Despite what tumblr would have you believe, there are absolutely Queer Book Clubs, lectures, art events that take place during Pride and all year long!

They won't be on your feed organically until you follow them; they won't pay to send you ads. So you have to be intentional to find out!

I can't make a guide for your individual city. These are leads + starting point. Their instagram will boost other events, there might be a list-serve.

Queer Bookstore - Follow a Queer Owned or Queer Friendly Bookstore on instagram or check their events page. This list has some from 27 states.

A University's: Sexual Health Department, Sexuality Studies/ Queer Studies Department, Queer Resource Center - Many of their lectures/events are open to the public, you don't need to be a student. They want to contribute to the community too.

Sex Shop - Find a local queer friendly sex store. Do not think they only sell things! Mine has a library of sex-ed books and events like self-dense classes, non-monogamy talks, support groups etc.

Queer Library - Likely only in bigger metros, but they host events and lectures.

Pride at Museums - Many museums do unique events/exhibits just for pride.

Pride Organization - Many cities' pride teams need jobs all year round so they do smaller Community and Education events year round. E.G. one is a queer book fair at a lesbian-owned brewery.

Queer friendly [Activity] /Business - For example an Improv club I like does a monthly queer Improv Jam.

Facebook - Queer exchange group, people post things on there or you can ask

I understand you may be from a small town or less progressive city, and these may not be available. I just saw a post with thousands of interactions from someone in Washington DC saying they don't have any 'non party' events, so this is my response.

I think the tumblr myth that there's no queer friendly events for people who don't drink party is way too pervasive. People like you are planning and organizing in your community.

Below the read more are specific examples for Minneapolis/Saint Paul. I'm going to feature some events/orgs to show you what kind of events are out there and to guide for what you can search for in your area.

Let’s be real their personalities cannot be encapsulated by a single image so I limited myself to two instead

We’ll start with señor Flippy, the boisterous boy who was so aptly named for his nightly routine of doing backflips off the roof of his cage to prep his bedtime perch for sleepy time. He sang the loudest songs to anyone who would listen and man could this man POOF. He made sunbathing in to a competitive sport. He would also routinely try to fight anything he deemed necessary, including threatening the parrotlets which is a fight he definitely could not win but, we’ll let him talk big, don’t want to deflate his poofy ego.

Zeeby occasionally located a brain cell and when she did she didn’t use it in the most functional ways. She would chew perches like an old bugs bunny cartoon, chewing the base of the perch while she’s standing on the very tip of it then forgetting she has wings when it plunged to the ground- surprised that gravity afflicts her. The fact that she passed trying to produce an egg twice as large as a standard egg for her lesbian wife is honestly probably the only way that makes sense for her.

Her majesty the bean, miss Mia moo berry, connoisseur of local hot spots (literally) and a palate for only the finest of foods for her royal tum tum. She was the pickiest bean, would not have a bath unless it was the exact right tub, in direct sunlight at high noon, the room must be warm but the water ice cold if any of these variables are off it is unacceptable. Veggies she refused for a year before sampling one, yet again they must be presented in a manner fit for the Queen, fresh and crispy in direct sunlight, if the veggie so much as looks at her wrong it becomes indigestible. How dare you. Running a Queendom is hard work, as a result any time not spent eating was spent napping where she would locate the best sunny spot in the house and hunker down. Doesn’t matter if that spot is in the middle of the floor, you will protect the Queen at all costs and imply proper security tactics (image below)

Newt has a heart of gold, he dedicated two years earning the Queen bean’s trust and she didn’t make that easy. He took his time, respected her boundaries and eventually earned the privilege of preening and cuddling Miss Mia. With this heart of gold there is also the mind for Crime, he plots thefts and incriminating acts on the daily but between his sweet demeanour and immense intelligence he’s yet to be incarcerated. This isn’t to say that he is conniving all the time, he of course likes his down time in his preferred state of being- absolutely sopping wet.

Toto! Oh toto…. I don’t know how a creature can exist with a grand total of zero brain cells at any given point in time but man he does it! A very simple man who just wants to love his husbirb, preen his husbird, gather stick for husbirb, husbirb is life. I have been going insane over fictional men for as long as I can remember, and I've noticed something: I have never been truly obsessed with a fictional woman. Ever. And I think I might know why. I don't know if it's the media I watch not making good female characters or what. I refuse to believe its me not liking women. Cuz that makes no sense. I have no guy friends and I have several girlfriends who I love. It's not that I don't find girls funny. I die laughing at several women on social media and also my friends. I just think it might be media not being able to make good, fun, complicated female characters. Like, all the lesbian movies I've seen end terribly, and if they don't end terribly, they are filled with terrible things. It's always so serious and depressing. Women aren't allowed to be goofy in most media, I don't think. I can't remember the last time I saw a goofy female protagonist who didn't grow out of her goofiness. Like, princess diaries is a really good example. Mia starts out as "ugly" clumsy, awkward and uncoordinated. I loved her. But once she gets her makeover and becomes more princessly that kind of goes away. And I love princess mia. I fucking love her. But they barley kept any of her physical comedy. It's just her jokes. Which are top tear don't get me wrong. She's probably my favorite female character that I've seen if I'm being honest. Haunting of hill house and bly manor also have amazing female protagonists but they don't count cuz they are also depressing! But in a very fulfilling way. God I love those shows. This also isn't me being in love with male protagonists and not female. Hardly any of the fictional men i lose my mind over i am attracted to. Just really really like them. I want to bundle them up and keep them away from the terrible realities they have created for themselves. Honestly, I think it's cuz most fictional women have the same personality. Theyr not allowed to get dirty. They can't be stupid and make dumb decisions, they can't be damaged so much that they can't function (that makes them the villain), they can't be slutty without being abused. I also don't really read that many books, and I don't plan to, so I'm mostly talking about movies and shows. I just wish that they would make female characters who are ridiculous more often.

That a-spec Sydney Sage post I keep promising

Some notes on why I'm convinced Sydney is on the aro/ace spectrum, specifically demisexual.

Throughout the series Sydney shows no signs of attraction without previous emotional attachment, and plenty of feelings of inadequacy due to not feeling what she's "supposed" to feel. Romance is not on her radar at all and frequently catches her by surprise.

When Sydney first describes Adrian she uses comparisons to classical art, she admires his looks in a more detached way, rather than describing her reaction to him. I believe this was meant to show the hang ups she has about vampires, she then says she can't admire him like she would a human guy, HOWEVER, she never does admire any human guys in a more involved way.

While we have some toxic cultural assumptions about women in general not really having a sexuality, or having a single target sexuality directed at her One True Love, her husband or soulmate, we know that isn't the case here bacause we have a very interesting contrast to Rose, who is sexually assertive and isn't demonized for it. She's clearly capable of feeling attraction right away and to people other than the man she's in love with.

The descriptions of Rose and Lissa's attraction in the first series are more involved and reactive, more similar to Sydney's attraction to Adrian once she has emotionally connected to him, as opposed to Sydney's objective descriptions of people in aesthetic terms in the beginning.

She didn't notice Ian's crush on her until it was pointed out to her even though we later see he's obnoxiously obvious. When a boy tries to ask Sydney out she assumes he's asking for her opinion on silent cinema and gives him a lecture about it, while what's actually happening is very obvious and hilarious to everyone around her. Even as her general social skills improve and she learns to navigate other situations better, she cannot confidently tell if a situation could be romantic. She reacts with panic when the possibility occurs to her and relief if it turns out that isn't the case, like when she thought Trey was asking her out in TGL.

While she's frustrated her job might stop her from actually connecting with friends and even her family, she doesn't seem too bothered about the obstacle to her romantic life before her relationship with Adrian. She doen't consider dating until her friends impose it on her, and she doesn't notice she actually agreed to a date with Brayden until Trey celebrates it.

During her relationship with Brayden she feels zero attraction to him and focuses on what is socially expected of her, not any of her own desires. Brayden is just as socially inept and inexperienced as Sydney, but he's clearly attracted to her and enjoying their kisses, while she finds all their physical contact underwhelming and unconfortable:

"Still, I was very conscious of being so close to someone. I didn’t think I was getting any romantic vibes. My pulse didn’t race; my heart didn’t flutter. Mostly I was aware that this was the closest I’d sat to anyone, maybe in my life. I wasn’t used to sharing my personal space so much. I soon forgot about that as the play started."

"As we sat there, I realized we’d come to another critical dating milestone. What was the correct procedure here? Was he supposed to kiss me? Was I supposed to let him? Had that been the real price of my salad?"

"I was so surprised, I couldn’t even move. My heart raced, but it was more from anxiety than anything else. Was I doing it right?"

"Why didn’t I have the same reaction? Maybe I’d done something wrong after all. Or maybe I was deficient?"

"I felt a little guilt that I had a greater emotional reaction to seeing the coffee than him." TGL, passim.

This is supposed to contrast with her already blooming feelings for Adrian, but other girls in the series (Rose, Lissa, Jill, Angeline) are clearly capable of feeling attraction to people other than their main love interest. Jill is just as inexperienced as Sydney, younger, and has an awkward first kiss with Micah due to concerns about her fangs, but she still found Sydney's description of her reaction to Brayden being like kissing a brother strange.

Sydney worries that she's cold and unfeeling, which indicates this isn't a new development due to falling in love.

The only thing I knew for sure was that this kiss had been a lot like the last one. Nice, but it didn’t blow me away. My heart sank. There was something wrong with me. Everyone was always going on about how socially inept I was. Did it extend to romance as well? Was I so cold that I’d spend my life never feeling anything?

This quote is very relatable in a sad way, a lot of a-spec people feel that they might be broken and that there's something wrong with them. It could also have some toxic implications, if you think it's only meant to be wrong because Sydney does have romantic and sexual feelings towards Adrian, but I don't believe that's the case. I think at that point you're supposed to think Sydney's worry is unfounded because she has shown herself capable of caring about and connecting with a lot of people already.

TGL has a lot of nice moments showing how the gang is becoming a found family and how much they all care for each other, including everyone's reaction to her first date with Brayden. In the opening Sydney is away for just a weekend and she misses all of them, and all of them seem supremely happy to see her when she comes back. Sydney's devotion to her family and friends has been highlighted plenty of times.

By TIS Sydney is clearly experiencing plenty of sexual and romantic attraction to Adrian, despite being in deep denial about it. While Jill is worried about a possible relationship with Marcus, and Kristin and Julia do not understand how she could possibly not be attracted to him, she seems dumbfounded by the idea that she would be.

Then Adrian, the person in the series who's portrayed as the most perceptive about people's feelings and how they work other than Sonya, while using his Magical Spirit Insight to look at her aura, describes Sydney in a way that's basically the definition of demisexual:

"My body doesn't know any better. I'm as susceptible to lust as anybody else." There was probably a book about that or at least an article in Cosmopolitan.

The hint of a smile played over his lips. He was fully in tune with me again. "No you aren't. I mean, you are, but not without reason. I know you well enough to realize that now. You're not the kind of person who's 'susceptible to lust' without emotion to back it." TIS, p. 243

Compare and contrast: "Demisexual is used to refer to someone who doesn't experience sexual attraction unless or until they've developed a close emotional connection with another person, according to sexologist Carol Queen, Ph.D."

That's as close to canon as we could get from an author who I imagine has never heard that definition, and the narrative definitely frames Adrian's take as correct. It's never implied that Adrian fixed Sydney, or that she's a late bloomer, or that there's something wrong with her. That's just the way she is and that's okay.

The most convincing arguments I've seen that Sydney feels attraction to someone other than Adrian are toward Rose and maybe Dimitri. While there's nothing wrong with people simply having different headcanons, I'd like to point out that I don't think that would be incompatible with Sydney being demi, as she already has an emotional attachment to both of them. I think no one in the VA universe has been able to describe Rose and Dimitri's looks in a non fawning way, so they're probably so reality bendingly hot that that's just how you would objectively describe them. But she already considers Rose a friend and likes Dimitri, so she could be demi and be attracted to one or both of them if that's how you interpret it.

Someone on Discord asked some good faith questions about asexuality and demisexuality and why people feel it's important to them, and I might post my answers here if anyone is interested. I'll happily answer any questions anyone might have, but I'll not engage with anyone who tries to invalidate or exclude other people's sexuality. I didn't use the SAM here because I don't think it applies in this particular case.

When they were about six years old, they got separated from their parents while camping and ended wandering to the village during the winter months.

Mother Miranda ended up finding the young child and caused Hemera to have the Cadou parasite put in them in an attempt to recreate Eva.

While Miranda’s experiments proved unsuccessful in recreating a vessel for her daughter, the Cadou gave Hemera inhuman strength and speed, as well as the ability to manipulate the shadows around Hemera.

However, these powerful abilities come with a cost, as the Cadou stunted Herema’s growth, along with making her sensitive to the cold and bright lights.

Donna and Heinsenberg eventually offer to take the child in and raising her together.

Top 10 Sexiest Mechas

12 Days of Aniblogging, Day 4

Mecha is one of the most intimidating genres for anime newcomers. The plots seem overly complex, the episode counts too long, and the giant robot war settings difficult to relate to. I think that all of these are valid concerns, but that mecha often gets a bad rap when most people don’t even want to try it. What both newcomers scared of the genre and hardcore mecha fans often fail to recognize, though, is that on top of the messages of the series, mechas always represent bodies. They are giant robotic representations of their pilots, the visions of their creators, collective psyches, and/or the work’s central themes. The degree of anthropomorphism, the level of abstraction with which the pilot controls the mecha, the colors and shape and size…all of these bodily elements directly tie back to the mecha’s role in the story. Of course, if mechas are bodies, then they are also vulnerable to sexualization. So let’s take all of that into consideration and chart the top 10 sexiest mechs! I’ll be keeping it capped at one entry per series, and will talk about all media, not just anime and manga.

 10. EQUUS from Concrete Revolutio

Starting off the list we’ve got a pretty weird pick, but I wanted to make sure that I shouted out this show. Concrete Revolutio is a kaiju and superhero-deconstructing delight, but when it comes to mechas it really plays things by ear and aims for the coolest setpieces possible. The protagonist’s mecha is essentially a Transformer that unfolds from a car into a centaur mecha. While the car body middle leaves a little to be desired, overall the design is a very good synthesis of Car and Horse. It’s certainly a better implementation of the centaur mecha design than say, Overwatch’s Orsia, who has a very visually muddled walking pattern because her legs are far too tiny and packed closely to each other. I’m especially a fan of the wheel joints on the knees and hooves on EQUUS, as well as the unicorn horn. Much as a centaur is an identity crisis between man and beast, Jiro is constantly in self-conflict over whether he can be a heroic protector of all superhumans or if he’s just a monster in disguise.

 9. Metal Gear Zeke from Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker

Metal Gear Solid is one of the most iconic mecha series out there, so picking one specific Metal Gear over all the others proved challenging. The classic boxy REX, the smooth aquatic RAY, the upright Sahelanthropus, the arachnid EXCELSUS…there’s lots of good ones to pick from! It was a tough battle, but ultimately I had to go with ZEKE, the first named Metal Gear chronologically. Designwise, the railgun and Z-shaped legs are a nice touch, but it’s the story arc around ZEKE that interests me the most. A lesbian-sourced war crime machine, ZEKE was created by MSF, the nationless nation of soldiers run by Big Boss. It ended up being hijacked by terrorists from within and nearly caused a globally eradicating nuclear exchange, which is as good of a metaphor as they get for why deterrence is a fucked ideology. Accidents happen, stockpiles become more and more sunk costs, and sometimes anime girl triple agents infiltrate your military base and steal your cool robot.

8. Char’s Zaku II from Mobile Suit Gundam

Confession time: I haven’t actually seen any Gundam. I’m more of a Macross gal myself. But I felt like not having any Gundam on this list would be like ignoring Star Wars on a space opera list. Anyways, Char seems like one of the most awful bastard characters of any series ever, so I’m happy to use a spot on this listicle for his mecha. The Zaku II is infamous for being “three times as fast” as its generic counterparts despite its only difference being its red paint, but c’mon – that’s Char’s absolute moral purity buffing his ship. You deserve that stat buff if you’ve Never Betrayed Anyone In Your Entire Life, Ever.

7. Deus Ex Machina from Promare

Promare ends, as all Trigger works should, with a whole lot of Act 3 Bullshit. Plot twist after plot twist until all of the themes dangled at in the first half no longer matter, with nonstop fighting getting more ridiculous by the second. At our protagonist’s darkest moment, their problems get handwaved away and they are handed a deus ex machina of a mecha literally known as….Deus Ex Machina. A fusion of Lio’s jet black triangle armor and Galo’s knightly firefighter mecha, the design of this mecha represents their connection and understanding of each other. Yes, of course they’re gay. Why else would it be glistening in rainbow colors?

6. Terminus typeR909 from Eureka Seven

Another mecha anime I’ve hardly seen.. but one that I definitely want to get around to! Eureka Seven just seems like a genuinely delightful time, and I’m a sucker for romance-based mecha shows as well. Anyways, the piloted mechas in Eureka Seven are named after Roland drum machines, with the typeR909 is named after the classic TR-909. They’re nicely proportioned and there’s something sweet about the cutesy magenta robot of the fleet being piloted by a 30-year old man. I guess I’m just a sucker for the gentle undoing of gendered associations and music gear.

5. Eva Unit-01 from Nylon Genesect Evangelical

All of the Eva units are quite tall and bestial and wonderful, but it’s Eva-01 in particular that really stands out due to its conspicuous tendency to disobey its pilot and go berserk, fully unhinging its jaw. NGE takes the “mechs as bodies” thing pretty damn seriously, but throws in the delightful wrench of “what if it’s not your body that’s being represented?”

4. VF-1 Valkyrie from Macross

Macross was the first popular mecha series to utilize transforming robots. What makes Valkyries so sexy is that they’re not just limited to Spaceship and Gundam forms – they have an intermediary form. In GERWALK mode, the cockpit remains exposed having not folded into the mecha headpiece yet, and the wings are still popped out. However, the Valkyire has sprouted its arms and legs already, making it capable of landing, walking on the ground, and wielding a gun pod as a rifle.  It’s kind of adorable! Stuffed to the brim with weapons and tech, Valkyries are the perfect blend of stylized and realistic robots. The Itano Circus will live on forever in our hearts as the go-to tactic when you have plenty of talent on your animation team and your mechas are armed with way too many missiles.

3. Jehuty from Zone of the Enders

While the VF-1 mecha is sexy because of its utility and folding form, the Orbital Frames of Zone of the Enders are sexy because…they’re designed with a sexual angle. They’re famous for their literal cock pits, but combined with their broad shoulders, slim hourglass waists, and pronounced thighs, they exude a strong androgynous energy. Jehuty is one of the most recognizable frames simply by virtue of being the playable mecha, but definitely one of the hornier ones too. Case in point: at the end of Zone of the Enders 2, it receives an upgrade after absorbing its sister frame to become Naked Jehuty, a stripped-down but ridiculously powerful mecha with gold sections emulating bare skin. Yoji Shinkawa’s brain is simply too big.

 2. Bohrok Pahrak

Look, I can’t just not include any Bionicle on this list. They’re some of the most formative lil’ robots to me. But which one is the sexiest? That’s not really something I’ve had to consider before. While some of the titan sets such as Roodaka and Axonn have a certain sexual angle to them, it feels contrived, carrying the same kind of creepiness as horny OC designs. The Great Spirit Robot might be the super robot of the series, but its design is rather barebones and reminds me too much of The Iron Giant. So I ultimately settled on the Bohrok, the hivemind villains from 2002’s story. While most Bionicle are a combination of biological and robotic, the Bohrok are strictly mechanical – and piloted by the masklike Krana, making them mechas! You really shouldn’t fuck the Bohrok, but there’s just something so perfect about their design. They’ve got it all – not only transformability and an orb design, but transformability into an orb design. Their hunched-over stature reminds me of GERWALK Valkyries – it’s cute and functional! As for why Pahrak in particular, well, the shields it wields are vibrators. Just ignore the fact that they’re powerful enough to seismically level mountains, and you’ll be set.

1. The Entirety of Heaven Will Be Mine

You can tell that Aevee Bee and Mia Schwartz did their homework for Heaven Will Be Mine. They understand better than anyone else that a mecha is a representation of the pilot’s psyche and body, and that damage to the mecha is indistinguishable from that to the pilot. This is reinforced by the mechas being referred to as Ship-Selves – they are literally an extension of oneself more than anything else. By looking at a ship-self, you can almost immediately infer what kind of person the pilot is, what her position in bed is, and what her fetishes are. The layer of abstraction between pilot and mecha ranges from wafer-thin to nonexistent depending on the character. The side effect of this is that since HWBM is about a bunch of gay girls in space having sloppy ideologically charged hookups, the mechas have to be designed just as sexually as everything else. And by god did they deliver on that front. Some of the ship-selves, such as Mare Crisium and String of Pearls, take clear direct inspiration from Zone of the Enders frames. The Krun Macula takes some inspiration from Char’s Zaku II in terms of color and shape, but its face chimes give it a uniquely divine and powerful feeling with no mecha parallel. This perfectly mirrors Pluto’s powerlevel advantage over all of the other pilots, and her humanoid-but-not-quite ship-self perfectly represents her faction’s goals. On the other hand, the assimilationist Memorial Foundation believes in ending the space program and grounding all ship-selves to prevent the splintering of humanity. Their mission manifests literally in that each member of the faction wears some form of bondage gear to represent their shackles to the Earth, and even their Ship-Self has a spreader bar. Heaven Will Be Mine is ridiculously horny, and it has the vision, design, storytelling, music, and everything else to back it up. Truly, the best of all worlds. Frank and Pho are doing so bad that we genuinely don’t trust them to front unless we’re being supervised by someone, because we can’t guarantee their safety, and it’s gettin real bad.

And since Frank and Pho are our two best fronters as well as our main protector and host, respectively, we kinda need them to be functional and safe, and between me and Dana, we’re getting so overworked it ain’t funny.

(I still firmly believe Frank has got to be some kind of superhuman/enhanced person/paranormal being because there is no other possible explanation in my head for how he’s managed all the shit he’s managed for as long as he’s done it all by himself.)

So. Probably inpatient. Which means no access to technology and shit. Sorry.

SOMETHING WILD:

- Tish is the lead singer and founder. 20 years old and she’s already a total anarchist with no self control. Her gecko is named Winston the Eighth despite being the first of his kind. Has been to jail like 16 times or something. Trans lesbian. - Scott is the drummer and honestly? Horny rights. 21 years old, his rat is named Abbott and his cat is named Costello. He and Ryan have an off and on rivalry and relationship, aka they fucking hate each other but sometimes they kiss. Mia’s foster brother. Trans gay. - Ryan is the lead guitarist of the band and Tish’s friend since 1st grade. He’s 20 and on his 16th birthday he jumped off his roof into his pool. He would attack Scott if he didn’t have a massive crush lmao. Masc nb gay. - Zee is the second guitarist and a weird ‘half-hipster half-hates hipsters’ type of person. 22 years old. She’s the band’s bassist and honestly doesn’t like Tish but she does like money and fame. Cis bi. - Celine is the band’s favorite roadie (seeing as she’s dating 2 of the members lmao). She can play keyboard and is sometimes hiding offstage with one. 20 years old with a heart of gold. She's selectively mute and often times Maggie or Zee speak up for her. Trans bi. - June is the band’s manager because Tish is a complete moron all of the time. 24 and met Ryan and Maggie in a shoe store and since then has taken care of their group of idiots. Massive crush on Kara but is always too busy to actually ask her out. NB lesbian. - Layla is Tish’s older sister and spoils her baby sister so much. She’s the one who always bails Tish out of jail without regards of why she was ever there. Supports the band from a distance since she works at a cable company and can’t really travel. She’s 25 and sees Ryan and Maggie as other younger siblings. Cis bi. - Mia is Scott’s foster sister after her parents moved away without her. She loves him to death but to everyone else she’s a total brat. Despite being 15 and needing decent schooling, she travels with the band and just does online school. She’s really good on the guitar like her brother and wants to start her own band some day. Cis and ??? - Stella is Mia’s only real friend and they met during one of the band’s tour shows. She’s the chillest person you’ll ever meet but she’s also a major humans rights activist. She’s an amazing singer at 16 and Mia wants her to join her future band. Trans bi. - Kara is Scott’s ex girlfriend from when they were in 7th grade and both thought they were straight. She helps June with the band and sees Celine as the younger sister she never had. 21 and although book smart, she sure isn’t street smart. Crushing hard on June. Cis lesbian.

- Kasey is the lead singer and once won a singing competition at 14. Now she’s 21 and her solo career has been totally forgotten. She thinks Tish is the worst person on the planet and will go to great lengths to destroy Something Wild’s career. She loves her crew beyond believe though. Dating Rose and loves her so so much. Cis lesbian. - Isabelle is Kasey’s younger sister by 3 years and will do anything her big sis asks of her, even down to the most illegal thing. She copies Kasey all the time, even in hair color and actions. She’s the band’s bassist and one of the most well known bassists in the punk rock circle these days. Trans bi. - Kaia wanted to be a zoologist as a kid but her school career went downhill fast and she accidentally got swept up in the music world. She’s the band’s lead guitarist and despite it not being her first choice, she loves being part of the group. She’s dating Leo and they’re a cute as hell couple. Trans bi. - Elijah is Kasey’s best friend and the two tell each each other every little thing, Eli even being the one to convince Kasey to start a band. He’s the drummer and loves it so much. He doesn’t really approve of Kasey wanting to end Tish’s career but doesn’t say it. Trans bi. - Neo is the group’s second guitarist and honestly can’t bring herself to care about drama, she just wants to play. She and Winona used to date but now they’re best friends. She’s developing a game on the side of her band career and plans to leave Karma 2.0 once her gaming company gets traction. Trans lesbian. - Rose has looked god in the eye and wasn’t impressed. 21 year old daredevil without a care in the world (except loving and cherishing her gf Kasey). Terrible memory from a childhood accident but that doesn’t get her down. Cis lesbian. - Nebula went to jail for robbing his landlord. His childhood friend Kaia bailed him out and since then he’s been the band’s tech guy as payment. 22 and can’t do anything well, but can do many things decently. Helps Neo out with her game all the time. Crushing on Elijah. nb gay. - Winona is just here for a good time really. She’s doing an online college course to be a nurse since she wants to support both of Neo’s careers rather than being stuck in her hometown in a boring college. She’s got a love for graphic design and usually makes all the band’s posters. Cis bi. - Harper is Winona’s older sister and she helps Kasey manage the band and set up their gigs and tours. Of everyone in the band, she’s the one who helps Kasey the most with her take down plan of Something Wild. Her heart is in the right place but her greed takes over at times. Cis bi. - Leo is the only real functioning adult of the group despite being the youngest at 20. She’s actually only there to support Kaia, since she prefers country music to the loud, annoying, punk that Karma 2.0 plays. Trans lesbian. - Samantha is Neo’s co-developer and seriously disapproves of her friend’s band life. Self proclaimed ‘queen of the computers.’ She’s reserved and keeps away from pretty much everyone but Neo. Cis bi.
