🥹 Nico being so shy and nervous when he and Lewis first go home with Toto, but he's such a sweet, affectionate little thing, and when Toto offers him snuggles with soft blankets and a cup of cocoa with giant marshmallows he can't resist. Toto is so warm and cuddly, Nico loves snuggling with him, even if Lewis refuses.

Lewis is much slower to trust Toto, afraid that he's going to send one or both of them back or that he'll hurt them. The boys have their own rooms in Toto's house but for the first few months they sleep together, and Lewis makes sure that he's closer to the door than Nico. It's difficult for him when Nico starts to cling to Toto, wanting to go out with him to work or to the supermarket, and when he clings to Toto's hand as they walk home from school or to the park instead of Lewis'. He gets a bit sulky about it sometimes, and it's only when Nico cries because he thinks Lewis is mad at him that Lewis snaps out of it and begins to make an effort with Toto. He's so surprised to find that Toto is very gentle, and always listens thoughtfully to what Lewis has to say. Nico is so happy because they're his two favourite people, and the first time that Lewis invites Toto to share their nest, which Nico has worked on meticulously, Nico hugs Lewis so tight.

Oh plss!

Nico being so small, smaller than Lewis, qnd is just a tiny angelic looking thing with huge blue eyes! He is so clearly a little Omega and he just wants to be safe and be cuddled 🥹

Toto one day making hot chocolate with big marshmallows and asking Nico and Lewis if they wants to watch a movie Nico carefully curls up to him snd squeaks so happily when Toto pulls a blanket around him and noses him a little. Lewis isn't so sure, sitting on one of the cosy chairs anf being a little grumpy nico isn't cuddling him!

Lewis being so distrustful! He is sure they will be send back or separated and he doesn't want to trust Toto at all even though it looks so cosy to snuggle up to him

Lewis always protecting Nico, sleeping between Nico snd the door and he will wake up at the smallest sound. He struggles eeing Nico trust Toto so easily, seeing Nico want his attention. Nivo asking to go with Toto to the supermarket and holding his hand when rhey are walking somewhere and Lewis just feels so insecure cos what if Nico doesn't want him anymore now!

Nico bursting out into tears one day because he wants to cuddle with Toto but he thinks Lewy is mad and he doesn't like that...

Lewis starting to make an effort for Nico and is surprised to find Toto so nice and gentle, always listening to Lewis and his opinions and knowing how to calm Lewis when he is upset! Also Toto starting to gentle playfight with Lewis and Lewis loves it cos it's so fun! Nico doesn't like playfighting as much but Toto let hin growl and pounce and he gets cuddles at the end!

Self-sufficient organic Finnish farm grows its own fuel and a greener future

An award-winning farm has teamed up with Helsinki University to create a symbiotic food production system that is self-sufficient in energy and nutrients. It’s a trailblazer in sustainable agriculture.

Organic Knehtilä Farm provides its own nutrients and energy, thanks to careful long-term planning and a small onsite biogas plant operated by energy utility Nivos.

The biogas powers his tractor, pickup truck and cars, and is available to others at a commercial filling station on the edge of the farm, although vehicles that can use biogas are still relatively rare. It offers a valuable alternative to meet the growing need for affordable, clean domestic energy.

Demand for organic food continues to grow. “The price gap between organic and standard production is narrowing, partly because we don’t need fertiliser. Our farm has its own product line of oat and buckwheat products, which are produced here using a proven cultivation method known as agroecological symbiosis, where nutrients and energy are efficiently recycled.”

The sprawling 380-hectare farm’s carefully balanced circular economy has developed over a decade and a half, earning a WWF award in 2015 as a model of nature-friendly agriculture. In 2021, the Finnish Organic Association chose Knehtilä for the honour of Organic Business of the Year.

“Biogas production can convert farms from being energy consumers to energy producers, and play an important role in the transition away from fossil fuels. When it’s done in a smart way, it’s also possible to increase biodiversity in farming systems.”

Knehtilä forms part of the Global Network of Lighthouse Farms, a project led by Wageningen University in the Netherlands, involving commercially viable farms that offer “radical solutions to address sustainability challenges.” International visitors frequently come to Knehtilä to learn about unique system.

The rich, vibrant cycle of life at Knehtilä is visible in not only the lush fields, but also in the insects and frogs that frequent them, and in a few animals such as horses, sheep, goats, chickens and rabbits. The farm is also a lively event venue; a high-ceilinged, 80-year-old barn has been converted to a space for up to 100 people for weddings, theatre performances and concerts.

Human: Tell me general, how goes your civil war?

Nivo: We shall soon overthrow the corrupt council and restore order to our world and our people.

Human: Oh?

Human: Then I must congratulate you!

Human: As my information says you will lose in six months if things do not change.

Nivo: LIES! *Smashes fists against table*

Human: There is no need for the acting and bravado with me, general.

Human: I am not one of your soldiers who need their spirits lifted by your defiant speeches.

Nivo: We shall not be defeated by those vile snakes!

Nivo: Our cause is just and noble; we will never surrender!

Human: A rather moot rationality, considering your enemy is not excepting surrender at this time.

Nivo: This discussion is quickly becoming less amusing by the moment, so speak quickly.

Human: *Sighs, puts out cigarette*

Human: Let it not be said that you and your followers are not dedicated and courageous warriors.

Human: The ruling council of yours has long since abused your people and it was only a matter of time until a breaking point was crossed.

Human: But what you lack are the tools to break the chains they have wrapped your people in.

Human: *Taps table*

*Two humans approach out of darkness and set a crate down on the table before retreating*

Nivo: What is this?

Human: *Stands up and pops lid off crate*

Human: The tools of your freedom.

*Reaches into box and pulls out energy assault rifle*

Human: What I have here is the Mark VII Continental.

Human:  Carries a sixty round energy capacity with on the fly recharge, each round capable of piercing through an energy barrier of 1.5 frequency or a solid six feet of reinforced concrete.

Human: *Tosses it to Nivo who catches it midair in one hand*

Human: These babies make your current arsenal look like children’s toys.

Nvio: *Angry grunts but inspects the weapon nonetheless.*

*After a few moments passes it behind him to one of his waiting men*

Human: Don’t be shy, plenty to go around.

*flips over crate and several more rifles spill out across the table*

Nivo: This is what you brought me here for?

Nivo: A crate of weapons?

Human: No.

Human: A sample of what is to come.

Human: *Reaches into coat and removes data pad, sliding it over to Nivo*

Human: My associates are willing to supply you, your men, and anyone else you deem worthy; with the weapons and necessities needed to win this righteous war.

Nivo: *Takes up data pad and scrolls through items*

Nivo: Impressive.

Nivo: But if we truly are losing, why sell to us?

Nivo: As you said we are on the verge of falling and have little in means to pay you.

Human: *Chuckles* We know this, but fortunately for you my associates are not looking for monetary compensation for these items.

Nivo: Then what?

Human: There is an island in your southern hemisphere; rather desolate place isolated by miles of ocean in every direction.

Nivo: What of it?

Human: When you achieve victory we want you to cede that island to our control to manage and govern as we see fit.

Nivo: What use would it be for you?

Human: That is not your concern.

Nivo: You ask me to sell sovereign lands of my people and think I am desperate enough not to ask why?

Human: *Pauses, paces away from table before turning around*

Human: The truth then?

Nivo: The truth.

Human: We have little care for you or your war.

Human: You can grind yourself into dust and be scattered to the winds by your enemies and we would not lift a finger in contempt.

Human: But what we do care about are your neighbors.

Nivo: Neighbors?

Human: The Talayan Empire and the Rembar Republic.

Human: You see they we are concerned about and are very much interested in keeping an eye on.

Human: They’ve made some rather inciting remarks that have made my associates nervous.

Nivo: What does that have to do with my people?

Human: Your council refused our previous offer to establish a listening post on the island; going so far as to ban us from your space entirely.

Nivo: So your truth is made clear.

Nivo: You seek only your own betterment by supporting my cause.

Human: Is that so wrong?

Human: You obtain your freedom and we get our small island; everyone wins.

Nivo: And what is to stop me from simply denying you your prize after we win?

Human: *Chuckles* We both know you are a warrior of honor and would never break your word.

Human: Likewise you are a being of common sense and realize the folly of such a betrayal.

Nivo: *looks confused at remark*

Human: If my associates have access to this type of hardware and are willing to dispense it so freely to help a potential ally, what do you think they would do to a hated enemy?

Nvio: *silent*

Human: There is no need to dwell on distasteful possibilities.

Human: For the price of one island you can have the better future you have dreamed of for you and your people.
