Lucifer’s Suite – One Month Later

The grand chamber was silent, save for the occasional crackling of the fireplace. Lucifer lay on bed, still and serene, his chest rising and falling slowly. His hibernation had been deep, a natural state meant to replenish his energy—a necessity for any Archangel. But something was different this time.

Suddenly, Lucifer's eyes fluttered open. At first, they were unfocused, glowing faintly in the dim light of the room. He inhaled sharply, sitting up with a start. His head swiveled around, taking in his surroundings with confusion.

Lucifer: *murmuring to himself* How long have I been asleep...?

The door to his chamber creaked open, and Charlie stepped inside, her face lighting up in surprise.

Charlie: *rushing to his side* Dad! You’re awake!

Lucifer blinked, still disoriented, as she wrapped him in a gentle hug.

Lucifer: *softly* Charlie… What happened? How long have I been out?

Charlie: *pulling back, hesitant* Um… About a month. Maybe a little more.

Lucifer frowned, his mind racing. The last thing he remembered was slipping into hibernation, drained from the pregnancy. His hand instinctively went to his abdomen, his face twisting in confusion as he felt… nothing.

Lucifer: *his voice low, alarmed* The baby. Where is my baby?

Charlie's expression fell, and she hesitated, glancing away.

Charlie: *softly* Dad… you… you miscarried. While you were comatose.

Lucifer froze, his expression hardening as her words sank in.

Lucifer: *his voice trembling, a mix of anger and disbelief* What? No. That’s not possible. My child was alive. I felt him growing. How could this happen?

Charlie: *trying to comfort him* It was… complicated. Ozzie said it was because your energy levels were too low. You were already drained, and then going into hibernation… It was too much for your body to sustain both you and the baby.

Lucifer stood abruptly and he began to pace the room.

Lucifer: *snapping* Why was I not awakened? Why was I not told sooner?

Charlie: *pleading* We couldn’t wake you, Dad. You were too weak. And we… we thought it was for the best.

Lucifer: *his voice like a growl* For the best? I missed the birth of my child. My daughter. And now my son’s soul is gone!!

Before Charlie could respond, the door opened again, and Alastor stepped inside. He looked hesitant, his usual cheery demeanor replaced with a rare seriousness.

Alastor: Lucifer, if I may interrupt… there’s more you need to know.

Lucifer: Alastor?! You’re talking! Tell me everything.

Alastor glanced at Charlie, who nodded, before stepping forward.

Alastor: The child wasn’t lost. Not entirely.

Lucifer froze, his fury momentarily replaced by confusion.

Lucifer: Explain.

Alastor: *carefully* The baby was… displaced. His soul was transferred out of your body, but something went wrong during the process. It fled before Ozzie could anchor it.

Charlie: We… we don’t know where he is.

The weight of their words struck Lucifer like a blow. His hands clenched into fists, his expression darkening with grief and rage.

Lucifer: *his voice a low snarl* You lost my son. You let his soul slip away into the void?

Alastor: *gently* Not the void. We believe she’s somewhere in Hell. The essence was too strong to vanish entirely.

Lucifer: Then I will find him. No matter where she is, no matter what it takes. I will bring my son home.

Charlie: Oh uh…I know this is bad timing…but there is another issue…

Lucifer: Nothing is more important than—

Charlie: ALL DEMONS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON EARTH ANYMORE!

Lucifer: *blinks* What?

i’m just saying, if it’s so easy for people to wrap their brains around the idea that dean’s hell was being shaped into a torturer, then is it so hard to imagine that the cage would give the same role to lucifer. it’s hell. it’s not fun for anyone. and they are there for an unknown, huge amount of time. dean broke in thirty years. lucifer and sam are there for thousands. and no one was coming to pull him free, were they? take the role as you’re given it, and shape yourself to its cruelty because it’ll break you otherwise, and get fucking good at your one new job, and hurt the only thing you care about until you’re both unrecognizable. because this is hell. this is what it does to everyone.

i’m not saying it’s fine. i’m saying how do we know there was ever a choice.

For hazbin hotel au: what if alastor arrives at young age? Let say an incident which both he and his ma die at same time but because of his heritage, he got sent to hell, forced to survive in the streets until he meet Charlie and the rest of the hotel residents. How do you think will happen if he meet Lucifer?

Oh, so an AU of the AU? Sounds fun! Let me think...

Well, my first thought is that Alastor's demon form would be fairly different, since it's so closely tied into the manner in which he died. Buuuuut... I really like him as a deer demon, so I'm going to handwave that away. I'm also going to have him keep his powers associated with radio, despite him not yet having become a radio host, with the justification that listening to the radio shows together with Nicaise and making her laugh by perfectly imitating the radio man's accent were such fond memories for him they carried over to his demon form.

Ultimately, this version of Alastor still becomes the Radio Demon. But unlike the Alastor who died as an adult, nobody knows what the Radio Demon looks like. He's a mystery, known only for his radio broadcasts and striking down Overlords from the shadows. So when this little red kid with deer ears shows up on Charlie's doorstep introducing himself as the Radio Demon, she and Vaggie are understandably skeptical.

That skepticism dies when he blasts Sir Pentious's airship right out of the sky.

Alastor still brings in Niffty and Husk - two of the only people who know who the Radio Demon really is - still fixes up the building, and still acts as the facility manager. But everyone involved in the hotel keeps his identity a secret, at his request.

When Lucifer arrives at the hotel, he's in sheer disbelief that the hotel's manager is this tiny kid. Never mind Alastor frequently pointing out that he's around a hundred years old now. That doesn't really clarify anything for Lucifer who's several millennia old. He's less of a condescending jerkass to Alastor at first, seeing him as a kid, but Alastor doesn't take kindly to being treated like a child. So Alastor does what Alastor does and prods under Lucifer's armor. He starts throwing himself at Charlie, hanging off her arm, acting like a precocious kid and interrupting Lucifer's attempts to bond with her while shooting the King of Hell smug looks.

Charlie finds it a bit weird given Alastor usually acts more like an adult, but she does think it's kind of cute so she allows it. Lucifer is furious. He frequently refers to Alastor as, 'that damn brat,' and casually picks him up and teleports him to other rooms of the hotel for 'a time out' and generally treats Alastor like he's a nuisance, not a member of the hotel staff.

And then... Alastor's parentage comes out.

Lucifer is just as awkward with the childlike version of Alastor as he is with the version who died as an adult. That awkwardness just manifests differently. He keeps trying to make amends by treating Alastor as though he's an actual kid, lavishing him with gifts, inviting him on trips, so on and so forth. Alastor really doesn't think he should have to decline a trip to Lu Lu World more than once. Charlie tries to step in on his behalf, but she's not so great at dealing with Lucifer's awkwardness either.

One of the most insulting gifts is a pet, similar to Razzle and Dazzle, who is supposed to keep Alastor safe.

Alastor explodes.

He died when he was ten and he's been keeping himself safe ever since then, thank you very much! He was strong enough and clever enough to become one of the most feared Overlords in the Pentagram, all without ever showing his face once! And it's been over a hundred years since then! If Lucifer wanted to be his dad, he's about a century too late!

Unfortunately, one of the downsides of being stuck in a child's body is that sometimes his adult emotions are too big for it. All the anger and frustration comes out as tears, which only makes Alastor that much angrier. Lucifer tries to offer comfort, to pull Alastor into a hug, but Alastor melts into the shadows before Lucifer can even touch him.

I know a lot of people interpret Lucifer as a younger sibling figure but I've always found him more interesting as an older brother, someone the other angels desperately wanted to look up to only for him to 'abandon' his responsibilities for being a rebellious little shit dreamer, the first try fuck up

btw interpreting cas and sam's medical procedures as inherently erotic becomes even more insane re: 11.14 when sam basically begs who he thinks is cas to stick his vessel's hand in sam's soul cavity for the third time (the first time he's doing so with consent). like at this point, especially after 9.10, it's cas and sam's Thing that they do in moments of desperation and exploration/experimentation but sam has his consent twisted by lucifer as he invades this intangible space that is sam and cas'; now sam is having his soul cavity invaded without his consent by the same vessel's hand for the third time but this time it's lucifer, which now connects the sexual subtexts and sexual assault metaphors from within lucifer and sam's relationship to the erotic nature of cas and sam's moments of relationship exploration, or even vice versa. the last time sam's soul was touched by anyone, it felt as if it had been skinned alive, dean—something that was lucifer's doing but was communicated through cas. now it's the opposite. i will touch your soul, just because you asked so nicely.

Waking up orders in House of Lamentation:

1/ Beelzebub - always the first one to wake up before everyone else because he’s hungry,  also because of his morning work-out routine, usually wakes up at 5 or 5:30 never later. goes to the kitchen first so he can prepares his work-out snack and has his 1st breakfast of the day. takes the advantage of waking up early to sneak into your room so you two can have some morning cuddles (sometimes just to find mammon on your bed). 

2/ Satan - this perfect man has his day scheduled duh, he has plan, he need to be perfect in order to beat Lucifer. Waking up at 6am, maybe sooner than Beel if he’s on breakfast duty (he want to make sure 1) Beel doesn’t digest all the breakfast ingredient 2) he must make better breakfast than Lucifer) . Starting his day with a cup of coffee and a good book after finishing his morning routine. He’s usually the one who goes to everyone’s room to wake everyone up, makes sure they all get to school on time so they don’t ruin the family’s reputation (which honestly is ruined at this point) by being late (also because he likes to take care for his family members but he will never admit).

3/ Lucifer - Asmodeus - Mammon: most likely to wake up at the same time. 

Lucifer: he’s not a morning person. waking up early is a no no but he has his duty. usually pulls an all nighter and then leaves early because he has works to do, also usually skips breakfast (“I don’t have time to eat breakfast” is his excuse). don’t you worry, Mammon will make his older brother eat probably, that’s his specialty. In case Lucifer has a rest day, he sleeps ’til noon and Mammon will also make sure that no one can’t in interrupt his sleep. this man never get enough sleep, so it’s not unusual to see him knocks off on his paperworks.

Mammon: he’s not Lucifer’s most trusted brother for nothing. sometimes his breakfast sucks but not always, he knows how to make a edible breakfast. usually wakes up later than Beel and Satan but most time he’s earlier than Lucifer if Lucifer finishes his works after 2 in the morning and be able to get a few hours good sleep. the other one besides satan make sure everyone eat their breakfast properly and goes to school properly (he’s the second eldest c’mon). most time when he goes to bed late the night before (because of his parties, part-time jobs or modeling gig, night out…) he ends up overslept. take a really long time to get up from bed, you or one of his brother have to drag him out of bed. 

Asmodeus - Satan wakes him up every morning, refuses to get out of bed if it's not you or Satan the one who wake him but wakes up eventually cuz he can't skip his morning bath and skin care routine (his older brother always complains but it becomes a habit for both of them now). HE HAS HIS MORNING ROUTINE AND RITUAL AND BATH AND EVERYTHING. take a really long time to prepare in the morning. also he always make sure to goes to bed before 11pm and has an at least 8-hour sleep, you know, have to get enough sleep to maintain this beautiful skin.

4/ Leviathan: first of all, he does virtual schooling. second, “one more episode/round/chapter and i go to bed then end up stay awake til 5 in the morning” type - when Beel wakes up is when he goes to sleep. can’t get out of bed. on days he doesn’t have to be at school, he wakes up at 10 and starts his virtual schooling. on days he has to be at school, Mammon and Satan will make sure he’s on time. however, he still shows up late at breakfast then has to get his breakfast at school cuz Beel eats his portion every fucking morning, 

5/ Belphegor: he’s avatar of sloth. may wakes up earlier than Levi but goes back to sleep immediately. Beel has to carry him to the dining hall to make sure he has his breakfast (and sometimes carry him to school). Doesn’t matter he wakes up early or not, he goes to school to sleep to be honest.

Montresor is the Bad Ending of White Raven II: Electric Bogaloo

(I had posted this as a reblog of the other one, but then I realized it gets completely lost, so I made it a separate post).

So I came back to this thought after the last few chapters where we saw several new interactions between Annabel and Montresor. So why not retrace my steps and add some new information?

I mean, yeah, yeah, Girlboss and all that. We already know that Annabel is a show woman, so turning this back into some sort of show as a demonstration of power is very much in line, but...why?

I think I have a theory, but let's take it one part at a time.

I think what these chapters have told me is that Annabel is much more aware of her similarities to Montresor than I expected.

Without going any further, he comments on it:

And can we stop at Annabel's reaction when he does?

Montresor made the wrong move, and here's the result: about to become an orb, under someone else's thumb, helpless and flailing desperately to hold on to what dignity he has left. This is what awaits her if she takes one wrong step.

And as if all of this wasn't uncomfortable enough for Annabel to contemplate, there is one last thing in this situation that, I can't help but think, terrifies her the most.

There are winners and losers in this game. Those who succeed and those who fail.

Montresor has definitely lost this game, at least for now.

And this was Lenore's face when she saw Montresor for what he really is: a pathetic, frightened charlatan with no tools other than the manipulation of his allies. And again, a loser.

I can see why Annabel would do this whole show as a way to exert power. Because she is all of those things...except the last one.

Presenting herself as a winner is, from Annabel's point of view, the only thing that keeps her from being Montresor's equal in Lenore's eyes.

A desperate pantomime that tries to draw a line.
