Neunundneunzig Luftballons >__< OMG, 80's are back :3 This is such an absurd thing, that I must laugh a lot. 99 Luftballons is an early 80s german song about the war, that was accidentally started by 99 balloons. Both sides of cold war was so frightened, that they started firing at that poor balloons, which resulted in a deadly conflict for next 99 years. When I heard that song for the first time, back in the 80s, I would not believe, that there is yet another cold war with weird balloon incident hiding somewhere in my future. I definitely don't want that "chinese things" above my head, but that situation is such an unbelievable one, that I must laugh. When I saw czech president under the plexiglass cover, I was almost sure I had seen everything, so I would be able to finaly rest in peace, but this is totally diferent level. And as I look at the ongoing situation, I am a little bit worrying that I will rest in the pieces instead of peace…

Americans grew suspicious of what other kind of balloon than air Germany had discovered, nearly resulting in global nuclear war as the song itself had prophesied. In the end, it turned out the alternative was merely "Staubballon," just like any American dust-balloon.
