Isn't attaining perfect shape tempting?
It is common knowledge that protein helps in gaining muscle, but do you know that it also aids in losing weight?
Are you wondering how protein contributes to weight loss? In this blog, we will learn how a protein known for contributing to muscle gain helps with weight loss.
Protein is essential for weight loss because it can help increase the feeling of fullness, boost metabolism, and preserve lean muscle mass. The best protein sources for weight loss are those that are low in calories and saturated fats while providing high-quality protein.
Some Common Protein Sources
Here are some protein sources that are commonly recommended for weight loss:
Lean meats: Skinless poultry, lean cuts of beef or pork, and game meats are excellent sources of protein. Grilling, baking, or broiling these meats is a healthier cooking option compared to frying.
Fish: Fatty fish like salmon, mackerel, and trout are rich in protein and healthy omega-3 fatty acids. These fats can help with satiety and provide other health benefits. Baking or grilling fish is a great way to prepare them.
Eggs: Eggs are a fantastic source of protein and contain essential vitamins and minerals.
Dairy: Low-fat or fat-free dairy products like Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, and skim milk are rich in protein. These options are lower in calories and saturated fats compared to their full-fat counterparts.
Meal Replacement Powder for Weight Loss
Meal replacement powder can be a convenient way to increase protein intake, especially for those who struggle to meet their protein needs through whole foods. Look for meal replacement powders with minimal added sugars and other additives. Check for allergens. Select a meal replacement powder that has a high protein-to-calorie ratio.
The most suitable meal replacement powder varies according to individual preferences and dietary requirements. Various types of supplements are accessible, and each offers its unique advantages.
Here are a few well-liked meal replacement powder protein choices that can be advantageous for weight loss:
Whey Protein:
Whey protein is a quickly digestible protein sourced from milk. It contains all the essential amino acids and is notably high in leucine, a key player in muscle protein synthesis. Scientific studies have demonstrated that meal replacement powder with whey protein can support weight loss efforts by enhancing feelings of fullness and preserving lean muscle mass. Maintaining muscle mass is important for sustaining a higher metabolic rate, which aids in weight management.
Casein Protein:
Casein protein, also derived from milk, differs from whey in its slow digestion rate. It provides a gradual and sustained release of amino acids, leading to prolonged feelings of fullness. This characteristic of meal replacement powder makes it a valuable option for controlling appetite and reducing overall calorie consumption during weight-loss endeavors.
Plant-based sources:
For vegetarians or vegans, there are plenty of plant-based meal replacement powder protein sources like tofu, tempeh, legumes (beans, lentils, chickpeas), and quinoa. These are generally lower in calories and saturated fat than many animal-based proteins.
Conclusion
When incorporating meal replacement powder protein into your diet for weight loss, it's important to consider portion control and overall calorie intake. A balanced diet that includes a variety of foods and regular physical activity is crucial for successful and sustainable weight loss.

Okay but why did Jaskier have two spoons in the prison in season two? Did the prison meal just... come with two spoons? Did he barter with a guard for a second one? Has he been there long enough to have multiple meals with multiple spoons??

What would you choose? :0c
(note: original image is from HERE (link) - but I edited it to add a wider variety of options.. also added $3 extra to the total, even though I know that makes it more uneven lol, I thought if you're adding 10 whole extra items, the money to spend should at least be increased slightly, if that makes sense..)
#I would get orange juice. black coffee. AND iced coffee ($3) because I love the variety of having multiple drinks#then sausage and scrambled eggs ($8). Then sauteed mushrooms ($3)....AND... hrm.. then spending the remaining $4 would be hard#I wish I could get waffles (as they are my favorite and are superior in every way compared to pancakes. donuts. etc.) but I'm not willing#to give up the other savory things just to get them. so... then maybe I could get a biscuit or english muffin? and just put jam or#honey butter or something on it so it can be my replacement 'sweet and bready' thing instead of something from the $5 row??#OR I could also just assume that having the orange juice plus iced coffee would provide enough of a 'sweet element' to the meal#(since I largely prefer savory foods. I only like a tiny bit of sweet added for variety) and thus forego any sort of#'bready' thing entirely and just get the bowl of beans/onion/tomato (I'd leave the avocado since I don't like the#texture of them really lol). THEN I'd have $1 left to get the milk or the black tea... increasing my total of random drinks..#which is always the goal of course.. as a chronic ''person who is sipping at 5 different drinks at their desk simultaneously always'' perso#OR... I could just do.. waffle. scrambled eggs. sausage. mushrooms. and black coffee and orange juice.. which is... okay variety#augh... so difficult.. As my Ideal Breakfast is like a buffet type thing or something where you have like 25 different things to choose fro#and can get a little tiny bit of everything. My eating style is very much like.. I'd rather pick at a small amount of a ton of#different things than just have a very large amount of only one or two things. Thats why I LOVE sample platter type stuff.#So it's like... augh... the ideal option would be a tiny portion of EVERYTHING actually lol...#Difficult to choose...#ANYWAY.. Also no idea why I added croissant instead of bagel. I only thought about that afterwards. I do actually like bagels.#I've only ever even had a croissant like 2 times in my entire life. Yet I've had many bagels. For some reason it stuck out in my mind more#when I was considering 'essential breakfast foods' somehow... how could I forget them... bagels my beloved...#Blame it on the hot weather... 'What in the blazes? The sun hath obliterated the concept of bagels from my miind!'#(< meant to be said in a silly overdramatic elderly wizard accent or something)#Also I don't think ''bowl of beans. onion. avocado. and tomatos.'' is necessarily a breakfast classic or something gbhjjh#but I was just trying to think of a versatile vegetable-ish side that could be full of common breakfast additions#so people could do stuff like ''oh I get the toast option and then the bowl of stuff and I put the avocado on the toast'' etc.#Like a mix and match. You could mix ingredients from different parts. You could put scrambled eggs and bacon and onion#on the bread or soemthing. etc. I just feel like something is always missing if a Full Breakfast Spread#doesnt have some sort of onions or beans or mushrooms or asparagus or spinach like... some sort of thing that isn't just eggs and meat and#bread.. you know? lol..#But then again.. I am the Sampling Plate Style Variety Lover and Tiny Portion Of Food Picker so maybe thats just a me thing.

Every time LDS kids come to my neighborhood I am so so nice to them. I hope they remember the blue haired lady who was kind, when people try to convince them the outside world is bad and scary. (Also they are always so young! I want to feed them cookies and give them Diana Wynne Jones books or something)
Thank you! Honestly, this sort of kindness can go a really long way, even if it doesn't seem like it at the time.
LDS children and missionaries (and the majority of the latter are barely of age) are often the people who interact the most with non-Mormons on a daily basis, and thus are kind of the "face" of the Church to non-Mormons a lot of the time. As a result, they're frequently the ones who actually experience the brunt of antagonism towards the Church, which only reinforces the distrust they've already been taught to feel towards the rest of the world.
It's not that the Church doesn't deserve this antagonism, but a lot of people seem to take this enormous pride in showing up Mormon teenagers who have spent most of their lives under intense social pressure, instruction, expectation, and close observation from both their peers and from older authorities in the Church (it largely operates on seniority, so young unmarried people in particular tend to have very little power within its hierarchies). Being "owned" for clout by non-Mormons doesn't prove anything to most of them except that their leaders and parents are right and they can't trust people outside the Church.
The fact that the Church usually does provide a tightly-knit community, a distinct and familiar culture, and a well-developed infrastructure for supporting its members' needs as long as they do [xyz] means that there can be very concrete benefits to staying in the Church, staying closeted, whatever. So if, additionally, a Mormon kid has every reason to think that nobody outside the Church is going to extend compassion or kindness towards them, that the rest of the world really is as hostile and dangerous as they've been told, the stakes for leaving are all the higher, despite the costs of staying.
So people from "outside" who disrupt this narrative of a hostile, threatening world that cannot conceivably understand their experiences or perspectives can be really important. It's important for them to know that there are communities and reliable support systems outside the Church, that leaving the Church does not have to mean being a pariah in every context, that there are concrete resources outside the Church, that compassion and decency in ordinary day-to-day life is not the province of any particular religion or sect and can be found anywhere. This kind of information can be really important evidence for people to have when they are deciding how much they're willing to risk losing.
So yeah, all of this is to say that you're doing a good thing that may well provide a lifeline for very vulnerable people, even if you don't personally see results at the time.
#jenndoesnotcare#respuestas#long post#cw religion#cw mormonism#i've been thinking about how my mother was the compassionate service leader in the church when i was a kid#which in our area was the person assigned to manage collective efforts to assist other members in a crisis#this could mean that someone got really sick or broke their leg or something and needs meals prepared for them for awhile#or it could mean that someone lost their job and they're going to need help#it might mean that someone needs to move and they need more people to move boxes or a piano or something#she was the person who made sure there was a social net for every member in our area no matter what happened or what was needed#there's an obvious way this is good but it also makes it scarier to leave and lose access#especially if there's no clear replacement and everyone is hostile#i was lucky in a lot of ways - my mother was unorthodox and my bio dad and his family were catholic so i always had ties beyond the church#my best friend was (and is) a jewish atheist so i had continual evidence that virtue was not predicated on adherence to dogma#and even so it was hard to withdraw from all participation in church life and doubly so because the obvious alternative spaces#-the lgbt+ ones- seemed obsessed with gatekeeping and viciously hostile towards anyone who didn't fit comfortable narratives#so i didn't feel i could rely on the community at large in any structural sense or that i had any serious alternative to the church#apart from fandom really and only carefully curated spaces back then#and like - random fandom friends who might not live in my country but were obviously not mormon and yet kind and helpful#did more to help me withdraw altogether than gold star lesbians ever did

Trying out huel for a bit. I ordered some earlier this month and it finally came in. I struggle with getting decent nutrition and my daily vitamins have been giving me headaches due to the vitamin A content (I think this has contributed to my migraines as well) so I'm going to try out complete meal replacement shakes.
So far I have tried the chocolate and vanilla. the chocolate kind of just tastes like chocolate soylent but the vanilla is pretty tasty I can imagine it's a great base for smoothies.
Normally I eat a lot of canned beans so I'm not to worried about gastro issues due to the fiber content but I'll update if they do upset my stomach.
I like that the black edition doesn't have artifical sweeteners which is something I avoid since they trigger my chronic pain symptoms for some reason.

ive talked to a lot of ppl who have taken vyvanse now and i think ik a bit more on how i need to live on it
#1) dopamine drops on lower dosages or high dosage but in the evenings feel like hell and it wont ever stop you have to just breathe#you will stop breathing well and you wont notice it so you have to remember to breathe deeply. this helps immensely for some reason#2) you will stop processing the existence of food as a consumable thing and not just an object like Table or Cardboard. you will not want to#eat anything. you have to buy meal replacement shakes. sweetness is one of the only pleasant flavours. eat protein. eat as much protein as#you can. down those meal replacament shakes. get enough for a day. try not to into calorie deficits on vyvanse.#3) your mind will be searching for cognitively complex tasks and everything else dwarfs in comparison. dont lay down. do something.#4) you have to exercise. fully exercise at the gym not a home 20 min work out. you need to push your body right now so that you can be ok#5) nothing will be as intense and vivid and beautiful and there will be a layer of seperation between you snd reality even on a lower dosage#this is fine. this is the primary price. sunlight helps and so does doing complex tasks but you cant avoid this. remind yourself that this#is a self-induced thing and its temporary and itll fade.#6) youve been ship of theseus'd into a new person and this effect only increases later into the day. any conclusion you reach about yourself#is most likely not applicable to your non-vyvanse self.#7) carry chapstick around. keep drinking water. dry mouth starts 5 minutes after taking it#8) some of your friends have a reduced range of emotion and this makes them more stable but less capable of experiencing intense joys#and sadnesses. look at them. listen to their perspective. live like them when youre on the medication.#9) music is still gorgeous#10) you will feel very hot very fast. wear layers you can take off.#11) pick up a bow and shoot. keep shooting. keep going. shoot at least 50 arrows if you can. feel the pain in your arms and your shoulders#and then keep shooting.

In pursuing weight loss goals, many individuals turn to weight loss shakes and supplements as a convenient and potentially effective solution. These products claim to help with appetite control, boosting metabolism, and providing essential nutrients while reducing calorie intake.
This comprehensive guide will explore the world of weight loss shakes and supplements, exploring their benefits, ingredients, potential drawbacks, and tips for incorporating them into a balanced weight loss journey.
Differentiating between meal replacement shakes and dietary supplements
First, let's understand what weight-loss shakes and supplements are.
Meal replacement shakes are designed to provide a convenient substitute for a whole meal. They aim to deliver a balance of macronutrients (protein, carbohydrates, and fats) and micronutrients (vitamins and minerals) while controlling calorie intake.
Dietary supplements are not intended to replace meals but to provide additional nutrients that may be deficient in one's diet. They can be used to fill nutritional gaps or address specific health concerns.
Benefits of Weight Loss Shakes and Supplements

Fiber (soluble and insoluble)
Vitamins and minerals (Vitamin D, B vitamins, etc.)
Healthy fats
Natural sweeteners
Probiotics and digestive enzymes
Choosing the Right Product
Reading labels and nutritional information
Avoiding weight loss shakes and supplements with excessive added sugars and artificial additives
Considering personal dietary restrictions and preferences
Combining Shakes and Whole Foods
Striking a balance between shakes and regular meals: Identify specific times when using a weight loss shake and supplement would be most beneficial, such as busy mornings, post-workout recovery, or when you're on the go. Plan to replace meals strategically.
Choosing whole, nutrient-dense foods: Select whole, nutrient-dense foods that provide a wide range of vitamins, minerals, fiber, good fats, and phytonutrients. These foods contribute to overall health and satiety.

Fitness and Exercise
The role of exercise in weight loss: Engaging in physical activity burns calories, creating a calorie deficit that is essential for weight loss. While a balanced diet is crucial, regular physical activity significantly enhances the weight-loss process
Timing shakes around workouts: Consuming a protein-rich weight loss shake and supplement within an hour after your workout helps support muscle recovery and growth by providing essential nutrients when your body needs them the most.
Protein supplementation for muscle recovery: Protein supplementation aids muscle recovery by providing essential amino acids necessary for repair and growth after exercise.
Tracking Progress and Adjustments
Monitoring weight loss milestones: It involves tracking and assessing your progress at key intervals to gauge the effectiveness of your weight loss efforts.
Making necessary changes to the supplement regimen: Adjusting supplement usage to align with changing goals or health needs
Reassessing goals and objectives involves reviewing and potentially modifying your objectives to ensure they remain relevant and achievable throughout your journey.
Winding Up
Weight loss shakes and supplements can be valuable tools when used strategically within the context of a balanced diet and active lifestyle. While they offer convenience and potential benefits, they are most effective when combined with whole, nutrient-rich foods and regular exercise.
Remember, sustainable weight loss is a journey that involves making healthy choices that align with your body's unique requirements and goals.

At work they just put up a food vending machine (to stop us from going out to eat so much and increasing our productivity) which i'm not going to use but. There's one coveted item in there that usually costs 3,99€ for 0,50€ capped at one per person per day. I have just sold mine for 2€. This machine will develop a black market around it the likes of which i haven't seen since the illegal hospital jam packet trade ring.
