I wish we could edit High School Musical 3 and just cut out Matt Prokop. He would later be an abusive POS boyfriend to Sarah Hyland and that's ruined all of his past roles for me.
Here are my top picks for Troy's understudy
Jason. Just have him come on stage and be Jason.
Zeke. He's a great character and deserves more screen time. Plus, he gets a scene with Sharpay??? Say less.
Troy's dad. Tell me this wouldn't be iconic. Obviously he can't have a stage kiss with Sharpay but he could find a humorous way around it. Ms Darbus would get a kick out of this. Someone's dad randomly getting pulled on stage? Hilarious. If you also know he's never wanted anything to do with the dramatic arts but here he is, extra hilarity.
You know those kids who auditioned in the first movie and they were bad? Bring one of them back. I love a callback.
Martha?? What else did she have going on, tbh?
Throw a jersey on Ms Darbus and put her in. Same situation as Troy's dad, she would kill this but not be weird with a child.
I feel like any of these options would've been funnier than throwing a laundry basket full of costumes and props on this random guy we barely know and letting him make Sharpay super uncomfortable on stage. I don't care how much people hate Sharpay, no one deserves to be humiliated like that in public. If he did that at my retail job, he'd get written up for sexual harassment. I tried looking at the scene and ignoring his future as a domestic abuser, but I still just didn't see how it was supposed to be funny. The joke is that Sharpay has her personal space invaded by someone she doesn't know or like, and they won't take any of her cues to back off, and this is all done very publicly and while she can't escape? Yeah that's not funny.
With my options, Sharpay and the movie audience know these characters. They know Sharpay and can probably take a hint when to back off. They're also funny. They may not sing well, but they can entertain the audience.

I just googled this ex of hers. He quit acting and just this year for "aggravated assault against his girlfriend following a public incident in his hometown at Victoria, Texas and for resisting arrest."

Wait why would Matt Prokop comment on Vanessa's post?! Didn't her best friend file a restraining order against him back in the day🫣 Now sir...
he’s such a loser and he said those abuse claims was a “lie” 💀😒

WHL champions!!!
your seattle thunderbirds! me oh my i do love a trophy ceremony!!! this one was better than the big 10 trophy ceremony because every boy got to take a lap so we got to see the handoff pecking order, but also not as good because all these good canadian boys wear their championship snapbacks facing forward which is simply not how god intended them to be worn.
luke prokop led the handshake line and delayed it bc he was hugging practically the entire winnipeg ice. our captain did a real nice job of lofting the trophy to be surrounded by the team, which is the most important moment of a trophy ceremony of course. he seems like a good boy and i wish him the best in calgary.
i love to see happy boys jumping up and down and hugging each other! i also love to see sad boys kneeling dejectedly on the ice. sorry to elf faced matt savoie but your canadian tears are pleasing to me.
tonight’s game was not the thrilling high-scoring affair that i have come to expect from this superteam, but they got the job done. (sorry to jes and liz, who braved their first t-birds experience but did not get to see the guenther/lambert/schaefer line work their usual magic.) my good boy jeremy hanzel had a very important primary assist on the first goal! i am gonna miss this team! they were a great little spring fling!!!

Out of all the minor characters in the HSM trilogy EJ reminds me the most of Jimmie Zara from HSM3. Both Jimmie and EJ’s nicknames are “Rocket-Man.” Both Jimmie and EJ are athletes. Both Jimmie and EJ have an obsession with Troy Bolton. Jimmie is more obsessed with the real person while EJ is more obsessed with the fictional character. Both Jimmie and EJ were Troy Bolton’s understudy one point. Both Jimmie and EJ are played by an actor named “Matt.” Jimmie was played by Matt Prokop in HSM3.
EJ and Jimmie Zara have superficial similarities (The Rocket Man commonality has always felt like a fun Easter egg to me), but the characters couldn't be more different.
Jimmie is a fun foil for Troy Bolton, but that's where my interest in the character lives and dies. He delivers some funny moments, and there's something to be said about the Wildcats' impact on the school that now basketball players from a younger year are starting to become interested in theater, if (familiarly) reluctantly at first.
Regardless, Jimmie isn't as complex as EJ. But that's okay. He's not supposed to be in HSM 3.
EJ has had three seasons of impressive character development. Jimmie gets a few minutes in the final movie of a beloved franchise. They're just not all that comparable.

Shapiro Casting: Jason La Padura Director of Photography: Robert Brinkmann Co-Producer: Brian Zeilinger-Goode Visual Effects Supervisor: Dan Schmit Supervising Sound Editor: Mark Friedgen Costume Design: Rebekka Sorensen Movie Reviews: Reno: **Student film festival meets beauty pageant.** I’m one of those guys who does not believe chick films are for girls alone, actions are for men, as well as magic films for kids. I watch them all, well, at least I admit that. So, not in my childhood, but overall I’ve seen many DCOM and I’ve liked many of them. This film came half a decade ago, I was aware of it, but only now I had watched it and it got me by surprise. I thought it would me another mean girl tale, that’s where I was wrong. Well, in the initial few minutes, that’s how it looked, but everything has changed since the beginning of the second act. That was the biggest plus point of this film. Even though predictable scenes, still it felt good enough. The character transformation, the way it was done was very smart. At one stage you hate, then a soft corner develops. It is a television film, but that’s not how it looked. The quality of the story was like a theatrical film. If they had risked on that, they definitely would have succeeded. I would say a bad decision by the production house, but still the product delivered more than its expectation. The casting was good, All of them were new face to me, except Sasha Pieterse. Expecting a sequel for a good/successful film is so common with its fans. I thought about the same, but seems they are not interesting in one which was kind of confirmed in the end itself. Even though if they decide to make, it won’t be as good as this one. Because the main story, all happened in here. Just like ‘Taken’ which is very powerful original film, not suitable for followups. This is a silly concept, but very nice film. I totally suggest it. _8/10_

Furry Vengeance is hilarious!
Hey guys! I’m here to do a review on the movie “Furry Vengeance!” I love this movie because it’s hilarious! The movie is about a real-estate developer trying to build a new housing subdivision but is disrupted by local woodland creatures that don’t want their homes disturbed. With the cast of Brendan Fraser, Brooke Shields, Ricky Garcia, Eugene Cordero, Patrice O’Neal, Jim Norton, Matt Prokop,…
