One of my favourite things in Heroes of Olympus is just how serious the ancient gods and people take the bullshit demigods say or do. Like Percy yells "Die, Romans!" and throws a butter popcorn scented grenade and Nike's reaction isn't "Stop fooling around!!! You can't trick me!!" or "Be more serious about killing each other!!" but instead just "That popcorn was not fatal!". Peak humor.

Imagine if Heroes of Olympus gets a live adaptation and when Hazel is yelling at Jason for wanting to leave Nico behind, Percy starts slow clapping, and at first everyone's like "wtf" then he and Annabeth start singing "oh golly, the road is gettin bumpy. Cause I got me some friends that just can't get along"

Leo: I don’t pay attention to what other guys look like. That’s probably because I hang out with Jason! [cue description of Jason.] How will I ever get a girlfriend if he’s constantly hanging around me being all handsome and heroic?

Piper: I haven’t stopped thinking about Reyna since I met her in New Rome. Sure, Jason has repeatedly stated that he’s not romantically interested in her, but like. Reyna is literally perfect? She’s so beautiful and powerful? How would she not be on his mind all the time??

Jason: I met Cupid and one of the first things he asked me was if I was still doubting myself. My friend was outed and I’ve had an unshakable urge to tell him that I get how he’s feeling since. Also yes I still remember the outfit Leo was wearing when we met several months ago vividly. For no reason.

While still fixated on TMNT at large, I am especially not able to stop thinking about Bad End Ninja Turtles, an au comic by @butterfilledpockets. 2003's "Same as it Never Was" Raph may not have ever experienced the Ninja Tribunal arc, AND I don't think Rise movie Leo still has his powers, so maybe this was just as much of a surprise for the both of them as it was for Ronin. at least we know for sursies Don-bot has seen magic shit before.

I was watching Rise animatics to pass the time and ran across the animatic for probably my favorite scene in the whole show? So I absolutely had to watch it. And then my jaw dropped

What has always always always stood out to me is that Raph has no markings. That’s only increased when the turtles use their power. Mikey, Donnie, and Leo all have markings that glow. Even April’s bat glows

BUT

In the animatic for the episode Anatawa Hitorijanai I found this

When the turtles unlock their power, their markings grow to cover their bodies more than they already did

Donnie’s markings mostly just expand upon what he already gas

Leo gets another pair of stripes on his legs, not much actually changed there

Mikey’s shoulder markings turn into bullseyes, same with his legs. I’m not sure if the things on his forearms are extensions of his normal wrist wraps (I think that’s what they are. The placement of them is exactly the same)

And I was thinking about how Raph not having markings is even more out of place

His brand new markings are even showcased in the fight against the Shredder
