DPxDC idea that has been floating around my head for a few months now:

Gotham, given its whole... thing with Lazurus Pools and general bad vibes, has a ghostly representative. Lady Gotham, when she bothers to be coporeal, looks like an influential lady from the 1920s, straight art deco elegance. A real classy girl.

Jazz is touring college campuses around the US. She has full ride offers from Gotham University, Metroplis College, and Star City State, to name a few. Danny, upon hearing that his sister is going to GOTHAM of all cities, decides he is going on this trip with her. He might be only 15, but his big sister isn't getting mugged while he has half an afterlife left to live!

Lady Gotham is all a flutter! Why the last ghost king was so frumpy! King Phantom is so handsome and powerful, and he is coming to her city. She absolutely has to show off her best side! She feels like a teenaged girl getting her home ready before a new beau comes to visit. She's flustered, she's nervous.

Meanwhile, John Constatine wakes up with cosmic alarm bells going off because something really, really bad is happening. He investigates to dicsover that for the past three days Gotham has not had a single crime.

No murders, muggings, hell not even a single jay walker!

Gotham the most cursed place on the North Or South American continent is suddenly more squeaky clean than whatever small farm town Superman grew up in.

No crimes, no smog in the air. Crime Lords seemingly gone in a puff of smoke, Assassins asleep in their beds.

Its so freaky. Even Batman is spooked and he is never spooked by anything.

Constantine is certain some demon or other nefarious being is harnessing Gothams cursed energy for some evil plot. Gathering the power to use it like a nuclear blast. Batman is concerned about mass mind control.

Lady Gotham is doing the metaphysical equivalent of hiding all of your stuff in a closet before a guest comes over because you dont have time to actually clean. She had to shoulder the thing closed! She just knows that when the lock fails there will be a huge mess.

Jazz and her family are just surprised about how nice Gotham U's campus is. She'd heard it was so dark and dangerous, but everyone is smiling and pleasant to her! Danny is just happy Jazz is safe from various villains.

So we have Batman investigating his rogues gallery for mind control plots, Constatine hunting for demons, Jazz and her family taking a walking tour of Gotham U, and Lady Gotham using every bit of her ghostly powers to make sure her damned, cursed city doesnt embarrass her in front of her crush!

"Danny!" Danny turned around to find Plasmius, gunning straight for him on his motorbike, and came to a quick stop as if he wasn't about to run him over. "You need to keep your alternative self on a leash. You hear me?"

Danny took one long sip of his tea, staring Plasmius straight in the eyes, savored the taste for a moment before swallowing. "Nuh uh."

"What do you mean 'Nuh uh'!?"

"Nuh uh."

Plasmius straight up hissed, red eyes glowing from beyond his pair of sunglasses as he stared the teenager down. "Do you know how many times he's woken me up, before the sun itself is up, just to annoy me into spending valuable hours of my time with him!?"

Danny took another sip of his tea, reaching a hand under his shirt to scratch his stomach. "That sounds like a you problem, really."

"Da-"

"You know he's also made from you right? If I had to fight him, you're going to be annoyed by him." Danny stated plainly, making a gesture with his thermos. "Also, it's a bonus for me since you're too busy to do your frootloop things-"

Plasmius grabbed Danny by the back of his shirt and wrinkled his nose. "You really need to get better pajamas than a simple shirt and oversized pants." He placed the boy under his arm and took the sky. Danny idly shifted to Phantom as he took another sip. "So like, where're you taking me?"

"To go and put stop to that imbecile."

"You know I had plans today."

"Ice cream for a month, all from my card."

Phantom humed. "Make it two."

"Deal."

Phantom flexed his fingers. "...Three..."

"Doable."

"Oh, you're actually serious about this."

A drive later

You see, Dan was having the time of his life. Strongarming that old man at the asscrack of dawn, driving to Metroplis and causing mass amounts of property damage with the crown jewel being that he got to chase around Superman in an attempt to run him over.

He should've expected something to go wrong.

One moment, he was casually minding his business, trying to trample one of the Earth's greatest heroes under his motorbike. The next he was nearly knocked off of it when something slammed into him.

"Ello." Phantom said calmly, as if he wasn't just thrown by Plasmius right into his alternative self from a future that no longer exists. "Twerp." Dan also said 'calmly' as he grabbed onto Phantom and lifted him off of him.

Then dropped him.

Superman was very quick to catch the boy. "Thanks." Phantom said, and Superman smiled. "You're welcome! Are you here to pick him up now, or are you just waiting?"

"I'm getting three months worth of ice cream if I stop him now so like, pick him up I guess."

Superman help him up under the armpits and faced him towards Dan. "He's here to pick you up, by the way!"

"I fucking heard that!" Dan shouted at Superman before turning his attention to Phantom. "Also, what the fuck! You can't just do that! Did that old fuck put you up to this!?"

"Whaaaat? Noooo, he would neveeer..." Phantom glanced around, looking for Plasmius before clicking his tongue. There was an unfortunate lack of said halfa to throw under the bus. "If you stop for like, now, I'll share some of my ice cream with you."

Dan genuinely considered this proposal. "Know what, fine." He yanked Phantom from Superman's hold and dropped him onto the seat beside him before driving away.

"Enjoy your ice cream!" Superman shouted.

"Shut the fuck up boy scout!" Dan shouted back.

A whole new World! Date

Danny had been dating Cass for a few months already and wanted to make this date very special. He invited to meet at the top of the Wayne Tower in costume, and there Cass saw what he planned; no wonder he wanted to watch the movie with her! Danny brought a magic carpet from the Ghost Zone and wanted to show Cass it, but he first had to make sure she knew about it. So as they were both on a magic carpet ride, They flew through Gotham, Metroplis, Metro City, Coast City, Star City, Blüdhaven, Central City,

It became very fast something the people talked about and saw out of the window, like a fairy tale; was the date of Black Bat with Phantom.

Phantom didn't even try to hide it, he made it known to world he is dating Black Bat and this is his date with her!

But this was newspaper titles already!

"So this is how heroes date!"

" + For few of the heroes in question. Kid Flash Wally:" Stupid Phantom! He makes the standards too high!" Robin is sarcastic:" So tell me, Where should I find a magic carpent to go on a date? Around the Whole World. "

Yeah, Phantom set the standards for a date very high.

Woof. Okay guys. This is the rest of Sizzles story. I will still be drawing him, but I just want to tell his ending. Feel free to send asks and I will answer OOC.

So he leaves the shelter closest to the entrance of metroplis just as it closes, traping Artificer inside while he runs to warn the scavengers.

He jumps up the western wall, the one you'd usually leave the chieftains throne from. He gets pretty scraped up by narrowly avoiding spears and recklessly boosting into concrete. But he makes it.

Meanwhile, Artificer is exploding as much as she can to escape the shelter. This will leave her weekend but free.

Sizzle warns the chieftain. The chieftain's citizen ID drone labels Sizzle with the mark of the chieftain, adding to her understanding of Sizzle's situation. She is fully prepared to start sending elites tworads Artificer. However...

She's already here, much worse for wear, but burning with absolute fury. She doesn't even address Sizzle, charging straight for the chieftain, explosive spear in hand. Sizzle would most certainly end up with a new scar if Artificer had caught up to him earlier.

A fight ensues as Sizzle watches in horror, every second he is reminded of his life that lead him here. Every painful and joyful moment spent with Artificer or his tribe.

Artificer gets the best of the chieftain, splitting her mask in two, she raises a spear for one last blow...

And Sizzle tackles her to the ground. Rasing his own spear, his eyes tear up and his heart races. He stabs into Artificer's skull, killing her in an instant.

This scene is parallel to the one in this post where Sizzle kills a vulture to protect someone.

Sizzle is obviously left distraught. This was far from the hasty plan he made earlier. His mother was dead by his own hands. For all the pain she caused him, it was still difficult to come to terms with what he's done.

The chieftain comes to Sizzle's aid as he stumbles backwards. A karma flower blooms from Artificer's skull, quickly wilting, signifying permadeath. She was gone. Forever.

Sizzle is given one half of the chieftain's mast to signal his sacrifice. He lives among the chieftain, and her pup

Who bares a similar appearance and personality to Tangled Kelp.

Sizzle finds solace in this for the moment. So eventually, with his reputation restored, a key to Metropolis, and his freedom. He returns to Five Pebbles.

And that's really it. The rest of his days are spent hanging out with scavengers, helping deal with the damage Artificer left, and living his life. I'll do some stuff about who he meets (cannon characters) and how long he lives if you guys ask about it. It's not priority right now though.

I'm not lookin too much to have a power play. Since most people who are saying my name is my family and my friends. Also my teachers. It's a bit cringe when they butcher it.

Yeah, I'd like to help people where I can. Why thank you! And, my url is quite literal, everything I touch turns to gold. There are a few exceptions to the rule, of course, if it is worth more than gold naturally I cannot turn it to gold.

I don't know too much about either! I have talked to both in passing. So I can't throw my 2 cents into the pool. I am also Gotham based, unfortunately, so we have bats and Superman. I lived also in California prior to Gotham. News that happens on the other side of the country really doesn't reach our ears that often.

It is a bit of a mouthful, but that can work to your advantage. I go by Lex due to the almost addictive alliterative appeal, but Alexander Luthor would be similarly unwieldy to yours, though not as "cool". Having a name people struggle with can be an easy power play, though a shallow one. Any method that works is a good one, though.

Being a doctor or a geneticist are both worthwhile goals, I highly recommend them. If you end up pursuing the latter, I'd love to employ you someday. What power do you possess?

Traveling is a good idea, unfortunately, work keeps me busy enough I simply don't have time to do so very often. It's worth making time for, though.

Too true. There is, of course, nothing wrong with aliens being on earth in and of itself. I have no objection to Martian Manhunter, for instance. He largely keeps to himself, and his interference is usually to solve problems. Superman, on the other hand... Well. We all know his situation.

Sources for buildings under construction include local development forums such as SkyscraperCity, SkyscraperPage, UrbanPlanet, SkyriseCities,Houston Architecture, and Dallas Metroplis, and other websites such as NewYorkYimby, as well as internet searches for buildings under construction for those urban areas without such a forum. For Toronto and Vancouver, I added up the number of buildings in the SkyscraperPage database listed as under construction. I've compiled the buildings into a document here for reference so you can check if your city is listed accurately.  

Numbers include buildings undergoing foundation work and those that are topped out but not yet opened. Proposals, usage conversions, and buildings in the demolition stage are not counted. Buildings that have started construction but are on hold for over 3 years are not included either.  

Note that this graph is likely not 100% accurate due to reporting and the lack of a reliable database. If there are mistakes or omissions (which is likely) please do correct me and I will update the map on my top-level comment on my post on r/skyscrapers as well as list them here.  

Keep in mind that this map only shows high-rise construction, not construction in general - Los Angeles is adding a lot of units through missing middle developments, for example. All municipalities in the same MSA or CSA are grouped into the same bubble.

One day, Kara Zor-El found out about a little something called surrogacy. Supergirl wanted to find a way to bring Krypton back ever since she and Clark lost it. After making arrangements with several scientists and sperm donors, Kara made sure that this experiment wouldn’t be a repeat of what Lex attempted to do with Bizarro. These clones would be grown with her genes within her body, and would be perfect. They’d be given to families she and others knew were trustworthy and equipped to take care of a kryptonian child.

Before she even knew it, Supergirl was pregnant, and still doing her thing despite concerns from the other Justice League members. She made sure to stick to stopping muggings and other petty crime in Metroplis once she reached full term, as she knew no gun or knife would ever leave even a mark on her proudly displayed belly. These were fun times for Supergirl. She flew about town, greeting people and receiving belly rubs, getting free food from various venders (not that she ever asked for it of course), restaurant owners, and Girl Scout cookie stands, and of course, seeing the shocked faces of bad guys and crooks as they get their behinds kicked by a pregnant woman.

This especially reigns true for Deadshot, who Luthor hired to take her out before the birth. As expected, the bullet bounced right off her belly and only gave Kara a slight jolt, and Floyd a quick ride to jail, with a clear message to Lex.
