It's been almost a year but-

THIS ARTIST IS WORKING ON HIS TMNT AU AGAIN AND HAS CONCEPTS TO SHOW !!

Hello people, I know it's been a century but sadly having a full time job as a high schooler makes one burn out asf !!! Happily for me, and for the like 2 people who still remember my sillies, my poor little beaten up brain started thinking about my silly turtles again !!

Slash's design was alread finished in my last post, and honestly he's my favorite. I love his colors n the general vibe he gives and I think I peaked. He's a aligator snapper turtle, and was previously an animal.

Mona and Wade were a little harder for me, the colors still looking a little wrong in my eyes, so I'll maybe try new ones when I can !! But they will be suficient for now-

Mona Lisa is a marine iguana, and was previously human.

Wade is a green sea-turtle and was previously an animal.

April is 17 and Casey is 14 !!

My AU will have two Caseys for reasons of-

I love sapphic Capril to death, but I love Casey from 2012 and Junior too much to let them go, so why not have TWO CASEYS??? It's my silly au, I make the rules !!

For humans, besides April n the Two Caseys, I have Sunita, Timothy, Karai, Shinigami and Irma with designs swimming in my silly ol' mind.

The full time job and end of high school really do make me too mentaly and physically tired to work on it as much as i want.

i will literally never stop thinking about that one glass onion analysis video that said “i wouldn’t say i’d destroy [the mona lisa] to save a stranger’s life, but honestly? it’s kinda fucked up that i wouldn’t. we should value a person’s life, stranger or not, more than a piece of art.” like that changed something in me. bc our society DOES value art. not new art, not artists, sure, but it values the results. they put the results at a higher value than the artist themself, and if they think the results is worthless? they’ll still value the artist less than the result.

I don’t really ship 87 Ramona (although I do love the idea of them in a QPR) but. If they did feel romantically for each other it would take forever for them to actually get together, if they even do, in sharp contrast to the 2012 “we’ve known each other two hours now we’re committed for life” speedrun. Raphael would have fallen in love years ago but would not recognise this fact once. Mona Lisa is also part of the problem. She has a layer of superficiality she always uses as protection over her true feelings, so how does she even know her flirting is sincere? How would Raphael be supposed to know? She’d overthink it. Also she’s a lesbian so falling in love with your best friend is like mandated and agonising. She’d have accepted her fate and already resigned herself that it’s never going to happen. She’s just happy they’re close to each other. Meanwhile Raphael thinks “huh, I want to marry her” then goes about his day. This realisation occurs multiple times but he never reads into it.

So my top three favorite ships include of...

3) Two singing and dancing trolls, one is a princess who is always over hyper and so joyful and positive, and the other is an anti social grump who has A LOT of trauma and abandonment issues, but hey, he's in a boyband and has a cool bunker!

2) A prideful prince of an extinct alien warrior race who's way too obsessed with defeating this one guy and also has God levels of power and his wife who is the richest and smartest woman in the entire world with an "I can fix him" mentality and she surprisingly did in fact fix him.

1) A mutant turtle that knows ninjutsu, has anger issues, some unresolved daddy issues, beef with his blue brother and has a major fear of cockroaches and a very tall warrior woman who is apart of an alien salamander species and she can beat his ass effortlessly (and he likes that).

What art had very complex kuko explession?

the upcoming album art!!!!! the fact that he looks pretty blank/empty is already 🤔🤔🤔 since there aren’t that many instances where you can’t tell what he’s feeling based on his expressions but like at a distance you’d assume he’s not really smiling in the art

but when you zoom in on him it suddenly looks like he is smiling just a little bit and i think that’s what makes it a really complex expression lol
