For hazbin hotel au: what if alastor arrives at young age? Let say an incident which both he and his ma die at same time but because of his heritage, he got sent to hell, forced to survive in the streets until he meet Charlie and the rest of the hotel residents. How do you think will happen if he meet Lucifer?
Oh, so an AU of the AU? Sounds fun! Let me think...
Well, my first thought is that Alastor's demon form would be fairly different, since it's so closely tied into the manner in which he died. Buuuuut... I really like him as a deer demon, so I'm going to handwave that away. I'm also going to have him keep his powers associated with radio, despite him not yet having become a radio host, with the justification that listening to the radio shows together with Nicaise and making her laugh by perfectly imitating the radio man's accent were such fond memories for him they carried over to his demon form.
Ultimately, this version of Alastor still becomes the Radio Demon. But unlike the Alastor who died as an adult, nobody knows what the Radio Demon looks like. He's a mystery, known only for his radio broadcasts and striking down Overlords from the shadows. So when this little red kid with deer ears shows up on Charlie's doorstep introducing himself as the Radio Demon, she and Vaggie are understandably skeptical.
That skepticism dies when he blasts Sir Pentious's airship right out of the sky.
Alastor still brings in Niffty and Husk - two of the only people who know who the Radio Demon really is - still fixes up the building, and still acts as the facility manager. But everyone involved in the hotel keeps his identity a secret, at his request.
When Lucifer arrives at the hotel, he's in sheer disbelief that the hotel's manager is this tiny kid. Never mind Alastor frequently pointing out that he's around a hundred years old now. That doesn't really clarify anything for Lucifer who's several millennia old. He's less of a condescending jerkass to Alastor at first, seeing him as a kid, but Alastor doesn't take kindly to being treated like a child. So Alastor does what Alastor does and prods under Lucifer's armor. He starts throwing himself at Charlie, hanging off her arm, acting like a precocious kid and interrupting Lucifer's attempts to bond with her while shooting the King of Hell smug looks.
Charlie finds it a bit weird given Alastor usually acts more like an adult, but she does think it's kind of cute so she allows it. Lucifer is furious. He frequently refers to Alastor as, 'that damn brat,' and casually picks him up and teleports him to other rooms of the hotel for 'a time out' and generally treats Alastor like he's a nuisance, not a member of the hotel staff.
And then... Alastor's parentage comes out.
Lucifer is just as awkward with the childlike version of Alastor as he is with the version who died as an adult. That awkwardness just manifests differently. He keeps trying to make amends by treating Alastor as though he's an actual kid, lavishing him with gifts, inviting him on trips, so on and so forth. Alastor really doesn't think he should have to decline a trip to Lu Lu World more than once. Charlie tries to step in on his behalf, but she's not so great at dealing with Lucifer's awkwardness either.
One of the most insulting gifts is a pet, similar to Razzle and Dazzle, who is supposed to keep Alastor safe.
Alastor explodes.
He died when he was ten and he's been keeping himself safe ever since then, thank you very much! He was strong enough and clever enough to become one of the most feared Overlords in the Pentagram, all without ever showing his face once! And it's been over a hundred years since then! If Lucifer wanted to be his dad, he's about a century too late!
Unfortunately, one of the downsides of being stuck in a child's body is that sometimes his adult emotions are too big for it. All the anger and frustration comes out as tears, which only makes Alastor that much angrier. Lucifer tries to offer comfort, to pull Alastor into a hug, but Alastor melts into the shadows before Lucifer can even touch him.

I feel like people have been quick to dismiss Mimzy's importance in Ep. 5
I've been seeing a lot of Mimzy hate, mainly on Reddit, where people are genuinely REALLY hating on Mimzy because she was annoying, interrupted Hell's Greatest Dad, and served no purpose in the episode.
Whilst the previous two points are down to personal taste, I feel like considering Mimzy's role in this episode nonexistent, or that she just exists for fanservice here, is greatly overlooking what this episode is about. There are two focuses to the episode, one of course being Lucifer and his relationship with Charlie, but it's also the deepest look into Alastor's actual character that we've gotten so far, I'd say significantly more than the finale. We see two sides to Alastor that both Mimzy and Luficier bring out, and I wanted to kind of highlight my thoughts and what the episode was trying to show us about Alastor that we wouldn't have gotten if Mimzy wasn't there.
Alastor's instant hostility towards Lucifer makes it incredibly clear that Alastor can't keep his cool all the time - his two biggest flaws is that he is power-hungry and incredibly petty. From what we know - and what is likely to be true considering Lucifer is shown to have no idea who he is - Alastor has never met Lucifer before this. If the theories that he belongs to Eve/Lilith in some way are true, there is reasonable ground to say that this immediate hatred towards him could be justified, maybe it was in some way Lucifer's fault that he's caught in this deal and this is his way of taking it out on him or trying to uphold his end of that deal.
But look how much his mask slips, look how annoyed and angry he is. If this was a font that he was doing to somehow make Lucifer intentionally mad at him for some sort of personal gain, he wouldn't have looked so murderous. Him just leaning down and hissing 'fuck you' right in his face was so shocking for the audience purely because no one has done that to him before, no one has pushed him so much.
This indicates that Alastor isn't just playing some sort of game, Lucifer genuinely got under his skin, because he is so obviously more powerful than Alastor and he HATES that. He hates being reminded that he's not the biggest meanest in Hell - this was explored more in his showdown in Adam, but at the time of this episode's release, this is the most flawed and 'human' Alastor has ever felt. He's dropped from this force of mysterious evil, to randomly picking a fight with the Devil himself because he was so catty about being shown up.
As further reinforced with him snapping at Husk when he also reminded him he wasn't as all-powerful as he sees himself to be, Alastor will lash out at those who make him feel like he isn't the one in control and pulling the strings of everything - we finally see a hint of motivation for him sticking around at the hotel at all.
But then there's Mimzy.
We immediately go from seeing Alastor at his worst, at his most aggravated and petty, to seeing him literally melt into a hug. The demon who, according to Viv herself, hates physical contact so much that he would distort and melt himself to get away from it. We so quickly go from being shocked that Alastor is behaving so spitefully to now having to take in Alastor being ecstatic to see someone who he considers to be a friend.
Having this be so directly after his massive tiff with Lucifer is so important. If this wasn't included in this episode, our only insight into the person Alastor actually is would be that he's an asshole. Picking fights with people just because he wants to stay on top, that its the thing he cares about the most. But Mimzy does come along, and we see that it isn't true at all - and its confusing, and that is so perfect.
You think you're getting somewhere with the person Alastor is, but you see that, hold on, there is actually a semblance of heart in there, here he is actually caring about someone. But what is so important about this being a relationship he shares with Mimzy, and something that couldn't at all be explored with, say, Rosie, is the kind of person Mimzy is.
Mimzy double crossed Alastor. And, according to Husk, this is a somewhat regular occurace. We can see that Alastor is annoyed at her, and I think most of us were prepared for him to do something to her like he was doing to those loan sharks a few seconds before this confrontation.
But...he doesn't. Not at all, he doesn't even snap at her. Perhaps scold her a bit, but other than that, he is so nice to her and just politely tells her to leave and that is that. He does more shit to Lucifer, who literally hasn't done nothing but exist in his presence, than someone who just trampled all over his ego by using him, both as a shield and, well, somewhat emotionally.
In this episode, Alastor is shown to lash out. Easily. All you have to do is be more powerful than Alastor, and he won't like you - that's the impression you'd get from his scenes with Lucifer alone. But we have his scenes with Mimzy as well, and you're being told, hold on, no, that isn't quite correct, because he's not acting the same here. What has Alastor got to gain from letting Mimzy get off of this with no repercussions? Mimzy, someone who has probably sold her soul to someone else and has absolutely no power at all.
Nothing. He does it because Alastor cares about her.
I don't think I would have considered his friendship with Rosie to be genuine at all if it wasn't for his friendship with Mimzy. Rosie is so powerful, and Alastor has so much to gain from being in close cahoots with her, but it's so clear that he doesn't care about that, but he sees her as an equal. If all we saw from Alastor in that episode was him lusting for power, it would render the way we see all his relationships with people to be of some gain to him somehow. ESPECIALLY Rosie and other Overlords like Zestial.
This makes Alastor and Mimzy's relationship arguably one of the most interesting in the show. Someone who is so powerful and unpredictable, who hardly cares for anyone other than himself, caring about this absolute gremlin of a woman. He likes Mimzy purely because she's fun to be around, a sentiment you might expect from Alastor, with his stated reasoning for joining the hotel being to laugh at people, but he's in no way laughing at Mimzy. You can tell that he doesn't intimidate her at all, because she has the absolute balls to pull off the loan shark thing with him.
Mimzy and Lucifer's interactions with Alastor has made him to be one, if not THE most interesting character in the show. Because you're exploring two contradictory sides of the same coin at once. One where he gets so worked up and angry over not having the power he sees himself as having, and one where he's visibly hurt that his long time friend used him. In one instance you have him pulling out all the stops to be as hostile as he could be to Lucifer without actually hurting him (even though he clearly wants to), and another where he has full range to hurt Mimzy as much as he wants to, but he doesn't.
Alastor cares about people. But also disregards people like playing cards. He is such a mixed bag, so far from being one note, and you wouldn't have gotten that insight without Mimzy.

MEPHISTOPHELES
introductory note: this post has been in my drafts for quite some time, slowly and objectively getting spoon-fed with important things I learn about Mephistopheles; and now that the newest lesson is out, I'm happy I decided to wait to put it up. It's going to be lengthy, but it's categorised with titles, so navigation should be fairly easy.
âââ´ËË
To begin with, it's upsetting enough when someone is misunderstood and treated in an unjust manner as a result; but when there aren't even any attempts made to understand them, that's truly not tolerable. At all. Even if that someone is only a compound of pixels.
Besides the prejudice, such behaviour says something about its people and portrays how they may deal with individuals (similar to the characters they're hating on) in real life. This is something that's horribly common in fandoms, but it's in no way whatsoever acceptable or right.
It's also so strange how some characters are excused, accepted, tolerated and swooned over when/if they do similar/worse/horrid things, while others are blatantly blamed. So I ask: why the hypocrisy?
This is something forgotten by many: loving a character is a package that includes accepting their mistakes and shortcomings, but loving them neither means that they're perfect, nor makes a mistake they make acceptable just because they're the ones who made it. A mistake is a mistake, and a shortcoming is a shortcoming.
Mephistopheles is one of my all-time favourite characters, and my favourite in the franchise as well. I love him so, so much. However, that's just one reason as to why it hurts to see how misunderstood and disliked he is; the sheer hatred directed at his character and shallow understanding of his person are so unfair and, quite frankly, very ill-based.
He may behave like an arrogant, rude and traditional aristocrat most of the time, but numerous reasons and factors stand behind his behaviour and viewpoints (even though they aren't always entirely right).
But: he's mostly painted in negative tones, as it's normally ignored or forgotten how, in reality, he's sweet, awkward, honest and kind; his actions tend to go against the mean things or claims he might say, and reflect who he is on the inside instead.
More importantly, he's lonely and deeply hurtârightfully and understandably soâthat is an undeniable fact which he himself admitted.
THE HERITAGE
Numerous times throughout the story, Mephistopheles says thatâfor generation upon generationâhis family has been serving the royal one, whether it be as knights or otherwise, and he, no different, was raised to do just that. He was born to do just that.
However, an additional objective was added to his agenda: he was not only to serve the demon king or prince, but also become the latter's friend.
Mephistopheles was, quite literally, brought up to be Diavolo's friend; and as he apparently seems to keep to himself and doesn't talk about any other friends or even acquaintances (so far), I suspect that means Diavolo isâwasâhis sole friend.
As per the royals' wishes, the two children grew up togetherâone became the heir to the throne, while the other became that heir's right hand man.
Again, Mephistopheles is not merely a member of the demonic aristocracy; the family he comes from is explicitly dedicated to serving and protecting the royal family, and it has been for thousands of centuries. It's very important to keep this in mind, because that ancient heritage most likely founded many of his viewpoints, beliefs, and opinions (like his thoughts on humans and fallen angels).
With such heritage comes the burden of a great responsibility, as well as immense pride and honor. So, by becoming Diavolo's right hand man, Mephistopheles was able to fulfill his roleâand hence his destinyâas well as respect his family's golden heritage and treasure his honor.
However, when Luciferâa newcomer, and a fallen angel nonethelessâcame into the picture, everything took a drastic turn for Mephistopheles. He lost his (possibly only) friend. He lost his position. And since he was the first member of his family to be released from the duty of directly serving the royal family, there was an unexpected stutter in his own family's continuous heritage (of tending to the royals). This, in turn, hurt not only his feelings, but also wounded his pride and injured his honor (as well as his family's).
As such, what Mephistopheles is feeling doesn't just stem from something as simple as jealousy. On the contrary, Mephistopheles feels as though his honor and pride have been marred, his self-esteem and worth have gotten cracked, his family has been disgraced, and that's all because he was robbed of his positionâmeaning his very purpose in lifeâdue to the prince's friendship with a stranger, a fallen angel.
His destiny to benefit the prince (which had been decided for him even before his birth) was broken right before his eyes, yet he could do nothing but watch from afar, because he was raised to follow the royal family's every command, accept their every whim and go through with their every desire. These proprieties are a law that flows in his blood and was carved into his very bones.
All he could do was try to prove himself, his skills and his very worth to Diavolo again and again and again.
THE MINDSET
As aforementioned: seeing as Mephistopheles descends from a family whose entire bloodline has been dedicated to the royal one, his mindset was formed by that family's old traditions; and he believes in those traditions, which is why, in his mind, a fallen angel and a demon are not equals.
Prior to Diavolo's reign, no Demon King had made any attempt to form friendly relations and harmony between the three realms. This means that, up until that point, angels and demons (as well as humans) still held on to their own beliefs, believed that each of them is superior to the other, had no interest in communication or so much as considering the other party's views, and still gave their own interests importance over those of others/humans (more so in the case of demons).
This animosity portrays itself clearly in Lucifer's severe reactions to Diavolo and his views on demons from back when he was still a seraph. Even the way other angels talked about demons shows a certain coldness. And the same goes for demons; they all viewed Lucifer and his brothers as fallen angelsâabsolutely unwelcome outcastsâand the shopkeepers of those were not even willing to let them into their stores; rather, they made a point to force and kick them out, like they did to Mammon.
This tension between the realms encouraged Diavolo to found RAD and put together the exchange program (even though at that point, he himself still believed humans were inferior in a sense).
Some demons, however, still clutched their traditional views close and were unwilling to let them go. Mephistopheles is one of those demons; he berates Lucifer and his brothers for being fallen angels, and looks down on MC for being a 'lowly' human. There's much more to his opinions than some people think (and nobility played its part in forming them), but behaving as he did, of course, was not quite the right thing to do.
Now, families such as the one Mephistopheles comes from are founded on particular, timeless traditionsâtraditions that Diavolo revolted against, if you will, and began to change through the exchange program by focusing on angel, demon and human interaction. This was hard for even lower-level demons to adjust to, so it must have been much, much harder for someone like Mephistopheles.
And considering his family's status, Mephistopheles has always lived in an atmosphere of political views and is always aware of all the 'national' news and occurences in the Devildom. All this made him patriotic, and that's a reason why he believes that the Devildom is for demons and demons alone, and yet another reason that feeds his scorn for Lucifer and his disdain for the avatar's brothers.
THE FALLEN ANGELS
Lucifer being a fallen angel is not the sole reason as to why Mephistopheles hates him.
Mephistopheles does not hate the brothers simply for their backgrounds or even just for being close to Diavolo, because there's also how he also considers them a threat to his homeland.
He thinks of them as lethal weapons. He blames them for the fear and anxiety hanging over the Devildom. He worries that his homeland would be destroyed due to their presence.
What happened to the brothers was hard, and it wasn't their fault that they had nowhere else to go, but in a way, he's right, because by giving the seven demons a home in the Devildom, Diavolo put the entire land at a risk much too grand, and the lives of his subjects at the mercy of the Celestial Realm.
THE PRINCE
When Diavolo met Lucifer, the celebrated seraph piqued his interest in such away that Lucifer almost became an obsession of his (not in a romantic context, but rather in a more 'exotic and interesting' one). Which is to say, Lucifer was not only a different species, but the most beautiful of that species, and to Diavolo he was a just thatâa rare jewel, a dazzling novelty; with him came new experiences, too (i.e. talking to an angel for the first time ever).
Lucifer was one of the two greatest angels of the Celestial Realm, and Diavolo had lead a sheltered life, but no one had not heard about the prideful angel, and the demon prince was no exception. So, when the two finally met and conversed, Diavolo's interest skyrocketed and he wished for them to be friends.
What truly made friendship with Lucifer a necessity to Diavolo, though, was Lucifer's bold attitude and daring mannerisms. Mephistopheles had always treated Diavolo as a princeâformal and carefulâbut Lucifer treated him more like a friend.
Mephistopheles asks for permission before giving Diavolo his opinions, while Lucifer is not afraid to speak his mindâand that's what Diavolo wants: a fearless friend, not a reluctant advisor. And even when Mephistopheles voices his honest thoughts, Diavolo doesn't like what he hears, because his childhood friend becomes too intense as he clings to his beliefs and opposes affiliation with other species.
In the end, when Lucifer fell from grace, he and Diavolo came to spend a lot of time together, so much so that they became best friends; and as that friendship grew, Mephistopheles suddenly found himself being pushed out of Diavolo's circleâaway from his childhood friend's side and away from his life, slowly but surely. That hurt him a lot and set alight within him hatred towards Lucifer, which is understandable; Lucifer had never meant to inflict pain on Mephistopheles, but he had indeed hurt him by 'taking' his rank and his friendâthat's a fact. And, honestly, he sometimes does tend to needle him, which is really mean, but demons will be demons. I can appreciate the realism, at least.
Diavolo's mistake lies not in wanting to be friends with Lucifer, but in how he treated Mephistopheles as he formed that friendship. He began to spend little time with him and more time with Lucifer. He started to leave him out. He talked to him less and less. Eventually, it got to a point in which they only met up once in a blue moon (mentioned by Lucifer himself), and Mephistopheles either wouldn't even know about the latest occurences, or was the last to learn about them (even worse: sometimes he got to know thanks to humans, the outsiders).
The following statement(s) may be offensive to some, even though they've been shown or at least implied in both games so far; but if everything Mephistopheles was put through wasn't enough, Diavolo doesn't really seem to care much for Mephistopheles's constant efforts to display his skillset, or even respect his feelings whatsoever (i.e. inviting Lucifer and MC to join him and Mephistopheles for a dinner they were supposed to have together, even though he knows how Mephistopheles feels about Lucifer).
When one's childhood friendâwho's most likely their only friend, tooâtreats them so heartlessly, pushes them away for the sake of someone new, and doesn't take their feelings into consideration, how are they not supposed to get severely hurt and upset?
THE EFFECTS
By orchestrating Mephistopheles's replacement, Diavolo delivered a huge blow not only to the latter's honor and pride, but also to his self-confidence.
Even if he usually boasts his bloodline and makes fun of Lucifer, deeming him unworthy, even if many think that he's pompous and suffers of no such thing as a mottled ego, the truth is, he probably does.
Why else would he ask Diavolo if he thinks Lucifer is better than he is? Why else is he always trying to prove himself to Diavolo and pounces at any chance he gets to do so? Why would he be happy once he got leeway to demonstrate his skills to the prince? Why would he force himself to work in journalism when he had no interest in the field if it were not to showcase his worth? It's not just about catering to the prince's wishes.
Of course, there is also the hint of a challenge towards Luciferâthe usual 'I'm better than you and I will prove it'âbut that doesn't really compare to his other feelings.
He's lonely, and he really needs someone to talk toâsomeone who can listen to him and understand him without being insensitive or making a joke out of his thoughts, reactions and feelings. That shows in how, even when he had earlier avoided so much as greeting Solomon on the street, he immediately started pouring his heart out to him when the latter prodded him with an understanding statement.
He may constantly voice his objections and disapproval of Lucifer, but he could not truly object in the tangible sense. All he could do was try once and again to prove himself to Diavolo, in the hopes that the prince would see his talents and skills, perhaps choose him over Lucifer, and give him not his position as right hand man back, but rather his place as the trusted friend he can once again rely on.
THE NICE THINGS
Mephistopheles is genuine, sensitive and emotional. He doesn't beat around the bush. He just expresses how and what he's feelingâwhether emotions born in the heat of the moment or lurking inside for quite some timeâand if he doesn't talk about it, it shows in his silence and on his face. He's like Mammon that way; they both don't know how to lie or hide their true thoughts and feelings (even if they horribly want to). If they're upset, it shows. If they're happy, it shows. If they're hiding something, it shows.
He's innocent and soft-hearted. It's so easy for him to back down and waver if he's met with proper treatment (i.e. compensating him with a bottle of rare Demonus was enough to get his help), a certain reaction (i.e. MC giving him an upset look, so he found himself barely able to refuse dinner with Lucifer himself), or a cute situation (i.e. he was displeased when Raphael made him carry Luke, but all it took for him to melt was one look at Luke's sleeping face).
Despite his prestigious background (and the likely gatherings and meetings that come with it), he seems to be awkward. He would rather not greet someone he's merely acquainted with but doesn't know well even if they glimpsed one another on the street.
There's also how he loves his little brother so much. He always babies him and gets him presents, like sweets and clothes.
And what about how much he cares for Luke? What about how he was the only one who risked his life to save him? Even Luke, who always nitpicks the faults of demons, came to love and respect him for what he did. Doesn't that say something? In addition, he helps Luke whenever he can and gives him lots of encouragement, like when he complimented the quality of his desserts and told him that it always amazed him.
Also, he understands how MC feels about wanting to go back home and confronts Lucifer about it, coming to MC's defense as he did. While he may have warmed up to MC a little, the real reason for his actions lies in how he is willing to put his personal feelings aside to do the right thing and be fair and righteous.
He does things for others and helps themâsaving them from possible injuries in the processâyet genuinely believes that it's something he doesn't need to be thanked for doing because he thinks 'anyone else would have done the same thing,' which is not true at all.
He doesn't let his personal feelings interfere with and stop him from doing the right thing (i.e. he first used to refer to MC as 'the lowly human exchange student' (original game), but when MC was about to tumble and fall, he came to the rescue and said it was not something he should be thanked for; and in the current gameâand despite how he feels about humans and other racesâhe says that MC can go back to the Devildom whenever, so there's no need to worry about leaving. He doesn't adopt a 'I don't want non-demons to be here, so you should go home and never come back' attitude. Also, he played a huge part in encouraging the brothers to rescue Lucifer when he saw that they were plagued by fear and doubts).
He has no issue giving those he doesn't like credit (i.e. when he told the brothers that he had underestimated them).
Despite his viewpoints, Mephistopheles is not malicious. He never actively tries to inflict serious harm (i.e. unlike demons who treated the brothers cruelly and kicked them out of shops, he readily cooperates with his 'enemies' and the 'lowlives' when needed, like when he and MC solved one of the 666 Mysteries of RAD together).
His pet salamander constantly tries to burn the curtains, but he finds him so cute that he just can't stay angry with him.
He pours a whole pot of sugar into his teacup so he can sweeten his tea! Meaning, he has a sweet tooth, and that's so damn adorable.
He's a main maker/designer of the Prince Lucifer and Princess Diavolo stickers!
LAST BUT NOT LEAST, the first thing I want from NTT once they give Mephistopheles his own intimacy bar is to let MC be there for him; to listen to him, talk to him, encourage him to enjoy his own life, away from Diavolo's shadow and wishes; to let him be kinder to himself, give him the chance to mend his confidence, and a wake-up call to realise that neither Diavolo nor anyone else determines his worth; help him out of his fixation on the fallen angel and the prince and the desire to prove himself worthy; see that he understands he's not a genie forced to grant whatever his Lord wishes for, that he can speak his mind without concern; make him realise that he wasn't born to live life for Diavolo, that he's not a puppet crafted to serve the prince. He's so much more than that. He's alive and breathing, and he deserves so much more than the dreary, painful life he's walking the path of.
âââ´ËË
ending note: NTT, please, please, please add him already. Pretty please.

I really like your ramblings corner. They make for an interesting read!
Are you planning on elaborating more on #8? I wonder what Charlie is planning to make both of them go along with her idea. Though judging by prior ramblings Lucifer will not be hard to persuade. Alastor on the other handâŚ
Will she play up the âI am your daughter and I want my dads to get alongâ card?
Hi hun, First thanks for taking the time to read the absolute insanity that is the ramblings. There are plenty more in the works or due to be posted soon. To expand on rambling #8 a bit more. So part of the reason as to why Alastor hates Lucifer so much, is that he sees him as a deadbeat dad that doesn't deserve Charlie, after all, who in their right mind would let someone as sweet and naive as Charlie out in Hell alone? An incompetent moron as far as Alastor is concerned and it doesn't help that he has gotten attached to Charlie, against his wishes. So as far as Alastor is concerned he would make a better dad for Charlie, he has been there for Charlie while Lucifer wasn't and that is points against Lucifer. That being said, Alastor is willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, Lucifer is the King of Hell and Alastor is aware of how much of a task that is. He is an Overlord after all and if he has to deal with mountains of paperwork and dull, tedious meetings then what does Lucifer have to endure? Alastor also doesn't like Lilith either, from what he has been told by Charlie, Lilith left and hasn't bothered to come back. So Alastor is filling in the roles of both mother and father for Charlie. Something that he didn't see himself doing when he decided to help Charlie with the hotel. He had predicted entertainment and some fights, but bonding with someone? That hadn't been on the table. So he had resisted it in the beginning, he had no intention of getting attached, to get attached was to have a weakness. One that he couldn't afford to have. But he is attached and that means that he is invested, that also means that they are under his protection and he will protect them against anything that is a threat to them including deadbeat parents. Lucifer just finds the whole thing arousing and hot. No one has ever stood up to him before and called him out, he is the King of Hell and that comes with certain lines that demons be they sinner or hellborn will not cross and yet? Alastor is pole-vaulting over them as if they are going out of style.
So naturally Lucifer is going to put a ring on Alastor, once Alastor stops trying to strangle him every time he opens his mouth. Hope that helps hun! If not feel free to ask some more questions.

Whumping the deer, then giving him comfort 7+ years later
Been thinking about how Alastor and Vox used to be friends. Thinking about how they were close and how it was possible that Vox was one of the few people Al really cared for. About how Vox could have wanted more, but Alastor didnât. Didnât even pick up on the signs. To him, Vox was just being nice and trying to convince him that they should find a way to blend their tech. Him saying heâll consider it, and Vox taking that as a sign that Alastor wants something more. About Alastor having to fend off a somewhat drunk Vox whoâs trying to force himself on him and panicking. He doesnât understand where this came from. He told Vox he didnât do sex, he seemed to have respected it. Had the TV thought he was just being shy? That his agreement to consider maybe being business partners mean he wanted to sleep with him?
Vox wakes up without any clear memories and brings up joining the team again and Alastor laughs in disbelief because how did he not understand after he fought him off last night. He says no and leaves. Promises that heâll never change, never let people think they can influence him because theyâll assume that if heâs moveable on one thing, heâs movable on all the things. That heâll be careful not to get close to a man again because clearly, they all just wanted one thing. All but him, for some reason.
No, heâs Alastor the Radio Demon. He doesnât do modern things, people, or affection. That will not change.
And then it does. Slowly, like Wisteria up a wall. His fights with Lucifer go from genuine in their anger, then for their amusement, to playful enough that any outsider can see itâs not real. They play music together, at first to compete but then because they enjoy it. They dance, because no one else knows all the steps they know, and take turns trying to take the lead. Itâs such a slow shift thatâs it not until theyâre so deep in that Alastor notices. And even then, itâs only because Charlie is talking about how the sinners who are coming to the Hotel are lucky, they donât have to deal with the fights.
He panics.
How could he not?
The last time he had anything like this, he was nearly assaulted. And whatever is going on between him and the king is so much more important and being him so much more joy than anything with Vox had. He confronts Lucifer about it, only for the King to be just as confused as him because he never thought of what they had as romantic or sexual. He starts panicking as well, thinking thatâs what Alastor wants.
That startles Alastor out of his panic. Because maybe he was just overthinking it. Maybe, as much as he hates to admit it, the thing with Vox is still making him jumpy. Reluctantly the boys sit down and have a conversation about it. They both agree that there isnât anything, romantic or sexual, between them. Theyâre not dating. And well, if other people assumed they were dating, and the jokes Angel Dust made about it werenât jokes but how he saw itâŚ. That was fine. After all, they knew better, and people were so silly it was pointless to understand. It's comfortable between them, to the point where Alastor forgets to do his hair and has its curls out. He worries about how itâll affect his image, but Lucifer doesnât ever comment on it. When others do, the blond looks up and says in a confused voice that he doesnât understand the fuss. Alastor didnât feel like doing his hair that day. They all had days like that, but no one ever commented on how they looked.
Alastor feels himself relax. This isnât some, âIâm trying to be more modernâ thing for his partner, itâs just him. And that helps. What helps even more is that he overhears the other telling some sinners that just because someone changes their mind on something on one thing, it doesnât mean on all the things. Yes, your girlfriend agreed to try X kink, but that doesnât mean you can just assume Y and Z are included in that. Yes, your brother came to be redeemed. That doesnât mean he doesnât love you.
And some tiny part of Alastor, one so small he didnât even realize it was there, heals.
He asks if they can go shopping. He gets new clothes, ones that stick close to his original look, but are still new and âmore fashionableâ. He dyes his hair. He starts watching movies. He gets some looks from the younger members of the crew but from Lucifer, he doesnât get more than a raised eyebrow and a âhow nice of you to give your coat a break.â A smirk and a âoh! Youâve learned that thereâs more than just red!â A deadpan look and a âfine. But only if we just do movies. I still think it rots the brain.â
All the boundaries he established before are respected, both by friends and strangers. Some people try to tease or imply things about him, but itâs not hard to shut down. And it feels good. Good to be able to do whatever he wants, and no that he still has his rep. Heâs still himself. One day, feeling extra confident and proud, he goes all out. Nature hair texture, but a new color. His new clothes, and a poster for a new segment on his radio show. And he gets Charlie to take a picture. Then a video of him using his powers. A picture, this time blurry and distorted of him in his studio, and a video, also distorted with him making a comment about his radio show.
He asks her to post it, just for kicks and giggles.

My convoluted theory about who owns Alastorâs soul:
Ok so this is bit long so buckle-up.
I think Alastor tried to summon Lilith as a mortal to make a deal with her (I donât know why, maybe he thought the cops where on him or maybe he thought his mortality was getting in the way or something), but someone else popped up pretending to be Lilith (either Eve or Roo but Iâm putting my money on Eve), they made a contract and the person signed it with Lilithâs name making the deal a bit of a fraud. Alastor gets some demon powers and the person wrongfully has Alâs soul. Al dies, works for âthemâ for a bit, finds out about âtheirâ plan to cause a war to destroy both heaven and hell, realizes the truth, goes to Lilith and tells her everything. Lilith, âThe Chain-breakerâ isnât ok with this and teams up with Al to deal with âThemâ. She technically never gave Alastor her part of the deal so she basically goes: Iâll give you more power and your soul, in exchange: Help me fight Eve and if something goes wrong protect my daughter.â They confront and fight Eve, Shit goes sideways, Lilith is either trapped or dead and Alastor barely escapes alive using the 7 years to recuperate. When heâs healed up, he goes to protect Charlie.
There are probably some errors with this, but so far it seems pretty good.
Fun little add-ons to the theory:
Eve (Got tired of typing âThemâ) might still have Alastorâs soul but I kinda doubt it, cause she would have destroyed it by now. More likely Alastor got his soul back and the powers from Lilith but he was so beat up when he left that Eve just assumed he died.
Maybe the reason Alastor hates Lucifer is because he assumed the worst by how Lilith talked about him and why she didnât want to include him in the mess. Alastor hearing a woman say: âNo! We cannot tell him, heâll react horribly to it.â Wonât assume itâs because the husband is a softie whoâs already depressed.
Eve probably doesnât pay attention to hellâs going ons and is still hidden somewhere. BUT if someone goes around looking for her, the reason for Alâs disappearance sheâll realize he ainât dead. Might be the reason he doesnât want people to be nosy.
Probably kept his promise with protecting Charlie because he liked Lilith (Once on his good side people can ask a lot from him *cough* Mimzy *cough*) and because the hotel could be a good place to hide from Eve.
SoâŚWhat do you guys think?

Things I just need to know/see in S2 of Hazbin Hotel:
Why Alastor was gone for so long, where he was and what he was doing. Also if this has something to do with Charlie not getting news from Lilith for seven years (same amount of time Alastor was missing) and why he came back after all that time
Who has Alastor on a leash (must be someone really powerful. Lilith maybe?) and why he made a deal with them
Why Adam was an angel if he was a mortal soul before (he even calls Alastor a mortal soul like he himself wasnât one in the first place, like what???)
If Sir Pentious managed to get to Heaven after being âforeverâ killed by Adam what happened to the other souls who were killed in Hell before? Died died? Where did they go? Did they just stop existing? For a sinner to get to Heaven they need to be killed in a definitive way like Sir Pentious âwasâ?
How Husk was like when he was an Overlord and what happened exactly that made him make a deal with Alastor and how exactly this saved his powers
What it takes for a demon to be considered an Overlord and how they stop being one.
Why Lilith left Charlie and Lucifer and why she went to Heaven. Also why she separated Charlie from Lucifer (it seems so in the flashback) and why Lucifer never really showed up after that
What was Lilithâs deal with Lute
More insight on Alastor, Mimzy, Husk and Niffty. What exactly is their relationship, how many of them Alastor knew in life (just Mimzy?) and how Mimzy knows the other two
More insight on everyoneâs life before coming to hell including how they died and why they went to hell (actually I donât know why I typed in âmoreâ when we clearly have none lol)
Why Alastor is more powerful than the usual mortal souls and if thatâs because he gained more power killing other Overlords (if not, why he did it)
What favor Alastor will ask from Charlie and what his intentions are exactly
Are all exorcists women? If yes, why? If not why does it seem to be the case?
More insight on Rosie and Carmilla (I just really liked these two) and Zestial too. Heâs mysterious
More insight on the Vees (even though I really hate Valentino but Vox and Velvette are iconic)
Why Vox invited Alastor to be part of the Vees. His hate comes from that or is there something more?
Edit:
And where is Eve???
Yeah, this is all I can think of now (itâs a lot, I know lol). If you have any theories Iâd love to hear
#yes I know the majority is about Alastor lol#itâs just cause heâs pretty much the most mysterious one in the entire show#hazbin hotel#hazbin spoilers#hazbin alastor#hazbin lucifer#hazbin charlie#hazbin husk#hazbin hotel fandom#hazbin angel dust#hazbin vox

¤ The exterminations were something that Heaven very much kept buried under the rug, for the exact reason of knowing they'd be rather difficult to explain and mixed on how they would be received. On one hand, Heaven exterminating evil isn't very far off from what they've always been expected to do, but on the other handâangels are meant to be above the things they accuse sinners of. Murder, wrath, prejudice, discrimination, bias, judgmental behavior, all of which one can loop right into saying the exterminations actually are.
ă
¤ To allow them to happen, Michael was very aware that falls under the category of being wrong. Allowing them to happen in the first place had been a moment of doubt and weakness. The more humans fell to sin, the more of them that got sentenced to Hell, the larger number of them that there wasâit does look bad. It looks dangerous, it looks like Lucifer is creating an army, it looks like just enough swung in the wrong direction could lead to a repeat of the War in Heaven with a much more dangerous number of deaths.
ă
¤ And as someone who had already lived through that once, who had his entire world torn down around him in a single day, the fear of that repeating with the loss of even more siblings was all that was needed to convince him of the need of them. To make the hard choice that no one else would want to, to agree to starting another fight with Hell. Michael's entire existence has revolved around needing to protect Heaven and protect what remained of his family.
ă
¤ Allowing Adam to handle them took a large weight off of Michael's shoulders, once less army he had to handle and once less problem he needed to settle his head around. He handles so much up there already, if Adam was willing to bare the weight of something that large he didn't feel the need to deal with it himself.
ă
¤ Then he had to go and die.
ă
¤ What Adam did broke the contract with Hell in two places.
Holding more than one extermination a year when Lucifer agreed to one.
Going after Charlie who was a Hellborn.
ă
¤ With this break in the contact, effectively ending the exterminations in the legal aspect, they can't technically continue. Though the last one is a bit of a gray area depending on if the exterminations specifically sate murdering a Hellborn or just attacking them, the first break did end it entirely. Which means, in order to continue them, Michael would need to renegotiate with Lucifer.
ă
¤ Something he isn't entirely keen on doing.
ă
¤ When the matter of the exterminations landed back on his desk, with the problem of the contract being broken thanks to Adam and Lute, his first instinct was just to ignore it entirely. Michael does not regret signing the exterminations, he regrets how out of hand they got. The exterminations were never supposed to become a competition between the exterminators, seeing who could get the highest number that year. They were never meant to turn the angels bloodthirsty and wrathful, hateful in the clear way that they had turned out. They were just supposed to be a way to quell the number of sinners to keep Heaven safe. To protect those who live in the clouds from those in the darkest pits for the sins they committed.
ă
¤ He can find many reasons to justify what he signed off on, he can't find as many to justify allowing them to spiral as they did. Just as he is nearly certain that Lucifer would not want to resign the exterminations.
ă
¤ Truthfully, he knows as well, Hell has never actually caused problems for Heaven.
ă
¤ Which was why, to avoid having to renegotiate the exterminations, Michael included in his journey to Hell on top of finding the answers to his questions, learning about the sinners. About Charlie's hotel, about if what she dreams of is possible. About if there is more to the sinners that what condemned them to Hell. Though a blanket excuse for his reason to be down there, it is also a truthful one. It allows him to a lot at once, and to not worry about turning the timer on the Heaven Embassy back on.
ă
¤ Since without the contract the next time that clock spins on, it'll declare a full out war, not just a massacre.

First part:
Spoilers at the bottom, if you don't want to read it, don't read it!
maybe it's some of Rosie's "Big Plan", prepared for yearsâŚ), then we have the plot of his death, that he died literally the next day after he made a deal with Rosie, because he was mistaken for a deer by a hunter, Rosie starts laughing, Alastor laughs too, but it's obviously a laugh of being annoyed, then Alastor tells her that she can toy with him however she wants, that he's been running around hell on some pointless crusade for years, playing nice in that stupid hotel because she promised him ,,power" (sorry, but I have to mention that I hate how in English one word can have several different meaningsâŚ, my native language is more precise, so it annoys me when I interpret a word in English in some way [especially when it is taken out of context], and then it turns out that the person meant the other meaning of the word⌠how annoying is thatâŚ, the same with the word ,,power", maybe it's mean that he wants to become some kind of ruler of Hell or that he just wants power, but judging by the plot of making a deal with Rosie, Alastor just wants power, he wants to be at least one of the most powerful demons in hell so he can continue his killing game) and instead he is now weakened and then Alastor and Rosie's song starts, my interpretation of the song is the same as in post 1 so I won't repeat.
So to put it:
Alastor wants the power to continue playing the killing game.
Alastor hates being weak.
Alastor is fed up with the hotel.
Alastor is injured and weakened.
It was Rosie who commissioned him to take care of the hotel and therefore Charlie, because she has some plan regarding Charlie.
The basic obvious now is that Rosie has Alastor's soul.
Vaggie and Charlie still don't communicate properly.
Charlie really liked Niffty :)
And Lucifer is in the hotel, but he clearly doesn't fit in with the group (he treats Angel like he doesn't matter, doesn't remember his name).
And most importantly 10, all this clearly takes place a few days after the fight, so I don't know how someone who released the leak of Alastor and Rosie's song wrote that it was from episode 4⌠it doesn't, because these are events right after the fight⌠so in my opinion, all these leaks are from only episode 1 or maybe episode 1 and a bit of episode 2, but nothing more⌠because the rest are probably not even in production yetâŚ, they do this series chronologically, considering the arguments I mentioned above and the fact that all these leaks, including those from Sir Pent and Lute, are clearly set to just after the fight, where Lute decides to take revenge (I also saw post that supposedly Lute will kill Lucifer, but I don't know how much truth there is in it, because clearly the series is created from beginning to end, so if it is, someone would have to read the script to know about itâŚ), so in my opinion we got spoilers ONLY from the beginning of the series, and the entire remaining 7 episodes (or 6 and a little, but probably all 7), is a mystery to us and there are many things we don't know, we also don't know what it will all lead to, what Rosie's plan(?), how Lute will take revenge(?), whether she will really manage to kill Lucifer(?), or the lack of communication between Charlie and Vaggie will it finally have any effect or will it just continue in silence(?) (Charlie wants to do something, Vaggie says no, don't do it because âŚhe's giving argumentsâŚ, Charlie ignores Vaggie and her arguments and she runs away to do whatever she wants, leaving Vaggie who sighs with helplessness, ahâŚ, it's a beautiful relationship, isn't it?, I'm sorry, but I have to, because I don't understand how you can see this relationship as healthyâŚ, sweet- yes, but healthyâŚ- never), plus there is supposed to be Baxter in the second season and the von Eldrichts (I think), clearly these are leaks from only the first, max 2 episodes, nothing else.
Moving on to the sketches, I saw the sketches:
Human Sir Pent, whose name is ,,HH02_CH-PENTIOUSHUMAN".
Human Alastor, who has the same name as human Sir Pent, but has Alastorhuman in the name.
Two sketches of regular Alastor, one without a shirt with a wound titled ,,HH02_CH-ALASTORSHIRTOPEN" and the other of Alastor in cannibal city clothes ,,HH02_CH-ALASTOROUTFITCANNIBAL" (which is pink and has pink shoes :D ).
And one sketch of Alastor caught by Vox, tied to a chair, with a mask on his face that shows a dissatisfied face (I am as sure as anything that the hotel team will come to Alastor's rescue, I just wonder how he will react when they save him, when will they help him?)
So HH02 is simply Hazbin Hotel season 2, while the "CH" at the beginning may mean ,chapter"..., maybe⌠I don't know, but clearly it is an ordinary designation that appears in sketches, and then there is the name of what applies to sketch. Plus with sketches of Alastor in his regular form, we also have shadow sketches of Charlie, which we don't have for the human versions, probably because Charlie is the base for the other characters' height.
And finally, in the leak showing Sir Pent in heaven, there are drawings on the wall next to his bed, in the very center Cherri (his love), on the left Vaggie, Husker and Alastor (as a deer :D ), and on the right Charlie, Niffty and Angel.
That's it, have a nice day, evening or night :)

Hazbin Hotel Theory's
I am pretty sure some people had the same thoughts before me but i still want to write about it.
1.
The Angel was probably killed by the power of love / divine power
I think if you fight for someone else and not for your own gain, you unleash good power which is the only thing able to hurt an Angel.
Season 1 will propably end with the Main cast all protecting each other from the angel attack ( they start the extermination at the hotel ) and figuring this out mid fight. Scaring the angels into quitting the attack and Proving all sinners that the hotel works.
Season 2 could than start with everyone wanting to stay at the hotel and some angels hating the idea of sinners going into heaven, planning one big attack. Giving more Focus to an all out battle than we have left. Season one is only 8 episodes so i think this war will only be a set up for next season. With the first beeing more about the forming bonds and proving the dream.
2.
Alastor made a deal with lilith
They were both gone for 7 years.
Also Alastor doesnt seem interested in the cause itself, nor does he Sabotage it. He doesnt try to make a deal with Charlie and is a good supporting guy to the group ( does what he is been told ).
But he isnt a good guy and he hints that he gets something out of this.
Since he holds his end of the deal, it could be that he is currently fullfilling a deal, which includes protecting charlie and supporting her.
Lucifer doesnt know him, so it could only be lilith who made the deal with him.
The 7 years was alastor helping lilith with things so he could gain her trust ( showing that he does keep his end of the deal and is responsible with the task given - no creep towards charlie, etc ) and that the souls under his care are not completly abused like angel = lilith does care about her people. And that he is a charming, calm fellow who can be trusted not to abuse his power. ( the overlord takeout an exclusion, maybe we get more Infos later / there are still old overlords around who like him and he didnt Kill husk to take his Position )
The deal would not be her soul but the souls she has under her. Or otherwise gaining more power through her.
This makes him not a nice guy but not bad either since his goal would only be power for power sake ( he realised he cant keep climbing the letter so the royals where the best think to fix the Problem).
He just seems like a guy who is civil and respectful towards Others but needs confidents in his own powers and feels he needs to improve more. ( those guys who always desire more power for impruvement sake only ). Not to defeat Others but for his own well beeing / calm of mind. To get attention.
So this can be an ending where the power increase would not change his character Behavior. Only explain why he did what he did. Him getting stronger by helping charlie is not really a bad ending, it keeps him selfish enough to never be redeemed but nice enough to still be a Main character.
After all i dont want him to backstab the others or turn into the villain. But i also cant see him not beeing up to anything, for that there are to many hints.
Doing something good for his own sake only but having fun while doing it is a nice compromise between good and evil.
Also lilith would prove that she cares about charlie.

Ta da! Finally the RAM Wishlist, not including plots already in motion! Very much a self-indulgent little list, and some of them may involve more than one player or a multimuse willing to take on more than one. I am also willing to throw my Vox or Velvette into the mix as well.
Pocket Universe Ideas:
Vox:
âThe directives start to falter. No regaining of memory exactly, but things start slipping through the cracks.
âGive me a circumstance where Alastor has to break his promise and redo the Ordeal. I want him to struggle with that and treat Vox very differently as a result.
âAlastor goes too far and actually hurts him. Almost a one-sided fight.
âGive me any opportunities for Alastor to break his own directives, especially about Voxâs love for him. I want to see just how much it changes the dynamic between them, if at all.
âVox breaks down and Alastor has to help him but quickly starts ignoring him.
âAlastor breaks down and Vox has to deal with it somehow. Could be extermination related.
âObsessed with âI thought you were deadâ plots. Please give it to me one way or another. Could get super twisted considering how possessive and protective Alastor is here.
Niffty:
âSoft interactions with a whole lot of implications.
âA rare situation where Alastor actually loses his patience with her. Would have to be plotted heavily in advance.
âHe stops her from doing something and she snaps at him, showing bits of the person she used to be.
âOr the above but she resorts to childlike behavior. âI hate you!â
Charlie:
âA conversation where Alastor thoroughly convinces her that the Vees are to blame for Vox.
âThe reverse, where she leaves the conversation positive that Alastor is lying.
âA confrontation when she discovers the truth.
âWhat if he actually convinced her it was for the best? Iâm not sure how that would happen, but if someoneâs interested we could try to plot it out.
Husk:
âHusk finally confronts Alastor on the state of Vox and Niffty, whether out of genuine concern or righteous anger. This could end very badly, be warned.
The Vees (Valentino and/or Velvette):
âThey have to meet up for one reason or another in public and play nice. Can involve Vox or Charlie or someone they donât want to upset.
âOr, you know, they could fight.
Any Character:
âSomeone ask him if heâs dating Vox. Thatâs funny to me and only me. Could even be Vox if combined with other ideas.
âSomeone gets ahold of one of the broadcasts and broadcasts it again. Will most likely end badly.
Multiverse Ideas:
RAMâd Vox:
âI really want one of the Voxs to get clingy and start demanding that Alastor stop RAMâing other Voxs because he doesnât want to share Alastor any more than he already has to.
âOne of the Voxs whoâs meant to go back to their Alastor freaks out and demands to stay with RAM instead.
Non-RAMâd Vox:
âI really want a Vox to try and figure out what Alastor does by agreeing to see the Ordeal firsthand. Not being RAMâd but watching him do it to someone else. There are so many possibilities here.
Alastor:
âI want RAM Alastor to hand over a RAMâd Vox to his âkeeperâ and the Alastor actually appreciate it for a while. Until, you know, it becomes an issue later. Would involve a couple of people, and quite a bit of three way plotting. That or a multimuse or my own Vox maybe. It would probably be a long thread too.
Niffty:
âA canon Niffty figuring out the differences between her and RAM Niffty could be super interesting. Her meeting RAM Alastor could make her question her own Alastor in the process (which could be my main verse or something).
Charlie:
âAsk him why he has more than one Vox. Someone has to deal with all the extra TVs around here.
Angel:
âAn Angel outside of the RAM sphere isnât necessarily bound by NDA. Start questioning Alastor and everyone around him.
Valentino:
âWar of the gaslighters, especially if Alastor can get under Valentinoâs skin because Vox loved him first and he actually âwonâ.
Lucifer:
âWhat if I just RAMâd the King of Hell? How disastrous would that be?
Any RAMâd Character:
âSomething goes horribly wrong during the Ordeal. I donât know what but either your character dies or gets wrecked beyond all reason.
âSomething goes wrong during the Ordeal in the opposite direction. It absolutely fails and your character deals with the consequences in a completely different way.
Any non-RAMâd character:
âTry to steal his Voxs. Obviously theyâd have to agree to it too, but you know.
âTry to kill Alastor and fail. As of now, the only one who Iâll allow to kill him is Vito, but I want a fight that ends badly for everyone involved.

Cough, itâs me again
Our dear demon bastard stated what type of women he likes. What do you think would be the type of woman (and maybe even man) he dislikes the most?
He is living in my head rent free
This one is much easier and less complex to answer đ (I promise your other ask is in the works đ its just taking its dear sweet time to manifest in coherent thoughts)
My picture of a person Mephisto absolutely would not like conveniently exists in canon: Michael Gedouin. And no, I'm not just saying that because I hate the bastard.
Gedouin is everything Samael loves to despise. He's clingy, desperate, arrogant, short sighted, pushy and rude. He's got delusions of grandeur and crippling insecurities. Mephisto would eat him alive out of spite - possibly literally if he weren't so fat as to give the malnourished demon clogged arteries for the effort.
I personally think that when Samael expressly dislikes or loathes someone he goes out of his way to be an absolute menace to them. Because he's petty like that.
Canon kind of backs me up on this, and offers a compelling series of reasons why. Everyone he dislikes in canon, he dislikes because they're too intrusive or rude (Lewin) too cocksure and ignorant (Arthur) too needy and pushy (Yukio to a degree) or too self absorbed and narcissistic (Lucifer).
What do all these people have in common?
They're all liars.
They all lie to themselves and to others constantly. Lewin lies to others because he has to in order to appear normal; Arthur lies to himself so that he feels normal-ish despite blatantly knowing he isn't; Yukio lies to both himself and others for the sake of status quo and because he has crippling insecurities he would rather pretend didn't exist; and Lucifer lies to everyone including himself because his mind and ego can't handle the truth or reality, so he twists the narratives to suit himself, and to hell with the rest.
Samael, Father of Lies, absolutely despises liars.
He despises liars, and he despises those who turn away from a hard truth they'd rather not face. In his mind, these people are cowards, possibly, and I don't imagine he is fond of cowardice either. Part of why he is so hard on Yukio is because Yukio refuses to see or acknowledge the present, focusing -- and hiding in - the past or sometimes the future. He is similarly stern with Rin at times because Rin was running away from the past, but with no sense of direction for the present or future; he was lost, though, not deliberately hiding. Yukio hides; he uses the past or possible future to justify the present while acknowledging neither, and that makes him both annoying and dangerous; vascillating between the past and future without thinking about the present is how you end up circling a drain with no outlet. Yes, Yukio is depressed and stressed and has some serious trauma issues, and that is why he acts that way - no doubt Mephisto is well aware of that - but he also was stubborn and foolish and refused to accept help in any way except very marginally for his way, and his way was not what he needed. And I just don't see Samael having the greatest patience with people who wallow in their misery and refuse to help themselves, or if they are, like with Yukio, then they won't listen to reason if they're wrong.
Samael does not like people who deny the truth. Who insist they know better than he does, who won't budge an inch no matter what he tells them. He has not the patience, and after a lifetime of dealing with Mr. Narc Himself I honestly can't blame him for that.
At the same time, he finds great delight in tormenting people he despises. He ribs Arthur all the time and makes a mockery of him, he belittles Yukio and infantalizes him in some respects; He openly says he doesn't like Lewin and finds him creepy due to his persistent, invasive intrigue regarding himself, and doesn't bother him much I feel because anything Samael did do to bugger him would only entice him more; and he can do nary a thing about Lucifer, except quietly chide him in the back of his mind and hope his brother comes to his senses eventually. A hope I think he has lost all faith in.
Now, I feel a need to bring up an odd little relationship regarding these things - Amaimon.
Does Samael dislike Amaimon? Yes, i think he does, in a way. But he dislikes him because he is rude and lazy and doesn't like to think for himself or make hard decisions and acts like a total child about it when he does. Amaimon doesn't pick sides because he doesn't want to think about the ramifications of either choice, so he just doesn't make one. (until he has to). Amaimon doesn't like actual hard work, so to entice him to do anything one must invite him to "play" or offer a reward - and sometimes punishment - worth motivating him. Amaimon does not give a single flying fuck if anyone really likes him or not, which I do think Samael finds admirable about him actually, but it comes with the caveat that he can't trust Amaimon to blend in very well or follow a set of rules he sees no point in following, like "Dont punch people, because they die, and we dont want them to die". To explain anything to Amaimon, one must explain it in his terms, on his terms, which makes him difficult and annoying to deal with at times because if there's no relevance to himself going on, he has no reason to care. He is the quintessential "not my problem" guy.
(I confess after writing this I am a lot like him in many regards)
Samael doesn't appreciate people who make his life more difficult, I would say for the above case. He prefers things to go a certain way, and people who propose to mess this up by being stubborn and difficult to control are thorns in his side; but he is willing to put up with them for the greater good of his work.
Rin is another thorny case for Samael at times, though its more that Rin has the utmost potential to be a problem than that he presently is one; Rin is strong willed, though not exactly stubborn - he can be plied fairly easily with the right kind of persuasion, and as recent chapters have so kindly delivered onto us, Rin is the faith-having sort of person; he believes in Mephisto's power and abilities, and has faith that Samael would be able to put the world to rights if Satan wasn't being such a stubborn Git about it all.
That being said, I could easily see the tables turning if Rin decided to get in Samael's way and provoke him with his stubbornness, especially since Rin isn't always keen on listening to reason, so I hesitate to say Samael likes or dislikes Rin outright - I think he's an edge case and that Samael cautiously likes him, but would absolutely kill or maim him if it came to that. And I personally am of the mind that Rin is very much aware of this.
So, to recap -
Samael does not like Liars, Truth Deniers, and People Who Make Life Harder.
I also am of the mind he has a particularly vengeful distaste for thieves, based on the possessiveness of his personality and penchant for collecting things, but only insofar as they have stolen from him. After all I doubt he got all of his own belongings by moral means, given Loki and Dionysus' penchant for being thieves themselves. So steal away - just don't steal things from the Devil, maybe. Unless he wants you to. (Ahem, Impure King arc). But even then, probably not the wisest idea.

Since camp nano is done(goal of 50k reached) I have a chance to work on some Buddie fics as well as my Lucifer/Buck/Eddie WIP.
Heavy is the Ocean story for the adopted cover by @ronordmann
Summary: At one time Buck loved the ocean, then it tried to take those he loves most from him. Now he grapples with a love/hate relationship with it and wants nothing more than to overcome the fear that keeps him from enjoying the water. Eddie vows to be there every step of Buck's journey.Â
As the World Falls Down another fic for an adopted cover art by the talented @ronordmann
Summary: Desperate to save Daniel Margaret and Philip make a deal with the Fae they will give up their son Evan for the magic to save their wanted son and on his twenty-first birthday Evan will be brought to the Fae court where he will marry Prince Eddie of the Diaz clan.Â
Unnamed Buddie fic, where Eddie has a stalker who will do anything to get Eddie to themselves, including getting rid of the two most important people in his life, Buck and Christopher.
A Tommy x Buck that endgame pairings are Buddie and Tommy x Ravi.
Pining Eddie and Pining Ravi. Including Bonnie Bennett from TVD as Ravi best friend.
Teaser: Watching Ravi face plant into the couch and try to suffocate himself with his pillow had Bonnie popping the spoon of chocolate ice cream she just fed herself and watched her over dramatic friend.
âSo I assume that something big happened today. Ooh did Buddie finally get together.â As Ravi muffled his answer into the pillow. âThis time without the pillow.âÂ
Rolling over Ravi looked at Bonnie, a mournful look on his face. âI met Tommy today.â
âAnd that is a bad thing?â Bonnie asked with a raised eyebrow.
âHe is one of the hottest guys I have ever laid eyes on.â
âOkay so not seeing the problem.âÂ
âI wanted him to take me apart, make me a begging mess and then do it all over again. I can't have those kinds of thoughts! He is Buck's boyfriend!âÂ
âWow, that suck's for you. A total hot top and he is taken.â Bonnie patted Ravi on the head.
âYour compassion is duly noted and not welcomed."
Second teaser: âI asked Marisol to move in with us.â As Christopher stared at him, Eddie grew nervous and wiped his sweat palms on his jeans as he waited for his son to say something. âI know I should have discussed this with you first.â
âDad, is this because Buck is dating Tommy?
Eddie reared back, âWhat? No! Buck being bi and having a boyfriend has nothing to do with this.â
The judgemental eyebrow Christopher gave him was his Abuela's. âThat's not what I asked. I know you don't have an issue with our Buck being bi. You are his biggest supporter. Dad, you're jealous because it is Tommy dating Buck and not you. You dated Ana for longer than you have Marisol and never gave her a key. Marisol still doesn't have a key and suddenly you are asking her to move in only a few weeks after learning Buck is bi and dating Tommy.â
Eddie could only stare slack jawed at his son.
Reaching out Christopher took one of his dad's hands in his own, âDad, I am not the only one in this house who has issues in feeling abandoned or why I am not enough for someone to stay. Mom didn't just leave me, she left you too. Marisol is nice but is she the one you want to open your heart to? To live here with us? Because if it is then I support you but maybe you should start by giving her a key and hold off on moving in until you guys have dated for a year.â
âWhat about you?â Eddie asked in a soft voice.
âWe both know who I want here but I support you in whatever you choose as long as it doesn't give you a panic attack.â
Eddie couldn't stop the bark of laughter that escaped him. âI am so lucky to have you as a kid.â
The cheeky look Christopher tossed at him was all him, âYeah, you are.â
Third teaser: âWould you ever consider getting married again?â Buck's voice is soft as if he doesn't want to break the spell woven around them.
âThere is only one person I would consider marrying.â Eddie placed his hand on top of Buck's and the sheer hope in those blue eyes had Eddie licking his suddenly dry lips, âand I am looking at him right now.â

Guys I love my Pug so much. If I had to go to Devildom I'm not going without him (He's a senior citizen with separation anxiety) but now I'm thinking of scenarios with my beloved Pug! (Ëľ ͥ° ÍĘ ÍĄÂ°Ëľ)
Just imagine coming to Devildom and as Diavolo's doing his spiel this distinguished gentleman waddles his old man legs over to be near the MC. Standing by them and not really aware they're surrounded by demons but just wanting to be with them.
Lucifer has to put a dog bed in MC's room and when MC sleeps they just hear his loud ass old man snoring. Every day MC Goes to RAD my Pug just watches them go sadly and sleeps or sits by the door until MC returns. A sad old man who misses his person.
The Brothers have to deal with his bad dog breath and old joints. Hear him grumble and grouse when they have to clean his ears and wrinkles. He won't bite them but his loud grumbles are enough to get the message only MC can touch him. Watch as MC has to pick him up and carry him upstairs/downstairs or watch his slow butt try to follow MC down the hallway or wherever he thinks they might be in the House of Lamentation. He doesn't really know what MC's doing he just wants to be near them or be included in the conversation around the brothers. Hes very lonely being near someone makes him happy. Heck even if the brothers try to comfort him they know as soon as MC walks in he's following them instead.
Oh Lucifer would hate his shedding he's like a cotton ball of fluff and wrinkles and if he ever holds him that black outfit is gonna get ruined. Lucifer would be so annoyed too as a senior Pug he has a special diet and has supplements for his bones and he has to make sure his brothers aren't feeding him anything to upset his digestion. He also likes to sun bathe so now MC and Lucifer try to talk to Diavolo about putting some lamps up so he can sunbathe (Which we ALL know Diavolo would. He probably would spoil my Pug more than he already is!)
The Brothers will walk in to see this everyday laying anywhere and napping. He's potty trained and a good Pug he just isn't scared of the vacuum and stubborn as ever. Even if you put the vacuum near him he just sits there and looks at you unimpressed. A mad lad!
Mannnnn and then there's his walks. My Pug is such a senior citizen he loves his routine walks and will do them slowly enjoying the scenery. A walk around the block turns to an hour in a half if walking at his pace. He doesn't like other dogs and gets uncomfortable with them so the brothers also have to make sure hes okay because he's shy and antisocial. He only loves MC and people/demons/angels.
Just imagining him waddling his way through the castle also melts my heart. My Pug staying with Diavolo for a time fell asleep in Diavolos office and when Diavolo left he can hear his little nails scrape on the floor as he goes searching for him. He needs a person after all with him when he wakes up.
Barbatos will probably hate him tho. My Pug sheds everywhere AND he doesn't care about rats or other animals (he hates cats tho cause cats make him jealous) and will just sleep as Barbatos fights a rat/mouse by himself.
Solomon will probably try to test my Pug and if he does I'll fight him because my Pug isn't bright! What he lacks in intelligence he makes up for in ingenuity!
Simeon and Luke will probably like him until Simeon realizes his gloves are covered in Pug hair too.
And the brothers who have to live with him they'll probably be used to the 13 year old Pug wandering the house.
Lucifer probably has to put a bed in his study since my Pug will probably lay in his room if he can't find MC.
Mammon probably carries him everywhere and buys him everything then gets offended when the Pug ignores him afterwards for MC. He thought what they had was special!!
Leviathan probably brings his Akuzon packages to him because My Pug likes unboxing and they can unbox and look at it together. He really loves it.
Satan can pet him as they read feeling the softness as he snores is nice. As well having Lucifer carry him is icing on the cake.
Asmodeus probably gets him new shirts and sweaters everyday and makes MC put them on him since he doesn't want Pug hair on him
Beel probably lifts my Pug like he doesn't weigh anything carrying and eating as my Pug sits by his legs needy (Mf would definitely feed the dog even after explaining his strict diet so everyone has to watch them)
Belphegor and the Pug probably sleep together their snores causing an earthquake as they both get it in for the rest of the cast.
Oh it would be so cute! He'd bask in the attention lol!! (Also this is entirely self indulgent I just wanted to make a post about how much I adore my Pug (Ëľ ͥ° ÍĘ ÍĄÂ°Ëľ) )

entry #11
going through an end of a friendship really feels like a breakup. i feel like i got out of a really toxic situation and can take a breatherâ like i was locked into something and now i can see the relationship with new eyes. the thing is, this girl lied to me so much, i wonder what else she told me was a lie. i remember when we were hanging out in the living room, our friend said that K (this girl) likes to lie for fun to mess with people. she told us her real name was something else and that she didnât like it so she changed it to her actual name or something, then she texted our friend and said it was a lie and laughed âcause we fell for it. oddâŚ
i also remember when we first became friends. it happened so quickly. in a matter of minutes. i was vulnerable because i was dealing with a guy (Lucifer) who didnât like me and tried to get in the way of me and this guy i liked, and she told me that she went through the same thing with another guy in the friend group and she said that he led her on and all this stuff. she also said that the girl he was with purposely pursued him because she knew that K was talking to him. fast forward to this semester, she said that was all in her head and it didnât really happen. what actually happened was that she talked to him and he just was interested in another girl. i just find this incredibly weird because she made a big deal about how she went through the same thing as i was going through with the guy that i liked. she also made an even bigger deal about the girl and made her out to be a bitch but she never really said what made her a bitch. she just said that the girl complimented her outfits a couple times and K thought it was fake.
i always thought she was being unnecessarily harsh on the girl because she never gave a good reason as to why she thought she was so awfulâŚor at least i donât remember the reasons. she gets mad at her when she says hi to her and genuinely tries to be nice to her and i donât know⌠it seemed strange. she actively like HATES this girl. she hates her more than the guy that she was talking to. she always called her ânot a girlâs girl,â and that she acts differently around guys and doesnât have any female friends. as far as i know, i have no idea whatâs going on there, but i know K has a tendency to exaggerate the truth or to just flat out lie⌠no wonder she was such good friends with LuciferâŚ
sheâs also really good at it. she lies like her life depends on it and sheâs convincing. sheâs very good at being fake because iâve seen her interact with people she doesnât like⌠and i donât like that. i donât like that at all⌠i donât like it when people lie or act fake and then turn their back and talk about them. itâs just really gross. itâs really catty and mean too.
and the worst part of it all is that sheâs roped my roommate into lying to me as well. ever since K has entered the picture, sheâs been lying to me and going along with things that she does. for months they have been lying to our friend B about liking each other. K had Lâs phone and read Bâs text confessing his feelings for her and then K confessed her feelings for L right after. after this, B wanted to talk about it and asked L if there was someone else and she said no. they both avoided telling B the truth for months. i told them back in january to tell him the truth because if he finds out that you guys have been lying to him, thatâs gonna make it worse because they included everyone in on the secret, except him. they made so many people lie for them to protect them for so long. they even got closer to him because they wanted to get a âreadâ on him before telling him the truth. never told him anything. they got this boy to open up to him about his personal issues and then continued to lie to his face and kept this secret from him. they pried for his personal business and stalked his spotify playlists to see how he was feeling instead of being honest with him. they continue to do this. heâs heartbroken because he found out through another friend that they are dating and that friend showed them text messages that he sent when he was drunk about L, and people have been asking B to open up to them about L and then running and telling L everything. spreading his business. and i was telling my therapist all of this stuff and it is so messed up. this boy doesnât ever open up to people and when he finally does, he trusts you, you say you wonât tell anyone and then you go and tell the person he would never want knowing about this? thatâs awful. thatâs terrible. if he ever finds out the truth, heâs gonna develop so many trust issues. this is why lying is so shitty.
i know they donât care but i know exactly how he feels being lied to like that. i felt that way when K lied to me about text messages and then lied to me about dating L. apparently, theyâve been dating on and off, behind his back. itâs one thing if K didnât know, but she does and she continues to lie to him and also claims to be close to him. closer to him than anyone else in the friend group apparently. but she lies right to his face. itâs horrible. thatâs betrayal. i thought i had good friends until i went back to therapy and realized iâve been gaslit by this whole group because they are too cowardly to tell the truth to an innocent man. they talk so much about him and go through so many hurdles and beat around so many bushes to know whatâs going on with him instead of being honest with him and ASKING HIM THEMSELVES. if you claim to be so close to someone and you canât tell them the truth or check up on them when they are struggling, you ARE NOT their friend. YOU ARE A LIAR. and YOU ARE SELFISH. you are a child. a cowardly child. youâre not lying to protect that person if youâre telling everyone and their mother about their business. youâre lying to protect YOURSELF. you are KNOWINGLY the cause of his pain and youâve been hiding it for so long, itâs so shitty and B doesnât deserve it. you had ample opportunity to tell him and you didnât. you kept lying to him and everyone. everyone knows HIS business and you guys donât have the decency to tell him what YOUâVE been hiding? youâre fucked up. you can lie to yourself all you want to. the truth still exists. you can try to bury it as much as possible but the truth is, youâre a liar and i will never trust you again. i hope he never trusts you either. you wanna say iâm untrustworthy? look in the mirror.

Val really is not written like a real person. He is written like every abusive villain Viv has done already. Crim, Stella, Mammon, Adam, Val. All of them are extremely similar to each other. All of them are incompetent, dumb and disjointed because Viv tries to make them both funny and yet threatening and she fails at both.
My big issue with Val is not that Viv tries to make him funny too. That can WORK! Hisoka from Hunter x Hunter is great at that. He is creepy, threatening, extremely evil, but can be funny and entertaining to watch. Val... is not.
My issue is that his character is greatly imbalanced. Viv tries to make him both a total idiot while also trying to play his abuse in episode 4 100% straight and it just doesn't work. He has no charisma. He has no charm that would make me believe that Angel would ever make a deal with him over his soul in the first place and in the show he is always either dumb horny or dumb angry. That is a problem. He is disjointed character that makes me care less about Angel's story because he is simply a weak, disjointed, non threatening villain.
And I would personally prefer him if he was written in a different way. Like someone who is genuinely charming and doesn't really need a contract to lure people in and keep them by him. Someone that can hide beneath veneer of a loving person, but hiding something terrible underneath. Something more fitting for an Overlord from Hell.
But Val is not those things. The first scene we see him in is him throwing a childish fit and that is a HUGE mistake because it establishes Val as a joke and it makes it harder to take him seriously in episode 4. Not to mention how this idiocy of Val doesn't enhance anything about his abuse, it just lessens it. Hisoka is creepy and threatening BECAUSE he can be also funny. That's what makes him creepy as hell. He is ridiculous, but he is someone that can keep you on edge. Val is a joke trying not to be one and to me fails miserably. Much like every other abusive villain Viv writes. And yes I include because "Father of humanity" which he abuses.
And here is one last thing. All of those abusers either fall into daddy issues or relationship issues. The only two things Viv seemingly is interested in writing. There. Here are my issues with Val. Of course not all of them. But it's elaboration on my point from that post.
i mean i can definitely see those 'Stella's' traits in him (and most of the Vivienne's villains - the only who doesn't really fit at least from my perspective is adam - simply because he has a motivation to hate Lucifer), and i can recall that every episode Valentino had a somewhat new personality, but it's something that i could explain with the speed of the series in general. Something that made me believe that Valentino could exist is the change in his behavior - with Vox he is childish and kinda funny but he is gross and creepy when it comes to his employees like angel dust. From our point of view that makes him more entertaining but less intimidating - that's true, but I've been viewing this as a good thing as well. Simply because it's shows that Valentino (unlike stella) is capable to build somewhat proper relationship with Vox, and that Valentino (unlike Stella) isn't stupid all the time - honestly I have no idea where did you even see Stella being intimidating since she is written as evil and dumb on all time, since Vivienne wanted Stolas to look better compared to her, - so in that way he is actually decent written for a background character.
Obviously he is the bad guy, but as i felt while watching he was supposed to be simply gross and scary in the most mundane way, and that's someone he is capable to be.
And to be completely honest I've seen him as those 'lovingly charming but is secretly a dick character', but when you've mentioned it, it's true that he isn't like that in the slightest. I suppose it's his power that attracted angel dust but i really hope it's going to be decently revealed in the next season - right now i believe that Valentino is character who could be more interesting in the future if he is even going to get any progress. But I just hope there won't be any daddy issues.
to the conclusion, val as a character isn't something that made me wrote that post but the whole anti-Vivienne thing. literally, the most stupid post I've ever seen with a joke about mean girls and vees. maybe I'm wrong and in the future Valentino is going to get degraded into Stella's position in the series (i really liked her character before 2 season I'm salty about her) but right now the hate post is unjustified
