I did do a fic like this here, but I am trying to start rewriting my old work in hopes to make them better 🤞

I think at the beginning he is going try and hate you. If his sister dislikes you it must be for a good reason. It will be in fact solely due to the fact that the volturi took you in almost instantly due to your own gift (anything mental, asphyxiation, matter manipulation, literally anything)

In fact he will be straight up cruel to you, and if he is extremely attracted or interested he will ignore you entirely

You have to offer no reaction or they will think they are in the right.

He would definitely not admit to Jane that he likes you in any way

He’s listening to your conversations, waiting for anything to prove you couldn’t possibly be as amazing as everyone seems to think.

But as he waits and waits he doesn’t see anything that would give him an actual reason to hate you

So he slowly starts to be in the same areas, at first he only speaks to the others. He finds he’s annoyed you aren’t speaking to him, but soon Jane comes and throws more vitriol your way and he sees why you would be wary.

He hates that when he goes near you you leave if there’s no one around, and he hates even more that you’re all he thinks about when he’s alone.

He eventually decides to at least try and be cordial when he is around you and see if anything changes

You only offer short responses, why would trust anything he says right now. You try to not let his hurt expression get to you, neither of them has been shy about threatening to use their abilities on you. They were lucky you didn’t use your own gifts on them for all the shit talking they did

Unfortunately one of these curt responses is caught by Jane, “I suggest you be more respectful to my brother.”

You roll your eyes and continue about your business, you’re surprised when you hear Alex speak up, “sister please. Everything is fine.”

“I don’t need you to fight my battles.” You start to walk away but then the pain wracks your body somewhere you hear a voice

“Jane. Enough.” Alec fails to hide the urgency in his voice. Jane stops immediately and while she knew some of the others would check on her Alec being the first next to her, the concern on his eyes infuriated her. She believed you were a poison. First the leaders and now her brother

Unfortunately for Jane this is probably when you’ve had enough and you give her a taste of her own medicine and when Alex says nothing to this well… the only reason she doesn’t try to kill you is because of the leaders fr

After that Alex apologizes for his part in what happened, and you decide to try and let him in, after all maybe he can help you not have Jane hate your guts

He starts putting more of an effort and as much as you’re wary he can be very charming and you can “fix” him

Then as for dating it’s mostly this once he is comfortable

Jane doesn’t try anything as long as Alec is there besides glare at you but Alec is hardly ever not with you and he knows he to have an arm around you and glares back. Jane is tempted to use her gift on him a few times but she knows better

The siblings have several arguments but at the end of the day you’re off limits now. He does try and get her to apologize but for awhile the best you’re going to get is indifference from her.

You’re going to have to save Alec’s life before she considers you a person so sorry, but while Alec still loves his sister he’s been waiting for and dreaming of a connection like this his whole life

He never thought anyone would see him as anything more than a witch twin and he is obsessed with you

So I recently watched the entirety of Lolirock

And it was... Okayish

The story itself wasn't bad, but a lot of it feels very incomplete.

So let's break down a few points:

Story:

The story itself wasn't too bad. I liked a lot of the ideas. But since this is directed to a younger audience, a lot of story plot was very predictable sadly enough.

And it didn't bother me that much that Iris was in the centerstage most of the time. Unlike later season Bloom, the creators didn't make things that aren't related to Iris about Iris. There were a few moments yes, but I never thought "wait, why is it about Iris, it's not about her!" Unlike (sadly) with Bloom in Winx where she gets the Spotlight for no reason

Princesses:

I do really like the transformation and animations for the princesses. Although I do feel odd about Lyna and Carrisa having different animations and songs. They look good, but since they don't have a similar transformation like Iris, Thalia and Auriana, I feel like it just says that they aren't part of the group. Which is kinda true since they are absent for 75% of the time in season 2. (Fr, where are these two the entire time?)

And I get Iris is the main character and all, but the creators make Talia and Auriana look so useless and weak for most of the time. And then Talia is able to beat their asses on her own, yet struggled to do so five minutes before.

Also Talia is the best, defo my fave from all of them.

Magic and Ephidia:

Similar to the story: it felt incomplete. Like things aren't being explained:

What's Ephidia? Is it a continent, is it the capital city? Who created it, what's so special about it?

What are the oracle gems exactly? Are they amplifiers or a key, WHAT ARE THEY? and why do they only show up in front of Iris? Is it cus she's the crown princess or why? Who knows: things aren't getting explained.

And how does the magic work? Is it just crystals? Can they use elemental powers as well? We see them use levitation and time spells as well soooooooooo?

And what about Dark magic? Do you have to be born from it, is it an emotion you redirect, how does if work?

And can we talk about Iris's different transformations? They look epic af but.... How? Can only she do it? What exactly is it? Like a different stage or is it a temporary a power up? Can other princesses do them as well or not?

And what exactly is Amaru? A dog, a pegasus? A shapeshifter animal? How does his magic work? Why can he summon a giant battlefield out of nowhere?

And what about the other magic kingdoms? We only saw a tiny bit of Xeris, but what about the others?

I wish they not only explained a little more about the magic, but also showed us more about the magical world. By doing that, it feels more alive, more

He's being portraited as this all mighty powerful wizard but then he just sits in the throne room doing God knows what, maybe looking at tarot cards with Banes who knows....

He doesn't do anything, just screams when an oracle gem gets to the crown, and yells at Praxina and Mephisto bc they are so 'useless'

If they are so terrible at their job and you are "oh so powerful":

Worldbuilding has always been something I wish TWST had a better grasp at, so an event exploring Reptilian culture sounds amazing. Both Cecil and Nyoka being placed on retail though lmao (I'm trying to imagine how Cecil/Nyoka will handle a potential "Karen" Mob student) And lastly the Emilio One! I remember seeing Marisol in the Magicam posts, The whole carnaval event got me even more curious about her.(Admittedly I never got to continue sofia the first when Elena was revealed so I'm just reading off of the wiki to compare the parallels lmao)

THANKS THERES LIKE A MILLION ALLUSIONS as a result of rewatching all of these things with @/oddberryshortcake. I think that’s what a five day a week 9-5 does to a persons mind. Dont get me wrong fr, I think TWSTS worldbuilding scratches my itch in being just vague enough in a “just go with it” way to work with and I like that sort of shrugging off way of going about it, but other times I’ll hit random walls.

I can’t even say what country Emilio’s homeland is attached to because that unknown “central/south america” parallel country within TWST hasn’t even been revealed yet (I think it’s inevitable one will be name dropped since there isn’t a lack of films per se, we just haven’t been exposed to that information by circumstance of the current cast. It’s like how Port O’ Bliss infers a “north america” if not only a 1920s aesthetic new orleans parallel existing but it makes me kinda brrrr. That, and the way the game updates doesn’t lend itself to much exposure of other info at a consistent rate.)

It’s still gonna be separate regardless since it’s just an Avalor equivalent and all it’s worldbuilding will focus on that, but it doesn’t help. It is a peninsula after all lol, it’s attached to something. Lmao

I kinda hate being stuck using real life countries to make my point cuz I know it’s just the films as primary inspiration and the settings those are set in are kind of window dressing to inform the aesthetics of the fictional TWST world. We only have a single corner of their world mapped. We still don’t know where exactly Scalding Sands is even geographically located actually lol.

And I don’t care what anyone says about the manga, anthology and novels because whatever world-building is in those has been shown to overlap consistently. iF I LEARN NEW INFORMATION FROM ANY OF THOSE, IT LIKELY APPLIES TO THE MAIN STUFF. Novel was first to reveal the roommate situations year to year before it ever got stated in-game.

Call it my Dragon Ball ptsd though cuz whenever someone calls these things “non canon” I get an automatic reaction. Once someone reads that phrase people tend to dismiss it entirely. This stuff isn’t any less invaluable with it’s information regardless of what it is. At least, to me it isn’t.

- Finding out on instagram about the pregnancy is insane i would have to be put down. Surely azzi did not find out about the wedding over instagram…surely……pls…..

- “the first thing you’re gonna see is your smile. And you’re gonna think it’s the most beautiful thing in the world. Just like I do” Paige’s way with words…Paige just can’t help it but ur heart breaks for azzi having to hear such beautiful things from her EX

Drew is so absolutely done with these two dumbasses and had to make it very clear. I think Paige-Azzi were such an example to him and to have that taken has really made him cautious about love at the very raw age of 20 (that's how old he'd be in 2033 right?)

Paige always says the right things, the timing just isn't always the right one.

AH omg honestly it means much to me that you think my dialogues are realistic. Especially ones like that one where it's kinda heavy, I'm always a little self-conscious that maybe it sounds too speech-y and fake so I'm so glad it doesn't come off that way.

I think Steph and Azzi grew pretty close before Stephie because he was already her mentor but once she actually got to Golden State, he really took her under her wing and became more family than just mentor (Steph possibily teared up at the idea of Azzi naming her daughter after him)

The thing with Azzi, I think, is that she's a little scared to be loved. Like Azzi holds both Paige and Stephie's hand in the palm of her hands, and she's scared that she'll accident hold them too hard and crush them.

We did not. After that he was still trying to see me and apologize, AND HE WAS STILL MARRIEDDD UGHH WHY ARE MEN LIKE THIS??? Two weeks later my period was late and I found out I was pregnant…yup…that motherfucker knocked me up😭😭

Her outfit could use some cold colors aside from her hair. While this is nothing I could imagine s1-3 Musa genuinely wearing it looks good

Stella looks like a sunset and I LOVE!! The shawl, the colors, the armor, the wings, the everything it's like a sun set!!! I wish there was more blue, and not ice blue?? Like use a cyan or something, but her hair. But the hair. I've been getting use to to it but I hate it. I'm always obsessed with Stella in purple so this, I love the magenta

4) Flora

Oof, those wings. Poor girl. And that top?? Helppppp. The shawl looks the best on her tho tbh, and her flower skirt + vine heels combo is cute. I like the flowers on her heels and in her hair, love seeing new hairstyles for Flora she looks so great. Her crown also looks so cute and personalized, love love. The heart leaf print on her leggings is so fucking adorable. Just that top, why??

5) Aisha

Aisha looks?? Fine. I hate the boob armor. They put literally zero effort into her wings and leggings. Her shawl is unique and interesting. They somehow decided that she needed to have lighter, nearly ginger, hair and with s8 I can only assume that's with bad intentions. Her wrist cuffs look super cool, her skirt looks awful, the collar of her top looks amazing, she has two weird tiny ass forward facing ponytails on the front of her head that I SWEAR no one else has noticed. It's solidly mid and not Sirenix

Please note that the TWO times they've changed Aisha's hair color for a transformation they made her blonde and a red head

6) Tecna

They put Tecna who wore a full body suit in magic winx when everyone else was wearing crop tops and mini skirts in a sweater, a UGLY sweater with an evil neckline at that, in the armor transformation???? The disrespect! Also they gave the fuck up on her wings

At least the legging patterns are nice, like the heels too, the shawl is basically a worse version of Aisha's and I can't decide if I love or hate the hair but I'll take it

Fontaine Archon Quest Act 1 + 2 Spoilers beneath the cut!!! 👾 anon and 🎺 anon i responded to you here :) (Also lots of talking about Arlie because I LOVE HER)

I've also gone through Lyney and Lynette's character stories/voice lines regarding Arlecchino (and a rough translation of Freminet's) and I completely agree! To be completely honest she seems more nicer than I thought she'd be. Of course, she's still strict and evil but she still has standards and seems to care for the siblings to some extent. One of the lines I found most interesting was "Perhaps the most amazing aspect of Lyney's Founding Day magic show was its ability to have even "Father" lay down her heavy burden and enjoy a brief moment of familial love." I didn't expect her to have such a close connection with the siblings. Plus, when she denied giving Lyney a Delusion and also allowed Lynette to keep a box of cats? Loved that. She can be cruel and mean but she does have some sort of heart left. Not to mention Arlie's confirmed to be from Fontaine. I hope we learn her real name soon! Totally with you there with her being soft only for reader ❤️ She has the ability to be kind but expresses it in perhaps an unconventional way. Even when she's being soft she doesn't know exactly how to act. Really looking forward to her in-game appearance!!

FR I LOVE THE SIBLINGS SOOO MUCH 😭💖💖 (Freminet was robbed of screentime though) AND YES ARLECCHINO I LOVE HER 😭 Ugh I can totally imagine that <3 Arlie shows her kindness in a stern and strict way but you're the complete opposite. You can't fathom being cold to these little cuties! You're the affectionate one and while Arlie does scold you a bit about spoiling them too much she can't get too mad because at least you can handle all the mushy stuff which she cannot do very well. I'm now brainrotting about the kids seeing you and Arlie argue and becoming scared for your relationship and trying to get the two of you to reconcile 😭 I'm literally bouncing in excitement for 4.1 i want to see her so bad!!

Moving on to me just talking about the quests. Did anyone else feel a bit upset at Traveler for how they treated Lyney and Lynette at the end?? I did considering everything the twins went through. I understand the Traveler not trusting the Fatui but they were literally holding onto Childe's Vision in that moment?😭 Besides that little piece, these two Archon quests were really solid and lots of fun. Was also surprised how many serious topics were put into it too. Usually they leave the dark stuff for side/world quests.

Navia. Definitely an amazing character i loved her in the quests. Really beautiful, great personality, and i love her two bodyguards. Her voice while yelling at Neuvillette was really raw 🥺 Also loving Furina a lot. I didn't expect her to be insecure of herself. Seems like her confidence is just a facade for her people's sake. Y'all already know how I feel about Neuvillette haha i didn't expect him to be so emotional but I'm loving him so much! (I love everyone lemme just stop repeating myself 😭)

But damn being dissolved into water is so grim 😭 Imagine just being Fontanian and all of a sudden you learn you could simply dissolve and no one would ever know. I'd literally be so scared that i could die at any time 😭

EDIT: I CANT BELIEVE I FORGOT TO TALK ABOUT CHILDE IM SO DONE. IM SO SORRY CHILDE LOVERS I GOT TOO SWEPT BY ARLIE. Anyway. Childe was so freaking cute. He is the kind of guy who would tell you every little detail no matter how minuscule it is about his siblings. Teucer told him about something that happened to him? Okay now you're getting the same story but more drawn about and longer because Childe can't help babbling about his family.

I know people are clowning on Childe for getting beat by Neuvillette but give my man some credit 😭 He managed to scratch A DRAGON THATS IMPRESSIVE OKAY.
