Otter Man / Moose Boy Headcanons

I think it’s weird that Otter and Moose only got one episode, which leads me to believe they aren’t proper VILE agents. Before we get into that however i have some headcanons for their backgrounds;

• Otter and Moose are cousins, their real names are Otto and Sven.

• Otter’s mother died from an illness when he was still young, so he moved in with Moose’s family. They’re probably really close due to that, and consider eachother more brothers than cousins.

• Moose also probably both accidentally and purposefully helped a lot with Otter’s grief, which i think would bring the two together despite their quite opposite personalities. I think even though Otter acts annoyed having to put up with him all the time, he’s not really mad at Moose.

• Otter also never knew his father, and does not wish to find him.

Okay back to the reason i think that they’re not proper VILE agents..

• They only appear for one episode, and are never mentioned throughout any other episodes other than the Stockholm Syndrome Caper

• Stealing launch codes and selling them to someone doesn’t require a lot of training i wouldn’t think (well maybe they’d fight security, but i don’t think they’d need training since Moose is already really strong)

• They don’t get little introduction cards whereas every other agent does, even if they’re only mentioned in one episode (e.g The Mechanic and The Driver) and don’t show up on that screen in the last episode of VILE agents.

• Carmen states in their episode that she’s struggling to work out who the VILE operatives are. You’d think that she should be able to know, since she grew up in vile academy and should be able to recognise all students??

• I headcanon that their actual profession is ice sculpting. I think this because, how the hell would they acquire an ice tomte and put the data crystal in it without making it themselves?

So to go with what i said previously, i think that Otter and Moose are just two ice sculptors looking for extra money or something like that, then being hired by VILE for a one-off job and then failing (and quite miserably at that. D: )

We need more Moose and Otter appreciation in this world 😿

Character Rant: Otter Man

I’ve decided to start a series called Character Rant—where I rant about characters from my Carmen Sandiego AU and explain their backstories. SO, OTTER MAN: He grew up in Sweden, in the same neighborhood as Moose Boy (Heinrich) and Aspen. He never really liked his birth name (Sven), so he called himself Otto for a while. Heinrich was orphaned when he was young, and the two boys ended up living together for a lot of their childhood—the two becoming especially close after their friend, Aspen, went missing. They became VILE members in the year of Jean-Paul and Antonio, and Heinrich bonded with Antonio while Jean-Paul and Sven maintained a very stable hate for one another. Otter Man has almost no friends—except for The Troll (Kija), although they talk quite infrequently. When Maitea left and Maelstrom yelled at him, Otter Man felt a smidgeon of regret until he left himself. He still thanks Heinrich for his unwavering support that night, when he was bleeding to death on the floor of the London Der Schwarze Pfau.

Stockholm Syndrome AU

Otter Man: Greetings, Faculty. We have great news for you.

Moose Boy: We captured Carmen Sandiego!

(The Faculty reacts with a variety of surprised exclamations)

Otter Man: Yes, see for yourselves!

(Otter Man shows them Ivy, tied up in a chair and still unconscious)

(The Faculty goes silent)

Brunt: (slamming her fists on the table) THAT AIN'T CARMEN SANDIEGO, YA IDGITS! THAT'S ONE A THEM RED-HEADED VARMINTS SHE WORKS WITH!

Otter Man: Wh-what?!

Moose Boy: But she was wearing the coat and hat! She said she was Carmen Sandiego!

Cleo: She was obviously working as a decoy, you fools!

Bellum: Just like the Duke, right, Cleo?

Cleo: Shut up, Saira! We agreed not to bring that up anymore!

Dash Haber: So you have an idiot too?

Neal The Eel: What you mean “too”, Dash!?

Otter Man: Yes and he is unable to shut up.

Moose Boy: I am able to.

As of this photo the V.I.L.E. members who are still on the lose are 

The Troll: location unknown, it is quite possible his location was unknown to V.I.L.E. as well and that’s why Shadowsan’s file couldn’t lead A.C.M.E. to him. 

Neal the Eel: last known location is on a boat off the coast of China, do to his slippery nature it is likely he wasn’t caught between this scene and when the show ends two years later.

Cookie Booker: Location unknown. We don’t know if she is caught from know and the two year skip.

Dash Haber: Last known location is Germany. He seems to always work for other V.I.L.E. members so on his own I think he will be caught quite soon.

Lady Dokuso: Last known location is Beijing. She seems to have known how to not get caught for years and her poison makes her one of the deadliest non-caught V.I.L.E. operatives. I don’t think she is done doing crime either, she will most likely build her own crime network up again.

Vlad and Boris, The Cleaners: last known location unknown. We see them working as actual window cleaners, if they stay out of crime I doubt they will ever be caught with a lowkey job like that.  

PaperStar: she managed to avoid getting caught for two years, however she must have planed a big solo heist because I doubt Carmen would get involved unless it was serious.

Finally El Topo and Le Chevre, also known as Antonio and Jean Paul: Last known location unknown but somewhere in warmer climates. By the time this scene happens the two seemingly gave up there life of crime to be together and start a food truck called Go Taco Molé. It is possible that they have since been arrested but it would break my heart.

Bonus:

The Mechanic, The Driver, Otter Man, Moose Boy, and The Captain do not appear on this board so it is unknown there current status.

What if Carmen Sandiego Characters’ Birthdays were the same as their VA’s?

Ever wondered what your favorite character’s birthday is? I noticed that none of the characters have any canon birthdays (please tell me if i’m wrong), so why not make them the same as their voice actors?

Note: I searched up every character’s VA for this. Some of them i couldn’t find a birthday, so they aren’t included in this list. Some characters also have the same birthdays due to having the same VA, or it’s just a coincidence. Also, Mime Bomb has no VA so.. he has no birthday i guess
