Context: The twins has confront each other until Velvet attack Veneer first, bragging how she's much more better than him until Ven stand up to her and show that he's not the weak one and that he can defend himself.
Check my au if you want to see it
I know I said that there's no backstory for each characters in this au but I like to think that the twins have some at least. Something happen to their parents that lead Vels to blame him and abandoned him alone until many years, they got reunite for some reason though Vels still holds the grudge against him while Ven tries to reconcile with her.
The twins' power, as well as their relationship, were inspired by Starfire and Blackfire. The only difference is the twins' relationship is love-hate and Velvet is still care for Ven but refuse to acknowledge it due to her hatred for him is still fill in her heart, unlike Blackfire who has no love for her sister, sadly for Starfire.
