A Mork Bork adventure!

Not Signalis related but something still survival horror. I am doing a kickstarter to finance the printing of an adventure for the TTRPG Mork Borg.

It is a bout a Sphinx who hide in a frozen dungeon and who can grant wishes.

The 🟨Cube had been waiting for Eons in that Tomb, dust created from organic matter neatly avoiding it’s faces—debris and rock that have collapsed from above somehow not burying it—waiting and waiting for the right mortal fool to see such a bright ‘treasure’ for the taking.

I still have a bunch of Apocrypha Now’s Yellow Cube heads laying around, was fiddling with random pieces, Badsquiddo minis and anything really off and on for the last year. I came across that interesting base piece and immediately I started thinking of a temple thing, literally every single piece (including the base) are leftover bits from my bits box and I glued together this eldritch horror pretty quickly—with only a little bit of fine tuning. I decided, today, to make a post about the game that started it all. And by it I mean, started Mork Borg and all that have used its game mechanics. (also the indie TTRPG that got me interested in the concept of Non-D&D tabletop systems)

If you haven’t played Mork Borg, you really should. It is great for a quick and dirty game, thrown together. But I could definitely live here for a while, doing a long campaign here would be great too. Expanding the nearly obvious conspiracy behind the basilisks and maybe even giving the players an opportunity to forestall the end of everything.

Recently, my friends and I have started working our way through all the TTRPGs we own. Mork Borg was the first. We all survived! And sort of made friends with a crystal demon who saved us in the end.

I’d love to, one day, do a fictional play… as in, write down a game of Mork Borg or other TTRPGs as if it were a story. Like an actual play… but… fictional… Remember folks, if you see that term, you heard it here first!

MÖRK BORG Review.

MÖRK BORG is a great game for short campaigns and One-Shots or limited runs.I think it’s slightly meatier than Blades in the Dark, but the game concepts are somewhat similar. You get the setting of MÖRK BORG along with the rules and it’s pretty dark.

A post-apocalyptic game from Free League Publishing written by Pelle Nilsson MÖRK BORG has only been around for a few years, but it has gotten a lot of attention, variants, and third party expansions.
