The new Ludwigskirche in Freiburg im Breisgau, standing right next to the old cemetery. Built in the 50s by Horst Linde. It’s a home to stained glass works of Harry MacLean. Mathis Orgelbau is behind the 1995 organs.

I really enjoyed the look of the unplastered red bricks in the inside walls and the combination of wood and concrete. Would spend more time there but got chased off by the awkwardness of encountering another human being.

Paintings by Stefan Kürten

At first glance, artist Stefan Kürten’s paintings are about Modernist architecture. But the Düsseldorf-based painter sees something more in the houses he conceives on canvas, delving deeper into what the home means beyond a roof over our heads. "For me they are also a retreat, a place of memories and dreams, a place to reflect and to look forward," says the artist [...] "They are about an artificial, 'perfect' world—one that is unattainable." source

St Augustine's Catholic Church just off Oxford Road, Manchester. I've walked past it loads of times but I never realised how nice the interior is.

There's also an ad for marriage counselling at the back, which provided great amusement when I stopped to take photos of this church on a previous walk with my boyfriend.
