The Adventures of Baron Munchausen (1989). An account of Baron Munchausen's supposed travels and fantastical experiences across late 18th-century Europe with his band of misfits.

Bonkers and full of imagination in a way that it feels you don't really get much of anymore. The practical effects here are what really make the movie a visual innovation, but the plot and performances are pretty fun too. Really feels like the most Monty Python work of the post-Monty Python era output. 8/10.

Sidenoteeeeeee, in regards to the alleged strong overlap between TBHK and Alien Stage (YouTube series) fans, I wanted to ask if it was true.

While I make art for myself, if it’s something everyone doesn’t know/care much about, I’ll just prioritize other ideas I want equally as much! Cause while I create for myself, if more people can be happy along with me then I wanna do that.

I will be revising the world building, storylines, and replacing aliens with supernaturals among other changes. There will also be a MitsuKou comic cause I had a hella (hella) vision and despite not being a big MitsuKou shipper, I can’t deny the prophecy.

Ships featured will be AoiNene, HanaNene, MitsuKou, AoKane, TeruKane, SakuNatsu, etc. Their requited-ness will be up for interpretation so more people can enjoy! You should know my biases though (wiggles eyebrows).

There will also be a strong Tsukasa presence for my tumblr bestie (@makshu)! As well cameos for more of the TBHK cast!

Unfortunately, no animatics. Just comics & art. But maybe one day or if it’s in enough demand.

The Clan of the Cave Bear (1986). A young Cro-Magnon woman is raised by Neanderthals.

Not even sure what to say about this one other than it's a mess from start to finish. It feels pretty transparently like an attempt to capitalise on the success and cultural legacy of Quest for Fire five years earlier, but Michael Chapman is no Jean-Jacques Annaud. It's clunky, misogynistic, and the worst thing cinema can be - boring. 2/10.

I love ep 35 of steeplechase so much! Beef with his beautiful speech about how he wouldn’t hesitate to protect someone. “I would do it again in less than a heartbeat. My impulse will ALWAYS be to take the hit.” Emerich natch being awkward and fumbling but genuine. Because he literally does have so much empathy, especially for non (traditionally) living things. and then Montrose is just like. Oh no. Oh I am not made for this. Better lie through my teeth! …what do you mean that didn’t work. Ahem. Viva la revolution, anyone?
