I’m still not over the fact that when the female characters finally got screentime, it wasn’t from Viv or in the main series.

The short is nice. I’m happy we learned something about Millie and Sallie but it doesn’t matter in the long run when the main series will never bother to flesh out the both of them or topics in the short.

Y'all will see Moxxie show a character flaw hes had before but this time its explicitly stated how it affects someone other than himself and inmediately jump at his throat like he just became a bioterrorist.

Like damn dude not to be an asshole but you either want complex characters or "perfect uwu soft do nothing wrong" characters, you can't have both tho you gotta pick a side, and I am glad the staff consistely chooses the option that makes for a story more interesting than a fuckin Coffee Shop AU.

been thinking a lot about moxxi lately and i actually love her so much. like

i love her silly jokes you would usually expect from a middle schooler and not a grown ass woman and i love how she giggles right after them

i love when she’s doing her mechanical stuff and you can see that this is a hobby she enjoys so so so much and actually knows her shit, talking in these smart technical terms

i love when she sings this little song of hers in the garage during her spare time when no one sees her and not really caring if she’s hitting these notes or not

i love when you can hear the intensity of emotions in her voice - like her anger at the hodunks’ clan for scarring her for life or her worry about tim when pretty boy captures him - actually, my favorite thing ever is when she lets her “sexy mask” slip off completely and just says whatever the fuck she feels like saying

i love that you can see how much she cares about her children, risking her own life at a very young age to make sure their lives would be better

i love how casually she says that she went to dinner with tim - who looked very much like jack - only because she was hungry and doesn’t make a big deal out of it - because of course she would’ve easily defended herself if needed

i love when in bl3 she lets herself a bit of a break and does a little dance in her bar for a few secons before returning to the businesswoman persona

i love how she straight-up doesn’t give a fuck aboud dead bodies laying around her bar when you first meet her in bl1, doing some hat tricks and talking nonchalantly to you about the next mission and where to find athena

and i love how she’s actually so into watching vault hunters fight - like literally giggling and cheering for them - because hey! violence is fun especially when it’s done against the bad guys

i just love moxxi so, so much, especially in these blink-and-you-miss-it moments when she shows her true self

I love how Viv and Adam try to pull the “be patient we’re only on season two” card, as if they didn’t write three fucking Stolitz centric episodes in a row, and used the time they actually DID have to develop Millie poorly. You had the opportunity and time to develop her in S1E5. You had the time to develop her in episode S1E6. You have the time to develop her in “Ex’s and Ooh’s”, but you’re so focused on pointless filler to pat out the runtime, unfunny sex jokes, and characters you care more about, which are Mox, Blitz, and Stolas, mainly Blitz and Stolas, characters that keep popping up in almost every fucking episode because you can’t take your attention away from them for one second. I’m sick of everyone using the “we’re only on season 2” card, Viv and Adam had plenty of opportunities to focus on her or expand her further but chose not to. I don’t care if we’ll “eventually” get A Millie centric episode, that doesn’t take away the fact that characters like Blitz and Stolas keep getting COUNTLESS episodes where they’re the focus, and Millie has gotten 0 so far. We legit have ANOTHER upcoming Stolas episode with Andrealphus and Striker, so Yayy. Having 1 episode about Millie isn’t a flex guys. Stop ignoring your obvious and blatant favoritism.

I started watching Helluva Boss mainly because I see the fics all the time on AO3 and went Okay Why Not let's go see what this is about and working my way through the first season, and my thoughts so far are: it's okay, but this feels like a show I would've enjoyed a lot more if I was in my teens.
