actually maybe you know but what is cnets reaction to the us election results? i have weibo but i feel like im getting a pretty limited view
Hmm, the general reaction I've picked up on is: they think it's funny that he got elected. There's a very 吃瓜/watching with popcorn vibe to viewing U.S politics, but I don't think that there's a particular happy or sad feeling about it the way maybe other Western countries' people have reacted? Generally speaking, whether it's Trump or Harris, Republicans or Democrats, they both hate China and don't give a shit about Chinese people, which is the main concern of people in China.
I don't think they give a shit about the platform minutiae of it all; democrat or republican is largely the same to Zhang San and Li Si making 3000 yuan a month. Trump being president is in that sense inconsequential. In the meantime, I sense cnets find Trump very entertaining, so they tend to "like" him. I mean, he's funny to watch from afar, and because the China has developed largely self-sufficient industries, even with Trump's rhetoric on China, there is not a really an economic concern over on that side. Moreover, Trump in his first term, through his brashness, gave China a lot of opportunities to develop international relations with those countries that Trump alienated. He weakened the U.S grip on other nations, especially those developing ones, which found a friend in China instead. He was/is enormously racist and xenophobic toward China but his first presidency was actually considered good for China. For his aggressive talk, he is viewed as an an idiot that is easily influenced, and while yes, he can be unpredictable, at the end of the day, he's a "business president" and you can trust that money will always speak to him the loudest. As long as he's president, he will also embroil the U.S in domestic chaos, preoccupying the country and perhaps preventing us from starting new wars and stuff. (Biden is viewed as a war hawk; Harris would've continued his foreign policies)
Meanwhile, China will keeps doing China and the cnets, I guess I will say, largely have faith that the government will do what's best for China, and therefore best for them.
That's my read.
I will say, the main Chinese social media I use (where I actually get news, anyway) is douyin, which attracts a different user base than Weibo, I think. It's largely a video sharing site, where Weibo is more for posting text (deeper reflections, maybe?). I'd be interested to know what the Weibo reaction is, or at least, the reaction in the circles you or anyone else frequents!

All Saints Street Extra Comics Translations 1-3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Apologies for the delay! We are finally publishing translations for the All Saints Street manhua.
We will be uploading them on this drive for now and later upload to mangadex. I will have to ask you to NOT SHARE this drive PUBLICALLY, feel free to share it privately.
Example of what to do: sending the drive link to friends on discord.
Example of what not to do: posting the drive link to twitter. We are going to start with some older extras that were never translated to get a good idea for a workflow and fix problems as they rise. After that we are going to prioritize translating chapters 486-500 (why? well, if you know you know) so we can also start working on simultaneous text translations for new chapter releases. What I mean by this is that as soon as a new chapter comes out, we can upload an english text translation alongside it, like the japanese translation team does now.
Tumblr media
Here is an example with the bonus comics:
I am also hoping this will be a good accessibility feature. Likewise, I am releasing to the public the table I translated from the japanese group. It is a rough Work-In-Progress table, but for me it has been an invaluable whenever I have to look up a certain chapter. I even made a search engine to look up chapters by character appearance.
Meanwhile we will be going back and re-lettering chapters that have been translated by independent efforts and uploading them to Mangadex. We have obtained permission from both @saints-street-translated and @wan-sheng-jie for this! After that the translation will continue in two fronts: the comic translations from 501 onwards and releasing text translations for new comics.
Translating the whole manhua will be a looooong process. Right now, we have text translations for all extra comics, but the lettering has been going slow. That's why we are still open to more volunteers to join us for the role of cleaner/typesetter! You don't need qualifications or even software (we will get it for you cough), just time and a disposition to learn.
TL;DR
ASS manhua translation is resuming.
Older Extra comics will be translated first.
We will translate 486-500 ASAP.
We will release text translations for newer comics.
We will remake the translations for 405-485 to upload to MangaDex.
We need YOU to typeset the ASS comics into English!

okay okay au where dfs is a very successful chef/ restaurant owner who has dedicated his life to studying the blade (wok). meanwhile llh has quit his soul-sucking corporate job and in between job hunting has started filming videos of him teaching himself how to cook and he is SO BAD but SO ENDEARING that he amasses an enormous following on weibo. he almost sets his kitchen on fire cooking something from dfs’s (begrudgingly penned) cookbook and dfs comments under the video to tag the local fire department

About the mixed response in China & why I think TTEOTM will prevail in the end 💪
Saw the "Badly Received in China?" post earlier and thought to share a longer take on the situation in China, why are there so many antis, and my own predictions on its future.
Tumblr media
First, a clarification, TTEOTM has been an massive hit in China. The data speaks for itself in every way you can measure commercial success: viewership, platform membership, app downloads, social media heat index, advertisements, merchandise sales, unintended tourism GDP contribution. The drama has shattered records and outperformed all the recent xianxias, which you'd never dare to expect for a drama with no dingliu (顶流) that airs exclusively in the dead April slot on a platform that's 3rd (sometimes 4th) amongst online streamers. (Some day I'll create a master post just on the stats.)
The only area it falls short on is critical response. It's not just the low Douban rating (opened at 6.x and now dropped to 5.6). The three Bs - Douban, Weibo, and Bilibili (which you can think of as China's IMDB, Twitter, and Youtube) were full of attacks against the show. This included trending topics on how the actors looked (LYX too thin, BL looking old/big/overshadowed by CDL, CDL 照骗 not looking as good as in photo) as well as allegations of plagiarism and drama behind the scenes between cast & crew members. A lot of people watched video edits that twisted the facts and had a poor impression of the drama and even left 1/2-star reviews on Douban without ever watching an episode. (This type of brainwashing is more effective than you'd think. I've been reading a lot of negative posts about the Little Mermaid movie and almost caught myself writing something negative about it without ever watching.)
As all of this unfolded, I kept asking myself, why all the smearing? Who is behind it? And why TTEOTM in particular?
Tumblr media
A lot of what appears to be normal user activity is driven by water armies, marketing accounts, and "black" hot search ranking, all paid. This is all backed up by photo evidence captured by netizens. It comes down to commercial interests of rival platforms, productions, actors. This actually happens to every drama that is threatening in some way (almost a proof of success), but TTEOTM attracted more anti $$$. Why? For one, it's seen as the secret weapon that could elevate Youku's status as a 3rd/4th player to a close 2nd to rival and even at times overshadow Tencent. It's no coincidence that, Bilibili, which is owned by Tencent and has way more daily active users than Youku, has promoted hate videos and limited the traffic of fan videos - at some point not even recognizing the drama's Chinese title in search results. (Bilibili used to be a haven for LYX fans and a platform LYX has partnered with extensively. This flipped 180 degrees since he no longer has any unaired dramas with Tencent.)
TTEOTM is also a target for rival productions. It's got big name stars with solid acting reputation, one of the hottest IPs, and high anticipation from all the promotional materials - they've been super loud in letting everyone know that they have better costumes, special effects etc Meanwhile, there's a massive pipeline of unaired xianxia dramas that stick to the old formula and will likely feel dated after people have watched TTEOTM. People even started questioning how some productions with bigger rumored budgets ended up with cheaper-looking promotional materials, costumes, CGI (read: embezzling). So if you've invested in xianxia 101, you'd really want to discredit TTEOTM and stop people from watching it.
But there's also rival fandom jealousy, which is almost worse. Someone asked which fandom is behind it, I would say everyone. There are only so many "resources" to go around in the "entertainment winter" and it's a zero sum game. LYX and BL are both already big stars but still not at the top yet. They are big enough to threaten the dinglius, but not big enough to be accepted as having "made it" by other rising stars. E.g. Yang Mi, Yang Zi, Xiao Zhan receive a lot of hate too, but it's less realistic as a prospect to bring them down. In contrast, the smearing of Bai Lu actually kind of worked. (And I'm really talking about the fans. The actors probably leave it to their agencies/companies.)
Tumblr media
Other fandoms are especially bitter in this case because TTEOTM really upset the status quo and commonly accepted truths in a way that kind of discredits everyone else. A lot of the below have been used by fans of dinglius as excuses for when a drama doesn't perform:
Youku is a rubbish platform and Youku exclusive web dramas will never have high viewership
It’s impossible for an actor to break out twice within the same genre
An actor can only develop a big dedicated fan base with CP marketing
Breakout hits are always unanticipated dramas that come out of nowhere
Autumn/Spring is a dead slot. Hits can only come out of the summer and winter holidays.
IMHO A lot of the intense hatred comes from long held beliefs being proven wrong. LYX has always been thought of someone who’s borderline A list and B list, yet the opening viewership of TTEOTM is like double that of dramas led by bigger stars. It would have been less threatening if it started low and slowly gained traction because the drama proved to be good. But the initial hype speaks to the market power of a LYX xianxia, so a lot of people wanted to see it fail and looked for faults everywhere.
Moreover, because TTEOTM had an explosive opening, it did not have enough time for word of mouth to develop before people started bashing it. If you look at Douban ratings, shows that fewer people watched tend to have better reviews because only fans bother to rate it. Starry Love and Back from the Brink, both harshly dismissed as flops by the industry, both have >7.0 on Douban. Meanwhile, people love to hate on a show that is receiving a lot of hype - suddenly they are held to completely different standards even if the budget is similar. Why are people more accepting of the rise of Dylan Wang and Esther Yu in LBFAD? In the end because the expectations were pretty low. They were able to build up a fan base while no one was watching.
Tumblr media
Finally, TTEOTM does have lots of production problems, some of their own doing and others not their fault. Either way this left the drama less defensible in the face of scrutiny or tucao (吐槽) culture. The production is very ambitious and took risks, but did not deliver everywhere. It's got parts that look like a blockbuster film and parts that look like a B grade TV show. I personally did not like some of the editing, lighting, cinematography, color grading, special effects, makeup. AND this is precisely the type of production details Chinese viewers LOVE to fixate on. Meanwhile, compared to western viewers, they are more forgiving about things like mediocre acting, dubbing, slow pacing, repetitive tropes or storylines, uninteresting characters. (I think this has something to do with cultural differences around rewarding perfect execution over innovation/risk-taking, sum of the parts over parts that carry the sum.)
And then, there are creative choices that are daring and controversial. These are not problems per se - for every viewer that hates it, someone loves it because it's different. But this perhaps explain why its score has dropped further, even in non-Chinese platforms like MDL, even amongst fans of the show. For example... (spoilers ahead)
Opting for a bad/open ending, knowing that it'll upset some fans, but sticking to it because they feel that it protects the overall integrity of the story (no deus ex machina). Of course, most viewers prefer a happy ending. It would have been easy to just give people what they want. The screenwriter doesn't even have to come up with a new ending for god's sake! However, almost every xianxia that has come before has resurrected the lead character after the big climax. Viewers have been making fun of the cop out: What's the significance of life and death if everyone just reincarnates?
Packing lots of details in a fast-paced, highly complicated, non-linear plot, trusting viewers to be engaged enough to use their brain, rewatch, and discuss outside the show (a bit like Christopher Nolan films). The downside of this is that it's hard to edit out a scene. There's also high risk of viewers getting confused and complaining that the plot makes no sense. Even though most things do if you go several layers down, some rightly point out that they just want to be entertained and the drama should stand on its own.
Making this a male lead centric (大男主) drama, which is rare in the xianxia genre that more recently has targeted young women exclusively. The story shifts from focusing on LSS's mission to TTJ overcoming his fate, perhaps at the expense of the romance (a criticism I see a lot from viewers looking for a pure love story). However, for context, viewers in China (including CCTV itself) have been complaining that the xianxia genre has lost the "xia” (heroism). It's gone from Chinese Paladin, which is about ordinary people overcoming odds to become heroes, to stories that are just about pretty people, who happen to be gods, falling in love since the success of Eternal Love and Journey of the Flower. TTEOTM brings the focus back to "zero to hero" character development, so this is also a change that many welcome.
Allocating a crazy portion of budget and screentime to superhero fight sequences. I agree with all the critics who say these scenes don't add much to the story, the B roll looks better without CGI, and they could have kept other scenes instead. BUT guess which scenes I find myself rewatching and showing off to friends the most? Episodes 14, 15, 32. Because it is thrilling and glorious. Plus after enduring so many Marvel films over the years, I'm pleased to see a version that's genuinely Chinese (not some pan-Asian BS), rooted in our philosophy and martial arts tradition, featuring Chinese faces that have real kungfu training.
Going over the top on aesthetics - colorful costumes, hair accessories, and heavy makeup. A violent reaction against the simple pastel aesthetics that have dominated xianxias over the years. Of course, lots of people hated on the eyeliner and found the extravagant visuals distracting.
However, even with all its flaws, I'm glad it aired and did not wait for perfection. (A lot of May dramas did not go live last minute due to "technical problems" i.e. government censorship. These days, airing = success.) In addition, I predict that over time people will come to appreciate TTEOTM more. Here's why:
1) A lot of dramas now widely lauded as classics started out with poor ratings. Over time, the noise will die down and make way for what really matters - compelling acting and story. Empresses in the Palace (2011) opened with a Douban rating of 2.7 out of 10 (yes, this bad). Viewers didn't like the casting choice. They thought the actors looked bad. There were also issues with the costumes. Over time, its rating increased to 9.4. It's now a show rewatched so loyally that data analysts use its viewership to track market size. Similarly, a lot of the issues people have with TTEOTM are superficial. The things that matter most like acting are good, and even if you dislike the story and editing choices, it did manage to keep 70M people watching and engaged till the end, incl. people who don't watch a lot of TV or like this genre.
Tumblr media
2) Moreover, when people look back or rewatch, they tend to focus on just the highlights, and TTEOTM is full of memorable scenes. There are also so many standout memes/gags (出圈梗) that will live in our cultural fabric forever. Fans on Douban were surveyed on who they would have chosen as the director instead and still overwhelming "rehired" Kuk Kok Leung. Biases aside, I think people realize that you could have a better executed drama overall - higher production value, greater consistency, more attention to detail, BUT you might also lose a lot of the things we loved. I don't know if another director would have allowed TTJ go full creepy/evil/weak in the first few episodes or filmed all the steamy love scenes without a modesty backlight. TTEOTM feels so different because it breaks ALL the rules (see above) that I'm not sure if dramas in the future will try to replicate. If they do, TTEOTM would have started a trend. If they don't, TTEOTM will remain the only option.
3) Only dramas that inspire passion will stand the test of time. There are plenty of dramas that score well but don't inspire passion - they will fade away over time. The TTEOTM fan community is intense - there's so much discussion and engagement everywhere. Its Douban group is the #3 most active ever (measured by # of comments). Its MDL page has 68K comments, highest of all aired CDrama. Its Douyin topic has close to 29B views, highest of all costume drama. (Interesting to note that TTEOTM has an excellent reputation on Douyin, the platform with the most active users and least amount of toxic fan activity.) Fans have spent >25M RMB on merchandise, an unprecedented amount - 3M RMB on a character that appears for <10 mins (OG Devil God). It's got to have done something right because this is way more buying power than the fans of LYX and BL combined. And in my N=1, I've not been this excited about a franchise since Game of Thrones and then Harry Potter.
Bottom line, you might have liked it, liked it with regrets, hated it... but if you're spending the time to read this post, all the way till the end, you've become a luna-tic (or 烬神病人)!

been thinking about this post again and while su mengzhen is obviously a better person than tom buchannan i still think the comparison holds because just like gatsby and tom, bai choufei and su mengzhen are just.... by way of completely different worldviews due to wildly different upbringings, fundamentally irreconcilable people being forced to occupy the same space by the narrative until one or both of them breaks from it. you know what i mean
some day im gonna post that bai choufei is jay gatsby comparison thats been sitting in my brain since july and the world will be slightly worse for it
#syx#like if you ignore the actual character personalities the parallels are very... there#tom/smz both start the stories with a symbol of the thing gatsby/bcf wants most#(daisy as a symbol of social capital/the xiyulou as a symbol of power and status)#like the main parallel between gatsby and bcf is that theyre both#people killed by their pursuit of something they are destined to never attain due to the class(?) their born into#like the official syx weibo described bcf as a first generation youxia which is really the main problem here#like a classic trope of wuxia is the psychological warfare of loudly declaring to your opponent who your parent/shifu is and its always som#incredibly powerful and well known name (like im reading shediao rn and like#of the two main characters of the book one is taught by a member of the in universe Big Four Powerful Guys#the other is another Big Four member's daughter so this happens very very often)#meanwhile for syx like bcf is the only character who doesnt have any family status/power to lean back on so hes destined to never acheive#the kind of power and glory he spends the whole show looking for#meanwhile tom/smz is the character who has it all because they were already building on their familys foundation#obviously theres still a difference like smz still gained most of what he has through his own work which also makes him way more#vulnerable? like he has a lot more than can be taken away from him#which *does* get taken away from him because thats the show hes in#but like by way of how they were born and raised smz and bcf just have like... wildly different and opposing personalities#the way gatsby thinks its normal to call a guy he just met bestie every 5 minutes and tom thinks people who say bestie are fucking weird

reading this post by @kseniyagreen and this observation from @a-memory-a-distant-echo made a few cloudy images in my head finally solidify.
In an older post, there was an observation made by @difeisheng that both Di Feisheng and Li Lianhua were consistently positioned in shots throughout the entire story with DFS to the left and LLH to the right.
So I'd like to start here with the final two character shots of the last episode and the special episode:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Standing on actually different or metaphorically 'different' beaches, they still take their paired stances in the narrative to the very end.
But is that it? Is that all there is?
There's actually some transitional things happening here. Like in the entire narrative, both DFS and LLH mirror each other.
Look at these moments here side by side.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
On the left, the camera drifts past Di Feisheng and picks up speed to go rushing across the ocean's water. Where is it heading?
On the right, the camera drifts past Li Lianhua and continues its slow and steady pace, reaches the open water and then... steadily slides back - gradually picking up a small bit of speed.
The ocean is that thing that connects dfs and llh.
The speed that the camera travels in dfs' scene is beifang baiyang - the overwhelming strength rushing forward with purpose. This is dfs internally, spiritually, reaching out and following llh.
LLH's camera meanwhile takes on the slow and steady characteristic of Yangzhouman. It gently travels to the ocean and then... goes backwards while increasing pace. As if a ghost were reaching out and then... perhaps making contact and pulling back?
I know both end scenes are shot on the same beach and they just moved further off to the side - but I do like the idea of them essentially finding each other again in the same spiritual space after having traveled mirrored to each other, in tandem, for so many years. One thing is very clear to me here. Di Feisheng's spirit is with LLH and even though he is late in his realization of what he wants - he'll continue to follow LLH's footsteps.
Just as Li Xiangyi dies, so too does the person that is "Di Feisheng". After all, as with Dao, there's no importance in a name if you know what and who you are.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These are the final two images of Di Feisheng as uploaded to Xiao Shunyao's and one of his studio staff's weibos. I also vaguely recall a final message as narrated by XSY, mentioning that he will continue to study martial arts and maybe travel. The world is vast and wide.
I think this beach is an appropriate resting place for Dao. As his blade is laid to rest, so too is the Demon Leader of Jinyuan Alliance.
*
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's unfortunate that we don't get to see more of Di Feisheng and Fang Duobing's relationship development. But we do at least get small hints seeded throughout. I like how right off the bat, they're thrown into tight proximity together - it's broadly hinted that Di Feisheng not only shares the guest bed with FDB, but he also ends up borrowing/stealing clothes from him.
Then we have LLH and FDB likely going shopping and putting together whole outfits for A'Fei - one of the outfits is the same cut as the Caillen Manor set.
And by the end, Fdb appears beside DFS in the same spot that LLH would have stood - wearing clothing that's the same cut as DFS' and black belt + bracer set that looks like they could have been pilfered from DFS' things.
This gives me some small closure in the sense that no matter what else you interpret happening in the physical world, I feel that Fang Duobing has taken Li Lianhua's final letter seriously. He's grasped onto Di Feisheng - and regardless of how you see their future relationship, it's not one where DFS will just drift away and disappear unnoticed. Not easily.
Li Lianhua isn't all that DFS has, even if he may not realize that yet.
I can rest my sense of security on the shoulders of Fang Duobing's stubborness.
*
Here's a collection of links for the bits and pieces that have been floating around in my head regarding how Di Feisheng and Li Lianhua are bound together in both life and death.
history of shared spiritual space with LLH living in a coffin made of the remaining pieces of his last memories of DFS. While DFS has literally entombed himself in a cave of stone.
dfs' spiritual influence on llh
llh bound to dfs' deaths
song lyrics written by Yan Yidan and Teng Ping regarding DFS' devastation at losing LLH
Dfs and llh narratively bound together - this is a bit dated now as I don't have as negative a view about DFS' end. But at its core, I think it still holds up.
And some links for Fang Duobing + Di Feisheng meta
@bbcphile's observation about dfs and fdb's ep41 sad beach outfit
early in the series, dfs had to borrow fdb's clothes at Caillen Manor
llh's last actions paving a way for dfs and fdb

Link Click Musical part 81
(parts 79 and 80 scheduled beforehand, but I have some urgent news, a cute one and a sad one >> cute one first)
Tumblr media
Shu Rongbo, Wu Yihan
A few days ago I was looking for better videos of the jump hug these two did. Instead I found the video from their 24.12.2023 noon performance. Which is just as fun but till today I haven't seen anyone mention it. I was waiting to talk about it, hoping a better quality clip or pics appear AND they did today (@/Lave__na7 dropped ⬆these on twitter) 🙏 So lesgo context 🏃‍♂️
They sing the encore 'guiding light' song, it's a christmas set so LG has a plushie. I'm guessing LG walked over to CXS's part of the stage a bit to soon. CXS's actor is surprised but they both laugh and continue.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Still giggling, LG hands CXS another plushie.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And by the end they seem to talk? Or whatever it is, ok? They lean in, smash the plushies together and intertwine hands.
_| ̄|○ .... i can't
(I'm just trying to report on LC musical events without being too delulu but shiguang keep giving me their toughest battles) I'll link the video of full encore in replies, so judge by yourself :'>
On the other hand, another urgent news regarding Wu Yihan came to me as I was writing this post. So excuse the change in tone but:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He's going on a health break. On weibo he said that he twisted his ankle.
On a same day he cried, but during the 'sofa song' performance you can notice he's wincing when moving his leg. That's why in my earlier post, I've reached out to chocolatexiaoshi, to ask if they know if he's injured. We weren't sure so I didn't mention it.
The executive producer of the musical jokingly complained about actors laughing during the play, so that was more sure reason of him being emotional at that time.
Overall, it sounds like back then he was having a very tough day in general, which is understandable ✊😔 Now we know what happened, let's wish him a swift recovery 💪 And I'll make sure to let you know of his comeback 🌟
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, Wu Yihan appreciation time 💙✨

I just miss them, so let’s share a quick round of Mileapo good-natured silliness. Feel free to reblog and add stuff if you feel like it! *hearts*
So Mile’s currently in Belgium and what did he post from his vacation? This picture of a closed clothes shop. And while the style of the outfits in the window display could fit either of them (bless the overlap in their fashion style), I noticed something in the back.
Tumblr media
A horse saddle! Which might sound funny, unless you remember that Mile has said on more than one occasion that Apo is like a horse in his opinion (hard to earn his trust, but if you can, he’ll take you to some amazing places).
Meanwhile, Apo shared on the same day a pic of a black cat with greenish eyes. Mile loves cats and particularly black cats with green eyes, he has for years.
Tumblr media
(This allows me to reminisce for a second on Feb 25, when they were doing KinnPorsche the World Tour the day after Apo’s bday, when Apo wore a shirt with a horse on it, and Mile arrived at the event with a cat shirt. During an interview, Apo was asked what Mile is getting for him as a gift, and for a second there, Apo’s fluent speech disappeared, and he stared down at Mile’s body peeking out... Credit to @workinclass for the gif)
Tumblr media
The next day, Apo shared a pic of green flowers. Mile LOVES green roses and his fans are even named after that love. I’m not sure green roses actually exist naturally (i.e without dyeing). So this pic might actually be the closest you can find in nature to Mile’s love.
Tumblr media
Mile re-shared a story showing a gold Rolex. At two events this month, Mile and Apo were seen wearing matching gold Rolex watches (at their Jul 6 Song Wat visit, and their Jul 14 taping of promotional material, both done for their movie Man Suang), but generally speaking, Apo is known to really love them.
Tumblr media
What else? Apo’s been sharing a TON of pics of spicy food. Apo is not known as a great lover of spicy food, but you know who is? Mile.
Tumblr media
Then on day 2 of a 3 day festival in Belgium that’s open until 1 a.m, at about 9 p.m suddenly Mile was seen going on Weibo, the only social media site Apo can use while in China. Mile left a GN message to fans, then went on to like every single one of Apo’s China posts, then he left a comment reflecting his contentment at Apo chilling, and interacted with absolutely no one and nothing else.
Tumblr media
More to come?...
(for my other Kinnporsche/Mileapo posts, check out this tag)

Heyy! just found your acc and I am absolutely loving it here. idk if you'll read or reply to this but im writing this just because im kinda disheartened seeing some of these jikooker's behaviour. like i get it, we should always be open to the possibility of jikook being in a relationship with someone else but to see them dropping jikook in a matter of seconds after one shady grainy video drops is just... some are still adamant that jungkook does infact have a girlfriend. I've been seeing so many "jikook broke up", "jikook just bros", "jikook poly", "jikook were just fck buddies" it feels like these jikookers are just heavily insecure and somewhat believe certain taekookers' theories as they've been going off about how jikook haven't been close in 2023 and they are no longer 'glued together' just because we don't see it.
its like they were just ready to drop jikook and found this video issue to be the perfect opportunity lol....i honestly don't know where im going with this dkdkdjflkdjf but yeah. i dont think it was jungkook in that video (pretty obvious if you ask me) and I'll keep supporting jikook. jikook's bond is so different than all the other duos in bts and them not dating would be more shocking than them dating each other. ig these jikookers don't wanna act how taekookers did in the whole taennie situation but that's the thing this jungkook thing is in NO way similar to the taennie proofs we got. we got HD pictures and saw their managers in their video ffs.
also the acc that posted that video on weibo went on to post a clearly fake edited video of "jungkook" roaming around his apartment when asked why don't they have more videos of jungkook if they had so much access to jungkook's apartment, and had their lie get debunked so yeah. mindless rant over i guess. JIKOOK FOREVER.BTS FOREVER.
I almost logged out but since you love it here I love it here too🤭
Tumblr media
You see right there- even if it was Jungkook in that video it is not conclusive of anything. It's just back hug. Looks like a younger boy worrying his Noona to me and if it wasn't then we need to talk about a little things called consent. Sis looked like she could use her personal space.
Besides, if it were him, nothing special there. He does that with every one. Almost all BTS members. I remember a video of Jimin asking him what he was doing clinging onto him behind him.
Tumblr media
He did it with the tattoo girl and said there was nothing between them. How could this have been any different?
I feel people aren't used to seeing him interact with girls that much so they get uncomfortable getting glimpses of him around girls.
They will tell you he is the handsiest member of bts but then turn around and act flabbergasted when he gets handsy with anyone that's not their bias.
I'm glad he put those fake rumors to rest.
If that video was him that would have amounted to some heavy charges cos why we peeping at people's homes with cameras 🥲
The creepy things obsessed fans do and the lengths they go to give me chills. No respect for his privacy whatsoever.
He has friends other than jimin. He has FEMALE FRIENDS as well. People need to get used to that fact and stop acting like a disturbed beehive whenever the topic comes up.
He has female friends cousins acquaintances dancers assistants etc and he has a unique dynamic with each.
The entire Fandom needs to grow up.
For now I'm just embarrassed for them. Imagine cooking up a lie that didn't even take 2 secs to be shut down. The audacity they had to come into our dms trying to convince us we are making excuses for him and not accepting facts meanwhile the delulu ones were them all along.
And they seem to forget some of us are part of the groups they meet at to cook up these elaborate narratives just to stirr up shit. They dumb as fuck.

btw you all are always talking about how c-nets are uniquely cruel and asking people not to share anything from weibo, meanwhile this week nicki stans have been doing the most vile insane shit to megan. which isn’t to say that c-nets aren’t cruel, but they just aren’t uniquely cruel……. ppl on the internet across the world are unhinged and do terrible things and when i see ppl talking about c-nets (and to a lesser extent k-nets) sometimes i think yall are just jumping on the chance to call foreigners savages while pretending to be normal

A lot of people wonder why so many fans of Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo hate each other. And after a few years of being a fan of both of them, I think I’ve finally figured it out.
It’s jealousy.
What could each of these stans possibly be jealous of? You ask.
Let me lay it out for you.
On the one hand, you have Xiao Zhan. 😍 Talented, amazing, so beautiful you almost can’t look at him directly Xiao Zhan.
Tumblr media
So why do some WYB fans hate him so much? Because his popularity is insane.
This is from an index poll based on Weibo chatter around the time XZ went to Italy. And I think this is pretty typical… I saw one very similar for Weibo night. And from an objective view, the numbers do seem to defy logic.
Tumblr media
This is a man who is a model, a product endorser, an actor, and — when we’re very lucky — a singer. Currently in that order. (I can feel you picking up your torches and pitchforks but just stay with me 😆) He doesn’t do variety shows or even make a lot of appearances. His live streams for brands are recorded, without fans present or participating in any way. Since the end of 2019, we get to see him in 1, maybe 2 dramas in a year. He did a play (which he’s doing again soon), but not many fans have access to that. He’s got the highest selling single of all time — but he’s never performed it.
It is frankly a CRIME how little we get to see of Xiao Zhan 😭 But as his fan, I assume this is the way he wants it. I don’t question his work choices — you do you, baby ☺️ But haters, they look at the output level and just can’t understand why he’s so much more popular than Wang Yibo. So they’re jealous of the polls and ratings - because no matter what, Xiao Zhan is always on top.
Meanwhile Wang Yibo is EVERYWHERE.
He’s modeling, he’s selling stuff, he’s on tv dramas, he’s on Street Dance of China, he’s dropping singles, he’s performing goddamn interpretive dance to his songs.
Tumblr media
🤩 He’s a movie star with THREE movies coming out this year…
Tumblr media
And WOW do some of XZ’s fans hate him for it 🔥
Why does WYB get to be out there doing all of this? Why not Xiao Zhan??
Tumblr media
If it’s a selfish person who only looks at their fave as a commodity to consume, you can see where it would make them very bitter indeed.
I don’t know the reason for the career differences — I have wonderings, but ultimately I trust in them to do what they want to do, and I sit back and enjoy their work and efforts whenever and however they come. As a turtle, I’m blessed! It’s a shame that all of their fans can’t just enjoy the gifts we’re given.
But haters gotta hate I guess, and well… they can heed this message 😆

Okay I'm gonna post a very WILD theory: Messmer did not have red hair initially‼️
This might be a long one or a short one depending on how well I'm able to summarize my findings but here we go.
Firstly thanks to my friend who found out in this scene, the tarnished is fighting in Messmer's castle (with the flag that has the sigil AND beneath it the Messmer's flame), which makes the knight Messmer's knight.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is also supported by the walking-flame thing that has Messmer's flame & the same circle on the sigil(also found out by my friend).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now as we know, the knights tend to have the same colour of hair as the demigod they follow, for example redmane knight (red) and Godrick knight (ashen). If Messmer has red hair initially, it would make much more sense for his knights to have red ones as well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
However, the knight seems to have white hair/white and black hair instead. Meanwhile interestingly, the lower part seems to have similar shades/colour as Melina's hair but lighter, which I will not elaborate in this post.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In a nutshell, Messmer's other parent is more likely someone with white/light hair, such as Godfrey or the old man in the painting. End of post! (Oh and all the screenshots have watermark cuz I posted on weibo first never mind that lol)
BONUS: his flag is in gold&black (Marika's colour), Messmer you truly are mama's boy😭

A summary of Hengdian rumour and bjyx responsibility
Let's make a quick summary of the recent events. On 18/02/2024 one of the bxgs spread the rumour about Yibo's location based on Douyin app's bug and this made a basis to link Yibo's name to a very horrible and dangerous rumours about AI/DS infection. On 20/02/2024 Yuehua made a statement that they filed a report to police about this slander.
Where does this rumor come from and how can it be connected to Yibo?
Here is the chronology:
1. The base of the rumour is this Weibo post from 15/01/2024 (male celeb, born 1995, partners in Hengdian):
Tumblr media
2. The original rumour was spread on 31/01/2024 (celeb infected H/I/V):
Tumblr media
3. Rumour spreading - 6/02/2024, infected celeb treated in Beijing
Tumblr media
4. Rumour spreading - 13/02/2024
Tumblr media
5. Rumour spreading - 16/02/2024 (wife added)
Tumblr media
/"takeout" - sleeping around/
6. Meanwhile a few celebrities were linked to the rumour, mainly it was actors: Xu Kai (born 1995, for many years filmed in HD) and Wu Jing (filmed in HD, wife; antis even used his old photos from the hospital).
7. Antis tried to link Wang Yibo to the rumour (the reason given - YH's stocks falling) but they couldn't find any connection because Yibo wasn't in Hengdian for years. Later it was found that these "worried shareholders" were all Xiao Zhan's fans in disguise.
8. On 17/02 producer Zhang Huijia posted about the rumour and added some points: two words, surname started x
Tumblr media
9. On 18/02/2024 (morning) bjyx shippers spread the rumour that Yibo was in Hengdian (because of the Douyin app's bug that showed the several kilometers distance on Yibo's post; this kind of tracking other accounts' location is impossible on Douyin).
Wang Yibo's Official Fanclub refuted the location rumour quickly.
Weibo changed the hot search from "Wang Yibo refuted" to "Wang Yibo’s fans refuted". (manipulation of the importance of the statement).
10. Despite the obvious fact that the information about Yibo's location was a baseless rumor, the antis took advantage of the situation and started to connect him to the Hengdian rumor.
Only a few hours later on 18/02 the account Deerdearlove started to spread rumors that the infected celeb is Yibo.
Tumblr media
The rumours were spread by antis and Xiao Zhan's fans on different apps, mostly on WeChat and Douyin. Antis used the photos of the supervision team from the hospital of Fuyang City to mislead people.

Tumblr media
11. On 18/02 (evening) producer Zhang Huijia spread the rumour that the infected celeb is Xiao Zhan (look at the receipt in pos. 8) and the attacks on Wang Yibo intensified.
Xiao Zhan's fans spread rumors on Weibo.
12. 20/02/2024 Yuehua posted a statement that they filed the report on police about the rumour and slander.
Actor Xu Kai also filed the police report.
Conclusions: bjyx responsibility
Analyzing the above chronology, we can easily come to the conclusion that bjyx's responsibility for linking Hengdian rumor to Yibo is obvious.
According to the above chronology we know that until 18/02 Yibo's name was not associated with this rumor due to his lack of connections with Hengdian at that time. By publishing a baseless rumor about Yibo's location, bjyx directly influenced antis' movement and thus directly contributed to actions that harmed Yibo and could damage his reputation.
If it weren't for the quick action of the Offical Yibo fanclub (remember - the only fanclub authorized by YH to deny rumors), the damage could have been even greater. Interestingly, bjyx constantly try to undermine the credibility of this fanclub, which may contribute to the creation of doubts even about the Hengdian rumor itself.
Surprisingly, bjyx completely ignore or even deny their responsibility and blame only the antis and Xiao Zhan's fans who spread it. But the question is: would it be possible without bjyx participation?
The cause and effect relation between the rumour about Yibo's location and linking the Hengdian rumor to him is obvious and should not be subject to any discussion. If bjyx were honest and moral people, they would admit their mistake and apologize to the person who was harmed (Yibo) and I really expected them to do that.
Yet neither of them seem to have the moral courage or decency to admit that their action had truly serious consequences. If they really don't see anything wrong with their behavior, it only reflects poorly on them as people who don't care about Yibo and his good name, and the only thing that matters is the candy chasing and their own pleasures (and honestly, that's what I think).
There is also a second possibility. Some suggest that the "location rumour" was staged just to link Yibo to the Hengdian rumor. Looking at the density of the HD rumor in the time leading up to the bjyx rumor, one might wonder if there isn't some truth to it. Especially since bjyx does not admit to the mistake, which only introduces more questions about the suspicious purpose of their actions.
I leave the final conclusions to you.
Ps. Due to the limited space of the post, I couldn't publish all receipts. Feel free to dm me if you need more proof.
While writing this article I tried to be consistent with the facts. But if you see any mistakes, please dm me.
Thank you!
