Matthew's Words, Lao Tzu's Words, and "Capital in the 21st Century": Their Similarities (Essay)

The words of Lao Tzu and the Bible are very similar, aren't they? The title of Matthew and the 77th chapter of Lao Tzu, "The way of heaven takes from what is abundant and gives to what is lacking. However, the actual human society is the opposite."

It just occurred to me that people "want to climb high mountains." This is called "positive feedback". On the other hand, if you try to raise something at the bottom of the valley, it will return to its original position. This is called "negative feedback". I think it's much more stable than climbing a high mountain with a one-sided attitude. Chapter 28 of Lao Tzu states, "If you learn the power of hardness while maintaining weakness, you will become a valley in the world. If you do so, you will acquire unchanging virtue."

Here, the words of Matthew are, "For those who have will be given more and become rich, and those who do not have will be taken away even from what they have" (Matthew 13:12).

This passage is very similar to Lao Tzu's words.

This is because even after five years since the Lehman Shock (September 2008), the economy was still not booming, and the Great East Japan Earthquake of March 2011 struck. As a result, those who are vulnerable to the disaster will become even more impoverished, and if they follow the path of blind reconstruction, the relative poverty rate will expand even more in the future. Those who have it become richer and those who do not become poorer.

Some people call this the “Matthew effect”.

It is a principle that further increases the discrimination between the poor and the rich.

In the long run, the return on capital (r) is greater than the economic growth rate (g). As a result, wealth is concentrated, and the more the rate of return on capital exceeds the rate of economic growth, the more wealth is accumulated by capitalists. The main theme of this book is the instability of society and the economy when wealth is not distributed fairly. To correct this disparity, he proposes the introduction of a progressive wealth tax, also globally. (Thomas Piketty: "Capital in the 21st Century")

But listen, I think I know what the answer is. I think, deadass, that the Lords in Black are weak to love. I've decently recently watched ALL the Hatchetfield series for the first time, at least to my knowledge I've watched it all. And I'm new to the fandom so I don't know if this is something everyone knows but just don't mention.

Let's start with The Guy who Didn't like musicals, which is actually mostly negative proof to my point at a glance, but LISTEN

Charlotte and Sam were not in love and I don't think they had been for a long time, and because Sam is no longer Sam once he becomes one of the hivemind, they couldn't.

Most importantly, when Paul and Emma were having a moment, Char and Sam attacked, interrupting. Before they could kiss near the end, Emma spat up blood.

And it is very hard to tell how much of Paul was left in the end during Inevitable.

Now looking at Black Friday, love did win, as far as the Lord of Black magic is concerned. Lex was able to break through to save Hannah, Lex was able to remind Tom how much he loved Tim and break him out of his trance. Of course, the secondary threat Wiggly set up undercut this.

And in Nerdy Prudes? Well, lust saved the day, technically, but I do find it interesting that what the LiB asked for specifically Pete and or Steph to kill the other.

but I genuienely believe the best proof I have is Nightmare Time, Watcher World. Blinkey loses, there's no way around it, he lost. Big time. To Bill and Alice Woodward, because Bill was able to break free of Blinky's control when he saw how scared Alice was, and because Alice shot Blinky to save her dad.

But the most important evidence to me? General MacNamara, or rather what he had to say to Paul.

He mentions how he's supposed to kill Paul, but thanks to his knowledge of the unknown he's come around to a new way of thinking. (Side note: i deadass think if there is a Queen in White equivelent to the Black Book, that MacNamara might have pulled it out then when he offers Paul reading material).

He wasn't concerned about going to save any friends, but when Paul admitted he hoped there could be more between him and Emma, he authorized him to use his firearm. He did the same for Lex in Black Friday, when Lex needed to save Hannah.

But I think it has to be pretty strong love, like the love between family or perhaps those who just keep. falling. in love. no matter the universe
