An AU where Fluttershy and Discord swap places/roles. Fluttershy being a Draconequis of subtle chaos, the flap of a butterflies wings, the little devil on your shoulder. Fluttershy is subtle, sneaky, and devious. Convincing others to create chaos for her, putting stuff in place like a large string of dominoes ready to be toppled. Isn’t it just awful how they treat you! She says. Wouldn’t you like to speak your mind? She offers. Wouldn’t it be great to show them all how it feels to be treated that way? She whispers in your ear.

She doesn’t have a definite shape, she just takes the shape of any animal she can think of. There is always something OFF about the animal she is however. A fox with too many tails. A dog with pony teeth. A bunny with a predators eyes.

Discord is a Pegasus with a flight disability. He can’t fly straight forward no matter how hard he tries. Sideways? Backwards? Upside down? Zigzag? Combinations? Sure! But just plain and simple straight forward? Absolutely not. He is childhood friends with Rainbow Dash, the two protecting each other from bullying they received from others. His talent is in magical theory with a huge interest in weather patterns and events.

I'm not really proud of how it turned out, but an artist will always have pieces of art they don't like, and that's fine. I'm pretty sure anyways.

My first take on the cutie mark swaps from Magical Mystery Cure because that shit fr made no sense. It’s heavily implied if not outright stated that the mane 6 had been living with their swapped cutie marks for their whole lives, so they wouldn’t be downright horrendous at what they do. Not to mention the show completely misinterpreting what the marks of certain characters represent, like Rainbow Dash as a prime example. Rarity is obsessed with weather patterns, yes showing her original personality with the new mark, but that’s not at all what Rainbow’s mark represents. Rainbow Dash earned her cutie mark by protecting Fluttershy’s honor and showing her competitive spirit by performing the Sonic Rainboom. So Rarity being her usual self but fucking with the weather patterns made zero sense. So…

Meet Prism. She uses her magic to move clouds, sure, but that’s not the only thing she does. She’s competitive in everything she does and is arguably more vain than she was originally. She’s a harder worker and not afraid to get dirty (though there’s a part of her that internally cringes every time she gets mud everywhere). But for some reason, she’s inexplicably drawn to the Carousel Boutique, unable to stop herself from admiring Applejack’s (new name to be revealed later) works even though every time she’s caught she claims she “doesn’t care about all that fashion stuff”.

How did everyone in here get obsessed with Regulus in the first place? I am wondering everyone else's ReguOrigins. For me, in middle school (like 10 years ago now....) I was obsessed with reading marauders era fics on fanfiction.net when i was in middle school, and would mostly read either wolfstar or james/sirius (IDk ship name for them). But some of the fics would have Regulus as a side character and I started to become more interested in him, eventually I started reading fics tagged as Regulus and was addicted, I actually at one point had read every fic tagged as Regulus that was in English on fanfiction.net lol, the main story that caused my obsession as a kid though was like 80 chapter long and was called "Haunted: The Life and Times of Regulus Black" by Jenna822 (she deleted all her fics though... she also wrote one of the earlier Jegulus fics that I know of, called Wonderwall, which personally was my introduction of Jegulus as a kid). Well that Haunted fic made me obsessed with Bartylus as it wasn't really a shipping fic but it had Bartylus in the back ground lol, but basically I would read literally every Regufic I found, but i liked Bartylus, Jegulus, and Regulily the most.

She wants to prove to the Princess that she has earned the honor she was given.

An AU where Shining Armor and Sombra swap places in history but not roles.

Sombra is a Prince from a Neighboring Kingdom who is to be married to Cadence in an arranged marriage, both kingdoms hoping that it would patch up old wounds and form a hopefully peaceful bond between them. Cadence does not like this Prince Sombra, she would rather find someone she truly loves, but can’t really say no to her aunt Celestia. Sombra has wicked plans he hopes to carry out, he just needs to gain this pink princesses trust.

Shining Armor is an imprisoned King of a lost Empire in the north. He used the crystal heart to keep his kingdom safe from an outside threat that threatened to destroy them all, using his love for his kingdom he turned them all into impenetrable crystal to keep them safe. Only one who can defeat the outside threat and show the crystal king the same love he showed his kingdom can thaw out the ancient Empire.

The outside threat can be anything, I’m currently thinking the umbra from the comics or maybe the changelings to be thematic. The changelings (mainly chrysalis) wanting to use the empire, it’s magic, and it’s people to have an infinite source of food and power. And Shining Armors only option being to put his entire kingdom under a stasis so that the changelings get nothing. Shining armor, the crystal heart, and his kingdoms people becoming a sick trophy chrysalis claims even if she can’t use their love to her advantage. Claiming the kingdoms grounds as her own. Shining Armor lived his people and his kingdom dearly, enough to use all he had to freeze them all in a possible eternal stasis so that they couldn’t be turned into an infinite power supply. Perhaps one day they will be free. And do to Shining Armors close proximity to the also in stasis crystal heart, he can somewhat see and hear things around him. He’s holding it, he’s basically become one with it. And he doesn’t intend on thawing anytime soon unless he knows it’s safe. And one day a Alicorn with a very particular cutie mark appears.

Optional additions-

Due to the sacrifice Shining Armor made, he has became the crystal heart. It’s lodged in his chest even after he’s thawed, and he’s permanently partially made of crystal now. The crystal heart became very fond of him over his rule as king. Perhaps it’s because of a particular Alicorns connection to the crystal heart?

The crystal empire are religious about the crystal heart. They were very fond of their king because of his connection to the heart to begin with. But he has literally fused with the crystal heart to save their lives. Needless to say Shining Armor is adjusting still to this new attachment his subjects have to him. They are incredibly fond of Cadence, look at her cutie mark!! She is considered a high priestess.

Living Harmony AU relevant character sheets/info: Harmony aka the "Tree of Harmony" Stygian Shadow Lock Starswirl the Bearded Somnambula is the next pillar up on the list with an updated design, courtesy of my buddy Ori, and a fresh character sheet from me. Her and Mistmane are the two pillars that ended up getting a species swap with their rewritten backstories for this AU. Bat ponies were super underutilized in the MLP G4 show and the idea of Somnambula and her town being mostly made up of Egyptian fruit bat ponies was super fun to think about. Listed below is some character and story context for these sketches provided by my myself and Ori like usual. Hope you enjoy!

Pillar of Aspiration

Bat pony from ancient Neighgypt

Comes from a village made up of mostly bat ponies with some of the other standard pony races sprinkled in and a healthy population of anubis style diamond dogs

Not a princess, but the equivalent of high nobility in her culture. Had cash to burn and was very generous in giving her wealth to the less fortunate in her village be it money, food, clothing etc...

Was also an advisor to the Pharaoh and Prince Hisan

Her village was trapped in a collective dream by a huge mythical Sphinx that hails from the dream realm. It would have turned Somnambula’s ponies into dreamless husks had she not broken free and solved the Sphinx’s riddles, which were the basis of its magic.

Somnambula’s artifact, the Sphinx’s Crescent Moon, is a trinket she stole straight from the Sphinx’s headpiece. Affixing it to her tiara, it allows her free travel between the dreaming and physical realms. Though, spending so much time in the Dream Realm as a mortal pony has its consequences…

Gained a weird aura about her after breaking the Sphinx’s spell. A small radius around her is folded into dream space, which makes it difficult to perceive her normally. She’s essentially a friendly cognitohazard. Take a good look, because you won’t be able to recall her face later. Lucid dreamers can see past this effect.

Has a somewhat eerie quality to her that she likes to play up. Dispenses philosophical queries just to mess with ponies such as: “Perhaps I am merely a fruit bat dreaming that she is a pony” or “Perhaps this is a dream, you don’t know!”

Has sharp teeth, but they’re meant for biting into fruits. Sometimes will joke about "gobbling" someone up if they get too close

Sleeps like a regular bat by hanging upside down. The bottom of bat pony hooves can grip many different surfaces for this purpose

Firmly believes in making your dreams into reality

Ancient Equestrians would call upon her name for protection in their dreams

Somnambula is Luna's favorite pillar and legend

Is celebrated with a statue of her in the center of the town “Somnambula” in modern Equestria. However it incorrectly depicts her as a pegasus pony instead of a bat pony due to wibbly wobbly history record keeping and/or the strange dream like effect that surrounds her

Somnambula’s Weather Abjuration (The Crystalling Part 2 - 16:26) is a spell named after her, though she herself had no hoof in its creation. It’s very likely that this weather ward was made after the perception of Somnambula shifted into her being a pegasus
