oh rhi your fics make me go wild… <3 would you kindly expand on what you mean by the means to an end miya twins would be selfish fuck as husbands/dads (and lbr before then too 🙂‍↕️)
i mean that their wants and 'needs' are always gonna come first, before their wife's and definitely before their kids'
don't get me wrong, they aren't the type to outright resent their kids, they're not physically abusive or anything – in fact to the casual observer they probably come across as the stereotypical 'fun' dad/uncle, happy to spoil the kiddos with fun trips and toys and whatever else
behind closed doors it's a different story. their obsession eclipses any kind of actual parenting. they're always going to be more interested in monopolising their wife's time and attention over their kids' emotional health and wellbeing. so what if one of them's crying or sick or had a nightmare? their wife's spent all morning playing mommy, it's time to give daddy a little love

I’m sorry to all my fans out there but when I was taking about not treating people as a means to an end but as an end in themselves I was just referring to mitski’s jobless monday, “he only loves me when there’s a means he means to end”

Means to an End
Use the related link post to read Means to an End on AO3 at https://archiveofourown.org/works/60070651 by stalirium He never planned to go to the bank that day. He never planned for the building to fall. He sure as hell never planned for the number one hero to pass on his quirk to him, and die shortly after. Years later, six years to be precise, he’s a vigilante on the streets of Mutsutafu. His take down of All For One is no secret, and his presence as the vigilante Omen is adored. He loves his fanbase, but he doesn’t appreciate the constant pursuit of the media for new pictures and flimsy stories. So, when a certain sleep-deprived hero approaches him about a teaching gig, with little-to-no restrictions he’s quite hasty to reply. UA wants anything Izuku is willing to provide for their third years… Wait. Their third years? Like Izuku’s age third years? Class 3A? Oh shit. He’s totally in.   Or, Izuku being the Number One Hero to the public, but a vigilante in actuality and people knowing virtually nothing about him. So, UA offers him a job to teach 3A, and also try and get the teen to have a support system and not go it alone because life at the top is lonely. The worst kind of heartbreak comes when you realize a friend only sees you as a means to their end.
And then even more when you choose to do nothing about it.

Hi Rhi :)) Idk what it is, but I can't stop thinking about married life with the Means to an End Miya twins.
Regardless of who she ends up marrying (on paper), she's got other athlete wives telling her on the daily how she struck gold having the Atsumu Miya as a husband. Or how lucky she is to have wedded Osamu Miya, the handsome and hardworking owner of such a successful restaurant. Aw, you two were high school lovers?? Even better. What a fairytale life you're living — It's a story your future kids will just love! I'm sure the twins absolutely revel in those comments too. It's just more material to stir up her pot.
I would love your thoughts on how they managed to pull off convincing her to sign those marriage papers.
How are the twins as her husband? How is the reader as their wife? How might they be as parents?
Anyway, I love you Rhi! I hope these thoughts are as fun for you to play with as they have been for me! <33
oh it's a living nightmare for sure.
but tbh they've got her under their thumb. do what they want, or they'll ruin her career – because for the time being, she has some semblance of freedom. and if she decides that losing said career, having all those explicit, demeaning videos of her out in the harsh light of day, they're more than willing to become a little more restrictive with the leash they keep her on.
as for how they are as husbands/parents, in a word; terrible :))

yknow AI art has ruined an entire genre of painting to me, i saw one of those smooth anime-realism pieces and immidiately thought ''ugh, AI art'' until i noticed it was posted by an established deviantart user 6 years ago. like ive never been a huge fan of that genre but it looks like a pretty difficult style to master and i feel bad for the artists who specialized in anime-realism only to have their entire market jacked by people typing keywords into midjourney.

if you’re ever in the position to choose between giving up and accepting defeat, and actually trying to fight the ancient unkillable god that is about to peel apart reality like a string cheese, remember this: scientifically speaking, you might as well give it a shot!
1.there were trees at the beginning of the world! there were trees so long ago that they predate bacteria that causes wood to decay. when a tree fell, it would lie there in stasis and there wasn’t any way of breaking down wood xylem on a molecular level in that way.
2. it seems obvious to say, but wood eating bacteria are literally incapable of comprehending what they’re breaking down. It’s just not information conciously available to a microorganism. they don’t know what they’re deconstructing, where it came from, bacteria have no way to even fathom the existence of a tree as a concept.
3. Regardless of the facts above, the world we live in today is a world where wood inevitably decomposes
it is worth fighting the unkillable god no matter how pointless it seems. it is worth taking the risk even though youre trying to accomplish something impossible. the reality in which you live was also once reality in which trees didn’t rot. You live in a reality that allows for existence before the possibility of destruction. you live in a reality where uncomprehending microbes break down matter that is so far beyond the scope of their comprehension that it feels comical to specify something so obvious. you live in a reality that occasionally allows unshakeable physical truths to be altered with no warning.
It is worth fighting the unkillable god because trees are so old they predate the source of their destruction, and it still did not spare them. It is worth fighting the unkillable god because bacteria rots unthinkingly, because there is room in our cosmos for destruction without comprehension on the part of the destroyer. It is worth fighting the unkillable god because now and then reality retracts the promise of immortality without fanfare, and when that happens there is no mercy for the ancient. the unmaking is not softer for the desecrators ignorance. for all things, existence is endless until the exact point where it ends.
so you might as well try to kill the unkillable god. it doesn’t seem likely, but at the beginning of the world, trees didn’t rot. so you never know! you never know
