Spotlighting Ola's Fundraiser

Ola asked me to share her campaign. This is a verified fundraiser, vetted by @/el-shab-hussein and @/nabulsi on their spreadsheet, #205. also by @/northgazaupdates

Ola @olagaza is a Mathematics teacher and a graduate student in north Gaza. She was studying at Al-Azhar University and teaching at a school when the occupation attacked. Her home, workplace, and university were all destroyed, leaving her without a house or a way to support her family.

Following the destruction of their home by the IOF, Ola and her family were displaced to a shelter. Repeated bombing attacks have forced them to flee multiple times since then. They are currently still in north Gaza, where food and other basic necessities are extremely scarce.

The price of food in north Gaza is extremely high, and Ola and her family are starving. She is trying to raise money so that she and her family can afford food and water. They want to stay in north Gaza and hope to rebuild their lives there one day, but they are struggling to survive.

They are close to their goal, they have managed to raise, $43,708USD of their $50,000 goal, 87% of the way there. Please help them achieve their goal.

Ola Ahel @olagaza is a Palestinian graduate student who is currently living in Gaza with her parents and siblings. Before the war began, she was a math teacher, as well being a graduate student from the faculty of science at Al-Azhar University.

However, the ongoing war in Gaza ripped her away from this life of learning and joy. For a year, Ola and her family have suffered, listening to bombs go off around them, struggling to find food and water.

Many of Ola's posts have gotten a lot of interaction through likes and reblogs, but all this interaction hasn't been reflected in the donations she receives. Donations have slowed down, but Ola still needs help to buy food and water for her family, and to save for evacuation when the border opens.

Please, show Ola whatever support you can. If you are able to donate, please do so, as well as sharing this post. Please give Ola the support she and her family urgently need. No one should have to live through a whole year of war.

Before the IDF killed our only brother Khalid, they forced us to evacuate our house and leave everything behind. They then destroyed our house and our father’s restaurant. We had to move at least 10 times since every new area we seek refuge to gets destroyed by the IDF.
