A wild Kujin has been spotted!
Hey folks! Because I wasn't able to gift you with a new chapter of Jagged Pieces last year, here is a little something for y'all: I present to you our favourite mofo, Kujin!
I recently bought a tablet to replace my dead laptop in the hope of completing my WIP. But my dumb ass didn't know that you couldn't write on Word or Libre Office with a Samsung tab 🥲 (I'm supposed to get a new laptop at the end of the month to remedy this little problem, so hang in there, the end is near!!)
Soooo instead of working on rewriting JP's latest chap, I drew Kujin. I'm shit at digital art so I used an existing fanart of Minato (the irony!) to get this result, though I unfortunately can't find the artist's blog to credit them... :/
Here is the original art though: kudos to that artist!!

Whenever someone tries to make a point about something the Konoha kunoichis, I need to make a pause and remind them how out of character they were in some of those moments.
Kishimoto pretty much abandoned Sakura and Ino's friendship and then tried to bring it back during the War arc. Ino lost her sensei and then her dad, and when was Sakura? You mean to tell me she wouldn't care? About any of it? Or when Sasuke was declared to be killed, do you mean to tell me that Ino wouldn't have run to find Sakura?
The way Hinata was written on Shippuden???? Naruto aside, people forget that Hinata refused to give up during the Chunning Exams and forced Neji to almost kill her if he wanted the victory. She was stubborn, she was prideful too, she had more going on than simply a crush on Naruto. She was told by her father she was a failure and yet she didn't give up on becoming a kunoichi, did she?
Then why is that Shippuden wrote her like her sole ambition was Naruto, hm?
And Tenten? She was MEAN when she wanted to be because she was highly competitive. We know that she wanted to train under Tsunade, so where did the death of that dream take her? She's such a powerful kunoichi and yet we know so little about her personality, her life...
We got "Ino and Hinata know some medic min techniques" in the most random way possible... We know Sakura would walk around with Hinata even, so what about their girl bonding moments during the genin to Shippuden years?
It made me so angry whenever the girls treated each other like strangers in Shippuden. So many stupid situations made to highly their teammates even if I meant to write the girls out of character...
#Hinata was ambitious back then!!! Yes she was inspired by Naruto by the fight was her own#she didn't fight for him she fight for herself#the whole point of their connection is that they were both losers rooting for each other to succeed#out of the Team 7 members Sakura was the one who spend more time with the rookie 9#I'm not saying they should like her better than Naruto but they shouldn't definitely know her better!!#and you mean to tell me they didn't care about her mental state when they were told that Sasuke was to be killed?#none of them?#I love Sai but Kishimoto took the character who knew less about it to give Sakura a lecture and no one else showed up? at any moment?#I'm convinced Kishimoto only did that to force the Sakura confession to Naruto and feed the love triangle agenda#it sucks to be the female love interest in a story focus on the male parts of the love triangle#I'm actually glad Kishimoto didn't write Tenten so ooc but it's still a shame we got so little Team Gai on Shippuden#they were mostly filler after being one of the strongest genin teams in Konoha#bless Temari and Tsunade for being the best written female characters of Naruto#because I'll never forget Kushina wanted to be Hokage and they gave it to her husband#anyway#naruto#sakura haruno#ino yamanaka#hinata hyuuga#tenten naruto#kunoichi#kunoichis#naruto female characters#naruto shippuden#konoha kunoichis

Okay, so. No one needs to hear me out on this. I’m just saying. One day I’m going to crack and heave out all my biting commentary about Naruto gender and clan and lineage politics through the lens of an always-a-different-sex Kakashi fic or outline, and it’s just going to… exist… out there.
No one else gets changed, it’s just Kakashi, and it’s going to be a nightmare from start to finish that’s definitely also heavily tinged by my personal perspective on being agender aro ace.
#somehow I feel like this should get its own tag…#idk#I’ll figure it out later if the idea strongly persists#ANYWAY right out of the get go#you immediately have the shift in how Sakumo interacts with Kakashi#and especially the more toxic tinges of what ‘honor’ means for female shinobi#on top of Kakashi’s existing trauma around Sakumo’s death#PRO TO OFFSET THIS CON THOUGH#MORE KUSHINA#HI KUSHINA#I LOVE YOU KUSHINA#and fuck YES I’d heavily explore how this changes the team Minato dynamics#because from Kakashi’s side you have even more struggles over fitting ‘ideal expectations’ of being a shinobi#then contrasting with Rin’s perspective on the interplay of frontline vs support roles for female members#then poor Obito who you canNOT convince me was entirely properly socialized#and puts his foot in his mouth many times with Kakashi#not just due to what he absorbs from the Uchiha clan but also as the only male member on the team now#and then the whole friend killer thing still happens YIKES#ITS EVEN WORSE NOW#because Kakashi is growing into the teenage years without Minato or Kushina’a support anymore#and it’s time for gross lineage/heir politics that Kakashi escapes from by flinging herself into ANBU#even harder than canon maybe#clan raised vs civilian raised gender morality in the context of shinobi life FIGHT

the whole minato/kushina thing becomes a lot less painful if you decide, based on crumbs of context viewed under a certain light coming from that oneshot, that minato is kushina's satelite.
by which i mean that the only reason he became hokage was to fulfill her dream. she's under lock and key so he'll go out there and be an outstanding malewife by becoming someone she can life through.
it's still depressing as hell but at least it's not "woman has dreams until housewifery cures her of them"

Talking about LCF x Naruto crossover AUs, I had like three different ones in my head.
One of them place in Naruto world (the one I already posted a little bit about), and other two placed in TBOAH world.
In one of them everyone from Naruto just got yeeted into Og!Cale's world. Naruto is still a little kid there and he got yeeted with Kakashi who was in his Anbu duty. They fall in a river and Kakashi got to secure Naruto in his arms before he got knocked out for hitting his head with something. Luckily, the river passes by Rain City and Og!Cale take them out without thinking because 'OH GOD SOMEONE'S DROWING— OH GOD A CHILD!'. The Henituse household somehow ends becoming a temporary shelter for Anbus, kids, and a bunch of Root children.
Then the Henituse family learns that some old guy called Danzo is Bad and kidnaps children to brainwash them and make them part of his private army. They're not amused. The problem is: Bassen already left to the Capitol where this Danzo guy very probably is. Oh no. Cue Cale and some ninjas running to the Capitol because someone has to go and they can't leave Lily unsupervised because she's the Perfect Objective. So he took some ninja people with him and left.
In the other, Sakura, Naruto and Ino reborn in TBOAH and try to seek out for more of his friends. At first, Sakura doesn't know about Naruto and Ino, nor they know about her. Naruto and Ino are twins, born in the royal family of the Roan Kingdom (RIP Alberu's sanity, it will be missed), and Sakura is Cale's little sister from the same mother. They only reunite when they're around fourteen-ish I think? And plan to look for their other friends. But for that would be easier if they could meet more often. So they decide to make their respective older brothers help them. That somehow sidetracks into making their older brothers reunite after one of them noticed the chemistry between them.
So they go around searching for more reincarnators and playing matchmaker for AlbeCale in the side. AlbeCale, meanwhile, noticed that some people are plotting something bad and trying to investigate and stop it. They are absolutely not flirting. That's a lie, they totally are.

Haha he really looks like his mom here!!
Another Red Haired Naruto - from an AU I came up with where Naruto inherited his mother's red hair. Because I like the AU idea and enjoy drawing his long hair.
Thanks for taking a look! :) Have a nice day!

the sexism in naruto is actually so crazy and all encompassing. every female character is defined by her relationship to men. the majority are boy-crazy. and it’s constantly remarked upon how weak they are when compared to their male teammates.
not only that but the main male characters actively dislike the women they’ve been paired off with. shikamaru is into temari but his infinite dream is not having to marry her. sai ends up with ino despite finding her ugly. naruto thinks hinata is weird and boring. sasuke’s dislike of sakura is infamous.
adult men’s interest in women is seen as comical and alien. (reactions to the sexy jutsu, jiraiya harassing women). almost all of the adult men are perpetual bachelors or sex perverts (and those who aren’t are stand ins for “mom and dad”).
when boys actually do like girls, it’s to show goofy immaturity and innocence (naruto’s crush on sakura that he grows out of as he reaches maturity, lee’s crush which is dropped entirely, obitos crush on rin which lasts into adulthood just to show he isn’t entirely separate from the boy he once was)
the whole ninja society likes to imagine it is a mostly gender blind world where women can thrive but this is SO obviously untrue. women are almost always healers and support. women make up less than 1/3 of the ninjas even at genin level. girls are almost all desperate to become wives and earn the attention of boys who don’t even like them!
mikoto uchiha was a jonin and presumably directly descended from the uchiha line (based on characters commenting that she/sasuke look just like izuna uchiha), but we only ever see her retired and raising her sons while her husband gets to be clan leader. (why?? if he married into the main family and she is an extremely capable ninja??)
similarly kushina uzumaki is borderline royalty and a jinchuriki, but her husband is hokage. once again the mother carries on the burden of power (for her sons to inherit) but the father has the title and status.
even the backstory of ninja enforces this. kaguya literally ate the forbidden fruit, giving the gift of chakra to all of humanity but also dooming them to fight for eternity. literally womens original sin …
anyway it’s not that all this sexist shit is in the story. it’s that kishimoto seemingly has no idea it’s there and believes the women he writes have epic girl power. how do you even do this by accident. why does every boy hate their wife. why did kaguya commit the original sin ! the girl characters want so badly to be with a boy but they don’t even care that the boy doesn’t like them back!! sakura and hinata are in loveless marriages of obligation and THEY DONT EVEN CARE??? they’re into it??? does kishimoto think men are universally forced to marry women they don’t like? does he blame women for this?WHY IS THE ORIGINAL SIN DRIVING THE BUS ALL THE SUDDEN?
#don’t even get me started on the mizukage whose every line is about how she’s a failure for not having a husband GIRL YOURE A WORLD LEADER#fine here’s my sexism rant#long post#naruto

i very much enjoy the extremely scientific analysis of the naruto verse in which there are three genders, aka naruto, sasuke, and Woman.
AM I WRONG? AM I WRONG? pulls down projection screen and plays powerpoint
Obviously let's give room for nuance. A ton of Naruto characters don't fall into these gender norms. This does predominantly apply to the rampant proliferation of the three-person dynamics that were assigned by the government and dictate your entire life. And, like, society. It does not end. Gender isn't a biological factor in Naruto, it's a social dynamic constructed entirely by your homoerotic tension with other men. And there are so many.
Madara (S), Hashirama (N), Mito (W). Izuna (N) and Tobirama (S) - tragically, Izuna died before women could be invented. Sarutobi (N), Danzo (S, horrifically) - see above about women not being invented yet. Jiraiya (N), Orochimaru (S), Tsunade (W). Yahiko (N), Nagato (S), Konan (W). Obito (N), Kakashi (S), Rin (W). Shisui (N), Itachi (S), that little deeply unimportant girlfriend (W). Um, fucking, Naruto (N), Sasuke (S), Sakura (W). Even - even, fuckin, Rock Lee (N), Neiji (S), Tenten (W).
And what do they all have in common????
(OT3. They're all OT3s. Is what I'm saying).
There is some room for alternative gender expressions here, like being butch or femme. Naruto gender expressions: teacher, otouto, woman who you can't even tell is woman gendered because she has no backstory but you just have to kinda assume that she has a polycule-based backstory where she was Woman Gender. I feel almost as if 2/3rds of the Rookie 9 are liberated from this. InoShikaCho just doesn't fit (their chaotic cousin energy is just too strong and Ino's too much of a lesbian). Hinata's too busy being defined entirely by a different throuple's N to have codependent dynamics with her own N and S (and I'm hesitant to even say that, since I actually don't know if Kiba and Shino have a codependent rivalry - do they?).
I get, like, the reason for all of this. Curse of Hatred. Cycles. N and S Genders being sourced from demigods or something. Narrative parallelism. Sympathy points. It's not the bad guy's fault he's evil, his N and W gendered counterparts died :(. But an extremely strange side-effect of this is that all of the male characters are, like, Just Naruto or Just Sasuke. But the vast majority of the female characters are - like, completely defined by the men in their lives - but also they are more likely to be a unique person. Mito, Sakura, and Rin have actually nothing in common. Writing so sexist it creates more interesting characters?!?!
Unironically, this is why I'm always saying that Sasunaru is the ship of all time, nothing will ever top it, you will NEVER do it like Sasunaru, etc. Every important relationship in the series is meant to evoke Sasunaru. (Notably, none of the explicitly romantic ones. But we're beyond such paltry understandings of the most iconic pairing of all time as fundamentally based in romance. We're operating on a higher level than that). This unbroken chain of toxic yaoi has culminated at the end point of Sasunaru, and it exists to parallel Sasunaru and define their relationship by the dysfunction of generations of tragedy. That's why Naruto has to consciously break the cycle and free them from the generational hate - it was the only way to save Sasuke. This is also why I'm always saying that Sasunaru is the point of Naruto, and that the entirety of Naruto is about Sasunaru. Come back to me when your work has invented new genders in the all-encompassing pursuit of toxic yaoi.
This also means that the only truly gender non-conforming individuals in Naruto are its mightiest heterosexuals: Minato (W) and Kushina (N). Truly insane. The N/S/W configuration is the societal norm, it's bonkers to make a major good-aligned male character a wifeguy. By Naruto standards Minato and Kushina are the only queer couple.
#naruto#sasunaru#happy yaoi day everyone#my asks#i do have more serious thoughts about themes in fiction and how the best things ive consumed have extremely tight themes#to the point where the entire work is about 1 thing.#ya know like. sasunaru is to naruto what ecosystems are to dungeon meshi#its why dm is good. anyway thats more complicated thoughts not for joke sasunaru post#fwiw my MENTAL naruto is inosaku my IDEAL naruto is team7ot3. i dont explain my genius often.

Minato & Kushina: A "Deep Dive" Analysis (Section B, Part I)
In our first section we explored Minato and Kushina's love and endurance. In this section we will consider their dream of Hokage and impact on the wider plot.
(Section B) Minato and Kushina as drivers in the world narrative
Note that I said their dream of Hokage, not Minato’s dream of Hokage. Not because they both want to become Hokage, but because, as we established, Hokage is intertwined with their marriage.
(B) I. Minato and Kushina as the image of Hokageship
Chronologically, the first words uttered by both Minato and Kushina concern becoming Hokage. But while similar on the surface, their utterances spring from contrasting motives.
Minato wants to be respected by the village. Kushina wants to not be snubbed. Each is seeking to be acknowledged, but a different form of acknowledgement.
Minato is a once-in-a-generation genius. He will graduate the Academy at 10. He will set the record for the highest ever score on the chūnin written exam. He will be honing the Flying Raijin by the time he is 15-16, by which time Kurama will think of him in respect to the greatest shinobi who ever lived. From this, one can sum that Minato is destined to become Hokage. Yet at the same time, paradoxically, his birth sets him apart.
The non-mention of other Namikazes implies that he is not from a ninja family – or, that he is from a ninja family with no reputation. Either way, Minato is a genius born in an underdog background, and thus has the complete freedom to pursue the Hokage path. And that path he himself has chosen out of desire to be the leader and light of Konoha, his favorite phrase per the databook being 火の影は里を照らす (“the fire’s shadow illuminates the village”).
What is Minato’s sought “respect” then? To be relied upon as THE shinobi who illuminates the village. For Kushina this is not the case. She simply wants to be SOMEbody.
[As we noted last section, with her motive in these screens, Kushina is never, ever shown pursuing Hokageship. So let us bury all distortions of her as a 'girl boss' who 'had her dream stolen by' the man she loves. And let us bury the demeaning of Minato along with it as some 'male wife' who 'fulfilled his girl's dream because she couldn't.' To the fans who insist that Kushina's character was diminished through Minato becoming Hokage, I leave one question: is it a shame and disgrace for a wife to uplift and support her husband?]
Brought to Konoha from a foreign land, Kushina just wants to fit in. But opposite to prodigy-from-nobody-clan Minato, her bloodline has her shackled to a destiny of rejection.
Which brings us to another thing that Kushina’s hair symbolizes: her ‘otherness.’ We’ve seen this motif with other characters before. Sakura is teased for her big forehead and Hinata is called “Byakugan Monster” for her eyes. Sakura’s source of misery becomes her source of prowess: she hones the Byakugo Seal on that forehead, and it becomes her trump card through which she saves hundreds during the War. Bullied for her “weird, freaky eyes,” Hinata likewise improves her use of the Byakugan, eventually proving her worth as the Hyūga heiress.
Kushina is teased when really, as we’ve observed, her “ugly” “lustrous” hair implicates beauty and strength. But in contrast to Sakura and Hinata, Kushina stands up to her bullies in her own strength (Sakura gains confidence through Ino’s compassion, and Hinata from Naruto). And this contrast is immensely important for, as we’ve established, Kushina’s endurance is the core of Minato’s drive.
Kushina’s endurance, recall, is the reason Minato fell in love with her, and why he calls her the one “that made [him] the Fourth Hokage” (as we'll examine shortly). And Minato’s love is the thing that enables Kushina to overcome fate; to live a life of happiness despite being a jinchūriki. For while Kushina’s endurance draws Minato toward her, it results in her being further set apart as the 'other.' She defends herself; Minato reveres her more; their peers despise her more. The divide between Kushina and their generation grows, held in the title they give her: “Red-hot Habanero.”
She cannot escape her destiny of loneliness. She is doomed for being the jinchūriki; doomed for being a red-haired Uzumaki; and doomed for kicking back through her own efforts. Yet her efforts draw Minato to her, setting Minato apart from their peers in parallel.
What is the importance of this parallel divide? We will get to that shortly. But first there some details to note on Minato's otherness (his distinction from their peers).
Minato as the “Yellow Flash” is directly tied to a Hokage (it is his use and adaptation of Tobirama’s Flying Raijin that earns him fame and fear). Put short, Minato’s earning of Konoha’s respect is already bound to Hokageship: he is, in will, genius and prowess, walking in his forerunners’ footsteps.
Furtherly significant is Kurama’s comparing of Minato to Hashirama. Gaiden opens with Minato escaping Bijū Bombs with the Raijin – a homage to Tobirama. It ends with Minato smiling in front of the rock faces where his own will be beside Hiruzen’s. And framed within these scenes is Kurama’s remark grouping him with Hokage ("A most powerful shinobi ranking alongside First Hokage Hashirama... Unbelievable!").
The Yellow Flash rapidly gains renown in the other nations – to the point of him earning a ‘flee-on-site’ reputation. Feats so formidable that the Tsuchikage accepts a peace treaty, bringing an end to the war with Iwa (episode: The Mask that Hides the Heart).
So Minato in legacy of Second Hokage earns respect within and outside Konoha. And “in his own style” he earns “a most powerful shinobi ranking alongside [First Hokage].” In the Fourth War, the resurrected Tobirama will acknowledge Minato as having surpassed him. Furthermore, Minato modifies his jutsu to create new subsidiary jutsu.
Minato has been, through his whole ninja career, gaining the repute to achieve Hokageship.
Academy-Minato begins walking this road. Hokage-Minato ends the road by accrediting it all to Kushina. Recall our panels back in post one from the chapter Thank You:
There is a slight variation in the anime’s account from “your” man to “a” man (for Japanese has no indirect articles and omits pronouns in conversation). In addition, anime-Minato makes this statement over an image we’ve seen before: his genin-self holding genin-Kushina in his arms the day he'd rescued her. This shot, in addition to the dialogue, is framed from Minato’s viewpoint, inferring that he sees this event and resulting bond with Kushina as the statement’s fruition.
The day Kushina fell for him, in other words – the day (from which) she became his woman – was the very day (from which) she in Minato's own view “made him a man.” What transpired up to that moment? He had been watching her endure. And now he has stepped in to be her strength in a battle that is beyond her.
The differing English translations both capture the essence of Minato’s words. He could not have become Hokage without Kushina – without her ‘making him a man’ who self-sacrificially loves, leads, protects and provides. And he could not have become Hokage without her ‘making him her man’ – without her deciding to be his wife; to selflessly love, support and build him up, bringing out his best. Furthermore, birthing their child, Kushina makes Minato a father. Mirroring this as Hokage, he is the patriarch of the village.
Now onto the importance of the 'otherness' divide: Kushina symbolically ‘qualifies’ Minato to become Hokage through their distinctions from their peers. And these qualifications are reached through two ‘tests,’ if you will, which each center around him saving her.
The first test is our mentioned genin rescue, where Kushina embodies the outsider. Here she is the lowest-esteemed villager, the foreigner shunned by the village. Minato alone notices the trail of her hair she left behind and saves her. Minato alone tells her that she is “one of [them].” He proves that he is devoted to protecting EVERYONE in his village, in a conflict between Konoha and Kumo – a fight between villages.
Most importantly of all, it is in this moment that he wins Kushina’s acknowledgement. The acknowledgement of the hardest-to-win-over villager, the acknowledgement of the outskirt 'other.'
The second test is the teenage rescue, where Kushina is the jinchūriki. Here she represents Konoha’s balance of power in the world. If a village loses its bijū it is vulnerable to destruction by the other nations. Protecting Kushina thus means – in the village context – everything, and is the ultimate test of Minato’s physical, mental and intellectual worthiness. Simply put, all together, it is a test of his own endurance.
Rescue One is the test of acknowledgement, and Rescue Two is the test of endurance. The two qualities underpinning the entirety of one's enablement to become Hokage.
So what have we then? While Minato brings Kushina to breaking the shackles of her destiny, Kushina brings Minato to fulfilling his destiny.
We also see the monumental impact of Kushina’s sealing jutsu. On the night of their deaths, Minato uses two to save the village: the Eight Sign Seal and the Reaper Death Seal. Both of these techniques are Uzumaki clan jutsu taught to Minato by Kushina.
In other words, Kushina indirectly gives Minato the means of saving the village.
[The Reaper Death Seal was designed by Uzumaki to be used by Uzumaki. The caster sacrifices his or her chakra to the Reaper in proportion to the chakra being sealed. If cast by an Uzumaki then – with chakra reserves exceeding an enemy's – that Uzumaki need not die. That Minato sealed half of Kurama away at the cost of his life is a testament to just how much of a powerhouse he is!]
The Reaper Death Seal has even further ties to Hokageship – Hiruzen using it to seal his Edo-forerunners during the Konoha Crush arc. Though it was taught by Kushina, it is known as one of Minato’s signature jutsu, Hiruzen calls it his own “trump jutsu,” and it – literally – unites the first four Hokage in death (the spirits of each, after Hiruzen’s sealing, being trapped in the Reaper’s belly).
So we've examined ‘Hokage’ in relation to Minato and Kushina's oneness. The next post will explore their dream behind the Hokage image.
Section B, Part II here.

Daily reminder that we already have fem Naruto in canon. And a daily reminder that naruto's girlsona was created by kishimoto himself. This is what she looks like:
If Naruto just wanted to create a girl who was considered attractive among men, he wouldn't have given her his facial features. She even has his significant whiskers, so that's probably what he'd want to look like if he were a girl (no one in naruto's male harem looks like him, he could make the girl harem just as different if he thought solely about what men find attractive)
Female Naruto would be a rebellious brat, but that doesn't mean she has to look like a man on steroids. Kushina is basically naruto's copy, she was a tomboy and she still looked pretty feminine.
Female Sasuke would be a tomboy too btw

Tsunade is the best written female character in Naruto because she had a life outside her team.
Like, if you can erase the main male characters out of the life of a female character and you still have a female character, that's something.
Who is Rin outside Kakashi and Obito? "Oh she almost became a jinchuuriki—" that event was made do that Kakashi and Obito couple awaken their mangekyou sharingan. Besides being their crush or teammate, who was she?
Kushina was more than a mother and a wife, right? But what happened to her dream of being Hokage? Why did Minato get the job instead? She has something going on for herself, but it was erased even before she died.
Yahiko and Nagato were as lonely as Konan was. At least none of them have anything beside each other, which isn't exactly good, but at least they were equals.
Sakura was someone before Naruto and Sasuke. She had Ino, she had a family— and in Shippuden they treat those things like there's nothing more to it. The focus is her role within Team 7, her role as the girl in the love triangle, her role as a healer that she took because of them. You're telling me that Sasuke and Naruto were gone for years and just trained and waited for them? In the Chunning Exams we were shown how much Ino and Sakura meant for each other, so why downplay it? Why minimize it? All the times Konoha was attacked and you never showed Sakura being worried for her parents? No one ever asked?
I'm so glad for Tsunade in that sense.
Erase her team, who is she?
A Senju. She's the granddaughter of two of the most powerful shinobis to ever exist and she does something with it. It isn't just a mention. She was an older sister and we were able to explore that connection with Nawaki. She was a lover to Dan and we saw her love for him multiple times. Do you want to ease all men in her life? She's a medic nin, the best in the world. She changed the way wars were fought. She has a pet and she has an apprentice, Shizune. The bond between Shizune and Tsunade is deep and developed through the story. She was a rival to grandma Chiyo. She was a sensei to Sakura too, taught her all she knew and trained her so no man could ever step over her again as if nothing. She was a killer. She was freaking Hokage.
If it wasn't for Tsunade, Sakura wouldn't have been allowed to be multidimensional like her. In fact, even after Tsunade, the story kept portraying Sakura like just the female crush, the healer for them to survive, blah blah blah.
They made Kurenai only a mom. Wrote Anko off. Treated the kunoichis of the Konoha 12 as an afterthought. Hell, they gave Sasuke another girl love triangle with Karin. A freaking Uzumaki girl and they did that. At least Temari is as chained to her siblings as they are to her.
If you erase Tsunade, tell me how the female characters of Naruto stand? Because every single male character is someone outside their female friends or lovers or whatever.
What about the girls? What about them?

do u draw female character or just only male characters?
I draw whoever I feel inspired to draw, but if that's mostly male characters, I guess blame Kishimoto for writing women with the depth of a puddle of piss. But here's some! Don't mind the order, some are from 2006, others from 2024...
Ignore most links in the watermarks too, my up-to-date links are in my linktree in bio. In fact, if you see an active Itachi's Wetwipe or an ADHD.no.Jutsu, that's probably our favourite art thief, Joselyn.
Lots after the break!
2007:
Konan on the night Itachi joined and realized what he just did to himself.
How things should have ended
Kushina
Kurenai's team, 2006 or 2007
2007? Genma & Shizune
tbh I don't ship SasuSaku but they look nice together optically...
Itachi spending quality time with Sarada from my fic Curse of Love. If you wanna make my day, you can get it for a tiny fee here.
Does it count when she's dead
Older Sarada looks great for someone who doesn't look like she's from the same franchise.
Early one from my fandom revival era (late 2021/early 2022). Fic here.
Chubby Sakura, anyone?

Minato coming in person to tell Kushina that he can't spend time with her. Like I know this should be the bare minimum, but the bar is in hell in this series. Most male characters would send a message or clone to warn their wife. It's good to see that Minato is still the only man ever.
Never compare adult Naruto and adult Sasuke to Minato, like never ever
