How to beat depression.
What causes depression and how to get out from that dark space?
We all hear, see and watch stories of people who are or were in depression some gave up and some fought and got out from it.
Most common causes of depression are Illness and health issues, some upsetting and stressful life events, divorce, family history, abuse whether it’s sexual, physical or emotional, money problems, death or loss.
What can you do to get out from depression and take your life to another direction?
You need help please just don’t sit there alone go out and speak to someone who can help there are many organisations who help people who are dealing with depression.
What should you do :
- Get out and ask for help: talk to your family or friends who can understand what you are going through, spend time with friends and family don’t stay alone.
- Go out: Going out means make a list and try to do things that you have never done before, take long walks, take deep breaths, spend more time outdoors, socialise, attend events keep yourself busy in small tasks.
- Read books: There are few books available online to read how to overcome depression and find happiness you can also watch video’s on YouTube.
- Self care: Practice self care taking care of yourself, changing lifestyle, eating well, do more exercise, cutting alcohol, giving up smoking, be more active, take 8 hours sleep apply these habits to your daily routine.
- Joining a support group and counselling: Joining a support group is beneficial they can help you to gain better understanding about what causes you to feel depressed. Sharing your experiences with other’s who are also going through similar situation can be very supportive. Taking counselling therapy can help you find a ways about your emotional issues, you can contact your local therapist who can help you to overcome depression or there are mental health professionals who can help you out.
- face your fears: Try to gain your confidence do not avoid things you find difficult, facing up these situations will make it easier for you.

♡ Writeblr intro ♡
Hello!
I may be a new to writeblr but am by no means a new writer. I’ve been writing since I can remember, and it’s one of my dreams to be published :)
fun fact : I used to hate writing poetry because I couldn’t rhyme to save my life...still can’t rhyme, but LOVE writing poetry now! I know poetry doesn’t need to rhyme but it took myself a long time to convince myself of that!
Now I spend most of my days online thinking of new ideas for poems, short fiction, and novels.
I have three WIPs right now. One is a poetry book called Spilled Milk, the other is a short story collection called A Promise to Make is a Promise to Break, and the third and final one is a novel I am working on called Airplane Mode.
I love surrealistic stories and poems. I’m a fan of psychological thrillers and contemporary fiction. I enjoy the nitty gritty that most people are to uncomfortable to actually talk about, not because it is stuff that I support but rather I want people to get an inside look of from a different perspective. I want people to be perplexed and disgusted all at the same time. Think, Lolita.
I identify as nonbinary using the pronouns they/them, I am 18 and bisexual. I have a boyfriend whom is the light of my life (and fire of my loins.) I’ve been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder since I was fourteen years old and it has been a fucked up journey, one that I’m not even half way done with yet. It’s a hard illness but I truly believe it has made me as great of a writer as I am now. I want people to see the truly dark sides of mental illness, not the overly glamorized ones. I want them to see the abuse of others, the guilt tripping, the unintentional manipulation, all of the things that make people angry - and all of the things that are all apart of mental health, The ones that aren’t glamorized or talked about nearly enough.
If you want to see some cool, twisted, messed up writing give me a follow and reblog! I want some mutuals :) if you want some more writing friends also hit that follow button!

Jesus fuck I think I just had a nervous breakdown and that’s never happened before. I’ve had anxiety attacks for sure, but never like this. I was tense, rocking back and forth, shaking, and crying, and it was so intense but it only lasted like 20 minutes. I have so much stress in my life right now from home and school and can’t escape it.
If anyone can give me tips on how to deal with this, please let me know. Idk what to do about this. I’m nervous talking to new people so I’d prefer an anonymous message. Idk really care who as long as you’re not creepy or weird. Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

It is important that we know the difference between unpleasant situations that occur in our life v/s what we are. We may be the creator of a certain situation but that situation is not us. When we associate ourself with the situation we are in, we give up our power to turn it around into something better. Remember - you are not the problem that you created. You created the problem, so you can also uncreate and recreate what you really want.
Reclaim your power to create.

Please feel free to share if you would like, I was only ten years old at the start of my battle with depression and anxiety.. I knew I was different from others and I never wanted to let anyone down, and I didn't know how to say/describe how I felt. Then there was limited resources/support and awareness. Mental Health is a real issue, whatever religious/spiritual and medical beliefs one may feel, this cannot be ignored. Any child can feel this way, loved and supported children feel this way and may feel guilt for feeling these feelings like I did. Please let us pass on the awareness and help end the stigma for the next generation of children that need us. This world has more resources yet suicide rates continue to rise and more children are on medication than ever today. I think they need are help now more than ever. Little One I see you wrapped in blankets I feel the darkness you cannot describe As your eyes fall heavy Tears covering the pillows In the bedroom filled of broken dreams Dark thoughts start at ten years of age Beginning of the chronic and long battle I hear the wishes and prayers in your head For this you wish is to be the last sleep Yet young one it is not your time yet Little One I know you are confused I understand you feel as the burden to those you love Yet your presence is needed and your absence would would cause endless hurt to those that you love Battles ahead will have you loved and lost Failing and rising Rejection will fuel the hunger to change Resources will appear in your life Support will happen personally and professionally One day you will know why your little self was meant to be in such pain For the days of wounds becoming the wisdom The dull spark that feels hopeless will be lit again The spirit of your soul will awake after each time you believed was closed Every fall is just another continued come back Every comeback is stronger than your stumbles Little One You are meant to be here Some day you will understand these feelings There will be days of dark and gone Yet there will be light and awareness awaiting There will be change You will be the strength others need to speak for one day Little One Here is a promise You will know why you are meant to be here

Not Having The Right To Be Depressed?
Controversy is something I tend to stay away from but I would just like to say that you can have a mental illness or a poor mental state no matter who, what, or where you are. The main reason I advocate for validity in people's feelings is because of the stigma of privilege determining how real someone's emotions are. Simply said, anyone can be sad.
Well of course anyone can be sad everyone knows that. But do they really?
Let me put it this way, everyone has their own standard of normal. This point stands whether that person is rich, poor, middle class, or otherwise. For example, let's say someone is on a platform 20 ft in the air (sorry for anyone who uses the metric system. I was never taught but the analogy should still make sense) and you are at a platform 10 ft in the air. The person who was at 20 ft falls down to 10 ft and you fall down to 5 ft. Technically, the person who was at 20 ft has fallen further than you have but you are both on a platform that is at only half the height you used to be at so to each person the fall is equally as drastic.
It doesn't matter your background, ethnicity, wealth, gender, etc. You have a right to have your own problems. When people say otherwise, it does a lot of harm to everyone involved.
The main reason I wanted to say this was because I was recently informed that it's impossible for me to have any legitimate mental illness because I have a good home life. While family can play a huge part in someone's mental wellbeing, there are a lot of other factors at play in a person's life.
No matter who you are, your feelings are valid. Nobody else lives in your head and can see how badly things effect you.
Feel free to criticize me, correct me, or leave comments (positive or otherwise). If saying things that would be considered rude helps you feel heard and validated, I will not silence you.
Also I am still fairly new to the concept of trigger warnings so please tell me if I miss any!
Thank you and stay you!

Introduction - Anxiety post one
Thanks for taking a peak!
First and foremost I want to say I am not a medical professional and this blog is strictly about my personal struggles, symptoms and treatments.
Amy is the name! I am a 30 year old working professional, dog lover and wife!
I have had anxiety most of my life, but only was diagnosed about 10 years ago, and let me tell ya it was a long struggle and battle in my early years.
I was your normal kid who had a love for animals, sports, and hanging out with my best friend. My symptoms where pretty “normal” than, mostly an upset stomach, sweats and feeling “off”. I didn’t really know much or take much to heart.
As I got older it got worse. I would miss a lot of days of school, would panic about going to school, have an upset stomach and those cold sweats. I was never bullied in high school, had great friends, and a fantastic family. High school was the first time I went to the doctor who basically they chalked it up as normal teenage issues.
As I got older the symptoms continued to get worse. I would go though the same symptoms listed before but added: heavy breathing, racing heart, dizziness, and now fainting. I also have a really hard time leaving the house unless my husband or  parents are with me.
I have been on medication for ~ the last 10 years, something that would constantly go up to a higher dose when I hit lows, or would go down in strength when I started to feel better. Now at 30 I am on the highest does of that medication, and my symptoms are very constant, and effecting me the same if not worse.
I am scheduled to speak to a mental health professional July 8th (that makes #3), to see what is going on.
I feel like I am constantly treading water and am having a hard to breathe.
Though out this blog I will be writing a new post every few days with more about my symptoms, self help, doctors appointment, and struggles.
If anyone is ever feeling down, or if you are struggling from mental illness yourself - PLEASE don’t hesitate to reach out to me..
Have a Happy Canada Day!
~Amy

BIID
Not a Sims post but...
I know BIID is a rare disorder and I refuse to identify as transabled as it’s dumb ass hell. And it’s not the want to be disabled but damn I hate my right foot. I would do anything to get rid of it but I’m just a teenager and maybe this is just hormones and people will probably think that I’m crazy but I really really hate my right foot. It’s big and it’s annoying. It looks like an alien and I pretend to limp because I don’t want to acknowledge it’s existence. Is there any Danish therapist that you recommend?
