Day 2 of @khoc-week !!! For New World, I went with, well-- a new world! IDK if anyone's read my long ass KH fic, A Second Twilight, (which as I mentioned yesterday Jasper does appear in) but in that fic I have the cast go visit Sherwood Forest! It was one of my favorite worlds to play with, and though in the fic Jasper doesn't appear there, I figured why not send him there for today for fun? Like at the end of Re:Mind, Xigbar/Luxu/Whatever his name is never faded away. He "fell to his death" off camera. He should still be half nort right? Luxu's heart is probably stronger but it's still a fusion heart right? Maybe I'm misremembering things...just correct me in tags or smth

i know Nomura said he was done with Xehanort but Nomura can lie.

We're gonna be dealing with the foretellers and their master soon and the whole plan was to give darknesses form so they could be eradicated. So wouldn't the one extracted from Luxu look like Xehanort? (For the body shenanigans Luxu expels the OG heart out if i remember correctly)

hey hi im having swirling and spinning luxubar thoughts again. let's look at these lines.

i imagine he phrases it this way because it's a casual, laid-back way of expressing this idea. "more recently, i go by the name Xigbar, but you can call me Luxu if you want, I don't care either way." (and the fact that he doesn't have a strong preference about the name he's called still says something about his relationship to his own identity, i think!)

but absolutely i feel this can be interpreted on a deeper level, too. the question is about who he is—about his identity in isolation—but the way he responds defines him relationally—"these days they call me Xigbar, but hey, whatever suits you." a sense of identity that is fluid, dependent on who he serves, on what role he plays.

a sense of identity made even more tragic by the fact that, no, Xigbar isn't his real name, and neither was Braig, but neither is Luxu.

even the name Luxu, considered his "true identity", was bestowed on him by his master. every identity we have ever known for Xigbar, every name he's ever had, has been a name he assumed in pursuit of someone else's goal. Braig and Bragi were names he acquired from his vessels. Luxu and even Xigbar were names he was given by his superiors. he has only ever been defined in relation to someone else, by someone else's past or someone else's ambitions.

The LDI-05 Sunstride is the latest in a line of experimental support-oriented Frames that the archmage Arnebam has had commissioned based on their specifications, pulling inspiration from their own culture as a member of Twilit's priesthood, and is made to resemble both one of the Sunsworn Paladins in their people's history, as well as the goddess they worshipped, Luxus the Lightbringer. As part of its resemblance to a Paladin, it has two major formations.

In "Eclipse" formation, The Sunstride wears a heavy suit of external armor across its body. While in this state, it serves as more of a weapons platform, taking careful and large steps as it bombards enemies with pauldron-mounted pulse cannons, any additional mounted kinetic weaponry, and close quarters rocket-assisted claw swipes. It is among the heavier Frames in the Defense Unit's hangar in this state, albeit not the tallest.

In "Sunflare" formation, the Sunstride forcibly ejects the external armor, trading defense and physical weaponry in favor of acting as a larger-scale arcane channel for Arnebam's magic. As a welcome side-effect, the sturdy reinforcement in its limbs needed to hold the armor compared to its size as being among the smallest Frames make it able to move and jump at very high speeds, living up to its rabbit-like shape.

Arnebam seems to have no greater plans to upgrade the mech at any point, as they note that it's difficult to really tweak the Frame any further without sacrificing something else in return. However, they have been seen working on a document known only as "Project Flemish" while maintaining the mech in their hangar.

I really wanna develop Seridux's relationships with the rest of the Org but I keep running into the issue of me not wanting to fuck around with canon too much.

(I say, as if adding a pre-Roxas 13th member who is Xigbars gf isn't massively fucking around with canon)

...also the fact that I can't really see most of them liking them, cause I'm not really likeable. Like IRL, most would just find me boring at best.

Furthest I've gotten is "Luxord is nice to them sometimes (but also in an AU they date instead)" and "Larxene is bi and was secretly happy for another not-male/perceived afab person in the group but thinks Seri is boring af" and "Went on a mission with Demyx once but Demyx hangs out with Xigbar more (slightly) so they're not a trio or anything." Can't really make Xig Seri Lux a trio because Xig and Lux are implied to dislike each other in canon so that doesn't really work.

I was gonna have Xaldin train them to give him some spotlight but when I tried to imagine it I ended up realizing that I just don't care for him that much. Debated doing Lexaeus since I like him more cause both are Strong but I feel like his type of training wouldn't suit me (and he's a slow Mighty Glacier while they're a bit more of a Glass Cannon or Fragile Speedster so it doesn't really mesh well).

I can't do Vexen because I'm already having to write around how he'd most likely be able to sense something off about Seri (while having Luxu sense it due to some ToF lore stuff) , and he would just make them nervous due to paranoia. Originally, Seri was going to help him with some lab experiments like an assistant after Roxas joined and their subsequent demotion, and at one point I had considered him finding out and using Ruesid as a base for the replicas...but then I felt like that took too much away from Vexen's canon accomplishments with the project, so the best he gets is Seri letting him steal some Puppets from the Ghost Temple (before they just up and vanish on him before he can do anything. Multiple times. He gives up.)

They pretty much never interact with Xemnas. And Zexion...I could try something with him but idk if it'd work out.

Finally, Roxas and Xion join too late to build much. They get some bonding with Xion (but not enough to get in the way of the Sea Salt Trio) and then Seridux dies during the plot of Days before Xion ever rejoins after defecting.

According to This House of Dreams, the diving suit isn’t actually Zane anymore- the Bright Presence took it over as a physical representation/manifestation/avatar. That sounds familiar…

Did the Bright Presence teach Alan to cast his physical form aside & he, in turn, taught this to Luxu?

Die Summeracademy geht mit einem Examen zuende. Heute morgen, so heißt es, seien die Kandidaten um vier Uhr morgens gesehen worden, als die einen zur Arbeit gingen und die anderen aus einer Karaokebar kamen. The Master of Masters, an enigmatic genius inventor, presided over the world Daybreak – a beautiful and vibrant world separate from the lanes connecting all the worlds beyond. Prior to the birth of Daybreak, the Master created a sentient book called the Book of Prophecies. Its sole purpose was to observe, record, and archive all aspects of existence throughout time. So, he placed the book somewhere it could perform its duties undisturbed – a place no one, not even himself, could easily access. Even so, he kept a link to the book via his Gazing Eye; his own eye that he implanted on his keyblade. But even that vanished in time.

The Master used the Book’s descriptions to create various machinations such as the World Replicas, the Chirithy, and even keyblades. It was all part of his objective to “protect what comes after”. At the heart of this objective were his six apprentices Ira, Aced, Gula, Invi, Luxu, and Ava. He taught and trained them until they mastered keyblade. He then instructed his apprentices, whom he called the Foretellers, to form unions that each would preside over. Their objective was to train prospective guardians to protect the worlds beyond from the darkness and cleanse their corruption.

Unfortunately, the Master wouldn’t be around. For some reason, he strangely disappeared without a trace. Before that, he left each of his apprentices with important objectives of which they were instructed not to disclose to the others. Luxu, his most valued apprentice, was the first to be given his objectives. Luxu arrived at The Master’s chamber wearing a smaller version of The Master’s black coat that only he was given. The reason was never clear.

“But why am I the only one who doesn’t get a flashy robe?” Lux asked him.

“Because I said so, humph!” The Master replied, childishly folding his arms. “Also, I ran out of ideas for designs. But don’t get all mopey about it. I think it suits you.”

The Master threw his arm around Luxu’s shoulder. “Look! Now we’re twins!”

“Uh huh…” Luxu then replied, unconvinced.

The Master sat at his desk flipping through an alchemy book. He turned to Luxu and spoke, “…so that makes you the indispensable number seven”.

Confused, Luxu blankly stared. The Master stood from his seat then held out his hand. Streaks of electricity writhed in his palm, and then a black and silver keyblade appeared. He handed it off to Luxu who couldn’t help but notice the strange eye implanted near the tip. Before he could ask about it, the Master tapped the keyblade’s sharp edge and chanted “Behold, the Gazing Eye!”

“The Gazing Eye? So, that’s the name of this keyblade then?”

“That’s not what it’s called. Hmm...come to think of it, it doesn’t have a name.”

Luxu examined the keyblade, gliding his hand across it. “No name, huh…”

“Well, gazing or not…” the Master sighed, titling his head back. “That keyblade does have an eye in it – my eye, to be exact”.

“Ew!” Luxu winced in disgust.

“Oh, you think that’s GROSS do ya!?” the Master shouted, somewhat annoyed. “Anyway, about your objective. I need you to pass down that ‘nameless’ keyblade to your apprentice, and then them to theirs, so that I can observe the future as it unfolds.”

“Observe? Wait, does this have something to do with the Book of Prophecies?”

The Master smirked. “Bingo! Since my link to the Book was severed, I can’t see its archives. So, I don’t know what’s going to happen next – well, not entirely. The Book doesn’t dictate fate – it only records what it sees. So, by my telling you this, you’ve already succeeded. That means you found an apprentice, passed down that handsome keyblade, and fulfilled your objective! Congratulations!”

The Master clapped hysterically, ignoring Luxu’s confused face.

(Why’s he all giddy and proud? I haven’t even done anything yet.)

“Unfortunately…” The Master clasped his hands then stretched his arms. “You’ll be on your own from here on out. Nothing to keep you company except for that keyblade and –”

The Master suddenly slapped his fist into his palm.

“Right! I completely forgot. Hold on a sec.”

The Master rose from his seat. He pulled a large and dusty black chest from underneath his desk, then dragged it to the center of the room. It had strange red and silver symbols all round its sides, and a large symbol with arrows pointing in every which way on its lid.

The Master cleared his throat. “As I was saying, it’ll just be you, that keyblade, and this chest. Once you’re completely out of sight, all you have to do from then on is watch with your own eyes – and my eye, of course – as things unfold. Then when the time is right, go off and do your thing.”

“What’s in it?”

The Master began to giggle uncontrollably.

“It’s a secret. And, well, you see, the thing is…you can never open it!” he said, nonsensically, then slapped his hand onto Luxu’s right shoulder. “Buuuut since I’m feeling generous, I’ll indulge you. This secret stays between us though, and you have to promise to never open the chest.”

Luxu nodded. The Master leaned in and quietly whispered into his ear. Luxu hung on to every word. The realization of what lay inside the box shook him to his very core. He stared at the man he admired and followed, bewildered, then asked “But why?!”

The Master smirked while staring him in the eyes. “You’ll see…”

After that Luxu met with the Master a couple more times before moving onto his mission. And just as the Master had done, he disappeared and patiently waited for what would unfold.

Here's to why Alex is with Pauline almost five years now. She's his french skinny dream and her birthday is the same as Jane Birkin's. His wishes literally come to him and he doesn't even have to work hard for it and the doors always open up for him. Talk about luck. He won't give up on her, we heard zero cheating rumours even when she is not with him. Remember how many rumours came out when he was with his other gfs. And Pauline is willing to keep her party persona down for him, Alex is comfortable with her. And this relationship is less in public than his others which is mostly a sign of it will hold longer maybe even to marriage and kids. I know we don't like Pauline since 2018 but Alex likes her she's his type he got perfectly. She proved her place with Amanda enough last year. We can't say she's hinting anymore that was 2019 to 2020, she shows him now. She gets invited by his friends and they accepted her in, in public now too. I think he wanted to stop it with her in end 2020 that's why we had the feeling it's over but he changed his mind because after all Alex got what he wanted his dream woman. I know you won't agree because you dislike her but that won't change it anyway so instead of biting your nails all the time and having the fear of seeing Alex and Pauline together, guys relax and accept. I put a lot of hope into him too when I joined the fandom but now it's clear we know what his life interests are. Yes he goes to hotels in Paris to luxus hotels and invites Pauline in too. It doesn't matter if he goes to her apartment or not he stays and spends time with her. Put your hopes down lovelies and don't get hurt because we all should have come to the conclusion already that Alex won't get therapy, he won't break up with Pauline and he won't get a smart decent kind woman which would suit him more. He got what he wished in his dreams, that's it for him. Now he probably thinks about the next step with her that could be marriage so they can live together because visa issues. Alex doesn't think like 2019 and '20 anymore he changed his mind and accepted that's what he wished, so accept it too instead of stressing yourself so much. //

THANK GOD THAT THERE ARE STILL PEOPLE WHO THEY REASON! In any case, I don't know if Alex and Louise will get married and if they will have a child, in short, it is demanding, which Alex does not like otherwise he would have started a family with Taylor in the same period that the other members of the band had children.
