Two Best Friends...?

Mackenzie Shaffer (22, she/her, bisexual) and Addison Fischer (22, she/they, lesbian) have been best friends since high school. Both bullied for their alternative style, they bonded over similar interests and took comfort in each other. Since then, they've done everything together. With the money they saved up from babysitting in high school, as well as their current jobs, they decided to move out of home at 19 and rent a townhome in Del Sol Valley. Mackenzie works as a makeup artist for Sim Revolt, an alternative magazine company located in Del Sol Valley. On the side, she posts her makeup looks to Simstagram and Simstok, where she has over 500,000 followers. Addison works as an Animal Shelter Worker in Brindleton Bay, the next town over. When they aren't working, she sometimes DJs at local goth clubs, and advocates for animal rights. Mackenzie is starting to find herself drawn to a charismatic musician named Damien Murphy, who often frequents alternative clubs they go to. Meanwhile, Addison is grappling with her unrequited crush on Mackenzie. They couldn't deny the jealously they felt when she got excited over Damien, but they tried to be a supportive friend. After all, would she be willing to risk her friendship over a "tiny crush"? (she's trying to gaslight herself - they're literally in love with Mackenzie)

Stories from Sol: The Gun-Dog launches February 20, 2025 - Gematsu

Science-fiction visual novel Stories from Sol: The Gun-Dog will launch for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC via Steam on February 20, 2025, publisher Astrolabe Games and developer Space Colony Studios announced. It will feature English, French, Spanish, German, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese language options.

The companies also unveiled the new “Full-Color Mode,” which makes the game playable in full color. An update for the previously released demo featuring this new mode is available now for PlayStation 5 and PC, and will launch for Switch on September 19.

As previously announced, PM Studios and Meridiem Games will publish physical editions of Stories from Sol: The-Gun Dog in North America and Europe, respectively. The physical edition will be available for PlayStation 5 in North America, and for PlayStation 5 and Switch in Europe.

Stories from Sol: The Gun-Dog is a visual novel adventure in the spirit of classic PC-9800 titles. Featuring a vintage green screen aesthetic, Space Colony Studios strives to create an “era-accurate” game that exudes retro vibes in every way, from the text to the visual effects. As the Jovian patrol ship sails into the darkness among the stars, the players will feel like they are on an adventure in an 80s Sci-Fi as they solve the mystery they find themselves in.

The Story: A New Threat Emerges From the Void

Humans have long since freed themselves from the grasp of gravity, but they are still unable to escape the hold of war. It’s year 214 of the Planetary Calendar. Four years have passed since the end of the Solar War and an uneasy peace persists throughout the solar system. The Jovian patrol ship Gun-Dog is sent on a reconnaissance mission to investigate mysterious signals coming from the edge of Jovian space. What starts as a routine assignment quickly escalates into a battle for survival as an unknown threat terrorises the crew.

SUMMARY: Decided to rewrite and introduce my OBX OC, Mazz (again). She for my potential fanfic called CICADA. (Which I'll probably never write but lemme know if you're interested lmao).

Character introduction from John B based on how he introduces the Pogues in the show.

That's Mackenzie- Mazz, Mack, Kenzie, Hydie - whatever you wanna call her. She's my edgy, punk British cousin, but she's basically my sister. Born and bred in some shit hole tourist town in the UK, she moved to the Cut when she was like eight. Her Dad died from Pancreatic Cancer, and her Mom, my Aunt, wanted to be closer to family

Her older brother, Sol, became a living legend around here - a real anarchist type. A criminal, but a legend nonetheless.

Her Mom ended up dating some rich guy from Figure Eight, and she moved there for a while before she got dragged to the Main Land for a couple years. The guy ended up being a dick and shit hit the fan when Sol left, which is why she's living with me.

She's changed a lot from the sweet girl I was raised with; totally cutthroat- I guess she gets that from her brother. And I think she might be having a slight identity crisis.

One thing that's stayed consistent is her long time fued with JJ. Don't ask me when or how it started because I couldn't tell you. Hell, I don't think they even could, but they're always at each other's throats. Kie swears blind there's something else going on there, but I don't see it. Though I gotta say, sometimes I question if she's right - I mean, you should see how JJ looks at Mazz when he thinks no one's paying attention.

Ik I've posted her before, but my idea has changed slightly since- and no one saw it anyway lol.

Anyway, if anyone knows any face claims that fit this vibe, lemme know :))

It's been awhile since I last posted. Thought I would make a life update post.

The summer is finally creeping up on us. It's May now and the warm weather is in full play. I'm so happy!! In a different place these days. Well... kind of. Until I'm put into a stressful situation. But for the most part, my depression has been a little less intense and I'm just feeling.... good. In a good mood today.

Going to St. Croix for my birthday in June and for aunt Barbaras memorial. I didn't know her very well, but I feel happy to be able to be with family during the occasion. About to meet a lot of cousins! I hope I will be able to remember names. Been trying to budget shopping for clothes to go. It hit me last night that I have tons of tees and some tank tops. I guess I mostly need comfortable bottoms and shorts to wear. GAINED WEIGHT!! Nothing old fits anymore. Going to hold onto some things though just in case my weight comes off. With my lifestyle habits, I have no idea when that will be happening. Just ordered a jump rope in hopes to at least get some cardio in since I hate running. Going to the store later today in hopes of getting healthier food. I do nooootttt know how to eat healthy apparently. I eat a lot of quesadillas and carbs so.... Going to try and cut back and eat salads. I don't even think my salads are healthy lol but better than canned food and mac n cheese.

I started vaping and 80 bucks later, I think it's time to quit. Obviously that's the smartest idea. Idk.... I'm trying not to smoke weed anymore and it gets hard when I'm use to smoking everyday. So whyyyyy a vape?? Nicotine is worse but it doesnt trigger the voices I hear. Weed does. I need to learn how to be sober and happy. I just.... get bored?? I'm awful!! Lol

Work is on hold for right now. I've been on break for now 2 and a half weeks. Still have money in my account but obviously that isn't going to last forever. Just trying to keep myself in a steady mood while I'm back to doing nothing. At least the sun is out. I can sit in the backyard and take in my surroundings. Trying not to drink at the moment as much because of my weight. But I dont need to always drink in the sun, it just makes it fun. Go figure. Anyway, I need to start applying for jobs again. I've been holding off because 1) I'm suppose to hear back from Sol for when they need more help again 2) St Croix is in two weeks and I feel like it would be hard to start a new position and then leave for a week 3) I'm still going to try and get a job with Premier Press and Q told me to wait and apply the end of June, beginning of July.

Therapy has been going well. I enjoy my sessions for the most part with my therapist. She's very sweet and I think I have made large progress since first starting. August is going to be a very large moment for me because it will mark the 1 year anniversary since being hospitalized. I told my mom that it's important to me. I want to celebrate some how. August will never be the same for me. I still have things that I need to clean out of my room from my voodoo craze. I should do that today.... it would feel good. It's hard looking at the mess in the corner of my room but once it's gone I think that I wil feel better. I really did some damage on my belongings and Ashley's. I will never fully recover from my actions. Scars. But I am working on moving forward everyday. I went to Mackenzies bridal shower yesterday and being in that community was SO HARD. I made it though. It's just weird being around parts of her world because the voices weirdly attached to it and it's humiliating to be around her. She was beyond sweet to me though and it felt good celebrating her for the evening.

Well.... thats kind of all the update I have. I'm going to try and check in with myself here more regularly. Cheers to bettering my mental well being, being strong and powering through all of this and getting better. I got this! Life keeps going on and is too short to keep beating myself up. Lot's of self love (minus the vaping BS).

Stories from Sol: The Gun-Dog launches this winter for PS5, PS4, Switch, and PC

Science-fiction visual novel Stories from Sol: The Gun-Dog for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC via Steam this winter, publisher Astrolabe Games and developer Space Colony Studios announced. A demo is available now for consoles, joining the existing demo on PC.

Additionally, Astrolabe Games announced that it has partnered with PM Studios in North America and Meridiem Games in Europe to release physical editions of Stories from Sol: The Gun-Dog for PlayStation 5 and Switch.

The main stage of the first instalment in the Stories from Sol series, as the Jovian patrol ship Gun-Dog heads into deep space it serves as the setting for the game’s story. It has been exhaustively realized. Rich and evocative descriptions of the ship, including the constant rumble of the engine room, the bustle of the bridge, the silence of space pair with an extensive range of scenes that have been meticulously designed and animated in detail to deliver an immersive experience. Inspired by the best that anime has to offer the ship even features “Armored Frames,” mechanized, human shaped, weapons of war.
