Discussion with my friends
Me: (post a picture of young Max Lorenz) Look! This Tristan looks so cute! With two big watery eyes.
My friends: OHHHHHHHHH––!
Me: (post a picture of Kristen Flagstad): What an elegant lady! She must be the queen of elves.
My friends: Exactly.
Me: (post a video of Franco Corelli): Awwwww––the Prince Charming of opera!
My friends: Oh man I can't resist that.
Actually most of they're not so familiar with operas, but good looks are popular everywhere.I hope they will have time to appreciate those beautiful voices.
I also hope no one will say something like "He sang like a Beagle" under videos of Jon Vickers. We Chinese Wagnerians have gotten a nickname for him: Mr. Brush, which means he had a rather rough voice. At first it was a negative nickname, but, now it contains no offense, we love his unique voice and outstanding interpretation after all.

Why aren't there more lorenz attractors in this color scheme. (I just hue-shifted wikipedia's lorenz image) This world needs neon bisexual neurodivergent chaos butterflies.
Tumblr media
I wanna use my butterfly accelerator to smash particles and anti-particles together to discover the yin-yang of the universe, origin of all order and chaos, the mobius strip ouroboros snake that somehow got out of balance leading to the big bang and the accelerating expansion of the universe. The disturbance so small, yet it created everything.

Part 3
On the night of the concert I put on my black combat boots . Underneath them were ripped black fishnets. Then I put on my black lederhosen (I will put these on every day until the day I die, don't judge me you prep). I brushed my hair and made it look all flat. I felt a little depressed then so I pet Minnie (she's a good girl, fuck you). I read a depressing book because I really wanted to be as depressed as humanly possible while going on a fun outing to really bum everyone out. I put on TONS of black eyeliner. It was pretty much all over my face like a raccoon and a skunk both exploded on my face. I didn’t put on foundation because I have skin anyway. I drank some coffee so I was ready to go to the concert.
I went outside. Richard was waiting there in front of his stolen car. He was wearing a soft pink t-shirt, baggy black sweat pants, black nail polish and a little eyeliner (AN: A lot fo kewl boiz wer it ok!).
“Hi Richard!” I said in a depressed voice.
“Hi Paul Darkness Troglodyte Dementia Landers.” he said back. We walked into his black Mercedes-Benz (the license plate said 666) and drove to the place with the concert. On the way we listened excitedly while somehow still being as depressed as possible to Marilyn Manson (he's a good friend, he's cool). We both smoked cigarettes and drugs. We smoke all the drugs! Including those that shouldn't be smoked! They taste like chocolate. When we got there, we both hopped out of the car. We went to the mosh pit at the front of the stage and jumped up and down as we listened to that band we're both unfamiliar with.
'lalalalalalalala pay us please lalalala whatever '(I don’t own da lyrics 2 dat song).
“Olli is so fucking hot.” I said to Richard, for no particular reason whatsoever. But I remembered he went to the sauna today so it's probably true.
Suddenly Richard looked sad.
“What’s wrong?” I asked as we moshed to the music. Then I caught on.
“Hey, it’s ok I don’t like him better than YOU!” I said.
“Really?” asked Richard sensitively and he put his arm around me all protective.
“Really.” I said. “Besides I'm pretty sure he's actually really hot at this point at the sauna. Remember he told us all he was going to go today? I bet his skin is about to melt at that place."
The night went on really well, and I had a great time. So did Richard. After the concert, we drank some beer and did more of those chocolate tasting and smelling drugs. We got GC concert tees because why not. Richard and I crawled back into the Mercedes-Benz, but Richard didn’t go back to the hotel, instead he drove the car into……………………… a parking lot!

My Week(s) in Reviews: June 9, 2024
Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (George Miller, 2024)
Tumblr media
Disappointing. It's impossible to not compare this movie to Fury Road. The sad thing is, when you do compare this to Fury Road, every single aspect of it pales in comparison. Anya is really good, here, but just never feels like Furiosa. And Chris Hemsworth is a blast, but he goes full-ham in the most distracting way imaginable. Then there's Miller's direction, which is tedious compared to his work on Fury Road. The structure of the film is awkward, and the pacing is damn-near unbearable, draining the action set-pieces of almost all of the balls-to-the-wall adrenaline in which every single moment of Fury Road was drowning. And the cinematography is a complete bore compared to the eye-melting shots by which Fury Road was almost exclusively composed. All that being said, on its own, Furiosa is not a bad movie. Unfortunately, however, it's impossible to experience it on its own in a world where the infinitely superior Fury Road exists. - 6/10
In the Land of Saints and Sinners (Robert Lorenz, 2024)
Tumblr media
I really like this brand of slow-burn, quietly human, small-town action-thrillers. Add in this stellar cast and that pitch-perfect climax, and this is the best of its kind I've come across in at least the past few years. - 9/10
The Beekeeper (David Ayer, 2024)
Tumblr media
Far from good, but just action-packed enough to keep it from being a complete waste of time. - 4.5/10
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (Wes Ball, 2024)
Tumblr media
The absence of Andy Serkis felt significant. But other than that, this wasn't bad. Overlong? Definitely. But far from bad. I don't have much to say, really. The mo-cap work was fantastic, and there were some really interesting/exciting set-pieces. The cast were pretty solid straight through, with the highlights definitely being Freya Allan and Kevin Durand, who steals every second of screen-time he has. - 8/10 For Reference... My Updated Scores for the New Planet of the Apes Films: Rise: 7.5/10 Dawn: 9/10 War: 9.5/10 Kingdom: 8/10
I also revisited Peter Jackson's The Frighteners and Christopher Landon's Happy Death Day & Happy Death Day 2U. The Frighteners is every bit as amazing as it was the last time I watched it, except for how poorly the effects have aged. And the Happy Death Day movies were just as fun as they were in cinemas. I really wish we'd get more of that concept and delivery, and more of Jessica Rothe as a scream queen.
Enjoy!
-Timothy Patrick Boyer.

also she’s a paige lorenze disciple, she follows paige fanaccs lol
i know this is probs not the type of goss u usually do hahaa
lmaoooo she is and this has been proved many times over. i'm always hesitant to dunk on people for this though because realistically over half the grid has horrific politics but the men somehow always escape the allegations while the women are held accountable and it's like wait but you think charles or max are some beacon of liberal views??? the paige lorenze thing is very funny though

How the fuck do all those hockey players get crazy girls after them?
You have the Emma MacDonald and Kate Seguin. You also have Sammy and her whole story with Luke and her going to the media. I remember hearing of one of Auston Matthews ex flings and hookup being something else and tried to spread hate on any girl he was with on Tumblr back in the days. Apparently Willy Nylander’s girlfriend was problematic and threatened people when they exposed her racist and fat phobic behavior and her past as a puck bunny blog owner (and just an ohl groupie who slept with Max Domi a lot). And I am sure there are more stories and more to come. I felt kind of bad for her sometimes, but Paige Lorenze was just a whole saga (but Kasperi seems like a massive dickhead too). Danielle is quite the character. Swayman’s girl seems to have shut down blogs when her family history came up.
Are they permanently concussed and they can’t make rational decisions? Like can’t they see the red flags? Are they that pussy drunk? Like some of these girls aren’t even the shit…Like not to be mean, they could have way better girls. These girls and it might sound misogynistic (and those guys also are the problem of they tolerate and are attracted to their behavior—but some might not have seen the bad side and it was hidden who knows) seem so calculated. Like isn’t it obvious to them that they just want to use them. They are just trying to get to them for that wag life.
Most guys don’t think about stuff like that when they go out with girls. Them being “pussy drunk” is one way of looking at it and can be a factor. But it has to do with them looking at these girls for face value without looking at their mannerisms. Yes she’s pretty but if she’s being overly possessive or appears everywhere you are that’s a red flag.
They usually don’t realize it till someone else mentions it to the probably because they really aren’t thinking about things like that.

In the few years since its launch, TikTok has already altered the face of the social media landscape, attracting more than 1 billion users and leading competitors to replicate some of its most unique features.
The impact of that explosive growth and the ‘TikTok-ification’ of the internet at large on social media users remains little understood, experts warn, exacerbating concerns about the impact of social media on our habits and mental health.
“It’s embarrassing that we know so little about TikTok and its effects,” said Philipp Lorenz-Spreen, a research scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development in Berlin. “Research often lags behind industry, and this is an example of an instance where that could become a big problem.”
The lack of understanding in how TikTok affects its users is particularly concerning given the app’s massive popularity among young people, experts say. Increasingly called “the TikTok generation”, Gen Z prefers the platform to other social media, with nearly six in 10 teenagers counting themselves as daily users. The majority of US teens have accounts on TikTok, with 67% saying they have ever used the app and 16% saying they use it “almost constantly”.
“We owe it to ourselves and to the users of these platforms to understand how we are changed by the screens we use and how we use them,” said Michael Rich, a pediatrician who studies the impact of technology on children at Boston Children’s hospital.
“We need more information to make informed decisions on how we’re going to help younger people understand how to use them thoughtfully and mindfully – or not use them at all.”

📚 STUFF I READ 📚
🥰 The Shabti (Megaera C. Lorenz, author; Matt Haynes, narrator) - wonderfully fun supernatural adventure romance set in the '30s. Just delightful. feat Horatio, a heckin' chonker of a cat. ilu horatio, even if you don't have a neck.
🥰 The Secret Lives of Color (Kassia St. Clair, author & narrator) - {nonfiction} This was rec'd in one of my discord servers as 'If you are ever in the need for a pleasant-sounding British woman telling you Interesting Facts About Colors then may I recommend The Secret Lives of Color by Kassia St. Clair, which is exactly that for 8 hours' and it was precisely that and it was wonderful and soothing and so interesting.
🥰 MateHub: Legend (MateHub #1) (Marie Reynard) - erotic romance about a wolf shifter porn star who finds a Mate™ in his new human co-star. Tropetastic & hot af, exactly what I wanted from a book with this set up. But my fave thing was the absolutely hilarious porn star names: Richard Knotz, our main MC wolf shifter. Hunter Savage, Max Hardwood, Trick Wilde (coyote shifter, natch). I snorted with laughter every time one came up. [really love a book that just knows what it's trying to do and executes beautifully on that premise]

FEA character mini-analyses: golden deer as wonderlandians
Here is part 3 of explaining why I cast characters the way I did in FEA (my ongoing 3H/EAH crossover fic)! Part 1, about the Black Eagles, is linked here, and Part 2 on the Blue Lions is here.
So the Golden Deer are special... in that I had to make up a third category for them (since apparently Roybels were never made a real thing, thanks for nothing Poppy). I call them "the Wonderlandians" but only half of them are from Wonderland... It matters not.
Without further ado, let us begin!
Hilda as Kitty Cheshire: you can't look at Hilda Valentine Goneril and tell me she wouldn't make the perfect Cheshire Cat. Kitty excels at getting people to do what she wants them to do, and though Hilda's brand of manipulation isn't quite the same, it's close enough. She's more exuberant than sly, but she's also lazy. See? Everything balances out.
Lorenz as Lizzie Hearts: just turn up Lorenz's voice to max volume, make Riddlish his first language, and there ya go. Overbearing, arrogant, and noisy, all in one go! Replace red roses with red hearts and you've got a man. Okay, but really, Lorenz would take his destiny very seriously--and no doubt be a subject of Claude's relentless needling for it.
Marianne as Rosabella Beauty: what more needs to be said? Our sweet, animal-loving little lady + the curse of the beast = daughter of Beauty and the Beast. There is nothing more to be said.
Lysithea as Ginger Breadhouse: with such a major sweet tooth, Lysithea couldn't be anyone else's kid. Okay, she could have been Hansel or Gretel's kid, but I wanted her to have Edelgard parallels so being the daughter of a witch makes more sense. No, I couldn't include her backstory in this setting, but did I give any logical explanation as a replacement? ... Also no.
Ignatz as Bunny Blanc: Ignatz has bunny vibes. He doesn't seem anywhere as anxious as the White Rabbit, but his shyness suits the image of a rabbit. They even have the same spectacles!
Leonie as Jillian Beanstalk: Leonie has that scrappiness that makes me think of Jack, so... let's say Jeralt in this AU was a famous giant-killer...
Raphael as Tiny: first of all, Tiny deserves more appreciation, and second of all, I couldn't think of any bodybuilding fairytale characters. Raphael is genuinely such a sweet guy who just wants to live a good hearty life, and that's what I imagine the giants are like before they go all fe-fi-fo-fum.
And that, my folksies, is that! Okay, I'll admit I was even less logical with this group of castings... but can you blame me? It's the Golden Deer.
Lastly, but definitely not least: the house lords, Rhea, and other miscellaneous characters!

2, 14, 16, and 19 please!
Hey hey!! Sorry this took a little bit, my sleep schedule has been off - meant to answer this a bit earlier but I kept falling asleep haha. Thank you for asking! :3
(Under cut because this got long)
2 - Do their table manners live up to Lorenz's standards?
While all of them have good table manners, but Lorenz has rather lofty expectations haha.
Lucien was raised in a noble house, so his table manners are probably the best of the group due to expectations and stuff that was drilled into him. That said, Lucien doesn't really. like Lorenz. So I can absolutely see him messing around and letting "standards slip" purely to annoy him.
Tyler and Max's table manners are decent, but Xander wasn't too strict about that stuff with them. I reckon Lorenz probably wouldn't be too offended by them - both would absolutely offer him food much like Raphael did in their C Support so that may change things.
Lunaris has good table manners for the most part, it's more that he just doesn't really care. If he wants to eat with his hands then he's going to go for it, regardless of the company. I can't imagine Lorenz will be too pleased with that lol.
14 - Do they prefer form or function?
In terms of clothes and weapons:
Max and Tyler prefer function over form for both. As far as they're concerned they can make whatever it is look pretty later.
Lucien values function for weapons, but form for clothes.
Lunaris prefers function. That said, he has sacrificed some function in his timeskip outfit to make it look cooler (namely the dangly bits attached to his belt and the lack of boots).
I may have misunderstood the question somewhat but this is what I think it's asking?? Sorry if it's not.
16 - Who could they win an arm wrestle against? A chess match? A round of darts?
Tyler enjoys having the occasional arm wrestling match with Petra and Caspar. She hopes one day to be strong enough to where she can go up against Raphael with confidence.
Max enjoys arm wrestling too, but his main area is darts. Little guy has great precision. I honestly think he'd have a few rounds with Claude and put up a good fight. He can beat everyone in his own group though.
Lucien loves playing chess. He and Yuri go head to head sometimes, and he plans to ask Claude for a match too. I'd say they're about evenly matched though.
Lunaris is enjoying being taught about these things and has had a friendly arm wrestle with Max. Max won, but Luna doesn't plan on losing so easily next time.
19 - Sweet or savoury?
Max and Lunaris have a serious sweet tooth, which may explain why the two of them constantly seem to be baking treats together. Lucien has a preference for sweet things too.
Tyler, however, prefers savoury food.

The young man’s values had been rewritten by his own mistakes. Will the young man, adoring the experimental subject, offering a bouquet of flowers, be able to return to how he once was?
Soul Gun Commentary:
Glittering stars adorn the silent night sky. Atop their sparkling glow is the form of something beloved. Staring at the single ray of light drifting down, he murmurs his wish to protect.
