intruding.
“Naomi, can we get you on the floor?” She flipped her hair and nodded enthusiastically. “Michael, just climb on top of her, do whatever comes to you.”
Yeah, I’m gonna need a break. I hopped out of my chair, walking off before taking one last glance at my boyfriend— that was a big mistake. His hand on Naomi’s chin, guiding her to look up at him from where she was on the floor— in front of him— on her knees.
That’s awesome.
I’m totally okay with this.
I’m not upset. They’re just acting.
And, they just so happened to be great actors.
Tumblr media
*Michael’s POV*
As I danced along to the music, something had shifted and I could feel it deep in my soul. I tried to continue, but I was too focused on the empty chair a few yards in front of me. This isn’t right. She wouldn’t just wander off without telling me. I took a deep breath, shaking my head and when the music stopped my feet took off. This felt— it all felt wrong.
“Babe?” I found her stood behind the trailer, her back pushed up against it. “Why’d you leave?”
“It didn’t feel like I was needed anymore.”
“Of course you are. I panicked— I was worried when I didn’t see you.”
“I’m not stupid.” Her eyes were glossy when she finally spoke and her lips stuck in a frown.
“Of course you’re not. I never said you were.” I reached out to her, but she pushed my hand away.
“Well, then, why are you treating me like I am?”
“Babe, what’s going on? What’s this about?”
“This is humiliating.”
“What are you talking about?”
“You can cut the tension with a knife. Why did you even bring me here?”
“Because I need you.”
“It doesn’t— I don’t think you do.”
“Come on. Let’s go inside.” I tried to reach out for her again, but she stepped away, wrapping her arms around herself. She was shielding her from me and it hurt like hell. “Let’s talk. We should talk.”
“It’s in your eyes. They always tell me what you can’t say. I can see it.”
“Honey, see what?”
“Michael, you’re into her.”
“What?”
“You’ve been acting— you haven’t been yourself off camera— with me. I don’t know why, but ever since lunch you’ve been avoiding me. It seems like you rather be over there with her… you’re not being yourself. And, the only explanation I can come up with is that you’re into her.”
“No. No. That’s not true.”
“That’s what it feels like— like you want to be with her. You’re acting different.”
“Baby, no. I promise that’s not it.”
“When they yell cut you practically hide from me, but I can tell. I can see it in your eyes— it’s— there’s something wrong and it looks like when the camera is rolling you’re loving every minute. I can feel it— there’s something going on with her.”
“No, Y/N, no— I don’t want her. This is work and I’m just playing a part.”
“You guys are all over each other—”
“It’s for the film. We’re acting. I’m acting. That’s all.”
“It seems like you’re both really enjoying it. Why are you avoiding me? Like you don’t want to be near me—”
“No, that’s not it! I’m so sorry… I didn’t intend to make you feel that way.”
“What is it then! Am I imagining it?”
“Y/N! No!”
“All you can say is no?”
“No! I mean— shit, not no.”
“You’ve gotta get back out there. I’ll just stay here or I can leave.” She took in a deep breath like she was trying to appear unfazed. “Do you want me to leave?”
“No. Y/N, listen...” I drifted off, feeling helpless. I had no idea what to say— how to say this.
“Just say it.”
“I don’t know…”
“Then, say something, say anything.”
“I was avoiding you because I can’t keep things from you. I’m not a good liar.”
“A good liar? Oh my god. What did you do?”
“Babe.”
“What did you do with her that you need to lie to me about?” Her voice was weak and she started crying profusely at the thought of me betraying her.
“No. Please listen to me.” She still wouldn’t let me touch her, so I settled for placing my hands on the metal exterior of the trailer, on either side of her, blocking her in so she couldn’t run away from me.
“I’m listening.” She muttered, staring off into the distance.
“I’d never do something like that. I didn’t mean— I meant I’m not good at keeping things from you. I hate it actually. And, I thought it was best to not tell you this while we’re still here because I didn’t want you to kill Naomi.”
“What are you talking about?”
“I love you. Do you hear me? I fucking love you. I didn’t want— I thought I was protecting you.”
“What the fuck is going on?”
“Shit. Okay, please don’t be mad.”
“Michael, you’re scaring me.”
“When you left to get us lunch. She came into my trailer—”
“Who?” Her eyes squinted, focusing on my every word and I knew immediately this wasn’t going to end well.
“Naomi, she came onto me.”
“She what!” Y/N yelled, taking me by surprise.
“Oh, you’re already mad. That was quick.” I nervously bit my lip, stalling because I didn’t want to tell her everything. She was going to lose it.
“What did she do Michael?”
“I need you to promise me that you won’t run over there and go all Balboa, okay? There can’t be— you can’t make a scene.”
“Michael, tell me, now.”
“You didn’t promise.”
“Fine. I promise. I won’t make a scene.” Her voice was calm when she said it, showing me a tight lipped smile to reassure me. I didn’t have much time to study that smile before she spoke again. “Now, tell me.”
“Naomi came onto me. She threw herself at me. I didn’t think she’d— it came out of nowhere. I—It made me so uncomfortable. I was kind of embarrassed— but still— honey, I— I should’ve told you. I— S— She grabbed me— like— down there and said things— offered some things I’m not very comfortable repeating—” I didn’t get to finish before she dipped her head under my arm, escaping my makeshift barrier. “Babe!” She didn’t stop and she didn’t look back.
I took a deep breath before chasing after her, but she’d vanished. Damn, I forgot how quick she is. The only hint of her whereabouts was the sound of Naomi’s trailer door being ripped open. I scanned the area anxiously, but nothing seemed off. No one was suspicious of anything. There were no eyes on me. Everyone was going on about their business as usual and that’s when I really noticed how quiet it was. It was too quiet. I couldn’t hear any sounds of a fight which made me curious and a little afraid. Carefully, I walked towards the open door of Naomi’s trailer, peeking inside and nothing. I didn’t see Y/N or Naomi anywhere. I really didn’t want to go inside, but knowing my girl, I’d definitely have to carry her out of here.
“Babe! Are you in here?” There was a slight creaking sound and it was only then I noticed the trailer shaking.
No answer.
“Babe?”
Still nothing.
I placed my foot on the first step, counting to five before going any further, but thankfully that was as far as I had to go. Y/N appeared from the back room with a toothy grin on her face this time, fixing her shirt and dusting herself off.
“Hey baby! There you are.” She chuckled, walking over to me, intertwining our hands and dragging me back outside— away from what she’d done. My gut told me she left behind a crime scene. The way she smiled at me— I had no doubt she took care of business.
“What did you do?” I whispered, studying her body for any visible wounds. I paused, inspecting her hands, specifically her bright red knuckles.
“Nothing.” She shrugged innocently. “I didn’t do anything. I didn’t see anything, did you?”
“Y/N, you have to tell me.”
“Tell you what?”
“Did you hit her? Yell at her? I didn’t hear any yelling. What happened in there?”
“I didn’t hear anything. Did you?” She tilted her head, waiting for my answer. There was something about the way she was looking at me. I wanted to laugh, but I was genuinely curious what she was capable of.
“Babe—”
Before I could finish, Naomi emerged from her trailer, looking— very different. She looked like she’d been to hell and back. Her hair was a mess and her eyes were trained on the floor as she walked by us. She had her hand on her forehead, acting like she was blocking the sun, but I could tell there was more. She was covering something, maybe a scratch or bruise.
“I didn’t cause a scene.” Y/N whispered to me as she brought her lips to mine.
“I’m not sure whether to be scared of you or really turned on right now.” I wasn’t scared of her. I was impressed, maybe that was wrong, but I was.
“You’ll figure it out.” She winked, cupping my face and rubbing her thumb across my cheek.
“Thank you. Thank you so—”
“No need. I’m always going to have your back. I know I promised, but I couldn’t— I couldn’t just let someone get away with doing that to you.”
“Thank you for standing up for me. No one has ever done anything like that for me.”
“And, I always will. You’ll always have me.”
I stared at her in awe for what felt like hours, the way I love her is unlike anything I’ve ever known to exist. She defends me with her whole heart. No matter how low I feel she brings me back up. When I feel like I’m drowning she keeps my head above water. I don’t know how she does it— I don’t know why she does it, but damn would I be lost without it— without her. Fuck, I knew it the first time I laid eyes on her. I knew it the first time I heard her voice. I needed her. My girl.
There’s something about her.
“I love you.” It came out as an exhale, but shit did I put my soul into those three words. I felt a tug at my lips, admiring how she looked at me, like I was her world— the same way I looked at her.
“You should.”

Nice & Slow | e.m. x reader
Tumblr media
Summary: Late night kisses lead to Eddie worrying about losing you but, come morning, you chase those worries away.
Word Count: 2.1k
Now that the curtains are drawn, the glow of the street lamps just barely break into the bedroom. It’s much darker now. Quieter too. The laughter and chatter that once filled the trailer had left along with the last few guests that disappeared into the night. The sated stillness that found you now had been welcomed with open arms.
“You’re not cold are you?” The question is murmured into the back of your neck, Eddie’s soft lips against your warm skin as he lays behind you. He must feel the way it makes you shiver because he gives your waist an affectionate squeeze where his hand rests.
Everything smells like him. The pillowcase, the sheets, the air.
If you were to flip back through everyday of your life, you would find few in which you felt as whole in the arms of another person. It was as if you’d gone every other moment without being complete. Eddie’s love was mending. The type that nestled between your ribs, and bloomed outwards with no sign of withering away.
His fingertips slip beneath the hem of your shirt and grace along the waistband of your pants. It was as if you were a book he’d had the pleasure of reading a million times over. Each page delicately thumbed, with notes scribbled in the margins. Literature be damned if it meant knowing the living, breathing intricacy of another.
“No, you’re always warm,” you finally answer, brushing your thumb over his knuckles. “Wish we could stay like this forever.” There’s a dreaminess to your voice, like you’re walking the line between sleep and wakefulness.
It’s an ambitious thought, but he made you that way.
“Forever…” It sounds like he’s tasting the word. “That’s cheesy,” he lightly accuses, nipping at your nape to distract from the warmth flooding his chest. He wouldn’t mind forever.
Your shoulders lift with a few contained giggles, before they sleepily spill past your lips. It’s the first livelier sound to break the air of his bedroom and, for a moment, he lets himself forget that his Uncle Wayne is asleep in the living room. You try to scoot away from him with no real conviction, already rendered boneless and weak. It isn’t until you hiccup on a breath that he relents. There’s a pleasant buzz beneath your skin as you resettle into his chest with a sigh. He offers up a content sigh of his own.
It strikes him then, how lucky he is.
“I love you,” he says.
“Mmm.” It’s a disbelieving sound. You’re only teasing, but it’s too late at night and he’s too tired to catch on.
“I do.” His voice is thick with honesty. “You’re everything to me. You know that,” he insists, low and earnest.
You roll over to face him then, brushing your fingertips along his hairline and running them down his stubbled cheek as he blinks his doe eyes at you.
“Now you’re starting to sound cheesy.”
“Then don’t scare me like that,” he complains weakly, leaning into your touch. “Sometimes I worry I’m not making it clear.”
“You make it clear everyday,” you assure, running your thumb over his Cupid’s bow. “I love you too.” You lean in to kiss him, nice and slow. A content hum rises up his throat.
He isn’t expecting you to pull away so soon, but you move to press a line of kisses down his chin. Groaning, he rolls onto his back and pulls you by your waist to lay on top of him. Your legs fall alongside either of his.
“Eddie,” A chuckle bubbles up your throat. “It was just a few extra goodnight kisses,” you say innocently.
He gives you a lopsided grin, dark eyes sparkling. “What’s a few more then?”
As soon as your lips meet again, it feels like you’re melting into him, his tenderness, his warmth. It’s almost too much, but you brave the feeling anyways, letting it soak all the way to your bones. Eddie’s body is steady and solid beneath you even though it feels like you’re falling.
When you pull away, he looks up at you in a way you can’t quite read, cheeks flushed.
“What is it?” you whisper, searching his eyes. “You haven’t seen a ghost, have you?” You playfully look over your shoulder and the corner of his lips twitch upwards.
Turning back around, you fold your arms over his chest and rest your chin on your hands. It’s an invitation for him to keep talking. He’s grateful for the steady pressure of your body. It’s like the two of you are one.
“I shouldn’t be here,” he says.
The room goes still.
A silence settles between you. It’s thick, thoughts somehow escaping into the air before words. You don’t have to ask to know what this is about.
There were still scars on his body attesting to that fateful night in the Upside Down. It was one of those potent memories that refused to remain cemented to the past. Pain flare-ups struck every now and again, but you knew the incident came to his mind more often than not—especially on inopportune days, because there was no way it couldn’t.
“If you weren’t supposed to be here, you wouldn’t be, Eddie,” you say, not harsh but convinced. “You fought for it. You deserve to be.”
“I know, it’s just…” He trails off, thinking. “On nights like this, when everything feels so goddamn perfect, it’s like I’m waiting for a rug to get ripped from under me.”
A small sliver of light leaves your eyes, and he digs the heels of his palms into his eyes. “Sorry, I’m ruining—”
“No, you’re not ruining anything,” you’re quick to say, reaching to pull his wrists down. “You could never.”
You’re not expecting a chuckle to escape him, but the sound fills your chest with a flicker of relief. Levity was always waiting somewhere in the wings. Even if the world was ending, you supposed it’d be there ready to take off the edge. That’s just what happened when he was around.
“I definitely could,” he argues.
A smile tugs at your lips even though you fight it. “You know what I mean.” You stroke his hair, watching the way his eyelashes flutter. “You want to be here, don’t you?”
A resounding yes echoes in his mind. Everyone he loves is on this side of the Upside Down. He’d claw his way back every single time.
“Of course I do.”
“Then that’s what’s worth holding onto. Not the what-ifs,” you tell him, praying your sincerity isn’t lost.
•••
The next morning, pale sunlight streams onto your face as you stand at Eddie’s bedside, squeezing his bicep to encourage him awake. In a brief flicker of wakefulness just moments ago, he’d convinced himself that he hadn’t felt you get out of bed. Upon looking up at you with bleary eyes, he wishes you were still in his arms. He muffles a yawn into his pillow before offering you an easy smile.
“Morning.” There’s a slight rasp to his voice.
“Good morning.” You smile back. “There’s somewhere I wanna take you.” Eagerness is coated around each word.
“Really?”
“Mhmm. But it’s a secret.” He wrinkles his nose at that.
“Just gimme, like, ten more minutes.” When you open your mouth to complain, he pushes the sheets off himself, and swings his legs over the side of the bed. “I’m messing with you, sweetheart.” You squeak when he pulls you to stand between his legs by the back of your thighs.
It’s impossible to ignore the warmth of his lips when he kisses your stomach through your shirt. He looks up through his lashes in time to see the flustered look that washes over your features. He doesn’t try to hide the boyish grin that spreads across his face.
“You like that?” There’s a teasing lilt beneath the innocence of his question. He kisses your stomach again, then raises the hem of your shirt up just enough to kiss the bare skin. “Hmm?” He looks back up at you for an answer he already knows.
Ignoring him, you work your fingers into his messy hair and scratch his scalp in that gentle way that always coaxes a shiver out of him. “I was thinking we could go get breakfast afterwards.” You try to keep your voice level but you’ve gone all soft and fuzzy on him.
“After my surprise?” he coaxes, kneading your waist.
You nod. “We have to hurry before it gets too late.”
That prompts him to stand to his full height, finally allowing you to embrace him. You press your ear to his chest and listen to the steady sound of his heartbeat, thinking about the night before. About ponderings on what should, shouldn’t be, and was.
As the sound thumps on you’re grateful that he’s still here. That he is.
•••
There’s something about seeing you behind the wheel of his van that makes Eddie feel good. He can’t quite pin why, but pride is somewhere in the mix alongside an eternal sense of adoration. It’s a hulking piece of metal, still going strong after everything he’d put it through since the day his Uncle Wayne helped him talk down the selling price.
You always look worlds prettier and focused than when he’s at the helm.
Hawkins is just beginning to wake up. A few people flitter into stores in their hats and coats. There’s a handful of other vehicles peppering the streets.
When you home to a stop at a stoplight, Eddie looks out the window at a teenager walking one of the shaggiest dogs he’s ever seen. He’s about to point it out to you, but you’re already looking.
“Reminds me of somebody I know.” You fight to keep a straight face after obviously taking in Eddie’s full head of hair.
His mouth falls open as the light turns green, and you give into a laugh when he snorts and shakes his head.
“You’re cruel,” he says, still chuckling. “Absolutely wicked.”
“Wait,” you breathe through a laugh. “We’re close. Can you close your eyes until we get there?”
Eddie listens without question, metal rings glinting as he reaches across the console to grab your thigh since you’ve deprived him of sight. No sooner does his thumb begin to rub small patterns onto your leg.
“I was just joking, by the way,” you tell him, meaning it.
His eyebrows furrow. “Oh, the dog thing?” A brief spell of laughter rises up again. Under oath, you’d swear it was your favorite sound. “It’s all good. No harm, no foul.”
He feels the van turning into what he can only assume to be a parking lot, if the way you slow down is any indicator.
“We’re here.”
•••
Lover’s Lake has never quite looked like this. At least, not when he was there to see. The way the early sunlight breaks through the trees as dissipating fog hovers over the water makes for a scene worth being immortalized. Both of you are quiet as you stand several feet back from the water’s edge, the tide gently lapping in.
Eddie was never one for nature until you came along, or being still, for that matter. You’d managed to open his eyes to the power of both. There was something healing about it, something mending. Like how he felt when he was alone with you. It was as if there was nothing or no one else in the entire world except for you by his side, and the sight stretched before him like an altar.
“I know it’s not the most life-changing thing in the entire world,” you start, playing with your fingers, “but it’s beautiful."
Especially for Hawkins, you want to add. Even the air is fresher and more crisp over here.
“Can we sit for a second?” he asks, looking behind himself at the ground.
Both of you take a seat. Him with his long legs outstretched, and you hugging your knees.
“I’m really starting to think you have superpowers.” Along with the playfulness, you can hear the overwhelming note of gratitude in his voice. “You always know what I need before I do.” He looks over at you like you’re a wonder fallen from the sky.
Your eyes stay on the delicate ripples of the water. “My only powers are watching and listening.” Eddie waits to speak because he can sense that you have something else to say. “I know you’re worried about good things being ripped away from you, but look.” You motion out in front of you.
“Doesn’t it kinda make you feel like everything’s gonna be okay?” You lean your head onto his shoulder, briefly closing your eyes as you exhale.
It does, even if only for this moment in time.

I cannot contain my excitement, so let's talk about the new trailer!! Some of this is going to be analysis and some of this is just going to be me screaming (for some reason my screen caps always come out kind of fuzzy and I have 0 idea how to fix that, so y'all are gonna have to bear with me)
Tumblr media
Destiny's palace looks SO good and I'm super excited! I've read up through The Kindly Ones and iirc we never actually got to see his palace - just the gardens - so this is a really nice treat.
Tumblr media
This has to be from The Kindly Ones. My first thought was "oh cool, we're going to get to see Dream rebuild the palace," but then I actually took the time to look at this shot. The three points of attack on the palace? The fact that the bridge is intact? The hell-like, apocalyptic sky/scenery? This is 100% the Three attacking the Dreaming, not Dream rebuilding the palace.
Tumblr media
We love a man who ponders his orb lol. I'm very interested to find out if this is Baghdad or if they're repurposing the orb for a piece of the main plot.
Tumblr media
HE'S SO MID-2000s EMO 15 YEAR OLD ME IS THRIVING RIGHT NOW
Tumblr media
It's extremely interesting that Destiny keeps Delight's picture in his gallery. I know he's canonically blind so he wouldn't be able to see the difference, but he still knows she's Delirium now, so you would think the painting would reflect that. Setting aside how this is an incredibly effective and efficient way of story-telling, it's a nice piece of characterization for Destiny. My thoughts on that characterization aren't fully formed right now, but I do think it's interesting.
And I didn't get a cap because I don't think a single frame does it justice and I don't really know how to make gifs, but Delirium's entrance is really god damn cool and just screams fan service /pos. Very "guys look! Your favorite character is finally here!"
Tumblr media
Extremely interested for the reason behind why the floor of Destiny's palace is made of sand.
Tumblr media
As much as I loved the Napoleonic outfit in the comics, I'm SO glad they went with more of a vampire aesthetic in the show. Someone please edit fangs onto this man when the season airs. I need it.
Tumblr media
Lucifer's Palace!! When we got the wide-shot of it in s1, you could see that it had a metric shitton of pointed spires. But here, it looks like the palace has seen better days. I'll be interested to see if the palace is crumbling on its own, or if Lucifer themselves ordered/is dismantling the palace themselves. It could go either way imo
Tumblr media
Nada approaching the throne!!!! I hope she doesn't just smack him, but shoves him down the stairs too. ✿\(。-_-。) Kick his ass, queen. I got your flower.
Tumblr media
I was really hoping they'd cut the kiss because seriously. The dude imprisoned her in Hell for over 10,000 years. I don't care if she still somehow loves him, he doesn't deserve it after the way he treated her! But alas.
ETA: Had it pointed out to me this could be part of the flashback for Nada's story and GOD I hope so. Her kissing him after getting out of Hell was one of the worst parts of SoM. Like I literally stopped while I was reading it and was like "Yeah, you can tell this was written by a man."
Tumblr media
I'm, like, 90% sure that's a subway car that's got all that pretty greenery sprouting from it, which makes me think this is possibly from A Game of You.
Tumblr media
I have no idea what this is but it looks rad as hell. There's a shot of the Three immediately following it, but given how cave-like it looks, there's a chance it could be the place where Loki's chained up.
ETA: @cutespiderlucas pointed out that this could be the Underworld/Hades. While that's extremely likely, I don't want to think about that because it makes me sad :')
Tumblr media
Fuck yeah, Gwendoline Christie is back on my screen! I can't wait to see those wings get fucking chopped. It's gonna be so good.
Tumblr media
I have no idea who this is and I can't wait to find out. It's not Dream; the hair is too tame. I'm inclined to say maybe The Corinthian, but it's hard for me to see the eyes, and that outfit makes me have some serious doubts.
ETA: @sweet-like-cinnamon-5 informed me of Azazel's human casting, which I hadn't known about when I first made this post. That's exactly who that is, and I suspect this shot is of Dream returning him back to his true form as a void with eyes and teeth.
And again, I didn't get a cap of this because it would look better in gif form, but the next shot we get is of Azazel eating Dream and it looks so fucking cool. Azazel living my dream of swallowing that man whole.
Tumblr media
JEMMY AND HER BALLOON I AM GOING TO LOSE MY MIND WHEN SHE GIVES IT TO DREAM!!! Also Thor about to beat the fuck out of what looks like Choronzon.
I was going to include that shot of the gatekeepers for no other reason than I thought it looked cool, but apparently the max number of pictures you can put in a tumblr post is 15 :c
But yeah, I'm HELLA excited! I can't wait for July!!!

Ok let's get some of these trailer park Bucky ideas out shall we?
Tumblr media
- This is what I need in my life ☝🏼
- Maybe you live opposite each other and one of you is the new neighbour?
- You could be the newbie maybe and you find he's very helpful when moving boxes.
- You both flirt a little but nothing serious, just a smirk or a touch here and there.
- But alas, nothing happens beyond that, and you settle in to your new home.
☀️
- Ah but perhaps you start noticing that Bucky has a lot of female visitors throughout the week.
- You mostly only see them leaving his place, but occasionally you get a bit more than that.
- From across the way, in the late hours you hear them whimpering and whining as his trailer creaks. You might hear a hand meet ass cheek or a shrill giggle.
- It's a little annoying no infuriating
- But sometimes, if you listen really closely which you'd never admit to you hear him.
- His grunts.
- His groans.
- "That's it. Take it."
- It's the sweetest form of torture and you try to resist but sometimes it just drives you to the edge and you desperately need release, imagining his hot, sweaty body working on you.
☀️
- Perhaps one morning you are sitting out front, reading a book and he appears, waving off another woman who looks satisfied and somewhat disappointed to be sent on her way.
- You smile and try to go back to your book, but he's intrigued. And a tease.
- "Morning sugar."
- "Good mornin Bucky" you reply turning a page you haven't read a word of in your book.
- He pulls up a chair and settles next to you.
- "Wow. Our bedroom windows are pretty close to each other huh?" He remarks, a smile tugging at his lips as you clear your throat.
- "I never noticed" you say, voice clearly strained.
- He stands to leave but first leans down, right by your ear.
- "But I have sweetheart."
☀️
- You spend the rest of the day totally paranoid.
- Had he heard you? Has he seen you?
- You don't hate the idea of him wanting you, but you don't want to be a notch on his belt.
- If he's going to tease, why don't you tease right back?
☀️
- Ice lollies are your weapon of choice.
- You sit in your chair, book open, skirt short, top skimpy and a ice lolly popping lewdly from your mouth.
- He looks like he's leaving but when he catches sight of you he seems to change his mind.
- Instead he sets himself up with a beer and a pack of cigarettes and enjoys the show you e decided to put on.
- Naturally, your plan immediately backfires because damn he looks so hot.
- It's Bucky....
- He distracts you by offering a beer, which you accept once your lolly is finished.
- He distracts you by asking about your book.
- He distracts you by talking about where you are from.
- Before you know it, he's back next to you, you are feeling warm from the beer and you can't help but notice how blue his eyes are.
Tumblr media
- But wait I am getting ahead of myself.
- Because maybe????
- One night after the "sweetheart" incident you see Bucky come home, head into his trailer and open his bedroom window wide.
- You crawl into bed and slowly push your window open, enjoying the cool air streaming into the room.
- "Can you hear me sweet girl?"
- You freeze, sweat springs up on your brow despite the cool air.
- "I know you can baby. God, you should see what you do to me. Fuck."
- Your heart is thumping in your chest. Oh god, he's going to give you a heart attack.
- "You're gonna touch yourself baby girl? Gonna think about what I might do to ya huh?"
- Despite yourself, you find yourself thinking all those things, doing all the things he says as the night goes on.
- It ends with your sweet voice calling out his name in the dark and a deep chuckle from his bedroom window.
☀️
- So...
- with all this in mind....
- After all this teasing and flirting he leans in a presses a soft kiss to your lips.
- "I wanna hear you moan for me baby. Properly this time..."
- He pinches your chin between his fingers and deepens the kiss and you instinctively wrap your arms around him.
- He breaks the kiss with a chuckle.
- "Come on sweetheart, let me give you the tour."
Tumblr media
- The tour takes moments because you want to kiss him. He presses your body up against a wall, you can barely breathe as he dominates your mouth, hands squeezing at your waist.
- Finally you land on the bed, and he growls as your skirt flips up and reveals your skimpy underwear.
- "Such a little tease huh?"
- You watch as he unbuckles his belt, you admire his rings but swiftly get distracted by his thick cock springing towards you.
- He strokes himself but you take over, shimmying forward so you can get nice and close.
- "Oh I see baby girl, not so innocent are we?"
- His grin turns to a growl as your lips wrap around his length, fingers wrapping around what you can't swallow.
- Your chokes fill the room, as he sinks further down your throat, his hand lacing through your hair holding you in place.
- Finally he pulls you off him, smears your spit over your face before pushing you back down onto the bed.
- He rips your underwear and leans over, pushing the fabric into your mouth.
- "You just hold onto those for me sweetheart" he chuckles as he moves your legs, gripping your ankles, pressing a kiss to them as he lines himself up.
- His fat cock slaps against your aching heat. You groan around your underwear, as he rubs against you until suddenly he slides in, filling you, stretching you until your eyes roll.
- "Sweet jesus baby girl. Knew you'd be perfect for me. So tight. Takin me so well baby..."
- He presses your legs back, so he can bring himself closer to you. He pulls the gag from your mouth and presses a kiss to your lips. You try your best to return but you've lost control of pretty much everything.
- All you can feel is his cock stretching you and hitting that point inside that has been neglected for so long.
- "Wanna hear those pretty moans angel. Want everyone to hear you, let them know what a pretty little slut you are. How desperate you are for me, for this."
- He defines the word with a smooth thrust of his hips that draws a long groan from your lips.
- "Thatta girl, just what I wanted."
☀️
- It's hours of endless pleasure.
- He explores your body, working out every pleasure point, finding your secret kinks that you swore no one would ever know.
- His fingers flex in your pussy as he fucks your ass, watching as he spits on your heat. It sends you crashing over the edge again as he rubs it over your heat, a scream leaving you as tears track down your cheeks.
- "Bucky.... I can't... So sensitive" you wail as he slowly continues fucking your ass, a thumb lazily rubbing your swollen clit.
- "Not my fault angel, you can't stop coming for me can ya?"
- He still sounds remarkably put together, but he isn't. He's just as gone as you are, mesmerized by what you can do, what he can pull out of you.
- Laying out before him, you are divine.
- Your legs tremble as another wave of pleasure rips through you and it drags him with you.
- Your walls pulse and squeeze as you emit a long weak cry. It mixes with his groan, a loud curse slips from his lips as he fills you up, again.
- Finally he crashes down, dragging you in close as exhaustion takes over your body.

Trailer park Steve AU part 21
part 1 | part 20 | ao3
“Right?” Steve asks, scratching his head as he glances back at the door.
“No, I meant you, dingus! What the fuck was that with you?”
Steve feels his face go hot. “What? What do you mean?”
She throws her hands in the air, stomping over so she can get in his face and say, “Don’t ‘what do you mean’ me. Your faces” —she lifts her hands like she’s about to applaud, palms hovering an inch apart— “were like thiiis close to just…”
She claps them together, and Steve feels the blood drain right back out of his face, dread pooling in his gut as she twists her palms this way and that, like two people tilting their heads to kiss deeper. Oh, god. Oh, god. Were they—?
“Mwah,” Robin says helpfully, mashing her hands more tightly together. “Mwah mwah mwah mwah—”
Steve grabs her by the wrist. “Dude. Stop.”
She drops her hands and stares at him — one of those Detective Buckley looks, combing over every inch of his soul for missed clues — and then her mouth does some horribly self-satisfied thing that he hates. “If I didn’t know any better,” she draws, “I’d say someone has a crush.”
I’d say someone has a crush someone has a crush someone has a crush someone has a
Steve’s gonna pass out. The words feel like bile in his brain, acidic and sharp; like puking right after chugging a glass of orange juice. It’s not like he’s—
Look, he knows that he’s— but—
The bell dings. Thank fucking Christ. A big family group, three generations of people talking and laughing and fussing over a baby in a stroller and carrying leftovers from the Italian place down the strip.
Steve sags in relief.
Robin hisses in his ear, “We are so not done talking about this.”
He doesn’t want to talk about it.
About Eddie, about the word Robin lobbed at him like a lit bottle rocket, about any of it.
Just thinking about it is giving him a stomach ulcer and a migraine and maybe an aneurysm, too.
He was hoping he made that obvious enough during the last hour of their shift that Robin would just drop it, but that girl has never dropped a single thing in her life. Worse than Nancy, the little bloodhound. Steve saw this documentary once about crocodiles; remembers how they can lock their jaws shut after clamping down on their prey with up to 4000 PSI of pressure.
That’s enough pressure to cut a person’s arm off with a jet of water.
Damn, nature’s cool.
“Steve!”
You know who’s not cool?
“Steve!” Robin hollers again over the song he’s currently blasting to drown her out on the drive home. “Steve, you can’t use ABBA against me like this!”
Steve ignores her protests, responds by shout-singing “DIGGING THE DANCING QUEEN, OOH OOOOOH” at her in his most nasal falsetto because he absolutely can and will use ABBA against her like this, and it works like a charm. He’s pretty sure this song has, like, hypnotic power over her or something, because every time without fail she gives the answering “ooh-oo-oo-ooh-ooh-oooooh” as if on auto-pilot.
“HEY!” she shouts when she realizes what she’s doing. “No sir!” She reaches over and mashes the volume button.
Silence falls over the car. Sucks the air out of Steve’s lungs in the sudden void; his ears adjust slowly, picking up the quiet thrum of the engine, the whispered whoosh of the wind outside. Is he ever going to get used to being kind-of-sort-of-deaf? This shit sucks.
“...Okay, look,” Robin says tentatively. She’s staring at the side of his head, and he keeps his eyes on the road; tightens his grip on the wheel. “We don’t have to talk about you, okay?”
“There’s nothing to talk about with me.”
“Right!” she rushes to agree. Playing along like they don’t both know that’s bullshit. “Totally.”
Steve risks a glance at her. Her expression is earnest, some full-paragraph silent communication like: whatever bathroom-floor-confessional crisis you’re having, we can leave it alone for now. We can let it stay hidden in the dark corners for a little longer; I promise I’ll put my flashlight down.
“Totally,” Steve echoes, nodding at her.
“Okay. Cool. Cool…”
She lets out a long breath, cheeks puffing out as she sits on her hands. Oh, my god, just spit it out. “Can we please talk about him, though?”
