Armsmaster: Canonically rides a “souped up motorcycle.” obviously this means tinkertech in the parahumans world, but in the biker world this means egregious, stupid custom. so i’m giving him a fat tire Harley Davidson VROD. an ugly bike with an ego for a silly man with an ego

now what do you get when you cross the most reliable, unkillable dual sport of all time with a diesel engine? you get the Kawasaki KLR-650 HDT, the M1030-M1, a finicky monster used by the US military. perfect for the unkillable Miss Militia, a connoisseur of finicky military equipment. it can go anywhere and use anything for fuel, but it was literally designed to run on jet fuel.

Velocity’s a speedster right? so obviously he’s gonna get an ultra fast liter bike, super sport, 200hp, etc. WRONG. you fucking idiot. you fucking moron. personally i don’t subscribe to grimdumb f(c?)anon that he perceives real time when he’s speeding. that’s stupid cape design imo. he can go fast as his heart desires with his power. yknow what he can’t do with his power? rip up the fucking motorcross track, doing flips and jumps and shit. radical, man. so he gets a two-stoke ripper, the Yamaha YZ-250.

Battery, on the other hand, is a girlboss who needs to get stress relief via a supersport liter bike. she’s dealing with assault all day, can you blame her? so she’s getting the Honda CBR1000RR-Fireblade. liquid cooled, 999cc, inline four, with a top speed of 190mph it really doesn’t get much faster than this, folks.

now if you take the dual sport Kawasaki, give it the suspension of the Yamaha motorcross, but the tires and street performance of the supersport, you get the Supermotard class of bikes. the crackhead hooligans of the bike community, these are the bikes that are doing wheelies in residential areas, jumping over that grassy hill near your office building, and squealing around corners as the back end slips out. can you tell i have a favorite type of bike. now, who’s our resident crackhead of the protectorate? why, Assault, of course! So he’s getting the king of supermotos (and the bike i will probably be purchasing in may), a Suzuki DRZ-400SM

loud, annoying, and entitled Triumph gets the Harley Davidson Softtail, the bike of choice for obnoxious wannabe hell’s angels, the bike of choice for your balding 50yr old dad, or for the kid who wants so badly to be relevant and accepted amongst the boomers he calls friends. idk where Triumph fits into this its kinda just a vibe yk he’s a nepo baby, he gets a harley

and finally. the perfect bike for those with mobility issues/those concerned about safety due to preexisting medical conditions, Director Piggot gets a Harley Davidson Trike and she fucking slays on it, understand? girl power.

My Specs

Processing Chip: I have a 2020 M1 MacBook Pro, with an Apple M1 processing chip. I think this is important because the Apple "M" processing chips are far better than the Intel chips. I had a MacBook with an Intel chip for years before finally upgrading my laptop... huge difference.

Memory: I currently have 8 GBs of memory.

Storage: In terms of storage, I have 232.87 GB available of 494.38 GB total. Of that, my Mods folder is 54.58 GB.

Sims 4: I own all of the EP's, GP's, SP's, and Kits. My in-game graphics settings are fairly high. Only because I refuse to compromise on my nice screenshots, lol.

I do not merge custom content. I used to - but now I prefer to separate items and delete items that I do not use. Random potted plant that came with some random set that I never use? Delete. Hairstyle that I skip every time? Delete. I have been careful about only keeping items that I actually love.

Recently, I have been experiencing minor lags, but that's only because I have been playing my current save for quite some time.

Tips to Help Reduce lag for Mac Users:

Merge custom content. I know I just said that I no longer do this, but I used to swear by this method. Apparently, the game does not care about the size of the files, only the number of files that it has to read. Having a small amount of really huge files is much better than making the game read hundreds of individual files.

Delete "localthumbcache.package" in your 'The Sims 4' folder. Don't worry, the game will generate a new one. If you have been playing the game for a while (without deleting this) - this file tends to bloat which causes the game to lag.

Use less clutter... especially if you are using custom content. I cannot stress this enough. The more items you have on the lot - the more the game will lag. Your computer is being forced to read all of this visual information - and it's in overload. There's a reason those EA lots are practically empty.

3. Do they fit in with their faction or were they sort of born into it?

Honestly? Not really. Isadola was born to an exiled/former sith lord and rouge cipher agent, in neutral space. Only to be eventually found by the republic after the latter tried (and succeeded) to kill the former due to some old grudges. So Issie is almost literally a daughter of Imperials found by the republic and taken in by the republic by sheer chance they found her first after her mother's death. She survived and lived in the republic for decades but never really felt she belonged anywhere amongst the republic anywhere she went.

For Issie's Sith AU; it's not too much different for Issie (or Atteia as she took on a different name) where the Empire found her first instead of the republic. Different timelines, same result more or less. Except Issie tried to make herself belong even if it meant suppressing a lot of herself to do so and losing parts of herself along the way that took her a long time to regain when she eventually left the empire. Like mother like daughter on that account huh?

17. Do they have family? Silbings, parents, children?

Yes she does! Her mother is Tilera Colet Shir (said former sith lord), and Donovan Teiner (The former cipher agent gone rouge due to his own ambitions). That dynamic is a whole other rabbithole, but to sum it up, Donovan views Issie as a mistake that needs to rectified (for the mere crime of existing outside of his sphere of control). And Tilera viewed her as more or less a blessing after everything she's done, "A light born from my darkness" as she used to say in confidence to her droid R3-M1.

No siblings, maybe a few half-siblings that share their father's distaste of their half-sister (haven't too far in writing Issie's personal arc that starts when the Nul plot ends to name them or flesh them out more beyond their existence).

She does have (or eventually has) children, at least when this whole Nul plot ends anyway, with her wife Lana. They eventually have 3 biological daughters (little human/miraluka hybrids), and adopted another. First born was/is Kelsa Tilera (named after both of her grandmothers), then a month or two after she was born Issie & Lana ended up adopting an orphaned (force sensitive) chiss girl, Orla Cevrus, that had stowed away on an Alliance supply ship and ended up more or less on their doorstep to only then quickly steal their hearts. A few years after that they later rounded out their chaotic brood with Katarina Lina and Anira Candora

So their order, by age at least, would be Orla, then Kelsa, then Katarina, then Anira being the baby of her sisters. They were all given Lana's surname, as Issie didn't want them to bear the stigma that came with her surname.

26. Do they have any vices?

Oh boy does she! I mean... Yes she does. Issie is hot mess before she slowly starts to clean up her act. One that hasn't changed is she 100% drinks. She used to use some illicit substances and smoke, which she slowly began to give up as her personal life began to stabilize, which now is a once in a blue moon kinda thing.

Before when meditation wasn't really working for her she would turn to such in a heartbeat for some stress relief or to take her mind off of things. Now during her Alliance days, she's picked up some healthier habits, but when her old childhood friend turned smuggler throws some wild parties... well... she still likes to enjoy herself. That's not crime right?

34. Any major flaws?

To be honest? Only one comes to mind. Which is the attachments Issie develops with those closest to her. It's one of the reasons she started to drift away from the Jedi order the closer KOTFE rolled around, and she eventually left the order. Issie lost almost everything in her life before the Jedi found her, she doesn't want to repeat that past of hers again. She watched her family droid, R3-M1, fatally throwing his self at the pirates attacking their village to allow Tilera & her to escape, only to then watch her mother die at her father's hands (if by proxy) after rescuing and protecting her in their escape attempt from the same pirates a few days later.

Issie can't handle going through that loss again, especially not with those that have managed to get past the walls, masks, and facades she's built up over the years. So it's one of the reasons she throws herself into danger to even at least try to protect the ones she loves. Whether she's learned the right lessons from it all is still very much in the air before she gets closure on that chapter of her early life.

Heck it's probably one of the reasons Issie sustained the latest major injury that she has. Just before the Nul plot starts during a mission that went to hell, Issie, in probably an desperate act of protection or reflex, pushed Lana out of the way of an attack that led to Issie breaking her spine. Issie had for a couple of months lost the ability to walk before her new spinal implant was able to take, and recovery was tough as some of the very same of those closest to her had to help her out of her own head to begin to recover properly. Now she partially wears the new outfit she does to hide the spinal implant and back brace she wears.

She's still yet to confront the very issue that causes her to throw herself aimlessly in harms way for everyone close to her.

Is 6.5% enough?

Today, there was a leak in the Times that said the independent body who make recommendations on teacher pay has recommended a pay rise of 6.5% for teachers in England for September. Obviously, we don’t know all the details, and funding is a key issue, but is 6.5% enough to save education?

Anecdata, but I recently met up with some friends from my teacher training course. We’re close to hitting the 5 year mark- by which point 1/3 of teachers apparently quit. Except I’m going to be the only one out of five of us teaching in England in September, an attrition rate of 80%. And I don’t think that attrition rate is so unusual, any more.

Right now, on one of the main websites which schools use to advertise vacancies, there are over 12,000 teaching/education jobs being advertised in England. It’s very roughly one vacancy for every two schools. These vacancies won’t be evenly distributed between all schools, so there will be schools in September with huge staff shortages. It’s not an exaggeration to say education is in crisis.

If we got 6.5% (and if it were funded, ensuring all teachers could receive the pay rise), would it make any difference? It’s lower than inflation, after all, and many of the things that we regularly need to buy have gone up by more than inflation in the past year.

As a brief explanation, most teachers in England are paid according to one pay scale. People get a bit more in Inner/outer London and the surrounding areas, but otherwise there’s one set of pay for the whole country. All teachers progress from the starting point M1, to M6, usually at the rate of one pay point a year. The 6.5% would be added on to all of these paypoints.

6.5% would bring M1 (the starting pay point for most qualified teachers) very close to the original Tory promise of a £30,000 starting salary for teachers. At the top of the main pay scale- M6 (which is the point at the pay scale where this would have most impact) it would increase salaries by over £2000 to £41, 332. This would be noticeable in pay packets, enough to reduce people’s financial stresses- which can enable them to cope better with a stressful working environment.

I know some of you will say £40k is a lot, but bear in mind we are talking about a postgraduate qualified professional with at least 6 years of experience. For someone with a chemistry, physics or maths degree, that could be their starting salary in industry. It’s about equivalent to the average salary of a pharmacist. In a capitalist system, pay has to be competitive.  

After M6, to increase your pay, you either need to get onto the “upper pay scale” or take on an extra responsibility payment known as a TLR. Getting on to the upper pay scale used to be relatively automatic, but now it’s much harder. It can certainly take people two or three years to progress from M6 to upper pay scale, and you’re expected to take on “whole school responsibilities” which can amount to a lot of extra work, with not that much of an increase in pay. Increasingly, in England, teacher pay is capped at M6, although there are a lot of older teachers who are on the upper pay scale, and sometimes, they find themselves getting pushed out because they are too expensive. If you move schools, there’s no guarantee of getting a UPS pay point at the new school.

TLRs are even worse in many ways. This is the way that people like heads of department and heads of year are paid. It’s a figure set by your school, within a national range, and there’s no consistency between schools. A Head of Science in one school may get £5000, whilst another only gets £3000. It’s worth noting that it’s also much harder to get a TLR in primary. Because TLRs are often the only way to increase your pay, a lot of people rush to take them on, sometimes in the second or third year of teaching. This often leads to burnout, because people take on massive responsibilities before they are ready, and the consequences can be damaging to everyone around them as well.

I do think 6.5% might be just enough to keep some people who are looking elsewhere from leaving. But the main reason people leave is often work related stress, often euphemistically called “workload”, which is largely being driven by the collapse in other services such as social services, the NHS and social care. “Workload” is also often made worse by being in a short staffed department, so it becomes a vicious cycle. I’ll write more about workload in another post.

However, the point is, the profession is on the brink of collapse. I really do believe that. I think the only way to save education would be to tempt a lot of the recent leavers back in. And 6.5% won’t be enough to do that. I don’t think 10% would be enough to do that. Without tackling the systemic problems within teaching, and without a pay system that really rewards classroom teachers doing the key, every day job that makes education functional, pay increases that don’t even match inflation aren’t enough.

I have been lucky to have had some pretty cool experiences on racetracks: tour lap at the Roval before its debut; Mopar “thrill” lap at the M1 Concourse; pace laps at MIS in a car I designed the wrap for; I’ve driven my own car at both MIS and Watkins Glen.

But now… I HAVE BICYCLED ON A BONA FIDE GOLDARN MOTORSPORTS RACING TRACK and it was the grandest experience!!

There were a lot of Lycra Bicycle People there who were very fast and inspiring, a lot of older folks (some of whom were also very fast Lycra People), lots of parents and kids (combinations of parents very much doin’ it for their kids, and kids obliging their much more excited parents—one ONE YEAR OLD riding with his dad 🥺). 10/10 would do it again in a heartbeat. Especially because this week I’ve just been very stressed and upset and also hormonal but now I’m happy

Oh also!! That’s Vera2, my new bicycle!!! Never fear, #Lowesforpros still exists; but he’s a steel 80s MTB and Vera2 is a proper lady, an aluminum road bike. (Full name: Vera Nabokova.) We’re about 150 miles in and loving life.

oh fun fact . so i apparently refuse to figure out a proper combat set of . anything . but my friend gave me their unused superior armor . so im finally able to move past the first quest in crimson isles . and ive been awkwardly struggling past the other stuff . but then i hit the kuudra questline thing and . well i didn't realize how right i was abt public parties being awful</33 ppl who belong in the pit end up in the crimson isles in sb it seems</3 but literally tryna do kuudra gave me a proper stress headache which i havent had in a while</3 absolute travesty and iWillnot be joining public parties again . also did not succeed at basic tier lol

joined barbarian faction tho and am delighted by it :] most of the dojo seems p neat except speed and control but control is the absolute worst easily . granted tho i havent done speed more than once lol

This so far is my fourth attempt at a drawing and so far the best one even color-wise! ✨ A tiny bit of info/lore how you wanna call it Their music sounds similar to 90s rave/jungle so stuff like M-Beat, Namco Sampling Masters, Pete Cannon and JDS, the works, but Rika plays most of the drums live or record all of the loops used; occasionally, Rika sang on a few tracks, which had a tiny bit of a different vibe, more akin to Lone and Vierre Cloud. They also organize the Alterna Underground Rave series every weekend both in the Splatlands and Inkopolis. They don't like to be referred as "idols" Now for the lads themselves - Clint, 26 - a 4* Aero MG and Kensa KORG M1 power user hailing from North Inkopolis. Day 9

I’m still slacking and to my horror others are struggling too here and there. Most of the cast is finding it tough to remember the new cues and lines and line distributions. We spent two hours on the first five lines today barely getting through the act one. Director is understandably furious. We got a proper yelling because we are just stumbling at every line. He reminds us we haven't even done the first two pages and we have 58 left. The song we open with is the one I made and I havent locked it, so we keep making mistakes on that first opening scene for over an hour.

I feel very angry with myself, even though my lackings are in a different place than others, M is correct when she says that we still haven’t jumped in fully. I wonder if I should stop writing the blog, it makes me feel like I’m still an outsider because I’m writing about it. But I also don’t want to stop because our director is really something and I would like to remember how I have been learning, how he is directing, and also these heightened emotions that I feel that may inspire me later. I already feel myself changing, my tolerance for inefficiency in my own teams is lowering. Even though I’m doing the same thing. Get to 100 percent AM!

We are on the 3rd version now. Originally we had thought it would be each person reads one part and is M1/M2/M3 turn by turn. 2nd version we played her at the same time, line by line like we are one person. Today's version seems final. There is only one M1/M2- though everyone else has dialogue its in 3rd person now. Sir seems to have picked M1/M2 as Sharm and Srab. They've played it the second day in a row. Sharm is doing super it I have to say. She’s the most experienced of the lot except M. shes able to stay in the zone and concentrate. We are working on act one which is basically pre 71, happisg times. I realise that we haven’t cried in a few sags. The first 6 to 7 days I was crying in rehearsal every day as we were learning the script. But as we are only figuring out the intros and beginning sequences none of it has been of the war of the crimes south so it’s very sort of mild. Md says that now we are forgetting the person who is actually telling the story. She is so right after rehearsal we are all feeling a bit down because I didn’t go well, I don’t blame the director for saying that he is going to see this for one more week before deciding if we will go through or not. Even though I know there’s a lot of preparation, the actual booking of the theatre, budgets, everything else is being done, so if you want to cancel you still can. After the rehearsal M calls me aside and says we need to fix that opening sequence, I’m very shame at least say yes let’s do it. She says come to our meeting tonight. I had plans to join the gym today because at this point I realise that we are no longer doing our morning exercise as we come in and go straight into the rehearsing of the play and I gained weight in the first nine days of rehearsals I’ve gained about 2 lb in any case postcode with my hunger is through the roof, stress from recent projects and personal stuff my hunger is through the roof, and though I still try to walk a little bit it’s not every day anymore like it used to be still only a few days week. also I missed the gym I haven’t been for over six months I used to love it so much. My plans though are now canceled. I go home and take a 20 minute nap and then I rush off to the meeting. Traffic is absolutely insane and I abandon my car and get a bike and thanks to a really nice bike I reach exactly at 7:29 when I am supposed to start the music work at 7:30. The meeting is in someone’s house, one of the core members of the group. I the first time see everyone in a more relaxed situation. The entire living room is split up the keyboard is kept open for me on one side on the other side people are making dinner on the other side the entire floor plan is being made with things draw been drawn to scale. The director seems to be in a better mood and everyone is figuring out logistics and planning things et cetera et cetera. everyone looks really nice they’re all dressed up in their normal clothes.

Did I ever mention that we have a sort of outfit that we wear ?. It’s T-shirts and pants that are not too loose or too tight; this is why you see me in a different T-shirt every day that is the actual uniform for rehearsal as it’s the one that is most flexible for all of our physical work. I’m the only one who still wearing my T-shirt and sweat pants. M is dressed in a sari and she keeps covering her head and I asked her why and she says that ever since the start of the play she dresses as a birangona at home. I have been considering doing a few things to keep the essence of the play with me when I go home, and I wonder if I can do the same or not I don’t know yet. I’ve considered giving up some of my favourite things to eat to do, just to channel a bit of the story is a bit more but A part of me realises that I might be best used to do the musical aspects then being a novice actor on stage, and the fact that I am in a Inner Circle meeting doing the structures for the music means that that’s also what everyone else is thinking. this is the first time that it is acknowledged at all in these circumstances that I have a sort of following all my own identity as a media person. Reference being we are trying to calculate how many shares to do how many tickets need to be sold how many tickets can be sold at certain prices and The host jokes that oh don’t worry Armeen will bring her own crowd. I have no idea if that’s true I know my friends would come. Overall it’s very light and jolly situation however once we wrap up our introductory song so I remind Sir that there is a second one to do and I actually feel like giving him ideas. I try to do a rap like spoken word piece and Azhar sort of points out doesn’t go. So I sort of give up for the day, I don’t know why I give up so easily these days. I don’t have a push sometimes when I don’t get my first brilliant idea naturally I give up very easily. The first song that I made for the intro it was literally the first thing that came out of my mind and it was based on a bunch of chords that I know that are good. The second song is different it’s not a soft song so not in my genre and obviously I am struggling with it and I just give up. but I admit it was nice to see The director a bit more relaxed; they all joke about each other and their romantic partners even Sir teases M, I’m a bit embarrassed so I just smile and sit in the corner. Our host is really sweet though she is evidently someone who has seen a lot of my work already and both the host chat with me a little bit. It feels weird to have references to my non-theatre life in theatre mode.

I’m struggling to fix my sleep schedule, when I go home it’s already pretty late, but I have my own things to do thoughts to have that I cannot ignore, I wish we were there were more days in the air, or more hours on the day that I could use to spend a little bit of time just thinking and also bloody apartment I don’t even have an AC right now and it’s getting really hot and I haven’t had the time to actually buy an AC and get it installed. Also I am dying to just organise my bookshelf it’s the first thing you see you when you enter my flat but despite the fact that I’ve had all the books nicely done I still do not have even 10 minutes to put the books in the order that I want to. I’m up till 2 am again with my own stuff. I haven’t memorised M2 either, I won’t say that I’m not enjoying being part of the music but I do realise it might lower my chances of getting any proper lines.

Oh God after disastrous rehearsal day I am a bit more relieved to see that the play is still being planned, they have decided to lower the number of shows from 25 to 19. M says it’s only physically durable to do the maximum 19 shows in a row. I have performed many many days in a row but never 19 shows I’m actually deeply looking forward to those 19 inches. Your girl hasn’t been on stage in awhile and it’s coming through.

Introduction

Moyamoya disease (MMD) is a rare cause of stroke with progressive stenosis of the end of the internal carotid artery and compensatory capillaries. The symptoms and course of moyamoya disease depend on the age of the patient at the time of symptom onset and the type of first episode (ischemic or hemorrhagic), but vary in severity from transient ischemic episodes to persistent neurological deficits [1].

Case

Clinical data

The 57-year-old female patient was admitted to the hospital on May 10, 2023, due to "depression, nervousness, worry and numbness of the body for more than 2 months." The patient complained of numbness and discomfort in the left index finger, middle finger and ring finger two months ago, gradually developed numbness and discomfort in the mouth, indistinctness of speech, weakness in both lower limbs and instability in walking, which improved for about half an hour. On the same day, I went to the local hospital in Guiyang for treatment, and no special abnormalities were found after completing relevant examinations (specific details are unknown). These symptoms can occur after strenuous exercise. Patients began to repeatedly worry about their physical conditions, nervous irritability, easy to lose temper, panic discomfort. Gradually feel low mood, decreased interest, lack of motivation, negative suicidal thoughts, poor night sleep.

Past History

"High blood pressure" for 3 years, with a maximum blood pressure of 185/? mmHg, currently taking "amlodipine 20mg QD" for the treatment of private complaints of irregular medication, poor blood pressure control.

Physical Examination

T:36.2℃ P:93 times/min R:21 times/min Bp: 119/71mmg. No obvious abnormality was found in the heart, lung and abdomen, and the signs were difficult to stand up (+). Conscious, repeatedly stressing that he was unwell. Lead to severe depression and anxiety, slow thinking, lead to negative ideas; Did not induce hallucinations delusions. Loss of instantaneous memory, loss of computational power. No depression or alternation of mood.

Head MRI+MRA: bilateral internal carotid artery intracranial segment occlusion, bilateral anterior and middle main cerebral artery shallow and local occlusion, poor development in the far branch, CTA is recommended to determine whether there is smoke change. Bilateral cerebral p1-2 is more likely to be cold than peripheral. Head and neck CTA: (1). Bilateral internal carotid artery C1-C7 segments were not developed, and severe stricture-occlusion was considered. (2). There was no development in the M1 segment of the bilateral middle cerebral artery, and there were multiple tortuous collateral circulation small blood vessel shadows around, so Moyamoya disease could be considered. (3). Bilateral anterior cerebral arteries are slender; Right-anterior cerebral artery A2 stenosis is mild to moderate. (4). Severe stenosis of P1-P2 segment of the right posterior cerebral artery is possible; The left posterior cerebral artery P1-P2 lumen is moderately narrow. Increased distal branches of bilateral posterior cerebral arteries.

Diagnosis

Major depression without psychotic symptoms; Moyamoya disease; Hyperlipidemia

Discussion

DSA is the gold standard technique for detecting intracranial stenosis and cerebrovascular malformations. The Japanese guidelines for the diagnosis of Moyamoya disease include MRI and MRA as a non-invasive diagnostic method . The latest diagnostic criteria in Japan suggest that cerebral angiography may be omitted when MRI and MRA findings meet all of the following: (i) MRA shows intracranial internal carotid artery or anterior cerebral artery and/or middle cerebral artery proximal stenosis or occlusion. (ii) MRA showed abnormal basal ganglia vascular network . At present, the treatment of moyamoya disease mainly focuses on neuroprotection, cerebral blood flow reconstruction and neurological rehabilitation. Treatment strategies can be divided into medical and surgical interventions. The main purpose of surgical intervention for Moyamoya disease is to improve blood flow in the hypoperfusion brain, and revascularization is considered useful for reducing ischemic injury . A 10-year follow-up evaluation from a Japanese Research Council registered study showed that antiplatelet therapy did not affect the incidence of cerebral infarction in patients with moyamoya disease. Therefore, revascularization is the most effective treatment for hemorrhagic and ischemic moyamoya patients .
