some updated and revamped facts about edelie since I jumped back into my replay and I feel like talking about her

human; born and raised on onderon until she ran away from home at 15 or 16

an only child with a complicated relationship with her mother and nonexistent (so far - eventually, antagonistic) relationship with her father

turns 19 during the great hunt

black hair, hazel eyes, light brown skintone. crooked nose that never reset properly after breaking it in a brawl. roughly 5’2 with a perpetual baby face and curvy, not much muscle tone until she gets adopted into clan lok.

previously worked as a waitress in a shady narsh cantina below her apartment that she paid for under the table and a hired merc for the gang that her boss was involved with before exclusively bounty hunting

stubborn, hot-tempered, and loyal. if someone has her back, then she has theirs without question. not likely to back down from a challenge. guilt complex off the charts, takes everything to heart as if it’s her fault.

bi and demi; has dated in the past but nothing too serious before torian enters into the picture

changes her legal surname from duine to cadera after marrying torian as both a show of solidarity with her husband and a ‘fuck you’ to the stigma of his clan

important relationships: milo and tia are her best friends, and torian is also her best friend as much as the love of her life, too. mako is the sister that she never had and deimos is the father figure that she wishes she had.

[Some established canon stuff that I’ve probably should have made a page for but will do so for the new blog;]

Rosalia has had six established relationships throughout the five million+ years she had existed, though she would only speak of perhaps four of them more openly than others.

(HIDDEN LORE) One such relationship had been entirely wiped from her memories out of choice, though she had recently been told about her having had once been the life partner of Aridem, the very rogue god that is set on destroying their universe. She was much more vulnerable, emotionally and psychologically, at the time of his betrayal, rarely ever having faced terrible situations at the time. The sight of their daughter killed by her father, while her brother watched coldly from beside Aridem, had torn Rosalia up so badly that she couldn’t even function until this decision.

Additional; she has an EXTREME dislike for being called ‘little flower’ due to Aridem using this nickname during most of their encounters, even before she learned the truth of their past.

Additional; she had developed her aversion to being touched without permission because of Aridem, even without knowing the history -- he often would grab her by the chin or pull her into an unwanted hold (for in his mind, she was his).

The “first” relationship she would remember was with a mage-like mortal being named Iiryan; she sought him out because of his renowned control over earth, which she had an affinity to but had no one to truly help her learn until then. The relationship blossomed within the first year of lessons. He was the first mortal she had ever truly gotten close to, and while it struck her hard at just how short mortal lives were when he’d die of old age, it was a necessary lesson for her to learn. One of the four she would be willing to speak about. There was no children, for Iiryan was sterile.

Second one was with one of Salri’s ranked soldiers (at the time), Verchiel, Had not lasted very long, perhaps only five+ years -- the archangel wanted to advance higher, and it felt that the relationship was already getting strained.

(HIDDEN LORE) Third was with a mortal named Milos; charismatic and charming,  had helped Rosa with her mission to find a specific deposit of elderite (hard crystal-like substance solidified from the excessive essence/magic of an Elder God). Milos had learned of her true nature very quickly and had worked hard to charm her into lowering her guard, including helping her find this elderite in order to forge herself a weapon. It turned out that Milos had been actively seeking a way to make himself immortal and had killed countless others for their blood and life force. Would reveal his real intentions upon learning that Rosalia was planning to be away for awhile in order to forge her weapon (even though she had planned to return, still unaware). Rather than wait for an unknown amount of time, he had used magic learned from notes and old tomes that was said to restrain gods -- had not taken into account that perhaps the magic worked so well on gods before because they were bound to the same world, whereas it only partially worked on Rosa. Milos was soon judged and dragged to Infernam.

This encounter left a scar on her stomach and the development of her aversion to her blood being used. It also made her become a lot more wary of others and will hold back on her feelings until she established some time with them to know their nature better.

Fourth was with an demonic assassin named Deimos; had jumped into her fight with one of the Harbingers. Had formed a close friendship with him despite her distaste for his line of work (even though gods were supposed to be neutral). Some feelings were developing between them, but it was not until Desire’s intervention and a night that accidentally conceived Tobias and Silvia that the feelings were not serious. Still had remained on good terms with one another, and Rosalia entrusted their children to be raised and trained by him and his sister Scarlet.

Last relationship was with a zellu (demon hound) named Django; introduced to her via Deimos, as they had fought together in one of the various wars that goes on in their realm. Had slowly become the longest standing relationship of well over a hundred years (despite the difference of body types). Had eventually come to an end when both realized that at some point the spark had been missing. They are still on good terms and Rosa would still trust Django with her life.

“Maybe if I had been stronger this wouldn’t have happened.” from Milo!

how do you even write? how do I even write??

“Is that so, Milo…?” Deimos’ voice comes cold, quiet– entirely detached from the younger Xura’s plight. His smaller companion’s blood gushes forth from an open wound, pooling freely onto the ceramic tile flooring, staining it - and Deimos’ white robes - a vivid crimson.

An assault in their own home, of all places.

Raeth would not be pleased.

Milo parts his lips to speak but he’s met with a single, pale fingertip pressed against them in a silencing motion. Deimos shakes his head. It’s not a massively complicated wound. He could heal it, if he wanted to. He has a few more minutes to decide, at least, before his small companion bleeds out entirely. Perhaps he could have a change of heart.

…Of course, it would be counterproductive to his earlier actions. A bloodstained knife, held in his other hand, is wiped clean on his sleeve before being tucked safely into a sheath upon his belt.

“No amount of strength can save you from betrayal, you know,” he speaks, his tone reassuring. A thin, gloved hand reaches out to gently caress Milo’s forehead, brushing the messy bangs aside and slinking his fingertips through a mane of auburn hair.

Finally, he leans forwards,  "…But it was fun while it lasted, my dear friend. I’ll give your regards to your brother,“ he purrs, softly, onto the younger male’s horn before pressing those same lips to a cheek grown pale, lifeless. A final farewell, but not necessarily an affectionate one.

As the last breath passes the young Xura’s lips, Deimos pushes himself to his feet, dusting down his robes and nonchalantly taking his leave from the building.
