Partition of Bengal,Swadeshi Movement, Muslim League, Congress Party
1). Partition of Bengal :- The partition of Bengal was done by Lord Curzon in 1905 AD. The main objective of this partition was to create antagonism between Hindus and Muslims and to weaken national unity.
2). Division of Bengal into two parts:-According to Lord Curzon, Bengal was divided into two parts (modern West Bengal including West Bengal, Orissa and Bihar) and East Bengal would be East Bengal and Assam. Read more:-

Not really in the DC fandom and I don't really read many comics but I've been seeing some videos and posts making headcanons about the Al-Ghul family being Muslim and it pisses me off so much.
This interpretation is deeply rooted in Islamophobia and the ignorant notion that every Arab is a Muslim and therefore a "terrorist". The Al-Ghuls are not and have never been Muslims and any parts of the religion found in their characters are likely due to the fact that Arab culture has a lot of aspects of Islam mixed into it and because again, people think that being Arab and being Muslim are the same thing and a lot of the comic writers are white Americans who commonly have this misconception about Arabs.
I'm not going to go into the specifics of everything because 1) I don't know all that much about canon and 2) this is a little hard to explain but I will give several examples that pretty much disprove that headcannon because The Al-Ghuls do things that are considered major sins in Islam on the daily.
Ra's runs an assassin league/cult and despite what many people think killing people is a major sin in Islam except in very specific scenarios where it may be excused like in self-defence or in war. And what the Al-Ghuls do? That isn't excusable in any way.
Ra's' name in and of itself is proof. His name means the Demon Head and I promise you a proper practicing Muslim would not call themself that or commit the atrocities he has on innocent people. I don't know if this is true but I saw on the wiki that apparently a character named Gerhardt asked him if he was a man or a fiend from hell and Ra's, said that he was both and neither and that he was "Ra's al-Ghul". A Muslim would not associate themself with Hell, a place where evildoers are punished in the afterlife.
Talia committed zina (fornication), yet another major sin, and wears extremely revealing clothing despite the fact that modesty is an integral part of the religion.
The Al-Ghuls drink wine, eat pork and apparently Damian was often fed ox blood soup as a child despite the fact that all these things are explicitly forbidden for Muslims to consume in verses of the Quran. (To clarify a bit, in case you're confused about the ox blood soup, Muslims are forbidden from consuming animal blood because it is considered filthy and harmful, much like pork and wine.)
Not to mention the whole thing about Ra's nearly being 500 years old and the Lazarus Pits apparently reviving him every time he dies... but that's a whole can of worms I don't know enough about to open
So yeah, the headcanon that the Al-Ghuls are Muslims perpetuates harmful stereotypes about Islam as a whole. There probably is more to be said about this topic but unfortunately, I haven't read many comics and have only watched a few of the DC animated movies so I can't say much more.
Feel free to correct me if I've said something incorrect or missed something important.

Thinking about Damian Wayne-Al Ghul fasting during Ramadan in full for the first time the year he moves in with Bruce. He did intermittent fasting throughout the rest of his life but he was still a kid and Talia thought fasting would impede his training.
Little 12-year-old Damian studying the Quran between classes at Gotham Academy. Alfred preparing an Iftar buffet for him before his patrol and suhoor for once he gets back. Bruce keeping multiple water bottles in his utility belt so that Damian stays hydrated through the night. Dick participating in the fast with him despite not being Muslim because he knows it’s Damian’s first time fasting and that takes a lot of discipline. Barbara taking him to an all halal grocery store before Ramadan starts to stock up on food so he doesn’t have to waste energy shopping during the fast. Damian praying 5 times a day just like he always did with his mother and grandfather. Jon asking Damian TONS of questions about fasting and Damian acting annoyed but also being kind of happy that his best friend is interested in his religion.

head canoning Damian as Muslim is so special to me
i like to think that he accepted Islam after his time with the League of Assassins (bc associating the religion to what’s essentially a terroristic cult, along with assuming he’s automatically Muslim just because he’s half Arab, is a little Islamophobic)
i imagine Damian exploring various sets of beliefs while on his journey to unlearn the violence that was taught to him as a child. he ends up resonating with Islam as a prominent theme of Islam is peace and mercy.
with that being said, Eid al Adha Mubarak to my fellow Muslims!! May Allah SWT accept all of our duas - free Palestine and end all other oppression Ameen

To assess correctly the damage that Qatari influence in the US is causing, it is essential to understand what Qatar stands for and promotes. Qatar has for decades cultivated a close relationship with the Islamist Muslim Brotherhood, whose motto is: “‘Allah is our objective; the Prophet is our leader; the Quran is our law; Jihad is our way; dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope.” It aims to ensure that Islamic law, Sharia, governs all countries and all matters.
Hamas, an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood, has enjoyed Qatar as its main sponsor, to the tune of up to $360 million a year, and was until recently the home of Hamas’ leadership. In 2012, Ismail Haniyeh, head of the terrorist group’s political bureau, Mousa Abu Marzook, and Khaled Mashaal, among others, moved to Qatar for a life of luxury. This month, likely because of Israel’s announcement that it will hunt down and eliminate Hamas leaders in Qatar and Turkey, the Qatar-based Hamas officials reportedly fled to other countries.
Qatar was also home to Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, who was exiled from Egypt until his death in September 2022. According to the Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center:
💬 “Qaradawi is mainly known as the key figure in shaping the concept of violent jihad and the one who allowed carrying out terror attacks, including suicide bombing attacks, against Israeli citizens, the US forces in Iraq, and some of the Arab regimes. Because of that, he was banned from entering Western countries and some Arab countries…. In 1999, he was banned from entering the USA. In 2009, he was banned from entering Britain…”
Qaradawi also founded many radical Islamist organizations which are funded by Qatar. These include the International Union of Muslim Scholars, which released a statement that called the October 7 massacre perpetrated by Hamas against communities in southern Israel an “effective” and “mandatory development of legitimate resistance” and said that Muslims have a religious duty to support their brothers and sisters “throughout all of Palestine, especially in Al-Aqsa, Jerusalem, and Gaza.”
Qatar is still home to the lavishly-funded television network Al Jazeera, founded in 1996 by Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Hamad ibn Khalifa Al Thani. Called the “mouthpiece of the Muslim Brotherhood,” Al Jazeera began the violent “Arab Spring,” which “brought the return of autocratic rulers.”
In 2017, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Egypt made 13 demands of Qatar: “to cut off relations with Iran, shutter Al Jazeera, and stop granting Qatari citizenship to other countries’ exiled oppositionists.” They subsequently cut ties with Qatar over its failure to agree to any of the demands, including ending its support for terrorism, the Muslim Brotherhood, and Al Jazeera.
The Saudi state-run news agency SPA said at the time:
💬 “[Qatar] embraces multiple terrorist and sectarian groups aimed at disturbing stability in the region, including the Muslim Brotherhood, ISIS [Islamic State] and al-Qaeda, and promotes the message and schemes of these groups through their media constantly,”
US universities and colleges are happy to see this kind of influence on their campuses in exchange for billions of dollars in Qatari donations. According to ISGAP:
💬 “[F]oreign donations from Qatar, especially, have had a substantial impact on fomenting growing levels of antisemitic discourse and campus politics at US universities, as well as growing support for anti-democratic values within these institutions of higher education.”

I finally went and read Lost Days and jesus fuck, I can't believe people think of Jason as reckless and impatient and unable to plan ahead when he spent three motherfucking hours slowly walking towards and away from the batmobile to plant a bomb in it! Not to mention the whole logistics of guaranteeing he had the time to do so
And like! The fact that in just a few short issues he has not only Batman but also the Joker at his mercy. He has them, has his finger on the trigger, neither of them could've done anything to stop him from going through with it. The only reason they come out of it alive is because he's a dramatic asshole who doesn't know how to process his trauma without making a whole production of it. And that was so fun!
When else have I ever seen the big names in such a position? Even when protagonists are hopeless the plot armor kicks in and the big bad leaves some last time opening, makes a stupid mistake. But no, here the villain-adjacent dude just goes "hmm, actually no" and.. leaves? Because he wants to? He could've made another change of heart last minute, turned around ond set them on fire and they would've still died! Because he left them no openings! It was fantastic.
And then he goes and gets them again
(he does end up failing that time, because evidently I can't have nice things)

Out of curiosity, just because ive been wondering for a while - in a situation especially where one doesn't feel particularly save being visibly muslim, would it be considered okay to, for example, wear a wig in place of a hijab? Along with something like a scarf to hide your neck and loose fitting clothes otherwise, but specifically a wig to hide your own hair. Would the style of the wig come into play at all? Such as if it looks similar or different to your natural hair or is it's synthetic or natural itself.
honestly, ive never thought of that. im not a scholar, so im not really sure. theres a council in my city which can answer specific questions like these, ill email them this question. ill rb with their answer when they reply <3

Prophet Muhammad ji always preached about one unique identity of Allah (Kabir). Secondly, he was totally against the slaughtering of animals for having food. He himself once killed one cow but restored it to life thereafter
