Finally, here is the character design sheet for the main character of my new comic project, Necromancer. Her name is Valis.

I'll share more about what a Necromancer is in this comic universe and how she fits in with that later. Text description:

Ghosts, Death, and Magic:

Klarion followed the new but powerful magical aura he had been feeling; it had already been a few years since he noticed it. But never had time to search for it.

It was Death Magic = a Necromancer!

It took him not long to find it; the city was full of it! But the core was this tall boy.

Danny was interested as he saw what his abilities had attracted to Amity Park. Klarion the Witchboy didn't cause any harm in Amity Park, so he didn't attack him.

The same was true for the rest of Amity Park. They don't seem to care that a famous villain was in their town, and then again, they all hate the Justice League. After five years of being ignored, it does that to them.

He was kind of cute, as Danny then showed Klarion around.

Klarion had no idea what happened; one moment he was in this city and found the necromancer. Next thing he is taken out to dinner date and people don't fear him? I mean, he is pretty famous in the world for his attacks, and his face is in the news.

The Necromancer's parents hugged him without fear and gave him a room to stay in.

The Necromancer whoes name was Daniel could talk in a languages that had died out; it had been a long time since he spoke Latin with someone. Even if it was more flirting.

And this was how Klarion used Amity Park as a vacation spot where he could just chill.

A few times he used magic to help them, and he is liked in Amity Park more than any other hero.

One thing The Necromancer did not expect when reviving Chartreuse as his servant: He is one needy dog.

Cryptid Batfam is really fun, but I feel like everyone’s missing out on Cryptid versions of the batfam’s lovers. You don’t understand, I need the their lovers to be worse. I need the goons of Gotham to be afraid of the shadows and to be just as afraid of what casts the shadows.

Tribute to Barcus' multi-exlodey arrow glitch before it got fixed. Greygold wouldn't have been able to look badass blowing up all the near-impenetrably questionable glowey pillars in one turn without them.

I think Raphael's song ended in the me-trying-to-aim wait-time-mode by then but in-reality 6-second-turn-wise, I like to think the song stopped because he was dumbfounded.

Greygold respects all forms of art, especially when it allows them the opportunity to wreck your shit.

New comic idea

Hello everyone out there in Tumblr land. I've been quiet lately for several reasons - one of them is brainstorming a new comic idea!

The premise is new but the world isn't - I created the world it will take place in with a friend of mine years ago. It's a sword and sorcery fantasy world with a lot of dark/horror elements.

I hope to share my drawings and ideas here and maybe even something finished someday.

The working title of the comic is "Necromancer" and the main characters are a female Necromancer (which in this world is a kind of mage knight), a reptilian humanoid shapeshifter, and a few others.

Not sure what's addressed in canon about Danny's job duties as Ghost King (and it's been too long since I've seen the show that I don't remember much anyhow). But I like to think that part of his duties is helping any ghosts in the various universes who are stuck (for whatever reason they have keeping them there) move on and properly join The Infinite Realms. A job that has been seriously neglected, both by Pariah Dark when he wasn't in the Infinite Nap time Coffin and later by the Observants.

Only issue is, he keeps getting mistaken for a necromancer. Since he's trying to be incognito and goes most places in his human form. But looking human and essentially raising ghosts doesn't help his case. At least until JLD are called in for the current universe he's in (since most of the people trying to "stop" him aren't particularly magically inclined). Constantine takes one look at Danny and just kinda nopes out of there, cuz he ain't about to fuck with the Ghost King doing one of his more important duties (which also helps them out too. Having less angry spirits that're stuck here).

JLD does give him a some sort of way to signal in other universes that he's allowed to be there and do what he's doing (and that he isn't a necromancer) to those who aren't able to tell who he is. Tho this doesn't always stop some universes from calling on their JLD. Who mostly just roll their eyes at being sent to something that's not a threat, or take it as a minor vacation from more stressful things.

As you stand on the vast moorland, near where the hills end and the bog starts, your mind rushes with anticipation. Today, you are going to RAISE THE DEAD!!!

… More specifically, you’re going to try necromancy on some dead frogs. You’ve been practicing for months, and now that you’re 12 years old, you feel like you should at least be able to make small animal skeletons move. 

First, you’ll need to find some bones. 

All you need to do is search the large, carnivorous pitcher plants and sundews that grow in the area. There are a lot of plants, so it would be easier if you had someone to help you search. This is where your pet golem, Pete, will come in handy. You like to mold him into a different shape every time you remake him.
